re the privacy thing, if they cannot guarantee that they will keep the children out of your bedroom, then they should spring for locks on your door. it's good that they're trying with the kids but fundamentally it is unreasonable to have your privacy be a function of how obedient kids (esp male kids) are. it's not paranoid of you to want to guarantee people do not enter the room where sleep and change etc rather than just reduce the probability. love your blog btw

it's an issue that barely ever comes up because the kids aren't here often, and usually they are constrained solely to the living room. i'm also potentially moving within a year (also, i'm moving out of my current room in a few months, and into the room downstairs, which i'm not looking forward to, i'll lose my own upstairs toilet that i had to myself, and be stuck with the guest one that people who are in the living room use, and it being downstairs puts it at greater risk of people opening my door, especially since it's directly opposite the bathroom door and people might get muddled. but i'll deal with that when i get there). it's not that big a deal to me, as long as they are keeping the kids downstairs, which they do, the one time one tried to enter was when they had taken them up to show them renovations, and he quickly walked the metre from their door to mine and tried to open, and they quickly grabbed him as he was turning the handle.

if i seem reluctant or defensive, locked bedroom doors are extremely uncommon in even flatting situations here. it's considered a fire and health risk. i have lived in a ton of houses renting, both back with my family, and with strangers as an adult, and no house has ever had bedroom door locks, it's just not a thing. which sounds crazy considering how many people flat in a house with randoms from ads online, separated apartments are not a thing here really, but yeah. never too much of a problem. even though i hated living with the men i previously lived with, none of them ever went in or near my room. the 'no one can enter my room' rule is super respected here. the only time i ever had a bedroom lock was when i was literally living in a commercial university dorm, so a semi-public space. so, it just doesn't feel worth the effort to get a lock. i might incidentally get one, the landlord is planning on replacing the door knobs eventually, and she has some with push locks, but yeah.

please be so, so careful taking advice from these people online, as many of them are not formally trained or educated, brand ambassadors, deep in pseudoscientific rabbit holes and unfortunately, there are many out there who struggle with disordered eating habits

(not mentioned here but another one worth noting: i have personally known people who have burned their oesophagus with viral apple cider vinegar shots and drinks. don’t do that. a burned oesophagus is not fun)

honestly it was a red flag when bbc sherlock went “well obviously the word written in blood isn’t the german word for revenge, it’s clearly the beginning of the name ‘rachel’, what absolute idiot would fail to see that” when in the original novel it is, in fact, the german word for revenge, which sherlock points out gleefully to a roomful of policemen who all figure it’s the beginning of the name ‘rachel.’

and by red flag I mean it was a clear sign that the adaptation was trying to one-up the source material, instead of engaging with it with love.

You know how in some ghost stories sometimes its not a person or a land that's haunted but the items?

Well what if, when looking for a mother's day gift for his mom, Danny is looking around a pawn shop and finds a necklace, it's missing some pearls but it's just enough to pass off as a decent gift. Danny humms but decides against it and goes to leave it....

That was until he gasped out blue frost and spots a ghostly woman appear out of the necklace with a somber smile. She isn't as seeable as the other ghosts in Amity though, meaning she doesn't have enough ectoplasm on her own (that might change the longer she's in Amity and around Danny though) and that right now only Danny can see her.

And Danny well... hes been doing his hero gig for a bit now, might go and ask if there was anything he can do to help.

And later Danny's good deed... bites him back. Oh boy. Because now he has the Bats looking into Amity Park... Wait what do you mean Martha is now strong enough to be seen?!
