I am just a random nobody online, but I really want to let you know that you are not alone. Please never think not even unconsciously that you're not enough or deserving to ask for or receive the help you need to receive. You totally are enough and you will receive it too. Maybe it won't be from the people you are interacting with now but don't give up on hopes and on searching for help even somewhere else, and keep asking for it too, even more than once if you think it can be necessary: at times people (even the ones around us the most) cannot really hear our call, so instead of closing off when we feel unheard we can ask again and be even more clear about our needs, maybe wording them differently and giving them (and our fears/anxieties) the right importance like even just saying "I'd really need a hug right now: please, can I get one from you?". Keep voicing your needs with no fear of being judged. Let yourself be vulnerable in front of those you feel like it's okay to. In the end someone will answer and fulfill your needs, even just partially (to start with).

Honestly I am not a doctor or a professional figure in any sense so I cannot really give you answers or proper solutions or prescriptions (these should be done on you specifically), but I hope you can at least feel a bit of comfort and understanding in these words. It's really heavy and painful to go through bad stuff, especially when they seem to keep coming and never stop: the trauma mount that these create really feels too much to bear with, especially if you feel alone fighting against it all and trying to survive to the escalade/dismantling of it; all that can really play with your nerves and cause deep emotional imbalance and stress that shows in your body too, since mind and body are heavily connected. Try to listen to your body when this happens: I think it wants you to find outlets for that huge amount of energy that anxiety and stress may be causing you to store within yourself when you spiral/overthink/overstress (it may be a reason why you may esperience a burning feeling or may even tremble or breathe heavily or even stomachaches or shoulders/back tension: your body is trying to respond to your mind's impulses and give you signs about them/help you let things out/survive).

Idk if you already know of and/or have tried any technique to distract/"ease" yourself when you start spiralling (so to gain again a little control over yourself and to process your anxiety in a different way: eg. *alternate* nose breathing, 5 things focus or walking back and forth in a room alone or in nature, talking to yourself out loud -not inner talking- or singing, yawning/drinking, moving your eyes in the 4 directions -slowly-, hugging/touching your legs/body or anything comfy for as much as you need while you hyperventilate -if you reach that point- until it feels better, journaling, yoga...), but I hope you keep taking care of you as you can, and do anything that helps you to feel less stressed and get the lowest amount of external negative/overwhelming inputs (eg. not staying much online/looking at the news, trying to get away from other's people problems at least for a little; maybe you can try doing other things that can help you relax all your senses as well or focus on another sense instead of eg. sight to "calm" it, like listening to calming music with your eyes closed).

Keep taking as many breaks as you need and go slow. Do not feel guilty for not doing much. Try to not rush anything as the need to get away from/push away something, even a feeling, "asap" will just make it more present/important and everything may get worse (at least in my personal experience it was so, I cannot tell without a doubt about you ofc). It's almost impossible to not do that at times, I know, but with patience and time, and talking with yourself as if you were a scared child reminding yourself you're still safe despite the very overwhelming feeling and finding ways to stay present like touching solid stuff around you/feeling the ground/holding something near your stomach, you'll be able to (again it worked for me, not sure for you as we're all different). I also hope you'll soon find the right people able to really help you as you deserve and that can give you the right suggestions and support. Please, do not give up! I am cheering for you<3

Hello,

I want to ask about Dabi's motivations revenge wise. From what I understand, Dabi's motivation is fueled by an existential crisis with him saying something along the lines 'I'll burn everything Endeavor owns that will be the proof I was ever existed' (when fighting Todoroki).

How does his revenge and actions actually line up with his original motivations of justifying his existence because I don't see how. (maybe he has other motivations ofc which idk of)

This is a bit of a complex topic, and I'm not sure I can quite put it into clear enough words, but I’ll try my best to answer your question.

Let’s start off with this: Dabi’s actions as a villain are in itself a desperate attempt to justify his existence. 

To help you better understand what I mean by this, I need to take a step back and explain why Dabi thinks his existence needs a justification in the first place. 

Even as a child, Touya always understood his birth as a transaction between his parents; he was brought into this world as a genetic esperiment, a melange of their quirks that was supposed to land Enji with a perfect heir. 

That self-awareness is crucial here. Knowing that his birth was staged with a specific purpose in mind, and wasn’t just the culmination of an act of love between two people who want to make a happy family together, warped Touya’s entire self-perception. It made him believe that besting All Might wasn’t simply the goal of his future career as a pro hero, but first and foremost the reason behind his existence. 

Now, it’s important to understand why this is an extremely unhealthy belief. Individuals don’t exist for a purpose, they simply are. 

