Me again! Could I maybe request a follow up to the lawyer/Thena raising her sisters au? The first one was so good and I'd love to see what happens when Gil comes over to make the lasagna. Thank you :)
"Hey!"
Gil looked up from chopping, just barely catching two heads ducking down behind the back of the couch again to resume pretending to watch tv. He chuckled, glancing briefly to his right, "it's okay, I don't mind."
Thena shook her head though, focusing back on cutting parsley with needlessly forceful chops. "They're only lingering so they can ask you invasive questions, despite me debriefing them earlier."
It was funny that she called it 'debriefing' them. But she had warned him that she didn't have much in the way of friends, so don't be concerned by the endless questions of being her boyfriend, or at least liking her, if not being accused of having a long standing affair with her. That, he had blushed at.
He shrugged though, laughing to himself as he caught the odd eye glancing his way again. "They're kids, I don't blame them for being curious. I did kind of come over uninvited."
"Trust me, it's never gone well when I've attempted to tackle our mother's recipes before," Thena muttered, looking at the hand written notes lovingly propped open on a book stand for their reference. She looked down and pointed with the knife, "like this?"
Gil smiled; the parsley looked like it had been murdered and sawed. He nodded, "looks great. Honestly, even finer--the smaller the better when it goes in the ricotta."
Thena accepted the instruction, resuming hacking at it.
Gil winced for the poor cutting board. "May I?"
Thena just watched as he reached over gently. He moved one hand to the back of the blade and adjusted the wrist of her other, demonstrating the rocking motion of a cleaner cut. "Oh."
"It'll be easier on your hand," he suggested lightly, leaving his ears and the cutting board's longevity aside.
Thena eyed him and the mirepoix he was stirring in the pot with sizzling meat already in it. She continued his work, slower and clumsier, but following his demonstration. "Thanks--this is what I was talking about."
He shrugged, though, adding the garlic and tomato paste to the loudly sizzling pot. "Hey, you wouldn't know this stuff unless it was taught to you. I just happened to be in the kitchen with my grandma a lot as a kid."
Thena stared down at her parsley, looking more and more fine by the moment. "Mother knew I was terrible in the kitchen. Father would remind me ceaselessly that a wife who couldn't cook was like a car with no wheels."
Gil frowned, "that's a pretty messed up thing to say. And to your own daughter?"
She gave him a half a smile and a raise of her sharp eyebrow, "you can tell why Mother's keepsakes are all over the house, while I didn't even keep the car that was in Father's name."
He gave her a little laugh at her joke, no matter how dark. "I guess I don't blame you for that. Moms hold the family together most of the time anyway, right?--taste."
Thena blinked at the speed with which he transitioned from one subject back to their dinner. But she accepted the bite of carrot, blowing before popping it into her mouth. "Hm, still crunchy, but it tastes good."
"Adding the tomato paste and frying it a little first helps get that tinny, acidic taste out, and sweetens it." He reached for the wine, adding a healthy glug or two before reaching for the canned tomatoes. He nodded his head, "want a glass?"
Her eyes darted to the living room.
She was a dutiful guardian, mother or not. Gil smiled, though, nudging the bottle, "one glass won't hurt, right? We're not going anywhere for the rest of the night, and they're fine."
Thena eyed the bottle before sighing, "there are some glasses on the top shelf next to the fridge, I think."
She thought, as in she wasn't sure. But Gil wiped his hands off on the towel he had thrown over his shoulder and moved to the fridge. There were indeed wine glasses still in there, upside down and everything. He pulled two out, admiring the light feel and crystalline shine of them.
"Hey," he whispered, pouring them each a modest glass of a mere few ounces each. He clinked them lightly too, although the quality of the glass still made them ting loudly. "To the first lasagne of many, right?"
That made her smile, and his own smile brightened. Whether it was lasagne or anything else from their mother's hand written recipes, he was happy to help with it. She picked up her glass and gave him a gentle smile over the rim of it. "To the inaugural lasagne."
Her lips looked even more full against the rim of a glass, and when she pulled away he realised for the first time that she wore just a little lip colour when they were in the office.
He averted his eyes from the faint pink on the rim of her glass, looking into his own swirl of red wine. Moving back to the pot he smelled the bubbling mixture. "Usually I'd say to let it simmer for a while, but about fifteen minutes should be fine so we can get things in the oven."
Thena nodded after another sip of her own. "Is the parsley cut enough?"
It was now practically a fine paste it was so chopped. The cutting board was stained green, which of course meant a lot of its flavour was stuck in the wood grain as opposed to still in the leaves. But he grinned, "looks great."
Thena rolled her eyes.
"Hey, really," he laughed, reaching around her for the bowl of ricotta to mix the greens into. "And you said you were terrible at this."
She sighed again, letting her eyes drift back to the couch and to the tv playing some kind of reality show. "Just ask them about the first time I tried baking cookies for them. I'm forbidden from contributing to bake sales. I think they nearly called the CDC on me."
Gil laughed from his belly at that. The heads on the couch turned to watch them again but he was busy looking at Thena, who was laughing faintly at her own joke. Or maybe she was laughing because he was. Either way, she had a cute laugh. "Come on, it couldn't be that bad."
She shook her head though, "poor Sersi had to take over for me to get even one pan of edible merchandise. I had to write a note excusing my poor performance."
Gil caught two pairs of eyes fully spying on them, getting caught be damned. But he slid against the edge of the counter to lean closer. "I mean, I would think they could give you a bit of a break, all things considered."
Thena's expression turned gloomy again, staring into her wine. "I think they do. But everything they send home for them to do feels herculean after a long week, or a big case, or soccer, or-"
The oven beeped loudly at them, announcing its preheating.
Thena gave him a light smile again as she retrieved the casserole dish they had selected. "Ready?"
"I'd say so," he replied gently. He picked up a ladle, first putting in some sauce on the bottom. "This helps to steam the noodles and prevent burning on the bottom layer."
"Hm," Thena mused as she watched him layer the first set of lasagne sheets in. "I thought it was a meaningless old tradition. I never imagined there was a reason for it."
Gil looked back at the recipe, "it's one of those things that you only know if you know. I'm sure your mom never thought of adding in stuff like this."
"No, I suppose not."
He gulped, wondering if he should have brought it up at all. But Thena's smile, although wistful, wasn't really sad. He pointed, "it's your time to shine."
She laughed faintly, scooping out the mixture of ricotta and her pulverised parsley. "I'm lucky I have your expertise."
He blushed. She could have asked him for anything, after he had found out what kind of day she'd had when she texted. He would have fished the moon out of the sky if she asked.
She flicked the spoon for the last glob before he layered on more sauce. "I may have to call on you again the next time we open the book."
He grinned down at the noodles as he laid them. Thena's hands were long but slim, her fingers so delicate and pretty. His sleeves were rolled up for cooking, as were hers. She looked half his size, standing next to him. "Any time, you name it."
"Careful Gil," she murmured, and it almost sounded like she was teasing him playfully. "If this turns out well, they'll be demanding you cook for them all the time."
He was pretty sure he would agree to that, whether by the girls' demand or their sister's. "The defense rests, your honour."
Thena rolled her eyes again at his corny lawyer joke, but she was still smiling at least.
"Okay," he breathed as he ladled on the last layer of sauce. "Get some cheese on this and I believe we'll have a beautiful lasagne in about an hour."
"About an hour?" she asked firmly as she sprinkled on the cheese mixture from the bag. "Don't underestimate my ability to ruin an hour's worth of hard work in the last ten minutes."
"Okay, okay," he chuckled. Thena was adamant in everything she did, from her casework in court, to her determination that she was a blackhole of culinary ability. "Set a timer for 40 minutes, then we'll check it, and I like to broil it for the last five or so, just to get that leopard spotting on the cheese."
"Yes, Chef," she purred (definitely teasing him).
He buried his nose in his wine glass again. He was just about empty, but Thena definitely didn't drink regularly with two teenagers at home, and he didn't come over to get buzzed anyway.
"Here," she said gently, reaching for the glass with the bottle already in hand. He had a polite decline on his tongue when she pulled his hand with hers, topping him up. "I owe you far more than dinner and some wine, but I guess it's a start."
"You don't owe me anything Thena," he frowned even as she poured herself a little more too. He leaned forward again, "really."
She just looked at him, and she was back to being completely unreadable. He dreaded to think what it was like to go up against her in court; not only was her beauty intimidating, but that stare was cold enough to chill his wine to the touch.
"Are you done flirting?!"
Gil tugged at his shirt collar, only to remember that he had already taken off his tie and undone the first two buttons so he wouldn't sweat in the food.
Thena glared at her sister, "I beg your pardon?"
The head of auburn hair ducked down like a startled dog, but didn't retreat entirely. "When's dinner gonna be ready?"
"In an hour," Thena snapped again, but it wasn't her sharp tone that had the girl trembling. If anything, her sharpness seemed familiar and comforting to her sisters.
"Can I have a diet coke?"
"No."
"Come on!" Sprite whined at her, "you're having a fun drink!"
Gil slid his eyes over to his colleague. The evidence was right there, even if he was the one at fault for it.
Thena let out a loud sigh, matching the dramatic energy of her sister(s). "Fine, you can each have one. But if it's gone before dinner, that's it, it's water for the rest of the night."
"Fine," Sprite moaned as she slid off the couch to retrieve them.
Thena glared at her.
"She means thank you," Sersi offered much more sweetly and docilely, even if it was just to appease their sister's glaring. She crept behind her younger sister, holding onto her shoulders the whole way to the fridge. Her eyes darted between them, "it, um, smells nice."
Gil smiled; they were nice kids. Thena had done a great job with them, clearly. "Thanks, I hope I got everything right."
"You can't do worse than her, dude, trust me," Sprite pointed blatantly at their guardian. "She's, like, find a bone in your cereal--bad."
"It was one time."
It wasn't a joke? Where did the bone come from?
"If dinner isn't for an hour," Sersi swayed on the spot, like a child shyly twirling her dress (although she was actually in yoga pants with a green flannel tied around her waist). "Would you like to watch an episode of Ghost Files?"
"Ghost show, huh?" Gil grinned, putting his hand on his hips. He looked over at Thena, who looked maybe even a little sheepish.
"It's our fav," Sprite added, excited at the prospect of sharing their favourite program. "They find evidence, and then Thee tells us if it would be accepted in court."
"None of it would be," she stated outright, "but they still ask me every episode."
She made it sound tedious, but she was smiling just like the other two as they started to move back to the living room. Gil followed, "sounds like a fun family thing."
"If you two sit up properly, there'll be room for Gil to sit," Thena suggested not-so-subtly.
But Sersi and Sprite threw themselves back onto the couch. One side was clearly claimed by each, Sersi's with a fluffy blanket for her legs and Sprite's with a crumpled up throw pillow and snacks on her respective end table.
They pointed. "Or you can sit on the loveseat."
"Yeah, why else have two couches?" Sprite snickered with a mouthful of roasted peanuts.
"Animals," Thena admonished her sisters, and yet took a graceful seat on the smaller sofa adjacent to the tv. She had sat closer, giving Gil the better seat for viewing. She pulled one of her legs up, leaving the other down and her pencil skirt stretching to accommodate her.
He sat down on the other cushion, clutching his wine glass and trying to focus on the show, rather than how he could now smell that Thena also wore a little perfume when she was in the office too.

Soulmate Identifying Marks AU
ANGER MANAGEMENT STYLE
i am
i need it.
(don't feel pressured i might write it myself but also might not but i had to throw the idea to you)
Fam.
You got it.
[Read on AO3]
------
Jason never actually cared about his soulmark. Really. Why bother? He was poor, his parents' relationship was shitty (he later learned they weren't soulmates and Catherine sold him a pretty lie), and his life was complicated enough to add romance.
Once he became a vigilante at the tender age of thirteen, he understood that love was a luxury, and that having a soulmate at this point was a liability more than a blessing. A curse, even. He envied Dick, who didn't have a soulmate mark, and who loved freely and without hesitation; he envied Bruce, who loved intensely and burned just as bright.
