This is the first installation in my daily correspondences! Let me know if there is information you'd like me to include that isn't. I will be sticking to pagan and ancient religions for holidays, as I do not have the knowledge to properly convey the holidays for more widely practiced religions (and there's more info out there on those!). Sources will be posted separately if people are interested in where I get my info. If you use the recommended ingredients in my working of the day PLEASE double check the latin name! Many herbs can be very dangerous when used improperly, what can be used in a tincture can't be used in an incense sometimes, and so on. If you forage them, triple check that you have the plant you think you do. When in doubt, don't use it. While I do include some health warnings, always do your own research.

Working of the Day

Channel the energy of the Moon in Cancer, and the Tuesday energy of Mars. Create something to help you regain energy and power in your home, help it to become a source of strength. Make a wreath or a floor wash.

Possible Ingredients

Sweet Basil Ocicum basilicum - Do not take the essential oil internally. Use the leaf, stem, and flowers. Good for mending lovers' quarrels and in love spells. Attracts money and brings good luck to a new home. Brings happiness to the home. Helpful to ease digestive issues.

Daisy Bellis perennis - Poisonous, do not use medicinally. Use the above-ground portions of the herb. Can bring love and recall lost lovers. Brings harmony and healing.

Plantain Plantago lanceolta - Use the leaf. Herb of protection for the home. Guards against intrusion of evil spirits. Helpful for healing bruises and broken bones. Helps with mucus from allergies.

Dog Rose Rosa canina - Use the hips. Very high in vitamins and make an excellent syrup for young children. Good for promoting general health in the home, and especially for children.
