I've made the decision to leave Tumblr and continue posting on AO3 instead (including my ongoing series, ie SWID, TMWH and SFTD). I am not deactivating - all my posted works will stay up, but you won't be seeing me here at all, I'm sorry.

I can't stay in a community where people are so concerned with avoiding drama that they're willing to stand around and watch someone get bullied and harassed until they no longer feel welcome here. I understand not wanting to post about it in fear of getting harassed yourself, but that shouldn't stop you from reaching out to the person involved and asking what's true and not. You're still welcome to message me for clarification if you wish.

I wanted so badly to just ignore it and move on but I'm not made of stone. I can't scroll the feed anymore without wondering who thinks I'm a terrible person based on claims that were admitted to being fabricated. I haven't talked shit, I haven't lied, I haven't manipulated, I haven't done anything I've been accused of and neither has Iris. This has been insulting and awful for both of us, and there's been almost zero repercussions for the people starting this drama.

If you have no idea what I'm taking about, please read this post. If you contributed to this through spreading rumors, trashing me in group chats, vagueposting about me, or reblogging nasty posts/anons about me - congrats, you've bullied someone on the internet. Do you feel better about yourself now?

The only way I can continue posting fic is unfortunately by removing myself from what has become an incredibly toxic environment, which is disappointing and shocking to see from a fandom full of grown adults.

So to my readers and the friends I've made here - I love you with all my heart, and I can't thank you enough for your support. My casual readers, my reply guys, you have given me the gift of writing, which has been so healing for me and something I hope to keep doing for a long time to come. I want to stay in touch with you and I want you to be able to continue reading my stuff, so you have a few options.

I will be posting on my AO3 account also called chloeangelic. If you subscribe to me there, you'll get emails when I upload. AITA for backing out of an art exchange because the person who pulled my name has an art style I really don't like?

In the fandom based Discord I'm in we had a small art exchange last month. Everyone got randomly paired with someone else to exchange art based on their prompts.

I'm a big believer in all art having value and that people enjoy different art styles, but unfortunately the person I was paired with has a really specific art style that I just.

Honestly, I hate it.

Our fandom is soft-anime style, think something like Genshin or similar art. Anime but more rounded off, 3D style.

However this artist has a really sharp, angular, honestly a little strange kind of art style that makes the final result look nothing like the original character design at all except for features like their clothing being the most obvious clue as to who they are.

If you ever read the really old Roald Dahl books with the super pointy, triangular art style, its kind of like that. Huge, super sharp pointy chins and noses, super long faces, all of the eyes drawn in the same long, sideways triangle style.

Its amazing that they have a style they like, but its 100% not my style and I really didn't want to have to fawn over it and share it across my socials when it is clearly the opposite of the art style I like.

I wound up pretending I had an unexpected work trip which meant I had to back out of the exchange (which actually wound up being true, but the trip was only 3 days so it wasn't like I wouldn't have had the 3 other whole weeks to work on my side of the exchange.) I was super polite about it, because again, its not my style but its theirs and I'd never deliberately make someone feel bad about their art.

Well, turns out some genius in our server forgot we all follow each other on Tumblr too and made a post basically laughing about how I had the balls to get out of it and how funny and smart they found it.

The mods sent a screenshot of it into the server and said bullying would not be tolerated and I got a warning for bullying. I pointed out I hadn't lied about the trip and I wasn't even the one who made the post, but they blacklisted talking about it further and made a new rule that if you fail to participate in future exchanges for anything less than like, someone dying or whatever, you get removed from the server completely.

All around nobody is happy about any of it, and there's talks about voting to just veto exchanges completely both because nobody wants to single people out and nobody wants to be forced to fawn over art they don't like.

I'm mostly angry with the person who poked their nose in because before they said anything it was completely fine with me and the other artist. They understood completely, we joked about how shit work is, and they were just going to do an art piece for the server as a whole which I thought was a really cute outcome, but now both of them have gone silent in the server and won't reply to anyone.

Regarding my SBI/DSMP Fics

TW: Abuse, Trauma, and Mentions of Suicide.

With all that has happened, I did want to come out here and make my stance clear. I will always stand with Shelby (Shubble) and all of the victims who are speaking out against Will Gold (Wilbur Soot). If you still support that bastard, unfollow me and leave my blog and whatever small community I made.

I've already stated this is my Discord channel, but I want to put it here too.

For me, c!Wilbur is so far removed from cc!Wilbur that I don't connect the two. The characters are vessels for my own characterizations and stories. It's a bit like writing Supernatural*, Twilight, or Hazbin Hotel fanfics. I don't support the guy, monetarily or otherwise, he does not interact with fanfics, I have plans to be very vocal that I'm on Shelby's side no matter what/make it clear that what Will did is wrong, and I don't use his real life events as plots in my stories. At least, I certainly don't try to. It's why I typically change traits about the characters. (I.e. Tommy is shorter, Phil is taller, Techno is bulky, and Wilbur always has golden/hazel eyes.)

I'm aware that it's a tad different because it's rp and not something like a full on book or an actor in a movie, but DSMP has also been over for over two years and the characterizations I make for SBI are not at all based on the CCs. Real life Techno isn't a literal terrorist, Phil ain't a father married to a goddess, Tommy is not a traumatized child soldier, and Wilbur isn't suicidal and blowing up countries.

I think I'll likely focus more on Techno, Tommy, and Phil for a while, but I'm not gonna let one dude ruin a fandom and things I've made for myself. Nothing I write is ever made for Wilbur, as I've seen people saying. Additionally, Wilbur was not the only writer. Technoblade, Philza, TommyInnit, and so many others made that story what it was. Not him.

However, if any CCs come forward saying they don't want their old characters interacting with his, I will respect that.

Though I do think there is a tendency to take real life events (i.e. Techno's cancer, LJ's music, Tommy's real life parents, etc.) and put them into fiction about DSMP. I, however, don't try to do that and have stated before that I don't feel comfortable doing so. The truth is that we have not gotten any genuine SBI content outside of DSMP for years. The dynamic in real life is very different from what was presented in the DSMP. Did personalities still bleed over? Yes, I'm not going to deny that, but I'm not going to act like they're exactly the same between character and person either. We've had that conversation like in 2021, it's why we have C! and CC!.

The rather sad truth is, SBI is what got me really into writing and it's a comfort for me that nothing can compare to. Obviously, I don't think it's appropriate to be writing certain types of stories right now or to be involving characters made by CCs outside of the DSMP. I think it's up to everyone else to decide on what they want to do, however, rushing it also isn't the way to go either. Give yourself time to heal and think it over first instead of throwing away something that gives you comfort and has not been associated with by the creators for over two years.

Anyways, fuck Will Gold. Fuck the fact that he hurt so many people, and fuck that he lied and manipulated his way around the damn internet. ESPECIALLY fuck the fact that he tried to diminish what he did and not take proper accountability.

Go and support Shelby so so much, she and everyone who spoke out really deserve it. I'm glad silence on these types of issues is not being normalized.

I have had a situation recently, and I would like your advice on it. I run a gaming discord server, with private servers for a few games. A streamer joined who claimed to have DID. They seemed to flaunt it all over their streams, seemingly very attention seeking. This, to me, seems likely to be fake, but I am unsure. Can you give any input? I don't want to have someone who makes up mental illnesses, discrediting those who actually have them, around, but I also don't want to falsely accuse someone.

sure, i’m happy to give my input, but it might not be what you’re looking for. you seem to have good intentions and this isn’t meant to bully or shame you at all, i just want to gently push back on this a little bit.

i personally believe there is never a good enough reason to accuse someone of faking a mental illness, especially something like DID/OSDD. there is no reliable way to spot a faker, and accusing people of lying does far more to hurt the community than faking does. let me explain.

some systems like to talk about their experiences, some don’t. same goes for anyone with any condition. talking about one’s plurality frequently is not automatically them flaunting it, and it’s certainly not grounds to assume they’re faking. plurality informs one’s entire life, we should be allowed to talk about it without having to worry if we’re being perceived as attention seeking.

here’s the thing. it’s wonderful that you want to help protect people who have DID/OSDD from people who might be faking it and i don’t doubt for a second that your intentions are genuine, but accusing someone of faking based on how you perceive them will do far more to discredit them than someone who’s actually faking it.

because here’s what’s going to happen if you remove them from your space because you think they’re faking: everyone around you who may be a closeted system - or even just anyone with a highly stigmatized disorder - is going to know that your acceptance of them isn’t based on their self-report, it’s based on your own perception of their symptoms. they will no longer feel free to be themselves, because showing their symptoms comes with the risk of being kicked out. you’ll have effectively made your space less safe for people with stigmatized conditions. and for the accused person, you’ll have removed them from a space that’s meant to be safe and completely invalidated their lived experience based on them choosing to speak about said experience.

on the flipside, let’s say they are faking and you do nothing. most likely scenario, they’re attention seeking and using DID to get the attention they want. what ends up happening most of the time is the person faking it eventually gets tired of the harassment and of having to keep all their lies straight and they stop.

of course lying about an already stigmatized condition for attention is an awful thing to do, and i’m not defending people who do it. what i am saying is that it is far less harmful to accidentally include a liar than it is to exclude someone who may or may not be lying with no way to know for sure if they are.

TLDR: whether they’re faking or not, them talking about it isn’t a reason to assume they are. and regardless, it’s always better to assume they’re telling the truth.

Summitclan Chronicles (abbreviated as SCC) is a roleplay based in the Adirondack State Park on a fictional mountain peak. Adorned with its own long-abandoned trails, edged by road and river, and well-populated by ferns, berries and trees, the mountain sets a perfect stage for a small population of feral cats to suddenly become something new, unique and special.

This roleplay heavily features themes of community, mutual aid, character building, story progression and slice of life exploration; it seeks to dig deep into what the daily life of a Clan would truly look and feel like as a culture, as a friend group, as an identity and as a living unit made up of individuals that grow and change as they interact.

We open in 2024! Keep an eye on this blog - we'll be answering asks, posting advertisements and diving into what this roleplay actually tastes like when sampled. Until then, these are the basics you'll need to know about that coming opening:

Acceptances will only be offered to those who have a DMable Discord account, as the roleplay is based entirely on discord with resources hosted on Google Docs.

Every player will only have 1 character at a time. In order to have a new character, the old one must die or permanently leave the clan.

After the Grand Opening, the roleplay will become semi-public; new members will have opportunities to join as new kittens, loners/strays, or as a part of a band of strangers as part of a wider plot. People who do not get accepted during the Grand Opening are able to opt in for getting contacted down the line for such opportunities (so long as their application was acceptable).

Most of Summitclan's lore is a secret. As an observer you'll be privy to a few select shared things, particularly: holidays, a few landmarks, and their base belief system. People with characters that do not have a True Name (aka warrior name) will not have access to the lore until they get their Name and, until then, will have to learn the lore organically from those who have access to it.

