HC that Jason and Dick have very different strategies for handling Tim's repeated jokes about killing himself.
Jason: "Why don't you just stay out of this one, Dickhead? Let the kid make his own decision."
Dick, kicking Jason: "Tim think about the consequences--"
Tim, more annoyed by the conversation than anything, slumped on the table: "The whole point is that there are no consequences."
Dick: "--if you killed yourself, you'd violate the no-killing rule and Bruce would revive you to be disappointed and make your life miserable."
Jason, to Dick: "You're such an idiot."
Tim: *bursts into laughter*
Alfred: *booking therapy*

Nap Time
Eternal Servants AU belongs to @emelinstriker
Scenario: Reader wants to sleep. Needs to have their favorite fur covered boys to sleep well.
You were lying down, trying to go to sleep. And yet it elludes you like water from a ducks back. You knew you were tired, yet your mind refused to turn off in order for you to get your REM sleep.
You finally breathed in and give a sigh of defeat. Lifting your head from the pillow and looked up. "Guys? Could you-?"
"Yes Master!?" Macaque knelt before you, at eye level where you were lying in the couch. You stared at him. Bemused at his speed. "Can i ask you, Wukong, and MK to come here for a sec?" That order request did not take long to be fulfilled.
"Is there something we can do Master?" MK asked, looking up at you. "It's not a big deal, just a lil thing." You assured the three monkey champions kneeling in front of you. " Um... Can I ask you guys to just... Lie next to me? Like. One on each side? I'm more used to my cats lying next to me while I go to sleep and uh..." By the look on their faces, they could feel your sorrow from missing your pet. You took in a deeper breath, held in your chest as you tried to speak. "I just need some company while I go to sleep."
" of course" you were so tired you couldn't tell if it was Wukong or MK saying this. You knew it wasnt Macaque since he wad always so loud and eager to please you. Eventually you felt Wukong on your left and Macaque on your right. Both nuzzling into your shoulder and side respectfully. MK was clinging to you while burrying his head into your chest. Right over your heart. All of whom had their arms wrapped around you ans their tails wurled either around your legs or your waist. It was... Soothing. In no time your eyes closed, and you drifted off to sleep. Feeling comfort in those around you.
And when you felt Wukong place a kiss on your head, it was over. You heard his voice before going straight into dreamland. "Have a good night Master."

I know I said I wanted to do Loveit Mappi (and I still plan on it!) but it was indulgent Fuuta art that finally broke my art block so. Ver with mv references, and under the cut one with Loveit/Salamander lyrics🍴

atsushi seeing dazai as a good guy, actually (underneath all the annoying/bizarre antics) is always interesting to me because i think it can come across as naive, sometimes, because we know that dazai is generally a pretty terrible human being with a broken moral compass and a body count in the hundreds so we’re like damn, really atsushi? this guy?
but atsushi doesn’t have the perspective of the audience, and he hasn’t personally seen that side of dazai. he hasn’t seen how dazai acted to akutagawa how akutagawa acted to kyouka (ah. the cycle of abuse). atsushi knows that dazai is ex-mafia, that he’s capable and willing to do terrible things, but he doesn’t know the specifics or the extent, nor has he seen any of it personally.
atsushi has never been an altruistic hero. he’s never been determined to save everyone. kunikida told atsushi that the ada weren’t heroes and that they can’t be heroes when he was trying to save kyouka, but atsushi wasn’t really trying to be a hero. he wasn’t driven by some moral need to save people, or even by simple compassion. there was compassion, but part of why atsushi needed to save kyouka was because he saw himself in her. he could not see his own worth in himself, could not see if he had a “right” to live, to exist, to take up space. he saw himself mirrored in kyouka, and he was compelled to rescue her largely because of his own sense of self depended on proving that people like them could get second chances.
atsushi does not want people to die, but he’s willing to overlook things that people have done in the past if there is a personal connection, if he can relate to them. he sees akutagawa initially simply as violent, as a danger to himself, and responds defensively to akutagawa’s hatred of him, but he only starts to truly dislike him once he realizes his connection with kyouka and sees him as kyouka’s abuser. he didn’t like akutagawa, because he’s obviously not going to like someone who is hacking off his limbs and trying to kill him, but his initial reaction is more fear than hatred. he doesn’t want to fight back, he wants to stay the hell away from this weirdo. after meeting kyouka though, atsushi’s perception shifts. he begins to actively dislike him, and when akutagawa pushes, atsushi has to push back.
it’s only in season 3 when atsushi starts to realize that akutagawa is not too dissimilar from him and that perception shifts. akutagawa is as haunted by dazai as atsushi is by the headmaster. they’ve been able to work together before that, but the way they work together shifts after that revelation from “we’re beating up the same guy and are kind of weirdly in sync accidentally” to actually melding their abilities in an act of trust and intentional cooperation. he tells akutagawa to stop killing people. he might not be able to accept someone who is actively and currently a murderer, but he is able to overlook it if it’s in the past. he did it with kyouka, he did it with akutagawa and he did it with dazai.
this post took something of a detour, but the point is that atsushi sees things through the lens of his own abuse. dazai is a representation of escape from that life of abuse, giving him a place to live and a people to belong to. atsushi’s entire life changed when he pulled dazai from that river. and sure, maybe he’s frequently getting stabbed or having a limb chopped off these days, but he’s also been able to learn how to be more confident, and has started to accept himself and his past and move forward with it. he’s started to accept the tiger and to believe that he does have a right to live, that he does have worth.
not only that, but dazai tries to be there for atsushi. dazai is not necessarily an empathetic or even sympathetic person, but he’s trying to be good and to be on the side that saves people. he’s the one who finds atsushi when the headmaster is killed, and while he’s not comforting, what he says makes atsushi feel that he has permission to grieve this man who hurt him the way that he needs to. atsushi sees dazai as a decent guy, actually, because dazai is decent to him. it doesn’t matter to him that dazai has killed before, because that’s in the past and it’s disconnected from him. in the here and now, in what atsushi can see, dazai is someone who has helped him. dazai is someone who is on his side, in a way that no adult had ever been in his life.

