We Are Ep.2 thoughts in chronological order

what peem did in the car trying to convince phum to part their ways is what the youth calls ✨a yap sesh✨ (he tried ig) (this is what this post is as well)

we're probably never seeing phum use those things he bought ever, he'll just keep hanging around in his engineer shirt

peem has so many ppl ready to square up for him including his auntie and he is recognised by tan as someone who loves his friends very much (which makes the fact tan has sold him away for time with his crush TWICE even worse lmao)

i don't really get phum's insistence on not telling anyone about being phum's "slave", not even tan who got him into the mess or his best friend but it's just his ego ig (aside from plot reasons)

i find pun more relatable now - tags along for the funsies and gets happy around fire

not convinced the beans and pork scene wasn't an ad but im not sure how cause i didn't clock any labels

the scene where peem brings in food and laughs with q feels like improv or breaking left in lol

fai missing cause of upset stomach might be some sort of foreshadowing and i'm a bit worried bout her

the professor is handsome <3 and could pas off as chimon's sibling in a show

q absorbing those noodles was very satisfying idek why lol

peem and q's friendship is in the background but the show still constantly makes it a point that they are really good and loyal best friends

i thought "oh theyre gonna make the sharing food a thing in the future" so when boys showed up i was like "ah, we're doing it immediately? bit boring" but then he didn't share!! joey never shares food!! i think he will in the future though, him being a foodie is a constant thing so i'm guessing we're using it as a sign of compromise in the name of love or smth

satang playing this type of character felt a bit much in the first episode but i think he's getting more comfortable with the role as the show progresses and it look more natural; i'm glad his character isn't the googly eyed mentee and he actually teases a lot and snaps back but knows when to stop playing because q isn't the most patient person. (matt having to jump in like "bro he's serious" was so funny cause i hadn't clocked that either hahah)

the way we can see q flustered at certain points but seemingly unbothered at others is fun because his reactions aren't entirely predictable at this stage as we're still getting to know him. also it's mad cute when he clearly doesn't know what to do with himself

idk how he hasn't asked toey bout why he's in art yet, ig they're just now starting to properly get to know each other

toey took one look at q's back and decided "that's a cool ass aura to base my entire future around!" and tbh that's very young adult of him

q regularly asking about peem's work being submitted, he's honestyly worried <3

the way i cheered for peem burping in phum's face and then went "oh he came back :(" bahah

phum is definitely already planning his day and schedule around peem, i don't think he'd ever tell his friends because he wants to actually keep it going so one of the reasons is to not run into his faculty friends including tan and the second is to have lunch with his unconscious crush AND I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS STUPIDITY

thought peem could overhear the convo behind the car and realise what he was exchanged for but nope, he just dipped; i think that might be a plot point for later

phum not knowing tan has a crush on fang is so weird cause he genuinely acted like he knew while taunting tan, i don't have an explanation for that

fang is their p'!! i was so conviced he was the little brother, ig because of his big round eyes and the way phum acted all protective (that just makes phum cuter tbh)

what is the age difference between bar owner and prof cause i ship it

it took me a bit to realise the nongs were there instead of the full arts gang and i was glad to see toey and q together (also the green sweater is beautiful on toey, hope it makes a comeback)

i was ready to believe fang had some sort of falling out with tan with the way he treated him but tan beaming and enjoying a dreadful setting (no talking, awkward sitting around in a bar with mid music and alcohol) shows that man is glowing just from being in fang's presence (i hope he reaches ridiculous levels of lame for him)

i was screeching when i realised where things were going with wasted peem and seeing him n the bench outside had me exctaticcc (ofc he didnt book a taxi. and ofc they cant just order one for him noww could they)

phum cockblocks but he kinda has to cause there's no reason for fang to be there otherwise; once the ridiculous proposition of him taking peem home comes up he doesn't really fight it at all - he wants to be with peem, sure, but i think he's also pretty okay with tan and fang being a thing

the way i was screaming "just buy the flowers rich boy!!! he wants to go home" and then the kid went to get more lol

ofc he couldnt just leave the flowers in the backseat, peem just has to have them in his lap.. and the seatbelt scene was so predictable but it's too much of a classic with all "figuring things out" parts of a romance that i can't complain

