How to make regular TS4 clothing compatible with digitigrade legs: PART 1

This tutorial assumes you're converting for my digitigrade leg mesh used in my satyr legs and werewolf override, but it should also apply to any other funky-shaped legs you might want to do this with. Useful either if you want your digitigrade sim to be able to wear a piece of vanilla maxis clothing, or for converting cc (please get permission from the creator where applicable before doing so, especially if they make their own meshes).

I'll do my best to make this tutorial accessible to relative beginners, but I'm assuming that you already have some basic blender knowledge. If you don't, there are a lot of good tutorials that explain its clusterfuck of an interface better than I could, so I recommend finding a few of those and familiarizing yourself with the software before you continue.

You'll need Sims 4 Studio, blender, and potentially an image editor like gimp or CSP (anything that can handle transparency) depending on the clothing.

This first part will cover shorts and anything else that ends above the knee (along with some extra s4s stuff like category settings and CAS thumbnails that I do to make them look better and behave properly in-game); next section will cover long loose pants which is a somewhat different process, as well as cuffed pants, skintight leggings, and other things that might require some heavier editing and altering of the shadow map, UV, and textures.

Getting Started

Digitigrade base meshes are available for download here. Please don't reupload them unaltered, and I highly recommend not changing the edited part of the leg mesh (knees down, basically), or it may mess up their ability to match up seamlessly with other digitigrade leg parts. The most effective way to use them is to append them to the project you're working on and frankenstein them onto your mesh as needed rather than modifying the blend files themselves, especially if you're making WW parts since these don't include Turbodriver's rig.

Mesh Editing For Shorts

Shorts, miniskirts, and anything else that ends above the knee are great because you don't need to do much, if any, actual sculpting, and once you know how it's relatively quick to do.

To start, export the mesh for the shorts you want to convert the same way you did the legs, all LODs. If you're converting cc, it's possible the original creator won't have made proper LODs (some don't because it's incredibly tedious, but it's good practice and improves visuals and performance in-game), and if that's the case you might want to make some LODs, but I won't tell you how to live your life.

For this, I'll be using these base game vanilla shorts, since I need to convert them anyway. Because when I think of satyrs, obviously I think of khaki shorts.

Yeah.

Append the digitigrade leg mesh via File>Append. navigate to where you put the legs, pick the mesh you want (make sure the one you're importing is the same LOD and frame as the mesh you're altering), select the object folder, and import s4studio_mesh_1.

You'll end up with a situation that looks something like this. Do not be alarmed.

I don't know why it imports these things along with the mesh (there's a non-zero chance someone will yell at me for doing it wrong and it's not supposed to be like that) but in my experience you don't need any of it, so deselect the mesh and delete everything else that imported.

At this point, to make things easier on yourself, you'll want to hit numpad 3 for orthographic side view, set viewport shading to solid, and hit alt+Z to toggle x-ray view.

Take note of how many objects make up your mesh. For most maxis shorts (and probably a lot of cc ones) there are three that divide up the legs, and it's important that you maintain that number and don't remove/replace any of them, otherwise the mesh will be broken once you import it to S4S. It's finicky like that.

Select the digitigrade legs and go into edit mode, then select everything up to here:

Separate this bit into a new object (P>Selection), then go back to object mode. Select the separated lower leg bit you just made, then select the lowest piece of the vanilla leg (select them IN THAT ORDER, very important), and hit ctrl+J to join them into one object. Go to edit mode for the newly joined leg bits, and delete the vanilla part, leaving only the lower piece of the digitigrade leg. If you've done everything right up to now, your mesh list will still look like this.

or whatever it looked like when you started, plus the one appended mesh.

Now go back to the main digitigrade mesh and select up to here:

separate it and repeat the process you just did, replacing the next leg segment up.

Now go into the topmost part of the vanilla shorts, and select only the leg part and delete it (it's almost always detached from the shorts in vanilla clothes and very easy to select, but with cc this might be a mixed bag and could take more time/effort to do). At this point you should have only the digitigrade leg and the shorts themselves.