He just. He couldn't do it.
So he chose to ignore it. Sometimes he hated it, sometimes it felt like a shackle to a complete stranger, someone he was supposed to tie himself to-
(Someone that didn't belong in his world. Crimefighters and civilians were not a good idea.) - so he just scrubbed at the damn ink on his skin when he got pissed at it, and covered with long sleeved clothes when he wanted to ignore it.
And then he died.
He was surprised to discover his mark was still there after coming back to himself post-bathing in the Lazarus Pits. He lowkey had hoped his soulmate was free from the connection the moment his heart stopped beating. But it was still there.
It was a bird. Ironic.
A freaking bluejay.
It was still colorful, it has all the details, no matter what he did about the mark. His soulmate was still there on the other side, waiting, biding their time. He wondered if their mark became a black silhouette like it did when partners died. He wondered if that stranger was holding hope or gave up on him already.
(He hoped they did. Giving up on him was the best option.)
When years passed and he didn't find anybody with a matching tattoo, blacked out or not, he tried to forget about it again. Holding hope was useless, and he had more important things to do. Dick eventually stopped asking about it, when they were back on speaking terms. Bruce still gave it pained looks when he visited the Cave.
That's why when a woman sat down on his table and hid her face behind a binder, he didn't notice the picture on it at first glance.
"Hello?" He put down the cup of coffee and sat straighter. It was never a bad idea to be wary.
"Um." The woman lowered the binder enough to look around the quaint café. She turned and checked the window, but if there was someone there she wouldn't be seen. That's why Jason liked this table, it was the best strategic point. "Sorry, I..."
"Hiding from an ex?"
The woman rolled her eyes, setting the binder back on the table. "Try a creepy coworker."
She tried to downplay it, but by her body language she was more affected than what she let on. He was interested in her story immediately. No woman was going to be stalked on his watch.
"Did you try the police?"
She looked at him like he was crazy. "Police doesn't do shit in Gotham."
Her sharp tone and eyes made him smile immediately. "Have you tried kicking him in the nuts?"
The unknown woman arched an eyebrow and untied her tight bun, massaging her scalp for a second, revealing long natural red hair. Jason noticed her white shirt, so she may be coming back from work. An office? He wondered where she worked. He could try and find out and then identify this creepy coworker-
"Hard to do that when she doesn't have a pair of those." The woman snorted. "My stalker is a woman."
"My mistake. Have you tried kicking her anyway?"
She made a face as if she didn't know what to do with him, but laughed at his comment. He smiled back, glad to see her relax after the scare.
"Thanks. I really needed the laugh, stranger." She made a move to stand up. "I'll leave you alone now."
He nodded, making a note to follow her and find as much information as he could about this stalker.
His eyes wandered to the picture taped to the front of her binder.
A bluejay.
"Wait." He extended a hand, catching her-
It was like an electric current coursed through him, from the palm of the hand that touched her forearms to the tip of his toes. He knew she felt it too, because she froze where she stood, her eyes glued to his hand on her person.
He had to let her go, he knew, but he couldn't. He really couldn't. He knew what this meant, and yet he didn't want to believe.
"Where did you get that?"
It took a moment to come back to reality and process her words. She was looking at his arm, her free hand hovering over the hem of the jacket her had rolled up to be comfortable. The shape of the tail of the bird was in plain sight.
He could lie and say it was a tattoo. That he thought bluejays were cool. He could say so many things.
He didn't need to say any of those lies.
The woman put the binder back on the table and rolled up the sleeve of her sensible white shirt, on the same arm he had his mark. He knew what he would see, what he could see, but it didn't prepare him to the sight of the same bluejay shape blacked out.
"I cried for you. I felt you die."
Her eyes were haunted with memories. What could he say? What could he explain?
"I should have looked harder for you." She narrowed her eyes. "I knew I could still sense you, but I didn't want to hope..." She trailed off, biting her lip.
"It's okay. People shouldn't be running around chasing ghosts." He understood her. Really. Holding hope for the impossible could be dangerous.
The woman smiled at his words, truly smiled, amusement morphing her expression like the turning of a page. She sat back down and extended her hand.
"Jasmine Fenton. Professional ghost hunter. Or was." She rolled her eyes. "I was taking a break now, actually."
Jason tried to gauge if she was joking. But she was completely serious.
Huh.
"Jason Todd." He shook her hand anyway, barely stopping when the electric current made an appearance again.
"Like the dead socialite?"
She did her homework.
"Yeah." It was his time to be amused. "Just like him."
He smiled back at her, and it felt right. Like coming back for air after being underwater for too long. Like feeling the sun warming your skin for the first time after a long winter.
He always found the soulmate talk boring, and in his darkest hours, pathetic. He would never experience that, and romance was for those that could afford it, so why care?
But now, touching her, seeing her smile and her teal eyes that hid many secrets, Jason decided that those people were very off about their descriptions - and very right at the same time.
So he just ignored everything he thought he knew about soulmates and tried to remember if he had the rest of his day free, since he apparently had a soulmate to get to know.
---
Hate the ending, might rewrite it.
Bone apple teeth.
Also I hc Jason as aspec if it wasn't obvious here.
Do you like my stuff? Buy me a Ko-fi!

Silly little Stardew Valley headcanons of mine no one asked for.
I'm back in it lol.
Shane has heterochromia iridium, though not many notice it at first. His left eye is a soft brown, while his right is a deep green. It honestly looks like a trick of the light at first - both of his eyes seem that dark green, one stuck in the shadows from his lolling head as he avoids people's eyes.
Alex is mixed. Sorry (I'm not).
Also, it's Alexandre.
Elliot doesn't use hairties. It's those little clips you use that have like. teeth. you know the ones. Leah got him one of a translucent butterfly as a joke and uh...it now sits at the base of the potted rose on his desk for when he writes.
Mayor Lewis is only mayor because no one's bucked up to run. The people would unanimously vote for the Rusty Spoon you regularly find on your farm if it was on the ballot.
It was Shane's little sister that died and lead to him being Jas' guardian. Jas looks too much like her, and it causes so much pain for Shane.
Also Shane's little sister is Mona, the only headstone you can read in the graveyard.
You know how you can look in Jas' room and her dollhouse is quoted as: "The little family is gathered around the dinner table. Wait...except Grandpa. He's shoved under the bed for some reason." Yeah I like to pretend that's an allegory. Grandpa is the boogeyman under the bed, and maybe the reason Jas is in Shane's care.
when Shane starts his sobriety journey, he finds surprising friends in...Alex and Haley? Alex and he are all about gridball - Shane was semi-pro, after all, a player in college - and Haley's blunt rebukes amuse him. She has the same style of banter as he does. You can catch them on the beach, Shane and Alex throwing around a gridball while Haley is on the side, sunbathing and making fun of them (lovingly).
Linus is a reflection of the nature magic of the Valley - like the bear or the hat mouse. It's why he and Rasmodius are close friends and regularly near each other at festivals; they're arcane users. Linus more so lives in it as an equal rather than a wielder.
This isn't a headcanon but why the fuck doesn't stardew valley have a school. I bet none of these fuckers know what a hypotenuse is.
ELLIOT IS A MERPERSON. You know how Ariel runs away from home for the trinkets of the land? That but storytelling. I am not original in this one but I KNOW it's true. I feel it in my junimos.
Abigail isn't Rasmodius' child. Emily is.
Penny and Sebastian are exes, but in like, a middle school way. I am not elaborating.
Granny and the player's grandfather were childhood friends.
George is a war veteran.
The Travelling Cart transports refugees. It's why they go to the Gotoro Empire to begin with.
George knew his way around mines, and was quite the adventurer. He, Marlon and Gil know each other. Well.
Sam just has one of those personalities where he’s only two degrees away from being a friend to EVERYONE in town. Gets Shane to crack up in the Joja Mart break room, is interested in the prose of Elliot’s writing (he’s a writer himself, after all - songs are just poems). He’s like a dog, everyone just gravitates towards him.

Bakery AU: Electric Boogaloo
drops this
Tumblr media
Explanation under the cut!
Every now and then, as is the circle of life, I inevitably come back and redesign/generally remake my bakery au, so I humbly offer its latest reincarnation.
The general premise is that a bunch of dead nations (incl Prussia, because he doesn't live through the cold war this time round) try a risky experiment that's meant to bring them back to life- and it does! But they get reincarnated as humans, with no memory of their lives as nations. The remaining Nation Energy they have joins them together in their new lives through a telepathic link.
The story mostly centers around Beilschmidt Bakery- a business in Magdeburg that Almaric's (Germania's) parents decided to purchase above other candidates because of the coincidental (or so they thought) name match-up. In reality, this is a business Prussia established in the 1880s that he largely left up to locals to run, but would take Germany to as a young boy as an escape from politics. (Germany has not visited it since Prussia's death- but once he does, he's in for a surprise!)
Almaric and Gilbert work at the bakery full-time, with the plan being that Gilbert will one day inherit it. Kallisto, Navid, and Ixchel (Ancient Greece, Ancient Persia, and Thule- an Inuit culture originating in Alaska that spread across Canada for 600 years). Jules and Hazael (Knights Templar and Hospitaller) are Gil's friends from high school, who work part-time at the bakery to help pay for their education to become a music therapist and paramedic respectfully.
**I'm aware, by the way, that Ixchel isn't an Inuit name, but rather a Mayan one! There is a reason for this, both in her nation life and human one!! It's difficult to explain without going into my whole perspective on Indigenous Nations in the Americas- so I'll just say that in her human life, she's named after someone her parents were friends with but lost contact, and this is similar but not the same as the story about her name in her prior life. Hopefully that makes sense :)
Of those not working at the bakery: Romulus (Ancient Rome) is a Roman archaeologist and as a result travels a lot, Lotte (Ancient Gaul) is the Director of the Royal Archives in the Netherlands, and so lives in the Hague, Ephraim (Ancient Judea) works as a history conservator at the Jewish Museum Berlin, and Nermin (Ancient Egypt) travels the globe searching for answers on why they're Like That.
As for why Prussia dies: I'm running with the theory that Prussia becomes East Germany in canon- and that he does not in this au, but everyone assumes he does since he doesn't die/fade/whatever immediately upon becoming dissolved. In reality, his survival is due to being used to changing nature (another headcanon of mine, but I'm of the perspective- first of all, that Prussia was originally the Baltic Prussians- that the representative of the Baltic Prussians, rep of the Teutonic Knights, rep of the [independent] Prussia, and rep of the Prussia that's part of Germany all required reps of entirely different natures. Baltic Prussia/Old Prussia was a collection of tribes operating under one culture but never one organisation, meaning the representative would be more like the ancients typically were, residing over a culture but not one specific nation/tribe/organisation of people. Holy orders like the Teutonic Knights organised in small pockets within countries and territories, so being the representative of that is, again, different. And then, of course, being an independent, fully-fledged nation is another form of representative. And being a representative of territory within a nation is different again. So Prussia (the person) is clearly an adaptable little gremlin and hard to kill, even when he probably should have been- long aside over!) which means that even though he no longer represents a territory, people, or culture, he exists anyway because fuck you. Rather, he adapts to being your average everyday human, losing his immortality and boosted healing factor- but this isn't something immediately noticeable. It IS noticeable, however, when he dies and doesn't eventually get back up again. And starts decaying away.
Russia buried the body and never told a soul what happened. The rest of the world continued thinking Gilbert, as East Germany, was just trapped behind the iron curtain. This fell apart with the Berlin Wall, when Russia just would not cough him up. It became quite clear Russia did something- but no one knew what. Even the other Soviet states hadn't a clue, just that he'd disappeared years ago and no one ever saw him again. Most of them thought he probably escaped, though Russia didn't react as though he'd escaped, because it seemed like the most reasonable explanation. Now, it was clear that Russia had done something- and, they believed, still doing something, because it's not like nations die permanently when they still represent something. The reunification of Germany was partly out of the hope that it would put him out of his misery- though the thought that he might be alone and suffering, somehow managing to survive, continues to haunt Germany.
