About a month ago now, @alphakuriboh talked about doing a tier list of all Pokemon based on designs.  This was mostly because our taste, particularly in Gen 8 Pokemon, is very different.  So I’m doing this based on aesthetics, without necessarily considering attachment from various playthroughs, although there are some that definitely cannot be detangled for a general sense of affection.  Anyway, here’s my stance on Gen 1.  For anyone who wants to play along, here’s the tier list I used.
I included seven tiers, because there are a lot of Pokemon, and I felt like I needed the divisions for larger dexes.  E-tier is included to differentiate D-tier’s “It’s fine even though I don’t love it” and F-tier’s “I really do not like this” from the cluster that’s “I actually don’t really like the design, but it’s not, like, awful.”
Basically, anything below D is where I’m like “I do not like this,” and D is neutral.  Anything C or above should be considered something I like, anything A or above is generally a favorite, with S being the ones that I adore and think stand out as the best.  Because F-tier is like...an intense stance of “this thing looks awful to me,” not every generation will have something in F-tier, but it will be listed to maintain consistency.  I’ll be using “pokemon regional tier list” as the tag for all of these.
Cast judgment as you wish.
S: I love foxes, Articuno is best bird, Dragonair and Kadabra look better than their final evolutions fight me.
A: A-tier consistently finds itself home to the Pokemon I think look really cool, but aren’t necessarily my peak aesthetic, like Gyarados or the Nidos. It also houses Pokemon I think are legitimately adorable, like Ponyta or Dewgong, but again, aren’t necessarily hitting that peak.
B: B-tier wound up being kinda nebulous, in a sense of “I like the design well, and better than C, but not enough to be a favorite.”  So it gets things like Clefable and Wigglytuff, who are super cute, but aren’t really hitting the preferred aesthetic, as well as cool options like Machamp that I do enjoy, but aren’t quite as visually interesting as a Gyarados.
C: Pidgeot is probably the best representative of this tier.  I like it, but it’s like...a like in the sense that I’d run it but it wouldn’t be top pick, you know?
D: Charizard is the best representative.  Charizard’s design is fine.  But it’s only fine.  It’s a stock standard fire-breathing dragon design with like nothing interesting going on.  That’s really what D-tier is about.  I don’t feel like you’re doing anything too creative.  Or, if you’re trying to do something creative like Porygon or Ditto, it’s just not that interesting.
E: I’m gonna point to Primeape, in part to say “this doesn’t look great,” but also because I actually like Primeape and run it all the time in FRLG’s early game, but because this is about aesthetics, this is what happens.  Golbat’s another good example.  It doesn’t look great, but it’s not, like, a disaster.
F: This is where I take a hard stance of No Thanks.  Jynx and Mr. Mime are the only ones here.  I trust I don’t need to explain myself.

BIG NEWS
Here's first of the two fics I wrote for the amazing @zorofanzine!! Leftover sales open on May 10th so check it out! You don't want to miss out on all the top-notch Zoro content <3
[ Read on AO3 ]
----------
Big news! Big news!
The street killer and ronin named Zorojuro has disappeared! After he was apprehended and sentenced to seppuku, he has murdered the Flower Capital’s Magistrate and with him, every single policeman at the station at the time!
A most dangerous criminal! More dangerous than Kamazo the Manslayer! More wicked than Ushimitsu Kozo! And he has disappeared without a trace!
Everyone! Please be wary walking the streets—if you see him, do not engage and alert the authorities!
Watch out for a man with only one eye and three katanas at his waist! He is responsible for the deaths of more than thirty people!
You heard it here first, folks!
Everyone!
Read all about Zorojuro’s crimes right here! Right on this broadsheet, read in detail about the destruction he had caused! The list of victims! His description!
Esteemed people of the Capital!
Come and get your own; you can’t miss this news! So hear! Zorojuro the Magistrate Killer has disappeared! Refer to the wanted signs—aaaaand! This flyer! You can grab yours right here!
—————
In the streets of the Flower Capital, a crowd has gathered. Listening eagerly to the news announcement, asking for the flyers and broadsheets and wanted posters. Talking all over each other, hoping for the newsboy to notice them and hand them the papers with information carefully written on them.
And among these people, stood a lonesome travelling monk with a tengai covering his head. A komuso was a rare sight in the capital but not rare enough to garner any attention—and that seemed to be exactly what the monk clad in a black and white yukata and brown haori with a flower pattern wanted. He stood amidst the crowd silently, a black nodachi with a white cross pattern resting against his shoulder, listening. His tattooed hand shook slightly as he clutched at the flyer with Zorojuro’s likeness on it.
