I have been obsessed with interested in comparing the different heights between the characters for a while now, using Eda's mugshot from Once Upon a Swap and screencaps of the characters standing next to Eda for the sake of comparison. And now I am crying heavily, because Hunter has had a MAJOR growth spurt in the months he spent on Earth (which I hoped would be the case. growth hormones are released in teens while they are sleeping, and Hunter has had a very poor sleep schedule before this point, so it makes sense that he'd shoot right up once he was in a more stable household)

Prior to the time skip, Hunter was around 6'0/6'1

But post time skip has him right under Eda's 6'5, when we use Luz as a point of comparison.

For those who are curious, Willow stands at 5'0

which means that the gap we see in the promo pic is legitimately their new height difference (as I secretly hoped it would be) and not just a difference in their footing.

Wanted to do headcanon sketchdump for my Lumity fankid Azura Noceda-Blight (and this has no mention of any Amphibia stuff)

1.Azura is friends with the original Hexsquad's kids but she has 3 of her own friends outside of those. Names and tracks unknown atm except that one of them (the fanged beast witchling) has a crush on Azura who doesn't know but it's obvious. 2. No matter what, just like with most grandmas, Camila must feed her grandbaby a feast. 3. Azura doesn't have many human friends but she has at least 2 in Gravesfield that she hangs out with when she's at Grandma Camila's place for the summer. Just like with the Hexside friends, no names atm. 4. Not 100% on this design for the Huntlow kid. I know most people use Ivy for their daughter but I wanted something from both of them and tried to look up a Puritan plant name but found nothing but Deliah which I like but not that much. So I went with Paulina which was Willow's original name in the test pilot. Her middle name which she prefers is more plant like but idk what it is atm. She has the same fashion sense as Hunter on Earth. 5. Amity quickly banned Eda from babysitting Azura alone after seeing Azura pickpocket people while they were at the market. Azura is out of practice and doesn't do that anymore...to randos. 6. Being in the Bard track, Azura has gotten several awards thanks to both covers of earth songs and her own original work.

Once I figure out more stuff, especially with the other og hexsquad, then I'll do a sketchdump with them and I'd like to do more comics with Azura and her friends too.

Part 2: More kiddos for the Park family! It's been really fun making these fankids and deep-diving into their personalities and interests, and I hope y'all noticed all of the little Easter eggs I put into them while designing! I honestly imagine Calla being a chaotic, adorable little kid who would pretty much take after King. I didn't write it down on my original post, but Auburn is 16 and the oldest. I think it's funny how whenever I see Huntlow fan kids there's always at least one girl. Like every time I see someone make Huntlow kids at least one of them is a daughter. Something about this 16-year-old screams "Future Girl Dad" for everyone.

I read In Blood We Rise and thoroughly enjoyed it! Your art is beautiful, the characters are interesting, and the lore of your story is fascinating! So of course I have questions. I'm not trying to ask for any spoilers, and if it doesn't interfere with your narrative plans, I'd love to learn more about the world and the people in it :)

For the Ashdown family curse, does it impact all first daughters of children had by any family member? (i.e. if Jessica and Logan have a daughter, she'd be at risk. Theodore's daughter Isabelle is at risk.) Or does the curse have other restrictions on who is impacted? Such as: only the first daughter of the family heir, only the first daughter born after currently cursed family member passes away, etc.

Do vampire peculiars have any specific powers, abilities, or weaknesses? I'm curious what, if anything, you're using from the common vampire mythos (besides the fangs), since Oliver seems to be a-okay with sunlight, doesn't (have to?) bite, and has to work out and/or do physical labor (I assume?) to be ready for a fight.

I ship Huntric more than Huntlow because Huntric has more potential even though it has little screentime.

Willow's arc isn't going well with Hunter's. She's just a normal citizen in the Boiling Isles and a student at Hexside, her family has no connection to Belos or the environment that Hunter is living in, that's it. No connection to the Coven Heads or Belos. The whole ‘half a witch” thing is forced. Besides the Flyer Derby, they have nothing in common.

Meanwhile, Edric is from the Blight family that works for Belos to create weapons. Both Hunter and Edric have family issues. They understand how it feels to live in an abusive environment. Both have to cope with loneliness. Edric feels lost without Emira while Hunter feels the same without Flapjack. Both of them are interested in wild magic and especially in animals. Edric is in Beast Keeping track, he has a bat named Badric, while Hunter is interested in wolves. Both of them have to hide their true selves: Edric has an illusion stone, and Hunter has to wear a mask. Edric is flirty and mischievous, that trait is natural to him more than Willow.

Hunter can still be his sassy self when Edric is flirty and mischievous with his prank, instead of being a blushing mess who can't stand up to Willow.

Huntlow may have more screen time but their potential is zero. Like people have to change her personality to be the flirty girlboss or make her the Plant Coven Head Terra's daughter in fanon to make that ship more fitting.

I have to agree with you. Huntric isn't the best Hunter ship, and I don't really know, if it's possible to write them naturally with the time toh had, but characters-wise, they would work so much better. Not only they have many things in common, but also Hunter could have believable relationship with Edric without becoming blushy usless malewife. Not to mention that after understanding that Belos was abusive (and evil, but it's not for this theme) and running away from him, Hunter needs equal partner, not someone who would be his "captain" or "girlboss". So, on condition that Lumity is still canon and Hunter needs love interest, Huntric is the best option anyway.

So I was thinking of a Huntlow rupphire au…

I’ll draw more doodles later, but the jist of this au is that Willow is Sapphire and Hunter is Ruby, and their fusion is still the role of Garnet. Luz is Greg and Amity is rose, so their daughter is Steven. (No hate on Rose here btw, I don’t dislike her at all so pls don’t be mad at me for making Amity her🙏)

I haven’t decided on the other Crystal gems yet but:

Willow’s gem = Vensuvianite and placed on her chest

Hunter’s gem = Amber (I thought Amber would fit bc it’s well known for preserving creatures for thousands of years and I thought that would fit the theme of Grimwalkers) and his gem is on his right wrist

Their fusion = Carnelian (or some other red-ish gem, I only found out till after I made all this info that there actually is a Carnelian in SU but whatever)

And I apologize for being ass at colouring 😭