In Summitclan, your legacy lies before you. There is no single arching plot to bump or nudge your story; only naturally-occuring events and situations brought on by other players. Everything that happens in the roleplay is the result of strings being tugged in the complex web of clan and mountain peak living. No matter what you do, your character(s) will leave cats behind who will be affected by them, sometimes cats they've never met. Will their names be said with chins held high, or in hushed, fearful whispers?

One Week: Brand New Life is a discord based 20+ Danganronpa OC roleplay, featuring discord submission trials and an active, plot-relevant deadzone, allowing dead characters to continue to freely interact with the living if they wish. Our cast will be exploring their recently developed powers in an ever expanding city over international waters that you yourself will help define and build. Twenty characters from across the world will get to experience a unique, extended prologue that will cover one year of in-game time, before the actual MKG begins. We aim to bring you a potentially lighter, relaxed environment, both in and out of character; while still being following the typical killing game formula.

The game will feature a flexible 4 to 5 week schedule over 5 chapters, as well as a prologue and endgame, with trials that last several days to accommodate varying timezones and schedules. “How are you feeling today, dear?” Lilia asks quietly, pressing his hand against Silver’s forehead. The boy is a little warmer than usual — not quite to the extent of a drastic fever yet, but bordering slightly on it. Perched on the edge of Silver’s soft bed, he reaches out to smooth locks of hair out of his son’s eyes as they flutter open, gazing at him blearily.

Silver’s lips press together as his face scrunches up, thinking through his words before he says, “‘m alright, Father—”

“Nonsense,” Lilia interrupts briskly, narrowing his eyes at Silver; that was not the answer he wanted to hear, his son downplaying his status for the sake of reassuring him, as he is wont to do. “You’re warmer than usual. If I allow you to head to school in this condition, you’ll surely fall properly ill!”

There is a pause, during which Lilia reaches out to adjust Silver’s pillows, rising from the bed to tuck him properly under his blankets. Eventually, he hears, “I just… wish I did not fall sick so often.”

And oh, Lilia’s heart twists at that, a pang of guilt burrowing its way into his chest, wedging itself between his veins. Bile rises at the back of his throat, a foul taste that he swallows down.

He knows why Silver is sick, why he is always sick. As the years pass by and Silver grows older, he has gone from a spirited and vibrant child, so full of energy, laughing and running about daily, to something… weaker. More prone to illness, his skin taking on a pallid hue. And to make matters worse, he was now prone to bouts of accidental napping, slipping in and out of sleep without noticing, dozing off at the strangest and worst of times.

Lilia knows the cause, even as the doctors don’t and Silver doesn’t. The answer to it lies in the bottom of a chest tucked below his bed, hidden behind dozens of boxes and containers that he has never quite gotten around to properly sorting. A soft coat of fluffy fur, dried after over a decade away from the sea, tinged in shades of grey and white, speckles dotting the darker patches of fur.

(A memory flashes to mind, unbidden, etched in the depths of his psyche: He is younger, sitting on the coarse sand of the beach, a sea of stars twinkling above as the waves lap at the shoreline. In his arms is but a baby, wrapped up in a coat far too big for his body, blinking open those big eyes to gaze up at him with nothing but pure adoration in those auroral pupils.

Lilia knew, at that point, that a part of him would be loath to ever let this strange, mystical child go.)

“But you cannot help it,” Lilia finally says, coming back to himself. He leans over, running a hand through Silver’s hair, stroking his head affectionately, feeling his dear boy lean into his touch. “I keep telling you to rest well and take it easy, lest you overstrain yourself and fall ill again. You must learn to be patient with yourself, Silver — otherwise how are you going to get better?”

“I know,” Silver mumbles, thoroughly dejected. The guilt stabs at Lilia again, but he smothers it, stifles it, shoves it down. A small smile graces his son’s face as their eyes meet. “Thank you for taking care of me, Father,” Silver says, a reverence to his words.

Lilia smiles back, stomach churning with a regret he buries under the weight of his love.

“Anything for my most darling son.”

Well, here it is. Since me defending myself last time without naming anyone is a “call out post” I wonder what this is.

CW: Discussion of abuse, manipulation, and accusations of gr--ming, s-icide faking.

While it may not seem like it, since last year I have been paranoid and looking over my shoulder due to certain things that have come to light regarding someone who I had once considered a friend. The person who has gone on to blatantly lie about my friends and I as well as accusing me of a serious crime based on lies and manipulations is the user @Chibidashie (on Tumblr)/ @Chibiidashie (on Twitter) also known as @Wonderful-World-Of-Hetalia, @Purin-Hime, and @hetalia-themagicalmanac on Tumblr. 

I’d like to keep this as brief and concise as possible, and while she has made multiple posts vagueing my friends and I, I will be primarily responding to the claims made in this post ( https://www.tumblr.com/chibidashie/700598829666451456/alright-this-is-gonna-be-very-risky-posting-here?source=share ) she made about my friends and I on tumblr, though I will also address other notable times she has mentioned me. I will also only be responding to the claims she has made against me and/or my gf, as I don’t feel like it’s my place to speak for the rest of my friends, especially since some of them will be making their own posts regarding the situation.

Something I’d also like to address before we start is that while I do have screenshots for most of these incidents, I don’t have screenshots for all of them, as some of these conversations have happened over VC and while we are telling our truth, we understand if you are skeptical about those specific sections.

Some Context:

I had met Cheebs about two years ago in my friend Mick’s (then known as Gil and who will be referred to as such in screenshots later) old Hetatwt discord server, and sometime later she would join my own (now inactive) server.

Mick and Cheebs have a much longer history together than she does with me, though I do not believe it’s my place to speak much on that as that is his story to tell. However, sometime after Cheebs and Mick had joined the friend group, Mick and Cheebs had a falling out. She reacted to this by going to most of her and Mick’s mutual friends (including me) in an attempt to turn us against him, however when we asked him, Mick told us the truth and provided full context to what happened.

Later, Cheebs contacted me to apologize once again, and while I did try to remain mature about it, after everything that had happened I was already hurt and tired enough and finally told her off. To which she apologized again, and said she’ll improve herself and come back to give us a genuine apology when she was ready.

(I will be starting off with this section, as it’s the start of the accusations Cheebs has levied against me. When Cheebs is referring to A she’s referring to me, P for Mick, and S for Salt, my gf. Mick is also referred to as “Gil” in some of the screenshots, as that was a name he used to go by. The reason why Cheebs calls Mick P is because an old name he went by was “Percy” and the reason why Cheebs uses A to refer to me is because my legal name starts with an A. This will become important later)

We did not “suddenly” decide to “exclude” you from the rps in our servers because we were “suddenly uncomfortable” out of nowhere. We had our own reasons as to why we were uncomfortable with your OC’s inclusion in the rp.

The main OC that Cheebs would rp in these servers is her OC Mary, a child. The main issue that we had with her rping this character isn’t “Oh an adult rping a kid is weird and gross”, it’s that she tried to push her again, child OC, into an rp where characters who were pretty awful people (much less anyone you’d trust with a kid) were discussing and engaging in scenarios that are highly inappropriate for children, with the main topics usually being about drugs and suggestive themes. 

It would have been one thing if we were simply rping a fun slice of life rp or if Cheebs was rping an of age character but still excluded her, but that wasn’t the case. Many of us were very uncomfortable with her trying to insert a child into these sorts of situations and were simply trying to reinforce our boundaries.

“People, including A and their friends posted art on the art channel and would get a lot of responses from everyone on the server. I would post my art...and it seemed like I did not exist. A and their friends would post art over me, drowning my art in praise for A and their friends.”

This isn’t true, there are multiple instances where we would respond to her art. Were they lengthy comments where we would go into deep detail about what we liked? Not really but we did at least acknowledge and compliment her work and tried to show appreciation. Not only that, but Cheebs would also do the same to us, multiple times.

Also-

“this had reminded me of a similar occurrence in which a popular artist in the same fandom had done this as a tactic to harass me and send porn in servers that minors were present in.”

This came out of complete left field, and was most likely an attempt to paint me in a similar predatory light. She will try to do this again later on in the same post, which only adds weight to my concerns regarding this statement.

“Meanwhile on A's server, A would dehumanize me into nothing more than a living, breathing joke, despite knowing well that I am autistic and a survivor. One vc I clearly remember was something that went like this:A: Guys, my cat is in my room!Me: tell your cat I love them!A: Okay! [Pause] ...Oh? What's that? Cheebs, My cat says she hates you.”

I won’t deny that I’ve made this joke before, I’ve actually made it multiple times. However, what Cheebs fails to mention is that I didn’t single her out when making jokes like this, this is literally just how I joke with friends in general. The rest of the people who were on VC with us can vouch for it, and have had this joke and similar jokes directed towards them before while Cheebs was present in VC.

Not only that, but if Cheebs was so hurt by it, then she should have mentioned it to me instead of just laughing along with us. How am I supposed to magically know how others feel without them telling me? If she was honest with me and told me how it made her feel I would’ve stopped making those jokes, but she never told me, and now I’m at fault for not being able to read her mind?

“yet nobody in A's server really seemed to care that I was hurting and quite literally living a massive flashback from having so many ptsd episodes. they simply did not care at all nor asked if I was okay.”

I assume she’s talking about her vents in the vent chat and the lack of response to them, which again, something she seems to purposefully leave out is the fact that the vent chat was only accessible to people with the vent chat role. Not only that, but some of us had the vent chat muted at the time, as many of us were dealing with our own struggles and were not in the proper headspace to check on it often.

What only makes this statement even more frustrating is that even with that, there were still people who did check up on her and respond to her vents, such as Mick and my SO, Salt.

P’s server:

“They had also been uncomfortable at the fact I was venting about how A had hurt and dehumanized me countless times, and had not been held accountable by the people around them. They truly believed that I was shit-talking about A, when I was living a flashback of how A reminded me so much of our abuser personality-wise. P had sided with A.”

Held accountable for what? Not being able to read your mind on what jokes you were and weren’t comfortable with? Again, I apologize if whatever jokes I’ve made has made you uncomfortable, but you can’t vilify me for not knowing when you made no effort to tell me at the time.

And Mick wasn’t uncomfortable with you simply “venting”, he was uncomfortable with you lying about me and twisting the truth while naming me, while I was none the wiser to what was going on and still thought we were cool. Again, as I’ve repeated before, if you had simply stated your boundaries and come to me about how you felt then I would have respected them. But you never did.

“A had never interacted at all since joining my server, only basically watching me.”

I’m barely active on most servers I’m in, even the servers of some of my closest friends. And I’ll even admit this, I almost never checked Cheeb’s server, and whenever I did it was to get rid of the tagged notification that would pop up often. However this wasn’t out of malicious intent, I’m just the type of person who’ll join a server but barely say or do anything in it and Cheebs is reaching if she believes this is “evidence of espionage”.