As a funky little bonus, here's the last time I made a reference for this au:
Tumblr media
Left most of the lads as heads this time because I knew that I don't have the energy to do all of them rn.
*Ixchel has the funky little aura thing going on because in this version they all had individual powers, and hers just happened to project outwardly. Mithridates (to memory) is Navid- except the name felt a bit too on the nose, and I didn't realise Ancient Persia had a rep until I came back to the project this time around, so a lot of changes on that front. (Same with Ancient Egypt!)

⚠ ETERNALS SPOILERS ⚠
Though there's no need anymore but…
Alright…
So, the first thing we see in the movie is their powers, which I find awesome.
And the way they put on their suits? Yea!
Also, i love that Shang-Chi was in the M of MARVEL in the opening. Did you see him?
We also have a Dr. Strange mention when Dane asks Sersi if she's a wizard. I do wanna see him as a giraffe.
Dane, he's a baby and Sprite, she's so badass. Her powers, dude, how she multiplied herself AND Sersi? Woooow.
I mean, you can't tell Gemma was already in a MCU movie. Like, her characters are so freaking different and I live that.
And, imma tell you, my brother would yell “The King In The Noth!” every time Richard Madden was onscreen.
And i can't blame him, sorry.
I mean, Richard and Kit. Together. Again. We love them. We were both fangirling.
A mention of Thanos and the blip, people believing that the earthquake had something to do with that. Yeah, weird shit happens there wouldn't be surprised.
Well, Ikaris is, indeed, the most beautiful. And I don't accept other opinions.
Now, I don't know why everyone was so upset about that sex scene. There was nOTHING ONE COULD SEE! It wasn't explicit, it wasn't forced, and it wasn't even long!!!
Ajak choosing Sersi to replace her was something I should have seen coming. Why didn't I is a mystery.
Also, i already know she died. Except I did not think it would happen so early in the story.
Lemme just… MI ✨ TENOCHTITLAN ✨ HERMOSA, TE AMO. Though they didn't show you in your best of moments.
Sorry, I got distracted for a second.
For a sec I was like wtf is happening to Thena? But then we got the explanation of the Mahd' Wy'ry and it kind of made sense.
Knowing that somehow Druig was right but also knowing he couldn't interfere is like uuuuugh!!
But he did it anyway so… yeah.
Now, the DCEU is canon in the MCU. Batman and Alfred and freaking Clark Kent are more canon than Mephisto and Evan Peters' Quicksilver. I don't know how to feel about it.
Did anyone else feel bad about Gilgamesh's pie?):
Also, his friendship with Thena is beautiful. His way of bringing her back was, in my opinion, way better than Nat's lullaby to Hulk. Don't mind me, I don't like that pairing.
Wait, wait, wait. Gil fought with/alongside with Odin? Against Laufey? WTF? I need to know more.
So, there is no Olimpia, The World Forge is where the Eternals are MADE. *insert Scott Lang's voice* Their whole existence is a bunch of… bullshit?
Also, i was not expecting that deviant thing. Like, Arishem created them as well for the intelligent kind to appear. What - -?!
Sorry but Druig os asdfghjklñ, Kingo. He doesn't suck. 🤷🏻‍♀️
And Ikaris left Sersi because he died in the Red Wedding. Xd
No time for jokes? K, got it.
I love Karum, he's iconic.
And Thena is a baby. We must protect her at all cost.
Gil.): I can't believe he died too. Gotta admit that I sobbed. I didn't know you well but you'll always be remembered, my friend.
Abruptly changing the topic; I cAN'T BELIEVE PEOPLE GOT MAD ABOUT A GAY COUPLE IN THE MOVIE!
Like, hello!!! It wasn't forced, it was casual, natural and just fucking normal. And I love how it wasn't a big deal that had to be explained in the film because it is NORMAL.
Ikaris mentions the vibranium, and we saw this in the trailers but I just love how Wakanda and its open doors to the world are relevant.
I'm living for that reference of King Arthur being in love with Thena. Man, we all are and if you're not, you're lying yo yourself.
Okay, we know why Ikaris left Sersi now.
And the fact that thanks to Thanos the emergence was delayed? Was he a good guy?
Not a serious question but it makes you think though.
Now I understand why Ikaris was described as “loyal”.
Because, as I said, I knew Ajak died and I knew it was Ikaris who killed her, but I did not expect it that way!
Now, and I'll be as calmed as possible, WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU, SPRITE?!?! I, TOO, WOULD LEAVE EVERYTHING BEHIND FOR RICHARD MADDEN BUT HOW COULD YOU BETRAY YOUR FAMILY?
Thena, sweetheart, you're a goddess and I love you, I'm so proud of you for getting rid of that deviant.
I don't know how to feel about Ikaris not being able to kill Sersi. Like, it's not actually a redemption arc, but the fact that he loved her so much he couldn't do it makes me like him.
Yeah, I said that. I understand why all of you hate him but I can't bring myself to do it. And I'm ready to physically fight whoever dares to say anything about him.
Now, Spite got everything she wanted, she's a human ajd I'm happy she got her happy ending.
Or the happiest she can be without Ikaris around.
And, WHY, ARISHEM, DID YOU HAVE TO INTERRUPR DANE WHEN HE WAS ABOUT TO TELL SERSI ABOUT THE BLACK KNIGHT??!?
We all knew he'd be there, but I got excited when Eros made his entrance. My inner fangirl screamed.
DUUUUDE, I saw the leaks but I STILL GOT EXCITED WHEN DANE IS ABOUT TO TAKE THE EBONY BLADE AND HE HEARS, WELL, BLADES' VOICE! AKSÑDLSKÑS. can't wait for that movie.

Ok so I have an idea for a gg au which I will write at some point, but for now here:
This started because I wanted a raised Heterodyne Agatha and Tarvek to become friends as kids
And for it to be very sweet and very tragic
They care for each other so deeply
And it has to be secret
And there's probably a period of time in which they don't see the other for years
Just... tragic kids
So then the logistics came into play
Tarvek's as canon
In this universe, Barry responded a little differently. In this world, he was pushed and did something different
So this Agatha is raised in Mechanicsburg
And raised by Mechanicsburg.
Half the town are her caretakers.
Barry is around at first, but vanishes as in canon.
This Agatha loves her people as fiercely as canon Agatha.
The Castle is repaired much sooner than canon
Sometimes, when the pressure gets too much, when she needs some space, some air, Agatha sneaks out of Mechanicsburg.
She never does much, just sits and relaxes
Tarvek does much the same thing
And so, they meet
They each work out who the other is fairly fast
But neither of them wants to say anything and break the fragile peace
So they don't
About a month or so into their friendship, Agatha says something in passing that makes it clear she's the Heterodyne, and panics
Tarvek just tells her he already knows
She's surprised, she then tells him she knows who he is
He is... somewhat less surprised
Anyway they carry on meeting up in secret
Now, another change in this universe is that Gil grew up as the Baron's son and heir
Also Barry and Klaus remain friends
What this means is Agatha and Gil have met a few times
They're not close exactly, but neither of them have many friends and at least there aren't any political difficulties in spending time with each other.
And anytime Klaus and Barry meet up, while Barry is still around, they end up spending time together
Later, this Klaus has a friendlier relationship with Mechanicsburg
So Gil and Agatha still see a fair bit of each other
And do end up becoming actual friends
The jagers still serve in the Baron's army
The agreement is that they'll help the Baron until Agatha takes her place as Heterodyne
They're not barred from Mechanicsburg
Also: there's an understanding that the Baron and Agatha will likely be allies. And if they are the jagers will probably continue to be in his army
If only because he lets them fight lots of things
But obviously Agatha's orders are the most important
So, when Tarvek tells Agatha he's being sent to the Wulfenbach school, she plans
She tells him what she can about the people there
And tells him she'll miss him
She tells him to stay safe, and hugs him
They have a very emotional farewell
She also tells him to find an opportunity to speak to Gil alone, and tell him he knows her
She and Gil have developed a code for letter writing, to speak of things their respective guardians might disapprove of
So, she writes to him about Tarvek for the first time
So, Gil and Tarvek still become friends
Their mutual connection to Agatha is a starting point
But it also just happens pretty naturally
This Tarvek doesn't get kicked out of the school
He is safer and happier there
This Tarvek is perhaps a little better off than canon Tarvek
He writes to Agatha, piggybacking of Gil's letters
The three of them make this long-distance friendship work
Tarvek ensures they change their codes often enough to keep it safe
The years tick by, no-one knows Agatha and Tarvek know each other (except Gil)
There will be more but this as far as my thoughts are at right now.

Ok so this is my first time requesting so please be patient with me. Could you please do a teen!reader where they are the youngest child of the Whitly family, and Malcolm is very protective over them because he doesn't want them to be hurt like he has? And when they meet Martin for the first time, Martin is asking personal questions towards the reader and Malcolm just cranks the over protectiveness to 100. Sorry if that didn't make much sense, but thank you for taking the time to read this :)
Haha, I feel like I should be asking you to be patient with me! Anyways I liked this idea and I hope it turned out okay...
Daddy’s Home
Tumblr media
“Y/n, stop messing with your food!” Jessica said for the fourth time.
“This is so boring, why can’t we eat?” Slouching in her seat, Y/n moved her fork in between their fingers.
“We are still waiting on Malcolm.” Ainsley pipped in.
Rolling her eyes, she picked up her fork and started eating.
“Y/n!”
“What? It’s not like he’s going to be on time, he never is. I say we start eating now.”
“She’s got a point.” Ainsley shrugged, taking a bite from the plate herself.
Just then all three heard the door open and slam shut, Malcolm walked in the dinning room, quickly taking a seat next to Y/n. “Sorry, I got caught up with a case.” Malcolm loosen his tie.
“Big surprise.” Y/n mumbled under her breathe, making Ainsley crack a smiled from across the table.
“You’re here now, that’s all that matters.” Jessica smiled at her son. “Let’s eat shall we.”
Everyone started eating, leaving an awkward silence. Nobody seemed to have a topic of conversation.
“So, Y/n. How’s school going? Malcolm started, not seeming to like the tension in the room.
“Fine.”
“Yeah, Y/n. How is school?” Ainsley dragged out, her voice was teasing.
“Don’t make me come across this table Ainsley, I said it was fine.” Y/n gritted their teeth, already annoyed by what she was trying to do.
Since Y/n never saw Malcolm as much as Ainsley, she knew more about what went on in her daily life. Although, according to Y/n it was more like being nosy then anything else.
This comment had sparked an interest in Malcolm, of course picking up on Y/n defensive behavior. “What’s happening here?” Malcolm asked.
“Nothing.”
“Y/n has a crush.”
Shooting a glare at Ainsley, Y/n tried kicking her knee from across the table. “Stop being nosy.”
“Is this true?”
Y/n turned to Malcolm, instantly recognizing the look on his face. His protective nature was coming out, looking rather annoyed at the lack of response.
“Whatever, even if I did. It’s not yours or Ainsley’s business.” Y/n shrugged, taking another bite of food, hoping someone would change the topic.
“Y/n, you know I could just find out, Dani is really good at-“
“Absolutely not, don’t even try to go there! You keep to your life and I’ll keep to mine.” Y/n got up from her chair, grabbing her plate she walked up to her room.
“Well, that wasn’t so surprising.” Jessica casually stated, taking another sip of her wine.
“Did you know?” Malcolm turned to his mother now.
“Of course I knew Malcolm.” Jessica proceeded to drink her wine. “It probably wasn’t a good idea to say your police friends would get involved though.”
Malcolm sighed. “They don’t tell me anything, I barely get to see them, and when I do it’s always one sided.”
“Malcolm, have you ever thought that maybe you being gone all the time is the reason you don’t get told anything in the first place?” Ainsley pipped in.
Malcolm leaned back, taking a bigger sip of his wine. “I’m not gone that much.”
Just then Malcolms phone started ringing. Gil. “I gotta go.” Getting up from his chair, he proceeded to make his way to the front door. His hand was on the handle when-
“I wanna meet dad.”