alright. look, we're going to go into this because i genuinely want to think you didn't mean harm by this, but it's unacceptable to use this sort of manipulative phrasing. especially with strangers, some of whom are kids.
this is not a call-out. i've hidden all names except my own. i just need to address this post i was tagged in, and don't want to add it onto the end of the original post. i could also have done this privately, but i want this to be here for the other folks who were @'d. i won't @ anyone else who was mentioned in this post, but many of us are mutuals, so if you see this post and you're feeling at all stressed out or bad, i recommend just clicking through because i'm going to go into this.
firstly, and i'm going to make this transparent, person who @'d me: i don't think you're being malicious or did anything purposefully bad. i don't think you intended harm or that you are "a bad person". i don't have a single negative thought about you as a person. i don't make this post to be mean. i truly think you made an earnest mistake that could easily have hurt others, and i am stepping in with the hope this can be avoided in the future! per my usual boundaries on reassurance seeking, i will not reassure about this further.
secondly, the post that you tacked this onto IS important and a helpful resource, and it is great to bring attention to it. we should be doing everything we can to not only defend against, but actively fight back against generative AI. many people cannot access the most commonly recommended tools (myself included), so a resource like this is fantastic and i'm glad to learn about it and share it! i don't speak for anyone else, but i've said before that i personally don't mind being tagged in resources that could help me or others and i'm usually happy to share them, especially if i think the latter
but, assuming that you are genuinely well meaning and don't know better, you need to know that this is not the way to go about it. i don't mean mass-tagging, which is fine in times like this imo, i mean your written add-ons that actively guilt trip every single person you tagged.
"if you weren't convinced by the idea of being a good person" and "I do hope anyone I @'d isn't a bad person" in particular.
you may not have realised, but these are profoundly manipulative and cruel things to say. regardless of how you intended them, they are inciting guilt in the reader, and especially in the people who you actively called to come and look at it. here's what it sounds like:
"hey! you! yeah you! come look at this!! come closer! now, do what i ask you to do, or you're a bad person."
there are a million and one reasons someone might not reblog something. being tired, offline, anxious, even needing to run a specifically professional blog with exclusively your art on it for your own financial survival which makes it hard to reblog important posts like this; none of those are bad.
in this case, only one thing makes them a "bad person", and it's "they're pro-generative AI and did not reblog because they want to hide this information to ensure they can continue stealing from creatives".
i'm fairly confident you don't actually think anyone you tagged here has that point of view, or that you really have any doubts about their stances on generative AI. in fact, of the folks i recognise here, they're all independent creatives, sharing artwork with fandom for free on the internet. they are the victims of generative AI, and like most of us, are facing a terrifying future and are already desperate to find a way to defend/fight back.
you do not need to use manipulative language like this to get us to care about this sort of content! this affects us all, content creators and content consumers alike!
in future if you want to direct folks to something like this, which is super helpful and it was good of you to do!, you can just @ them so they see it. you can even say something like "this is important and some reblogs would sure help to boost it!". this is still a call to action, but without the manipulative phrasing, just in case they cannot act for any reason.
in the end, guilt tripping people like this, intentional or otherwise, is dangerous.
at best it will make them feel like shit and they'll feel forced to reblog + share from you out of guilt rather than just believing in the cause. and sometimes it feels like it's most effective, especially when things are urgent; but in my opinion the risk of harm is just too high. because at worst, you could accidentally send someone into a negative thinking spiral. you can never know what people are going through offline, or outside of your spaces, and how something like this will hit them.
