But because it means safety. #Because it was something he was denied and the idea of not having control in his life again is unforgivable. #'Happiness' isn't a goal. We are looking at someone still stuck at the bottom of Maslow's hierarchy of needs. #Everything and everyone is a piece in a game. Bonds and friendships are assets. People are dispensable. #He wants to climb for the sake of climbing. He wants praise and recognition because he feels it is deserved. It's all so hollow. #We could go deeper into his psyche on this. #But these are also tags under a comic in which 'evil penis music' is the punchline.

It is so fun watching Orym awkwardly go through the song and dance of formal military presentation - the speeches in front of cheering crowds, the rewarding of titles and honors far too overwrought for the bloody work they represent (Orym could kill someone in half the time it would take him to say, I am Orym, Savior Blade of the Tempest) - because it's possible there's nothing this guy gives less of a shit about than his own accolades or legacy. Orym just wants to be good, even as he becomes less and less certain what that means, even as he thinks that it would be so much easier to give up on that. He wants to feel like he's done something right, for maybe the first time since Will and Derrig died.

And so he fumbles through the rituals, and holds up his shield for the people of Zephrah to bear witness to, and extracts what really matters from Keyleth (who understands the frivolity of this all better than anybody) referring to him as a Savior Blade of the Tempest; not a fancy name for people to call him, but affirmation that he can save people, someone, anyone, at least this time. At least with the Hells at his side.

It's so touching to see Kipps change despite everything he's been through.

He is an example of how shine, pride, and "greatness" of Fittis is projected at young people, making them feel like being at this fancy agency is the main anchor in their life, a ground for self-worth. How selfish and cruel it is to make kids more scared of simply growing up and losing their talent than die supposedly with "Honor" and get some crap of a picture on the wall. Fear of being irrelevent, useless. The pain of changing. And honestly, can you blame Kipps, who just wanted to be seen and feel like he's worth it?

He lost his team, lost agents, and in the end, realized it actually meant nothing to Fittis when it was everything to him.

Another broken soul, another victim of The Problem and another castle, crumbled by it. He never wanted you to hate him.

#Personal #You know I've never forgotten about this show for a single day even after it ended #Just thinking about it makes me happy already but I recently listened to all the songs again #and directly interacting with the show and rewatching the clips from it hits so much different #I really need to do a full rewatch someday I haven't watched the show in ages #Just episodes I love most or something random for the content making purposes which is certainly not the same as watching for pure enjoymen #I probably realized it long ago but I'm currently in the 'analyzing my life' state of mind #and this show means so much to me on a personal level too because it brings up so many important topics to me as a person #And it just does it so well it's clear to see that creators actually cared about the story they wanted to tell #And really EoA also has absolutely fascinating and unique worldbuilding #and in the combination of important not trivial messages and dynamic layered characters this is just such a solid show #It really deserved to get more recognition #I wouldn't even say attention because lots of attention may cause more harm than good #It's actually more about recognition and acknowledgement #Really I'm not even talking about what a huge impact being a part of the fandom has had on my life #it's worth the whole separate post #I'm just talking about the show itself and how great and meaningful it is #Anyway EoA warms my heart and I'm so happy I encountered this show

We have so little about her, but she's such a beautiful character, such a beautiful woman in every way, so I'm hyping this underrated Star Wars woman up!

At age 16 she completed her three challenges of the mind, body and heart to show herself worthy of Alderaan's throne.

She fell climbing the Appenza peak, loses her heart and lungs but survived after inmediatly getting mechanical pulmonodes.

She send aid to planets ravaged by the Separatists. Doctors, engineers, teachers, food, medicine, materials and anything else they needed.

She gave Bail the idea of an alliance and an active opposition to Palpatine's regimen.

She fund the rebelion with the Crown wealth and brought other wealthy people to help the cause.

She adopted a baby and loved her as her own, loved her daughter more than her own life.

Made Bail realized that war would be necesary at some point, and helped him understand that wasn't against Alderaan's values of pacifism.

Always had time for her daughter, even with all her Queen duties, her work as Minister of Education and her and Bail's rebel activities, she always had time to play with Leia, to walk with her, to teach her everything a mother should teach her children, to give her baby a bath, to feed her, to rock her to sleep.

She managed to keep Alderaan free during 2 decades of the authoritarian Empire.

She gain the loyalty of the people of Alderaan. People didn't fear her, people trust her.

Made Tarkin believe he had walked into a drunk party and not into a rebel meeting.

Wanted to save every person they could as soon as she saw the death star took position above them.

Mastered hand-to-hand combat.

Teached Alderaan's next generation and youngs about Alderaan's values, culture between other things

Concept: Duke’s pupils glow white when he uses his powers. White rather than gold matches his bat symbol and fits that he’s about light itself, not just sunlight. The pupil glowing represents how his retina, the part which the pupil opens to and actually responds to and absorbs light, would probably be the part affected by his metahuman power to absorb light in superhuman ways; is a somewhat more subtle power indicator than glowing irises; avoids giving yet another black character/PoC unnaturally non-brown eyes, even temporarily; and tell me circles of bright white inside dark brown irises isn’t an immensely cool image. Light in the darkness. Like the classic solid white eyes in Batman’s cowl in some art styles.