His head turned slightly when the newsboy started shouting again.
—————
Aaaand! Another big news! Big news!
A ghost of a samurai has been appearing all across the Land of Wano! Flower Capital, Ringo, Kibi, Kuri, Udon, and Hakumai—all regions of the country report sightings of this mysterious spectre!
Is he a samurai who was murdered in a war hundreds of years ago? Or a victim of the vile Zorojuro? Is he in cahoots with the gashadokuro who’s been reported to haunt a remote graveyard in the snowy Ringo?
Only one thing is for sure; no one is safe!
We have asked the citizens who’ve met him and they all say the same thing: he is intimidating with a scary face, has green hair, and a scar across one of his eyes. He seems solid, like a real, living human… Except! This samurai’s ghost appears out of nowhere without warning and disappears the exact same way! There one moment, gone the next—only to appear at the other side of the country later the very same day!
We have also approached a few inhabitants of the Flower Capital for opinions and one of their answers stood out among the rest! This man, a toad oil vendor by the name of Usohachi, did not seem scared of the monster in the least! Instead, he had offered us a wild theory: maybe, the ghost is simply hopelessly lost! Wandering out of his grave in search of sake and losing his way so quickly and thoroughly that he is now doomed to wander the regions of our beautiful country with no means to return!
A daring theory that makes you almost pity this wile ghost!
But!
Where lies the truth? And where will this samurai appear next?!
Find the list of all his appearances right here! We have it all, including all the statements we’ve taken!
You don’t want to miss a word of it! So come and take your broadsheet and read all about it!
Now, who wants one?! We have enough to go around!
—————
The monk took a step forward, wordlessly taking one of the flyers before he slowly walked away from the crowds. He followed the main road for a while but then he stepped to the side, disappearing in the shadows of one of the countless narrow, dark alleys.
It was only a long while later, after taking several turns and finding himself in the most secluded place in the entire Flower Capital, that the monk finally stopped—and took off his tengai, revealing the face of a man who had no place in the isolated Land of Wano. A pirate from overseas, a member of the Worst Generation who was dreaded across the entire world.
And this very same man glared at the two flyers in his hands—at Zorojuro the Magistrate Killer and the ghost of the green-haired samurai—and his face twisted in anger. A vein pulsing on his forehead, Trafalgar Law gently leaned his nodachi against the wall next to him before he took a deep breath and gingerly, carefully placed the papers on top of each other, aligning them perfectly—
And ripped them both in half in one smooth movement.
He repeated the process again and again and again until the flyers were barely more than specks of dust.
“I’m going to kill this fucking idiot.”

My Story Begins Here
Rembrandt's New Year 4★ story (2/3) ( 1 - 2 - 3 )
Location: kitchen (night) ; museum exterior (New Year) | Characters: Rembrandt, Renoir, Hokusai, Velazquez, Van Dyck, Millet, Aoi/MC
Tumblr media
Rembrandt: Mmmh! These kurikinton³ are so sweet and delicious. This black one over here is…
Hokusai: They're black beans. They're sweet and tasty too.
Rembrandt: … Mmmh, delicious!
Van Dyck: I've never seen osechi¹ before, but it's so beautiful…!
Millet: I heard that the appearance of the osechi¹ is also important, so I tried various ways to make it look beautiful. I'm glad you were pleased with it.
Velazquez: …
Renoir: Velazquez, what's wrong? You've been staring at Rembrandt for a while now.
Velazquez: No... I was afraid he could choke on this rice cake. With this much elasticity, it would be a big deal, just in case.
Renoir: Aaah… I guess I can't say that it's not a Rembrandt thing… Is it?
Aoi: Rembrandt-san, please be careful!
Rembrandt: I'll be fineee. Chew my food properly…
Wowoaah!? Sorry, I knocked over the zoni²!
Van Dyck: As expected from Rembrandt… It's a very unexpected happening.
Hokusai: Oooh oooooh! You're makin' me laugh from the start of the New Year!
Aoi: M-More importantly, we need to wipe the table!
Renoir: Fufu, it's so lively and fun.
Van Dyck: Aaah, we've come so far so fast since then. They're already packing up the stage and exhibits…
Millet: It's been a while since the event ended.
Velazquez: Besides, seasonal exhibits are not meant to be done for a long period of time. It would be out of season.