Malcolm stopped dead in his tracks. “What?”
“You heard me.”
“What- Why would you wanna meet Dr Whitly? Where is this coming from?”
Y/n shrugged. “You see dad all the time, Ainsley herself did a whole interview with him! But anytime I even try suggesting to mom about seeing him, she freaks out. I wanna meet him.”
Malcolm shook his head. “No, absolutely not, that is a horrible idea. You don’t need to meet him.”
“Look. I get it. You wanna be all protective older brother. But you fail to realize that I’m asking you to meet dad, I could’ve just waited and gone myself. Instead I’m asking you so you can come with me.” Y/n leaned against the wall, messing with the hem of their shirt. “I love you enough to tell you I wanna see him, but when the day comes and I’m aloud to see him myself, I will go alone.
Malcolm sighed, walking over he pulled her in for a hug. “I just don’t want you to get hurt. You got out lucky being so young when everything happened. I would hate to see that crumble.”
“You can’t protect me from him my whole life. I gotta face him at some point. Besides you’ve already done so much, even the whole change the last name.” Y/n teased.
“Alright fine. But you can’t tell mom. She would not only kill me but might lock you in your room forever.” Malcolm said.
“You got yourself a deal Bright!” Y/n took out their hand.
Malcolm smiled. “And a deal yourself, Bright.” Shaking on it, Malcolm left to go meet up with Gil.
A few hours later, Malcolm texted Y/n saying he was outside. When the car pulled up, Malcolm started his rules on things to say and things not to say. Meeting Mr. David was a treat, he was super nice and welcoming. However Malcolm kept going on and on, until they finally got to the front door of the room.
“Malcolm. It’s okay, I get it.” He nodded, but he couldn’t stop his hand from tremoring.
Taking a hold of his hand, Y/n smiled reassuring at Malcolm. “Don’t worry, you’ll be there. You always got my back.”
Taking a breath Malcolm nodded to Mr. David. Giving him the okay to open the door, they both walked in, hearing the loud clank of it shutting behind them.
Martin was looking though a couple of his medical books. He didn’t look up, but he knew they were there.
“Malcolm my boy! You know how I love unexpected visits! I saw the news, quite an interesting turn of events on the case. Please tell me how I can assist.” Martin swivel in his chair. When he turned around he stopped when he realized there were two individuals.
“Why hello there, who’s this?”
Y/n tried not to let that comment get to them. It would only make sense that Martin wouldn’t know who they were. The last time Martin saw them was when he got arrested, and that was years ago.
“This is-“
“I’m Y/n Whitly!” Jumping in before Malcolm could respond.
Martin looked shock, his eyes looking up and down until he settled on Malcolm. “This is little Y/n? My baby?” Martin asked.
Malcolm sighed. “Yes, this is Y/n. Y/n Bright. Not Whitly.”
Y/n rolled their eyes. “Hi, uh, sorry. It’s just- well I’ve never really thought of what I was going to say, I just thought I could make it up as I got here.”
“Oh my sweet child! You have no idea how happy I am to see you!” Martin walked closer to the line.
Malcolm still was holding Y/n hand, which then began to tighten. Instead of moving closer to Malcolm, Y/n walked closer to Martin, standing in front of Malcolm now.
“Really? I mean- it’s been so long, I just thought maybe you forgot about me?” Y/n shrugged.
“Oh, no!” Martin protest. “My sweet child, I never forgot about you! I’ve always kept you in my mind with your brother and sister, it’s just so overwhelming to see you all grown up. I’ve really missed a lot haven’t I?” Before Y/n could say anything he continued.
“I mean, there’s so much to catch up on! How’s school going? Do you have any interest? Oh! Let’s start off easy. What’s your favorite color? Favorite food? How about a boyfriend or girlfriend-“
“Enough!” Malcolm cut in. He pulled Y/n back by her hand to try and put distance between them and Martin. “This is their visit, they can take all the time in the world to catch up.”
“Malcolm-“ Y/n hissed.
“No, your brother is right. I’m sorry.” Martin smiled brightly. “Go ahead, you go first. What would you like to know? Or perhaps tell me?”
Y/n stood there for a moment, knowing there was so much to ask but not enough time for the whole day. They could start with a favorite color, or food, but that was just meaningless things. Instead wanting to ask something a bit more meaningful.
Looking back to Martin who was waiting patiently for something to be said. “Was there ever a moment when you thought you could stop?”
Both Martin and Malcolm taken back by this, but they continued anyway. “Like- did you ever think that you would get caught one day, end up in here, miss out on everything, and never see your family again.”
Martin sighed. “I’ve thought it once or twice, but I never thought I would get caught, or rather... ratted out.” He started to walk around his side of the room, his chains dragging. “I’m so sorry I missed out on your life Y/n, but who’s to say I can’t catch up now!”
“But you wouldn’t have stopped, would you... I mean Malcolm knew what you were doing, and you were going to kill Gil that night anyway.” Y/n stated.
“Maybe, but Y/n you have to realize, it wasn’t my plan to come here, your brother-“
“Did an amazing job.” Y/n cut him off. “My brother did everything that should’ve been your job, and he did it great.”
Martin looked a bit nervous now, fidgeting with his handcuffs. “Y/n, my sweet-“
“I’m not your child.” Y/n stated. “And, biologically speaking you are my father, but Malcolm is my dad, my brother, my best friend. He made sure I was okay... even when I ignore him.” Looking to Malcolm, Y/n smiled apologetically. “I thought coming here to meet you would help fill this hole of not having a father, maybe see if there was a chance that we could have had something. I see now that I was wrong, and if you would have never got caught, I would most definitely been worse off.”
“I know you are going though a lot of mixed feelings right now, but I assure you, I could be there for you. Give me a call, come by and visit, and you’ll see there is still a chance for us! We can still make this work Y/n. I can still be your father!” Martin encouraged.
“Maybe, but you’ll never live up to what Malcolms already given me.” Turning around towards the door, Y/n tugged Malcolm gently with her. “It was really nice to meet you Dr. Whitly. Maybe one day, we can form some type of relationship. Perhaps I’ll be proud enough to call myself a Whitly again, but for now, I think Bright suits me better.”
Walking towards the door, Mr. David opened it, moving to let them both pass.
“Don’t you worry Y/n! You’ll be proud to call me dad one day! I promise! Can’t wait until next time! Call me anytime! I’m always here for you!” Martin shouted from behind. Y/n didn’t say anything until they heard the metal door close.
Taking a breathe, Y/n leaned against the hallway wall. Their hands on the knees, thinking over what just happened. Malcolm squatted down in front of Y/n, taking their hands in his, he started to move circles with his thumbs.
“Are you okay?” Malcolm asked.
Nodding, Y/n looked up to him smiling. “Thanks for letting me come. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing out on much.”
Even though it was supposed to be sarcastic, there was still truth to what Y/n said. Malcolm leaned forward, kissing the top of their head. He pulled back and stood up straight, taking their hand in his. “Come on, let’s get home.”
Walking toward the exit Malcolm wrapped his arm around Y/n shoulder. “Did you really mean what you said? About me being like your dad? Also me doing amazing? Because sometimes I feel like I’m failing.”
“I know I give you a hard time, but I’m really glad to have you as my brother. I wouldn’t trade you for anything. You made sure I was always okay, sometimes too much, but I knew the love was always there. Thank you Bright.” Y/n smirked.
Smiling, Malcolm ruffled their hair. “Anytime Bright.”

Top 5 animals! Top 5 Fate characters 😊
Oh golly! Hmm my top five animals. My animals are hard to choose! But here they are! Giraffes were in mine but bunnies are cuter!
1. Wolves/dogs
2. Cows
3. Horses
4. Platypuses
5. Rabbits
Dogs are in the wolf section hopefully! 😅
My favorite fate characters top 5 are -drum roll please !
1. Gilgamesh: he's the king of heroes and one of the reasons I got into fate (besides Rin) he has so many flaws that it makes you like him. Especially his arrogance his greatest flaw. His pride and self importance, he Carrie's himself a character and how his speeches are really inspiring and full of wise quotes I actually like his way of speech as well. The king himself is also extremely wealthy, he take what he wants and not necessarily gets it. He's powerful king who had everything but he had isolation, though he found a friend Enkidu he learn of friendship. But as character his sheer stubbornness and arrogance is what I like him it makes him flawed person and even though he thinks he's perfect he isn't he's imperfect man. Plus he's highly attractive🌸 but also his caster self is amazing I love his mature version and he's wiser in that form. Caster Gilgamesh is version of Gilgamesh of how would be if he would return as wise king and ruled over humans as wise king (although it's not fate series main Gil, it's spin off version fgo Gilgamesh) I still love both version though. Oh note Gilgamesh also loves to see people pushing to their limits and do their best he actually is respectful in some sense because Iskhander I like their interactions it was very kingly thing of Gilgamesh.
2. Rama: though he's young king he's also very kind, and has sense of innocence in my opinion. All he wants to see his wife Sita it's so cute his devotion to his wife and he's only 16! I love his demeanor and his overall personally, he's not a greedy king like Gilgamesh or arrogant either. He like the opposite and caring personality. His compassion and devotion is incredible. PS his noble phatasm is also cool to me and he's a saber class, he's very adorable in my eyes. He's not bad a king but he's truly kind boy and very respectful it's one my reasons why he's on the list.
3. Rin Tohsaka: she my all time gal in fate and I think her color scheme amazing. It's cute she a tsundere but not the annoying type of ones I seen in many anime. She cares about her sister from afar and actually does things to help others, she very good teacher as well and love her relationship with the other characters and her dad too. She well balance character compare to the others, she knowledgeable and she willing to help, even it means to risk it or sacrifice what she wants but it's all for the better of others and situation. Level-headed and she may seem popular among her peers but she actually very magi who wants to live normal life and she thinks Sakura had a better one (even though it's the opposite at least I think tbh) Rin is going to be on the top five list, and just love her design as well, she is strong and independent girl why would not like her?
4. Medea: honestly I'm not surprise she is on this list, she had sad story to begin with and I thought her cunning and intelligence got her into this list. All she wants is to go home that's all she wants nothing more, but in order to do that she will anything even use souls to power up. I love her sheer will and cautious, yet manipulative nature has charm me in some ways and she also very pretty though others might steer clear from her because she is known to be a witch due to her past and nature. Medea just wants to go home and be free and somewhere a place where she belongs, a loving place to call home. Though I don't support her with the Rin's teacher (master and servant relations in general) she had her reasons why she doing what she did in fate stay night routes. I like the fact she actually has magic like Gilgamesh they both are from the age of gods where true magic exists , she doesn't need to have this "fake" magic or imitation of it. She's the real Deal, she even made Saber her servant even though servants can't actually get the grail because they are used to get it for the masters unless the master grants the servants wish. Medea has strong standing in her actions which is why she is very interesting character in my eyes.
5. Irisviel von einzbern: another character from fate zero/besides Gilgamesh who super popular but one of reasons why I like her so much was Iri she had such amazing personality and pretty and I shipped her so hard with her husband Kiritsugu and makes them such lovely couple. Though he was cold to her at times he knew she would sacrifice herself eventually and she wasn't human she was homunculus. But her husband taught her many things where she learn human emotion which made her on the list! I love her sweet her caring personality, she also positive and curious whic makes her so cute, though she has sad ending she still made an impact on Kiritsugu where her love and devotion didn't go to waste and what she continue to fight with his ideals to save people. She stand out as a character because of her strong will and her compassion for others. I think her true joys was her family and I also like Saber and her relationship very respective. I still like her as one my top fave girls in fate series.
That's all my favorite folks. It was hard to choose few except for 3 of them 👀

Vinnie let in a breath as he examines himself in the special vampire mirror on his bedroom wall. He quietly checks every inch of his face closely before opening his mouth to check his fangs.
Good, He thought with a charming grin to himself. No pimples, no stuff in my teeth, no flaws in sight.  Vinnie went to his dresser and takes out some cologne he bought specifically for today, a scent of calming forest rain, and sprayed some on his neck and a little bit in his shirt. Not a lot just the basic stuff to seem simple and posh.