“A's s/o, S, would interact and occasionally join game night with my friends, but even S had a very good facade that they were committed acts of espionage for the love of A”

This specific line makes me a lot angrier than it should. Because not only is this a fucking lie (again), but even when the rest of us were beginning to catch onto Cheeb’s true nature, Salt was the one to actually try to stick with Cheebs and try to be the best friend she could to her even when she herself was uncomfortable or hurt by Cheebs. We were even hesitant to tell Salt everything that Cheebs had done, including talking shit about Salt behind her back, because we didn’t want to force a wedge between Salt and who we perceived as a friend she loved.

Salt wasn’t spying on you Cheebs, and didn’t even know about our issues with you and how you talked about her behind closed doors until we told her. She trusted you and stuck by you even at the cost of her own comfort and mental health, and you decided to repay her by lying about her behind her back.

“(which i theorize that A had actually groomed S due to the fact that when i met them in A's server, A was 18 and S was 16 as well as the power imbalance between the two.)”

Well, this again is a blatant lie. And a really dangerous accusation to carelessly toss around without evidence. Salt and I are the same age, with the age gap between us being only 8 months. I should also mention that while she only uses the first initials of our usernames (or legal name in my case) to refer to us here on this post, she had referred to us by name in her server.

And while you might go “Well this was in private so it’s ok” word and gossip still spreads around, and I’ve lost friends because someone had lied about me like this before.

abusive conflict

Well this one is going to be a doozy to get through

“I had dmed A about the fact i was not a fool and i knew that everyone involved (P, S, F and D) were hiding something about me. I had no answer until around midnight, in which A verbally abused me by accusing me of guilt-tripping, as well as bringing up past mistakes of mine to make themselves appear morally superior. i admit, i had made mistakes that can easily be solved in A’s server from communicating with each other, but A had verbally abused me over dms to the point that i had a panic attack late at night, with only 2 hours of sleep and a long work day in the morning.”

This isn’t what happened at all, quite the opposite actually. Cheebs came crawling to me, begging for forgiveness. And while I did respond at midnight (for her, I’m CT not EST), it’s not as though Cheebs messaged me earlier in the day with me deliberately responding late at night so she could barely have energy to work the next day, because Cheebs had initially messaged me from 11:30 pm - 12:00 am EST. 

I also had work the next day and was already stressed enough with preparing for upcoming classes when Cheebs had suddenly messaged me that late at night, tired, stressed, and at my wits end with Cheeb’s constant excuses, I messaged her this:

I, and many others, were tired of her not only dragging us into her falling out with Mick and her attempts to turn us against him, but also her overall two faced behaviour towards the rest of us as well. While yes, I could’ve worded this much nicer, at this point I was already tired and hurt by what she had done to us. I was the one who ended up confronting her about these problems, not the other way around.

“i had begged A to stop with the verbal abuse, but A was unrelenting. A kept going about how i was a terrible person for standing up for myself and being upset of P leaving me, in which they had told me “go apologize to P”, despite also saying "your apologies do not mean anything to us".”

I did not say this, as you can see in my message to her what I actually said and meant was “Apologies don’t mean anything if you don’t follow through with them”, and they don’t. Apologies are meant as an expression of feeling sorry for your actions and that you’ll at least try to do better, but they really don’t mean anything if you just keep repeating what you were apologizing for. It’s not a “get out of jail free card” you can use over and over again.

You also didn’t “beg” me to “stop verbally abusing you”, so I don’t know where that came from.

I also didn’t tell Cheebs to “Apologize to Mick for getting mad at him abandoning you” I told her to apologize to him for trying to drag everyone else into this situation and attempt to turn us against him, when this was all happening he was incredibly stressed out because she just kept running to anyone who knew him to tell them “He’s actually a terrible, cruel person who ABANDONED me and his friends!” while refusing to hear why he wanted to distance himself from her (which he will go into more detail in his own post).

“i had asked A if they were spying on me. what A said was something like “no, but P told me everything.”. A contradicted themselves, and i had assumed so; they too were a snake.”

“Something like” so not what I had actually said. This is how the conversation went:

But looking back on our messages, I was misremembering the situation. Before I joined, Cheebs told me that she was “cleaning her vents” and I got worried that she was shit talking Mick, but didn’t tell him immediately right away because I felt as though that was invading her privacy at the time. It wasn’t until Mick ended up venting to me that she’s been contacting everyone else, not just me, about the situation with Mick while twisting his words to make him sound worse and to try to get them to turn against him that I decided to tell him my concerns. Which is when he finally broke it to me about what she had been saying about me while naming me.

Cheebs had actually come to apologize to me about this in the past, however, she had only said that she vagued about us in her vents. When in reality, she was apparently naming us and twisting our actions into something more malicious than they actually were.

Also, I wasn’t only still hurt and mad about the “venting” about me, but I was also hurt by the implication of her suddenly deciding to “clean” the vents when I finally joined. That meant in the months after that, she: A- Didn’t even bother to delete those messages and tell the truth of what really happened

B- Still continued to lie about me to that server even after “apologizing” and didn’t want me to see it.

These potential outcomes, along with her trying to hide the truth from me and being overall dishonest, really hurt when I realized the whole truth.

“The last i spoke to A, A had said “come back to me when you apologize to P.””

I didn’t just say “come back when you apologize to Mick” I said “Come back when you resolve this with Mick.”, as in when you two talk through this and try to understand the other and stop taking worse-case assumptions and taking them as the fact and truth.

Foreword

“when A became verbally abusive, i had felt their aftershocks for around two weeks due to underlying ptsd and the fact that this confrontation was abusive in tone, and that they blamed me for all of these issues, from being excluded and all. it reminded me so much of my abuser, that i had begun to question whether i was a horrible person for the fact people had turned against me. even before A confronted me, i was already comparing myself to people like chris-chan and puppychan because of the fact these two were bad, not to mention that i was autistic.”

It was “abusive” in tone because I was angry, I was fucking tired of this situation and hurt by not only the things you had initially done, but also the way you would constantly tell us that you were “sorry” and that you’d “improve” when you never even tried.

Also no one except you compared yourself to Chris-Chan and Puppy-Chan, and no one else even brought up your autism, why are you bringing this up?

“was me venting about being harmed by people who turned against me a bad thing?”

Venting in itself isn’t bad, but what is bad is lying about people and their character while naming them. Stuff like that spreads around and can even be spread to outside your friend group. Again, I’ve lost friendships and now a portion of a community I was in thinks I’m pro-nazi/pro-pedo because of a similar situation like this where someone went around lying about my friends and I behind our backs in private while we were none the wiser.

I’d even argue that naming people while lying about them behind their backs in a private group is even worse than publicly naming them, because it’s an incredibly underhand and scummy tactic to ruin someone’s reputation where they can’t even defend themselves. She knew exactly what she was doing.

“A especially needs to hold themselves accountable, for that they used me for nothing more than jokes at my expense. A’s friends were complacent in letting A get away with being manipulative and still dehumanize me against my will, this includes P.”

Ah yes, hold myself accountable for things I didn’t even know you were uncomfortable with because you refused to tell me. I’m terribly y’all for not being able to read minds.

I don’t need to “paint” you as manipulative because you’ve already proven that you are by your actions, especially in this post. Throughout this post you’ve constantly been catering to everyone’s emotions, tried to make yourself sound smaller and weaker compared to the rest of us than you actually were and are, and bring up things that were never mentioned or have little to nothing to do with the situation to make yourself appear more sympathetic.

An example would be in this very post where you randomly brought up your Polish ancestry out of no where and accused Mick's S/O of calling you a nazi when that never happened:

I wish it was handled better too, but I don’t think I’ll ever be getting that especially since you still vague about us (and presumably still shit talk us in private tho that’s just alleged) over literally a year later. Also how could we even hold ourselves accountable over things we weren’t even aware of??? Also, if being "truly sorry" is lying about others, especially when those lies include false grooming allegations, I'd hate to see you when you aren't.

Issues with interrupting:

Whenever we’d VC and Cheebs would join, more often than not, she would usually interrupt others and skew the conversation to what she wanted to talk about. Barely letting others speak and often directing the conversation back to her. Multiple times we would gently tell her to stop interrupting everyone else and let other people speak, she would say sorry, but then do it again. 

But one of the worst instances of this happening was when I was venting on call once. That night on call I was having a full on emotional breakdown, I was sobbing and overcome with grief at the time, and even contemplating taking my own life. Most of the server was there and were trying to be there for me, and when I tried to take a quick breath from all that crying, Cheebs thought it was a great time to go “...Sooo, moving on from that- Today is Dashcon’s anniversary!”

This really hurt me and made me feel as though the distress I was going through didn’t matter, so as calmly as I could possibly muster, I asked Cheebs to not interrupt me. Cheebs then disconnected, and Mick had to 

The Fanfic:

Because yes, Cheebs has literally dedicated a chapter of her fanfic to this situation. How do we know this? Because not only is one of the villains named Percival, the extended version of the name Percy (which Mick used to go by at the time), while one of them is named Aiden whose name starts and ends with the same letters as my legal name. 

But also because most of the things that these characters do is what Cheebs accused us of (along with her adding on additional worse things to appear more sympathetic), as well as her admitting that she based it on how “Old friends treated me” and looking at the timing of this message, it matches up.

This is where I feel Cheebs becomes more insidious in her ways of slandering us and trying to make herself look like the victim.

In this fanfic Percival, Aiden, and their friends are described as a “gang”, violently physically assault Jack (Cheeb’s self insert), are described as rowdy, violent, thieves, and “demons”. The main reason why I take issue with these things specifically, especially with the way she makes the falling out seem more violent on our end is because- Mick and I are not white. Mick is african-American and I am Southeast Asian. The rest of our friend are all Latine, while Cheebs is white.

Cheebs knows we’re darker skinned POC, she’s seen our faces in video calls before and she has listened in on our conversations regarding our experiences as racial minorities. She knows that black and brown people struggle with stereotypes of being violent and crude gang members, stereotypes that can get people attacked or even killed. Yet she still decided it was a good idea to portray characters that are blatantly based on us as violent delinquents attacking her weak and helpless self insert based on herself, a white woman.

Could she have just written this just for the sake of it? Perhaps. But going by her logic as well, with her accusing me of being ablest for simply calling her manipulative in my other post defending myself, it wouldn’t be too far of a reach to think she’s applied this logic to her fanfic. This is literally the definition of “White woman tears”. Words can’t describe how disturbed and uncomfortable I felt seeing her portray us in this way, especially when she knew of the shit we and our people have to deal with.