Van Dyck: I know without you telling me that! That's how much I liked it!
Renoir: My lady, we could start by cleaning up in front of the museum, right?
Aoi: Yes. After a quick cleanup, let's move on to the next stage.
Rembrandt: Got iiit. Then, let's get started… Wait, now that I think of it, where's Hokusai-san?
Millet: Since we're talking about Hokusai-san, he must be lost again, I think?
Van Dyck: More than that… He didn't go on a strike, did he? I mean, his room is always cleaned by you and the others, doesn't Hokusai seem to hate cleaning?
Aoi: Hmm, I told him about the cleaning, so I don't think he's on a strike, but…
I'm worried, so I'm going to look for him…
Hokusai: Hey hey, who you're lookin' for?
Millet: Ah, Hokusai-san… Wait, what's with that kimono!?
Hokusai: It's still like the event is on-going 'till the cleanup's over, right? We've come all this way, let's enjoy it to the end!
Renoir: I see, it's a very Hokusai thing. Well, then... Maybe I should go change my clothes too?
Van Dyck: It's the last time I get to wear that costume... I'll go get changed too!
Velazquez: Well... If everyone else is going to change, I'll go change too.
Millet: Ah, I'll go change too!
Aoi: O-Okay! What about you, Rembrandt-san?
Rembrandt: … I think I'll go change my clothes too! I'll take the chanceee.
Aoi: Fufu, right. I have other work to do now, so please take care of the rest.
Rembrandt: Yup, leave it to us!

Central Mexico Lures Videogame Industry with Fair
The central Mexican city and state of Queretaro, the headquarters for some of the country’s main industries, on Wednesday kicked off the “Queretaverso,” an event whereby Mexico is hoping to attract the videogame sector and other creative industries.
Mexico represents between $1.5 billion and $2 billion of the Latin American videogame sector’s total estimated value of $7 billion according to the director of Altered Ventures
At Queretaverso, which will run until Aug. 5 at the Queretaro Convention Center, developers, universities, companies, investors and entrepreneurs will all gather to attract an industry that on the global level is valued at some $180 billion.
The director of Altered Ventures emphasized Queretaro has a proven tradition of industry creation, just as came about decades ago with the automotive and aerospace industries, a double feat that could be repeated now in the software sector.
“(The state) has an individual tradition of taking in its hands … the creation of the future, which I think can be something really replicable in other industries. Not only Queretaro, all of Mexico, can become a development region.”
Within the framework of the industry fair, the municipality of Queretaro announced the creation of the “Bloque” Innovation and Creative Technology Center, a public space designed to facilitate access to new technologies, close the digital gap in society and foster technological development.
“This is the moment of the immersive technology industry, the metaverse, in which we must participate (and) position ourselves as one of the most important hubs in Latin America,” said the mayor.
“We want young people to launch (businesses), we want new unicorns to emerge from our country here,” he said.
Meanwhile, Queretaro state Gov. Mauricio Kuri emphasized the importance of helping this industry to take things “to the next level.”
“You have to back technology (and) innovation and not see it as something that can only be done in other countries,” he said.
Among the attendees at the fair were young people such as a software engineering student at the Queretaro Autonomous University and one of those who sees her future in the creative industries.
“(You have to come) to see more or less what you want to specialize in when you get a little older, the working and job opportunities. (In Mexico) we’re already very advanced but I think that we can still move forward a great deal more,” she said.

The Development of Law and Zoro relationship: Wano, ...and Law Is Not Happy About That
<Part I: Before Meeting>> <<Part II: Sabaody Archipelago, The First Meeting>> <<Part III: Punk Hazard: The Alliance (A)__(B)>>  <<Part IV: Dressrosa, The Breaking Point (The Plan Failed)__ (Saving Law)__(Protecting Law)__ (Birdcage, Pica and Doflamingo)__ (Aftermath)>> <<Part V: Zou, The Kindred Spirits (Traveling Together)__(Searching for Nakama)__ (Reunion)__ (Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance)__(The Last Moments before War)>>  Part VI: Wano, Against Emperors (The Untold Journey)__(Luffy & Zoro Means Troubles…)__(…and Law Is Not Happy About That)
The fight between Law and Hawkins was stopped; Law didn’t manage to eliminate the enemy nor prevent information leakage about alliance presence in Wano. He almost was run over by a speeding cart with stolen food (another “crime” against Orochi & Kaido, which Straw Hats committed in his absence). No wonder why Law was so pissed of at Zoro (chapter 918):
Tumblr media
➽ Up to this point, Law never have been so openly angry at Roronoa, nor aggressive toward the other man. Now, Law vented all frustration and anger while Zoro kept silent… and maybe felt some embarrassment(?) about Trafalgar’s unusual outburst, considering bubble speech with three dots and “sweat drop” expressing Zoro’s reaction in a more visible way.
