Yasuke would be SO upset with his research being used as a foundation for Neo World, though.

Yasuke's entire purpose in going into neurology was to help people regain memories, to fight what is implied to be early onset Alzheimer's (from which his mother is implied to have died). His entire thing is about helping people to remember and maintain the memories their mind wants them to lose.

(In this case, the implication that this was used to help the survivors regain their missing memories is on point.)

But the idea that his research would be used to literally strip people of their memories to make them live new lives and then rewrite over those memories is such an affront to his research. It is the exact opposite of what his research was for.

And he would hate both it and everyone who used it for that purpose.

I’m so incredibly sad to see some of the horrible shit people have written about Halle Bailey and the new Little Mermaid trailer, it’s so disheartening. Ariel has been my favorite character since I was little, I’ve been excited to see her story shown on the big screen again! But I'm so afraid to like this movie because of a lot of people’s reaction to it.

I don’t care that the actress playing Ariel is black, I don’t care that they are adding new songs, I want to see the movie regardless, no matter what small changes they’ve made because at the end of the day, I love The Little Mermaid’s story! I never cared what Ariel looked like in the original Disney movie, I liked her because she was hard-headed, sassy, a hopeless romantic, and had a fantastic singing voice! I related to her in a lot of ways because I also had a strict father and felt out of place in the world. Plus mermaids have always been my favorite mythical creature! 

I’ve seen so many rude, mean-spirited, and hateful comments about the actress and the movie and it makes me hesitant to be excited...I just want to see the movie I’ve loved forever in a new way. I know this turned into a rant but I wish people would give it a chance, or if they’re not willing to do that, keep their negative thoughts to themselves...

Melpomene- my experience with disliking my Source and why it occurred;

this is rather personal, yet I'd just feel better throwing it out here, so here goes nothing.

I hate my source, I hate it and by extension being considered anything like it (scp-035).

To me being anything like my source is like looking in a mirror and seeing nothing but the face of an unrecognisable monster staring back.

I didn't always hate my source, it mostly started back when we had been freshly revealed to the world, in a way.

As an ex-protecter, I got called to front frequently to allow the Memory-Keepers/Lore-Holders to better take memories that caused Aedan stress.

After a while I began being forced into front and, with no real thing to ground myself like the others here at that time. I began to develop a hate of my source because without it I wouldn't be like this (as that was, however unfortunately, logic that made sense to me back in that stressful place)

This all lead to dislike of being associated with my source, and I became so unpredictable that I HAD to be locked away till I could become safe in front on my own.

And despite being in a FAR better place now, I still risk becoming unpredictable again. Which is partly the reason I choose to distance myself from my source
