"Hello." A dull thwack sound reverberated across the rooftop, leaving the boy who snuck up on Red Robin clutching his head. The boy, a meta if the large animal ears and tail were anything to go by, shook off the pain and pouted up at him, "What was that for?!"
The vigilante was unrepentant, holding his bo staff in a ready position, "You snuck up behind a vigilante at night. In Gotham."
"Okay," the meta conceded, still pouting. "You have a point there. Robin threw ninja stars at me when I tried to approach Batman."
That got Tims attention, "You tried to approach Batman? Was there something you needed?"
The kid suddenly got serious, "My mom went missing. I haven't been able to contact her for almost two weeks now."
Red pulled his arm closer to his face before he began typing on his wrist computer, "Can you tell me her name and date of birth?"
"Um." The other teen fidgetted with his tail a bit, "Okay, so...she's kinda Cheetah."
"...come again?"
"She's Cheetah. The...the supervillian."
Red Robin stared at him, and honestly who could blame him? The bats hadn't even known Cheetah had a son. "So why are you in Gotham? Why not ask Wonder Woman for help? Cheetahs one of her rogues not ours."
The teen shook his head, "She went to meet someone in Gotham before she disappeared. She seemed really agitated before she left, almost scared. I've never seen her like that before." He paused, giving the vigilante time to type before continuing, "I didn't go Wonder Woman since I figured I would wind up needing to talk to a bat anyway since its your turf and all." He said, waving a hand as if gesturing to the city around them.
"I wasn't aware Cheetah had a kid."
The meta grimaced, "she didn't until a year ago."
Red gave him a look, as if urging him to go on.
The meta chuffed, sounding a lot like whatever big cat he was supposed to be, "I'll only tell you my tragic backstory if you promise to help me find my mom."
"I'll find your mom." The bird said without an ounce of hesitation. Tim was a little offended. Did this guy think he was going to leave his mom in danger just because she was a criminal? Appearently so, seeing as the teen looked so relieved at his words.
"Okay, so my bio parents were evil mad scientists. Always a bad start, anyway they were obsessed with the occult and one day they suddenly took me and my sister to Brazil to hunt for some artifact of another. That alone was strange but weirder still was the fact my creepy godfather was paying for it all. He usually only does something like that when he's plotting "
"Plotting?" The detective interjected, "you make it sound like he does that often."
"Yeah. Hes a supervillian." The meta said casually, as if he didn't just leave Tim reeling, but the kid wasn't done yet, "He's had a massive crush on my bio mom since collage and never let it go no matter how many times she rejected him. She even married my dad, his best friend, and this dude just kept simping for 20 years." The teen rolled his eyes, "Hes convinced himself that if he murders my bio dad then my bio mom will fall in love with him and me and jazz will be "his"." He said that last part with fingerqoutes and a disgusted expression.
Tim filed that away for later, "Can I have his name, if nothing else?"
The teen seemed reluctant for a moment, "You're the worlds greatest detectives. You'll find out even if i try to hide it. Besides, I'd probably be better off if you and the Justice League know everything anyway."
Tim was...surprised by that. Most people usually weren't this open with them.
"His name is Vlad Masters, he also goes by Plasmius when he's dressed like a wannabe vampire. He's a ghost who's repossessed his corpse. My parents are Jack and Maddie Fenton, who are obsessed with ghosts and have convinced themselves that all ghosts are evil and must be destroyed, regardless of how much evidence points to them being wrong."
"And your name?"
The meta grinned at him, showing off four very sharp fangs, reminiscent of the large cat he takes after, "You can call me Jaguar. We were exploring a bit when I broke off from my family and got jumped by one of them. Suddenly I was struck by a claw and turned into furry bait. Fluffy stopped trying to make me his lunch and just stared at me before walking away, which was wierd. Then my parents found me, accused me of being a ghost, because thats naturally what someone would assume when thier son sprouts cat ears," he said while rolling his eyes.
"Naturally." Red joked, which had the benefit of making Jaguar smile.
"So my parents chased me through the jungle, shooting all the while, then suddenly a portal opened up in front of me. I'm not stupid, I know there was no way this wasn't a trap. I mean, a portal opening up right after that bizarre series of events and its the same shade of glowing green as the wierd death go my parents are obsessed with? There's no way they weren't related somhow, but I was desperate and jumped through anyway."
"I landed in another jungle, or the same one in a different location, I'm not sure. I tried hunting and foraging but wasn't very successful at either." Danny still remembered the throbbed in his head when he had headbutt that tree after missing his pounce on that pig he had been stalking. "Thats when Cheetah found me. She took me in and taught me to hunt and fight."
-----
Possible plot twists:
1. Danny isnt Phantom in this au
2. Danny is Phantom in this au but is trying to leave that life behind
3. My favorite. Danny has the ability to manipulate and control animals into doing his bidding with the effect of jaguars and other big cats being the most prevalent and he just doesn't realize it.
One of Cheetahs friends/allies realizes cheetah has changed and suspected something and convinced her to leave for a while to see if her care for this kid faded after a while away from his presence. It works and Danny loses another parental figure/possibly attacked by them too.

The only reason Sanji noticed ZORO was flirting with him is cause Zoro literally went "we are getting married" and Sanji went like "???? We aren't even dating wha-" and then Zoro "well now we are". Like Zoro and Law might have the tisms but Sanji has the whole mental illness package this man is nawt noticing anyone tryina hit
Lol Sanji's got so many problems he sometimes can't even tell if someone wants to be his friend. But I think biggest reason why he never realizes dudes are flirting with him is because they're guys. Like if it's a woman he will catch on at some point (though when he does he refuses to really believe it because there's no way a goddess is gracing him with attention. And he doesn't deserve it if she is.) But if it's a man he's it either just never sinks in that he's being hit on, or he's probably going to shut it down. Even though Sanji is attracted to men, he still absolutely despises them. He is also in denial that he is in any way appealing to anyone and cannot fathom someone looking at him and thinking 'yeah I wanna tap that.'
Personally, I think zosan's relationship started out as a really dysfunctional fwb situation. Zoro never thought about any type of love before the Straw Hats, he had connections with people, sure, but he didn't understand fully what they were or what they meant to the other person. Love is the last thing on his mind. When he's hitting on Sanji it's always sexually charged and while he says shit that is romantic he doesn't realize how it's going to be perceived or that he even means it in that context.
Sanji does understand at least somewhat how love feels and how relationships are supposed to be, but he's a total homophobe for a while. And it's not gay if it's with your crewmate, that's just two guys helping each other at sea. So even though they're fucking Sanji thinks even the thought of loving Zoro is 'disgusting'. They have this really weird dynamic going where Zoro is incredibly open about his desires but doesn't think about love and Sanji just can't admit that he likes men but wants so desperately to be loved by the one in front of him.
So anyway, I don't think it's Zoro that's saying 'hey we're getting married.' It's more like Sanji gets to a point where he can accept himself and gets tired of how stupid Zoro is so he goes 'omfg can you just say you love me already.' And then Zoro is like 'oh is that what this feeling is?' And then Zoro is like 'Okay then I am now never leaving you and we are husbands and you have to be with me until the day you die.'

A/N: more Bale!Bruce!!! I love writing for him, thank you so much for requesting <3 I might have little surprise planned for all of the Bale!Bruce lovers hehe 👀
~Fi 🐝
Part 1 ♡
Bruce secretly being in love with assistant!reader ♡
°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°
◇First of all,
◇We all know his smooth talking is immaculate, he's Gothams playboy, a flirting legend.
◇With you, though?
◇Yeah, no chance.
◇He's stumbling over his words, blushing.
◇He's a mess, basically.
◇Because he actually cares what you think. He wants to impress you, not with his money or status, but with his personality.
◇That has never happened before. It scares him a little, but he can't help but smile a bit at your influence on him.
◇Also, he cannot stop looking at you. He's admiring you every second.
◇He doesn't get any work done, he almost messed up the biggest deal Wayne Enterprises had ever gotten just because he thinks you're pretty.
◇In his mind, you're already married and have 3 kids together.
◇He probably bought the ring already.
◇Bruce regularly buys you flowers, expensive chocolates, like he does not hold back.
◇But, he is very possessive, you're his, whether you know it or not.
◇He's very convinced you love him too, why would you smile at him so sweetly, or always make sure he's okay if you weren't?
◇He would never make you uncomfortable or cross any boundaries but god, he would have you sit on his lap every single day if he could.
◇Everything's going well, he watches you from afar, his eyes are basically hearts at this point.
◇That is until he sees you talking to some guy named Jake, who apparently also works here, and he makes you laugh just a little too much for Bruce's taste.
◇He should be the one making you laugh and smile like that, not some guy who's been trying to get in your pants for months now.
◇You don't get the hint though, you just think Jake is a nice bloke who's actually interested in working here, and with you.
◇Bruce sees through that immediately and it makes him scowl.
◇Why would anyone do that to you? You're so lovely and perfect, that Jake fella doesn't appreciate you. He doesn't deserve you.
◇Bruce knows he's better in every way, he could buy you whatever you want, you'd never have to work again, but most importantly, he would love you.
◇Truly love you, like a beautiful woman like you deserves.
◇He definitely intimidates and threatens Jake behind your back. He would love to do it in front of you, but he's worried he'll scare you away.
◇Bruce makes a final statement by moving your desk into his office permanently.
◇Jake still tries to get laid, and Bruce is about to actually punch this fucker if he doesn't stop.
◇Apparently threatening to fire him didn't do the trick.
◇He calls Jake to his office once you're on your lunch break and just straight up tells him that you're his and that if he doesn't stop trying to fuck his woman, there will be unpleasant consequences.
◇"Hey Bruce, have you seen Jake lately?"
◇"Hm? Oh, he moved so he had to quit."
◇He's so in love with you it's actually insane.
◇He's so bad at hiding it too, it's like all those years of playboy experience disintegrate once he sees you smile.
◇He lays in his bed at night, thinking what it would be like of you were there with him.
◇Then, the images of you talking to other men and smiling take over his mind and his blood is boiling.
◇You're not allowed to talk to any other men besides Alfred, Lucius and Gordon.
◇Would he ever tell you or act on that?
◇Absolutely not, he know he doesn't own you.
◇He'd just preferred it if you didn't.
◇He snapped one time and kissed you in front of the whole company. It was a rough and hungry kiss, but it didn't lack gentleness.
◇Bruce disappeared into a hole of shame for a week. He definitely crossed a line, he shouldn't have done that.
◇He has to come back to work at some point, so he does but he immediately wants to sink into the ground once he sees you.
◇That's until he sees you.. smiling?
◇You're all excited to see him back and you tell him that you missed him and he caves.
◇He confesses his love to you in a 10 minute rant about how amazing and perfect you are (and how stupid Jake was) and you're just standing there dumbfounded.
◇Yeah, he kissed you, but given his past you didn't actually think that kiss meant anything to him.
◇It meant the world to him and he literally couldn't stop thinking about it. Or you, for that matter.
Some NSFW~
◇He also had this dark and twisted fantasy of fucking you in front of everyone so they'd see you're his and no one else's.
◇He's a little ashamed to think of you like that, but he can't deny that the thought gets his dick hard.
◇When a some guy checks you out on the street, you're in for something.
◇He won't ever, ever take it out on you because how is that your fault that some men are pigs?
◇He'd make you come extra hard, just so you know he's the one who made you feel that good and, come on now, those other dudes could never make you feel like this.
◇He definitely needs you to tell him that you're his, despite his confidence I believe he's a little insecure just because he never had anything real before.
◇Bruce is on his knees, eating you out until you see stars and he looks up at you and just asks "you're mine, right?"
◇low key gets kinda subby, he needs you to assure him so bad.
◇You're just nodding eagerly because that's all you can muster the way he's fucking his tongue into you.
◇"Good."
◇It's a low vibration in his throat and all that insecurity and unsureness just evaporates.
◇He's always so loving during sex, especially after incidents, like this one.
◇You're both smiling and making each other feel good and loved, and he's definitely the one for you, as you are for him <3