You now want to go back to the uppermost section of the digitigrade mesh and delete most of the top part of it, trimming it down so that the leg ends just inside the shorts.

For a lot of shorts and skirts, especially shorter ones, this is all you'll have to do, but in this case I'm going to move those very top/front vertices back a tiny bit, just to make sure there won't be any clipping during animations. I also like to switch viewport shading back to material preview mode at this point to make it easier to see if there are any bits poking through that shouldn't be.

At this point you join the upper legs and shorts like you did with the other two segments (again selecting the digitigrade mesh first and the vanilla shorts second) and by the end your objects list should be back to this:

Now you're done, you can save and import to S4S. the digitigrade legs are already weight painted and have their UVs set up and everything so you don't need to do anything more to them, they'll just work, and as long as you don't edit the mesh or uvs they should blend seamlessly with the goat hooves and/or werewolf paws just like the naked leg.

Now do the same thing for the other three LODs. Maybe while singing a sea shanty to stave off the tedium (personally I like listening to podcasts while I do batches of these, it's kind of like knitting for people who love eye strain take breaks from your computer, kids).

S4S Categories/Thumbnails

The three main things you want to do with any digitigrade conversion are disable it for random, restrict opposite frame, and uncheck all occults. That should prevent any broken leg situations. Don't forget to apply to all swatches (I say this because I forget about 30% of the time and end up having to go back and fix it).

At this point, you don't have to do anything more. The clothes will function as they should in-game. If you want nicer looking thumbnails though, and you have the digitigrade werewolves override, there's one more thing I like to do.

Make sure all the thumbnails are blank and check only the werewolf occult in the categories tab, then save and load up the game. Find the clothing you just made in CAS (it will probably show up by default on werewolves of whichever gender you made it for) and cycle through all the swatches to generate new thumbnails that look like this:

Once all the thumbnails are generated, exit the game and export them all (if some of them appear blank, restart S4S and they'll usually show up), uncheck the werewolf occult, clear the thumbnails again, and re-import the werewolf ones. This ensures they won't randomly switch back to the human ones. And it's way faster and easier than making your own custom thumbnails with screenshots and cropping/editing, which is important if you're doing a large amount of these things.

And voilà, you've got your own digitigrade-compatible clothes. I'll be updating the tutorials as needed for clarity/any information I forgot to include, so please message me if something doesn't make sense or I need to go into more detail on something, and I'll edit it with more/better info. I also entirely learned this through trial and error, so if there's a better way to do any of it that you happen to know, tell me that too, this is just the best way I've worked out to do it.

Hey, just saw your ffnet post! While it's totally fair of you to not want to put your works on Ao3, I'd ask you to consider it. I've read a lot of fics, many that are years old, many that might be considered "cringey" or "bad", and many that had barely any views, and they all brought me joy. There's a special kind of grief I feel when I see that a fic has been taken down and deleted.

I do understand not wanting to upload this content as if it's what you're currently writing; Ao3 does allow you to backdate your works, so it wouldn't show up as recent but could have the original posting date. You could also consider setting up a pseud account on ao3, which allows it to be attached to your main but not explicitly your main, and have a note that this is a work that you're archiving from ffnet. It's kind of like having a sideblog on tumblr, except the links work better.

You don't need to decide right away; the "ffnet is going down" panic sweeps tumblr every few months and you likely have some time to figure out what you'd like to do. I just thought I'd reach out and share my thoughts. Your work is absolutely worth saving and sharing, in whatever capacity you're comfortable with, and I respect whatever decision you choose, but would also like to encourage you to be open to preserving your works for people to find and enjoy. You never know how much joy you could bring, even just to one person who finds your fics in the future.

It's fascinating, because I am a hardcore preservationist who can't get rid of a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g to save my life. I'm similarly bummed when people delete even the most minor things online. And I have no sense of personal cringe. I'll always cherish what projects I've done.

You'd think this would be an easy decision given my values.