Vinnie and Reggie are finally getting themselves a date.  A real, really real, true date.  Just the two of them.  And Vinnie could be more happier then this moment!
Vinnie has been meaning to ask his best friend out for quite some time, since the first moment he noticed his feelings were a bit more then platonic bashful moths in his chest and stomach actually.  It took him a total of two full months to completely wrap his head around the fact that he - Vincent "Vinnie" Stoker - was wings over heels in love with the world's one and only Reggie Moonshroud.  However, it took him nearly a YEAR to get up all the courage to ask the boy out. Honestly, if it weren't for his friends this day might've never happened.
The young vampire left his bedroom and hurries down his stairs, only to be stopped by the voice of his old man, "Vincent, can you come here please?" Vinnie let out a silent shutter as he mentally cursed himself.
He slowly turned his body fully towards the older vampire sitting in his velvet chair with a pipe in between his lips, small puffs of the smoke emerging out the ends. The teen slowly walked over. "Y-Yea pops?" His voice rarely stammers when speaking, hasn't since he was in the 6th grade, at least not when he nervous beyond his wits like when he tried to get the chance to ask Reggie out and plan out what to do on said date.
"Are you going to go on your date soon?" Asked Mr. Stoker. Vinnie nods some in reply, his hands fumbling into his jacket's pockets. This was not what he wanted to do.  The older vampire stood up from his chair, pipe still puffing out smoke, his eyes focus out the window of the chilly autumn gray skies. He takes a puff before continuing, "I want to give you some simple advice for your first date Vincent. Vampire to vampire." Vinnie practically shrunk his head down into his coat's collar.
Defiantly not what he wanted to do. . .
"That's okay pops, I got it covered-" He began as he slowly creeped his way to the front door. "The year was 1880. . ."  Vinnie bite back a groan, knowing very well that once his dad starts it's hard to stop him.  "I was simply a beginning apprentice to the one and only Dracula. Mostly paper work and long mornings. I thought I had everything cut out for me, a great job and nice home, until I realized I was missing something important when I first saw your mother wandering through the local cemetery." Mr. Stoker smiles fondly as he light strokes his black beard. "She is my first and only love as I'm sure you know. And it took me decades to ask her on a single date, I feared she might not want a simple vampire apprentice who barely knows how to turn into a bat, but alas she surprise me with a yes."  Vinnie nods, "Yeah yeah I know. And you two spent many years together, got married, had two kids, and lived happily ever after. Dad, I know the story pretty well you know."
He didn't mean to interrupt his father's tale, he just already has his nerves up through the roof and he just want to hurry for the plans.  His father turned and looked at his son right in the eyes as he spoke, "I know you do. I'm just trying to tell you that last night I was certain to give you some advice for your date, a vampire tradition my father gave me as his father gave him and his father so forth. I know you're nervous and it's perfectly natural. Just remember, be courteous. Be engaging. And above all, have a plan." Vinnie nodded. "Don't worry pops, I got it covered. Now can I go and do the date itself?" He asked the older vampire, who nodded to his please. He didn't wait any few seconds to open the front door and flying off with a snap.
This will go well, He thought to himself as he feels the wind go through his black hair. Reggie will enjoy the date I have planned for us. This is a piece of blood orange pie. Vinnie smiled as he spaces out on today's plans. Slowly, though, his brain began to swim to a memory of when he got the nerves to finally make that choice he's been walking back and forth on. . .
~   ~   ~
Vinnie taps the heels of his shoe onto the cold hard floor of the school's classroom as he watches the clock tic away, his eyes going to the clock and to the werewolf just a desk away from him.  Today was the day, Vinnie told himself throughout the hours. Today I'm going to do it.  As if proving his luck, the bell rings out around the school, signalling everyone to grab their stuff and hurry the Hell out of there for the weekend.  Vinnie stood onto his feet, catching Gil and Sid giving him a thumbs up as they run out the classroom, and looks over at Reggie who is still putting his stuff away.
The vampire took a breath in and walked his way over to the red head's desk, his feet feeling kind of heavy as he gets closer. Be cool Vinnie, just do it. "Hey Reg." His voice called out suddenly, the rest of his body slowly just going with the flow.  Reggie turned his head and smiled up at his friend. "Hey there Vinnie. You usually are gone by now, is Mr. Schneider Sir seeing you after class again?" He asked as he puts his books away in his bag. Vinnie smiles warmly, he enjoys Reggie's voice. The way his small lisp happens between the small gap of the front of his teeth.  The way his voice cracks sometimes in the right moments. Just generally how comforting it is...
The vampire quickly shook his head when he finally notices Reggie is standing up and looking at him with cocoa brown eyes that warm up Vinnie's dead chest, "No no. I just wanted to know...if...um...i-if you don't mind me asking...I uh..."  "Yes Vinnie?" Reggie pressed on. Honestly, it's like he knows what he's doing to me. Vinnie took a gulp from his dry mouth before he spoke a retry, "I just wanted to know...if...if...well...if you're free this weekend? Maybe...we could...go out?" He didn't know if he sounded needy or not but he didn't care, he finally said it!
Reggie blinked a few times before replying, "Of course we can hang out Vin. We often times do already."  "No, Reggie, I meant...go out...like a...date...?" Vinnie was so scared to look at Reggie in the face yet he has to in order to watch his reaction.  And boy was it a reaction... His cute wolf ears were perked down in a way his shyness shows, hard to tell but behind that fur his cheeks were very rosey and red, just looking at him gave Vinnie so much heat on his face he for sure thought he was going to die.
~    ~     ~
Vinnie chuckled softly when Reggie's face on that day came to mind.
Well, yeah, the reply was a day late but nevertheless he said yes.  And the day has finally came.
Vinnie soon landed at Reggie's place, a pretty big home of four stories with a even bigger yard surrounded it of 6 aches each side. He knew Reggie's family owned a big home for such a big family but he honestly wasn't expecting something so... human dream life. A white picket fence wrapping around the areas of land, green grass in perfect height, the house painted in a nice paint of soft blue with the windows having a white coat to the edges, a cute porch sticking out from the big dark brown oak made front door, and to fit so perfectly a nice little porch swing with a small coffee table.  In all honesty neither Vinnie nor Reggie been to each others' houses despite being friends for years. Always staying at the dorms the school gave them for half the week.
The vampire slowly made his way to the porch and gently pulled the rope that rings the door bell loudly it echos around him and to the forest not far from the house itself. He tripled checked in his head the plans of the date as he waits a few seconds before the door opened and Reggie's head popped into view. "Hey Vinnie." Reggie said with a smile and opened the door already for him to step out. "Hey there Reg-" Vinnie nearly chocked on his words upon seeing Reggie. He wasn't wearing anything out of his comfort zone but something Vinnie was expecting obviously... Let alone something his heart was ready for.  There standing in front of him with the shine of the afternoon sun glimmering a special effect through the tree leafs Reggie wearing a typical white button-down shirt and well ironed dress pants but wears also a well knitted beige and blood red pattern pullover sweater vest and a black Letterman jacket with a big red R stitched to his chest's right side, his hair combed in a messy side bangs style to the left side of his face. Honestly, Vinnie doesn't know if this was more cute or sexy and he was pretty scared of both.  "I-I could change if you want..." Reggie stated, snapping Vinnie out of his daze to realize he's been staring holes into the poor werewolf. "No no you're okay Reg. Just uh...caught me off guard is all. It's cool." Vinnie spoke up with his hands up in defense.
Reggie giggles some, causes Vinnie's undead heart to for sure jumble in beats like a drum.
The first stop of this little date for the two monsters was a nice little fly over the town to the date's main destination. Reggie clings to Vinnie from behind, his face so close to his their cheeks are barely touching softly, his eyes watching the town below them. "Gee Vinnie, this is beautiful." He whispered but Vinnie heard it very well, his warm breath gently dancing across Vinnie's ear, his cheeks warming up in a soft shade of pink, a smile appearing on the vampire's lips. If anything, if he had a chance to say it, Reggie was the most beautiful thing to Vinnie's eyes. Though as a sad as it had pained him he knew he would crash into something if he doesn't focus.
His eyes scanned around the area before carefully landing in front of a cafe looking place. Reggie looked around the place when he climbed down from the vampire's back as he tucked in his wings. "Um... Vinnie." Reggie mumbled softly as he dragged his feet closer to Vinnie. Vinnie let out a hum, "Yeah Reg?" "Correct me if I'm wrong but this is a human cafe is it not?" Indeed it was.  "Yeah. I figured to have a nice bite here for a change." "True it's just... don't you rather want to go to Ms. White's Diner? It's one of your favorites right?" Vinnie had to fight back the urge of going to his favorite 50's diner and share a monster shake with Reggie, he had a plan and he's sticking to it. He gently takes his paw and said, "This is just as good Reg, promise. Plus they serve your favorite here. Trust me."  Reggie looked at the place and at Vinnie, seemed to be small on numbers of humans... So it could be okay right?
The two monsters entered the cafe and walked it's way to a table right in the center. The place was nice, clean, quiet, cute, and had a nice nature aesthetic with potted plants hanging from the ceiling and the smell of coffee and tea with some sweets filling your sense of smell. "This place is nice." Reggie said, his eyes focused on every little detail around him.  The V-Man couldn't help but smile proudly, the date's going so well so far.
A waiter walks over to their table with a notepad and spoke to the two teenage monsters, "Afternoon gentlemen. What can I get you for drinks?" Vinnie opened the menu.  "I'd like a black coffee with a side of milk creamer."  The waiter nodded and looked at Reggie waiting for his answer.  The werewolf quietly looked through the menu, his eyes widening like space saucers. "O-Oh my...Um...w-water would be fine..."  The waiter wrote the orders down before hurrying to the back.  Reggie looked at Vinnie with a raised brow, "This place is expensive Vinnie. They don't even serve your favorite drinks here. And I think you need it, you look ill..."
Vinnie knew Reggie was worried, he can hear it in his voice, but he can't simply explain it... Since the night before last he hasn't had a drop of blood to nibble a sip from due to how stressed and nervous he was getting over asking Reggie out and planning out this perfect date. Black coffee was the best he could get to that bitter goodness. And if not, the creamer would do the trick.  Still, he knew he can't say all that to Reggie, not to seem not cool in front of his crush but also because he doesn't want the werewolf to feel bad or blame himself. Instead he just smiles his traditional smile and leaned back in his chair as he coats his voice with soothing calmness, "It's fine Reg. Everything fine actually. I just... had a big batch during breakfast and need the coffee here is good as I'm told. Plus, the money, don't worry. I got it covered." He finishes with a wink and another smile which caused Reggie's shoulders to calm down slightly.
After a few more seconds the waiter returned with their drinks and a notepad still in hand, "Here is your black coffee with a side of milk creamer and your glass of water sirs. May I interest you into something to eat?" Vinnie glances at the man's meaty neck and silently licked his fang out of sights, his brain wracking him inside his skull to try and not accept the urge to chomp down onto that neck and drink up. His hand quickly grabbed the coffee cup as soon as it was set and took a big gulp of it. Bitter. Not as bitter but still helps a little. He thought, feeling his nerves calm down a bit more.  He glances over at Reggie and smiles, "Why don't you order first? I'll follow after."  Reggie fixes his glasses and looked over the menu, a few times his eyes peeking at Vinnie as if asking for his help. "G-Gee...there's a lot of good options... Um..." He pondered out loud, Vinnie could see the human tapping his pen in a annoyance type manner. He bite down on his bottom lip some to fight back his new urge to range his neck.  Before the urge could happen for real, Reggie's voice rang out to Vinnie's ears, "I-I guess I can have the Pea & Carrot Soup with the Greek Salad as the side?"  "And you sir?" Vinnie had to remember how to talk before he took a quick glance at the menu before blurting out his order, "I'd like a French Onion Soup." And like before the man walked away after writing the orders down.