Marrying Daemon was the dumbest thing she could have done. It solved no problems just made the existing ones more glaring.
First, if Laenor had been alive the Driftmark succession would not have been brought into question (Yet, it eventually would have always) as after Corlys, it goes to Laenor. It would’ve freed up some years or decades and Luke could’ve idk- actually gone to the fucking island he was set to eventually rule over or learn to sail. Maybe endear himself to some more people because as much as certain viewers like to pretend otherwise, Corlys was the only Velaryon happy to spit in the eyes of his ancestors sit that boy on the Driftwood throne.
Two, Viserys would not have had to use his last breath and final braincell to go to the throne room to help Rhaenyra usurp the Velaryons. He probably would’ve lived a little while longer and maybe this time he would’ve died quietly without uttering nonsense about a prophecy the Targaryens should not have even been involved with in the first place.
Rhaenyra could’ve maybe got her shit together and stopped living in a lalaland where she thought she would just be handed things because she’s *checks notes*
-A Targaryen
-She has a Dragon
-Daddy said so
But we know she wouldn’t, the entitlement runs deep. She would’ve stayed on Dragonstone where she’s ruling over a castle of employees sworn to her and a small merchant/fisher’s village. Rhaenyra lived in bliss on that island for a decade with no responsibilities.
Three, when you raise the Strong boys alongside their brothers and especially alongside Rhaena- who is literally a Targaryens/Velaryon child who is what the strong boys are actually supposed to look like, it becomes so obvious that the boys are bastards of non Valyrian parentage.
The only one who won in this arraignment was the Child groomer. He got the woman he spent years grooming as a child and he got a heir and a spare. Let’s pretend in a fairytale world where the Greens don’t crown Aegon and they slink off to whatever corner of the world TB think they deserve to after Viserys dies. The history books would write about the series of freak accidents that took Rhaenyra’s first 3 sons until Little Aegon was the heir.
Tumblr media
i honestly don't have anything to add anon. 100% agree with everything you've said.
rhaenyra is a horrible politician. her marriage to laenor kept the velaryon alliance and secured driftmark for her son. if laenor was alive, vaemond wouldn't have called for a petition, and rhaenyra wouldn't have to marry the strongs to the dragon twins. she could've arranged for marriages with other important houses like baratheon or lannister and win their support. also, by having legitimate sons with daemon she harmed jace, Joffrey and luke's legitimacy and position. especially jace.
your point about the strong boys parentage being even more obvious next to baela and rhaena is sooooo true. as if they didn't already stand out enough, raising them alongside the velaryons that they're usurping is ridiculous.
i really don't understand the people that are saying that rhaenyra is a good ruler because she managed dragonstone. dragonstone is a little island with a couple of villages surrounding it. you can't possibly compare it with ruling SEVEN KINGDOMS. (and even dragonstone turned against rhaenyra in the end, but i digress) rhaenyra thinking she's prepared to rule shows just how clueless she really is (she even says in ep 8 she doesn't know anything about ruling a kingdom lol)
i don't think that rhaenyra's decision to marry daemon was necessarily politic. i mean yeah he's a dragonrider and a soldier, but his loyalty was never an issue because he would never never never NEVER side with the greens (aka otto). the marriage def did more harm then good for rhaenyra, and the main benefactor was daemon.

Keep Thinking About Gale x Single Mom!Tav
Tumblr media
A/N: Shout-out to @leighsartworks216 for letting me ramble to them about it. I just need to get all this stuff rattling around in my brain out.
I know, I know, Gale repeatedly says he's not father material, but have you considered that I want him to be a dad anyway and it's cute
So in my brain this single mom is named Gwen (Guinevere); a half-elf, wild magic sorceress
She came from a fairly well to do family, married a handsome and acceptably rich merchant and soon had a child on the way
Problems came when she gave birth to a healthy baby girl, who also happened to be a teifling
Seen as a bad omen, both her family and husband wanted her to give up the child, she refused causing her husband to leave her and her family to reject her
She didn't let that stop her though and soon she found a new home for her and Clara
Over the next eight years she worked hard to build a life for herself and make sure Clara never doubted for a moment she was loved
Gwen knew the world would be hard on her girl, so she made a point to build up her confidence and teach her it's never wrong to fight back when people are treating you unfairly; you can't take that shit lying down
Blunt and a bit intense, Gwen has seen and done plenty of shit and thought she finally had a handle on her life; and then she got kidnapped by illithids
Still haven't played the game, so I can't give a play by play of every interaction, but I do know early game she would be a bit distracted
Obviously her first goal is to figure out if her daughter is okay so it frankly is the only thing on her mind until she gets her hand on a sending scroll or something like it
Only after does she confirm that Clara is safe and with people she trusts can she focus on the task at hand
Takes a liking to Gale basically from the word go; he's respectful, he know hows to cook, he keeps making comments about his tongue, there is only so much a woman can handle
Gods know it has been a while since she's gotten laid
He starts rambling about magic and she can't not fuck him
Gale is hesitant at first because first the orb, second Gwen has made no secret she had a child and Gale doesn't see himself as father material, and three because he does really, really like her and doesn't want to make promises he can't keep
I'd say they're able to meet Clara before they head come to Baldur's Gate so Gale and the rest can meet her earlier; and to give Gwen some peace of mind
Clara is a very curious and headstrong, both of which Gale can appreciate; he can see why Gwen was so determined to get back to her, which only makes him admire her more
Also, quick aside about the rest of the companions; Wyll and Karlach would be ready to baby sit at any given moment, Lae'zel admires the child's fighting spirit and absolutely gifted her a sword, Shadowheart enjoys her more mischievous tendencies, and Astarion is classic wine aunt who hates all kids except Clara (he's been helping her stage of coup of the swing set)
Eventually feelings are confessed between Gale and Gwen leading to a proper relationship (and Gwen actually getting laid)
Gwen is absolutely not having it with him trying to blow himself up or becoming a god
Mystra: You must destroy yourself and the orb. Gale: Alright, let me ask Gwen. Mystra: No, that's not--. Gale: She said no.
Once everything is said and done, I'm going back and forth on if they would settle in Waterdeep
Clara has friends and it would be hard to ask her to leave, but I think Gale could compromise and get a position at a different magical university closer by
Either way, Gale settles into the domestic life rather nicely and dives head first into being the best father to Clara he can be
He absolutely devours every parenting book he can get his hands on, only to throw it all out the window once he's actually in it; Gwen did warn him, but old habits and all that
Probably waits a little longer to actually get married to see how they all function as a family together first; plus he wants to properly ask Clara if she's okay with him marrying her mother
I've got other random thoughts, but that about covers it for now, if you want to know more, feel free to drop an ask! I'm up for anything.

"Wait up" Duke's voice was slightly drowned out by rain, the rest of the Bats followed behind him. Earlier in the night, Nightwing had been cursed by some inexperienced warlock and well he turned into a baby. Also he clung to Jason like his life depended on it.
So here they were, the majority of the 3 of 5 Robins and Batman, walking up a mountain, trying to get to a friend of Jason's, they weren't even sure if you were that.
"where are we even going?"
"to see my wife" Dick cheered, and Jason smiled at him.
It was Bruce's turn to ask questions "your what?!"
Jason forgot that nobody else except for Dick and whoever you told knew he was married, "my wife" he looked at them and down at his brother "I'll explain later, we're here"
He pushed the doors open, well tried to before you sensed his presence and the doors opened for him opened the door. Your butler, Jamie wasn't waiting on the other side for once.
What they hadn't expected to see was flashing lights.
Yellow and red?
And yelling "You fucking idiot, you brought it here?!" you, but who were you yelling at?
"In all honesty love, I didn't think it would follow me" Constantine, oh how Jason despised him. He took every opportunity to piss Jason off, like standing too close to you, or holding your hand. He knew you didn't care much for it, because you both viewed each other platonically and you tried to get him to stop but John Constantine was a stubborn man.
But it also made Jason a little insecure, John was a powerful warlock despite what everyone would say he was a nice guy. You probably related to him more, both of you deal with the supernatural everyday.
But everytime Jason has those thoughts you shoot it down, you make him know that he's the only one you'd ever want, the only person you'd ever need.
"It's from hell, John! Of course it'd find you" you took a quick break from yelling at him to mutter a spell under your breath.
Chains appeared from the ceiling, shackling the demon and ripping it from the woman's body. The ruins you had drawn on the bottom of your carpet came in handy for once. It trapped the demon in place, as the two of you performed another spell to send it back to hell.
"Another day, another demon" John breathed out "you alright love?"
"I'm going to kill you Johnny" you grinned, turning around you saw Jason. "I thought I sensed your presence Jase"
The bats mustn't have realised they were staring until you started to walk up to Jason, and gave him a kiss and looked down at the oddly familiar baby he was carrying.
"aww, hi dickiebird" you cooed at the baby waving your fingers at him as he giggled.
"We need your help" Jason smiled at you.
Tumblr media
"So, Johnny what do you think?" baby Dick Grayson was asleep in your arms as you turned the page of some old book about age regression magic, pointing at something and John looked over to read it. It wasn't hard magic, but most of the time done on accident, like a slip of the tongue, or mispronouncing something.
When he finished reading the paragraph you showed him, he spoke "sounds about right, and should be simple enough to fix"
Batman was confused, how come Constantine hadn't spoken about you before? Why hadn't Jason told him? Maybe 'cause Bruce would've acted very weirdly about it, like full background check and stalking weird.
Damian was the one to ask though, as if he read his father's mind "how did you two meet?"
you looked up and smiled "I tried to kill him"
Jason laughed at the memory, Dick had been there with him when it happened. "Hm, failed miserably might I add"
"Oh fuck off babe" you grinned
"Why?"
"Because I heard her a mile away" he spoke, earning a soft mutter of liar from you.
Damian was getting irritated "no why did she try to kill you?"
you looked at the current Robin again "thought he was some possessed corpse"
"Can you help Grayson?" Damian hesitated at first, but asked none the less. "Yeah should be able to, but-"
"but?"
You looked at John, "nothing important, I'll help yeah?" he answered for you.
"I hate non-verbal magic"
Tumblr media
About thirty minutes later, you had drawn the runes on the walls. And started the spell, you went red? Like your hands and your body were engulfed by a red glow.
You were beautiful.
Most of the time Jason spent thinking about, he would wonder how he deserved you, how you a literal goddess could look at him and see beauty. You often called him graceful, telling him that even Greek sculptors could never create something as beautiful and flawless as him, no statue, no being in any universe compared to your husbands beauty and grace.
And you let him know it everytime, he often turned red and hid his face in your neck or in your hair. One time the Outlaws heard you tell him that, and every single one of them were speechless- even Roy.
You always managed to remind Jason he was loved, no matter what.