Also in that boat:

We never called you that, and it’s weird that you would even bring that up (this was before we found out about the fanfic, and looking back at it in retrospect…)

The “Neurotypical” comic:

 Shortly after I found out that Cheebs was accusing me of being a “groomer”, I decided to make a post defending myself and showing evidence of Salt and I being the same age. Cheebs had apparently felt threatened by this, even though I never named her, never brought up her autism, and even kept her gender identity private. In response she made this comic:

This post was made a couple days after I posted the post where I defended myself against her accusations of grooming. Not only is this comic grossly misrepresenting the situations (my post was me defending myself against this claims with evidence, and Cheeb’s “vents” were her lying about me while using my name), but also- I’m most likely not neurotypical, and Mick isn’t either.

Mick is professionally diagnosed with ADHD and PTSD and self diagnosed with Autism, and while I’m not professionally diagnosed with anything, that doesn’t confirm whether I’m neurotypical or not, and based on my own behaviours I’ve noted growing up I believe I might have either ADHD and/or Autism.

I currently cannot get a professional diagnosis due to financial issues, familial/cultural issues, and transportation issues. I currently don’t have any means to get diagnosed, and even if I did, familial and cultural pressure from my family has scared me into being unable to ask them for help.

This is something I would bring up frequently in the server we were in, and Cheebs was well aware of this. So it feels incredibly callous of her to use this as a way to make it seem like we’re a bunch of “mean neurotypicals attacking someone for being autistic”. Which makes this situation even more baffling is that Cheebs supports self-diagnosis but still uses other’s inability to be professionally diagnosed as a point against them:

The “Draw Your Squad” incident:

This was in response to a draw the squad picture my friend Bowie drew of us:

The reason why Cheebs wasn’t in this picture was because this “Draw Your Squad” pic was based on whenever we would actually play monopoly/Bankroll on Plato, and whenever we did Cheebs would never join us or never even asked to join. Again, Cheebs never even tried to join and never told us that she wanted to be included, how were we supposed to know if she never brought it up?

The most recent “vent” art: Recently, at the time of writing this, Cheebs has posted this piece to her art blog.

Yeah this is obviously based on me (and presumably Mick), not only do the accusations match up but the puppet master character has strong similarities to my sona, Dappy.

It’s incredibly evident that she’s still set on shit talking and vagueing us, even over a year later.

Other issues:

While these aren’t completely related to the topic of Cheebs slandering my friends and I, there are other incidents that make me incredibly uncomfortable, especially as an Asian person.

Sometimes, how Cheebs talks about Asian things (especially Japanese stuff) comes off as rather fetishy and racially/culturally insensitive.

“Nothing like Spirited Away”

In this post, Cheebs talks about going to a Korean bathhouse for an early birthday gift. While there’s obviously nothing wrong with embracing other cultures, it is off putting to see her adding “Def nothing like Spirited Away though lmao” at the end.

And while yes, she’s most likely making a small joke about a movie she likes, it seems like she decided to make the comparison because “Japan and Korea are East Asian countries”. Which not only comes off as pretty racist, but feels even more gross considering Japan’s colonization of Korea and the atrocities that happened during that time.

“Hikikomori”

Well this feels gross. Basically Cheebs is calling herself a “hikikomori”, which is a phenomenon in Japan where people become shut in from society. They don’t go outside, not to go to work, to school, or anything else. It is a serious form of severe social withdrawal that devastates the lives of many.

Which is why it feels gross that Cheebs is deciding to use the word as a “cute” synonym for being an introvert. Cheebs is definitely not a hikikomori, she goes to work, attends college, goes to cons, goes to meetups, still as irl relationships, etc. And while yes, she is introverted and shy, that alone does not make someone a hikikomori, and it feels more like she’s using the term as a “kawaii” alternative to introvert.

Conclusion:

Please don’t attack Cheebs or anyone else in this situation, all I want is for my name to be cleared and for this situation to end. I’m tired of constantly having to look over my shoulder, I’m tired of being lied about behind my back, I just want her to be held accountable and for her to stop lying about me. If any of you guys have other questions or need further context for some of these I will respond to your questions, but this is all that came to mind in regards of this situation. 

Again, please don’t attack Cheebs, her friends, or anyone else in this situation. We just want this to stop and for her to stop lying about us.

Random thought but

Also, SPOILERS if you haven’t watched Ghost in The Shell 💀) But I just had a random thought.

So you know how some of us are curious to know whether Pinocchio feels human to the touch, or not? (not in the perverted sense. 🙁)

It got me thinking back to Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in The Shell and how she was created, skin wise mostly 💀

First, she started out like this. Her parts being assembled, and then she gets dumped in the green liquid, before she suddenly comes to the surface.

THEN judging by the following scenes, it seems that the green stuff is what made up her hair and skin cells, considering she was both bald and robotic looking when she got marinated in the green sauce 💀

FINALLY, comes out of the green stuff, and suddenly it starts to lift from her body, and it reveals she looks completely humanoid. No signs of her being robotic whatsoever. No her skin is a peachy pale, her lips are colored, and her hair is black. (Looks brown in the pic but I wasn’t quick enough to take a screenshot 🤡)

For one, Ive seen some theories on both here, and the Lies of P discord revolving around THIS dude possibly being either the Ghost of Geppetto’s original son that from what we know, Pinocchio in the original story, was made in his image.

(Also, this was the best picture I could find of him, I just took the first pic I googled 💀)

Cool right? We also see a dude who looks EERILY SIMILAR TO HIM, pop out when Pinocchio’s fighting, only thing is he’s glowing blue and white and his name is Spector…

Bro. Considering that this is a darker retelling of Pinocchio on top of being a Dark Souls game, I think all hands are on the table to theorize some macabre shit. 👀

Antonia did say something Along the lines of Geppetto being mad with guilt. Of course that could be could also be taken as her joking to Pinocchio about him, kind of like when your parent’s friends joke to you about how your parents were back in the day or something, but I find it kind of weird that Spector can pop up in fights when needed, as well as I find it weird that Pinocchio, from what we saw from both the trailer and now the demo, hear’s someone whisper “Wake up” and this causes his eyes to squint slightly as if he too is wondering if he just heard that shit himself. 💀

And then with it coming out that we can lie to Geppetto as well, i also find that weird since it seems from both the advertisement for the game and the little demo gameplay we have, it seems that we’re supposed to be helping Geppetto in a sense find out both the cause to why the robots have gone rogue, as well as protecting the innocent around him. Why would he need to lie to Geppetto if we’re on the same side?

And yeah we can say, “So he can feel like a real boy.” But part of me personally feels like Pinocchio (from what I personally understood from the demo) doesn’t really have that goal in mind.

Yet…

Right now, I feel like he’s just lying because it benefits him at the moment. I mean if he told the truth about being a puppet, he wouldn’t have been able to get into the hotel. Of course, there’s the other things he lies about that he might not need to necessarily lie about… but Geppetto made him with free will. Who’s to say the moment he lied and felt his gears turning, the next time he’s offered the choice, he just lies because he’s curious as to what he’s feeling? (Kind of like how Motoko was curious if the memories she had were artificial or not and this causes her to do things like go scuba diving for “relaxation” knowing if her system malfunctions, she’s fucked and even Bautou find it weird she’s willing to risk it)

Finally, jumping back to how I said I feel like his goal to becoming a real boy (if the game is going to keep that key element having to do with the fairytale the games based on) as well as why I brought up Ghost in the Shell in the first place.

What if Geppetto made Pinocchio using his son?

Again, if you’ve seen Ghost in the Shell, Motoko spent the film wondering if the memories she had were ones she made up to feel less artificial, and she questions had she ever been human considering her current brain (the grey thing in the first pictures of Motoko I added) was a now a cyber brain and that they had added what they refer to, as her “Ghost” to this artificial brain.

Due to the fact her actual body had been in the process of dying, and in an effort to save her, they basically removed her brain in spinal cord and for a moment in time, placed it in a artificial child’s body (the death of her body happened when she was a child. Sounds suspiciously similar right? 👀 The only aspect of it being in the actual Pinocchio story, the puppet doesn’t become possessed with the spirit of Geppetto’s dead son.)

Like, what if part of the main storyline other than the crazy killer puppets, is Pinocchio questioning his creation? And what if “Spector” is the voice trying to drop hints to him about this? (Like what if his gears moving is Spectors way of telling him he’s going in the direction he’s trying to guide him to?)

Also, considering that the story takes place around the early 19th century, even with the crazy (modern for their time)yet old inventions, just how the fuck was Geppetto able to make Pinocchio appear so human? Like the hair on his head is not a wig, and while his skin is clearly blemish free and smooth, his skin appears to have obviously have pores on it. Like I feel like if he wanted to, he could facially emote so easily and I wouldn’t guess anything about him was robotic at all.

Small thought on the end of LiS

I'm going to say something controversial. After all, over half of the folks who played the game disagree... but I think that if it were up to Max Caulfield rather than the player... then there is no Choice. Max would always choose to save Chloe.

My opinion is based off of two things: what Max Caulfield says and what she writes in her journal. The problem is, many folk would skim over the journal or ignore it outright.

Even after a self-destructive "nightmare" sequence trying to drive a wedge between Max and her feelings for Chloe, Max's journal shows how much she cares for Chloe and how her thoughts are fully fixated on keeping Chloe safe. If you listen to her words then you hear a girl who does not want to let Chloe die and would never have asked for the photograph on her own and is only holding it because Chloe forced it into her hand.

And if you look at Max's actions throughout the game... you see someone who doesn't just blindly do what she's told. She acts for herself. So... yeah. Chloe's not going to just convince Max to let her die, especially at the end when Chloe says "I'll support whatever choice you take."

Chloe herself is not offering her life for Arcadia Bay. Yeah, she loves her mom. She cares for her mom (much as any abused child does - abuse will twist you up inside and make you believe that you're a horrible person for causing discord even as you also see this situation as wrong and know you're not to blame for all of it) but she is tossing Joyce, David, and the others out for Max. Because she sees Max is tearing herself up in blaming her actions for causing the Storm. In short... Sacrifice Chloe is Chloe's attempt at keeping Max from feeling guilt over all those deaths, despite the fact that Max would feel far worse for deliberately letting Chloe die.

So... yeah. Max on her own would not offer to sacrifice Chloe. She would not choose that option if the player didn't force her hand.

2024 F1 Livery Ranking and Design Analysis

My ranking(from worst to best) and analysis of the liveries of our 2024 grid! All of the cars we will see on the track have been revealed and I have thoughts.

Liveries in 2024 have been a very mixed bag, there are some improvements, some standouts, and some massive misses. Let's get into it!

10. Alpine

Alpine is, to put it simply, a disaster. Not only is the car mostly exposed carbon fiber, the color that is there is chaotic and not cohesive at all. It's trying to do way too much with too little space. The pink stripes they were going for might have worked if that motif extended to more of the car, but since they are just snippets it only adds to the discordant appearance of the car.

