💧A little deeper stuff💧

✨First of all, having one of these aspects does not mean that you have bad birth chart or that your life is messy, unlucky or anything. It may just mean that one area is more challenging than another. And also if u have a lot of good aspects means these aspects are not so influential. ✨

I know ive been taking a writing break for quite a while for while and have gotten a few questions asking when id be back and I finally have an answer!!!

Nonetheless, Harry could still feel his heart breaking as he gazed over her. 

To anyone else, she may have looked like a girl resting after a long day, but Harry knew better. He saw all the signs. He'd seen the pile of dishes in her sink, her hair was thrown on the top of her head instead of her usual braid back, and her book of choice for the evening was a comfort novel she turned to when she was in need of lighter thoughts. Her heart had been broken today. Most likely by her own hand. 

That was the hardest part, Harry thought as he swept across her floor with silent steps. Knowing that she didn't have to go through this if she was just a little kinder to herself. 

Her strawberry shaped diffuser dispersed her favorite blend of lavender essential oil and vanilla fragrance through her room, the scent wafting around him with the help of the span of his wings. Another comfort, he knew; something to soothe the cracks in her heart she was able to ignore for majority of her day until she was left alone with the stars. It was harder for her when the sun went down. 

With her wish echoing in his head, Harry took careful steps towards her bed. The melancholy in her house lingered with every step, his gaze stuck to her face to ensure she wasn't spiralling into any bad dreams. All he wanted was to comfort her. 

That was the thought he had in his head when he sat down on the edge her bed, her legs just behind him, as he tucked his wings close to his shoulder blades. Ensuring he didn't jostle her as he settled on the mattress, he felt his breath seize when he saw the details of her face under the pale starlight. He'd been close to her before, but this was different. 

Her tear tracks sparkled like the stars that lined his home in the clouds, casting pastel shadows over her face with cool blues and purples. The shape of her lips was even more pronounced given the length of her crying; though he didn't care for the cause, the effect was his favorite. Her skin shone like silk; delicate like the lashes lining her eyes, tiny creases and lines that showed that there still were days that made her smile. Despite the fact he was the one with wings pinned to his back, he swore she was the angelic one of the two. 

Breathtaking; that was all that was running through his mind. She was too pretty when she cried, it wasn't fair. 

His hands fisted in his lap as he wondered what it would feel like to cradle her cheek in his palm. Would she be as warm as he dared to allow himself to imagine, or would she be cool and dewy like the clouds above? Would it be such a bad thing to reach out and test his theories? Besides, he knew from the other guardians that sometimes the touch from an angel can help heal the ailments of their charges. While he doubted he could fix everything that was hurting her tonight, maybe he could soften the sharp edges of her broken heart. 

Uncurling his fingers from the fist he had made in his lap, Harry reached out with a tentative hand. 

Harry's fingertips touched her skin first, the warmth of her skin rivalling the sun at that slight brush alone. The pads of his lean fingers mapped the round of her cheek as he skimmed over her skin, his palm coming to cup around her face. She was soft like clouds and smooth like silk, a creamy warmth bleeding into his skin that Harry didn't think could come from anyone but this woman. His fingers breached her hairline, soft baby hairs curling around his digits while the curve of her cheek molded into the ridges and lines of his palm. 

A platinum warmth was felt bubbling under his skin. That had to be what his friends had talked about—the healing touch of a guardian. It may not be a physical pain he wanted to save her from, but he hoped this touch might be able to soothe her some, even in her sleep. 

Looking at her now, under the guise of pale moonlight with his palm holding her carefully, he wanted nothing more than for her to be able to feel the affection he felt for her. She had no idea how cared for and loved she was—even by people she didn't see all that often now that she had moved on her own. She had no idea how much he cared for her. 

What a special girl she was, he thought as he tentatively ran the pad of his thumb over the height of her cheekbone. Half of her wish was about how much she wanted to give love to others, wishing that privilege upon someone else who he would bet would never really deserve someone quiet as divine as her; selfishness didn't even come to her when she was alone. 

His wish was a hope that there was someone out there that could show her how much she was loved. Someone like him, even though he didn't dare linger on that thought for too long. 

He would find a way to make her wishes come true. He knew he would, that much he'd promise even if he couldn't tell her. 

A tiny smile crossed her features as (Y/N) pressed her cheek into Harry's hand. Pride puffed at his chest, his wings spanning behind him as if he could create a shield around their moment. Even if she wasn't aware, at least she could feel the way he cared for her.

perhaps the well that had been granting all your wishes wasn’t so magic after all… and it was as if your luck had just run out as you searched for what your heart truly desired

Despite how suspicious it may look to be wandering around in the earliest hours of the day, the light of the early hours shone in a way that eased your woes. There were no signs of people at this hour, though you were never left alone, for the birds sung and chirped as if showing off a sense of camaraderie to you. It was the moment you felt most comfortable to indulge in what was perhaps a silly little habit. But it was joyful nonetheless.