The challenge with me here is that publicly posting fics online is more about preserving for others as versus preserving for myself, and I'm trying to decide if I feel comfortable putting my stuff up again for other eyes in any capacity. I'm glad people have gotten joy out of my fics and it does help me think this over more, though I'll admit I've always felt out of sorts, nakedly exposed, having my writing online (even though I wrote and finished fics FOR that Sense Of Others, a sense of obligation and promise, rather than for myself). Ficwriters post about the excitement of getting notifications, whereas for me, it meant going through anxiety every time. XD (but thanks to everyone who wrote the kind words!!! they did make me happy once I got through opening the notification. your kindness is why I wrote. and I am touched when there's the rare comment from 2022 that pops through.)

I realize this frames the situation as more "me-centric" than "giving others joy-centric." I don't want to come off as dismissive of others finding joy, because that's important. The smallest things can be the brightest. My mind has just moved on so much from my fics that I think in terms of "How can I give someone joy today?" in new ways. But you are framing it in terms of people getting new joy. So. That's a good point to mull over.

I've never gotten an account on AO3, so I won't need to think about making the "sideblog"-esque account (though that's fascinating to know about!!! that's cool! you go AO3 for being awesome). But GOSH your response being thorough has been the bestest thing, because I've never known about the backdating, either. That makes it more likely I'd consider moving fics onto AO3, because even writing a "hey this is old" in front of a reupload onto a new site still puts it as "new" in the feed and that makes me uncomfortable. Just quietly shifting it to 2014 when it was written feels more fitting.

I was definitely wondering how this current sweep of "FFN going down" was different than the ramblings that have been going on for years. I've seen recent posts talking about how FFN might not have been updated for one or two years, and that's the most explicit I've gotten. I've recently seen some posts say "just in case," which is more of what I thought it'd logically be. I tend to not believe "FFN is going down" posts because they're just people hashing out what they've said for years, and I want better proof. They're right the site is falling, but yeah. But since these "ending" comments have been particularly widespread all at once, I figure, "Eh, only takes a few minutes, better safe than sorry." But it's good to know your impression of the situation is similar to mine, and that this isn't something I have to resolve anytime soon.

I'm still reuploading shit on there, but that got me thinking. Yea, being multi platform is great, but sometimes it's just not worth it.

I tried using cohost and it was just pretty bland, mostly since the only thing I was shown was from people I followed, and yea that's generally a good thing, seeing some crap you are not interested in sucks, but I think it would need something like a "featured" page, or a "for you" page, so that I can discover some new people to follow. Other than that I was just seeing stuff I have already seen on other platforms, because I cross follow a lot of artists.

Artstation sucks massive ass with the AI crap and honestly, I'll be deleting my acc soon, (my portfolio will now sit on NG). The site is just fucking floded with AI, to the point I had to block every other person who followed me, because they had AI generated images in ther """""portfolio"""". Leaving DA for Artstation was a mistake.

I keep my IG acc because to a lot of my irl friends this is the only platform they use, besides, I had it for REALLY LONG, so even while posting shit is TEDIOUS af, and I constatnly get DMs from scammers I have some sentiment for it.

So far, Tumblr has been nice. It's way more interesting than twitter, there is a lot more stuff to read and I like it! That doesn't mean I'm leaving twitter. I'll just doesn't scroll it too much.

Anyway, check my NG! My soon-to-be full and up-to-date portfolio! I hope at least, The community seems nice :D

Late reply re: AnyTaur raw chicken creature, but i did get it to work and the forelimb locomotion is absolutely gorgeous! I cannot laud your framework enough for how well it manages to handle a diversity of bodyplans merely through tweaking with the script! holy shit! 10/10 would reccomend to anyone with a quad or taur they wanna skip around as in vrc

I'm apparently having problems with the chair/station for riding on the thing's back? I don't have any way to test it myself, but according to my friends, attempting to sit on the thing throws them off the map and into who-knows-where. if you have any idea why that may be happening..? idk a damn thing about stations in vrc, and worst comes to worst the option to turn off the chair works fine, so if this is actually probably just a me problem, no need to mull over it.