Vinnie noticed Reggie seemed more awkward and fidgety then his usual form.  "Everything alright Reg?" Vinnie asked, his voice truly worried. He truly is worried for Reggie. Maybe he caught that waiter's rudeness towards them because of their race? Maybe it's the fact it's clearly two boys out doing things beyond friends? The vampire's head is just about to explode over the thoughts on what could be wrong with his Reggie- My Reggie? Vinnie thought of having Reggie of his very own before... I mean it did sound nice to him but would Reggie be down to being...
Reggie softly shook his head with a mumbled, "It's nothing, really..." But Vinnie knew something's been bothering his pal. Maybe... Vinnie felt sick thinking this, Maybe he's not comfortable being on a date with me... Before he knew it the food had arrived but the two didn't seem in the mood to enjoy it... Vinnie gulped down the rest of his coffee and stared down at his dish.
Great, my nerves are all over the place now and Reggie ain't having a good time... He thought as he watched Reggie gently nibble on his soup and salad, the two barely having one or two small conversations. This date is going terrible...
The two left the cafe quietly and quickly after paying for the bill. The two were still pretty silent. Reggie broke this awkward pause in the air with a smile, "The food was pretty good Vinnie." Vinnie doesn't reply. "Vinnie..?" Suddenly, the second monster on this date let out a groan like sigh before slumping his body down a grass area in the side walk, "That stupid waiter! 50 bucks and all he had to do is make it nice!"
Reggie tilt his head at this and quietly asked, "What do you mean...?"  There was a pause when Vinnie looked away with no answer, causing it to click to the smarter of the two.  "Vinnie Stoker, did you pay a human waiter for our date?"  Vinnie sighed, "Not just paid Reggie, I paid the guy $50 to hold off any other reservations so it can be just us... I know you don't like really crowded places but that guy ruined it. I wasted 50 from my allowance just to have a guy be rude to you." Vinnie covered his face with his palms. "I'm sorry Reg...I really am..." Surprising Vinnie, Reggie grabbed his hand and pulls him up before guiding him somewhere.
"Hey Reg, where we going?" He asked, but his question fell on deaf ears as the werewolf still guided him silently.  Suddenly the vampire began to feel a new kind of nervous. Was Reggie mad? Was he going to yell at him for bribing a human? Does he know he hasn't been drinking his daily sips of blood?  He felt sick at the ideas of any of those being true and he blew this date... His one chance... And he blew it major time... There might not even be a second chance in this... "Look Reg..." Vinnie started, hanging his head low in shame. Reggie stopped him, "You didn't have to do any of that Vinnie. I would be perfectly fine going to any place we usual go."  Vinnie did not want this date to be ruined. He did not want his friendship to be tainted. All Vinnie wanted to do was do what he planned, even if it was sudden...
"I like you Reggie!"
Reggie stopped suddenly and whipped his head around so fast he must've felt dizzy.  No turning back now huh? Vinnie thought, taking a deep breath in, "I've always liked you Reg... And I mean really like you... Like...Like... I always get happy in the mornings because I get a chance to be near you at school, it's the only reason why I don't ditch as often. And when you're not there I feel sad...so sad I feel sick... I often re-read the messages we send back and forth after school because I miss talking to you that much... A-And that time when I was running for School President and you were helping me... Reggie, I felt so happy just being around you...seeing you so happy at what you were doing... I know this isn't stuff you want to hear instead of a apology...but I swear to you it's truer then true Reggie... I really like you... I've liked you for so long...I don't know when but I know when I figured it out... when you were fallin from the sky and I was running to you... All that's been runnin' around my head was "I can't let him go"... Reggie... you matter to me so much the idea of you not here with me is killing me..."
Vinnie was so scared to look up at his friend, scared he made it worst... "I just...I know this date ended up bad... but I-" Vinnie's words were cut short when he lifted his head to finally face his nerves, quickly his lips were covered by the soft fur of Reggie's lips.  The teen vampire felt his undead heart beat for miles and miles as every second slowly passes by between them, his eyes widen more then the usual wide but slowly his body began to melt by the warmth of Reggie's lips and they slowly blinked to a close while his lips push pressure back into the kiss.
The kiss lasted about a extra minute before the two pulled away, Vinnie's ears catching a soft small puppy like whine coming from deep back within Reggie's neck. "You like my lips that much Reg?" Vinne asked with a tease in his voice, smiling more when see that same expression of bashfulness Vinnie witness when he asked Reggie out in the first place. "Okay, I'm sorry... does...this mean you like me too...?" He asked, hopeful of his words being a positive. Reggie giggles softly, "Of course it means I like you Vinnie... Why else would I agree to go on a date and kiss you?" Vinnie felt stupid asking such a obvious question.  "And...why else would I do this?" After Reggie said that, he guided Vinnie again towards a secret spot. A nice little isolated hill spot overlooking the entire town and beach. Reggie...planned this? The vampire looked at Reggie in disbelief, now noticing the blush fur on his cheeks. "I... I like you too Vinnie... A lot... I've always had felt it too but that day when you risked everything just for me was when I realize it was more then a simple crush... And I wanted to show you how I felt since then...but I was too chicken to even bring it up in conversation... So, when you asked me out, I was nervous that I might miss my shot...so..." "So you ended up setting this up?"  Reggie nodded some, his bangs sweeping over his warm brown eyes in a cute shy manner.
Vinnie smiles softly and wrapped his arms around Reggie's frame, his lips lightly touching a small peck on his cheek. Sure, this wasn't the date I had planned... Reggie giggles and gently sat on the grass, Vinnie following after. The sun was just about going darker as the stars began to appear above them like candles they used to have lit from their old fears of the unknown... Vinnie could help but smile when seeing Reggie's happy face when he cuddles into him.  But I honestly couldn't ask for anything better.

I was wondering if you could do a Reader X Malcolm where the reader is Gils daughter and has been love with Malcolm since they were kids. But he doesn't see it at least not till he comes back to New York. If you don't have time then don't worry about it! I've just been having fun reading your stories!! 😊
Thank you! I hope you like this one, too 😊 There are no trigger warnings,
Word Count: 1,025
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Y/N) stopped by the precinct to give Gil, her father, some lunch she made for him. Sometimes he forgot to eat proper meals while he was on a big case. She entered his office and was deeply surprised to find Malcolm standing there. Her eyes grew wide and she was speechless. Her childhood flashed before her eyes.
After Dr. Whitly's arrest, Malcolm spent a lot of time with her father, and consequently herself. When they were children and Malcolm was mute, she used to sit with him and read stories because she loved to read and thought that it might make him happy, too. As they grew older, they would hang out during the summers, because they couldn't spend time together while attending different schools.
At some point, (Y/N) realized that she had fallen in love. She would try to drop hints here and there, but Malcolm always seemed preoccupied and busy. He never noticed when she would put on a pretty dress to impress him, or when she tried to prompt him to discover it in conversation. But after they went to college, they stopped speaking. They both just got too busy. And because they went to separate schools, they never had class together.
When (Y/N) saw Malcolm in Gil's office, all of her feelings came rushing back to her. For the first time in ten years, he spoke to her.
"Oh, (Y/N)! It's been a really long time." He smiled widely at her. He hadn't seen her in so long, and he hadn't thought about her for years.
She shook off her surprise and answered back just as happily. "It has! What have you been up to?"
"Oh, you know..." Malcolm shook his head from side to side. "This and that."
Gil spoke up. "Malcolm is working with me now, on my team." He looked at them and saw the children he raised. Then a thought occurred to him. "Hey, why don't you guys catch up? You know, get some dinner and talk about your lives?"
There was a second of panic for (Y/N). This sounded like a date. Why would her dad suggest they go on a date?
Malcolm spoke in a lighthearted tone. "That would be wonderful. How about Thursday? I know the best place we can go."
(Y/N) was taken aback. Did Malcolm not realize that this sounded like a date? Was he naive or did he not care? She consciously took a deep breath. Malcolm was probably just seeing this as a friendly outing. Her tone was still light when she responded. "I could do Thursday. Do you want me to meet you here?"
"Sure, sounds like a plan."
(Y/N) returned Malcolm's smile as she gave Gil his lunch and left. Malcolm watched after her with a question. Had she always been this beautiful? He thought back to their childhood; how kind she had been to him after his father's arrest, and her friendship that lasted until they went to college.
Thursday arrived, and (Y/N) waited at the precinct for Malcolm in a flowy blue dress. She dressed herself up but tried to keep herself from going overboard. When Malcolm greeted her, he was floored once again by her beauty.
They spent the rest of the evening talking and laughing over dinner. (Y/N) was worried it would be awkward, in a situation that could easily be interpreted as a date. But their conversation was effortless, and it felt good to catch up. So much had happened to both of them within the past ten years.
During their meal Malcolm watched her. He couldn't help but profile his friends and coworkers because it came so naturally to him. But he noticed some of her word choices and the specific movements she would make when talking about the past were... different. Malcolm couldn't believe himself when he had the thought. Was she in love with him? Since they were children? How could he have not seen it before? He pushed those thoughts aside while they talked, because there was nothing he could do with them. It was an epiphany he had to keep to himself.
After some prompting by the waitstaff, they realized they had been talking for a couple of hours and left the restaurant. They stood on the sidewalk and said their goodbyes. (Y/N) had fun, catching up as a friend, but when they were saying goodbye, she couldn't help but fall back into her past feelings and wish that he would kiss her. She contained her feelings though, and said a normal, friendly goodbye.
But she must have been distracted by her thoughts, because when she stepped out into the street, she didn't look for cars. A car was speeding towards her down the busy street, but Malcolm's reflexes were fast enough to grab her and pull her back onto the sidewalk.
As he pulled her out of harm's way, she was spun around until Malcolm held her against himself, his arm wrapped around her. She looked up at him with eyes wide. Adrenaline was coursing through her veins from her near-accident, but it was making her heart beat in her ears now as she looked into Malcolm's brilliantly blue eyes. He looked at her and, holding her so close, he had the urge to kiss her. Before he could process a single thought he leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss on her lips.
(Y/N) thought she must surely be in a dream, but this felt too real. And even if it was a dream, she knew she had to take this opportunity to do what she had longed to do for years. She gripped his suit as she kissed him back, a deeper and more passionate kiss than the one he gave her. When they pulled apart from each other, he let her go and they took a step away from each other. (Y/N) blushed as she looked away, but Malcolm spoke to her.
"Why don't we do this again some time?"
She looked back and found him smiling. (Y/N) was suddenly warm with pure joy. Her childhood dream came true, and she couldn't believe it.

For the Thenamesh Proposal AU:
Thena finds the perfect dress and is suprised by Gil’s reaction!
"What about this one?"
No, this one!
"Girls, please," Ajak said gently over her arguing daughters, both holding veils in their clutches. She patted their hands, turning over her shoulder, "I think we might be starting to smother our guest."
Thena turned, raising her hands in protest, "no, please, it's-"
"Sorry, Thena," Sersi offered her a very sweet, very contrite smile. She brought her choice in veil closer to her chest. "She's right, we're having a little too much fun playing dress-up with you."
Sorry, Makkari also smiled and plopped herself on the bench at the foot of Ajak's luxurious king sized bed.
Don't be, Thena shook her head with a smile to both of them. She really did like Gil's sisters. They were both warm and sweet, just like him, and their mother. A whole family of sweethearts, they were--even Gil's cousin Kingo, who had just arrived yesterday.
Ajak set down the last of the pile they were working through at the moment. She came over to Thena, putting her hands slightly upwards on her shoulders, "we must be overwhelming."
Thena offered a sheepish smile. She had lied to Ajak enough already, and it would be another lie to say that she wasn't used to having so many family members around. Especially all so...genuinely fond of each other. "That doesn't mean I don't like it."
Ajak laughed at Thena's reluctantly honest answer. They were also a whole family of knockouts--each and every one of them, absurdly beautiful. She still hadn't met Gil's father, the supposed demon man. But Gil described him as monstrously tall and cold as ice.
She rather thought she was quite cold, but he always told her she was more like ice cream: cold, but sweet underneath it.