The color at is on the car isn't cohesive, there isn't really a flow to it at all. It's like they just threw color on where they could and gave up.

Obviously the biggest downfall of this year's alpine is the lack of color and the excess of carbon fiber. It doesn't stand out, and the color they did have isn't used in a creative or appealing way.

The one positive I have to say is that I do like the shade of pink they chose as the most dominant pink on the car, it's nice, if there had just been more of it we might have been going somewhere with this design.

I am trying my hardest to ignore the fact that they also lied to us in the teasers for this car. I am ranking based on what we were actually given, and what we were given is extremely lacking in color and design quality.

This livery is trying to do way too much with so little space for actual paint and the result is a very messy appearance that is left looking unfinished.

9. Haas

Haas suffers from a lot of the same issues as Alpine, namely the excess of carbon fiber. However they actually managed to work with what they were given and made a car that isn't so bad to look at, even if it is far from fully painted.

The large logo on the side pod is cool looking and creates forward visual movement. The red/white/black color scheme works with the pops of color nicely distributed. One of the saving graces is the color on the halo. The white and red accents are nice, and you could be tricked into thinking they meant for the car to be all black and the bare carbon wasn't just a weight saving tactic.

The top down view is actually really interesting, it looks like a stingray or something from above, unfortunate we don't get to see it from the angle that much. But this does highlight that there is an overall cohesion to the design. The stripes, the distribution of the red, and the angular logo create pleasing visual momentum across the car. The line-work carries the eye across the design, which helps it feel complete as opposed to unfinished chaos.

My favorite part is the white halo, it actually looks really interesting against the black of the car, almost like a skull. Don't think I've seen that before on an F1 car and I have to say, I like it.

This at least distributed the few colors they had across the car in a way that created a cohesive looking car, even if it is quite bare. I look at this and it isn't just visual chaos. Someone put thought into how they were going to use the limited space, and the results are as good as I could ask.

8. Aston Martin

Aston Martin is another victim to carbon fiber. At first glance you get excited to see color, but the way they incorporated the carbon fiber is very noticeable and it detracts a lot.

The colors on this car are great, a nice rich cool green with the lime stripe, no complaints there.

But the issue I have with this car is the way the paint meets the carbon fiber. It is such a jarring transition that it makes the car look like it's slowly drowning in carbon fiber. It's too distracting from the color that is present. It's clunky to the point of being lazy. Just saying "eh we'll paint the top of the car and hope for the best"

The biggest design flaw here is the fact the dark green does not go all the way down to meet the lime line. That lime line should be the division between the paint and the carbon fiber, it's a natural break in the design, but that's not what happened and it looks breaks the flow of the design.

I have very mixed feelings on this one, because I like the color, this livery gets an A+ for actually having some nice color on the car. Unfortunately this is weighed down by the clunky incorporation of the carbon fiber.

There are better ways to get away with bare carbon fiber and still have a nicely flowing design on the car, and Aston Martin stumbled in that department.

7. Stake/Kick/Sauber

I know I didn't think I'd be ranking this above the Aston Martin but here we are. I'll admit I am not the biggest fan of this neon green. However, I have to say that the actual design elements that Stake did are pretty good.

I admit that I have a hard time not thinking this looks like a Minecraft creeper car. The green is different and it is unique, I don't think we've seen a neon green F1 car like this.

This one isn't so much about the exact color but about how it's used. Keeping the green concentrated on the middle and then having the zigzag line swoop under the side-pod carries the color across the car. The only color being this neon green is also a very wise choice, any other color would clash with this bright neon green, so keeping the palette simple green/black/white is essential for this to work at all.

Furthermore this design is actually about as good as it can be with this green. Even if it were possible to be a completely painted car, having the entire thing be bright green would be worse. The line-work highlighting the edges of the car give the illusion of a neon sign, which is exactly what you want to do with a loud color like this, lean into it the natural way, and that's exactly what Stake did.

The green on the front wing is probably my favorite part, it just pops, and looks really cool from the front angle.

A major missed opportunity is the halo really should be neon green, but instead they painted the seat green. That isn't as visible, the halo highlighted in this neon green would be awesome, and I am not sure why they didn't do that.

Now the line work is pretty good, HOWEVER, that zigzag is a bit of a problem. Yes I know i said it creates movement, and it does, but that doesn't mean it's without issues. That line crates harsh 90 degree angles in places on the car where those angles don't exist. It's working against the natural flow of the body of the car not with it. This interrupts the overall look of the car and breaks up and otherwise easy to follow motif of the green lines highlighting the edges of the car.

What set them above Aston for me is the way they had the green spread across the car, with the lines creating flow. Yes there is exposed carbon fiber, but it isn't as glaring because of the color placement and lines. The Aston design almost draws attention to the excess carbon fiber, while this one distracts from it.

All this being said, that doesn't mean this car is the easiest thing to look at. They did the best with what they were given, but this isn't a car that makes me want to look at it for very long.

6. Williams

Williams is fine. It's not amazing, it's not committing any sins either.

There is more paint on this car than I was expecting and that is a welcome surprise.

This is a good simplification of last year's livery. Only two blues, and minimal line work. It's clean and simple. I like the royal blue they used, that is really pretty, especially on the nose. The navy though is way too dark. In a season with a lot of dark/black cars why would you go with a blue that is so dark on the car? Red Bull does navy too, but it's clear that's what it is. I think this might be a tactic to try to hide where the carbon fiber begins, but it kind of backfired.

Of course they kept the clever and iconic Duracell sponsor placement, I love this little detail because it's just such a fun way to include an advertisement on a car. That and the copper color does work beautifully with William's blue.

I like the criss-cross that the color divide creates mid car, that could have been jarring, but it isn't and it actually brings that little bit of added visual interest.

The gradient at the back to nearly black is the biggest problem with the coloring for me. That navy really needed to be different for this car to stand out.

From the front this car does look great, beautiful blue, fully painted. There are some missteps but they aren't awful. This livery is playing it safe, but it's overall pretty good.

5. Racing Bulls(VCARB)

Probably my most controversial placement. But hear me out, while at first glance this livery is good, it made one massive color design error that I cannot overlook.

That would be the color of blue they chose as the main blue for the car. Does it look familiar? Well I disliked this as soon as I saw it and there is a reason why.

This VCARB blue is almost identical to the infamous "blue screen of death" This is a blue that has been shown to be upsetting to people because of the negative association. Artists and designers stay away from it because it is jarring and people will dislike it on sight. Never use blue screen of death blue, at least not as the main color, because it's impossible to ignore.

I color sampled so you can see just how close they are. The VCARB blue is only slightly more muted, and it's not enough to save it. If you were wondering why you didn't like this blue, this is probably the reason.

There is a reason you never see this specific blue used in such large amounts.

I might have put this livery in the top 3, but this is a very basic misstep color wise that brands should know.

The other nitpick I have is that the stripes somehow don't create flow. Because they start and stop they create more of a static checkerboard effect when viewed from the front that I am not in love with. I don't think it's terrible though, more of a preference thing. The stripes on the side profile do work nicely, if only that sleekness carried when the car was seen from other angles.

Some highlights about the car: it is bright and fully painted, and the color additions of the red and white are nicely distributed and feel natural. This car does have a fully cohesive design. The white bull on the engine intake is the best part. It stands out beautifully and compliments the directionality of the VISA logo on the side pod.

I also love the color on the halo, the blue and the red really make it pop and that is another standout feature to me. Might be the best halo coloring on the grid if I'm being fair, I really love the use of the two colors on it.

Overall the layout of the car is great, the fact that it's fully painted is fantastic, if it were a different blue this would be an amazing livery.

4. Mclaren

Mclaren are going for a clear theme this year and it could have been a disaster, but I think it works!

This is the car that incorporates black into the livery color scheme better than any others so far (second only to Mercedes)

Orange is a tricky color to work with. Since they are going with full bright papaya having the black to contrast is the best way to lean heavily into this orange. Of course some of it is carbon fiber, but because the black is worked into the look, and the brightness of the orange is so prominent, it's the least noticeable.

Color on the halo! I do love when the bright colors are on the halo and they went there, which is a nice detail. They also did a similar look to Sauber with the coloring on the front wing, but that ribbing effect looks even better with the orange.

The large black diagonal stripe is actually great. It's angled enough to create that visual momentum we like to see on these cars, and it's not so big that it detracts from the color.

Another reason the black works here is because it helps the sponsors stand out, those would get completely lost if the entire car was that papaya. So this really is the best way to get as much orange, create contrast, while also allowing those sponsors to be clearly visible.

Two details that are great would be the little Mclaren logo on the very tip of the nose, and the orange kiwi on the rear wing. Both nice touches for the brand.

This car does look a little more lacking on color when viewed completely from the side, but that front profile and top and 3/4 profile are bright and they pop.

There are some black spaces that are clunky around the top of the sidepods, part of the halo and a few other small areas where it's clear they couldn't paint more. Just those little areas where it feels like they got 90% of the way done painting it then just stopped are what took this one out of the top 3 for me

3. Red Bull

I really am a little annoyed at having to put Red Bull here because I think if the Mclaren or the Aston had more/better color distribution they would have beat it. However this is a classic and there are some things to discuss.

Yes this livery has been the same for years, but let's get into the details.

It's sleek, painted, the color is clear and nicely distributed. This design hasn't changed much at all but there are some differences from last year.

First the sponsor placements are better, fit more naturally with the changes to the sidepods.

This is also probably the car that does look best with the matte paint, the navy is dark without making it look like it's black, or god forbid carbon fiber.

The reason this livery is so pleasing is the the two rich primaries of the golden yellow and red contrast with the deep navy. It keeps the color palette simple, allows for some very beautiful contrast, and keeps the livery colorful even though the main color is quite dark. The bright yellow nose reflects the yellow on the engine cover, and all of the red details create great pops of color.

The red and the yellow for this year's car are brighter, which is a welcome change, the brightening of the yellow is the most noticeable and the biggest improvement. Really helps bring the car to life.

The only real problem I have with this livery isn't so much the livery as much as the way it fits on the new car. The red bull on the engine cover is a classic part of the design. However since the engine cover and intake was redesigned for this new car, it's lower, so the bull is a little cut off and squished, you can't see all of the bull's legs or part of its face anymore. So in keeping with the same design they have sacrificed a little bit of clarity. This would have been solved by shrinking the size of the bull by a small margin, or moving the bull forward a little. Since it's the main brand I would have expected them to be a little more careful with how it's displayed on the car.

Side by side you can see how the changes to the engine cover drastically altered the way the bull is able to be displayed, and this is a downgrade, especially since that bull is such an important part of the car.

There is carbon fiber on this car. But it is very minimal and discrete. Red Bull does also have the advantage of being able to better hide carbon fiber because they go with such a dark body color to begin with, the places where it goes from paint to bare fiber aren't as noticeable.