Hérault's Mistresses
Hérault was known as a huge womanizer, to the point where it's said that it's one of the reasons he never married, which is unusual for a noble - his father was 20 and his mother 16 when they married. Apparently, Hérault was matched with an aristocrat woman (girl, probably) but her father heard about his hoeing and demanded he is faithful to his future wife, or else the engagement is off. To which Hérault was like "it's off, then". No idea how truthful this is - it was reported in a royalist bio written by an aristocrat, a descendant of Hérault's biological grandfather (there's a mess surrounding that). But the anecdote doesn't sound so wildly OOC for Hérault, so I can see it.
I only know of three of his mistresses: Sainte-Amaranthe, Suzanne Giroux (or Giroult) de Morency and Adelle de Bellegarde.
I actually know the least about Hérault's relationship with Sainthe Amaranthe, except that she was about 8 years older than him and that, according to what he told Suzanne, "she was clever enough to keep me for a longer time". (Implying that his relationships were typically short.) In 1792, they were no longer together (?) but they remained friends.
Suzanne Giroux de Morency (de Morency is her pen name) was a woman in her early 20s (in 1792) and unhappily married. I found some claims (but absolutely no proof, though I have to look) that Hérault was the one who pushed for legalizing divorce because she asked him to help her (he would, but I think divorce was a super hot subject widely debated even before Hérault hooked up with her, so it's either totally made up, or Hérault boasted about it even though it wasn't technically true - it wouldn't be the first time that he did that (or, possibly, the last, if it's true that he took credit for others' work on the Constitution, as SJ claimed).
In 1792, Suzanne was a mistress of another deputy of the Convention. This didn't bother Hérault (or her) in the slightest. They actually met during a dinner that she attended with her lover and she was smitten on the spot. Hérault kissed her when her lover was not in the room (?) and stole a painting of her to have an artist copy it for him.
Suzanne describes their relationship (along with other stuff, as well as her dealings with other lovers) in her book "Illyrine ou l'éveil de l’inexpérience" [tome 2; tome 3]. Not sure how much of that is true and what's made up, but basic events check out. (Except that there is a possibility that she stole letters Hérault wrote to another woman - Adelle de Bellegarde - and passed them off as letters written to her). In the book, she describes the sex cave (grotto) that they sometimes visited with another couple, but sadly doesn't share any juicy details, except that the experience was "sublime" (and basically, Hérault is the best lover on the face of the Earth and how could any other man ever satisfy her after him).
In the book, she says she was there when Hérault was arrested - that he came to her when he realized that he would be arrested, saying that he "wants to have fun and live one day as it's ten years, so they are arresting an old man" (not the most precise quote - will need to find it- but that's the vibe). And she said he cried a lot in those days before the arrest. She was allegedly there when they arrested him, and she was also arrested and imprisoned for a while, but released.
Finally, Adelle de Bellegarde of the "Sabines" painting fame. Hérault met her when he was a representative on the mission in Savoy in late 1792 (he was dating Suzanne at the time and he told her, basically: "I will be away and I am not faithful. I know you have another lover [that other deputy] so while I am away, think about which one of us you like more so you'll tell me when I get back". And he got back to Paris with Adelle, but still continued to see Suzanne, I believe).
Adelle de Bellegarde was 21 and married (it's a pattern for Hérault - he didn't seduce maidens, not that I know of at least). She had a younger sister who became a lover of another representative that was there with Hérault.
It seems that Hérault cared for her more than usual mistresses, since he brought her to Paris and she remained with him for the rest of his life (this is why I am not 100% sure it was Suzanne who was with him when he was arrested. I mean, maybe - he sure wasn't into monogamy - but I don't necessarily trust Suzanne's word on it).
Anyway, Adelle was one of the reasons he was suspicious, since she was married to a man loyal to the king of Sardinia (which Savoy was part of before France annexed it in 1792), and, it seems (or was suspected) had connections to Austria. During the growing doubt in CSP over Hérault's loyalty, I think it was assumed that Hérault had contacts with the enemy through her (but I have to look more closely into it).
I don't know much about other lovers. There is an interesting (as in: wtf did it come from?) rumour I found at many places, but absolutely unproven: that Hérault and SJ were rivals for the love of the same woman. The woman's identity is not always stated (Claire Lacombe is mentioned, and Sainte Amaranthe?), but the point is that both were interested in the same woman, yet she chose Hérault (implied: of course, since he was better looking/charming/better lover/etc.) As a result, SJ gets super jealous and goes after Hérault, which results in his arrest and death.
Now, I couldn't find any origins of this rumour nor anything substantial. It is very difficult to judge its truthfulness when we know of only two women ever associated with Saint-Just: Thérèse Gellé and Henriette Le Bas (none of which are in any way associated with Hérault). The Sainte Amaranthe rumour is weird, because while there were (mainly post-Thermidor) slanders about SJ being interested in her daughter (that horrid "human coat girl" shit of a story), there are no specific proofs that he was. Plus, why would this cause love rivalry with Hérault? He was the lover of the mother, not daughter. (I wouldn't put it past Hérault to seduce the daughter, but there are zero rumours that connect them).
So, it's really in the realm of the random gossip I think, especially since... well, the rivalry between Hérault and SJ could easily be explained by political reasons (writing of the Constitution, then the whole mess around spy in the CSP), so not sure why the whole love rivals thing? Come to think of it, it's a rare male example of "women bickering because of a man" (you know, a sexist trope that whenever women are in a conflict, it had to be over a man or jealousy over who is prettier, and not about things like politics).
Male Lovers?
That's for female lovers I know of. As for men... We don't know anything for certain. A 100+ page Girondin slander pamphlet from 1793 claims that he started with "antiphysical passions" back when he was 18 and a young advocate general (and that he was even reprimanded for it, but he took no notice and continued). The pamphlet implies that Hérault took male lovers even after that, but provides no proof. So we don't know.
All I can say is that Suzanne tells us about times when Hérault invited another couple to the sex cave with them (so, to an orgy). There are no mentions of what happened, so I can't claim that there was anything same sex going on, but.... "Women swapping" seemed to be a common occurrence among some people, and sometimes, well, it didn't only include m/f stuff. (As in, it was a foursome more than just "I bang your wife and you bang mine"). And tbh, it was easier (more acceptable) to do same sex stuff if there were women present, instead of meeting with another man alone. So, I wouldn't be surprised if those orgy foursomes included same sex stuff, too.

STILL IN LOVE 2|2 - Roman Reigns
Tumblr media
Part 1 (×)
Y|N IS ONCE AGAIN READY TO WALK DOWN THE ISLE
"Cheers to my boo Y|N!" Trinity shouted, holding up her champagne glass, giving me and the rest of my bridal party a second to grab ours and hold them high as well. "The only woman I know to leave one groom before even making it down the isle, back into the arms of her one true love, and in a less than a year is ready to do it all again." She added, finishing her toast with a laugh as the rest of us joined in.
I sat down my glass before playfully rolling my eyes. "Except I will be walking off of this island as the new Mrs. Anoaʻi." I said proudly with a huge smile.
Nothing will keep me from marrying Roman, I thought silently to myself, my smile still plastered on my face for everyone in the room to see
I couldn't help it
I was happy
And I wanted all of my friends to see how much of a drastic difference this wedding was prior to my previous one from ten months ago.
"I still don't know how you ended up here again," Jey's wife, Maya, my other bestfriend and obviously bridesmaid said, causing the whole room to echo with mumbles of how they haven't known either. "Tell us."
"Well," I began with a sly shrug. "Clearly, my man proposed, I said yes, planned a wedding, and here we are now less than an hour from me walking down the isle to the man I want to spend the rest of my life with." I finished, trying to contain the giggle that tried to force its way from my mouth, due to the fact I knew that wasn't what they had wanted to hear.
Another one of my bridesmaids groaned, "Tell us what happened the day you told Roman how you felt."
I sighed, surveying the room with a quick glance at everyone.
They all looked eager to know.
"Fine," I playfully groaned, biting down on my lip for a second, before continuing. "Let me see what I remember."
Flashback -
Roman reached out to me, the palm of his hand softly caressing my cheek as if he didn't really believe I was standing here.
In front of him.
"I'm really here, Roman." I whispered, turning my head slightly so I could place a soft kiss on the inside of his palm just before he removed it from my cheek.
Roman nodded slowly, his eyes still stuck on me, as he seemingly refused to blink.
Probably afraid that I'd disappear if he did.
"Roman, can you say something?" I awkwardly giggled, noting his speech was fine a minute ago. "Anything..?"
In all my years of knowing Roman I've never seen him so stunned.
In every chapter of our lives, I've been the stunned one.
When he first asked me out that night we met in some random bar, I honestly thought the group of guys, who I've soon come to realize were his cousins and close friends who he also worked with in WWE, had put him up to it. Probably like some childish high school thing where you put a hot guy whose way out of a girl's league up to asking her out, only to make her look like a fool later on.
Or when he first told me he loved me.
Flying away with him to Bora Bora on a spontaneous trip for our first anniversary.
The first time we did, well you know. I was really stunned then.
Like really, really stunned.
I was even stunned when after almost ten years he decided that he didn't think me and him had a future.
Or did he say we had different futures?
I don't exactly remember after successfully putting that day in a metaphorical box in my mind and locking it away, so it could never be opened again.
The point is, Roman was the one to I guess be in control, making the first step but I guess since now that it's me being the one choosing to come here, to come back for him was a surprise.
"I just..." Roman finally began saying after seemingly regaining his speech. "I can't believe you're really here."
"And I can't belive you can talk again." I replied sarcastically, watching how Roman shook his head in response.
"I'm serious Y|N," Roman spoke up again. "Your wedding."
"Is clearly not happening." I said with a smile forming. "I came back for you." I added, stepping a bit closer to him, the slight breeze from outside forcing Roman's familiar scent into my nose.
Oh, how I've missed that scent.
Again, Roman stood in front of me, shaking his head. "See, this is why I didn't want you to find out about how I felt, why I didn't tell you myself." Roman groaned, scratching at the back of his neck. "You were on your way to the life you wanted, the life you deserved with a man that doesn't have to pack up and leave every week. I mean, that was the reason for most of our fights, right..? You said you couldn't deal with that anymore."
"That's not what I meant, Roman." I said, reaching out and wrapping my arms around his neck, as I stood on my tippy toes to give myself a little more height, trying my best to match his. "I was just getting tired of you coming back from the road, having only two or three days at home and spending sometimes both nights going out with your friends, and a few hours of the third day with me while we were at the airport waiting for you to leave again. They were seeing you more than I was and some of them you worked with. It was pissing me off." I explained. "I just wanted you to do better with our relationship like you did in the beginning."
"But instead of understanding what you wanted," Roman paused, "I mean, what I should've been doing, I instead let you go. Like an idiot"
"Exactly," I mumbled, biting down on my lip. "And me being the idiot I was after our break up, I jumped into a relationship with the first guy I met after you and said yes to a proposal."
"Only to leave him the day of the wedding." Roman laughed, seeming like the Roman I remembered. "For me." He proudly added.
I blushed, rolling my eyes as I tried to play off what he'd said.
This man can be so egotistical sometimes, I swear.
But he was right.
"And if you had showed up, and I had seen you, I would've unapologetically pulled a Mariah Carey in her we belong together video, if it meant I get to end up with you. Because we do belong together." I giggled again, hiding my face in his chest, feeling the vibrations from him laughing harder at what I had said.
"I love you so much, baby." He replied, making me pull myself back, trying to look into his eyes.
I could feel myself beginning to blush, as I leaned up towards him, while simultaneously pulling him down the rest of the way. "I love you too Roman, so much." I replied before kissing him.
"Ahh," Jey's wife squealed as I finished telling them parts of what happened with me and Roman when I showed up at his house. "I want to cry, but I don't want to ruin my makeup." She added, making me laugh.
She can be so dramatic.
"Shut up Maya," I said, going over to her to playfully swat at her arm. "Save it for the actual ceremony." I continued, before another bridesmaid, who happens to be my friend from college, spoke up.
"But if you were leaving from the house before even knocking," She began, "How did Roman even know you were out there?"
"Security camera." Both Trinity and I said at the same time, before glancing over at each other and laughing yet again.
Jey's wife shot both me and Trinity a glare that could kill. "How..?" She questioned, pointing between me and Jimmy's wife. "How does she know that? Did you tell her the story already?"
"No," I quickly answered. "I just mentioned that part when I was on the phone with her one night." I explained, earning a suspicious nod from Maya.
"Mhm..." She mumbled just before there was a knock on the door.
My mom went over to open it, revealing my wedding planner and my dad.
"We're ready to start." The planner quickly said, as she called every bridesmaid out in other they're supposed to walk down the isle, as my dad stayed off to the side.
I sucked in a breath of air, feeling my heart began to flutter as everyone but my dad, Trinity, Maya, and the wedding planner was left.
"Can you give me and the girls a second?" I asked with a smile before closing the door on my dad and wedding planner, after they nodded.
When I turned back to my two bestfriends I couldn't help but notice the huge smiles on their face. "What's with the creepy smiles?" I giggled, trying to hold back my own smile.
"C'mon..." Maya replied, nudging at me. "Either you say it or we do."
I playfully rolled my eyes. "Say what?" I asked giggling some more. "Thank you for sticking with me through these ten crazy months of walking out of one wedding and now ending up back at another..?"
"Say the reason you didn't touch your champagne." Trinity blurted out, before covering her mouth with her hands.
God.
Can't get nothing past these two.
"Okay," I smiled, biting at the inside of my cheek. "Here goes nothing..." I spoke up again, pausing for dramatic effect.
"Oh my god..." Both my bestfriends said in at the same time. "Say it."
"I'm pregnant." I finally said, happy tears beginning to sting at my eyes. "A month and two weeks to be exact."
Trinity and Maya each took turns coming over to give me hugs, and congratulations.
"I called it, when I saw you didn't drink after my toast." Trinity spoke up again, dabbing at the corners of her eyes with a tissue, a smile still on her face.
I placed my hand on my still flat belly. "I literally just found out about a week ago." I said looking down at where my hands were placed, a nervous smile on my face. "Roman doesn't know, yet but I do plan on telling him after the wedding."
"Well let's get your ass married so you can tell him." Maya said, helping me to the door, right as the wedding planner came back letting us know she was ready for us.
While heading out the door, Trinity leaned close to my ear. "No turning back this time, right?" She asked with a playfully smirk.
I shook my head. "Not this time." I said with a smirk of my own.
I'm leaving this very island where me and Roman spent our first anniversary as his wife.