The wishing well you’d made your way to (you could tell of its nature from the many coins tossed in of all different ages) seemed long-forgotten, you were it’s only friend. It was hidden away behind all sorts of bushes and foliage, covered in vines that hugged it like they had just been reunited.

Sometimes, you thought that the well was lonesome, hence why it was so nice to you. Often times you’d sing or read to it, telling it about all the latest news from the school that was just out of reach to it.

Today, you sat on the edge of the well, not saying much of anything. Your thoughts echoed so loud and almost reverberated through your heart, in a way that you didn’t have to speak. It was something you’d been wanting to come to terms with for a long time. Perhaps, the sense of camaraderie you and the well had with each other was because you, too, were lonely. You yearned for a love like no other, but couldn’t dare imagine the day it would find it’s way down the right path into reality.

So maybe, if you wished hard enough, some magic (or a miracle) could help you out.

It was your only plan, so you decided that you would follow it through. Getting off the edge of the well, you turned to face it. “I wish to find love, true love, beyond the constraints of my imagination…” You said it quietly, as if it was a wish that shouldn’t be spoken. But then, with much more confidence in your voice, you continued, “I promise I won’t leave you behind, once it happens.” That was a promise you had to make, it would be too cruel, otherwise.

And so, you sat at the well as your heart was filled with a hope that made it jump and skip at the sound of your thoughts, and you listened to the birds. All too ignorant that your wish had in fact been heard, and by the sharpest of ears.

Life went on, as you’d expect, and you felt a little down. Maybe, at the end of the day, your well wasn’t so magical, or your wish was too big. It had only been a few days, total, but the well had never wanted to test your patience or resolve before. Like the time you had just wished that you could crack the code to getting along with one of your classmates, and you’d found a gift hidden in your bag with their name on it. Turns out, when you gave it to them, it was a very peculiar thing that they were specifically interested in and it lit a spark. That was a very obvious wish granted… but no lover had simply fallen into place.

It may be best to stay virtuous and wait, but it felt like days dragged on for millennia, weighed down by the hopes of your heart, and the assumptions of your brain.

Just wish and wait, it was an easy mantra.

But then, just as anyone should expect from miracles, you started to see a glimmer of hope just when you were about to give it all up. And that glimmer was very, very bright.

about as bright as the sun shined through the window on the 1st of February, the day you found a bouquet of red roses adorning the inside of your locker. A marksman had taken his fist shot as Cupid.

It seemed like your impossible love was becoming a reality, and you felt bad for even doubting the powers of the well.

Everyday, since then, you revived a gift in your locker, different every time. Today, it was a purple handkerchief, with red embroidered details. It was cute, simple and heartfelt. And, unbeknownst to you, one of the last gifts you’d be receiving, for the very next day would be the 14th. A special day.

Today, when you were on your way to check you locker, you saw something wholly unexpected. There was another student there, with an awkward, almost nervous smile on his face. And as you later noted, a letter in his hands. He handed it to you, and although you were stunned for a second, you took it out from its carefully sealed envelope.

But it wasn’t just a letter, more than anything, it was a transcript. As the man who’d given you letter started to read the dutifully memorised prose he’d beautifully written himself.

You felt as if you knew him, despite not learning much about him other than his name, Rook, and his affections for you from his letter.

And unlike ever before, you’d felt so close to a ‘stranger’. A stranger, who would soon let you in on their biggest secret, as if it were their final gift to you. They were the one who’d been granting all your wishes, looking out for you from afar; since he’d fallen for you helplessly many moons ago. He had watched you, waiting for your wishes to align. You couldn’t even complain about not knowing, since he was in fact, everything you’d ever wished for.

So maybe in the end, the well wasn’t made to be magical, or perhaps it had known your real wish from the start - and granted you both what you desired in an unexpected manner.

Either way, you got your fairytale ending after all.

do you have a guide as to the extra materials for The Dragon Prince? i keep seeing stuff about comics or books but idk where to start

Not on hand but I can make one here! :D

There are two, soon to be three, canon graphic novels.

Through the Moon takes place between seasons 3 and 4, like a little season 3.5 It isn't Necessary to read it before watching S4 but the story is cool and the extra information is neat. It feels like we might get more info regarding what happened to Rayla while she was gone later in the show

Bloodmoon Huntress takes place when Rayla is a child around when her parents leave. Lots of Runaan and Ethari, also introduces Kim'dael who will be in S5. Again, not Required reading but a fun extra story.