"Why don't you try these without all of us fussing over you?" Ajak suggested so gently as she ran a hand over Thena's hair. Her motherly touch was so natural, in a way Thena had never really encountered for herself before. "See which ones you like and then you can show us."
Thena looked at the pile of dresses to get through before nodding. Perhaps this would expedite the process a little. Although she liked the way Sersi had described it; it was a little like playing dress-up, and it wasn't un-fun, as it were.
"Okay," Ajak clasped her hands around Thena's for a brief, tender moment before turning. She waved her hands, ushering her daughters towards the door as if she were herding lambs, or chickens. "Come on, you two, let's leave the bride to her fitting."
Thena sighed as the door closed behind them. She had never thought she would end up becoming a bride, let alone under the current...circumstances.
When Gil asked her to put on this charade with him, she was honestly surprised. He was such a sweet guy, she could barely imagining him telling anyone a lie ever in his life. But if it was for his sister's sake, he was more than willing, especially given the opportunity to embarrass his father.
And he was her best friend--not just work friend, but probably actually her best friend, all things considered.
He was apologising to her morning, noon and night, now that the charade was no longer a charade, and actually happening. He even offered to call the whole thing off, but she wanted to see it through. She liked Sersi, and she also wanted to help alleviate her burden, some.
When asked what having a marriage - annulled or divorced or whatever - would really do in her life, she had told him that it probably wouldn't make much of a difference, really. It wasn't like she had someone waiting for her back home.
Thena ran her hands over herself as she tried on the first one that had actually caught her eye. Sersi's taste was more flowery and plant based, and Ajak's was for lace and chiffon and tulle. Makkari's choices were a little...eclectic, but they tended to be a little shorter than Thena would choose for herself.
This one, though.
It was sleek, elegant without looking plain. The silk was shimmering white, tight where it needed to be but flowing off her nicely instead of being more of a mermaid fit. It sat around her shoulders in a way that felt somewhat alluring but with some of her usual penchant for coverage. It was a little more cleavage than she was used to in turtlenecks and cardigans, but she had to admit, it did look good on her.
She tilted her head at herself, running her hands over it. For as much as she had never given thought to what kind of wedding dress she would like, it certainly seemed to fit her perfectly. She had worn plenty of white dresses before - it was kind of her colour - but this one really did feel different. This really did feel like her wedding dress.
A knock.
"Come in," she smiled, expecting Ajak and her daughters to be pressing their ears to the door in anticipation. She examined some of the details of the dress a little closer. "I don't know who picked this one, but I think it's-"
"Wow."
Thena whirled around, her toes curling in the carpet as Gil smiled at her from the doorway. Ajak and his sisters were nowhere in sight. "Gil!"
"Sorry," he chuckled, stepping into the room more with his hands in his pockets. "I came looking for you because I just finished making lunch."
"Oh," she blinked, wringing her hands together. Ever since arriving, there was a nervousness cropping up here and there that she never used to experience with Gil before. Not consciously, anyway.
"You like it?"
"Hm?" she blinked, desperately trying to collect her thoughts as he walked even closer. His smile was probably the most relaxed she'd seen it since arriving.
"The dress." He looked at her in a funny way--like he had with plenty of other dresses already. She wasn't used to it. But the way he was looking at her now was like nothing she'd seen before. His eyes flicked over her and she felt an increasingly familiar wiggling under her rib cage. "It's...wow."
Thena felt herself start to blush. She wasn't used to that either. "Th-Thanks. I must admit, I think it suits me more than some of the other choices."
Gil's smile was still that one she couldn't quite identify. He stood close to her, his hand close enough to touch her arm but hovering in the air around her. "I think it's perfect."
His breath hit her ear, even moving the stray hair or two curling around it. She swallowed, which suddenly seemed suspiciously loud in her mind. "Good."
"Good," he agreed, stepping back with his smile turning into more of a grin. "I'm glad you found one you like."
"I-I suppose I am too," she mumbled, pressing her palms together again so they wouldn't seem shaky. She smiled at him, "I'll be right down."
"No rush," he shrugged, taking his good sweet time actually leaving. Every step backwards he took worsened her nerves. "That's worth the wait."
Once the door was closed again Thena let out a breath and pressed the back of her hand to her cheek. This was a far cry from herself at work, literally called the Goddess of War. She was getting a little too used to all this 'bride' stuff. She shook her head.
"Stop it," she spoke directly to herself in the mirror as she started pulling herself out of the dress. "None of this is real."

Hi! It's the fishing anon again! This time, how would the bros and Luna react to their s/o jumping into the (cold) water when the line is about to snap when they're fishing, and the fish (size doesn't matter) is only a few feet away? Who would jump right after them? Who would just keep on reeling? Aftercare if their s/o gets the sniffles after their dip?
Ah it’s you!! :D Fishing anon back with the cute prompts~
The group is low on supplies, especially food. And unfortunately you all were low on gil, which meant no buy food for tonight either. So Noctis takes it upon himself to try and fish up food. Gladio and Ignis are out on the hunt for Dual Horns for meat and Prompto is setting up camp, meanwhile you had sprained your ankle and it was best for you to stay off of it. And so you came with Noct.
He wasn’t having too much luck with his fishing. And you figured the other two weren’t having any luck either because none of them rang either of you up or came to fetch you both, meaning none of them caught food either.
But then suddenly there was a small glimmer of hope when suddenly the bait had been pulled under and you could hear the line spindling out on the reel. You could tell already from the easy time Noctis was having that it likely was just a smallfry. But hey! You weren’t going to complain! Food was food! Though you supposed you were going to need a little more to feed the rest of the guys too…
So close! So close! You were cheering Noctis on, just a little more to go annnnnd… The line snapped… it just snapped…
“No!” You shouted. That food, that beautiful food… getting it’s bearings and starting to swim away right before you and- no! Oh no you weren’t going to let yourself starve for tonight like this!“Hey, what are you doing?” Noct shouts when he sees you running past him and diving off the end of the pier. He just stands their slack jawed over the fact that you really just jumped into the ocean just for a fish.
However, Noctis quickly snaps out of that when he sees you flailing and splashing on the water and dives right on in when he hears a cry for help and drags you back out.
“What were you doing hopping in like that when you don’t even know how to swim?” Don’t mistake is tone for something scolding because it’s not going to be, at this point he’s stifling his laughter and he’s starting to fail at it.
Later when the sniffles start, Noctis just asks you “What did you learn?” while chuckling again. He starts to bring out the medicines (providing Ignis or one of the others remembered to get them when he didn’t). He ended up turning into somewhat of an errand boy just to make sure he had enough to also start getting what it took to make you soup. Of course with very light supervision from Ignis (in which there was no way Ignis would try to discourage this).
Finally you all had made it to Altissia, and you all decide that it can’t hurt to have one afternoon where you all do your own thing. Ignis was about to go to you and ask you if you wanted to accompany him at the cafe and grab a drink, but before anyone knew it you were already gone.
He left you to whatever you were doing for a long while, but it became worrying when it had crept late into the night and still no word from you. So he started the search to see where you’ve gone.
Surprisingly enough he had found you over at the lone pier in the middle of the water, the one only reachable by gondola. Had you been fishing all day? That was something he expected more from Noctis rather than you.
Once he got there he stood behind you just chatting and observing before dropping a suggestion. “You seemed to have been at this for quite some time, perhaps it’s time for a short break? Surely by now you’re feeling a tad famished.” He was right; all this time you had been so focused on catching fish that you had neglected to even get yourself a snack. You nodded in agreement and told him you just wanted to catch just one more.
It was right after you had said that, that your phone had rang. Ignis volunteered to hold the rod while you answered. Just as you stepped away, going to the other end of the pier, a fish snagged on to the line. No worries. Ignis has caught his own fair amount of fish from having to join the others. He can handle it.
Just as it was getting close, soon he’ll be bending down and picking the fish up, you had came running back. “Hey, you’ve got a-” all of the sudden your foot had smacked into a raised board on the dock and suddenly you came crashing down into the water.
Ignis didn’t jump in after you, and didn’t real in the fish either. Instead he knelt down and extended out his hand for you to grab onto so he could pull you up.
Unfortunately for you, the salt water of Altissia is the polar opposite of the warm and lively town- it is harsh and it is cold. But fortunately for you Ignis drapes his jacket over you and holds you closely to warm you with his own body heat while riding off to the hotel. Lightly he scolds you that “next time, you ought to be more careful”.You can expect plenty of warm beverages and a nice hot soup for dinner tonight and the next couple of nights. And he’ll be keeping an eye out on you just to try and make sure you don’t get sick. Good news is, you get the chance to finally kick back and relax while he takes care of that all.
At the crack of dawn Gladio had took it upon himself to wake you up. Rumor had it that Myrlwood had it’s very own legendary fish and Gladio wanted to be the one who actually caught it. And he wanted someone to witness, and who better than you?
The both of you set out and left the others behind. Was this a good idea you kept asking yourself. Myrlwood was a dangerous area to be roaming around with so few. But Gladio cast his vote of confidence in the both of yours skills, and it was rubbing off on you. You felt pumped and ready for anything!
Once there Gladio set everything up to start fishing; making sure to have a good, unused line and bringing out the Ranker Tonberry lure.“So… what kind of fish is this legend supposed to be exactly?” You asked.“They say that there’s a striped, blue Opah in these waters. One bigger than most any fish around.”“A striped blue Opah- The Moonfish? Aren’t those supposed to be extinct?” He nods, “Supposedly. But nature always finds a way.”“But if there really is one here, shouldn’t we leave it?” Suddenly it was like Gladio couldn’t hear you, and he kept waiting for something to bite.
After a good three hours or so, you both spotted something gigantic under the water slowly closing in on the bait before grabbing it and starting to give Gladio a fight. About another good half hour of him struggling with it and it was finally getting close! The rumor was true alright and you were astonished to be seeing it with your own two eyes. But then- “Shit I don’t this line is going to be holding out for too much longer.”
No… No, no, no, no! You had sat here for way too long for that to happen. Gladio had been reeling this big guy in for far too long to have this happen! It was a once in a lifetime chance! You jumped in…
Although surprised and caught off guard by your action, Gladio wasn’t too concerned- in fact he let out a hearty chuckle. The cold of the lake wasn’t going to harm you, instead he figured it might toughen you up. And if it didn’t, then struggling with pushing that fish back towards him would. Thanks to your help he caught the esteemed fish of legend. The big Opah ended up weighing in at 167 pounds.
You remember how Gladio thought that going into the lake like that wasn’t going to be a bad thing? Yeah he was wrong. Suddenly there’s nonstop sniffling and sneezing from you, and nonstop there’s snot rolling down. But Gladio can’t exactly get on you for it considering he let you do what you did.At this point he makes you stay back and away from the fights. And while at camp or at a hotel he brings you hot tea, yet another box of tissues, and has you constantly snuggling into his warm body.
Prompto was accompanying you to a fishing spot earlier in the morning. He had no intentions in fishing himself, but he did want to hang out. He sits near you chatting away, snapping pictures, playing King’s Knight on his phone.
A couple hours had passed and still nothing. Prompto began to start in on you- “Can’t you like, catch something cool? Something, you know, big?”- so you shoved the pole towards him.“Wait, you can’t be serious?” Oh, you were. If he wanted to see big fish caught then maybe he could actually try it himself.
Eventually something finally bites; it lurches him forward unexpectedly and already you knew Prompto had a bigger catch than you even thought was going to be lurking around in this lake. Quickly, you reached for the rod and was going to try helping Prompto pull it back while getting back on his feet, but just as soon as your hand got onto it, the fish gave another hard tug and suddenly you both were pulled right into the shallow end of water.
“My hair! My beautiful hair!” Prompto cried out as he rushed out of the water, “I spent so long on it this morning just trying to get it perfect!” He ends up pouting for awhile until you tell him that you think his hair still looks fine, still cute on him.Needless to say… Today you would come back empty handed.