I just want to ramble a little, because one of the latest reblogs evoked something in me, and I just want to make sure I'm not the insane one; also I've finally got around listening to Pamela's tapes from the FT13 game, and I'm kdjfksfjjefj-
! I may be adding something here and there throughought, because I seriously have a lot to say about all of this 😭
Tumblr media
Because no matter what anyone tells me, I can't for the life of me be on anyone else's side, but Jason's. The franchise has some likable protagonists, obviously, and I rooted for them. My heart? Always on the Jason's side.
Tumblr media
Like, I want you to picture what I'm seeing here, with added info from those tapes I mentioned.
TW sexual violence, abuse, ableism
Pamela- a woman living through 40s and 50s- already a tough situation if you know the historical context. At one point, a tragedy happened; an unknown man raped her- she doesn't want to talk about him, she doesn't want to remember him, she doesn't want to see this monster ever again. "It doesn't matter" she said to the police in the tapes. "What happened, happened." But she felt like he was still out there. Looking for her- and for the child he gave her with unspeakable violence. So she found Elias. Because he looked like someone who would be able to protect them. She married a different monster, it turned out. He also abused her - sexually, mentally and physically.
I feel like throughout it all, she managed to find strenght in her kid - someone who, due to his disability and ableism of the world, seemed far more vulnerable than her (and maybe because thanks to his disability, she just saw an innocent child rather than her rapist's face). And someone who loved her unconditionally- so she loved him back, despite how he came to be. I think she tried to be a strong person, and to shield her son from how cruel the world could really be- she knew it first-hand after all. The world already disappointed her, so maybe her child can have a shot, and she clearly tried her best- he was her perfect, little kid, no matter what kind of disgusting and atrocious things people were saying about someone who never did anything to them. She knows bad people. Her son wasn't one just because he looked different.
But Elias abused him too. She obviously snapped at that point. She murdered him for what he did - because unlike with the other despicable man, this time she was in control of what to do with him. Her son told her to do it too, he knew it too - or it was the first sign of how mentally disturbed she was because of her trauma.
She heard about Camp Crystal Lake later. It made itself to be something like a paradise, for kids especially. Of course she took it. Not only for work, but I think they made it out to be this beautiful and promising place for children - and her son deserved happiness too. But it wasn't. Other kids were cruel, and councelors were rude. Just because someone is born different. She tried her best to make him socialise, to protect him too. She was shielding him from others a little too much, sure- but considering her past experiences and the fact that she didn't get professional help, I don't blame her. In her eyes most likely, the world proved to her how fucking disgusting it can get to people who never even did anything to it.
Then, she heard it. Her child begging for help - probably just like all those times he screamed for help while his dad was hurting him. They told her that they can't find him later. She told them he couldn't swim. That they had to pay a little more attention. Her child- Jason- was probably her biggest, if not only, reason to still be alive, because he deserved to have support and genuine love, to experience what she didn't get to. He needed her, but suddenly he was gone. The police was called, she demanded justice.
She demanded something that she didn't get- so at least give it to a damn child. And they didn't.
On one of the tapes, the police even assumed that "he's probably dead already". You know why they automatically assumed that? Because he has a disability. They didn't even consider the smallest chance of him being alive, just decided he's no longer alive without even doing the search. She tried to find Jason on her own, of course. But obviously she couldn't, she's only one person. Not only the police didn't do anything useful- the councelors that were too busy with themselves were hired again. Without consequences. Without an apology. Without justice. Horrible people doing horrible shit and then living like nothing happened while others suffer. And she snapped again- trying to do anything in her power to have the camp permanently closed after her murders, so no other mother can suffer like her- like your heart was ripped straight out of your chest.
Tumblr media
Jason had to live years in the woods alone. He probably wondered why all of this had to happen to him. In the comic of him and Leatherface, he still remembers his dad's abuse too. All of that because of how he looked- hating it himself up to the point of covering his face (I think the fact that the bag on his head is tied perfectly shows that he really doesn't want to give anyone/anything a chance to take it off and see it). Only his mom loved him, no one else in his life showing him this much care and genuine appreciation for existing.
And then, he sees them. Everyone just happily visiting Camp Crystal Lake. Partying. Living. Nobody even once wants to genuinely acknowledge what happened. Nobody visits his mother's grave, the councelors do whatever they want. Nobody pays respect in any way. They act like it never happened. Like their lives thrown away means nothing. Like- I think- no one wants to look into themselves and ask whether or not they contribute to what kind of society we've created- one where victims don't get justice, where an ableist "joke" is accepted and laughed at, where you'd rather ignore what's around you rather then contribute to change- because maybe if someone, even one person, thought that way, his mother wouldn't be raped and killed while mentally unstable, and maybe he could have a chance at living just like able-bodied people are, and maybe the other kids would have been a little nicer to him. Maybe if they stopped to think about others for one second, it all wouldn't happen. We could change the world- but are we just choosing not to?
And then you see the same people kill your mother. Was her snapping after everything made her a horrible person? The same that raised her child, despite from who he came? She didn't even get to find him and live like a family. He was probably so excited for that split second, seeing his mom alive. She didn't even get to see he's safe when he found his way back onto the Camp. What did they do to the world for everything to end up like this?
Because I think after all that, they decided they're going to give them a reason.
I personally enjoy DiSanti's interpretation in his fanmade movies- where the blood of Pamela entered Jason, with all the hate she gathered for the world. Because in my eyes, that's the perfect depiction where they both, in a way, decided that they're going to show people how it really feels when your entire life is ruined, where your innocence and hope are stripped away, and there is no justice served, and no one believes you, and no one does anything. These people are going to know how it feels to have the entire world against you while hatered and pain eat away your humanity.
While, maybe at one point finally, realising that it all could've been avoided if you thought about someone other than yourself.
It's "if you want to hate me, hate me for an actual reason". And the Voorhees decided they're going to give them a damn good one.
And a friendly reminder HE'S NOT EVEN GOING TO KILL YOU IF YOU STAY OUT OF CRYSTAL LAKE AND JUST LEAVE HIM ALONE.
You would stay alive if you just fucking listened for once.
Also: honorable mention of Rennie who was made an "empath" in the comics
Tumblr media
Because apparently empathy and morality are mutually exclusive, and feeling empathy towards someone, even someone doing horrible shit, is a super-power and not just something we all should strive to have. (Me wants to say it's because the world has had us convinced that commiting a crime is a perfect reasoning for getting rid of empathy for those who commit the crime and for circumstances of them ending up in certain positions, so we don't realise just how broken we are as a society and we all have certain responsibility for how we treat the disabled, the poor, the abused, the mentally unwell etc. and most shit happens for a reason; but not everyone is ready for this conversation. Or maybe everyone's angry that they see Jason-with all his background provided- and unlike many people, he doesn't really go after children and animals still, so they realise he still has more rigid of a moral spine than them).
And also they kinda keep doing this shit- I understand screaming while a huge guy is chasing you with a clear intent to kill you; but excuse me, why are you screaming upon seeing someone's deformity caused by a disability? 🤨 (he even raised his mask in pt. 3, because like, HE KNOWS what kind of reaction he's gonna get - because so far no one proved him otherwise).