it makes absolutely zero sense aside from people liking people (cause fang knows what he's doing too) that phum would drive peem to his house - a place where tan has sleepovers at all the time and phum hasn't been to before. fang is his brother and they can sleep at the same place as well even if they don't live together but nope. also THAT CAR HAS EMPTY BACKSEATS, if phum wanted to he would've forced them to ride with him to keep an eye on tan

fang is probably planning to launch a big revenge attack on peem and that'd be so funny, those four can get way too entangled, i could get DRAMA out of their plans and schemes (this show is more hidden agenda than hidden agenda was)

tan's energy with fang reminds me of the duracell bunny lmao it's late at night and they've had a few drinks but his mind and body are all focusedon wooing fang (who is playing nonchalant but has probably had a crush on tan as well)

also no way he was just gonna leave tan on the street lol

toey and q aleady work so well together, toey knows his effect on q more or less and q doesn't shy away from being at least a bit vulnerable as of rn; i think they can be one of the best if not the best couple if they have a proper storyline; im certainly enjoying it the more than i thought i would

the fake blush on both toey and peem is ridiculous esp up close but ig they're cartoonishly drnk anyways

auntie took note and now doesn't do facemasks at night, otherwise it would've been an amazing first meeting

"he likes to whine" and she's the one who can't leave the room from complaining sm lol auntie is so cute

ahh, the mandatory "a look around the room shows me you're truly passionate about what you do and you're deeper than i thought" scene..thankfully he didn't mutter "you like painting this much, huh" to nobody cause i was ready to yell HES AN ARTS MAJOR like he kicked you in the balls for a reason doofus

theyre giving us so many closeups of these two and i keep thinking "this is so drama/y im embarrassed" but i have no shame, if it's fun it's fun (and it's pondphuwin, youre not gonna hear me complain about looking at pond's face for too long or from too close)

reaching out to touch his face was a bold choice thoughh i lost it

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

145,151 in eleven years... same as with drawing I don't post 90% of what I do lol whoops

3. What fandoms do you write for?

currently TES has been getting the gears going the most, but ER is my perennial love - and once in a blue moon I am compelled to do something TLU! SM is still very dear to my heart but I've been pretty dry on fic inspiration/drive for it for a while now :(

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

these are ALL OLDER PIECES haha so don't look too closely: it still burns - fluffy OPM piece for Knight c: what else can I say! too cold for you here and now - fluffy little Makoami piece (are you sensing a pattern already...) featuring terrible puns, because I have always loved characters trying to make each other laugh you do it for her (that is to say you do it for him) - another one written for Knight; OPM/SM crossover. with TWO chapters! left, left, left right left - introspective Romano piece re: arm. I actually now disagree with some character choices I made in this one so seeing it still getting attention has me like no... this doesn't represent me... Across the Western Ocean I Must Wander - Makoami pirate AU. also not a oneshot! (shock!) I don't think it holds up as well as I'd like, but the premise still compels me and there's some cute moments :'D still VIVIDLY remember being up late on a class night listening to one song on repeat while working on The Kissing Scene™

almost always! it may take me a bit sometimes, but I do try to make sure I do

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

frankly idek - being completely honest, "angst" just as a word at this point turns me off so immediately and so hard that I can't engage with the concept that way. I prefer endings with some hope, but I like some emotional complexity too! all my baggage about fandom and "angst" is for. ANOTHER TIME

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

again I'm not totally sure how to answer this one! I guess Ocean? doesn't get much more stereotypically happily-ever-after than "and then they ran away together the end"

8. Do you get hate on fics?

no, thankfully! I've gotten the occasional comment here and there that make me go "??" but more just sort of confusing, not malicious as far as I can tell lol

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

sdlkghlsj sex-repulsed asexual here and not for the first time I say: I am reasonably confident nobody wants me doing that. it can happen but offscreen to spare me the inevitable mortification... fade-to-black is about as far as we go in the House Of Mouse sorry!!

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I have before! it's not my preferred stomping grounds but I like a good one. I don't know about "craziest" but wouldn't do us any harm I think is probably the funniest of the handful I've shared (again: written primarily for Knight! warning that it is from 2016 LOL)

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

not to my knowledge!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

also not to my knowledge!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic?

yes! baby Mouse ran a fic awards "show" (in the written medium obviously) with a friend back in like 2010 or 2011 on FFN... it was loads of fun!

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

just one?? if I have to choose then: Lizzie & the Bald Boys... my little driftwood raft that I've finally convinced a handful of other people aboard c':

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Makoami Princess and the Goblin AU :( still means a lot to me but SM just hasn't been where I've been drawn to write for a while!

