I feel like it would be fun to see Leo's actor in Mole Song Final play Ryuji... that's the only person that comes to mind 😭😭

BUT YEAH 4 was the first mainline entry with (proper) faceclaims! I would kill to see faceclaims get to play their characters. Because they actually aren't mocapped by them, just voiced and scanned in--the acting is all done by RGGS' mocap actors. If you're mentally ill enough you'll start to notice acting decisions that differ from what the actual actor would've gone for; Arakawa doesn't cry the way Nakai does, for example. NGL the animations get kind of uncanny at times if you're too mentally ill so I would not recommend paying quite that much attention lol

I was trying not to think about it though because even if we By Some Miracle got to "season 7" (8 if they do 0) it's entirely possible Nakai and/or Tsutsumi won't be acting anymore by then 😭😭😭😭😭Tsutsumi wants to start directing by the time he's 60... That's chiefly why I kinda wanted it to be an adaptation of 7 before we knew any of the specifics... But Oh Well, it is what it is

ohhh yeah nonono ive definitely noticed DONT WORRY. whenever i draw or write fics, i always try to imagine the actual character first to see if the expression or dialogue fits them and if it's believable. having dove more into tsutsumi and nakai movies and shows, the difference is REALLY apparent to me (in that vein tho, it's easy for me to see them as individual characters as opposed to actors playing characters, so it's a little bit of a win for me somehow lmao)

I love being nice to people. It’s seriously not that hard to be nice people and I don’t understand people who go out of their way to be dicks

#sass talks #so i spent my morning at a local starbucks to work on grad school work #and this particular starbucks has like half booths against the back wall #i'm always very lucky to get one whenever i go #but most times it's only like three big tables because people make the six actual tables into three big ones by pushing two tables together #no one needs that much table space unless you've got a fuckton of books and shit #so when i noticed that a girl needed a wall plug (because all the tables against the back wall have plugs on the booth)#i split my table into two and gave her half of my table #which was great #she was super grateful #and then when she moved to another table #she split that table into two so that another person could have said table #and i always opened the table next to me so that a person looking for a seat could have it #it's literally not that hard to be nice #and it makes you feel good for the rest of the day #small acts of kindness can make people's day #and it was nice to make people smile #literally do not feel bad about splitting up my table when all i had was my laptop #yeah i had my purse and my backpack but i could just shove those behind me #i would rather have less space then have someone go sit outside where it's cold

I dont believe in ghosts personally but sometimes its fun to think that it might be a thing, even if I highly doubt they are real.

One example is how my grandma has a small cabin in the back yard of her home and her old dog, as well as my cat Kohga, are both buried behind the cabin.

The interesting thing is that my little brother was supposed to sleep in that cabin in a bunk bed, and one of our cousins had the other bunk, and my brother kept insisting there was something in the closet, or that someone was knocking on the door and windows. I have no idea if my brother actually believes in ghosts because I havent really heard him talk about it at all, but it's interesting how he couldnt sleep out there at all because he was too scared to and kept insidting there was a ghost with them there, when our cousin didnt believe him at all and tried to tell him multiple times that there werent any ghosts there.

Grandmas current dog also REFUSES to go inside that cabin, he will come to a dead stop outside of the cabin and refuse to enter it, and the few times he has been taken into it anyways he has just been standing at the door whimpering and whining and waiting to be let out. He also doesnt go in the general area where the two graves are.

While I dont believe in ghosts, me and my grandma joke about the dog and Kohga haunting the cabin (maybe haunting isnt the right word really but idk) and its kind of nice to think that maybe there is a reason to why the dog reacts like that. I wonder if the same would be true if the cabin was in another spot, or if the graves were somewhere else, or if the dog along with my brother would still react like that.

It's also interesting how my brother is scared of possible ghosts existing, when he has no problem watching horror movies. To be fair I can handle horror pretty well too but ghosts in horror is the one thing I cant handle, so its possible that he is just like me where he doesnt really believe in ghosts but the concept scares him.

Im not sure tho, since I have never heard him talk about ghosts and whether he believe in them or not, but it's still interesting to think about him being scared of sleeping in the cabin as well as the dog being scared of even being in there, and also the two graves being right at the back of the cabin.