Puzzle House is coming out August 1st and is about Claudia and Soren as children, and we also get a look at younger Viren and other people. Harrow's father, King Atticus is still king in this one so interesting Katolis lore, SUPER hyped for when we get to read all of this one. The Scholastic link has a 15 pages preview if you wanna take a peek.

There are novelizations for Dragon Prince Season 1 and Season 2, they add a bit of introspection and small extra details. Viren in particular gets more of his internal thought processes laid out and for me it just Confirmed a lot of things. Season 3's novelization is coming out April 2nd, 2024. I'm sure all 7 seasons will eventually have novelizations.

Tales of Xadia is the ttrpg book and it's gorgeous and is probably the most lore heavy supplemental material as far as world building goes. The system also looks fun! The website has a character builder too for OC making. As a writer, it's been a great help as far as seeing some aspects of the world laid out. The system looks fun and there are videos of some of the cortex(?) team playing ToX official tales/campaigns but I haven't watched them yet. The campaigns are also available to look at online too.

I think that ToX is getting an expansion at some point since the base game doesn't touch much on Ocean or Star magic, I imagine due to spoilers for the seasons we're coming up on.

There's also a tabletop game called Battlecharged which I haven't personally played and I don't think it Adds lore but I've heard it's fun.

Also, it will likely be a long time before we see it, but there's a video game in the works as well that's in alpha testing right now called Project Arcanum. Wonderstorm is pretty busy!

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE

The Free Stuff:

Reflections are official short stories hosted on TDP's website and all of them are excellent and provide little extra scenes. Some of them are quite impactful, and the ones in this second batch are promising an absolutely wild S5. The first batch was released pre S4 and the second batch is being released now pre S5 as we count down to the new season. They aren't Required reading since the most key information from them will be in the show (going by the S4 ones) but I highly HIGHLY rec reading them all. Banger after banger. As of posting this there may be one more coming.

There's also little 4 panel comics called Everyday Xadia that have been also released during countdown mode and they're just fun/cute. Volume One and Volume 2 (still coming out). Sometimes when people say comics they might mean these, or the graphic novels lol.

Soda’s not big into reading but when you read, it’s a great opportunity for him to cuddle up with you

Sometimes he gets bored though, he doesn’t understand how you can just sit there and read for so long

His reading voice is so very soothing? It’s literally so calming?

You’re always giving each other reading recommendations and you guys have a tendency to just share the books with each other

Dally doesn’t mind your reading habits, he honestly has no real feeling towards your affinity for books

Occasionally, he’ll ask about what you’re reading but he doesn’t really care about what you’re saying

I know, that sounds bad, but hear me out, Steve asks because he loves watching your face to see your reactions

When you cry over something that happened, he’ll comfort you with kisses, when you’re excited, he’ll let you cheer with this love-struck smile on his face

Steve is the kind of boyfriend who will follow along behind you when you’re shopping for books and allow you to stack book after book in his arms

It’s not uncommon to see you perched on the front counter of the DX or sitting back in the garage with a book as Steve works on a car or is running the register

TIM SHEPARD

The Shepard house suddenly has so many books in it and it’s all your fault, all of the books came from you

Tim doesn’t read, he has better things to fill his time with according to him, but he’s pretty much retained all of the information you tell him about your books

He’s asked you to help Curly with book reports a few times, he knows you’re smart and Curly could honestly use the help

Holding your books for you doesn’t happen often but he’s done it a couple of times, grumbling the whole time even though you know he really doesn’t mind

Tim swears that you’re holding a new book every two days and honestly, he doesn’t understand how you have so much time to read

If you read and walk, expect Tim to have a hand on your shoulders or lower back to guide you along, he doesn’t want you bumping into things

CURLY SHEPARD

Books, books, so many books; Curly insists that he never knew there was that many books in the world until he met you

When they have to read books for school, Curly relies almost completely on you

You can get him to read maybe the first few chapters but after that, there’s little to no chance of him actually finishing the book

Because of that, he doesn’t read your books, he finds them boring (no offense to you baby, he just doesn’t have the patience)

But, if your book is made into a movie? Curly’ll tag along and pay for the tickets so you guys can go see the film

And, of course, it’s going to be inaccurate but he actually really looks forward to hearing you talk about it, he could listen to you ramble about books all day long

"I hate field work," you groan as you look at your now broken nails, "i mean, look!" You showed your hand to Javier and Steve.

"What's with it, hermosa?" Javi teasingly ask, knowing how to pull your strings, "that's bad," Steve mutter under his breath as he took a glance at your nails.