On top of that, healthy child development relies on receiving unconditional love. For a child to grow up well, they need to know their parents love them and will take care of their needs. However, in the Todoroki household this was always backwards. Not only did Enji never offer any unconditional love, but it was the children that were expected to provide for the needs of the adults who brought them to life. This of course had a huge negative impact in their development, particularly in Touya’s case.

It’s not normal for a five year old to wonder why he’s alive and despair at his lack of answers. While it’s natural for children that age to want their parents’ attention and approval, it’s unhealthy and toxic for them not to have a sense of self outside of that wish to please them. But because Enji wanted Touya to fulfill his ambitions, he never encouraged his son to develop an individuality—that is to say, all the unique traits that would make Touya himself. Instead, Enji raised him with the expectation that Touya would be a Endvr 2.0, a perfected version of himself who would finally be strong enough to beat his rival. 

This is why Touya's "fire" remains "lit" even after he was casted aside, by the way. 

It’s not that Touya can’t quit training in secret because he’s too stubborn for his own good, unlike what the rest of the family thinks. It’s that Enji’s parenting brainwashed him to believe he only exists to train until he’s strong enough to beat All Might, so again, achieving that is not just a goal, but a requirement to be on this world as Endvr’s son.  

Are you still following me? I hope so, because keeping in mind this much is the key to understanding his motivations as a villain. 

As you quoted yourself, Dabi’s looking to “prove he ever existed.” But what does that mean? And how does revenge factor in it? 

To explain this we have to remember that Touya’s breaking point is not the moment he becomes a failure in his father’s eyes. That happens when he’s five, but up until he’s sixteen, he’s still holding on to the hope that all he needs to regain his father’s attention is proving himself worthy of it. Even after Enji leaves him alone at Sekoto Peak and Touya burns alive, the moment Touya wakes up he’s already making excuses for his dad and ready to go back to their usual shtick: 

So his actual turning point is going back home and finding that altar with his photo on it. That’s when he says farewell to Touya, prays at his own shrine, and leaves that identity behind to become “Dabi.”

The reason why this happens is simple. All this time, Touya firmly believed that there was a reason why he existed, and that he only needed to show it to his dad so that Enji could acknowledge it too. But after finding out that in his absence his family proclaimed him legally dead and moved on with their lives, his sense of self cracks and shatters. Touya takes it as the ultimate failure: his family put him in a condition where he can no longer prove anything. So long as he “lived”, he still had a purpose to fall back on. But in death, which is the definition of non-existence, Touya feels forced to accept that this is the end of the line, that he’ll never measure up to those expectations. That as far as his father’s concerned, Touya’s attempts to give meaning to his life ceased there, and that all that remains of that prodigy is a picture on an altar, a memory of a failed creation that Enji could conveniently leave behind in the past. 

So when Dabi rants about his need to “leave a mark on this world” and “prove he ever existed,” this is what he’s talking about. Everything he does as a villain can still be understood as a desperate effort to be seen and acknowledged by his father. But how can he achieve that when Enji always refused to look at him, no matter how strong Touya was? 

The answer is by becoming a villain. Since Enji always used the excuse that he was too busy in what he called “the world of heroes” to ever perform his duties as a father, Touya decides to meet him on even grounds as the enemy instead of pointlessly waiting for his dad to give him the time of day. 

Training until he masters all of his father’s moves and planning a revenge plot to ruin him are also instrumental to that subconscious need to prove his worth. Yes, Dabi wants to make Enji suffer, to take away everything that mattered to him and then kill him, but at the same time he also just wants his father to recognize Dabi’s strength. You can see it in his reaction when Enji still refused to face him at the beginning of this second war arc.

What if kid angel goes to a trip for a week and Kai starts to worry when she said she’s going away and thinks it’s forever he tells pops to drive him to the air port and Chrono tags along and right where she’s about to board he runs to her telling her he’s in love with her and kisses her on the lips and angel tells him she’s gone only for a week

"Huh?"

Was the only thing he could mutter after hearing your words. Even Kurono had stopped midway to take a bite out of his apple after what you had just said.

"Yeah!" You said in enthusiasm, jumping from the bench you were sitting on to talk with the boys you made friendship with "Isn't it nice? Go to America?! I always wondered how New york was anyway, my dad said we are going tommorow!"

"Tommorow?!" He couldn't help but to get up and accidentally shout, making your eyes grow wide as well as Kurono's. He immediately coughed to mask his... shock "Apoligies."