Additionally: the sit/lay/stand up poses in the radial menu seem to be Supremely Fucked. i know in some of your older YouTube anytaur videos,(back when the orrery appeared to be called helpers) there looks to be stuff like sit offsets and angles? is there any modern equivalent to that, or is sit like. automatically calculated from the leg chain response angles? once again not a huge deal because every other pose and option works wonderfully (including all the absolutely delightful dances, highlight of my life) and I don't see myself using stuff like the sit radial poses often, but I can't help being curious nonetheless.

Anyways. Thank you again for this tool; you really are doing witchcraft when it comes to this stuff and i cannot praise you enough. (I'll see to getting you a donation thru itch to express my gratitude more tangibly, as soon as I'm home and i remember to set up an account or whatever, because god damn do you deserve it imo. value of service or whatever.) Okay lol the chair I know exactly why and I keep forgetting it’s turbofucked. I just CANNOT get the script to autogenerate a working chair. What you’ll have to do is FIND the chair, and then fix it yourself; you need to refresh the enter/exit references I think? Right now it’s trying to reach back to an anytaur that doesn’t exist but you need to put YOUR anytaur’s references in there. That’s the basic issue. Bad references in the thing. It’s been a while since i looked at it so idk what they are just. fix all of them in the chair itself. which is in the Orrery somewhere??? Which is unnecessary??? But that’s where it is (for reasons) (irrelevant to you) (shapeshifting/legacy and organizational reasons). You could just put a permanent chair directly on your BEND bone yourself and be fine (or hind.spine if you want your passengers to have a slightly smoother ride).

Yeah your custom poses will have to be retailored per-avatar. I think the script TRIES to walk you through it but you may wish to simply remove menu references to them if it’s too much to deal with. Basically copy your working avatar, hide your original, use the script to put the copy in POSE CLONE MODE, and then you re-record the custom poses moving ONLY the poseclone .001 bones! Your real bones should move with the poseclone .001 bones so you can see what you’re doing; this is the purpose of POSE CLONE MODE. Once the existing custom pose .anim files have been recorded over to suit your particular avatar, you can delete the copied av and reupload your main one. It will use the anims you just fixed and should work fine. A note: all custom pose animations are ROTATION ONLY, except for iirc hind.chest and hind.hips, which DO keep position information, since the constraints to those body parts are parent constraints. These are also the main culprits in making you befuckt, especially hind.hips.

My 10 favorite things of 2022

10 - mcdonald's fan owns burger king in epic video

Sometime in 2018 I discovered the comedian/actor/writer Connor O'Malley's youtube channel filled with some of the best cringe comedy vidz I've ever seen. One of my favorites being "mcdonald's fan owns burger king in epic video" a pretty self explanatory video where O'Malley plays an angry McDonald's fan trying to fuck over Burger King and try to convince the customers to go to McDonalds. Around the time I discovered the video my friends had a little get together and I made sure to show everyone there the video, shit was just that good dude.

Unfortunately because there is this little scene where just a little bit of king of the hill porn is shown, I think it was hank hill wackin' his willy silly or some shit and because of that those FUCKERS at YouTube took it down, basically destroying the Mona Lisa of cringe videos. Now normally a video uploaded by a notable person getting deleted would be no big deal, it's like I was told as a kid "stuff on the internet lives forever" so I could probably just find a reupload of it on another site right? I ended up not being able to find any reuploads dailymotion, vimeo, or even porn sites.

Every few months something would come up that would remind me of this masterpiece and I'd start searching again, of course never finding anything except dead links, a single clip, and posts asking what happened to the video. That was until 4 months ago when I found this, some mad man actually had the full video and shared a full download. After 4 years I was finally able to watch one of my favorite cringe videos and brother it was even better than I remembered it being, if you're a fan of cringe stuff please do yourself a favor and watch it.

9 - Showa-Era Godzilla

As a teenager I started to notice a handful of people that I looked up to and thought were really cool mostly had a lot of the same interests, one of them being kaiju films. So sometime during Q1 of 2022 when I found out that almost every showa-era godzilla film was free to watch on YouTube I binged em with some of my friends.