After a long field work of looking for Escobar's little rat you're stuck with two of your coworkers doing more paperwork, you would do anything to kill Escobar just so you won't have to work late.

You rolled your eyes as you lean back in your chair, "Javi, you're coming with me," you narrow your eyes at him, "where?" His dumbfounded face made you wanna smile even though you fight it hard not to show it.

"My next nail appointment, duh."

10.05 pm

"When a girl show you her nail you have, no, need, you need to react dramatically," you explain to him as you sat down in front of your nail tech as Javier sat down beside you on the floor, waiting for her to prepare her nail polish.

He nodded his head, looking at you seriously, "i think you should paint it, red," he murmurs under his breath. You shrug your shoulders, "no man can tell me what to paint my nails unless he's the one paying."

"I'll pay for it," he said, "it's expensive," you counter, maybe he'd gave up and just sat there in silence like you ask him to when you're in his car, "I'll pay for it, hermosa," his gruff voice made you wanna melt this time, he stands up and told your nail tech the color he wants.

12.22 pm

You had lunch with Javi, Steve, Connie, and Olivia. Connie admire your nails as Steve and Javi talks about the most absurd and random things that could possibly happen if Escobar got elected as president.

It was supposed to be just lunchtime, but somehow it turns into a little more than that. The four of you went to a mall, somehow forgetting about the fact that maybe there's some are in Colombia that's destroyed by Escobar.

Olivia in your arms while Javi follows you as Connie and Steve stray away, it's good to give them a break sometimes.

"I can't imagine myself having a baby," you said after you smells the strawberry scent on Olivia's baby hair, "birthed or adopted, maybe i would if i have a good man who can handle baby, but.. now, maybe no."

Javier didn't respond, and it made you feel a bit embarrassed, sometimes the both lf you are just to close that you feel to comfortable saying anything around him.

The two of you kept walking and walking around until you ended up in baby clothing section, you talk softly to Olivia, telling her she'd look pretty in any kind of dress they sell here.

"Am i a good man, hermosa?"

The question startled you a little bit, " yeah.. well, at least for me, you are."

Your answer lingers in the air, making awkward atmosphere around the both of you, until you saw Connie and Steve.

3.50 pm

Te amo, Te amo, Te amo, is what he kept whispering in your ear as he kept thrusting his hips upward.

Javier always treat you differently from all the other girls in the embassy, he fucked all the girls there except you but he gave you flowers and chocolate on Valentine's day despite saying he did not celebrate days like that.

This time, Javi let himself cross the line.

The thought of starting a family always appeared on his mind, even though he quickly bury them with alcohol, fucking, and the idea that he's a bad guy, just like Escobar.

And this time, he let the idea surfaced, turning them into a stamina that he used to thrust his dick deep inside you. He can feel your nails scratching his back, possibly leaving permanent red scratches that he'd be proud of.

Okay man, I will let you in on a little secret, from one severely traumatized person to someone else. Luz is traumatized, this made her do bad things. On the scale of bad reactions to trauma Luz is taking it like a fucking CHAMP. She got used and manipulated and that's bound to make someone feel gross and slimy, especially KNOWING as much as Luz knows about how what she did helped someone so EVIL. Should she have been honest? Yes. But also you dense motherfucker, that was probably the LEAST BAD THING she could have DONE in reaction to this trauma.

For a few years, starting when I was 11, some of the most horrific shit you could imagine was happening to me. No details because. You know. Not the place, I don't get the option to throw this under a read more. When I was 13 I did the "right thing" and turned in the person hurting me. But where I lived didn't have good therapists, I already had bipolar (diagnosed in 1st grade, yes for real) and it was getting worse. I would become extremely hostile and easy to set off. I broke aluminum brooms on people's backs. I stabbed people with pencils in high school. I literally missed the start of class to find out where a kid who stole some food from me in the previous class was so I walked into his class and SCREAMED AT HIM. Someone stole my MP3 and I had a meltdown for the entire duration of choir screaming at everyone to give it back because it was extremely unlikely that someone came in the private choir hallway to take my puny outdated MP3. I was a huge fucking piece of shit and I work every day to better myself from who I was in high school. The other day I had someone who knew me in high school come up to me and APOLOGIZE. I was constantly being bullied. I told him I genuinely didn't even remember what he said because it was over 10 years ago now, but told him to pass on to a few of the people I stabbed that I'm sorry. He still bought me a drink because he felt so bad. But I also felt bad. Yeah the only people who can forgive me are the people I've hurt, so I actually don't want to fucking hear your opinion on it.