The Dancing Men pt 1
His head was sunk upon his breast, and he looked from my point of view like a strange, lank bird, with dull grey plumage and a black top-knot.
Tumblr media
This is probably not the image ACD (nor Watson) intended to conjure up, but this was what I immediately thought of.
Ooh, we're starting with a Holmes deducing Watson section again. That hasn't happened for a while. I thought Watson had got over his amazement at having it turned on him. Apparently not.
I looked with amazement at the absurd hieroglyphics upon the paper. “Why, Holmes, it is a child's drawing,” I cried.
Watson knows some very intelligent egyptologist children.
“Well, Mr. Holmes, what do you make of these?” he cried. “They told me that you were fond of queer mysteries, and I don't think you can find a queerer one than that."
Yes, but aside from Holmes' taste in literature, what about the paper?
OH, I have read this one before. I didn't remember the title, but I do remember the little stick figures. Not that that reminds me of anything else.
"You'll think it very mad, Mr. Holmes, that a man of a good old family should marry a wife in this fashion, knowing nothing of her past or of her people; but if you saw her and knew her it would help you to understand."
Oh no, Mr Cubitt, have you been honey trapped?
"If you take me, Hilton, you will take a woman who has nothing that she need be personally ashamed of; but you will have to be content with my word for it, and to allow me to be silent as to all that passed up to the time when I became yours."
Oh dear... this is not a good sign. If you're not willing to share your past with the guy, you really shouldn't share your future with him. Where's the trust? Where's the communication? You don't have to explain everything in detail, but he should have at least a little idea of what it's about.
Red flags once again.
"It was only the day before our wedding that she said those very words to me."
Tumblr media
She might be a perfectly nice person, but she doesn't trust you
"None did come for a week, and then yesterday morning I found this paper lying on the sun-dial in the garden."
I might be remembering wrong, but last time a mysterious coded message was left on a sundial in these stories, three people were murdered by the KKK.
That story also started with a person being deiberately secretive with information that could have savde people's lives.
“Don't you think, Mr. Cubitt,” said he, at last, “that your best plan would be to make a direct appeal to your wife, and to ask her to share her secret with you?” Hilton Cubitt shook his massive head. “A promise is a promise, Mr. Holmes. If Elsie wished to tell me she would. If not, it is not for me to force her confidence. But I am justified in taking my own line—and I will.”
Tumblr media
Because hiring a detective to snoop into your wife's secret past is so much better than asking her directly. I get that you made a promise, my man, but while this may be sticking to the letter of that promise, it absolutely isn't sticking to the spirit. Asking your wife is definitely the lesser of two evils here.
"After that I determined to lie in wait; so I got out my revolver and I sat up in my study, which overlooks the lawn and garden."
Given that this is Sherlock Holmes story, the person leaving these notes probably is very dastardly and liable to murder, but I'm not sure leaving weird encoded messages really calls for guns.
“‘What, be driven out of our own house by a practical joker?’ said I. ‘Why, we should have the whole county laughing at us.’"
Tumblr media
"Seizing my pistol I was rushing out, when my wife threw her arms round me and held me with convulsive strength."
Was it a pistol or a revolver? Because earlier you said you got your revolver, and now you're saying pistol...
The dancing stickmen are very cute. I like the upside-down ones the best.
So, is this going to be one of the ones where someone dies before Holmes gets there? It feels like it might be. But ACD does prefer happier endings for his couples when neither of them is the bad guy. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

What’s your opinion on show and book!Viserys (Rhaenyra’s father not her son btw)?
Where do I even begin🤦🏽‍♀️ I apologize in advance because this is going to be a rant and probably won’t be that coherent.
I straight up hate his guts. Sorry not mincing any words because he’s a f*cking idiotic selfish POS(actually that’s an insult to sh*t) Jacka** whose actions(or rather lack of actions cause this MF does nothing) almost single-handedly destroyed an entire dynasty. Seriously f*ck both the show and the book versions of him are literally the worst.
If anyone is looking for one character to blame the Dance on, well look no further than this turd because he’s the reason for all the unnecessary chaos.
Book!Viserys gets 1/2 a point over show!Viserys based on the fact that he never orders Aemma to be cut open, but he’s just as stupid and selfish as show!Viserys.
I think out of all the characters on the show Viserys is the one who’s changed the least fundamentally from his book counterpart. The only major difference is the Aemma situation, he’s not a creepy pedo(cause he and Alicent only have a ten-year age gap), and he “cares” for Helaena and her children in the book(I say “care” loosely because if he cared he would’ve realized that those babies would become targets the moment he died).
Fundamentally, Viserys is a character who is willfully oblivious to what's happening around him. He’s created a powder keg situation yet he fails to notice it because he thinks his word is law and everyone should just blindly follow what he says because he’s the king. He can break tradition because he is king. He can make the rules up as he goes and spit in the face of others because he is the king.
Let me be clear, there is nothing wrong with breaking the precedent of succession for favoring males over their female relatives. However, this dude is a. A hypocrite(the whole reason why he is king is because he was a man whereas Rhaenys who had the greater claim was a woman) and b. A dumb dumb.
The moment Alicent popped out Aegon II he created a succession crisis. You can not tell me that he didn't realize that Otto and Alicent would put Rhaenyra first over their own flesh and blood cause he would never do that himself. He should’ve never married her if he wanted to keep Rhaenyra as heir.
(And as much as I rag on her, you know what, the reason why she’s so horrible is because of him. He was a sh*tty father to her just as much as his other kids).
He was the king. It’s not like he loved Alicent. He could’ve had any number of mistresses and fathered any number of bastards no one would care and they wouldn’t be a threat to his daughters claim like his true born sons were, but what does he do? He marries her anyway.
You could make the argument that oh Rhaenyra was his eldest child so the Hightowers should’ve respected that, but Viserys also helped to facilitate another succession crisis by turning a blind eye to Rhaenyra having obvious bastards(he got lucky that Corlys for the longest time cared more about appearances than his blood).
While everything might have been okay for Rhaenhra had the Targtowers not been in the picture(or if they bent the knee), No one, and I mean no one was going to take those boys being made king and the Lord of the Tides seriously once he, Rhaenyra, and I guess Corlys, had died.
If Viserys actually loved any of his children he would’ve named Aegon his heir, married Rhaenyra off to a man who she could have a fulfilling marriage with, and called it a day, but nope. This dummy really let his guilty conscience(and his nether regions) ruin his family(I believe that even book!Viserys felt some guilt over Aemma dying which is why he kept Rhaenyra as heir and allowed her to do whatever).
If this is your favorite character(I doubt he has any actual fans except god bless him, Paddy) please tell me why because there is absolutely nothing likable about him:
Tumblr media
I apologize for posting this yucky picture, but I’m so glad they decided to make him look like a rotting corpse instead of making him fat like in the book. His outsides started matching his insides and it’s what he deserved🤡
Bottom line show!Alicent is a saint for putting up with him and I don’t blame book!Alicent one bit for letting his putrid corpse rot for days on end. He's the reason why House Targ almost went extinct(and why they lost their dragons for basically 200 years).

Do you know if dowries for wealthy families were usually predetermined standard amounts, or whether it was some function of income / number of daughters?
Looking at Pride and Prejudice alone, it seems that it’s about (income x 3) / # daughters: Mr. Bennet’s 2000 gives each girl about 1000 pounds, and Darcy’s 10,000 gives Georgiana 30,000.
I feel like that’s the wrong way to go about calculating a dowry, since I’m sure if Darcy had another sister she would also get 30,000, but I’m not sure how it was done, and some (light) research didn’t help.
Short answer: it seems like many women’s fortunes are made up of their mother’s former dowry, split between them. This may be added to, but the wealthiest unmarried women in Austen’s novels are usually from small families (or have few sisters), meaning less division of the original fortune took place.
Long and kind of rambly Answer:
First, we must remember that the #1 rule of Jane Austen finance is Never Spend the Principle. These people for the most part are living on the income of generational wealth. A good portion of this wealth is in land, but some is in investments. They never spend that money. (Also, a lot of the time, they literally can’t spend the principle, it’s in trust and protected by legal agreements)
When a woman marries, her fortune can be, and it seems like often is, preserved for her children in the marriage articles (legal agreement made at the time of marriage, similar to a will). We see this with Mrs. Bennet. She brought £4000 into the marriage, one additional thousand must have been supplied by the Bennet family, resulting in a safe £5000 for the mother and daughters. Now if Mr. Bennet was prudent, he could have reinvested the income on that fortune, resulting in very healthy dowries for his own daughters, but if course he didn't. (I have a whole post about that here)
Now here is an interesting point, the £5000 set aside for Mrs. Bennet and her daughters is not already divided. This means if the Bennets wanted to tempt a man to marry one of their daughters, they could offer the full £5000 as one daughter’s dowry. However, that isn’t what we see most commonly in Jane Austen’s novels; we see equal division. But we do see many fortunes that are not released until the death of both parents.
For example, here is Anne Elliot’s fortune: “a small part of the share of ten thousand pounds which must be hers hereafter”. Anne’s dowry is most likely in trust, unable to be touched by her father. However, the wedding articles probably give him a life interest and since he needs the income, she doesn't get it right away. Anne will probably get her money upon her father's death. This amount is most likely Lady Elliot’s dowry, divided between her daughters. Henry Tilney is getting a similar inheritance: Of a very considerable fortune, his son was, by marriage settlements, eventually secure. But it does not go to Henry until his father dies. John Dashwood inherits a similar fortune from his mother.
You can see here why it’s a problem if you marry someone who is penniless and you don’t have a big income! Mr. Bennet doesn’t have a big fortune to start with so he really, REALLY needed to save...but even Darcy is going to have to be prudent to give his daughter’s sufficient fortunes down the road having married the poor Elizabeth Bennet. Marrying for wealth wasn’t only greedy, it’s about maintaining this generational wealth. If too much leaves in dowries, you get into trouble. Or you have to provide less money and your daughters don’t marry as well as you desire.
Some of the large dowries we see are from trade: Caroline Bingley’s 20k, Sophia Grey’s 50k (the future Mrs. Willoughby), and Augusta Hawkins’s 10k (the future Mrs. Elton). Lady Middleton and Mrs. Palmer are the daughters of a tradesman as well. This is important because this money is new, which a lot of old families desperately needed after getting into debt. Many properties were entailed, meaning they could not be sold. If you got into debt, it was hard to get out because you can’t sell anything. And for families in trade, well-educated and wealthy daughters had a good chance of marrying up.
So, Georgiana Darcy’s fortune may well be the money that Lady Anne brought into her marriage. Importantly, Georgiana is an only daughter. I actually doubt if she had a sister that they would both have 30k, they might have 15k or 20k each. The wealthiest women we see come from very small families, like the wealthy Caroline and Louisa Bingley, Emma and Isabella Woodhouse,  Anne de Bourgh, and Miss Morton, the only daughter of Lord Morton (S&S). Even Agusta Hawkins is one of only two children. Which makes sense because it’s hard to save, but it’s easy to just take the dowry and pass it on, which if you are an only daughter works out great. If you are Catherine Morland it might not work so well.
Further reading (though I must note this article has a misquote from P&P)
Also, Wives & Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskell really gets into the problem of generational wealth and gentry slipping into poverty. Makes for an interesting study (The Hamleys of Hamley are the family)

