growing up with a perpetually anxious primary caregiver is such a mindfuck. that shit will rewire your nervous system

#not a shitpost #i get that parenthood and modern life in general is extremely anxiety inducing #and that anxiety is a common mental health issue and anxiety disorders exist and do not disqualify you from being a loving parent #but i am begging you PLEASE do not project your anxiety onto your kids #especially younger kids #your job is to make your kids feel safe and secure. that is a primary requirement #that doesn't mean you can't be anxious! #but just like being angry doesn't mean you're allowed to yell at your kids or slam doors or break things #being anxious doesn't mean you are allowed to surround your kids with your own fear and stress or teach them to share your anxieties #your job is to be a comforting nurturing parental figure. that means projecting comfort and love #even when it is hard! even when you are tired or angry or scared! #which is a damn hard job! and you won't get it right all the time! #but dammit babes you gotta TRY #kids deserve to feel safe and comfortable in their daily lives #you CANNOT be teaching them to expect catastrophe lurking around every corner

I don't understand why some people like to say that Hua Cheng is a stalker, when for me it's nothing like that at all.

He wasn't stalking Xie Lian for 800 years, he was looking for him. He spent 800 years looking for Xie Lian and only found him when he ascended for the third time. And the moment he found him, he went straight to him. He didn't show his true form at first, but he wasn't hiding. And every time he showed up it was just to help Xie Lian and he never took away Xie Lian's autonomy.

Yes, he has his fic cave, but let's contextualize here: he is xie lian's only believer, at that moment on mount tognlu he didn't know where xie lian was, the last time they saw each other xie lian was not in a good mental state. I think making the statues and drawings was a way for him not to forget (I know he would never, but yk what I mean).

And just like xie lian, we didn't had the chance to see the murals that feng xin and mu qing were so horrified by. I think it wasn't that bad, I don't trust their (or any heavenly official) opinion on hua cheng.

And when he was hong er he wasn't stalking either. I think when he was alive he just wanted to help and be close to xie lian (when he died too but yk...)

the idea of the peredhel twins having heightened senses due to their maia blood is one of the concepts ive seen floating around that i really like, so here's my take on it combined with the feanorians (+ fingon) lingering about as houseless spirits that i explored some time ago in an old inktober post 😌

houseless spirits see all, but they can't interact with the world around them so i suppose that makes for quite a static existence...but compared to an oathbound eternity in Mandos (sans Fingon??), i like to imagine they'll stay a little longer to watch over those left behind, just to make sure they're doing alright 👍🏻

pony town's literally the best formula for a social plural game (except... you know... it's just ponies) in our opinion, because you can make multiple ponies (skins) in a flexible character editor and switch between them at will in-game. we've dreamt for a game like that and forgot that the formula was right in front of us.

problem is pony town's current plural playerbase is comprised of anti-endos. so i think us pro-endos should start infiltrating the servers

Twins AU? Do tell!

Ohh!! I am still a bit torn about this AU, but I think I will write it as a non abilities/modern AU (it could be canonverse, but I think I don't wanna deal with the complex implications of it). Rimlaine will be Chuuya and his twin brother's (name to be chosen still though I had some loose thoughts on how to choose it) parents, it has skk childhood friends, and the inspiration for all this/the twin brother is from the clone in the lab in canon (Stormbringer broke me and I'm making it everyone's problem).

It's a fun AU though! The twin brother is rougher around the edges than Chuuya, but they're both bffs with Dazai who has no problems telling them apart. The plot is, uh, lacking, it's my newest WIP haha I just wanted to write Chuuya with a twin brother and Rimlaine parents xD