The other characters in the show are actually emotionally intelligent and understand that even if what Luz did was bad they know she has proven to them that she cares about them and was only afraid of losing them. Speaking as someone who has not a single childhood friend from being the weirdest kid in SPED every year and moving just as frequently, I can absolutely understand the fear of losing the only friends you have and becoming ALONE again.

If this is how you react to any fucking "misbehavior" by someone so hurt then I would rather never hear another thing you have to say. Traumatized children are going through fucking enough.

When I was 10 I jumped off a swingset and landed funny on my arm. I told my mom's boyfriend and he said it was fine. I wore slings I made myself out of paper towels for a month because it hurt to let my arm hang down. Now sometimes when I lift heavy things or sleep on it wrong my arm hurts a bit. I had it x-ray'd a few years back and the bones were only very slightly deformed. Untreated breaks can end much MUCH worse. But when my arm hurts now I don't blame my fucking arm, I blame my mom's shitty boyfriend for not taking me to the fucking hospital (he never told my mom either).

So anyways Luz did a bad thing but she could have literally done a billion things so much worse and her friends forgiving her is not bad writing it's because they LOVE HER, and I don't know why there's so much fucking discourse on this specific topic, the people she hurt forgave her, your opinion is not relevant to this plot point because she didn't hurt you specifically. So sorry anon, that Luz Noceda lied to you specifically and hurt your feelings so bad. It's framed as a bad thing in the show even tf is wrong with you.

The End

Well gang... Here we are. The end of an era!

Okay, so, maybe not that. But certainly the end of a dethkomic. For now, hehe.

I want you guys to know something. I want those of you who have only been with the fandom for a little while to know someone.

That's me... a younger me... in front of my artist alley table at NYCC in 2013. The Klokateer on the left is my friend, Holkie.

Her real name was Holly, and she was a New York native who braved the ridiculous train and subway systems that day (It was Saturday, so things were nuts) just to come out and meet a random person she met through the Metalocalypse fandom. I was surprised and delighted to see her for the first time, live and in person. I gave her some of my werewolf comics, we talked MTL, and generally had a good time. Unfortunately, that was both the first and last time we'd ever see one another in the flesh.

Holkie died in late 2020, just a few months before the Metalocalypse movie was announced. It's a shame she isn't still here to see the show conclude. But I'm willing to go on record and say without her, and her dedication and genuine hard work as a fan, we might not be getting a movie otherwise. She ran the original Dethklok Minute on Livejournal and continued that work here on Tumblr for a time. It kept us fans up-to-date and looking forward to more Dethklok in a time when news about the show was hard to come by, and interest threatened to wane in-between seasons(that's just how it is when you're a fan of an animated series). I know wherever she is, if there's any justice to be had in this life and whatever happens after, she's somewhere biding her time before the premiere with my other friend (and yours) Jon Schnepp. And in the great hereafter, the two of them will have front-row seats in a theatre with a kickass surround sound system. And there'll be a 3D IMAX option. And Dorito dispensers. And candy snake tits. Whatever they are.

I thought a lot about Hokie when I wrapped this comic. I got emotional more than a little when I was writing the eulogy given by her own Klokateer OC, Janet. You might guess that Janet's speech had as much to do with Cherry as it did Holkie, and you'd be right about that. But more so, I wanted it to be a statement to all of us.

When you have a fandom like ours -- a bunch of people who believe in a little cartoon show about heavy metal idiot-gods that hasn't had the ability/huge budget of other shows to churn out official content on a regular basis... and in spite of that -- in spite of apparent cancellation, even -- it still manages to come up with a great storyline, memorable characters, and captures the imaginations of talented masses like yourselves who have managed to make some of the most compelling fan-content on the internet for over a decade, now... It defies probability. And in our case, it defies being cancelled without a resolution.

I think that's something quite special. And it's worth celebrating.

Today is Halloween here in the USA. In our fandom, it's also the last day of Kloktober 2022. To me, this has always been a special time of year -- and I sometimes feel, even more than January 1st, it's a time of celebration for what has come to pass. It's a time of reflection and looking back. It's a time of looking forward to what will be. I can think of no better time to say thank you to each and every one of you dethkomic readers out there, for making this a kickass year. Thank you all -- my MTL friends from the internet, casuals who lurk in our fandom, people who are or who have worked on the show, and everyone in general, for keeping the faith. Thanks for keeping the torch burning.

Holkie, wherever you are, we hope we're doing you proud. This comic has been dedicated to you. And I really miss you. We all do.

Poll Results

The results of the poll are in and I'm amazed we got so many votes. 41 votes! Thanks a ton!