Honestly the whole thing was a bit of a blur, like we were doing 2 or 3 a day for a week but I can say (with the exception of Son of Godzilla) they were all a really great time. If I had to choose a favorite I think Invasion of Astro-Monster takes it easy, small part because MF DOOM sampled it in the greatest opening track ever but, also because everything about the film is just so cheesy and charming, the costumes the sets just looking at it all makes me want to finally bite the bullet and make a cool low budget sci-fi movie.

I feel like I should explain the appeal of Godzilla since as an outsider I never really got it but I still feel new to being a fan and might not explain it the right way so I'll just say to check the films out yourself, aside from Invasion of Astro-Monster I also really fucked with Godzilla vs. Megalon and Terror Of Mechagodzilla. Godzilla vs. Megalon has Mr. Zilla himself teaming up with a neat lookin' robot Jet Jaguar and Terror Of Mechagodzilla has a great mixture of main character doing shit and big monsters fighting so nothing really feels like it drags on for too long.

8 - Norm Macdonald - Nothing Special

It's been too long since I watched it for me to really remember anything other than how much I enjoyed it so I'll just write down how I felt instead.

One thing I'm sure you've worried about is legacy, how you'll be remembered or if anyone will even care about your leaving. Something that really felt good about this comedy special was after the jokes were over we got a half an hour of Norm's comedy peers looking back at just what a funny and great person he was, a person who would hide his battle with cancer just so no one would worry. I don't really know what people think of me but I hope I end up being looked at the same way people look at Norm.

Oh also if you've never heard any of Norm Macdonald's comedy there are a whole lot of compilations of his stuff on YouTube, and also obviously this comedy special but I'm a bit unsure if this would be a good first watch since it's the last we'll ever get.

7 - King of Fighters XV

I've had a small problem with fighting games for the last 10 years, I love em but since I started getting into them there always felt like there was something off to where I couldn't fully click with one, like I could still enjoy the games I played like Street Fighter V or Tekken 7 but I just never felt like I got into a nice flow with them or if it was a game I clicked with it wouldn't last very long (R.I.P. MvCI)

Then late last year some friends were hyping up the next KoF game to me, I'd been burned in the past by taking one of their recommendations before so I wasn't super interested at the time then fast forward to February 2022 I was feelin pretty bored and decided to just say fuck it and buy King of Fighters XV and brother this shit just clicked instantly, the execution is a bit tighter than what I've gotten used to from modern fighting games but it all just feels so good I don't even mind when I accidently drop a combo. Oh my god and the characters fucking rule there is this one dude who has the Android 16 dunk and MvC ironman's unibeam. My favorite dude is the one who looks like a phone game icon and has a shit ton of grabs

This is easily the best fighting game of 2022, sadly the only bad thing about this game is the online matchmaking is pretty broken like the game plays like a slideshow with my friend who lives down the street but it plays perfectly with my friend who lives a few miles away. This game is a hardcore recommend if you're willing to risk the possibility of the online being dogshit with one of your friends.

6 - Zero Escape: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors and Zero

I've never really been a visual novel guy, the whole genre just felt like reading a book with extra steps. Then after trying to watch some stupid ass death game anime that just wasn't clicking I said fuck it I'll just play this to get my death game fix.

I actually tried to get into this game about 7 year ago? I remembered reading about it in Nintendo Power back in the day and decided to pick it up, unfortunately I tried playing it during a very stressful time and after playing the tutorial I put the game down intending to come back once things started to feel normal, anyways 7 years later I started up the PC port and had a lot of fun. The puzzles were clever and I had a great time trying to figure out if one of the characters were working behind the scenes of this death game.

I'd like to share more but I also really don't want to spoil this game so I'll just say "Snake" is the best character in the game :)

5 - Wolfenstein: The New Order

At the end of 2021 I was looking back at the games that releasing during the year and got really bummed, it really started to feel like games were just getting worse. Either stuff was coming out blatantly unfinished like Battlefield 2042 or It was just a flash in the pan game like Back 4 Blood or Halo Infinite that I couldn't even run on my little 1060. Games just started to feel so disposable and greedy, what was the point in installing the hot new thing when it took over a hundred gigs of space and wouldn't even last long enough to even be remembered? So at the start of 2022 I said fuck it I'm done with video games until I realized how boring life was so I said alright fuck it if the new shit sucks I'll just play the old shit.