Maybe there is something going on there or im looking into it too much, im not sure. Im leaning more towards the latter tho since well, I dont really believe in ghosts. Me and my partner will probably go there some day when they are here tho, since they expressed interest in checking it out.

If anyone else has any input on what they think about that situation or similar ones then please do tell me. All i ask for is that people dont call me dumb for not believing in ghosts being a thing, and for people to not say people who do believe in ghosts are dumb for believing in them. I just want more people's input on this situation and what people think about this specific situation.

Last night I had a dream where one other grandpa neighbor of mine had died and it made me so sad that I cried to his wife in the dream, apologizing for not knowing he had died.

I've been sitting on this pattern and tutorial for a while now! so time to finally share it with you! I was lamenting that the jellycat pip and sugar mice were long retired and difficult to get your hands on unless you are willing to pay much more than they retailed for each mouse, so i decided to try and eyeball a pattern and make some myself! they're not exact as i only used constructed visual references but they're close! please note that this pattern set is intended for personal use only. Rough tutorial under the cut!

This pattern is for printing onto A4 but you can check your scale with the measurements I've provided or just play around with how big or small you want to try and make them! i didn't really get any wip photos of pip mouse but it's method is largely the same with the nose being the major change, which i will detail in text in the instructions below.

for sugar mouse i would recommend using polar fleece as it will act the right way for the ears to do their squishy marshmallow looking thing. but minky should also work or other similar fabrics! for pip mouse if you can find a similar curly looking fabric with a thin backing that'll be ideal but fleece will also work well, you just wont get the furry texture, you want a fabric with a little bit of stretch to it. i however would not recommend fabrics like felt or non stretch cotton for these guys as it's likely to not take shape the same as there's no give to the fabric.

once you have printed out the pattern and cut the pieces in your fabric, you'll want to sew the ears up and turn them inside out, then put them aside for later. just leave them as is for now but here you can see i was playing around with pinching the turned through ear into shape.

Then moving on, sew the back pieces together along the spine and front of face. you then want pull the bottom open ends apart gently and place the open sides flat up against the base piece so that they're aligned, it can be good to pin this in place so it doesn't shift.

then, get your tail rope, and tie a knot at either end, placing the base of it inbetween the seam at the butt so that it'll sit in the right place, then sew the seam up directly with the tail in place, make sure you sew through the rope to secure it and make sure it doesnt shift. Sew around the bases seam leaving a hole in one side so that you can then turn your mouse through.

once turned through you will want to stuff your mouse with polyfill quite a bit so it takes shape! i like to put weighted beans in mine for extra effect, you can use dried rice or wheat too, just sew a little circle pouch a bit smaller that the mouses base with scrap fabric and fill and seal! then insert into the turning hole while you stuff. once stuffing is done you can sew the hole up with a ladder stitch. the weight from the beads will allow your mouse to sit up quite well.

next you will want to get those ears you put aside, take each corner and bring the ends together in the middle. then sew them gently together at the ends with one or two stitches in about the same spot. you want them to look 3d so dont sew the ends to the back of the ear, just end to end so they meet in the center.

Then pin the ears in place on the head

then you need to ladder stitch the ears in place while they're pinned so they dont shift around, go all the way around the outside edge of each.

now you're almost done! next they just need a face! sugar mouse only needs embroidery by way of a french knot for both the eyes and nose (you can find good video tutorials on how to sew a french knot online), pip mouse will also need a french knot for the eyes but has a separate process for it's nose. (for the pip mouses nose you will need to leave the marked nose hole open and then stitch the nose fabric to the square nose backing in line with the dotted direction on the pattern, (it should look kind of baggy when it's unstuffed) sew it up completley with no hole, then cut a tiny slit in the backing and add polyfill there before closing with a basic stitch, then you ladder stitch the nose directly to the marked nose hole)

in order to hide the embroidery anchor knots i find the best way is to start by going down through the middle of the ears and then coming back up where you want the eye to be, and then going back down and up through the ear for the finishing knot, as it creates a very easy cover for them and looks nice and clean!

then you have yourself a little buddy!
