I love love love the idea that Kaitlyn is also a ginger with blue eyes who is about 3 inches taller than aaron and aaron and Andrew never really realise until one day Nicky (without thinking) goes “hey have you guys ever noticed how aaron and Andrew have the same type” when Neil and Kaitlyn are standing close to each other
Cue the foxes all losing it and Aaron and Andrew looking at each other with a disgust and a glare

When I first heard about the Hacketters' last names I was surprised cause the characters scream American clichés but their last name really don't sound American. Now many people have discovered some last names have a meaning in other languages that kinda fit the characters so I figured I would list all the meanings (feel free to correct me if I get one wrong):
(Abigail) Blyg: "shy" in Swedish
(Kaitlyn) Ka : "map" in Chinese (as in she leads others?)
(Ryan) Erzahler : "narrator" or "storyteller" in German (Erzähler)
(Dylan) Lenivy : "lazy" in Czech
(Nick) Furcillo : "support"/"to act as a support" in Latin (or "fork" in Romanian but I doubt it's what they had in mind)
(Laura) Kearney : "warlike" in Gaelic
(Jacob) Custos : "guard" or "keeper" in Greek
(Emma) Mountebank : "charlatan" or someone who pretends to be who they are not in English
(Max) Brinly : only found "burnt meadow/wood" in English but I'm probably missing something
(Eliza and Silas) Vorez : pretty sure it comes from the Latin word "vorax" which is basically "voracious"
As for the Hacketts they probably just have a generic name

I’d hope to be your Romeo (Emma/Kaitlyn)
When Emma asks for her help with a photoshoot, Kaitlyn agrees. Will posing as one of the most iconic couples be the push for them to take their relationship to the next level?
AO3
Kaitlyn Ka didn’t get nervous. There was a certain level of mental toughness needed to get as far in professional women's hockey as her. She’d never lost a staring contest. Doing a favour for a pretty girl was not going to be the thing to make her doubt herself.
So the warmth in her face and racing of her heart was due to the uncomfortable costume armour she was wearing. A voice in her head that sounded suspiously like Dylan’s smug little voice asked do you really expect me to believe that? He’d asked the same thing when he’d dropped her off at Emma’s earlier.
(“Fuck off,” had been her response. He had only given her a long, knowing look in return.)
There was a knock on the door.
“Can I come in?” Emma asked.
Kaitlyn leant against the wall. She hoped the redness in her face wasn’t too obvious. “Sure.”
Emma stepped into the bathroom. She scanned her outfit and clapped her hands together in approval. “Oh my gosh. You look great! I knew you’d suit it!l
The twenty minutes it took to get herself squeezed into the costume no longer felt like a waste of time to Kaitlyn. If Emma kept looking at her like that, she’d wear the costume for the rest of her life.
“Thanks. Are you nearly ready?”
Emma was still in her usual clothes - a cropped sweater and a high waisted skirt. She usually favoured high ponytails or effortless messy buns but now her hair was down and straightened. It was longer than she had been imagining and Kaitlyn wanted to run her fingers through it.
Emma kept talking, oblivious to the effect she was having on her. Or maybe she was aware and just so used to being admired that Kaitlyn’s not-so-subtle awe was nothing new.
“Oh please, my perfection takes time. My hair and make up is done but I could use a hand with my dress.”
“What?”
Emma had the long white dress hung up in her bedroom, which was a curtained off corner of her studio apartment. She held it up against herself, twirling in front of the gold floor length mirror that featured in her daily Instagram.
“Bless Abi, she did a great job fitting this for me. But the zipper is on the back.”
Kaitlyn swallowed. Nerves of steel, she repeated to herself. It was her usual pre-game mantra. Nerves of fucking steel.
Emma saved her any more gay panic by dipping behind her bedroom curtain to get dressed.
“I swear, clothes are not designed for single girls,” she said. “Lucky I have you to solve that problem.”
She was talking about the zipper but it only added fuel to Kaitlyn’s domestic daydreams. She wasn’t usually like this, getting so hung up on girl. Emma hadn’t been like her usual flings, which were intense but usually only lasted a week or two. They’d been friends for ages and the feelings had snuck up on her. Kaitlyn knew she was in too deep when she had agreed to play dress up for Emma’s Instagram feed.
“Kaitlyn, can you help with the zip now?”
Nerves of fucking steel.
Emma stepped out from the curtain, now in the long, flowly dress, holding her hair away from her neck. She turned around so Kaitlyn could reach the zip, pulling it up the final inch that was out of Emma’s reach. Kaitlyn tried very hard to be normal about being so close to her bare, freckled shoulders.