If other liveries didn't have so many issues(especially with being fully painted) this would be lower. Unfortunately not this year.

Overall this is a good livery, why change what's working? The colors are brighter, and it's simple.

Okay, from here onward I don't really have any serious issues with the liveries, these are just beautiful and it comes down to small details and some personal preferences.

2. Mercedes

I didn't think I was going to love this year's Mercedes livery as much as I do, but here we are.

This is a gorgeous car, maybe one of my favorites from Mercedes. Silver is a tricky color to work with and sometimes they go too far with it, but this is closer to perfect.

First the nose design is gorgeous, the silver framed by the teal is just stunning. It serves to highlight the body of the car, brings back the "silver arrow"

And then we have the gradient from silver to black on the car. But the black isn't just blank it has the Mercedes logo artistically arranged there, it almost looks like stars. That is so clever and actually makes amazing use of black coloring.

The unbroken teal stripe framing the silver and tapering down the side pod is sleek, it carries the color across the body of the car, that is how you do it. Simple, elegant.

Then we get to that deep cherry red. There is just enough of it in little pops on the rest of the car to work with the main red on the air intake.

These four colors are balanced so nicely against each other, the pops of red, with the teal to frame everything set against the main black and silver of the body.

This car also stands out to me as one that looks different, but amazing from varying angles. The side profile is very different than the front, but in a way that makes you go "ooohhhh that's so cool".

This design probably has my favorite driver number placement and design for the nose of the car. It just fits so perfectly, like I cannot find fault with it.

It's sleek, it's got color, it's brought us back to that Mercedes silver. I think this is a worthy livery for Lewis' last year at Mercedes.

1 . Ferrari

Yes this is a Ferrari blog. Yes I am putting Ferrari at number one. Sue me. But I wouldn't put Ferrari here unless it earned it. This could have been awful, and if it was I would say so. I have my critic's integrity to uphold after all.

To put it simply - she is beautiful.

Ferrari delivered a gorgeous red car that incorporates so many details that celebrate the brand, they added richness to the color, reduced the amount of carbon fiber, and made a car that you WANT to look at.

There is a lot to love here, I want to start with the red. This shade of red is very different than last year, it's warmer, richer, deeper. And it makes the car feel more luxurious. It's a red worthy of the name Ferrari.

The difference is really noticeable. They deepened it to this gorgeous cherry red.

This red on it's own would be amazing, but the deep color allows for incredible contrast with the yellow and white lines. A brighter red would clash and not contrast well, but this red does it perfectly. It's also a warm red, so when placed along side the golden yellow that warmth is magnified and the whole color palette becomes cohesive.

Enough about the red let's talk about the stripes. Yellow and white, two classic Ferrari colors. Especially the yellow, that is Ferrari and it's nice to see it highlighted a little more on a car that is always classically red. The white adds more pop and highlight to it.

The of course the lines themselves are placed to give a beautiful visual flow across the body of the car. The lines create this pleasing movement for the eye, that wouldn't be there if the car was just one solid color.

And this is how you know the lines are placed well, because they create that movement when the car is viewed from the side AND from above.

And this brings me to one of my favorite details. The stripes on the rear-wing! It's just such a nice touch to continue the yellow and white line motif and add color to every part of the car. It frames the rear wing beautifully.

And the Ferrari name over that red with the stripes to cap it off, perfection.

Another detail I LOVE is the Italy tricolor on the front of the nose. The tricolor has been on the car before, but it's usually on the side, this one being a little bigger and front and center brings that Italian pride that is an integral part of Ferrari.

Another great front wing detail is the way the red from the body flows seamlessly into that flap is so satisfying. It really makes this look like one whole car that is all red and that is important for a Ferrari.

The carbon fiber on the design is hidden expertly, in the bathtub dips, which follows the natural curves of the car, and is an angle rarely seen. All of the carbon fiber is exposed at points on the car that cast natural shadow, so it would be darker there anyway. It makes the fact that it isn't painted far less noticeable, and thus it doesn't take away from the design by drawing the eye(unlike Aston Martin's approach)

The main reason I put her above the Mercedes is the bright color. This is a car that stands out on the track(Ferrari always does, and 2024 is no different) Also its line work is a little bit better, more three dimensional and it carries it's motif across more of the car.

It's red, it's sleek, it's rich, it's beautifully painted, it is Ferrari.

So those are all my thoughts and my ranking. Disagree? Feel free to let me know your favorite. I think there are details and colors to love on all of these cars.

I cannot wait to see them on the track in Bahrain!

This idea seems unlikely since KDJ would have to connect like three puzzle pieces consecutively and accept that something that didn't happen in the novel could theoretically happen without actually seeing it play out, it seems more likely KDJ would see KNW staring at a blank screen for hours and assume he's just copying him.

But say in the 6th scenario he's musing how Peaceland was a manga that got turned into reality in TWSA and now TWSA was become his reality and there's layers, or when he's in the car on the way to claim his new dukedom with a plan to manipulate his master using a message through the Wall of Impossible Communication and suddenly the idea of Peaceland and the fact Transmigrators exist are both in his head and either way he connects Kim Namwoon's new constant phone use to his own reading of TWSA as well as layered fiction becoming reality and transmigration and suddenly Kim 'Control C the Entire 999th Round for My Self Insert Fanfic' Dokja is now very aware of an already rogue element being not just irregular but with a tier greater when it comes to information.

Meanwhile Kim Namwoon is trying to glean what he can from the wiki and Discord while contracting Forty Thousand Year Old Crush disease

HI THERE IT’S BEEN SEVEN MONTHS BUT I’M HERE.

You’re right! It’s pretty unlikely! I wouldn’t say it’s impossible, because who knows what’s possible? But to be found out, Kim Namwoon would need to be actively scheming - he’d need to be DOING SHIT, and he’d have to be making obvious changes other than the ones that ensure his survival. The stupid comments and the phone staring he keeps doing is suspicious, but probably not suspicious ENOUGH.

There are simply too many pieces for Kim Dokja to put together. I think he might get a gist that KNW knows more than he should, depending on what happens, but I think the closest conclusion that he could possibly reach from that is that KNW has read Ways of Survival.

So here’s something that I haven’t disclosed: Kim Dokja can… kind of read Kim Namwoon’s Attribute Window.

Well, from his point of view, Kim Namwoon’s Attribute Window shows up perfectly. It’s just that, unbeknownst to him, it’s full of lies. Kim Namwoon’s Attribute Window, to everyone but Kim Namwoon himself, does not reflect the status of Kim Namwoon. It instead reflects what he thinks that Kim Namwoon, the character, would have.

This is the same skill that hides his phone screen, if you were wondering. I might call it Canon Compliance, maybe.

So. Kim Dokja, if Kim Namwoon is being especially suspicious, would probably initially think that KNW has some kind of precognitive ability or some kind of sponsor feeding him information, and then, when KNW’s attribute window reflects nothing of the sort, get incredibly confused.

The whole apostle business probably gives him the hint that KNW might have had a ‘’??th to get off” Attribute that had gotten removed very early on, since we do have an example of that happening with one of the prophets. The idea of a real person becoming fictional is quite firmly implanted in his brain, especially, yes, with the Peaceland arc happening. This could put him on the trail of “did KNW used to be a real person”, which is… sort of accurate. Certainly accurate enough for him to find hints that support it.

And he would interrogate KNW based on that.

KNW might, quite possibly, just agree with KDJ’s conclusion, because it nicely explains everything he’s doing without actually being true, and KDJ would be… not satisfied, exactly, because this conclusion has some very weird implications. Incredibly weird implications. If Kim Namwoon used to be a real person, was there once a version of WOS that existed without Kim Namwoon? How did KNW become fictional to begin with? If there was never a version of WOS that existed without KNW, then was KNW somehow fated to become fictional? Stuff like this, you know.

But! It is likely if anything weird about Kim Namwoon comes up, he would use the above as an explanation. You know, until Kim Namwoon does something that blatantly contradicts what Kim Dokja’s conclusion, which is really just as simple as exhibiting knowledge beyond what he should have as a prophet whose knowledge of the story has caught up to him, or using a skill that’s not listed in his Attribute Window. Again: HIS ATTRIBUTE WINDOW IS FULL OF LIES.

So like… maybe like this?

At first glance, the branch in his hand is utterly and completely normal. Sure, maybe the bark is a bit pale and the leaves are a bit dark, but that’s it. It’s nothing that would warrant another look. Of course, upon taking another look, there are multiple things wrong with it. There’s no color to it, for one, everything a gray monotone, and it’s strangely empty of detail. Most obviously, the leaves are less leaves than they are a mess of cross hatches, each stroke of graphite perfectly distinguishable if you pay even a little bit of attention. It’s as if God had roughly scratched this branch into existence instead of letting it grow naturally from tree. Which is exactly what Kim Namwoon had just done. “If you gave me a few minutes, I could do something better,” Kim Namwoon gripes, staring resentfully at it. He’s agitatedly tapping a pencil stub against a slightly scuffed up notebook. “Shitty fucking shading job, but for a demonstration, I guess it’s --” “It’s good,” Kim Dokja says. Kim Namwoon stops tapping his pencil. “It is? I mean--” his voice takes on a pleased tone course it is. It’s not real or anything, but it’s still super cool, isn’t it?” The branch has no weight, no heft. It casts no proper shadow on the ground. As a sketch, it would be a good representation, but hardly photorealistic. As a piece of reality that Kim Namwoon had just casually pulled from paper, it’s… slightly unsettling. “If I had some paints, it’d look more impressive. Maybe if I had a tablet? I don’t know if it’ll work with a tablet, though, maybe it needs to be traditional media specifically. It works with blood, though, I tried that already -- ” Kim Dokja remembers this skill. Some one-off character had had it in the 35th regression, using it to make illusions. He doesn’t remember Kim Namwoon having this skill. It might not be nearly as combat effective as Blackening, but it’s still notable enough to be at least mentioned. He’s come to terms with Kim Namwoon having an art hobby, but is that hobby really enough to develop into this​? [The exclusive skill, Character List is activated.] [Name: Kim Namwoon. Age: 19. He almost finished a red rose before the cut stopped bleeding. Yes, the thought occurred to him that he could give it to Lee Jihye. No, he did not plan on actually doing so. Yes, he ended up doing it anyway when Lee Jihye jumpscared him and he threw it at her face.

