oh tmnt 2012 is just such an interesting show to me because of the way it frames itself as this silly lighthearted comedic kid-bubbly 3D animated take on the turtles when underneath the surface are layers and layers of genuinely intriguing storyline and character trauma and backstories and dark arcs that are just So fascinating and become so much more captivating the more you analyze it all.

one of the biggest things that made me fall back in love with this show (harder than i did when i was a kid) is that, when watching the show, you see all these moments that you don’t think much of at first, because they’re executed in a way that seems like a joke or not something that serious, but then if you were to really, actually describe what’s happening to someone down on paper, you realize, “holy shit, this is actually so dark.” and for a KID’S show?? i love it so much

I wish tma 2 would be about Jon, Martin, Tim and Sasha finding the tapes from alternate universe, listening to them and trying to prevent their deaths.

Everyone is horrified by the upcoming events, especially Jon, who's going to ruin his relationship with Tim, lose both of his friends and become a monster. Tim, Sasha and Martin, of course, are terrified too, but they are not going to leave Jon on his own. So, they unite to make a plan. They do not separate, deciding that it's too dangerous (but also wanting to spend time with each other), so they start living together. Eventually they grow emotionally closer by talking about feelings and showing how they care about each other. Jon apologizes to everyone for his behavior, talks to Tim about their relationship. Martin gets love from his friends that he deserves. Trio gets protective of Sasha. Everyone assures Jon that he is not and never was a monster.

In the end they all become one little family, survive all horrors, kill Elias and live happily ever after.