“Thanks.” Emma spun around again, back at the mirror. “Oh, I love this!”
“Wings,” Kaitlyn reminded her.
She disappeared back behind the curtain. “Oh yeah. Abi made those too. I should really give her a raise.”
“You don’t pay her,” Kaitlyn said.
She poked her head round. “I’ll steal her from Nick for a night and get her dinner as thanks.”
Emma emerged in the wings, fluffy white feathered things that completed the look.
She looked positively…
“Angelic.”
Emma beamed. “Thank you. You look pretty stunning too. Best looking Romeo I’ve ever seen.”
“Dylan would disagree. He’s lucky Ryan isn’t the jealous type because he was all over young Leo.”
Emma scoffed. “Oh him? I totally forgot he was even in it. I don’t think I’ll be able to rewatch the film and not imagine you in his place.”
Kaitlyn blinked. “Oh-“
“You’re speechless,” Emma said, delighted.
“I’m not- Whatever. Can we get back to the photos?” Kaitlyn asked.
For a moment Emma looked almost disappointed. But she busied herself with setting up the background before Kaitlyn could figure out her expression. She had drapered golden string lights along her usual white background and even wheeled out a large fish tank.
“Did you get that just for this photoshoot?”
“It’s my favourite scene,” Emma said. “The longing, the instant connection, the pining. If I was going to do Romeo and Juliet, I’m doing it right.”
Kaitlyn had loved that scene too. She understood what the desperate pining felt like.
“How many times have you seen the film?”
“At least a dozen,” Emma admitted. “It’s one of things that made me want to start performing. One of the best love stories, the tragedy of it, the violent delights, set against the modern setting. Proof that Shakespeare is truly eternal. I wrote my final project on modern Shakespeare adaptations.”
“Wow,” Kaitlyn said.
Emma liked to play up her confidence and carefree side a lot but she was surprisingly sincere. Her intelligence came as a surprise to some of her fans but not to Kaitlyn. She liked all the hidden depths to Emma.
“Pretentious, I know.”
“Maybe a little. But I like it.”
Emma smiled. “Thanks.”
She had plugged in the fish tank and the blue glow of its light played against her face.
“This is going to look so good!”
She moved to mess with the camera on its tripod, brushing against Kaitlyn to get to it. She was doing something complicated with the settings that Kaitlyn didn’t understand.
“I need some test shots,” Emma said, “to work out the lighting. Will you stand by the tank?”
Kaitlyn did as instructed, bending down to peer through the glass. Emma’s face appeared on the other side and the camera clicked.
“Best way to get a genuine reaction,” she whispered. The shutter clicked again.
“And Emma is the sun,” she said.
“Getting into character?” Emma asked.
She shook her head the tiniest amount. “No.”
Emma’s eyes went wide. The shutter clicked.
“How’s that for a genuine reaction?” Kaitlyn asked.
“So that was just for the photo?”
“No,” she said, softly. “Come on Em. I wouldn’t do this for anyone else.”
Emma’s face disappeared from view. Kaitlyn stood up too. A hand tapped her shoulder and as she turned, Emma wrapped her arms around her shoulders and leant in.
It was the moment after the kiss, the two of them smiling, foreheads pressed together, that Emma posted a few weeks later.
Kaitlyn leaned over her shoulder, watching her type out the caption. “I didn’t realise you got that moment too.”
Emma pressed send and put her phone down. “I got the kiss too but I’m keeping that just for us.”
“Ah that’s sweet babe.”
“I’ll send it to you,” Emma promised. “I just need to reply to the early comments first-“
Kaitlyn pulled the phone gently from her hand. “That can wait.”
“But Emma nation-“
“I’m the most loyal member,” Kaitlyn said, with a pout. “Here you are, ignoring me.”
“You’re insufferable,” Emma said. But she didn’t reach for the phone again, instead snuggling into her girlfriend’s shoulder.
“Remind me, is that a line from the play?”
“It’s from an even better love story. Kaitlyn and Emma.”
She smiled. “Ah babe. You put my name first.”
“Only because you’re the Romeo in this metaphor.”
Kaitlyn rolled her eyes but she was happy enough, snuggled up with a morning coffee in her girlfriend’s bed. It wasn’t even close to the original story but she liked their ending better.