What WAS Changed from Leonard's Hunger to Leonard's Regret - Drakengard Analysis

//Hey anon! I assume you're talking about the game, right? Because I actually DID translate the full script from the World Inside 10th Anni box for the Leonard's Regret/Hunger chapter a while back (It was the only translated part of an unfinished project to do the WHOLE script that likely won't be finished), but that has in-game comparisons between the NTSC-J and NTSC versions as well! I'll link it here if you're interested. Note: This covers only the EVENTS in the game, and not actual in-game dialogue, as I haven't translated that. Sorry! For ease of access, I'll also provide a hopefully adequate summary below the cut detailing the differences between the original script (Later edited into what would be the NTSC-J version of the game), the Japanese version of the game, and the English localisation! Believe it or not, there was actually more cut content between the script and the Japanese version of the game than the Japanese and the English (Which certainly does have it's blunders, but nowhere near as steep.) And of course, if you have any other questions about this, feel free to reach out to my Discord at barnabism or just send another ask! :) Here's the info, strap in for a LONG post ahead:

So to start with the first scene in Leonard's Hunger, there's a couple points of interest right off the bat, actually!

Pointing Out Leonard's Survival

While it was toned down in the Japanese and toned down even further in English, when the Faerie points out the conscripts in the script it was actually an intended jab towards Leonard's absence "Hiding under the trees" which led to his unintentional survival!

(NTSC) "Hark you, hark! Look in the shadows of the trees. The ones hiding away are probably fine." "......" (NTSC-J) "Hey, hey, look carefully through the shadows of the trees. The ones who hide beneath them might be alive and well! Ahahaha!" "...Kgh!" (SCRIPT) "Hey, hey! Look carefully through the shadows of the trees. The one who does that might survive alive and well! Ahahaha!" "...Kgh!"

I wouldn't chalk this up to "censorship", however (At least not in the case of the English), it honestly kinda reads like a bad game of Telephone which is something you'll see a LOT with the English translation. Where the Japanese seemed deliberately toned down to give more "Insinuations" at best or just to outright write around it at worst, the English seems like its trying its best to pick up on that nuance without... Actually knowing where it's coming from? Without that base point of reference (The script), it seems like there was a lot of grappling around in the dark for those poor English localisers to do. :( *That said, there are some instances where things are explicitly written in Japanese but unable to be fluently translated, like Furiae's confession scene, or sometimes... They ARE just outright changed, like the infamous "You smell very nice" line from Ending D. The Drakengard fanbase DOES commonly assume that the latter is the case all-around, but there's a lot more to it than that! Moving on, here's an example of something that was VERY intentionally taken out from the NTSC-J release to the NTSC release.

"Something Else" - Deleted Snippets From Changed Lines

(NTSC) "Oh, it smells fishy. What will you do? Doesn’t it feel dangerous? Are you shaking? Over here! Here! Here!" (NTSC-J) "It smells fishy. What will you do? Can’t you sense it? Isn’t it dangerous? Hahah! Oh? Are you trembling because you’re scared? Or is it something else…? Ahahahahaha! Here! Here! Look here!" (SCRIPT) Faerie (Maliciously): "You can’t see them, but you can smell them, can’t you? Can’t you? That lively scent is your favouriiite~! Right? A large army of smooth, pallid, soft legs is here!"

So as you can see here, the bit from the Japanese - "Oh? Are you trembling because you're scared? Or is it something else...?" was taken out in the English release, but this original Japanese line that appears in the game is COMPLETELY different from what was written in the script!

And if that edited line in the NTSC-J edition of DOD wasn't clear enough as to what the Faerie was hinting at, here's something that's DEFINITELY more explicit. But unlike the English completely removing it over concerns to content, here it seems toned down as a result of differences in writing systems.

"Inexperience" - Pay Attention to the NTSC-J Line

(NTSC) "Right, right! Young soldiers right out of training, gutted like fish!" (NTSC-J) "Right right, ahaha! Still just sweet little things, lacking and inexperienced!" (SCRIPT) "Right, right, ahaha! Boys, boys, beautiful boys! How appetising~!"

Putting aside the Script's description of the young conscripts as "Beautiful" and "Appetising" (Hard, I know lmao), the edited NTSC-J version VERY cleverly used Katakana to it's advantage to make a point that... Honestly, if you ask me, is even more direct than the Script counterpart. Here's a look at what I'm talking about:

(NTSC-J Original) 「そっ、そっ、ウキャキャ! まだまだケツの青い甘チャンばかりだぜ! 」

I've bolded and coloured the Katakana referenced here with the whole article bolded itself, "Ketsu no Aoi", which as a whole can mean "Inexperienced" or "Lacking in x" (Skill, in this case). The interesting thing here is the use of Katakana on "ケツ" here, which, typically when written like that, is used to refer to someone's bottom. So it CAN be taken as "young and inexperienced" or quite literally, "Their ass is inexperienced" which... *Cough* Yeah. This, of course, is a VERY particular use of Katakana, so I honestly can't blame the English localisers just going "Fuck it" and making it their own.

Scrapped Ideas

An added note before we go onto the next scene, which I believe isn't EXACTLY what you're looking for but something I thought you or anyone else reading this would be interested in. There's also something interesting to mention about the "Garrison" that was brought up here ("If the garrison is here, then the prisoners should be, too."), and that's three things:

This WAS originally going to be a type of "Side-quest" where you go save your Union allies from the garrison and defeating the "Monsters" (I believe subhumans) guarding them, and THEN the conscripts begin to attack you in desperation. Unfortunately, it looks like this sidequest was scrapped, though I question what circumstances led to such a specific line pertaining to the quest still remaining.

At one point, it actually WAS thought that items could be used and included - Particularly "Crystals" and "Smokebombs", though looking back, I wonder if these "Crystals" mentioned here were later saved for the crystals you use to find your path in Drakengard 2....

Remember that one conscript that summoned a ghost at the end of the chapter? All conscripts were originally planned to do that. For better or for worse, it didn't go through.

Necrophilia Jokes

As the title suggests, when you mentioned the faerie explicitly goading him on to do it with the dying/dead conscripts, there actually IS something like that not in the NTSC and certainly not the NTSC-J games, but in the script! You'll find a pretty clear example in the very first line!

(NTSC) "Hey, hey! What’ll you do about the bodies? Stab them again?" (NTSC-J) "Hey, hey! What will you do with the bodies? Hahah! Is your torment growing?" (SCRIPT) "Hey, hey! Are you even lusting after corpses? Ahahah! Aren’t you pent up!"

Which of course is it's own can of worms, but shines MUCH more brightly paired with the Faerie's next line, after Leonard states his commitment to give the fallen conscripts a proper bruial:

(NTSC) "You have time for such luxuries? Well, do you? Do you? Do you?" (NTSC-J) "Hahahah! Is this the time for such a deliberate process? Hey, are you listening to me-? Hey, hey!" (SCRIPT) "Ahahaha! This isn’t the time to be toying with corpses. Hey, are you listening to me-? Hey, hey!"

Of course, the Faerie teasing Leonard about necrophilia can and WILL go even worse into the active goading of "Do it, buddy, I dare you" it will give later on, but I want to intercept that with something the Conscript here does in the scripts that really caught my attention - The Conscript, under the influence of Red-Eye, using the weakness of his inclinations to their own advantage.

The Conscripts "Manipulation"

I'm not gonna lie, when I first detail it really brought me back to this fucked up little fanfiction I saw on Pixiv where this conscript ends up seducing and subsequently disemboweling poor Leonard. As you might be able to tell by my mentioning, it's kinda stuck with me. Pixiv is a fascinating place.

(NTSC) "I’m afraid." (NTSC-J) "I’m… I’m afraid…" (SCRIPT) CONSCRIPT (Alluringly): I’m… I’m afraid…

Through the script, there are different dialogue tags to denote the tone in which that particular line is spoken. While this tidbit in itself isn't much, I figured it very worth mentioning just for its role in the general topic of "More controversial things that were snipped out of either the NTSC-J or NTSC versions of Leonard's Regret/Hunger", not to mention the implications it has on the wider nature of Red Eye Disease as a whole! Think about it - Taking into consideration that the script implies the Conscript "Knew" about his inclinations enough to use them to his advantage, Leonard mentioning that this conscript share's his brother's voice is a detail that definitely catches my attention now. I wonder if it was just tragic coincidence, Leonard being unable to judge correctly in his grief, or perhaps RED allowing the conscript to mimic his brothers? Which is an actually TERRIFYING thought, but hey, I absolutely adore it. There is a plethora of writing material and silly thoughts to have from that alone, which, as an RPer, is probably among the best things I can have. XD

The Faerie's Goading

Back to the faerie, there's a final detail in its teasing for this scene:

(NTSC) "Oh? Oh-oh-oh-oh? Feeling pity? For the enemy? Can’t start wavering now!" (NTSC-J) "Oh? Oh-hoh-hoh-hoh-hoh? Are you just happening to feel sympathy right now? For the enemy? Now’s no time to tremble. Hey!" (SCRIPT) "Oh? Oh-hoh-hoh-hoh-hoh? Are you getting ideas already? For the enemy? I wonder if you’ll go all the way? Just as I thought! Ahah!"

As is the recurring theme here, the script is MUCH more explicit than either, where the NTSC opts for snipping out a couple more details, which in this case is the line "Now's no time to tremble". There's nothing special I have to say about this outside of jesus fuck, of course so we'll wrap it up with the final event scene in Leonard's Regret/Hunger real quick!

Another Note

Just to add, Beholders and Gargoyles were among some of the enemies planned to be put into this level, along with... Treants! It's a popular bit of folklore across Germany, particularly in regard to the Black Forest (Though it came from France) that scared the crap out of me as a kid, so I was pleased to see them here and VERY upset they didn't make the final cut :(

The Final Scene - Leonard's Botched Confession

GOD, from the first time I saw this scene, I was so disappointed. All that tension, all those hints and build-up for Leonard to finally break and be asked "What's going on here? Why are you acting like this?" You'd think you'd get something better than "It's a secret." You just know that this was a scene that got rewritten last second, and it turns out that in the NTSC-J version, it's the same exact case - but in the script? We finally get to see what was intended to be put there (And my years long grudge against that scene was finally, kinda, put to rest.)

So, when Leonard falls to his knees and asks for forgiveness, and Angelus asks (Or perhaps Caim) asks "Why this wasted pity?", the faerie responds for him (Which, keep in mind, Leonard responds to this by immediately begging for Caim to kill him right then and there):

(NTSC) "He won’t say! He’ll never say the truth! It’s a SECRET!" (NTSC-J) "He won’t say! Haha! He’ll never talk about that. It’s! A! Secret! Heehee. Ahahahaha!" (SCRIPT) "He won't say! Haha! That boy was too cute for him to say. He wanted to hold him, among other such things. Heehee. Ahahahaha!"