16. What are your writing strengths?

dialogue + characterization is most often what I get compliments on (<3) - I'd like to think I have a fairly decent hand for little meaningful details too, but I think these more often than not end up just being for my own benefit because I like my symbolism subtle aha

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

LONGFORM... plugging together things into ordered chapters and maintaining momentum over longer spaces is my greatest struggle. I've had to come to terms with the fact that I'm much more a sprinter than a marathon runner, and it's been very freeing letting myself step outside of needing all the surrounding context to just do things as I come to them and then getting to string it all into chronology via series ordering

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

done well I find it really impressive! it's very hard to do well though ahaha.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

without the context of "fandom", the first story I ever wrote was about the Boxcar Children hanging out with me at age 6 (the entirety of chapter three was all of us singing the alphabet together and it was narratively crucial that this happen. for some reason.). with the context of knowing about fandom though, Scooby Doo at 11-12!

20. Favorite fic you've written?

of what's posted: Ocean has a lot of personal meaning because it was the first multichapter piece I was able to finish in several years, but on a technical level I've been really proud of some of the more layered pieces I've been practicing in the last year or so: Thermal Equilibrium and skipping stones I think are good examples of that :')

I saw some posts about how about there is apparently a very vocal group of people who insist that enver gortash only likes monsters??? literally never saw someone say this as some written truth. I feel like it was related to your post about enver being monster lover but that was not something that hahaha enver only likes the slayer form and hates all others, so whats the issue??? people are trying to stir up some shit that does not exist

I looked at some of their blogs and there seems to be some same people who got their panties in a twist at discord of the potential of enver liking men and calling the dark urge "them" during act2-act3 transition.. now they also hate thought of enver liking non humanoid durge lol

The 'Gorty can't be gay' bit I know, saw that a lot back when Slithering Wet Malice got removed, but people have issues with him referring to Durge as them? That's likely just Larian making their and Isaacs's life easier by recording one line instead of 3 and messing with the dialogue tree even more. Would've expected people to be happy about that if anything but alas, the Internet is interneting again today.

Anyway, regarding the main topic, I think I know which post you mean. Honestly, idk if it was related to the Monster Lover post I made earlier, but I just choose to decide it isn't. If anything, I'm a very vocal Gortash x my elven little gremlins shipper, which is even more of a minority if we're being fair. Justice for elven Durges, elf durge tag literally doesn't even fucking exist on Ao3. Idek if there's any more high elf x Gorty ships being written for, if there are, I've never seen them. That's the real takeaway, the lack of elf love.

But I definitely have, during my online life as an avid Durgetash and Gortash lover, seen some discourse about how default Dragonborn x Gortash is beastiality and how any ship besides Gortash and default Dragonborn is invalid. So these posts exist and gain some traction, at least for a while.

Regardless, I think any durgetash ship is valid, and if anything, we need more of them cuz like, we all agree they had something. Whether it is default Dragonborn, a hot elven hunk or a cute tiefling lady. Gortash would fuck any quasi-deity that has an ounce of self-control and swings his way.

Also he'd fuck the Slayer. He's nasty and an aspirin tyrant, of course he'd fuck the avatar of a deity. And that's valid, cuz if you get the chance, fucking use it cuz you won't get it again. Can't change my mind about it. Live life and let em live, all that.

Okay so the only thing that actually does have a proper title rn is You Crave The Applause // Yet Hate The Attention because that one is out already 😅 Titles are something that usually only comes to me relatively late in the process, so all the other still run under stuff like "Wilmon Club Drabble" or "Vampire AU" or "sad Simon POV oneshot"

3. What tags or warnings will your / one of your wip(s) need if you intend to share it?

So for the next one that I will probably share I don't think there's gonna be any warnings tbh. So far it's looking like a maybe somewhat crack-y explicit one shot. Probably just a handful of sex acts to tag again lol.

The only one that will need some warnings is probably the Vampire AU (namely mentions of blood, minor character death, mentions of parental abuse etc.)

You’ve run off all types of men from different backgrounds, from CEOs to lawyers and more. Your techniques vary depending on the man, but the goal is always the same: scare him off from marrying you (but if he’s hot, let him stick around for just one night).

Kim Taehyung is no exception to this rule, at least not at first.

