I looove Frankenstein. Like I'm obsessed with it.. such a fuckin good book and a cool concept overall. And Lady Godwin is such a funky character like there are these two conflicting parts of her, literally, being a dainty upperclass fancy woman who now has a body of a fighter... Like the internal conflict with her is so good ! And she has an internalized sexism view of bodies thing going on but it's also extremely homosexual and frankly I'm already obsessed with her.

in the first episodes of ethersea travis pronounces devo's last name as "le mien" which i realize is just a non-francophone attempt to pronounce la main but is interesting because actually le mien in french has a completely different meaning which is "mine" (as in, belonging to me). so the way travis says his name in the beginning actually kinda translates to "devo mine" which, while incidental and i guess non-canonical, has layers of implications if you really want to dig into it
