Life is so weird. Yesterday afternoon I was feeling down because it’s been 3+ weeks in NY and stupid NY State is dragging their feet on setting up (only) Kevin’s health insurance. Can’t jet off to Europe for 3+ months until we get physicals + go to the dentist.

I just had this overwhelming feeling of paranoia about still being in the Long Island suburbs as it gets darker/colder but somehow this calmness swept over just as quickly. My inner voice said “don’t judge this moment, just be here. be open to the magic of the universe and amazing things can happen.”

My MIL tells me last night that my SIL/BIL are going to Cancun for their 10 year wedding anniversary. Their youngest is 5 months old and they originally planned to leave all 3 kids with the au pair. They realize last night: this kid only drinks breast milk and there’s no stash. They didn’t want to bring the baby with zero help and they didn’t want to hire a nanny via their hotel.

They offered us $700 to babysit their child for 4 days in Cancun (the rest of the trip we are paying, but this was their offer of what they’d pay us to babysit for our nephew). We took all day running numbers to calculate the opportunity costs but we just booked our tickets!!!

Flying to Cancun at 730a and we will be in Mexico until 11/4. My 30th birthday will be spent in Mexico with my little family 🥹 After that, I’m surprising my family in Miami who are already desperately missing Sky 😂

I’m going to be so tired but I’m so excited!! We get to test out how being a family of 4 will be too 😬

if there's one thing this last episode has affirmed for me about Alastor it's that he FUCKING HATES being reminded that he's not the most powerful creature in hell.

Like, he hates being ignored by Carmilla when she says she doesn't care why he was gone

He hates Lucifer ON SIGHT

He threatens to KILL Husk when he dares to mention that Alastor is working for someone more powerful than him

and now this.

Alastor freaking out because he almost died. Something almost killed him. He can fucking die. There is something more powerful than him out there. And it's not something he can ignore or brush off because it almost killed him.

Alastor hates the reminder that he's not as powerful as he tells people he is. He isn't indestructible, he isn't invincible. And he fucking hates that.