➽ Another interesting detail is how calmly Zoro endured Law’s angry rant. He simply let the other man scream at him, and even tolerated grabbing his kimono and invading his personal space. When it comes to scolding, Zoro reacts differently, depending on the seriousness of the situation and who is scolding him. He either fights back in such situations or doesn’t respond to angry rants and taunts. For example, if Sanji started screaming and pointing his faults, Zoro most likely wouldn’t be so tolerable because those two like to antagonize each other. Seems like Roronoa opted for the calm approach with Law. Maybe Zoro knew that Law was right and his anger was justified. Maybe he simply figured it will be better if Law got all the anger and stress out of him. Or maybe he was just taken by surprise by the sudden outburst?
↪ In all fairness, I think he perfectly knew what Law’s reaction will be, especially considering this ambiguous frame:
Tumblr media
At first it seems like Zoro talked about Kinemon, what honestly would make perfect sense. He already mentioned Kinemon when repeated samurai’s warning to Luffy but couldn’t really say his name in front of just met Kiku. At the same time, he could also talk about Law, because at this point he was familiar enough with the man to predict his angry reaction. Law seems to be prone to stress and he likes planning everything ahead and Zoro not sticking to plan (letting Luffy smash enemy) would definitely earn Law’s ire. Righteous so. Then what was the point of arguing with Trafalgar? Even more, when the man, despite stress and rage, doesn't hold on such emotions for too long. Which really seems like the best way to deal with a pissed off Heart Captain was just let him scream until he cooled down and adapted to the new situation.
➽ Because Zoro did not stop Luffy as he should - as Law hoped he would - Trafalgar was blaming Zoro for the whole situation, even though Luffy was as much guilty, charging into unknown without care for consequences. Zoro not once tried to excuse himself or Luffy, did nothing to stop Law’s outburst nor remind Law he wasn’t his captain (superior) thus he wasn’t obligated to listen. He simply let Law scream and blame him for the mess.
Anime expended this moment by actually giving Zoro a chance to explain to Law why he screwed so badly. Which literally was “I met Luffy” what immediately refocused Trafalgar’s anger from Zoro to solely Luffy:
Tumblr media
This extended scene fits well with already existing Law’s personal experience from Dressrosa - the usually stoic and reliable Zoro will throw away rational thinking in the favor of Luffy’s whim and craziness. Monkey D. Luffy has that kind of effect on Roronoa.
Also, another funny thing anime did with that scene is when Law was scolding his fellow Supernova, Zoro was maintaining eye contact.
Tumblr media
But when he was saying “sorry”, he was clearly looking to his left, instead at Law. Which makes the apology feeling insincere. Zoro wasn’t really that sorry about the mess but he said it, most likely to placate angry (stressed??) Law. Seems like Roronoa is bad at lying; not on Luffy’s level of bad, but still not really into telling lies.
Tumblr media
Law most likely could tell Pirate Hunter wasn’t sorry at all, which explains grabbing Zoro’s kimono and screaming more at the other man’s face.
➽ Zoro’s patience and lack of response makes an interesting contrast to Law’s unusual aggressiveness. We may only wonder if Roronoa already had some experiences with such an outburst from the other Supernova. Once again, there is little to no information how their relationship was affected by the journey and situation in Wano, nor why Zoro was so indifferent while Law’s level of stress so high.
