hey. uh, sorry, but can we drop the notion that Dazai arranged for the Flags to die in Stormbringer? Look, I'm too lazy right now to go back and pull up the direct scenes, but that was never stated, it is heavily implied Dazai gave Verlaine the information after they had already died, and if you look at this post by @/popopretty, you'll see that Chuuya only punishes Dazai for doctoring the intel so that he got tortured and Murase died. There is no mention of the Flags.

ghost's love language being physical touch and action <3 but not knowing how to voice it

she was a mangy little thing; you could see it the moment you saw her. she lowered her body to the ground the moment you made eye contact. her lips pulled back into a hiss, white teeth threatening to bite. you didn't doubt they could. but the feral look in her eyes- nobody was born that way. it came from something, it always did.

so, slowly, you began to draw the little thing in. you left out a bit a food from every meal to get her interested. bits of meat (if you could call whatever slop came out of the can that), bread, anything. you would tear it off as you ate and throw it somewhere nobody could step on it, but somewhere she could see.

the other soldiers were a little too busy tearing into their meals to care, but ghost, ever-watchful of you, does. "'s just a cat. you need to eat," he told you, voice low and serious.

but you just smiled, that damn smile that always melted him to his core. "so does she," you replied.

and ghost couldn't find it in himself to say otherwise.

you watched her slink out of the shadows and give the chunk of meat a few sniffs. she finally sank her teeth into it and ran off once more. it didn't take ghost long to notice that your eyebrows were furrowed.

"spit it out," he said, making you turn to him, confused. "you're worried abou' somethin'. out with it."

the rough way he speaks makes you (affectionately) roll your eyes. ghost has never been good at expressing how much he loves you through more than touch. his words are always a little rough, but his hands are always gentle. "well, we're moving bases soon," you remind him, having another bite of your food- a simple stew that more resembles slop. "i don't want to leave her."

although ghost rolls his eyes right back, he can't help but feel himself grow soft. it's a perfect reminder of why he fell in love with you in the first place. despite being this, despite being a soldier, you have a love for life that makes ghost want to hold you and never let go. "we can bring her with us."

his words make you raise your eyebrows. "i thought she was just a mangy cat," you reply, smiling as you repeat (mock) his words.

ghost grumbles something under his breath as he wraps an arm around your waist. "don't like seein' you worry," is all he says.

without hesitance, you lean into him in the way you always do- your head on his shoulder, hand on his. you know ghost doesn't always know how to express how much he loves you in any way but this. and you'll take it. you lift his hand to press a kiss to his knuckles and lift your head so he can see your smile. so you can see his eyes, softening like butter beneath the summer sun. "well, i don't want to scare her," you tell him. then you raise yourself higher to press a kiss to his cheek, even though his face is covered by the mask. "but thank you. that was sweet."

ghost grumbles something you can't quite make out other than "just a cat," making you giggle. the sound makes him lower every single defense he's ever had around you. he can't help it; he's a military man. he's defensive. but when it's you... everything becomes different. ghost brushes your bangs out of your eyes so he can stare into them a moment longer. before price gets you all up and running again. before you two have to exist anywhere outside of this moment.

his squeezes you to make sure you're really there.

TLDR - The Universe keeps fucking with Loop and they are not really happy about it, regardless of timing.

While I haven't decided anything 100% concrete for Loop, the idea of a reverse isekaied Loop in general is interesting to me, so I'll be exploring that a bit here. Especially in terms of timing on when Loop gets taken out of their timeline. At least in terms of immediate outlook within this AU. So, for now, have a couple of those thoughts!

The two main points in time I am currently considering are the following:

1. From when they gave up their original wish and made a new one.

In this instance, I feel like their arc would play a bit similar to in game

Seeing this new world as different & peaceful

Since they don’t have to deal with the loops anymore, just watch whatever happens.

Be a lil silly for funsies! The chaos that can ensue with a star being existing within a modern world! 

Even though it hurts to see Siffrin’s team hanging around, they really don’t have anywhere to go at the moment (hard to hide a star being in this type of world)

To a slow realization of how unfair this whole situation is. In comparison to all of the horrors they went through, this Siffrin has it so easy.

This Siffrin gets to live an idyllic life, free from the world calamity of being frozen & the literal time loop.

This Siffrin gets to freely hang around their family team, with no foreseeable "end" to being with them in sight.