He’s an anomaly in the world of the wealthy, a self-made businessman. He’s a successful real estate agent with quite a knack for knowing what is worth investment and what isn’t. But with being a young and handsome bachelor comes the piranhas swimming around him, looking to further their existing business ties with a marriage.

Your father, who just recently finished a project with Kim Taehyung, is one of those piranhas.

So here you are, on a sweltering summer day on a yacht while noisy music plays in the background.

It’s a party to celebrate a successful business endeavour, but you don’t see anyone you know here. Kim Taehyung is known for being an eccentric rich person, going against unspoken rules to do what he wants. Everyone you see at this party is in their mid to late twenties, and few even look like business people. It just looks like a gathering of people Taehyung seems to like enough to celebrate his wins with.

Weird, you think. But not necessarily bad.

You walk up the short flight of steps to the top, where Kim Taehyung is chatting with a few friends. He’s tall and handsome, dressed in a loose floral shirt and shorts. You walk up in your floral dress, putting a smile on your face. “Hello, nice to meet you!” You say, catching the group’s attention. You do introductions with the people around you, who are all friendly albeit tipsy.

“I’m Y/N. I believe you heard—” You start.

“Yes, I heard from your father.” Taehyung says, not bothering to even take his sunglasses off to look at you. You fight the frown that wants to appear on your face. What? “You can get refreshments from over there, Miss Y/L/N. Thank you for stopping by.” Taehyung dismisses you, going back to his friends.

The others don’t notice, too busy chatting and drinking with each other. But you’re offended. As much as you despise marriage dates, you at least pretend to care about the person you’re talking to. Seeing Taehyung shut you down like that irritates you. Driving men off to protect your own ring finger is one thing, but being treated like you don’t even deserve someone’s time is just hurtful.

Having been dropped off at the port by your family chauffeur, you will likely be catching a cab home tonight. And since there’s an open bar here anyway, you decide to get a drink. If Kim Taehyung doesn’t want to marry you, then that makes your life easier. Or so you think, but the rejection tastes as bitter as alcohol on your lips.

Fuck him. You think. There’s definitely other guys here I can talk to.

You make your way over to the open bar and get comfortable. You order refreshments and a few drinks at the bar. Luckily for you, it seems like all the other guests started drinking earlier so there aren’t many people at the bar. No one bothers you as you silently deal with the rejection from Kim Taehyung. You know alcohol isn’t the healthiest way to deal with your feelings, but you’ve always been smart so you know when to stop.

You are tipsy but still in your right mind when a man comes to sit at the bar one seat away from you. He’s tall and handsome, looks like he could pass as a model or an actor or maybe both. He’s older than you, a couple years outside the comfortable five year margin you keep for one-night stands.

But there’s nothing wrong with a conversation, right?

“Hello,” You say to the man, who turns his attention to you. “I’m Y/N.”

The man smiles kindly at you. “Nice to meet you! I’m Seo Joon. Are you one of Taehyung’s friends?”

You feel annoyance creeping up at the mention of Taehyung, but it’s not like you can say no I’m his date, he’s just ignoring me. So you dance around the subject. “A mutual acquaintance. Yourself?”

“He’s a close friend.” Seo Joon says, and unlike most of the men at parties who say things like that, he seems to mean it. At least, his confident attitude and well-dressed demeanour tells you that.

You make small talk with Seo Joon, getting to know him a bit. He tells you he’s a close friend of Taehyung’s and an executive at the same real estate company. He sure talks like a real estate agent in your opinion, bubbly and knows where to draw the line in the sand. You can tell he’s not romantically interested in you from the get go, pulling back his wide smile just a bit when you tell him your age. But you still enjoy a polite conversation with the man, telling him about your major and things like that.

“Miss Y/L/N.” A familiar voice cuts you off when you’re telling Seo Joon a story.

You look up, unimpressed to see Kim Taehyung.

Seo Joon, who is also tipsy, smiles wide at Taehyung. “Hey, buddy! Want a drink? This is Y/N—”

Taehyung narrows his eyes when he hears Seo Joon call you by just your first name. “Sorry hyung, can you give us a second?” Taehyung asks without looking away from you. Then, he grabs your arm. “Can you come with me for a moment, Miss Y/L/N?”

You frown sharply, but follow Taehyung out of the bar and to a more isolated part of the deck away from the partygoers. “Miss Y/L/N. How old are you?” Taehyung asks in a tone that makes you think he already knows.