Right after you both go back to the hotel to freshen up and dry up, hanging your clothes out to dry while you both raid the clothes intended for tomorrow. Of course… Not before you came cross Gladio who ended up laughing at the both of you for getting pulled in like that. (Thankfully you both managed to escape even getting so much as the shivers)
It was supposed to be a nice quiet evening; just you and Luna enjoying the cool breeze and surrounded by the smell of algae filled lake water. Luna was finally taking a day out for herself and wanted to have a calm evening where she wouldn’t have to worry, and she wouldn’t have to think. So you invited her to come with you for fishing again.
This time of round you let her have the rod; far from an expert, but she was by no means a newbie either. Most of her fishing had been done back when she was younger, back when her and Ravus went to start learning more about it. Their mother wanted to make sure that they could at the very least catch some of their own food this way if push came to shove. So as soon as the fishing rod goes into her hands she finds herself flooded by memories.
The biggest problem was that when you had handed the fishing pole off to her, the line was already in somewhat bad shape. You just didn’t notice until it was too late. And right before she heard the snap in the line she heard a large splash followed by her legs suddenly being wet.
“What are you doing? You could get sick!” She shouts. Casting aside any concern for herself she dives in after you, ignoring the sting of the cold as she tries to reach you.
The two of you are able to make it out. Both of you shivering and with your teeth clattering together… “What were you thinking? Do you truly have such little regard for yourself that you-” She started to say, but she went silent when you raised up your hand and in it was a little fish, a trout that weighed in at most three pounds.“I just wanted to see you happy, and I guess I got a little over zealous didn’t I?”The butterflies start to flutter her chest and she softly smiles, “Oh, what am I ever to do with you?”
As for afterwards; you didn’t fair too badly. It took a long while to get rid of the lingering shiver of the cold in your body, even though you had bundled yourself up under a blanket with her.
However Lunafreya found herself to be the one who was sniffling, which in turn caused concern in Ravus who could only shake his head.“Such recklessness, do you realize just how foolish this was? Over a fish no less?” His tirade keeps on going, and though he sounds harsh the two of you realize it comes from a place of worry(for her) in his heart. So his words don’t sting too badly.
But in the end, even though she got sick, you made her happy. And Ravus, too, was grateful for that.

@theshipper47 had this lovely idea and I had to ask you!
tyrant king/Ice Queen AU or secretary AU:
Gil is in prison and Thena needs to get him out 👀
Gil sits down heavily into the seat, hunching himself to lean against the counter as the guards watch them all. He picks up the phone receiver, "hey."
"Hey, Baby."
Gil smiles. Thena has never been one to go crazy with petnames or cutesy couple behaviour. But since he was apprehended by the Korean authorities on their way back to London, she hasn't missed an opportunity to make it clear that she's his partner. "They set a bail number, yet?"
Thena keeps the smile on her face. They're both sure that the guards know at least some of what they're saying in English, so they haven't taken any chances. "Not yet, Yeobo. I keep asking them, though."
What she means is they still don't have any evidence to convict him on anything serious, they just don't want him to slip out of their fingers again.
Gil sighs. He's tried telling her to go home without him--maybe try to make some progress from the English side of things. Even having him expedited from imprisonment in Korea to the UK would be an improvement. They're a little easier to bribe, he thinks.
"Hey," Thena gives him a softer smile this time, tilting her head in the way he thinks is really cute. She presses her hand to the reinforced glass between them, "I miss you."
He presses his hand as close to hers on the glass as possible. "Fuck I miss you, Naekkeo. Sleeping here fucking sucks."
She purses her lips, "I'm sure it's miserable. And just to be clear, sleeping at the airport hotel without you isn't what I'd call enjoyable."
He chuckles. That's more like his Thena--who would normally have a little bit of a tough time expressing how much she misses him, especially around other people. "I'll be with you soon, Gongjunim. If-"
"When," she corrects him freely, and has been doing so everyday when she's allowed to come and see him like this. She raises her brows, "they find out who is framing you for all this."
Gil grins at her. Thena worked for him long enough--she knows who to call, who to trust and who not to. She knows how to fake documents and which ones need to be legit. Hell, she worked for him so long he's still surprised she wasn't brought up in the 'embezzling' charges they had gotten him on.
But that just means that whoever blew the whistle on him was on a personal vendetta, not really out to destroy his 'shipping' business.
Apparently whoever it was didn't know - and still doesn't - what a force of nature his Thena is.
"My poor husband," Thena sighs both loudly and sweetly, putting an extra sweet note into her voice. She flutters her lashes and lets her hair slide off her shoulders, revealing just a little bit of cleavage under her cardigan. "Stuck in this awful place."
Gil raises an eyebrow, leaning closer in a somewhat vane attempt to block the guards' view of her. "Uh, baby?"
But she gives him another smile and taps the glass. It's morse code.
I'm going to pay one of them to give you something for me.
The little minx--his clever snowfox, more like. He snorts, forgoing the coded message and simply drawing a big heart on his side of the glass with his finger. "I know, it's awful. Wait for me?"
She tilts her head at him, "I won't be waiting long, since you'll be with me in no time."
He smiles. She hasn't wavered in that belief even once while visiting him. Even when he's attempted to bring up the flat back home, or his office he still owns here, or any of the other domestic stuff. She won't let him even imply that he won't be back by her side as soon as his trial happens. "Okay, fine, you won't be waiting long. But still...?"
Thena gives him a look he recognises from their earlier days of knowing each other. There's a lot happening behind those eyes of hers. But she would look at him like this sometimes when she was contemplating asking about his business meetings, or that time she had his favourite sundubu delivered to the office when he was sick.
Eventually, her debate with herself ends. It's not denial driving her, rather the drive and belief in whatever she's planning that will get him out of here. She'll do whatever she has to--he believes it too, looking at her.
Thena draws a much smaller, but just as earnest heart on her side of the glass. "I would wait for you until the world burned down around me."
Gil grins, bringing up his hand again to let their fingers press against the glass, as if he could touch the tip of his pointer to hers. It'll have to do. "I promise it won't be that long."
Thena slips her hand away and draws her facade over herself again, clearing her throat and shrugging away any real emotion she had let bleed through. "Indeed--I'm going to go have a meeting with some old associates of yours. I believe they'll hear me out. We had a lovely chat over some tea last we spoke."
Ah, yes, the juniors he had met with whose faces Thena had smashed with a tea tray. They probably would hear Thena out, even if it was just because enemies of Gil's were also enemies of theirs.
"Tell 'em to be on their best behaviour," Gil chuckles. He snarls at the guard waving at him to wrap it up. He sighs, "I gotta go, Princess."
"It's okay," Thena whispers back, her eyes already glassy at having to watch him get led away in handcuffs again. "I'll see you tomorrow."
"I love you, Naekkeo."
"I love you too," she promises, watching as he sets the receiver down, as does she. They hold each other's eyes until he's physically pulled from his seat to be marched back to his cell.
Thena undoes an extra button on her cardigan and stands, making a weepy show of picking up her designer purse.
"Ma'am, if you'll follow me."
Ah, so sweet and innocent seeming. She smiles at the guard--young, probably looking to rise in the ranks. And if he can't do that, then maybe he'll take a payoff from a rich inmate's wife. "Oh, how sweet of you."
She bats her eyelashes at the guard, making light conversation until she's almost out of the building. She looks at the young man without the crocodile tears in her eyes, "here."
He blinks as she slips an old nokia phone and pair of wired earbuds into his hand.
"You give that to him for me and this," she enunciates, slipping a thick stack of won into his pocket, "will be doubled by tomorrow. Can you do that for me?"
The young man gulps, but he doesn't hesitate to accept it, "yes, ma'am."
"Good boy," Thena purrs, watching the poor boy blush as she leaves the same way she came, surrendering her bag to be checked again. Not that anything will be amiss (the money was in the lining of the fake purse and the phone was nestled into her bra). "I'm sure my husband will remember your kindness when all this nasty business is over."

Helloooo, we both know that I’m kind of addicted to your writing and I kind of have a weak spot for stories where the woman is on her period and her boyfriend husband takes care of her while she is in pain… so my request is: could you pretty please write a story like this about Thenamesh?
Gil knocked on the door again, having gone ignored so far. He was worried, though. He had been texting Thena like usual, and he'd thought their last date went really well, too!
Then, suddenly, she went all cold. She told him she couldn't make it to lunch, and when he'd asked why she said she was sick. But when he offered to bring her something she said no. Just plain and simple 'no'.
Gil knocked again.
"I said wait a goddamn second!"
Gil blinked as she whipped the door open, looking just as surprised to see him there. "Uh, hi."
"Gil?" she blinked at him, hunched over and definitely looking miserable. "What're you-"
"Well, I-I know you said not to," he started quietly, clutching the bag he'd brought with him to his chest. The crinkling of the paper seemed loud in his ears and his cheeks flushed. "But I was worried about you."
"Oh, Gil," Thena whimpered, gripping her doorknob. He still didn't know what was wrong with her, but she didn't seem good. "Really, I--ah!"
"Thena!" he startled, watching as she clutched at her abdomen and sank to her knees. "Are you okay?"
She grumbled something, letting him help her up, at least. "It's nothing."
"I really can't believe that," he frowned. She didn't seem feverish, or sound congested or anything. "Will you please tell me what's wrong?"
"It's stupid."
"Huh?" he frowned, seeing her bottom lip wobble a little. "Thena?"
"It's just my period, Gil," she admitted at last. Her hand was over her forehead and eyes as she said it, as if she were ashamed of it. "Sometimes it's just worse than normal. It's nothing."
"Doesn't seem like nothing," he argued, leaning over the back of her couch to try and get a look at her again. She did look at him, and she seemed surprised at his response. He frowned, "you seem like you're in pain."
"Well-"
"Even if it's not always this bad," he continued, retrieving his paper bag from the floor. "I can still help."
"You don't have to," came her miserable little voice from her couch as she pulled a blanket over her legs.
Gil shook his head. "These things happen, right? It's perfectly natural."
Thena shuddered in pain again, her knees curling up around her. "That is not how I would describe this."
"Have you taken painkillers for it?"
"I thought I had some," she snivelled, still teetering between boiling anger and tears. "But I didn't stock up after last time--stupid."
"Hey," Gil cut in softly. What he really wanted was to pull her into his arms completely and cuddle her. But he wasn't sure how receptive she was going to be to being moved at all. He settled for leaning over the back of the couch, looping his arms around her shoulders and pressing his cheek to her hair. "You're not stupid."
She sniffled again. "You're sweet."
Gil looked off to the side with a miserable expression. "This is a pretty low bar, Sweetheart--I'd like to think I'm just...being a person about it."
Thena leaned her head against his slightly, shifting on the couch. "My ex was always telling me-"
"Ugh, that guy," Gil rolled his eyes. Thena muttered an apology, as if bringing him up was the problem. "He's the problem, Thena. And if he couldn't even take care of you like this then he wasn't fit to be called a boyfriend."
Thena stayed quiet as he handed over a bottle of gingerale and a bottle of painkillers specifically listing menstrual cramps on the box.
"You take those," he directed, rifling through his bag of supplies. He pulled out a bag of chocolates he knew were her favourite, "and these. I'll make you something to eat."
Thena immediately tore into all three things he'd handed her. "Gil?"
"Yeah?" he leaned out of the kitchen to look back at her.
"How did you know?" she asked, still quiet. She held up the bottle of painkillers, "to bring these?"
But he shrugged. "I didn't know if it was this, or if you were sick, or what. So I just wanted to come prepared. There's cough syrup and flu stuff in the bag too."
Thena let out a laugh, and thank god, 'cause he missed that sound. "You really are sweet."
Gil set her burner to low and went back to her, leaning over the arm of the couch to kiss her cheek. "Again, pretty basic boyfriend stuff. You've gotta raise your standards, T."
Thena took her time, but she eventually settled against the back of the couch, watching him cook. She smiled at him sweetly, with those beautiful green eyes of hers. "I don't know. I got you, and I can't imagine anyone better."
Gil blushed to his ears. He turned around again, happy for the excuse of frying some garlic before he started on her pasta. "Don't you worry about a thing, Sweetie. I'll get lunch made right up for us, you just sit and relax!"