➽ Manga and anime versions of the scene give us valuable informations. One: Law was aware that Zoro promised to not cause trouble, like not fighting with samurais and Kaido’s men. That of course was a rational thing to ask of Zoro, because the man is too bloodthirsty for his own good and is always up for a good fight. The manga translation makes it look like Law personally witnessed Pirate Hunter swearing to not cause any trouble. Yet Law’s screaming sounds a bit confusing. On one hand, he knew Zoro A) became a wanted man and B) was supposed to be in Flower Capital. So it seems Law was informed about Zoro’s mission of pretending to be ronin. Whatever Kinemon initiated him from the start or after the wanted poster was made public, Law understood the danger of drawing the enemy's attention to the alliance. Which may be the reason why he was so mad at Zoro and referred to him by surname or called in his mind an idiot. On another, asking Zoro - a wanted man - why didn’t he stay in capital sounds, well, kinda stupid (and interestingly, the additional symbol of irritation was added to this specific question / bubble). Roronoa killed in broad daylight an important person (magistrate), and either killed or injured the magistrate's samurais, so it is not like Zoro could wander through the capital or any city without causing more problems. Of course, wandering directless did not help the alliance at all but it was still the best outcome. As a wanted man, Zoro could either stay in capitol and draw enemy’s attention to himself - and in result, endanger Franky, Robin and Usopp’s missions and even alliance’s presence in the Wano or wander through the wasteland in which was easier avoid unnecessary troubles and, in case of fight, hide dead bodies without increasing the vigilance of Beast Pirates or Orochi’s samurais. As a wanted man, Roronoa wasn’t really in position to come back to Kinemon because of possible pursuit - though he managed to wander into Kuri region, but that is more lack of direction sense than anything intentional, I guess. Unless this is why Law was the most angry? That Zoro came too close to their main secret base of operation? Anyway, Trafalgar for sure did not hold back and vented all his anger and frustration at still passive Zoro.
Soon, the group made it into Okobore Town and gave the stolen food to starving locals while Luffy brought the fresh water with himself. Straw Hat told the happy people “I’m Luffytaro! If anyone asks, you tell ‘em my name!” (chapter 918). For the first time Luffy also noticed Law - now much calmer than a moment ago. Law made clear, that what Luffy and Zoro did was ultimately an act of rebellion against Wano (Orochi and Kaido) to which Luffy responded he was “repaying the favor” to Tama, who fed him, once again getting into additional trouble just because someone gave him free food. The serious note disappeared right away, when Luffy started screaming at the starving people to not eat all meat without him:
Tumblr media
➽ The meeting between Luffy and Law is drastically different from meeting of Law and Zoro. Like was mentioned, Trafalgar didn’t show any anger or frustration, so either screaming at Zoro calmed him down or he already gave up trying to reason with Monkey D. Luffy. Taking into account all previous adventures from Punk Hazard to Zou, what in universe happened through what? One or two months at best? Law’s resignation makes sense. Luffy wouldn’t care nor bother to apologize for the pulled stunt, while Zoro, well, didn’t care much either, but at least didn’t try to argue back.
➽ Once the serious talk was done and Luffy literally jumped after the meat, Zoro and Law shared the same reaction (visualed by bubble speech with three dots, though the “sweat drop” symbolising embarrassment(?) is only on Zoro’s part). Despite the previous intense moment, both men were again on good terms and even in agreement toward Luffy’s idiotic/childish behaviour.
The next time we see Zoro, Law and Luffy, Trafalgar kept his distance from everyone else. He stood the closest to Luffy yet with back turned to him. Was that sort of ostentatious expression of dissatisfaction or did he keep watch in case of an enemy's attack, hard to tell.
Tumblr media
Luffy loudly declared his intention about Wano to Tama (“By the time we leave this country, it’ll be a place where you can eat as much as you want, every single day!!!”). With a sigh, Zoro noted how because of Luffy’s action, the enemy will come after them for real. Law did not take such a comment from Zoro kindly, because the man ignored(?) his own part in the mess.
Tumblr media
➽ Surprisingly, Law still was angry more at Zoro than Luffy, who was the main culprit. But it may be just Zoro’s uncaring attitude that provokes Law so much.
➽ Despite the still fresh feeling of irritation, Law decided to focus at the best course of action - moving on to safest place. In this case, to the ruins of Oden’s Castle, in which Kinemon and the rest of the alliance stayed in hiding.