I randomly decided to play Wolfenstein: The New Order and dawg this shit is one of the finest single player first person shooters I've played, everything about it was just so perfectly crafted. It's a game you can beat in a day and 100% in two, the guns and ammo is perfectly paced where I felt like I was always getting a fun new weapon to use on the nazis, and the story has just the right amount of silliness to keep my attention the whole time. If you felt the same way as I did at the start of the year please play it, or check out your backlog to find a gem like this.

4 - The Rehearsal

Have you ever wished you could go back in time and fix a mistake you've made? Well Nathan Fielder's The Rehearsal is sorta like that, Fielder being the absolute insane crazy person he is helps people rehearse things they're scared of doing, like in the first episode he meets a dude who lied about having a master's degree to his bar trivia friends and has him go through every possible scenario so he can confess to his one friend who he is certain will not take his lie well.

Some other stuff happens too, but this show left me fuckin' mouth agape in complete shock multiple times an episode and I don't want to spoil some of the absolute insane shit that happens in this show, so just trust me when I say this shit rules and you've gotta watch it, also watch Nathan for You if you haven't.

3 - Cyberpunk Edgerunners

Dawg, Edgerunners is the best animated project I watched in 2022. If you've watched it I don't need to say shit because you already know this shit rules, if you haven't watched it you should watch it. I think in the future when we look back at animation that dropped this decade we're gonna be remembering Edgerunners as one of the best of the 2020's. When I was watching there were just so many "holy shit this is so beautifully animated" moments, the story isn't anything super groundbreaking but god it's just so pretty and the characters are so charming.

2 - Pulp Fiction

Good Movie. Everything I want to say has been said by people way smarter than me so yeah, good movie is all that needs to be said from me.

I'm no Fantano so I can't really properly explain what it is that made me love this dude's music so much but I randomly stumbled upon him in March and he's slowly been growing on me more and more til I eventually ended up just playing all his stuff on repeat for days without listening to anything else. Instead of going on and on I'll just list some of my favorite for you to check out.

OK so. Quick thing <333

I might upload my fics on Wattpad ❗❗ I haven't used it in years, and will probably make a new account (people will never see my old 2018 fics <333) but. I do have a reason.

I have seen that peoples fics and stories have been getting reuploaded over there and stolen. Authors have taken credit for works that aren't theirs (not just the Encanto fandom, I've seen it happen with tons of other fandoms I'm in). I understand if people get permission and credit. But. Just stealing it is messed up. I've seen people on AO3 delete their fics for reason like this and it breaks my heart <\\33

ANYWAY yeah <33 I'll probably upload then over there soon, but only the ones that are either finished or are ip, like Cocooned. Again, just don't want someone reposting my stuff over there and claiming it as their own </33 plus I have been asked if my stories are over there, some people are more familiar with Wattpad than they are with AO3 which is completely understandable.

Mungojerrie already knew that he was neck deep in trouble. Maybe even buried completely. He knew he had messed up. He knew that he would be met with upsetness from his friends and family. It was easy to grasp, but still kind of a pill to swallow.

He still sat there, waiting. Jerrie would have gotten up and walk a shameful shuffle back to everyone himself, but with pain having an iron grip on his body, the small pool of blood from where he was laying earlier, and the fact that he wasn't even allowed to go anywhere, he could barely move.

However, more parts of him hurt more than others. His head hurt from worry, his heart from guilt, and put together, it made his injuries feel like nothing.

The only thing that seemed to put Jerrie at ease was that not every single cat would be at the junkyard. Even though he lived in Victoria Grove, he would be going to the yard so he could have his injuries tended (and a pretty good scolding, too, he thought.)

He waiting longer, until he heard someone approaching. He turned to looked, and his heart sank. They could not have chosen a worser cat to bring Mungojerrie back.