This Siffrin had their original wish, the wish Loop wanted granted, handed to them on a silver platter. 

This Siffrin, nor anyone in this world, would ever be able to come close to understanding what Loop went through; Loop would never truly be seen in this world, not fully anyway.

What does The Universe have against them, to put them into this world and make them witness all of this?

It should have been them, with this carefree type of life, given all they went through.

2. AFTER the fight with Siffrin.

This leans a bit more lighthearted than the last, since Loop would have gone through all the development from the game via convos + the talk at the very end with Siffrin, and has a bit more peace about their whole deal.

Perhaps they would still see the same conclusions as above, since healing from the horrors would not happen all at once, if ever, with additional flavor

Underlying bitterness in why the script is still going. 

Why is The Universe asking for them to continue into a new world and role?

Haven’t they had enough, once making them witness another Siffrin’s loops and perfect ending, and now a completely idyllic Siffrin’s life from the get go?

However, there is also a bit of hope in the entire situation. Since if The Universe keeps deciding to fuck with them (as in, sending them to different world lines) there is still, technically, the chance of going backward as well.

To their original timeline and to their family.

Once could have been a one-off, but twice?

Perhaps three world jumps might be the minimum to go back, following standard wishing rituals?

More hope in this one from the get-go, with that thought in mind.

Another one I was considering was RIGHT BEFORE the fight with Siffrin, perhaps even mid-fight. However, I don't think that makes much sense for this particular AU ASAFASFASDAS. Can you imagine if Loop just spawned into this world, doesn't realize this is a completely different Siffrin, and attacks on sight?????

Honestly the idea of a reverse-isekaied Loop into different AU's in general is neat, would love to see other people's takes on it!!  Especially cuz of the various reactions/conclusions Loop could have/make based on the scenario/circumstances would be interesting, if that makes sense. At least I think there is something in that thought? I dunno!

I feel like I am missing some characterization bits in here, but that was the main gist of it for now since I cannot remember LMAO.

Mikasa is tall by most country's standards. She knows this and towers most of her fellow female cadets. Frankly, she isn't phased at all by the height of her partner. It's just a thing she makes a mental note of and stashes it away for later.

Instinctively reaches for the items from the top shelf if you're reaching for it. She'll pause if you already have a stool out and ask if you need help but any other time, she'll do it herself.

It's not a big deal to her so if you protest she'll just nod and stop doing it. (She knows Captain Levi personally. She knows you can handle yourself.)

Are you missing your stool, want her help but don't want her to grab it for you? She'll scoop you up in her arms and give you a boost.

Definitely lingers for a few seconds too long, eyes heavily lidded with her hands wrapped around your waist. It's long enough to notice but not long enough to hinder the task at hand.

Absolutely adores picking you up by your hips (for a hug or smooch) or giving you a piggyback ride.

Are you receptive to being carried? Mikasa can and will carry you to each room as you complete your everyday chores.

Will lug you under her arm like a teddy bear as she prepares for bed.

Often reaches down to brush the hair from your forehead. It's a tender, loving gesture from her. Sometimes she'll leave a little kiss.

Absolutely mesmerized by the size difference between you two, especially with a live comparison. Hand to hand Tarzan style? Beautiful. You cuddled to her chest? Amazing. She'll worship all these features, taking her time adoring them in small ways (and in the bedroom).

Listen…… if she finds out you like her towering over you, getting in close, it's game over. She'll smirk and rain kisses from above, showing you that this can work out. Likewise, giving her bedroom eyes from below.

Casually wears a few of yours around the house, but only if you insist/don't mind the stretch.

(Secretly feels all mushy and squishy when she sees your clothes not even making it to her ankles/wrists.)

You can't see at a concert? She'll break their kneecaps- I mean find a compromise. Listen, Mikasa is toned. She can balance you on her shoulders/piggyback you no problem.

Either smirks teasingly if you get on your tiptoes to kiss her or gives you a very tender look. (Or both. Both is good.)

Will bend down if you ask/tug. Or if you're receptive, she'll pick you up and kiss you in her arms or place you on the nearest counter/table.

Gets sappy if you don't even try to kiss her mouth but instead kiss whatever part of her you can reach, arm, hand, etc.

If she's going in for a kiss, she'll bend her back and press a light one to your temple. If it's your lips she's after, her fingers will ghost lightly over your chin and jaw, eyes half-lidded. "Can I?"