dylan is an emotional ping pong. he’s playful with his quips. and he’s fairly forward in showing his interest with ryan too. he’s like that guy you know who people generally like because of their playful nature, but who is annoying. but their annoyance is tolerable because it comes from affection rather than malice.
at the same time though, he frantically panics in tense situations:
he freaked out bad when nick was in danger. backing away from the situation. reluctant to help probably from being lost in his thoughts
he freaked out bad in the shed. when he found out their position was compromised, and when he backed away from warning his friends outside
he freaked out bad in the cabin. when he ran away by himself and ditched kaityln as she secured the door when the bear chased them (although credit where credit is due at the scrapyard)
ryan is more centered. despite his standoffish and introverted demeanor, he rose to the occasion to become assertive and courageous. he’s the one who calmed dylan down when he lost himself.
this kind of trope amuses me. ryan is the one who has to cuddle coddle dylan because when dylan freaks out, he freaks out.

Killua being friends with a reader from The Quarry?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warnings: Mention of bl00d, mention of amputati0n, mentions of de@th, guns, violence, swearing maybe, possible ooc, major spoilers for multiple endings of The Quarry, and just the game in general.
Relationship: Meant to be viewed as platonic but can be viewed as romantic maybe? Extra: Your favorite camp counselor can be anyone, but I did extra for Dylan because he's my favorite.
-basically the reader was a camper at Hackett's Quarry and got stuck there?
-when he learned about your story he was abit sad
-but also curious
-I imagine him asking about the werewolves
-if you were in the radio shack with Dylan and Ryan when Dylan's hand got cut off, he immediately worried about you
-He knew you had some sort of story but didn't quite know what -if you ever have some sort of ptsd from it in any way, he's there for you.
-he dosent really know what to do though?
How he would react to meeting the counselors:
DYLAN
-You were probably shopping with Killua and ran into Dylan.
-You two were catching up and Killua was just standing there
-Ended up introducing the two!
-Killua called him old very quick and Dylan got abit annoyed.
-Killua was abit jealous but he would never say that
-Killua probably doesn't like Dylan tbh 💀
-Nothings wrong with him, he just doesn't like him. (totally not because he's jealous)
KAITYLN
-You also randomly ran into her
-She noticed Killua and asked about him -Kaitlyn 100% teased the two of you 💀
NICK
-ALSO ran into him.
-you & killua were in Australia idk
-you talked to nick for awhile and introduced the two to eachother
JACOB
-Ran into him (maybe at some sports event?)
-Killua immediately told you that he was built like a Disney bully.
-Jacob defended himself
-you reminded Jacob that he got caught in TWO traps in one night 💀💀
-Killua thought he was an enemy at first 💀
ABI
- Abi was excited since she hadn't seen you in awhile
-She thought you two were cute even if you weren't together
RYAN
-You two were super excited to see eachother
-Even if Ryan didn't show it -Killua thought he was weird 😭😭
EMMA -T E A S I N G
-In all honesty she probably posted a video about that encounter to her channel 💀
-Killua thought she was annoying ☹️

hm. 9!
Thanks for the ask anon!
9. worst part of canon
I hate when dee became the "golden goddess" and then had sex with a minor .
Now, as previously established, I have horrible media literacy but to me dess is always an extension of dennis and they will wrote her to do things that mirrors dennis and you could say "oh it's to show like the sibling twin link they have" but I never notice dennis having mirrors attributes? If that names sense? Like dee will pick up dennis' traits, but dennis hasn't picked up Dee's traits. At least to me, maybe he has, and I just haven't noticed.
But that's all just to say I dislike how she doesn't have her own thing this ep it's just as tho kaityln is playing dennis which is very upsetting, we could have had a better development of dee's shittyness outside the gang that isn't just a line describing how she's horrible outside the gang (her rape discussion with dennis in goes to hell) add some more depth to her character that we get to watch that's unique to her and not and dennis things that now a dee thing.
Also, just jesus christ, the sex with a minor, also known as rape, why just why. Not having sex with kids is like the ONE thing the whole gang agrees on. It just felt like they needed a way to link franks plot to everyone else, and dee ls plot is often thrown to the side in favor of the boys. There was Nothing stopping the writer from making that kid 18 Nothing. And imo 18 is Just as bad it's still fucking disgusting but it not As bad and would be In character of dee to defend having sex with an 18 year old.
Any idk idk idk maybe I'm just thinking too hard or too little and most of this is easy to disprove.

Junk Yard.
(slight mention of Dylan x reader)
(sorry for any spelling mistakes)
the quarry + reader
description: during the night where you have fought to survive, you go to look in a car junk yard for a spare car part, in hopes you can finally find away out.
characters: kaitlyn, Dylan, Reader
song: Custer, Slipknot.