"So...Munkustrap...uhm, how have you been?" Jerrie asked nervously. Munkustrap did not answer and only looked ahead as he kept walking. Since Jerrie couldn't get up, Munk had to carry him home, which was not only super embarrassing, but incredibly awkward. Seeing the look on his face, Jerrie decided to keep quiet and say nothing else. The silence was deafening, and it only made him more nervous as he tried looking away from Munk as he could.

The silence broke, however, when a voice met his ears.

"I'm disappointed, Mungojerrie."

The calico, for a second, wasn't sure if Munkustrap had said anything. But he knew it was real, and he couldn't keep quiet any longer.

"Munk, I'm so, so sorry, please, don-"

"'Sorry' won't undo anything. I'm disappointed. You're better than this."

Mungojerrie felt his face redden. Why did he say anything at all? Why did he do any of this? Why did he keep messing up? What if this was the breaking point for Munkustrap, for everybody?

Munkustrap started talking again. "I'm not just saying that, Jerrie. You are better than this, and that is a fact. I am upset because I care, and so does everyone else. You cannot expect to keep doing this and not face consequences."

For some reason, Jerrie felt a fiery anger bubble deep within him, and he eventually blew up. "Of course I knew of the consequences! I said sorry, I won't do it again, I'm trying to-"

"No!" Munkustrap said, it now being his turn to blow up. "You can't just do this stuff, say you're sorry and expect everyone to forgive you immediately! You need to be better!"

"So you're saying I'm not good enough?"

"Of course I'm not! If I thought you weren't worth it, I would not get upset! And if you want out of this trouble quicker, then stop putting words in my mouth!"

Both toms became quiet. They were both too tired to fight anymore, and Jerrie only felt more pangs of guilt. After minutes of silent walking, Munkustrap sighed quietly.

"Jerrie, we're only upset because we care about you, and we all know you can be better. I'm upset because I love you. You also got injured badly. Do you know how worried I was?"

Mungojerrie didn't respond, trying to cool off so he wouldn't snap at Munk again.

"I love you so much more than you think, Jerrie. But you need to consider the feelings of everyone else. You put yourself in danger and caused a lot of trouble. Do you understand?"

The calico was quiet for a few more minutes. His face burned. His heart ached. And after one moment, hot tears pricked at his eyes and began streaming down his face. "I'm....I'm worried I'll do something that will cause you to hate me, Munku. I don't want you to hate me, I didn't mean to-"

When he felt his tears began to fall, Mungojerrie embraced Munkustrap and buried his face in grey fur to muffle his crying.

Munkustrap sighed again and gently rubbed the back of the cat he was carrying. His anger subdued for a moment, and he stopped walking when he saw the gates of the yard he watched over so well. Mungojerrie had grown quiet once again, and Munkustrap used one arm to push the gate door open so he could walk in.

Mungojerrie could feel eyes drilling into the back of his head as he was being brought in. He heard whispers, but couldn't tell what was being said.

Munkustrap sat Mungojerrie down, using what he could to tend at the injuries. Luckily, the bleeding had stopped long before he had even shown up to retrieve him, but he still bandaged his fellow cat's legs and torso.

After what could have been done was did, Munkustrap picked Mungojerrie up to take him to Victoria Grove.

When they arrived, Jerrie hugged Munk once again.

"Do you forgive me?"

"A little. The other cats will come around eventually, they like you too much not to."

"I love you, Munku."

"I love you, too."

Munkustrap gently placed the tom down on the porch of the house the family lived in. A bit reluctantly, since Mungojerrie would be alone, but Munk became less tense when he remembered Rumpleteazer would let him in.

"Goodnight, Jerrie." He said, embracing him one last time.

"Goodnight."

Mungojerrie laid his head down, and Munkustrap departed, looking back for a moment before walking more.

Sorta back on break + Plans regarding stuff after said break

Hiya. After working on and uploading my SITBC future AU thing for over a week now, I'm sorta back.

What has changed, and what will change?