Cad Bane Arranged Marriage AU Story Idea
So I'm processing a LOT of story-writing thoughts—last night, as a result, my brain figured it'd be cool to hand me a fairly in-depth Bane plot circa The Clone Wars via one of my dreams. Unfortunately, this setup's not usable in my current writing efforts... but it was actually pretty intriguing for me despite being a dream, so, you know, here you go! If someone wants to take it in some direction, then by all means, feel free.
The trouble began when a small archaeological team was sent by the Republic to a remote jungle on a world in the Outer Rim. Their purpose was to dig up Jedi artifacts from a long-since crumbled and overgrown mountain-temple there... but naturally, this group needed regional contacts and guides so they could do their job. This, they found in a nearby village of Duros.
Now, this particular group of Duros had inhabited the area for hundreds of years, their ancestors settling there so as to protect some of their ancient and fading traditions. This was primarily a farming community that also made fine jewelry and bright textiles characterized by vibrant colors and beautiful geometric patterns. The forest and land provided ample minerals, fibers, and dyes. These Duros practiced arranged marriage, had an involved spiritual life, and were, on the whole, pretty peaceable, prosperous, and happy. They welcomed the archaeologists and ensured they were provided for during their stay.
The best of the guides offered to the team was a gentle, soft spoken, young woman named Liiju whose family was quite well respected. She often wandered the mountain, having grown up running and playing in the jungle trees and streams, finding it a ready teacher to help her navigate her own personal challenges and thoughts. And of those, she had many. While she really loved her family and home, the primary thing she was unfortunately gossiped about around town for was that she'd so far refused every marriage match her parents had tried. So she was getting towards middle age, yet was the only one her age still unmarried, no eggs, etc., and it had left her a bit socially adrift.
Liiju could never really explain why she would refuse all her suitors. Every person she was asked to consider was often very kind to her. It just... didn't feel right... and she would always find a way to gently shut it down.
Her family was getting really concerned, however. They'd even started considering proposals from outsiders at this point. Though if she married outside the village, she’d most likely leave (something they would all grieve,) they wanted their daughter cared for with children of her own as she got older. Liiju had tried her hand at several other possible roles around the village, but none of it seemed to stick; she really only excelled at wandering in nature, and this wasn't exactly a skill in demand.
Still, it was useful for this rare team of archaeologist visitors. And one of them, a human named Maro, took a shine to Liiju right away as they worked. She seemed so curious about the outside world and what he did, intelligent and interested. He told her about his life with the academic community back on Coruscant, she told him of her life here, and a little spark of interest lit in him. He liked how her slender hands fluttered when talking about the movements of the seasons and animals there, how her red eyes were always squinting with a smile when she’d watch the sky. Indeed, when she went back home each night to eat with her family, Maro would find himself a little disappointed she didn't stay. He was even more disappointed when she mentioned off-hand that an outsider was going to be showing up at the village the next day, one that she was supposed to make yet another good-faith effort to get engaged to. Still, he could only offer words of support—these were her people’s traditions, and them and her family had been there for her far before he’d been. His consolation was that she would probably find a way to say no to this new guy too at the end of the day. Excited about it… she was not. Truly, there was a flash of sadness in her when she spoke of a future settled down and married and laying eggs... like she’d lose something she didn’t know how to quite pin down, let alone get back.
The next morning, the archaeologists were in the town square eating breakfast at an outside table, waiting for the weekly merchant ship to arrive—the team often traded with them for supplies the village itself couldn’t create. Maro had been also told this ship would further be carrying Liiju's new potential fiance from the continent's capital city. Indeed, she sat with them on the bench, quietly waiting to observe what her future might hold from a distance so it couldn’t catch scent of her before she wanted it to. And on schedule, it appeared on the dawn's horizon. Slowly, as the light spread, the transport settled down at the village's entrance. Liiju’s mother and father were first in line in their finery to patter up and greet the ship.
But who would step out into the humid morning behind the merchants?
None other than Cad Bane my friends, dressed nice and neat.
The archaeologists sat and stared as their breakfast slowly dropped from their hands. Their furtive glances to each other said: "Uh. Hey. Is that who we KRIFFING think it is...?"
Liiju just sighed, oblivious to this, muttering, "My folks are considering older men too now I see."
And Maro merely sat there and vibrated, eyes wide and grimacing.
Still, Bane was being very chill. Oddly chill. Though he conducted himself stiffly, he did all the right motions with the villagers, speaking quietly, direct with answers, delivering the right honorary words and gestures at the right times—easily maneuvering his way past initial concerns about outsider disrespect. The parents invited him quickly and with open arms back to their home, because this guy absolutely had the dowry money, and wasn’t he a nice gentleman, and in their glances to each other, they said: please, please let our child consent to even meeting this one. We are at the end of our rope here.
The archaeologists just turned to Liiju and said they all needed to return to the jungle. Now. Confused, she went. But their voices were all so strained and quick and quiet. It was only when they were safely to the ruins and out of earshot from all else that they finally began to speak openly—and it was mostly to shout panic at one another. They were too remote for their long-distance communicators to work, so they couldn’t call out to the Republic and announce they had eyes on one of the most wanted men in the galaxy drinking a welcoming tea in a pleasant little hut. They couldn’t fight; they'd get obliterated. They couldn't even reveal themselves; being Republic, wouldn't Bane easily just decide to bump them off so they couldn't squeal about where he was showing up these days? What if he was there for the artifacts as well; couldn't he capture and torture them to learn about his objective?
There was really only one thing they were certain about: they couldn’t let this young woman go home yet to that. Who knew what in the galaxy his plans for her were?
To which Liiju was like, uh. So. What's the big deal? He was just some outsider with money. Those came around all the time.
Of course, when they explained who he was, she started to freak out exactly the same. Her people were well removed from the war, but apparently this was of course a violent mercenary showing up and pretending to be just a lonesome businessman. He was in her house. With her parents. Her whole family! Would they be held hostage over something?
Speaking of which, her parents were blowing up her transmitter like, "Dear, it’s getting late, you better get home and join us for dinner and talk to this nice man! No, we don’t have time to talk about it, he’s right here and you’re being rude! Why won't you give this a chance? He’s richer than anyone who's been by the village in ages, and he’s got the nicest droid helping us with the dishes even???"
Maro, quiet and deep in his feelings, was getting a bit frantic at this point. Finally, he walked up, took her hand, and offered to court her instead so her parents could feel like there were other options.
“Thanks?” After two solid minutes of the entire site going silent, this was all Liiju could think of to say. Maro seemed a kind man. She liked his stories of places out there. But… but marrying him?! They didn’t know each other either! And entirely overwhelmed, shaking, scared, and backed into a lot of corners, she was more intent on just running off into the trees than accepting a proposal from anyone just then.
But she couldn't. Those she loved, and she herself, were in danger.
The archaeologists agreed to send someone on foot to the nearest outpost so they could call for backup. But Bane needed to be stalled until help arrived. And Liiju, still stunned and holding Maro’s hand without an answer, volunteered to return like her parents wanted. Why not? If she didn’t, their guest would surely grow suspicious. And it was supposedly her he’d traveled all this long way to see.
It would give her an excuse too to go back into the forest a brief while, to think, to consider Maro’s fierce look and urgent promise.
To possibly grieve her old life.
Maro did not give her that peace entirely: he volunteered to accompany her back to the village perimeter at least so he would be just a call away if she needed help. Liiju wasn't sure what he could do, but she appreciated the gesture, and so, they walked back in silence, him growing awkward and earnest, her trembling and hunched inward.
She went home. She quietly came in through the back door. Her parents and little brothers stood right away and fussed around the table and made a huge deal of announcing her, their beautiful Liiju, home and ready for dinner, hooray! And then there was the lean, looming stranger at the far end of the table. His eyes seemed to gleam like hypnotic stars, his expression respectfully neutral.
And in that piercing gaze, Liiju saw that he knew that she knew who he was and why she had stalled arriving, even if her parents didn’t, like he could tear right through her skin and see all her secrets.
Of course, she was still shaking and finding it hard to speak, so maybe he could smell her fear. This realization made her just shake harder, thinking maybe he would resort to threats to get his way if their ignorance was part of his original plan.
But what he did was merely invite her to sit down one on one before dinner to hear him out. He claimed then that if she didn't like his offer, he would leave.
Liiju’s family looked to her a little startled, questioning. But listless, she nodded. It could get her loved ones out of the room and at a safer distance. Though confused, her parents began misreading her nervousness—and so pleased that she was actually making an effort to get to know this match, they shrugged to each other and vamoosed out of their house immediately (save for, obviously, the chaperone droid stationed in the corner.)
Slowly, Liiju settled just across from this invader, taking her seat in the same chair she'd eaten meals at every day since before she could walk.
Bane set down his teacup.
And then, the nice relaxed face he’d been doing that whole time just sort of dropped. It was as if a mellow expression was something he had to actively maintain, and his real default was something far more keen, unblinking, and dangerous—a predator born.
Without preamble, he informed her that he would be honest with her, as it would save them both time.
Liiju considered. This man was apparently so dangerous that he had nothing to fear from her, no matter what she knew, but Maro had warned her that he would likely tell all sorts of lies…
No. He… seemed honest, strangely. His words were too sparse and blunt, his hunch too impatient, for elaborate stories.
Yet his first question was this: was there anyone in her village that she had her eye on already? Was she actually open to this talk of matches?
Startled, Liiju stammered she didn’t have any secret suitors of course, nothing so dishonorable, unsure why he was digging at that: but of course, he could tell straightaway that she was lying. And when he pressed again, reminding her not to waste his time, she finally admitted that, well, technically someone did offer to approach her parents for permission to court her that day. Why? Well... just because he was here. Under his gleaming, unblinking interrogation, she suddenly felt like she'd have to say every fact that she'd ever known.
She wasn’t good at lying.
"Ah," was all he said though. "You considering that?"
Liiju thought about the archaeologist, handsome and friendly. She thought about being so scared she couldn't feel her toes and fingers. "Yes," she admitted.
To that, he kind of just scoffed. He asked if she was really considering it, or if it was just fear—if she’d give that other man the time of day if she wasn’t being pressured into this situation.
Liiju considered that too, not knowing why he cared. Still, words shaking, really thinking of what was true and what wasn't deflated some of her rattling tension. It grounded her. And honestly... the answer was no. Sure, she thought the archaeologist was kind of sweet. But she was thinking of that offer like it was a desperate escape hatch, swept up in the adrenaline. That was the only reason it sounded appealing. She didn't really want it.
Bane seemed satisfied by her answers. Then, he then told her that in the galaxy and especially in Duros society, there were many things one couldn't easily access without the pretense of a family. It affected him frequently enough that he realized he would benefit from being accompanied by a spouse to some places, and most of his own kind that he might hire for the role weren’t trustworthy enough or would cost him too much cash for repeat performances. So, he’d decided to find someone willing to just actually create the legal documents and save him the trouble of forgeries to boot.
Here, in these remote places, people didn't know him. There were ample Duros. There was a system of arranged marriages and dowries still in effect. He didn’t have the time to court and woo, nor the inclination, but he did have the money and a liking for efficiency, and so, here they were together.
Well, obviously, that wasn't the most charming proposal in the world. And it was suddenly dawning for Liiju that she could refuse, that he seemed to prize the idea of someone who wouldn't betray him, so she'd need to be willing. Perhaps her life was in no danger after all.
But then he said something that gave her pause: he said he chose to meet her specifically, out of all the Duros in all the cities and villages on this world.
"Why?" she wondered, heart hammering.
Well. She was the only one who'd apparently refused fifteen straight offers. Clearly she was looking for the chance to make a life of her own choosing and not have a husband. After all, that was really what he had to give in exchange: if she took him up on a contract, she could get people off her back, legally say she was married, and then use her status to go anywhere and do anything she wanted as long as he could pick her up now and again for jobs where she’d be useful. Alternatively, she could choose to travel with him a while. Learn new skills. Take lovers when it suited her. Kriff, if she wanted a kid, well, he could give her one, but raising it would be on her (he didn't say if he’d give her an egg via the usual means, or if he’d rustle one up somewhere legally questionable, and she didn't have the nerve to ask. It wasn’t even clear if he was attracted to her physically.)
So, he said. Most wouldn't be interested in that. But what did she think?
Liiju sat there, staring, barely able to swallow. She had no kriffing idea. This wasn't what she expected at all. He wasn't what she expected.
And something inside was suddenly really picking this insane offer over—and it stunned her, but no one had ever sat down, looked her directly in the eye, and simply offered her control of her destiny. Obviously, he got something out of it, but her sacrifices would be unusually easy… and his honesty and clarity seemed so much more prominent than his supposed cruelty as he spoke.
Could she even believe these Republic people fully? Did they really know him, her fellow Duros, or were they blinded by war?
...Or jealousy?
For strangely, he truly seemed to mean every word he shared, and she genuinely sensed that if she did refuse, he would leave her to the same fate she was wrestling with when she woke up that day.
Perhaps even an older man was a little handsome, in the way of a one who’d lived his life with laser purpose and no regret.
Bane slid a teacup across the table to her and cocked his brow, letting her think…
…Also, by the by, he noted, if she would accept, perhaps they could also talk about the Jedi artifacts in these parts that her parents told him about. A nice surprise, that was. And if she’d like to guide him to any, he could give her a split of any profit so she could start her life off comfortably. After all, there was a lot of profit in those old temples...
...I woke up before she said anything more.
But I think I knew what she was going to choose.