The group said goodbye to Tama who was taken to home by Horselina (a former enemy-turned-into-her-loyal-servant thanks to Tama’s devil fruit powers). Like always, Law kept his distance from others (in manga on one frame, he kept close to Zoro, on another, to Luffy). In anime, between sharing food and saying goodbye to Tama, Trafalgar was shown usually close to Zoro, similar like he did on Zou:
Tumblr media
At this point, there is something to ponder a bit about Law and his (lack of) interaction with people. Like in the scene above, does Law keep close to Zoro (or Luffy) because of their bond (trust?) alone or is that partially due to his minimal social skills? As in, he keeps close to people he at least knows and doesn’t make contact with strangers unless it’s necessary. Zoro and Law both have some asocial traits (seen especially in their tendency to isolating themselves from too large group), but in contrast, Zoro and Luffy were shown through the Wano arc to interact and even befriend the local people while Trafalgar was interacting only with his crew, Straw Hats, samurai group (extended of Shinobu person) - the people he already knew for some time. Law isn’t going out his way to meet new people (like Luffy) nor bonds with accidentally met people (like Zoro with Tonoyasu). It seems in Law’s nature to avoid interaction with strangers as much as possible. Which makes me wonder if that comes simply from his introverted nature, general distrust for people or maybe even some social awkwardness created by childhood trauma and growing up in criminal organisation (Donquixote Pirates)? Because Law’s way to interact with people he just met is either ignore them (seen above) or act in cool manners around them, like in Punk Hazard with Straw Hats…  but frankly, Straw Hats freaked him there on so many levels it really makes Law looks like social interaction is not his thing.
This reflection actually comes close to another detail. Namely, Law’s general feeling about Straw Hats helping starved people. Because the locals were truly happy and expresses that just before the departure of Three Supernovas (chapter 919):
Tumblr media
Law has strong opinions about pirates, it seems. And it comes from a man that admitted he doesn't like to kill but yeah, doing nice things for (poor) people makes him sick. Was he so annoyed by the cheering people, or did he simply didn’t know how to react to such situation so he went with a grumpy approach?
Law expressed a lot emotions; the outbursts of anger departs from the image of stoic captain but at the same it makes me think that Law must feel okay around Zoro to be so open about his frustration (and lack of control over situation?). At the same time, Zoro let him take out all anger on him without a word. But the most important thing, no matter how much Zoro’s screwed up, no matter how much Law’s screamed and accused and was unhappy about, it didn’t change their already estabilished relationship. Once the situation calmed down, Law again kept close to Zoro and shared the same opinion about Luffy’s antics and in general they were okay in each company.

Little Bits and Pieces of Heaven
EASY, LOVE
One-shot #: 24
Disclaimer: One Piece (and its characters) belongs to Eiichiro Oda-sensei.
Reminder: I have no beta-reader. Any grammatical and spelling errors are solely mine.
Warning: OOC possible. One shot.
Rating: T
Note: This can be a companion story to Calm Before the Storm. I rarely write one-shots with an ongoing arc timeline but the story’s much better in Wano set-up. I originally tried a different setting but it didn’t work out.
Title is borrowed from the song Easy, Love by Tom West. It has nothing to do with the story plot but when I came across it, I immediately thought it suits this one-shot best.
Summary: Since when did falling for someone been so easy?
Nami silently observed from the upper deck of the Sunny as the samurais of Wano Kuni arrived from their journey from the Ringo region.
If the merrymaking at Kuri beach—where a barbecue celebration (one of the many they had for the last few days)—was already loud and boisterous before… it turned to a total pandemonium once the group dismounted their horses to join the party.
Luffy was hollering from too much excitement; yelling Zoro’s name as he bounded towards the swordsman—who was getting off his own horse—so he could glomp him.
Her lips quirked in amusement. Idiots. Look how happy they both are to see each other.
It’s been days since the green-haired man traveled to the northern region to pay his respects to the samurai Ryuma who gave him Shusui. Few of the red scabbards went with him…
…along with Momo’s sister, Hiyori.
Nami pursed her lips at that. And it immediately turned into a frown when she noticed Zoro assisting the beautiful woman down from her own horse. Even with Luffy still entangled around him, his rubbery arms encircling the taller man’s torso, Zoro was still able to effortlessly lift Hiyori and set her down carefully on the ground.
Hiyori looked absolutely pleased. Her hands lingered on Zoro’s shoulders as Luffy continued cheering right at his ear.
Then Sanji decided to enter the scene to gripe and swear at his rival before taking the now-surprised Hiyori’s hands off Zoro to lead her towards the feasting table in a frenzy of popping hearts, nose bleed and drool.
Nami would’ve blown him some kisses for that. The look Hiyori threw on Zoro’s way didn’t escape her eyes yet the dense man was expectedly was oblivious to it; his attention was completely on his captain as he tried to pry him off his person.
She studied Zoro for a few seconds. He was being unusually nice… if not extra nice to the former oiran. Well… Hiyori was, after all, the reason why he got his hands on a new and more powerful sword.
And apparently, as Brook had gossiped to her and Usopp one drunken evening, it wasn’t just the sword. The musician had caught them in a rather… compromising position when he happened upon them in the hideaway hut back in Ringo.
