If you think about it carefully, Jess and Sam are the only true love couple in the whole series.

Mary and John were set up and manipulated by angels.

Cassie and Dean were too short-lived and Cassie broke it off two times.

Lisa was only a dream to Dean, even when he cared a lot about Lisa and Ben. It was also Sam who suggested he lives with them.

Meg wasn't in love with Castiel, but she cared about him.

Hannah was too much Angel to be a love interest for Castiel.

Eileen was manipulated by Chuck and broke it off with Sam. She even questioned Reality.

The relationship with Rowena never truly grew because Rowena doesn't do love. She couldn't even call friends her friends. But at least she said she was fond of him.

Castiel and Dean were victims of homophobic audiences or writers. Still not sure.

While Sam and Jess were brought together by demons, they weren't manipulated by fate or arrows like Mary and John. It was true love.

Sam lied, but Jess seemed to be quite accepting of said secrets (she knew about his knives and didn't say much that his brother broke into their home). Sam is a hunter because of her. For five seasons she was his motivation and even in season 15 he said he still thinks about her.

True love. 💖

Like one second, Sam's wrapped up in Dean's arms, bleeding out from his stab wound, and the next Jess appears, looking like an early seasons angel

Sam asks "am I dead"

And Jess asks sweetly "why do you think that"

And then Sam starts to cry and say "because you're dead"

And then Jess takes his hand and they go for a walk and he apologizes for what happened to her and she answers that she knows what happened and she understands and forgives him