When it comes to the production of my works, I've decided to not create and upload as frequently so they wouldn't be as rushed or repetitive. Instead, I'll draw and write whenever I feel like it, and upload if I feel satisfied or proud. I can't estimate how many times I'm going to upload each month, but do know that I would be able to upload something at least once a month.

For those who follow me on Twitter/X, I want to make a announcement regarding it. After the thought of potentially disliking some of my works in the future, I'm no longer going to be uploading my works on there. The sole reason being that the website doesn't have an option to “hide” the stuff I'm no longer want to show on my profile there, unlike Instagram's 'archive' and Tumblr's 'post privately' feature.

“Why not delete the works then?”

I won't go as far to delete the works and, if I want to show them again, go through the process of reuploading it. So I decided to simply not upload to Twitter at all to make things easier and more relaxing.

I will not delete or even private my Twitter, as I will still be active on here, either for DMs, retweets, or just plain viewing.

As for my other platforms, some things will change. My Instagram will be my main and I'll be most active here, especially with stories I'll upload quite frequently. Tumblr will be a similar case, but it will have some exclusive blog posts, thoughts and opinions, and updates (like this one). As for my Archive of Our Own and FanFiction.Net account, they will still be the place to upload my writing and not much will change.

So yeah, hopefully this details what's going to happen from this point forward.

yello, this is most likely going to be my pinned post, but this is a remake of my previous fnaf blog that was called @afnafblog

I'll probably reupload some art once I get get ahold of them.

I deleted the old one cause I was barely active on it, and I felt bad about it cause I kept getting likes n' stuff on my art and other posts, so I decided to just restart new lol

This blog is pretty much gonna consist of postings about my thoughts, my own retelling/au of the fnaf story, potentially some art (depends, i've been falling out of it lately), etc.

also I do not support any kind of homophobia, transphobia, terfs, proshippers, or any of that stuff. So if you do any of that, kindly turn away and don't interact with me lol

Hey Ray, I wanted to ask your advice if that’s okay (long story, sorry). I started rewatching a show yesterday (Shadowhunters, very entertainingly terrible if you’ve never seen it), and immediately got a hankering to reread an absolutely hilarious and emotionally gripping Shadowhunters fanfic that I’m subscribed to, which hadn’t been updated in years but that I’ve reread quite a few times (OFC twin insert, called “Shadowhunters: The Ever Chroncles”, the author was NoapologiesNoexcusesNoregrets, on both ao3 and fanfic.net). Their works are some of my favourite fanfics, and I remember laughing out loud so often while reading them.

I found the old update emails in my inbox, but discovered that the author not only deleted this fic but apparently their entire profile with all their other work. It kinda upset me, and I tried to see if maybe they had moved to a different website, but if so they are using a different username. I remembered the author deleting and reuploading some stuff before because they weren’t happy with it but people had asked them to put it back up, and I guess I should’ve downloaded the fic while I still could. I managed to find some chapters using the wayback machine on archive.org, and some more google searches led me to a DeviantArt account that posted the first chapter of the author’s twilight fic (that I also read and was still subscribed to) back in 2015.

I am considering trying to reach out to that account to see if they are the same author and if so, why they deleted their works and if they are available anywhere else, but I’m honestly still reeling from it being deleted. I’m also not even sure if it is the right person/they are still active on DeviantArt considering I can’t find the author anywhere else anymore. And if it is the right person, I don’t want to bother them if they deleted everything because of a negative experience or remind them of bad feelings or anything, since they must have had a reason to actually delete everything instead of just leaving it up but not updating anymore if they lost interest…

Do you know of anyone who might know why everything was deleted (if I remember right, they wrote in Twilight, Shadowhunters, HP, Doctor Who, and Supernatural fandoms)? As a fanfic author, would you be bothered by someone contacting you about deleted works? I’d really appreciate any advice!

I'll put it out there to see if anyone knows them.

Depending on the tone of the message it wouldn't really bother me but that's not a universal opinion.

Best advice would be to just be exceedingly polite and non-pressuring if you do reach out. I don't really see the harm in trying as long as you respect whatever response they give you.