“go to summer camp” my mom said, “it will be good for you to get some fresh air, meet new friends.”
sure, isn’t being a camp counsel great! playing games with the kid’s, swimming, Marshmallows, almost getting eaten alive, it all sounds just so amazing! maybe i would of felt less on edge if i just stayed in the shelter with Emma and Abigail, Like Dylan insisted.
it was dark out, all though you didn’t know what time it was, it was most likely early morning.
The dark cold breeze left goose bumps on your exposed arm, but you didn’t care about the cold, or the the Blood and dirt covering your face and clothes, or your aching body from trying to fight off the werewolf, which you barley managed to do. you just wanted to go home.
————
Kaitlyn opened the gate, with me and Dylan following behind her.
“these guy’s never throw anything out, huh?”
holding the gun tightly to her body, looking around to make sure it’s safe for us to enter.
“so…do you want give us some directions on what we’re looking for specifically?” Dylan asked, following behind her.
“well most of these cars look like they already been stripped apart, they’re just empty frames and chassis, which doesn’t help us much.” she said, turning her head slightly towards us but continued walking.
“sooo…we’re looking for….engines?” i asked
“well anything really intact.”
“got it”
the sound of the creaking rusted cars, and the light rain hitting the Metal didn’t exactly help with the situation. you opened up the engines of the cars, but didn’t find anything useful.
Dylan walked up beside you, knocking on the metal. “looks like we got our work cut out for us, huh?” he said smiling at you, now leaning on the side of the car with his arms crossed.
“can you try not to make so much noise?” a annoyed Kaitlyn said.
“oh, right.”
i looked towards Kaitlyn “anything by you?”
she sighed, “nothing yet, keep looking.”
“ya know, i been thinking. If we survive this we’re either never gonna talk again, or be bonded for life.”
Dylan piped up. “i hope the second option.”
“how about we just get threw the night first?” Kaitlyn said.
“you know what? i think that may be a good idea” i said as i continued to look for spare parts from the cars.
after a few more moments of checking the cars, we couldn’t find anything useful. Dylan walked over to the gate that leads to the other side of the junk yard, with us following behind him.
“ah fuck sticks…there must be a way to open it?” kaityln said, still holding the gun close to her frame. Dylan turned around to examine the junk yard for anything that could help.
“maybe in that house….thingy?”
“let’s go look then” i said, making a following motion with my arms.
————
looking around the ‘house thingy’ you stood looking at a orange calendar, Dylan walked too you’re side, looking at the calendar.
“these son’s of bitches had it all planned out.” he said, looking at you. you shrugged and the both of you continued looking.
standing beside Kaityln, you watched as Dylan looked at a piece of paper.
“who’s T?”
“i don’t know”
he looked back at you and sighed. “look’s like these guy’s were cooking the books a little.”
“hm, dodgy.”
“you said it.”
you all walked towards a table with a green button, which Dylan pressed with a questionable look on his face.
the sound of screeching filled your ears, as you watched the gate slowly open.
“are we gonna end up in a documentary?” Dylan asked.
“no, Maybe.” you replied, but Kaitlyn quickly ended the conversation.
“shut up, let’s go.”
———-
walking through the gate, on of the lights shattered, making Dylan scream and you jump, not at the loud sound of the light breaking though, but the sound of his painfully ‘Fake’ scream
“Sorry, that was scary.”
“you’re so annoying.” you say walking away from him and catching up with Kaitlyn.
“that light breaking at a time like this, is what’s actually annoying.”
Kaitlyn turned to look at him. “we are being hunted, by literal monsters. And that’s what bothered you?”
he looked at her. “they’re both bad.”
“you think the other’s are okay?” he asked you.
“I’m sure they’re fine, i hope.”
“they’re probably safer then we are out here.” Kaitlyn mentioned, and walked away to continue looking.
you patted Dylan’s back. “c’mon”
———-
Dylan walked up too a old plank of wood, sitting up right against a rusting old car.
“hm, harem scarem, you see this guys?” he said as he looked towards you, you nodded and continued looking.
“look over there.” i pointed out a hanging car, being held up by a crane.
“good eye.” Dylan complimented.
“i don’t suppose any of you know how to operate a crane, or do you?” you said, looking between the two of them.
“nope, but i vote Dylan.”
“well i don’t agree with that plan.” Dylan piped up.
“i’ll go with you.” you said reassuringly.
“what about me?”
“you have a gun Kaitlyn, you + gun = protection. me + Dylan = protection. see?
“you know, i use to be pretty, pretty good at the claw game at my local arcade.” he clicks his tongue on the roof of his mouth. “The kids used to call me ‘the grabber’” he said proudly.
me and Kaitlyn look at him with disturbed faces. “nope, nope, uh uh.”