To add to the bit "He wanted to hold him", the exact word used is "抱きたい", and while it DOES typically mean "To hold, to embrace" among other things in certain ~contexts~ (Like Furiae's confession scene, where the same word is used) it can also mean "To have sex with". The rest of the scene actually doesn't have next to anything changed outside of a tiny added "...You can't." when the Faerie addresses his wish for death that got trimmed from the script, though I will add for context an interesting thing in the same quote a detail added that wasn't originally in the script, similar to a couple other things we've seen so far, is a distinction that can only be seen in Japanese:

(NTSC) "Huh? What did you say? Helloo! You couldn’t die, could you? Just gave yourself a little nick. So sad. Didn’t you make a promise to live with me, big brother? I can’t survive alone anymore, you know. A pact. We made a pact. Don’t forget." (NTSC-J) "Haah-? What are you saying? Helloo? You couldn’t die then, could you? Just gave yourself a small little scar! …You can’t. Didn’t you make a promise to live with me, big brother? I can’t live alone by myself anymore, you know. The pact, the pact! Ahahaha! Take care to remember!" (SCRIPT) "Haah-? What are you saying? Helloo? You couldn’t die then, could you? Just gave yourself a small little scar! …You can’t. Didn’t you make a promise to live with me, big brother? I can’t live alone by myself anymore, you know. The pact, the pact! Ahahaha! Take care to remember!"

It's actually indistinguishable in either translation, so I'll highlight the Japanese text here:

(NTSC-J Original) 「はあ?　何言ってんのお?　もしもーし?　アナタ死ねなかったんですよねー?　ためらい傷バリバリ!　……やだなぁ。俺といっしょに生きてくれるって約束したじゃないですか、お兄さん。俺、もうひとりじゃ生きられない身体なんですよ。契約ね、契約。フヒャヒャヒャ。 おねがいしマッス。」 (SCRIPT Original) 「はあ?　何言ってんのお?　もしもし?　アナタ死ねなかったんですよねー?　ためらいバリバリ!　……やだなぁ。俺といっしょに生きてくれるって約束したじゃないですか、お兄さん。俺、もうひとりじゃ生きられない身体なんですよ。契約ね、契約。フヒャヒャヒャ。 おねがいしマッス。」

Again, it'll be hard to find a difference through all that, but you'll see the game actually added a term to the script's "ためらいバリバリ" - "A hesitant nick", with "ためらい" meaning hesitant and "バリバリ" standing for a small little cut or scar! Together it really is it's own term meaning "A shallow (hesitant) scar" The game, however, added a character - 傷 - which on the surface, doesn't seem to add much, as by itself the character quite literally just means "Wound". HOWEVER, put together with ためらい this creates a very specific term, ためらい傷 (Tameraikizu) which quick literally means "Hesitation wound", and stands as an exact term for the wounds left over when someone who attempts suicide fails and is left with lasting (Usually permanent) scars because of it. And recalling Leonard's failed attempt to slit his throat in his introductory scene... You know, I honestly wondered how permanent that scar was. Either way, I hope this post has the answers you're looking for! Pairing: Levi x Fem!Reader

Genre and tags: Uni AU, romance, first kiss, becoming a couple, modern AU, fluff, Fem!Hange, crushes.

Concept: Hange invites you to her Christmas party to come to have some fun and tells you to wear something pretty. You turn up and have a few drinks and notice Levi is there. You try and avoid him because he makes you nervous due to your crush and you are sure he doesn't like you. You bump into each other under the mistletoe and explain what it means, which leads to Levi kissing you and explaining what's in his heart.

Note: Due to being from the UK, I am basing this off UK Uni life as the only thing I know about American Uni life is from movies and I don't want to get things wrong!

You hugged yourself as you slowly walked to the student flats that Hange lived in. You knew she'd taken over the whole hall for a party and she desperately wanted you to come. You weren't sure about it, but in the end you said yes because seeing Hange happy was nice.

You texted Hange you were waiting outside the flat's entrance. You looked at the staircase to see her slam out of the door on the middle floor before running down to you. She opened the outside door and smiled happily as she took you in.

You hurried out of the cold and smiled. "Hey."

Hange hugged you tightly. "Good to see you! I'm so glad you came!

You smiled softly. "Thanks, it's cold out there."

She walked with you up to the flat door. "Did you wear something hot?"

"Hot as in sexy or hot as in keep me warm?"

"Sexy."

You blushed a little. "I wore something nice."

She unlocked the door and let you into the hall. You looked up and down to see people hanging in the hall, room doors were open and the girls living in the hall were moving in and out of their rooms. You smiled at the music not being too loud, but nice enough for people to dance to if they wanted.

Hange led you to her room. "Just put your coat in here. It'll be safe here."

You looked around her room. "Wow, it's so clean."

"Levi cleaned it before you came over."

You blushed hard. "Levi is here?"

She nodded and nudged you with her elbow. "He sure is. Maybe you should ask him for a dance, huh?"

You shook your head. "N-No, I'm good."

"Are you going to get a drink?"

You smiled a little. "Yeah."

She gave you a hug. "You can hide in here if you want a break from socialising."

"Thanks." You pulled your coat off and blushed when Hange squealed in delight. "What?"

She held your hands. "So cute! You look beautiful."

"Thank you." You placed your coat on her bed. "I'll get that drink then."

Hange walked with you. "What are your winter plans? You going home to your family?"

You hummed in thought not knowing Levi was close and listening. "I'm staying here in my halls for a bit longer, then I'll go home."

"Oh cool! We can hang out for a bit and play some video games."

"Sounds fun." You grabbed a drink and smiled as Hange talked about some games you could play. "I'm looking forward to it."

"Me too!" She gasped. "Oh! Moblit is here. I'll go chat with him. Mingle."

You nodded and moved around to chat with those you knew before you walked out of the kitchen and into the hall. You noticed Levi staring at you making you blush and flinch. You looked around and tried to avoid eye contact. You moved down the hall a bit and tried chatting with someone.

You moved again and kept your distance. You had a crush on Levi, but sometimes you got the feeling he didn't like you. He would stare at you for ages, almost glaring. You thought you offended him or something. So, you tried to stay away.

You glanced at Levi and blushed a little at him in a tight white shirt, leather jacket with messy black hair, and tight jeans with rips. You blushed harder at his biker boots thudding as he moved towards you. You turned and moved to Hange's room and hurried inside.

You grabbed your phone from your coat to see you'd only been at the party for an hour. You grabbed your coat and hurried out Hange's room door and slammed into a big chest. You squeaked as you fell back but strong arms wrapped around you just in time.

You gasped and gazed at the person who saved you to see it was Levi. You blushed hard as you stared at him. "Th-thanks."

Levi stood you up. "Tch, you all right?"

You nodded. "Yeah, th-thanks."

"Why are you in a hurry?"

You nibbled your lip. "This is not my thing really. I mean, I do like to party but I have to have the energy for it and I'm just tired."

"Rather be playing video games?"

You blushed and nodded shyly. "Y-Yes."

He hummed and went to ask you something, but changed his mind when he heard people whispering and giggling. "What the fuck?"

You looked up and blushed. "They're talking about that. I should have known Hange would put it there."

Levi stared at the mistletoe. "What the hell is that about?"

You fiddled with your coat. "Well, mistletoe is an extremely deadly berry if you eat it, but it's jokingly said a kiss is even deadlier if you mean it."

He looked down at you. "Kiss?"

You nodded. "It's traditional for people to kiss under the mistletoe. It's a thing lovers do or someone does to their crush. It's like a place to confess. It's just a silly thing around Christmas really."

Levi slipped his hand over your lower back and yanked you against his body. He tangled his fingers in your hair before pressing his lips against yours. He moaned at you and sighed through his nose. He ignored people cheering and others taking pictures. He just kept holding you and kissing you.

Levi nipped your lip a little before pushing his tongue into your mouth. He moved his tongue with yours as he gripped your back tightly. His body tingled in pleasure at finally being able to kiss you after all these months of chasing you around and trying to get you alone.

You clung to Levi's shirt as your breath was taken at such a passionate kiss. You couldn't believe that the man you loved so much for so long was kissing you. You had dreamed of this moment and it was better than you thought. You were happy, so very happy and hoped that he wasn't doing this just because it was a silly tradition.

Levi parted from your lips but held you still. He licked his lips as he observed you. He softly said your name in a deep voice. "I have adored you for so long now. I've been trying to get you alone, trying to get to you, trying to kiss you and finally I have my chance. I want to be with you and I don't want to let you go. I want you."

You blushed hard at Levi's loving words. You admired the adorable blush on his face. "I...I like you too. I've liked you for so long, but I thought you hated me."

"Really?"

You nodded. "Yeah."

"Wait." He stumbled with you into Hange's room and slammed the door shut. "Tch, damn nosy idiots. Sorry, go on."

You gulped hard. "Well, I thought you hated me. You'd stare at me for so long."

Levi ruffled his hair. "Tch, yeah my bad. I uh...I didn't know how to talk to you once I knew I liked you more than a friend. I just gazed at you thinking of what to say and it turned out to be me just staring. I'm sorry."

You smiled softly. "Don't be sorry." You laughed. "I've liked you for a while. I should have said something sooner, but I have no confidence in myself and my looks. So, I kind of shot myself down before I even gave it a go. I'm just not very lucky with love."

Levi cupped your face and kissed you. "Well, I adore you. I want you as mine."

You blushed. "I'd like that."

He cleared his throat. "So, before the mistletoe thing, I was going to ask if I could watch you play some video games."

You smiled a little. "Sure, you can watch me play."

He cleared his throat. "Tonight?" He blushed bright red. "I-I won't try anything! I-I just want to spend time with you a-and watch you do something you love."

You giggled. "I understand. Sure, let's go."

Levi held your hand. "Lead the way."

You dragged him down the hall past teasing shouts and calls. You raced outside and sighed. You looked up at Levi and smiled a little. You blushed as Levi squeezed your hand tightly and walked with you back to your flat.

i'm the anon from earlier and I will say discord and reddit were a struggle for me because unlike tumblr, where you get to choose who you follow, discord and reddit exposed me to the angrier side of the Lis fandom. Tumblr's a lot more positive for me. You're totally right about how they can't please everyone. Right now, Alex and Steph and Rachel and Chloe fans are cheering about the new comic while Pricefield fans are feeling angry. This fandom being a choice based game franchise mixed with everyone getting attached to certain games makes it tough for sure! The devs will never be able to make everyone happy that's for sure!

Tumblr isn't the perfect website for a thousand reasons, but I do think A: People are generally less intense here. B: Tumblr's block function is pretty good. C: This website hasn't been that popular since the porn ban, and that makes fandom spaces smaller and more manageable. It's way easier to block two annoying people than two hundred. So, yeah, I do think this is one of the better sites for chill fandom activities!

And if I were the LIS devs I would personally make an announcement and then not check the fandom side of social media for about a month. Like you said, LIS is a choice based game so this isn't a situation where the devs can make something everyone likes. Someone's going to be disappointed eventually, and unfortunately that's just the downside of having so many different routes.