So it looks like, in 1st place, the majority of the guesses for what happens on the Smoking Dragon section of the Hifuu track poll have placed their bets on gambling or Izunagi objects,

pretty good bets all things considered. Early-ish discussion on gambling would definitely suit Hifuu's familiar political parallels as well as allow time for more story focused section in the later portion, or as a comment mentioned a more metaphorical gambling would also make a decent thought crossing their minds as things get interesting. As we've seen a few times in Hifuu before, all it takes to validate a track is sometimes a single thought.

As for Izunagi objects, it definitely is a fair bet since Zun bothered to bring them up again in Unconnected Marketeers. The only issue with it could be that zun has about four other tracks more associated from the very same game. But since Smoking Dragon can certainly have a bit of a Mining type feel to it, it's possible Zun might still use it if he just likes the track.

In 2nd place we have "Something scary happens"

A really good bet too since not only does this new album seem to have a more serious theme with its now famous cover art, but also, Smoking Dragon is an unusually intense track. And not only is it an intense track but it comes after a pretty interesting track.

There's also technically a bit of overlap with the others since it's pretty easy to imagine both something scary happening and the others being mentioned at the same time.

So those who voted this can possibly consider themselves winners too if they want to think that way.

In 3rd place there is another tie. This time between "Renko/ Merry find or think of a smoke related thing?" and "other"

Smoke happening in some way is definitely plausible and easy to imagine, so it's a really good bet too.

As for "other", we really didn't get any comments with suggestions for it, so I imagine it was mostly getting used as a "show results " option.

And that's all the votes that placed "in the money" the last few are as follows

In 4th place we have "Cave related", another good bet,

and finally, tied for last place we have Dragons and Yamajorou/ Yamanba.

Which are probably the most deserving of being in last place since it's very hard to imagine the topic coming up.

imagine that c!dream from canon dsmp appeared in some alternative universe, saw another version of c!tommy, and it intrigued him, so he decided to meet him. but the problem was that there already was another c!dream... 

there’s also an opposite possibility of two c!tommys and one c!dream. i imagine that dream's original c!tommy would often get jealous, and the other one too. and c!dream would absolutely enjoy it and try to make them both more jealous, and when they get upset, act like nothing happened, and they were worrying over nothing. he'd say something like “i'm honoured that you two get so jealous because of me, but can't you see that we're family, and there's no competition? i love you both equally :)” and sometimes he'd wink at one of them while reassuring them, as if to say “you're actually my favourite” to make sure it happens again.

in the first case, c!tommy is suffering from the fact that he has a double problem now and would definitely not be left alone, and c!dreams didn't care about his feelings at all. most importantly, they're obsessed with him and don't let him see anyone else other than themselves. the only reason for c!dream's jealousy is himself, technically. but I think it's not as bad as in the second case, because then c!dream is the one who exploits jealousy to the fullest, making sure that his c!tommys become more attached and dependent on him, and do literally anything he asks them to.

also, i think it's interesting how both cases parallel each other. 1st case: c!dream makes both c!tommys jealous and feel as if one of them won his love, only to repeat it but with another c!tommy = c!dream doesn't care about c!tommy's feelings, and he's just enjoying the spectacle / 2nd case: two c!dreams completely ignore c!tommy's discomfort (even if he has stockholm syndrome, it's still very difficult because he's used to his c!dream, but both c!dreams spend an equally long amount of time with him, and there's no end to this. in the beginning, when the second c!dream came to bond with him, it ended with tantrums and panic attacks. i think sooner or later both c!dreams more or less resigned to discomfort and jealousy, because seeing c!tommy's reaction was far too enjoyable) and are actively exploiting it, just to enjoy the show

Jfc I just had the idea of c!Dream trying to see if he can push his original c!Tommy to the point of trying to kill the other one just to see if he could lmao :)

Also c!Dream being jealous of himself is hilarious, they might have some fun with it at first but the second c!Tommy starts to favor one of them over the other they're fighting to the death lmaooo :)

The argument that Boston has no backstory has little to no correlation with the slut-shaming argument in my opinion. It was more about people wondering "What happened in Boston’s past that made him the way he is?" at a time when we already had Top’s trauma, Ray’s trauma, Nick’s past look insecurity (very light though, I thought it would be explored more...), Ray & Mew’s relationship backstory, Sand’s whole damn life, etc.

Then episode 6 happened and we got the dad scene and people went "Ah, so that’s why!!!" but apparently, not really.  Since according to Jojo, "Sometimes bad people don't need a back story, they're just born sluts" & "Some people just want to see the world burn" and I remember him liking at least 1 Twitter post basically saying "maybe Boston is the way he is just because" (it was during the 1st half of the show so it's been a while, but I could look for it if people want some proof).