Her frown deepened. The familiar sensation of something weighing down her chest came back again. Just like that night when she first heard the story.
Her hands twitched involuntarily and she didn’t notice that she was clutching the railing quite hard.
“Nami? Are you alright?”
The navigator whipped her head sharply towards the voice.
Robin was standing a few feet away from her with a questioning look on her face. She just emerge from the library and was holding a book in her hand when she spotted the younger woman so deep in her thoughts as she gaze at party below.
“Sorry,” Nami said in a sheepish tone, feeling weirdly guilty at being caught spacing out. “Got distracted for a second. What was that again Robin?”
The archaeologist smiled as she approached her, not bothering to repeat her question. She peered down below. “Ara, they’re finally back.”
“Yeah…” Nami followed her gaze. “We can now set sail… that is if our captain is finally done with all these feasts.”
Robin giggled. “I doubt that. Now that Zoro’s here, he’ll probably want to celebrate again.”
“Hmmm…” Nami smiled at her. “I don’t know why I bother with that thought when I already know what’s gonna happen.”
“Fufufu… shall we join them?” Robin asked.
Nami brushed back a stray tendril of hair that escaped her pony tail and shook her head. “You go ahead first.”
Robin nodded. She patted Nami’s shoulder lightly before heading down the galley. From the looks of it something was bothering the navigator.
But for now it’s much better to leave Nami to her thoughts. She’ll eventually share whatever was on her mind when she’s ready.
“Oiiii Nami! Namiiiii!” Luffy was shouting from the shore, waving his rubbery arms enthusiastically to get her attention. “Look! Look! Zoro’s finally back!” He started tapping Zoro’s back with enough force to earn a death glare from the surly man as he growled for him to stop.
Nami rolled her eyes at their antics.
Zoro tilted his head to her direction and their eyes met.
They held each other’s gazes. Nami willed her face to remain expressionless as they continued their stare off.
The katana wielder raised an eyebrow at her, wondering why her reception was as cold as the northern region he had just recently came from.
And just like that, Nami tore her gaze away from him and turned on her heel disappearing from his sight.
Zoro was left confused. What just happened? She didn’t even bother to greet him and just stared straight at him like he was someone she didn’t know.
Did he owe her something?
Beside him Luffy stopped his antics and blinked, also baffled by Nami’s odd behavior.
“Ne, Zoro. Did you do something?”
-------------------------
“So did you do something?” Usopp queried, raising both eyebrows as he regarded the swordsman beside him suspiciously.
They were sitting on one of the feasting tables, eating and drinking. The former pirate hunter just told him about what happened earlier.
“I just got back!” Zoro hissed at him, slamming the tankard he was holding down the table. “How can I do something when I’m not even here these past few days?!”
Usopp shrugged. “Maybe you did something before you left.” He suggested, stabbing another slab of meat with his fork and taking a hefty bite from it.
“Like what?!”
The sniper shrugged his shoulders again unable to give an answer. He had long ago learned that Nami’s temperament is as unpredictable as the New World weather. Sunny with a high chance of thunderbolts. No use trying to figure it out.
“Oi Robin,” Zoro then turned towards the older woman who was sitting beside him. He nudged his head towards the Sunny’s direction. “What’s with her?”
Robin shifted her eyes towards the empty upper deck. Nami still hasn’t come down to join them and had probably barricaded herself inside the library. She shook her head apologetically. “I honestly do not know Zoro.”
“What did I do now?” Zoro grouchily asked no one in particular and Robin’s lips quirked up at his predictable reaction.
“Ara… Are you saying you did something?”
“No.” Zoro snarled as he eyed her indignantly. “I didn’t!”
“Maybe she’s just in one of her moods?” Usopp interjected. “You know how she is.”
“She probably is.” Robin agreed. “Best to stay clear for now Zoro.”
Clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth irritably, Zoro reached for a bottle of sake.
They were ok before he left. More than ok to be honest as he recalled their drinking session days before the raid in Onigashima.
So what happened?
-------------------------
The sound of the revelry was beginning to increase in volume indicating that it was starting to shift into full swing as cheers and singing filled the air.
Yet everything was lost on the orange-haired woman who was sitting by herself in the ship’s library. Her pretty brown eyes were fixed intently on the window just behind her mapping desk.
Oh she is in a mood alright. Ever since she realized what the heavy feeling that was settling inside her was.
By Kami, she’s jealous.