Divine Warriors and Relics Overhaul.
The last major post I made was about the regions in my MCD rewrite but this time around it's going to be the Divine Warriors because they scratch my brain. Also this post is probably going to be LONG.
The Divine Warriors are characters we have heard before such as Irene, Shad, Esmund, Enki, Menphia, but I added two more as well, that being Drorit and Fionn.
I did rework some of the titles given to the Divine Warriors as I just didn't like them. Shad the Destroyer specifically felt too on the nose.
So, we have
Irene the Matron
Shad the Vandal
Esmund the Guardian
Enki the Astrophile
Menphia the Fury
Drorit the Defiant
Fionn the Traveler
I will explain some of the changes
Shad the Vandal
As I stated earlier, "Destroyer" felt too on the nose. While Vandal isn't a positive trait, it doesn't imply that Shad has always been a bad individual and was just know for delinquent tendencies, a loose screw in the guard. This allows Shad to be seen as more than someone who was always evil, although I would like to keep "Shad the Destroyer" as another title for him after the betrayal and uprising of Shadow Knights.
Esmund the Guardian
I just didn't like "Protector." That's just it. Nothing deeper.
Enki the Astrophile
Enki was known as "the Keeper" which felt too vague to me. In my version, Enki was an archivist so he was keeper of archives, keeper of knowledge. Although that doesn't explain the "Astrophile" part since that means lover of stars. I can't explain it any further than Enki has a relationship with nature thus the stars and the stars have always been symbols of knowledge in my mind. So that's what I'm doing here.
And then explaining the two NEW characters, Drorit and Fionn.
Drorit the Defiant
Her title is self-explanatory along with Fionn's. Drorit tends to create riots for a cause and doesn't follow the rules, she hates having to follow strict order and wants people to have the ability to have freedom in their choices instead of walking on a tight rope.
Fionn the Traveler
Self-explanatory BUT Fionn is a traveler by sea and is a water spirit. At first, he's a scammy merchant who tries to trick the Divine Warriors into a pitiful deal and only ended up joining for selfish reasons but ends up becoming very valuable to the group, actually being the most well-versed in magick.
Now let's talk about the changes to the Divine Warriors themself.
Irene
Irene in the rewrite is a Swan Maiden. If you don't know what swan maidens are, they are shapeshifting women who can transform from a swan to a woman but they tend to still have their feathers in their human form. They're usually married off to higher up power, like kings, and have their feathers plucked so they cannot fly away.
The cause for the up rising / the final straw was Irene herself being taken away and forced to have her feathers plucked so she could be married off to the King of Ru'aun. She soon runs away with two guards of the king and begins to study magick with the rest of her group. Along the way, she makes allies and builds of bonds with others.
Once the King is overthrown, Irene declares that no one person should rule an entire region, and then settles down as lord and founder of Scaleswind, where the rest of the group followed her. At this point, she had perfected her magick of light and healing. Healing was a lost magick even then, but with a witch's help, she was able to bring that art back to life. Since she is a swan maiden, a sign of purity and hope, it was easier for her to learn.
When one of the guards was overcome with darkness, that left the Divine Warriors as the only ones who could take him down as there was no need to bring innocent parties into this. Before the final battle, Irene asked one of the group to put a magick seal onto gems where, if they were to die, their magick would automatically go to that gem. Each member wrote an encryption onto the gem and went into battle by Irene's command, who held back as a final answer to the problem.
As she felt her friends die, Irene felt herself begin to fade. She didn't head to the battle ground for months as she became a recluse and her villagers and knights began to worry. And one day, there was a big, flaming light that walked down the road, and Irene the Matron was gone.
Phoenix Drop was named after this event as many people believe the light was a Phoenix signifying the end of an era.
Esmund and Shad
Esmund and Shad are put together here as they were both Royal Guards of the King of Ru'uan, Kieran. Esmund was the head guard of the kingdom, while Shad was still but a trainee despite being there for so long due to his rebellious actions. He tended to disobey the king for fun rather than to make a statement, which made Esmund very annoyed with him. The two bumped heads a lot.
When Irene was transferred to the kingdom as Kieran's fiancé, the two were assigned to guard her. They obeyed this command, Esmund because he would always obey the king and Shad because he just wanted to see who on Earth (Known as Terra because MCD is special) would marry him. When they saw a swan maiden without her feathers, both were horrified.
Even though both had sworn their loyalty to the king, more or less, they both realized how cruel this was and how they couldn't let an unwilling party be stripped of anymore rights. They hatched a plan and later escaped to meet with the archivist of Yggdrasil. They continued to run, going to Tu'La, Ivorian, Umbre'en, Aerania, and Rigguard. All places being of worth as Umbre'en and Rigguard were Shad and Esmund's home regions, respectively, which they had seen how Ru'aun's monarchy was slowly taking over the other regions and the protests surrounding this. This sped up the process over overthrowing the king.
Esmund became head guard of Scaleswind, but Shad became Irene's right hand man. They had also become skilled in their magick sets which complimented the other; ice and protection (shielding) and shadow and imprisonment.
Both loved Irene and they both knew she could only love one of them or even neither of them. Esmund felt peace with that, while Shad felt a pain in his chest whenever he thought about the possibility.
Although Irene showed feelings towards Shad, he became more and more bottled up with disgust and despair towards those around him, feeling as though he is still looked down upon as some sort of rebel because of his previous actions and not with all of the good he has done. The darkness in his magick was dangerous to learn, as dangerous as Irene's light magick, and it began to physically and mentally consume him as he lost more control of his thoughts and anger. Esmund, Irene and the others desperately tried to get Shad out of this state, but it failed.
Shad later escaped to the Nether/Underworld (It's Both) trying to attempt to build a kingdom of his own, which previously was just a place of darkness. Esmund felt defeated, and made sure to inscribe his relic to go to someone who was loyal and protected, and did not strive for power.
Esmund was the last person to fall to Shad, he was hoping and praying that maybe if he still stood up and fought, Shad would eventually be reminded of their training days, but that never happened. Shad lost his heart.
Irene had put a seal on Shad's relic, after she defeated his, at least, physical form which put the magic in his relic. The seal being it can only go to someone who had a kind, intelligent soul.
Enki and Zoey
Enki and Zoey are siblings in my rewrite. Zoey was roughly around 10 when Irene was around even in MCD and I thought it would be nice for her to be related to one of them somehow. Enki is a well known archivist in Yggdrasil, near the kingdom in Ru'aun as they get most of their resources from there. Actually, Enki is THE royal archivist, holding all files and letters the king has received and sent, along with anyone else in connection with him. He was a trusted figure. His magick was not seen as a threat during this time as he was more so of a support type rather than an offensive type.
Enki kept a book of myths and read them to Zoey every night as well.
When Esmund, Shad and Irene came to him, asking for help about getting away from the king, relaying all of this information, he was hesitant. But since Esmund was head guard and Irene was the queen-to-be, he felt obligated to show them the files they wanted to see. After a lot of convincing, Enki eventually joins them, not before giving Zoey the book of myths.
After the kingdom fell, he joined Irene and the others in Scaleswind as the archivist there, still visiting Zoey every so often. Similarly to everyone else, Enki had mastered his magick of plants and stars (the stars part is with support -- typically asking for support spells from the galaxy. Isn't as OP as it sounds, it's like Wendy's support magick from Fairy Tail where they either feel lighter or move faster.)
When Shad strayed from the path and the relics were made, Enki went to a remote island (later where the Enki Warrior Tribe is located) and left all of his archives there, out of the weather and where they would be safe, and handed his relic over to Zoey. The encryption was simple, only one of his relatives of the next generation can inherent his power. Enki did not have any kids as much as he hoped he would.
Despite knowing that they would statistically fail against Shad, Enki still went all in when fighting, hoping he wasn't wrong even in the slightest.
Menphia and Drorit
Menphia and Drorit have a lot of overlap between their goals and morals and were also married! Canonical wives in my rewrite.
Menphia comes from Tu'La, a very chaotic region where magick beings and demons roam freely, Menphia being a cat yokai (like KC/Nana). Due her upbringing, she's hotheaded and quick to join fights, she bites. But she is a very supportive person, puts her entire being into everything she does, and loves hard. Most of the chaos as caused by the king as he actually turned Tu'La into just an extension of Ru'aun, so of course she would jump at the chance to overthrow him.
Drorit is from Ivorian and is a big protestor. Ivorian is known for it's precious gems and materials, and her being a person of the public, was scared what might happen if the king of Ru'aun, a tyrant, were to get their hands on these gems. Drorit is a ride or die sort of person, she is willing to do anything for anyone for the cause she believes in. Every action she did was not void of purpose, so she easily joined the Divine Warriors.
We know the drill, kingdom fell, Scaleswind was made, they joined, and they mastered their magick. Menphia's being fire (including explosions and lava) and ground, and Drorit's being wind and flight.
When Shad betrayed then and attempted to make a kingdom, Menphia felt betrayed and Drorit was sickened. Menphia viewed Shad as a brother figure and the two were very close, seeing her... Brother, basically, being taken over by the magick he chose to learn hurt her. Drorit wasn't all that close with Shad but knew him as a honest and passionate man, which is why she was sickened to see the outcome. Drorit did the most damage out of them all during the battle while Menphia was one of the last people standing with Esmund.
Drorit's relic was meant to go to someone who stuck to their beliefs, much like Drorit. Menphia's relic is to go to someone who knows the ins and outs of every battle.
Fionn
Finally, Fionn.
A traveling merchant from Aerania, a region KNOWN for trade, and him being a water spirit. Water spirits can be a little devious and Fionn was just that, always being able to swindle people into giving him ever so slightly more money than intended. That's also what he wanted to do with the Divine Warriors as they caught him on one of their off days, until he say the gems they had in their possession with Drorit had taken from home. He soon warmed up to them, agreeing with them, and faking the passion. Like Flynn Rider/Eugene from Rapunzel.
Along the way, he realized how interesting they all were and how adventure was truly something he liked more than selling stuff for outrageous prices. He enjoyed being with them and learning about their lives.
Once the king was overthrown and Scaleswind was made, he.... Get this... Mastered his magick, being water and storms.
Fionn was the one who created the relics, he was the one who enchanted them and inscribed them with the seal. He had an old book he bought off another merchant that had the ability to take away magick and let it back out depending on how you write it out. He was the only Divine Warrior not to die in that battle as he was the one to hide the relics. Fionn's relic is meant to go to someone who understands the meaning of trust.
After Irene's disappearance, Fionn died from heartbreak.
This was just one big word dump and I am very sorry, but just a little more of you're time and I will talk about
The Relics.
Irene's Relic
Similar to the one that is in the original MCD, where it looks like a bunch of flames but instead it had light purple on the outside but a deep violet as the center. The relic is still in Irene's Dimension in the rewrite.
Shad's Relic
Somewhat the same as Irene's relic with the looks of flames, although they are more scattered and wide. It's also a light pink relic with a red diamond in the center. This relic is also in Irene's Dimension, so she can forever protect it.
Esmund's Relic
A square relic with rounded edges and carved like a diamond, it has varying hues of blue. The relic was in the possession of O'Khasis until Garroth faked his death in help with his mother, who handed him the relic to both protect him and the relic itself.
Enki's Relic
The relic resembles a bug with a pale green center and a dark forest green on the outside, some of it stemming off to look like "legs." The relic is in Zoey's possession BUT the Enki Warrior Tribe says that they have it to bring comfort to everyone else.
Menphia's Relic
A cross shaped relic with a vibrant orange hue that leads to a borderline red. The relic was found in the Nether when Aphmau was saving the werewolf pup from there. Shad had stolen Menphia's relic which caused the Nether to turn into a firey pit of hell.
Drorit's Relic
Two sharp, skinny diamond shaped relics with a piercing teal color. The relics were previously in the palace in Ivorian before the kingdom fell and was reborn with a tyrant, it is now in a treasure hunting guild known for criminal activities.
Fionn's Relic
A water droplet shape relic with a deep, blood red color. The relic was placed in a underwater temple, which Fionn had flooded.
If you have ANY questions regarding my rewrite, please ask. I am currently working on getting a stable rewrite on the characters right now so by all means, THINGS WILL CHANGE and have been changing.
Thanks for reading :3