You frown. Why does that matter? “I’m 23.”

Taehyung clicks his tongue disapprovingly. “My friend is 32. That’s a 9 year age gap.”

You don’t quite follow since your mind is still fuzzy. Seo Joon hadn’t been creepy towards you and you honestly hadn’t been thinking about taking him home or anything. “I was just having a conversation with him.” You defend, although you don’t get why you need to justify anything to a stranger.

Taehyung is unimpressed. “My point is that it doesn’t look good for either of you. You might not know anyone here, Miss Y/L/N, but a lot of people here know you. I’m saying this because I’ve worked with your father and I don’t want you to feel embarrassed when you’re sober.”

You roll your eyes. “If Seo Joon is the one who’s 9 years older than me, why do you talk like the older one? We only have a two year age gap, you know.”

Taehyung sets his jaw. “I think you’ve had enough alcohol, Miss Y/L/N. I’ll get you a room to rest in.”

You’re about to protest when Taehyung just walks away like he expects you to follow without question. Irritated, you follow him.

Taehyung leads you down a flight of steps to a lower part of the yacht. He brings you down the hall to the final door and opens it for you. “You can rest here, no one will bother you.” He says, holding the door open. You glance inside at the dark wood and navy blue interior of the bedroom.

You feel shame bubble in the back of your throat. So not only does he hate me, he doesn’t want me anywhere near his friends? You think, glancing at Taehyung’s indecipherable expression. You’ve never had a man look down on you like this, treating you like a child in time out. “Thank you.” You whisper, stepping inside the room. You wait until the door closes behind you and Taehyung’s footsteps disappear down the hall. You wipe a stray tear from the corner of your eye and lay down.

You sit up, confused. You glance at the en-suite bathroom, where the shower noise is coming from. The bedroom door has been locked from the inside. You don’t remember doing that.

You get up, grateful you hadn’t drank enough to have a headache. Afternoon naps are not your thing and drunk afternoon naps are a brand new experience altogether.

The bathroom door opens to reveal Taehyung, standing in a black bathrobe. “Hello.” He says, expression unreadable as always. He towels his wet hair with a black towel, walking over to you but still keeping a polite distance. If this were any other man, you would’ve already ran out the door considering the red flags. You hesitate, but then sit down on the bed. Taehyung sits a respectful distance away from you. “While you were asleep I gave your father a call saying our date didn’t work out.” Taehyung says, tucking the towel around his neck. “So you can just rest until we head back to the dock, which should be in a couple hours.”

You don’t say anything for a moment. Taehyung takes that as his cue to go back into the bathroom, but before he exits, you speak. “You didn’t even give it a chance.” You say.

Taehyung turns back, frowning. “What?”

You look him in the eye, glaring. “You didn’t even go on an actual date with me. You just… dismissed me.”

Taehyung notices the hurt on your face even though you try hard to hide it. He returns, sitting down on the bed. He chews his lip for a moment. “I don’t believe in marriages of convenience, Miss Y/L/N.” Taehyung tells you outright.

“I don’t either, Mr. Kim. But at least I don’t treat people like they're worthless.” You retort, glaring at him. You hate petty arguments and being disrespected, so you get up to leave. It’s obvious enough that Kim Taehyung pities you as merely the rich daughter of his business partner. You don’t need his pity, you know your own worth.

“Y/N.” Taehyung addresses you without honorifics. You freeze.

Taehyung comes over to your side. Seeing hurt in your eyes, he softens. “Hey.” He says softly, guiding you to look at him. You look up, still glaring. “Is that how I came off? I’m sorry.”

You roll your eyes. “Whatever. It’s fine.” You try to free your hand from his hold.

“No, it’s not fine.” Taehyung holds you tighter. “Can we sit down and talk about this?” He asks, craning his neck to meet your eyes.

“There’s nothing to talk about. You’re just an asshole.” You mutter under your breath.

“Excuse me?” Taehyung bristles. “I’m not an asshole.”

“Yeah you are.” You snap, your ego flaring up at his show of pity. “A girl comes all the way to see you at your party and you can’t even properly talk to her. God, what are you, a virgin?”

Taehyung’s gaze darkens. “No, I’m not.”

You scoff, unlocking the door to leave. But when you open it, Taehyung’s hand comes from behind you and slams it shut. You feel his back press against yours.
