brightened a little, but you can try this at home. lace your fingers together, with your left thumb on top. notice how your knuckles don't line up exactly. now try, with your left thumb on top, doing the 'full hand hold' with no interlaced fingers. (spoiler alert: you can't--it changes from a hand hold to a 'sandwich your entire right hand between your left thumb and palm'. some real claw hand vibes. which, given that dan's thumb is on top, not likely)

honestly i'm really happy for them. this was a masterpiece--both in its artistry and execution, but also in making us go absolutely insane. i don't know if i'll ever recover, in the best way possible