Just an Accident 3
I had posted this in ao3 and I forgot to post it here, sorry. Also I want yall to remember that tommy and her are married for a long time, it's kinda difficult to forget someone that you have loved for so long.
smut. with tommy. that's the warning.
The conversation with Alfie was honestly a bit awkward.
She tried to explain a bit about her relationship with Tommy and how he ignored her.
"Look, the thing between both of us... it was a little accident that I know we can both keep up with, right?"
"Fuckin' unbelievable you are.” he said.
"It's not unbelievable thinking about how Tommy is a total bastard with me though. I just want you to know that I enjoyed what happened.” She was so close to him, with her hands in his shoulders looking at him directly. He wasn't nervous. It surprised her. At least, she seemed to have a type.
She knew that he was going to say something but he was soon interrupted by a voice.
"I see that you're knowing my wife pretty well.”
Damn. It's Tommy.
She removed her hands from Alfie's shoulders to look at her husband.
"You're a lucky man, Tommy." he said.
There was a moment, that for a second she thought Thomas already knew. There was a pause, a silence that for some reason didn't feel awkward, but tense. It was a tense moment, and as she waited for Thomas's response, she felt the waiting gnaw at her.
The second the two of them stared into each other's eyes felt like an eternity. And she couldn't help but think, am I really the only reason why the atmosphere is so tense or is there some reason that I don't know about? And most likely it was the second option. She wasn't the reason why the two of them looked at each other that way, she wad just one more fuel on the fire. And for some reason, she was relieved.
"I know."
The tension had decreased in intensity, but it hadn't finished. Thomas said goodbye, she knew that. But she was so lost in Alfie watching her, and as she watched, her mind kept replaying that night at the same time she was analyzing her situation. She thought about how she probably would stay stuck next to Tommy like one more lamp in the house, remembering that time when she tasted freedom one last time. How demeaning.
They were leaving the event and there was only silence. She was used to silence, it had been years since the last time she had had a long conversation with her husband, without it being an argument, of course.
"What were you doing with him in that place?"
She looked at him for a second, every day she was more surprised by the hypocrisy that Tommy handled.
"Talking."
"Talking about what?"
"Do you really think I can't have something in common with someone?"
"I think you may have something in common with someone, but I don't think you have anything to talk with Alfie Solomons."
"Who says? Maybe he and I have more in common than you and me."
"Anyone can have more in common with you than you and me. I don't get the point you're trying to make."
She was going to admit it, his comment had hurt. He had definitely touched that part of her that adored the Tommy she married. And that only meant one thing.
A part of her still loved him.
She wondered if at some point her love would stop being her great weakness.
The way home was silent. And in the entire conversation, the two of them had not looked at each other once. She supposed that said something about their relationship.
When her children arrived, they received them, and she could stop wanting to disappear from the face of the earth since they only made it more difficult to flee from her situation.
She hated to think that she loved them more than they loved her. That they would never be replaceable but she was easily replaced by any woman they liked. After all they were children, they had no conscience, right? One day they would realize how important she was. Someday they would all realize how relevant it was to have her in her life.
"Why aren't you asleep yet? It's too late, go to bed."
She went to her room without looking back, she started to undress, put on her sleeping clothes and proceeded to lie down to try to fall asleep. When she got it she began to dream. She dreamed very nice things, she dreamed that she was an internationally famous actress. She was enjoying her dream when a hand woke her up.
A hand that caressed her clothes, at the same time that it gently lifted her sleeping dress.
"What are you doing, Tommy?"
"Just touching my wife, I guess I'm within my rights."
"Just say what you need to. I know full well that you're not touching me like that because it provoked you." Silence.
She proceeded to turn around to face him face to face. They looked at each other for a moment and then he kissed her. It was obvious that he wanted her kiss to last longer than it really was going to last.
"Why don't you go with one of your mistresses to satisfy you."
"Shut up."
They started kissing again, while they kissed, he touched her tits. He caressed, squeezed and slapped. She felt like he was squeezing her nipples hard so she cried out in pain.
"Shh, you're going to wake up the kids and we don't want that."
He put a finger inside her pussy, but one finger turned into three and three of his fingers turned into his cock. It felt so good to have him inside her.
Tommy was changing speed and she felt how her breasts were bouncing, sometimes she made small moans so he put his hand to cover her mouth. Her back arched as he pushed her penis deeper and deeper. She couldn't think of anything as he took her, all she could do was ask for more. In a moment of minimal awareness she asked him not to finish inside her, which he accepted.
And when they finished they both fell asleep. Or at least she knew that Thomas closed his eyes, she knew that he hardly ever slept much.
She woke up to find him already dressed, about to leave.
"Morning. Have the children woke up yet?"
"Yes, they are already eating."
"You have already eaten?"
"No."
"Do you want us to eat together?"
"No, I'll eat elsewhere, I'd like to be on time for something."
"It's okay."
She spent her day in bed, after having breakfast with her children and taking them to school. She felt that she deserved a day in bed. The day had honestly gone by very quickly, she always wondered why the days had been going by so quickly.
The days passed and Tommy treated her very well, in fact. He would buy things for her and he would take her and the children to the park to play with other children. 15 days had passed since that night.
That day she was going to bed with him when he told her something that took her by surprise.
"I love you, good night." he leaned closer and placed a kiss on her cheek. She froze and she could only think of telling him one thing.
"I love you too."
"Good to know." He said in a extremely suspicious way.
"Why is it good to know? You already know that, I married you."
"Yeah, but for a while I thought you were doing things behind my back." She got nervous, as a consequence her hands began to sweat.
"What are you talking about?"
"I don't know, like conspiring against me."
"I wouldn't do that."
"Don't think I don't know what you were up to with Alfie."
"I wasn't up to anything."
"It would make sense, since I have done nothing but be a good husband.  I have bought you things, gone out with the children for a walk, I've been good to you."
There she realized that he thought she was conspiring against him with Alfie. And that's why he had been being considerate of her.
She didn't know if she was relieved or more concerned. What she did know is that in either of the two she was an unloyal woman. She didn't like that Thomas ended up like the saint.
And from one moment to the next, the conversation that started with "I love you" ends with "Now! Let's stop this shit. I just want you to know that nothing is escaping me. You can't just betray me and hope that I won't find out."

I think people who keep criticising Splinter and calling him a bad parent didn't understand his character or they didn't even tried to. So let's recap because honestly I think Rise!Splinter have one of the best back stories of all the versions.
THIS MAN IS TRAUMATIZED EVERYONE.
FIRST he saw his mother sacrifice herself because of the Hamato clan, because they had to do that to protect the world from shredder. What he was like 5? If this is not a trauma then Idk what is, I mean she disappeared in front of him while he was crying and praying her to stay (I'm not crying you are)
THEN he probably fought with his grandpa his whole life because of that and I can assure yall that constantly fighting with a family member is not good for mental health (I can't believe I have to clarify this).
THEN the woman he loved and wanted to marry tricked and kidnapped him and FORCED him to fight (and maybe kill) for like 10 years, just for her personal fun (no hate here we love a business woman) and I don't think this was good for his mental state.
THEN he was basically kidnapped again because a crazy (no hate here too we love our gay goat alchemist) yokai wanted to create bloody warriors with Lou Jitsu's blood. Testing all of this on children.
THEN AFTER ALL OF THIS HE WAS MUTATED. He started to live in a body he didn't recognize, he didn't know how to live with all these changes because he couldn't even come back to the human world now he was a rat and how was he supposed to ask for help? He couldn't. Because turning into a rat wasn't enough he was also SUDDENLY father of four little turtles.
If he wasn't ready to be a father and deal with normal children he surely didn't know how to deal with turtle toots at first.
So imagine the pressure this man have felt at some point.
All his life was a disaster after another disaster.
The loss, the fight, the betrayal.
He was used and suddenly he wasn't himself anymore. This man after all of this clearly have PTSD and Depression and you can't tell me otherwise because even if this is a funny show all the roads lead to Rome.
His back story is telling this if you listen to it. Splinter's mental health is not good and I'm not saying he was a good father because obviously is difficult to be a good father after all of this trauma and issues. But despite all he raised four special boys and he did it with LOVE more than anything. He did it despite everything he had been through.
And honestly I don't even remember a single scene where the turtles where kids and he wasn't there btw.
In the end: I love this rat man more than I love myself.