So anything about Boston and the reason why he is the way he is is mostly speculation (and the dad "plot" was just dropped after Mew 's threat with the revenge porn, so it could've just been a setup for Mew's revenge, but I could be wrong). And I guess it’s fine, it’s just that people were interested in his character and thought they would get to know more about him overall .

Mew was not painted as a hero, but he was portrayed and said as above Boston several times in the show. And the narrative offered 0 counterpoint view so...Also once again, the directors (because they talked a lot) apparently intended for Mew to be loved, so I imagine they were surprised when most of the audience that weren’t ForceBook fans weren’t on board with Top&Mew to this extent. Which is why they chose to cut some scenes that would make people like them even less.

Nick shamed Boston several times in the show. This isn’t just about the last episode. And do people say that Nick doesn’t love Boston? That Nick said that Boston needed to change for him? Because that’s not true. But, apparently, he said that he loved Boston for who he was, and that clearly wasn’t the case. Which once again, is fine I guess, just disappointing (to me at least). But I definitely have a few issues with Nick and the way he often contradicts himself.

You could say that Nick got an unhappy ending but I can’t help but feel like the point of that scene (and the audience, especially the Thai audience, felt it because they were cheering when Boston got dumped during the last episode live viewing) was that Nick finally got away from Boston, that he deserves better, that it was the good choice for him especially. Boston’s feelings are secondary (or not even taken into account). So while he is sad, it is seen as somewhat a good ending for him. People are happy for him. People are overall happy for every other characters. But the way people talked about Boston on Twitter, YouTube and Tiktok for the entirety of the show...you hate to see it.  

So you could say that while Boston got a sad/bad ending, Nick at least got a sad/good ending. Though I’m sure we all agree that the lack of BostonNick post time-skip is super weird.

The narrative has been punishing Boston for the entire show. It’s not only about the last episode. He got disproportionately punished, not only for his assholery but also his slutty behaviour, and was barely offered a sympathetic glance.

I have a problem with your inktober Snaoe. Not hus age, but the not black hair makes him unrecognizable to me. What makes him Snaoe I wonder???

First, thanks for your question! I'm not sure if it is an inquiry made out of curiosity, or a bit malevolent critic, so I'll try to keep my answer as neutral as possible. To be honest, I find your question a bit baffling for some bits.

I've been consuming Snape content for years and from what I've been able to observe, I saw couteless drawings and interpretations of kid Snape, and I've seen his adult self being drawn in the most unlikely AU, with different haircuts and clothes; as a fictionnal character, I think it's not a problem to propose different interpretations, and anyone is free to pick which one they like and dislike. Also, Snape was definitely a kid once, therefore I see no problem in drawing him as such.

Regarding the hair color, it really confuses me, as the drawings were actually intended to be only linearts. It means that there's actually no colors at all, not even black and white. In doing so I keep them neutral to be able to color them later if I decide to. The pencil colored area are just there to emphasis volumes and shadows, to create some depth and make the general composition nicer for this type of drawing. If you look at my other works, including last year's Snapetober, you'll realise that it's just the way I proceed in most cases. I rarely blacken his hair at the lineart's step. But as the last picture I colored can show you, I never imagined his hair to be anything else than black.

Also, I may need to explain myself about Snape's attitude in my inktober series. For that, I can recognize that I took a lot of liberties from canon. If it's really a problem, I don't know, and honestly I would be interested to know everyone's opinion on this subject, so please do not hesitate to tell me. What happened is that I wanted to do the Inktober, but the prompts for Snapetober arrived 2 days before October 1st. I am someone for whom it takes a lot of time to organise, come up with ideas and put them on paper. So of course, when the "official" Snapetober prompts were released, I had already been looking up for another prompt list, started thinking about my drawings for a few days and had already decided to base it on the official list instead. Most of them were pretty light hearted and challenging, so I knew I would be going for something less dark than usual - and already knew it wouldn't be the most popular idea. And it was a reinforced feeling when I saw the actual Snapetober promptlist, which was super angsty as always.

Eventually, I believe I am free to draw what I want. If you don't like my inktober series, then it's really alright, you don't have to. But also I want to emphasis that if I just wanted to draw something different from usual because I was unwilling to draw the regular super angsty Snape stuff.

Just to be clear, I have nothing against the super popularity of angsty Snape content in any kind of Snape related content. I like my Snape with some angst too, I take a lot of pleasure to both consume and create such things, but sometimes I think it's a bit sad to feel forced to submit to this in order to get more responses.