“yeah….i’m hearing that now.”
“look, why don’t the two of you see if you can lower the car down so i can take a look under the hood?”
we stood the silently before Dylan hesitated to answer. “uh, yeah sure thing, just um, watch our backs ya?”
“sure thing” we heard Kaitlyn as we headed up the stairs to the crane.
———
Dylan climbed in first, pushing out some trash out of the way. “Looks like somebody’s mom never taught them. too clean up after themselves.” he said as he made room for you to sit beside him. “Didn’t realize you were such a neat freak over the tiniest bit of dirt.”you commented as he rolled his eyes at your remark.
he looked down to his right, pushing the key into the key hole. “alright, not too complicated.” he flipped the switch and soon after the engine started running.
the light of the crane started flashing and spinning around frantically, and loud metal music started playing out of the speaker.
“at least if we die we’ll have some tones to listen too.”
“what the hell is going on up there?” Kaitlyn yelled from the ground.
“shit, my bad.” Dylan yelled back, as he quickly struggled to turn off the loud music.
“all right. here goes nothing.”
we struggle as we try to figure out what levers and buttons are for what, Dylan sways the car left too right until he finally makes it go left and slowly lowers it towards Kaitlyn.
you nudge his shoulder “See? not to bad huh.”
the car finally reaches the ground and a relived Kaitlyn shouts at the two of you. “You did it!”
“uh yeah, i think i found my calling.” Dylan let out a relieved sign.
“well i’m gonna see if i can this thing running!” Kaitlyn shouts.
“i’ll help” i say as i get up from my seat, no longer touching shoulder to shoulder with Dylan, but he quickly reaches out for your arm. “wait, i don’t want to be left alone up here.” he said looking up at you, still latching onto your arm. you couldn’t help but feel your heart beat faster from his gesture. “fucking score!” you heard Kaitlyn cheer, and you sat back down, now sitting shoulder too shoulder with Dylan again. “guess it’s your lucky day, Dylan.” he sighed happily and looked towards Kaitlyn, until the motion censored lights started going on one by one. “Shit.”
Kaitlyn crawled into the car seeing if there’s anything useful to grab, Dylan started to raise the car from the ground, a hungry werewolf jumping up at it. “Dylan! Stop you idiot! i’m still in the car!”
the werewolf jumped onto the bottom of the car, now finally latching onto it.
“Dylan, get the werewolf off the fucking car!” you say shaking him, you could hear Kaitlyn cursing loudly through the slightly cracked opened windows. “uh, okay hold on!” a panicked Dylan said, and started beeping the horn. making the werewolf shriek and jump off the car, but it quickly started heading towards us. “shit, Dylan. shit, shit, shit, we’re gonna die.”
“it’s okay just hold on!”
he said as he tried to reassure you, grabbing onto your hand, hoping to comfort himself and you. he looked around frantically for something to help, and pulls out a fire blower. (idk what it’s called LOL) and struggling too get it to work, you watch as the werewolf crawls closer and closer too the already shattered windshield.
he finally gets it to finally blow fire. as you struggle to stay out of reach from the werewolf. you slide down in your seat, your head now by Dylan’s Waist, and the rest of your body on the dirty floor, still holding onto his hand. you would of been flustered by this if the circumstance were different. “Dylan! hurry the fuck up. it smells like wet socks down here!”
“Alright hold on!” he said as he started shooting the fire at it, you watched as it screamed in agony and finally ran away. you breathed heavily and slowly sat back up, to how you were sitting before, and looked at, Dylan. embracing him in a side hug. “i don’t think i’ll ever be the same after tonight.”
you say pulling away slowly, still resting your hands on his shoulder. “i’m never being a camp counsellor again.” you silently agreed, Kaitlyn yelled up toward the top of you. you haven’t even noticed that she jumped out of the car.
“if you two are done with your confessions, can we please go now before that thing comes back?” she said, making Dylan look at you slightly, with slightly embarrassed red cheeks. he knows Kaitlyn says this stuff on purpose, but why’d she have to do it now? you sat up and stepped out of crane, waiting for Dylan to follow behind you.

"My name is..."
I'm Kaityln Colfield, but you can call me Kai if you'd like. Although, I'd absolutely adore it if you called me Kitty instead. "Why?" you wonder? Well, I can't explain it, but I simply love being called Kitty because, you know, I'm fond of cats! I recently turned 19, so I'm officially not a minor anymore. My pronouns are she/her, and my personality tags include Cancer and INFJ.
Do you have any more questions about me? If you do, feel free to slide into my DMs and ask away! 🍊