"Not a problem?" You said in uncertain before you saw your mom caming to pick you up "Gotta go now! Sorry Kurono and Chisaki-kun, see you soon!" You waved at then while Kai sat back in the bench, trying to process the new information.

"Send letters from New York!" Hari managed to scream as you gave him a smile while nodding. The boy with white hair looked to his side to found Kai with wide eyes, looking at the ground as if he just had esperience death of someone... that he actually likes.

"Oi?" He waved his hand in front of the boy's face with a worried look "Kai? Hello? You're okay pal?"

He only snapped back to reality when Pops came by to grab the two boys and brung them home...

He couldn't stop thinking about that... You were going away from Japan. Probably forever, and yet you didn't even cared about it? Your expression was one of joy for God's sake! It was as if you didn't cared about the changes, didn't care about the inumerous illness that you could contract on this trip.

He shaked his head at the thought while making his way to his bedroom, dragging his feet on the halls to put his back on the place and change for his nightly routine.

He layed on bed and kept tossing around... The thoughts just wouldn't leave him alone.

Wakening up at the buzz of his phone he took it with a grumble and opened just to widen his eyes at one message of yours. That you were heading to the airplane now.

... that's it. He can't let you go without at least telling you, what if you met some filth and enaged to them? No. Oh HELL no.

He jumped from his bed and for the first time on his life just threw the first clothes he found near his way as he burst the door open, running in the hallways... even making a subbordinate fall on their butt on the floor.

Pausing at the entrance of the kitchen he breathed in and out, not caring about the estate he was in or the looks he was receiving from Kurono and Pops. The elder just in the middle of flipping a pancake fron the fry while Hari just about to drink some orange juice.

"... first time seeing you in a hoodie, you sick?" Kurono qsked more in shock than anything as Pops turn off the stove.

"Fuck off." Kai said immediately, Pops about to question his behaviour went to the elder with a desperate look on those usually bored amber eyes "Pops, I need to go to the airport. This instant."

"What the- What do you want to do on a airport boy?"

"(Y/n) is going away. Please Pops I really need to see her before she leaves for real."

The elder furrowed his eyebrows at the look and how his Chisaki was almost on his knees, pleading him to go to the airport.

"There's not time!" He exclaimed in annotance as the elder lifted his hands up in false defence as he muttered inumerous 'okay's' while getting out of the kitchen and calling a driver of his with a very anxious Kai on the front.

"You coming Kurono?" The elder asked as Kurono furrowed his eyebrows at his breakfast before witg a dramatic sigh leaving his seat and stuffing his hands on his own white hoodie and tagging along.

"CHISAKI WHAT ARE YOU-?!" The elder exclaimed when suddenly Kai opened the door to run towards the entrance of the airport, dodgjng all the people and cars on his way.

When he got in he looked frankly around, huffing and puffing still as he scanned the area for any signs of any girls with (h/c) hair.

When he spotted you far away his body moved before his own mind, running towards you and even cursing a guard when he tried to stop him, jumping and slidding through the ground to prevent to getting caught.

He was close, so he shouted your name... Relieved to see your confused then joy at seing him there before frowing your eyebrows at his state.

"Chisaki-kun?" You spoke in surprise as he stopped in front of you to catch his breath... sweat creeping his forehead making his hives apear... yet he didn't care about that right now "What are you doing in here?"

Just before he could answer, the guard almost catched him if it wasn't for his good reflexes.

"Little brat! You know the rules of thsi place to even get running and shouting like that huh?!"

"For crying out loud do your job instead of giving me a headache." He mumbled before the guard tried to grab him, Pops grabbed his wrist painfully from behind and spoke on a treatening tone of voice.

"Lets talk for a bit will we?"

"Chisaki what's going on-?" Your eyes widened when Kai, the so called mysophobic on the school, grabbed on your shoulders and made you look at him.

"I... I couldn't let you leave forever without telling you that.. That I.." dammit! Where were his words when he needed the most?!

Mentally saying screw it, he brought you close to place a kiss, a very slow but passionate kiss, on your lips. You yelped a biy before slowly melting on his touch.

He parted away with eyes half open as he stared at you before looking at the ground with a frow.

"Just don't... forget about me. You belong to the yakusa now so no american can take you. Got that?... I know im not the most clear with emotions... but I love you. Always had and always will."

Your eyes blinked as your cheeks, already flushed, reddened even more as you coyld only mutter a confused, embarrassed and high pitched 'huh?' in return.

"(Y/n) sweetie. We have to go." Your mom called as your dad cheered on the background.

"Vacations baby! We're going to even taste those hotdogs you saw on the movjes once my little flower!"

