Area 51 (2005, Midway Austin)
Still an incredibly fun shooter today, it's aged really well! I love that they got quite a few big names to do voice work for the game, including David Duchovny, Marilyn Manson, Powers Boothe, and Ian Abercrombie.
I really miss this era of Midway Games..
If you're interested in revisiting the game, I would strongly recommend Lucas C's fixed up version (with working multiplayer!) available for free.

Don’t care about whatever MCU is doing now but I find it really funny that there’s been two major adaptations of Kang the Conqueror played by a black guy named Jonathan. Not complaining of course but it’s a funny coincidence. Real Doofenshmirtz two nickels moment. Marvel version of the Palpatine Ian McDiarmid/Ian Abercrombie thing.

CHARACTER OF THE DAY: Ian Abercrombie (1934 - 2012)
Ian began his career on the London stage as a boy during WWII and continued onto an illustrious career in radio, movies and eventually TV. But it was a 7 episode arc as the boss of Elaine Benes, that brought Ian to the appreciation of a new generation. His character in Seinfeld's odd habit of eating a candy bar with a knife and fork is still emulated today.

I know that Ian Abercrombie died and they needed a new voice actor but the fact that late Season 5/Season 6 Chancellor Palpatine is voiced by the very distinct and dulcet tones of Tim fucking Curry is nothing short of hilarious to me.

365 DC Comics Paper Cut-Out SuperHeroes - One Hero, Every Day, All Year…
August 30th - Alfred Pennyworth
A former secret agent for the British Government, Alfred Pennyworth relocated to the United States where he took up a position as butler at the prestigious Wayne Manor, looking after Thomas and Martha Wayne and their newborn son, Bruce. When Dr. and Mrs. Wayne were murdered, Alfred became Bruce’s guardian and supported the child along the path that would ultimately result in his becoming Batman. Clever, resourceful and entirely unflappable, Alfred proved an invaluable ally to The Dark Knight, aiding Bruce in his journey toward becoming arguably the greatest hero in the DC Universe. As he had for Bruce, Alfred also cared for Dick Grayson when Bruce brought him on as his ward and eventual sidekick, Robin. And this followed suit with each of the subsequent additions to Batman’s crimefighting family. Before long, Alfred found himself an essential grandfatherly pillar of support and guidance for numerous heroes. A host of different actors have portrayed Alfred in a number of movies and television shows; such actors include William Austin, Eric Wilton, Michael Gough, Michael Caine, Jeremy Irons, Douglas Hodge, Alan Napier, Efrem Zimbalist Jr., Ian Abercrombie, David McCallum, Sean Pertwee and Andy Serkis. The dutiful hero first appeared in the pages of Batman #16 (1943).