I hope my answer do not sound too rude, it wasn't my intention. Actually, I'm opened to critics and if anyone want to tell me their opinion, positive or negative on anything that I say or create, please feel free to step forward.

considering just how long ralsei was left waiting in castletown, it’s maybe not so surprising that the area became so heavily imbued with his magic. this effect was only amplified by the near by presence of the dark fountain, and the prince’s family ties to said shadowy geyser. ralsei’s castle has become somewhat of a extension of himself, and it definitely shows, both magically and otherwise/in spirit, so! tl;dr, under the cut will be hcs related to the castle itself, the goings on inside, etc etc.

>to start this out i wanna explain a lil more abt how his soul magic/‘imagination’ magic works. basically, as i mentioned in this hc, ralsei’s soul magic isn’t like he can just, think of s/t crazy, and make it happen. it’s more a passive thing, powered by his own belief/hope/wonder he finds in the world around him. >and, bc ralsei doesn’t. realize that he’s the one affecting/creating these things, there is a sense of randomness to the castle. he never knows what to expect, but he doesn’t consider that a bad thing, he finds enjoyment in the thrill of adventure, after all! and, tbh; thats kinda why its Like That™ in the 1st place? it’s a subconscious attempt @ staving off the effects of prolong -ed isolation, a makeshift fix for an abandoned childs boredom/loneliness. >(this is also why hes able to find his way around the castle with ease despite it’s mixed up nature.)

>the castle seems impossibly bigger on the inside, ofc the outer shell is a looming figure in of itself, bc, well. it’s a castle. however the point still stands, bc the inside almost seems never-ending, and ever-changing, at that, bc… >his magic changes a lot the castle’s interior itself, randomly creating new, strange rooms to explore, most of which don’t even seem possible. these rooms vary in size, from smaller, more cramped spaces, to places bigger then a football field, the contents inside can be anything, rlly!–

>from a dark forest that honest to god makes you feel like you’re outside, though you know you can’t possibly be. w/ fanged plants and pretty crystals twinkling much like fairy lights, w/ tree swings that hang impossibly from above. >to a room completely made out of patchwork and knitted yarn, w/ weird art stuffs and childish looking statues, and a small pond made of water colors, the rocks/lily pads to jump across are instead, large colorful buttons.

>there’s more minor oddities too, such as: staircases that don’t make sense/seem to move every so often, meaning sometimes you end up upside down or walking down sideways on a wall. >new doors and hallways that definitely didn’t exist a moment before/pop up out of nowhere, a number of secret passages and tunnels to use as shortcuts. >random puzzle areas and maze-like sections scatter -ed around the place, similar to the ruins in UT, etc etc!

>another layer of the what/how @ his castle, is the fact the general vibe of the place is also effected heavily by rals’ own mental/emotional state. >meaning, say he’s having a Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, the place will. be a lot less lively then usual, not as bright/with colors dulled, colder somehow, etc etc. >and, if the opposite is true, if he’s instead, doing alright/feeling happy/excited, the castle be as it normally is, lively and colorful and forever in motion, filled with song/general goings on, warm in that homey/cozy sorta way, etc etc. >there’s ofc, lots of states inbetween, but! y'get the idea.

>tho, there’s some things that aren’t so magically inclined, like how a lot of the castle runs on a series of weird rube goldberg type machines, built by ralsei himself. bc. even w/ all the free time in the world, upkeep for an entire magical castle + the dark fountain itself is a lot for just one (1) lil prince! >so, hes went and automated a lot of the more repetitive work to help lighten the load. while they’re kinda arts and crafts looking, lots of popsicle sticks and glitter glue; they’re still surprisingly complicated and generally pretty reliable.

>as well, any rooms usually left untouched by the daily magical shifts (certain hallways, the main entrance, rals’ room, the library, the kitchen, etc etc) are us -ually covered in other cutesy decorations, glitter/confetti and stickers, etc etc. >some of the inanimate objects in ralsei’s castle are ‘alive’ albeit in a subdued sense, they’re able to move/react, mostly. empty suits of knights armor, stuff in the kitchen, statues, paintings, bookcases, clocks, doors. not everything in the castle, of course. but again, y’get the idea, i think!

>so, yeah! 2 wrap this up: ralsei, ofc, has some seriously bad memories tied to his castle, and thats. rlly part of the reason his magic has settled so heavily into its bricks, tbh. he doesn’t want castle town to be something he fears, or something he solely associates with those bad events. it was his + his families home, and he still considers it such, even after everything. >he doesn’t want it to be something that just. makes him sad™, so all the stuff w/ the castle, the ever changing layout, how it became a home to the strange creatures that fill the halls, the childish display of candy colors and clashing designs, is basically just. a type of stubbornity?

>tl;dr it’s him looking at the ruins of a castle he no longer knew, and digging his heels in, making it so it’s not just another thing the knight took from him, etc etc.