"Wait, vacations?" Kai suddenly deadpanned as he looked at you, hands still on your shoulders and even hearing Kurono snicker from behind him.

"W-What do you think it was?" You asked, still surprised with what happened.

"Oh I get it." Pops laughed as he yeeted the guard out of his way to pat Kai's head "He thought you were moving, so that's why he was sm desperate to get in here." He messed the boy's hair before he snactched his hand away with a scoff.

"I wasn't." He growled... but his pink cheeks betrayes him completely.

"Dude you put a hoodie and whatever pant you could find. You were almost eben crying to Pops to get us-"

"Shut up before I cut you to pieces with your fucked air Kurono." He growled animalistic at his childhood friend while you muffled your giggles behind your hand.

"Is only for a week. Didn't I mention that?"

"No, you didn't." He glared back at you before chocking at the kiss you gave him before pecking the tip of his nose.

"I am coming back by the ende of this week!" You started to walk away before looking back at a very flustered Kai "Ah! I will keep in touch Kai! I love you too!"

He could die and he would be happy now.

Kurono snickering and Pops laughing behind him didn't helped for his embarrassment as he only grabbed the hem of his hoodie and yanked up to hide his face as he made his way out of the airport.

"Where are you going my boy?" Pops laughed from behind him as he guided the boys to the car "How about tell me more about your girlffriend eh?"

"Quite a miracle since (Y/n) is the opossite of Kai and-"

Book of Shadows

I started my book of shadows today. Although I don't really call myself a witch (I'm very new to this, so I want to esperiment a bit before putting a label on myself), I wanted to have all of the things I find in one place.

So far, it only contains a few old recipes that I found in my grandmother's cookbook. You might think that's weird, but I wanted to start with something I'm familiar with, and some of them kind of feel like spells anyway ehehe

I might add some info about tarot, since that's my main focus right now, but also tea, herbalism and nature in general. Maybe some cool facts about the moon and the planets, who knows.

the short of it is: she’s cute and friendly and loves games/movies/comics. she works at a shop for those things. also frequents an arcade. pls friend her. or more.

she’s 5′3″, yellowblood, with very powerful telekinetic psionics. she’s able to “project” her telekinesis into a barrier and has even started to utilize it as a way to “touch” things with it, though she’s just now learning that skill. she doesnt go red/blue when using it, her eyes glow yellow. she’s fat and very adorable, with her cheek dimples pierced and two piercings in each lobe. no tattoos for now. she’s fond of the idea of tattoos and more piercings but for now hasn’t gotten any. she’s close to 8.5-9 sweeps by now i think, and for some reason (that she will avoid talking about unless she feels close/can trust someone), she’s extremely good at mixing cocktails. she’s an ok cook, not the best but not the worst.

her main hobbies are video games, comics/manga, cartoons/anime, and really cheesy b-horror and crappy sci-fi flicks with bad effects, and she also enjoys cheesy bad rainbowdrinker movies. she has a soft spot for romantic/cheesy shit as well. she collects figurines and assembles them with her telekinesis as a way of using it and perfecting it for delicate use and also because her fingers are chubby and sometimes she just can’t do delicate maneuvers.

currently she lives alone in a small hive on the outskirts of a medium city. she works as a manager at a comic/videogame/movie shop, so that’s one way she could meet people. she scored the job by being a regular, then being a clerk, and knowing more than most of the staff so the owner picked her to be the general manager. it’s pretty good pay for a lowblood and the hours are flexible. there’s an arcade near to her work where she also stops in regularly.

she has a heart of gold and would help anyone given the chance. she really really needs friends but i’ve also dreamed of the day that the poor thing gets a mate lmao. she’s not hemoist, but is extremely polite and respectful to all above her -- which is most considering she’s only yellow -- because she’d not want to bring attention to herself. that said, she will still throw anyone out of her store who is being a punk. the store owner is a violetblood and they usually keep a purple or blue blood clerk working at the same time as esperi, to back her up in case anyone decides to be hemoist. but don’t be fooled, esperi is still in charge of the store when she’s in there. and will still throw you out the door with her telekinesis.

ways to her heart: common interests in games/movies, and food. girl loves to eat. it shows. she doesn’t care. don’t make fun of her size/stature, don’t you dare question her when she knows what she’s talking about, and don’t make fun of what she is eating. yes, she’s eating fries and chicken strips with a lot of sauce, bite her fat ass.

she knows a few of my trolls, including savona (a jade doctor who lives/works in the same city), kinyon (brownblood), vitrel (anon), and acaena (blueblooded blacksmith, also lives in the same city).