Yes indeed, she is.
She tipped her head back and groaned. What a nasty feeling.
And to think this was all because of that moronic, directionless swordsman.
She likes him. That she was sure now. That’s the reason why she was so down when she heard Brook’s story about him and Hiyori. And when he set off to Ringo with said woman in tow, not even bothering to ask if any of the Straw Hats wants to go with them.
And she’s not gonna even touch the scene she witnessed earlier when he assisted her down from her horse like he had been a gentleman all his life.
What else could have possibly happened to them? They’ve spent a lot of time together after all.
Zoro never mentioned anything about her that night she was drinking with him. And it’s not like she should be privy to it. What Zoro do or does is his own business.
She banged a fist on her mapping desk to stop the thoughts and winced when she realized that it was a damn rash action.
But the pain in her hand was nothing like the one wrenching her heart.
She smiled wistfully. And here she honestly thought there was something… between them.
Foolish, foolish thought! She chastised herself. How can she let herself be pulled in that moment with him!
And now… here she is.
Never mind that that was not the first time it happened and she realized it will not be the last.
She bit the insides of her cheeks. Now is not the time for this. She better straighten her thoughts and get a hold of herself. Some of her friends are pretty intuitive, they’d know at a glance that something’s up with her. She’s pretty sure Robin’s brilliant mind has already put two and two together.
Squaring her shoulders, she decided she’d come down to join the merriment after five more minutes.
Taking a deep breath to settle her nerves, she closed her eyes and…
The library door suddenly swung open; the heavy foot falls that followed it gave away who just entered.
Damn it! She’s not ready to face him yet!
She steeled herself when he crossed the room. She heard him grab a chair and set it down just beside her with a ‘thud’.
She didn’t even flinched at the sound. Normally she would be bitching about it. Complaining on how crass he is.
Instead she just kept quiet.
“What is it?” Zoro grunted; a bit peeved that she ignored his presence knowing full well why he was there.
“Nothing,” she answered after a few seconds, still not looking at him.
Zoro made a disapproving sound. He knows something is up. Nami cannot lie to him. He knows her too well.
“Spill.”
She remained quiet. And it was so unnerving to him. Whatever it was, he was getting the idea that it was serious. She was usually upfront with whatever she was thinking.
The silence that hovered between them was intolerable. It was pushing him over the edge.
Then Nami turned her head towards him. A determined look was all over her face.
And her lovely, brown eyes.
“I’m jealous.”
Zoro blanked at that. He heard what she just said—loud and clear.
And yet his mind cannot process what she finally decided to divulge.
He opened his mouth to say something… to blurt out an expletive, a retort.
But nothing came out.
Nami was looking at him intently, watching him. She watched as his usually nonchalant expression cracked, his cool composure completely obliterated by that phrase.
His face slowly colored.
There was no other way than to hit him with the truth. She readied herself for his outburst.
Instead he surprised her by stammering and turning into a deeper shade of red.
A chuckle escaped her.
What an adorable idiot he is.
She riveted her gaze back to the window. This is more than what she expected.
Amusing as it may seem, the heavy feeling from earlier still hadn’t left her.
Beside her Zoro continued spluttering.
That should be enough to keep him at bay. Nami thought amusedly.
She heard him took a deep breath before finally muttering a ‘damn it’.
And he suddenly leaned towards her, reaching out to grasp her hand roughly in his.
It drew her attention back to him.
He was grumbling something under his breath. She couldn’t quite catch what it was because her heart was thumping wildly inside her chest and blood was rushing to her head.
Zoro held her hand in his even as he refused to look at her. His face was so red now that steam would probably come out of his ears in a matter of seconds.
For a moment, Nami honestly thought he would combust.
But he still didn’t release her hand. Instead he held it tighter.
Nami chewed on her lower lip fighting the smile that wanted to grace her lips.
Just like that… everything felt better now.
Drat. She’s so screwed.
Nobody said a word. They remained quiet with their hands linked.
“So…” Nami began, deciding to break the silence. “Is this your way of—”
“Yes.”
“You didn’t evenlet me finished!”
“Just shut up.”
A hush fell between them again.
“So… you’re jealous?”
“Ugh. Shut up Zoro!”

So now that it's a little bit underway, I can talk more about my Herofall game.
The players have been investigating the origins of a massive purple-ish fog covering miles and miles and miles of area, including a whole city.
The fog is incredibly toxic, and causes necrotic damage. The city inside survives because a guy who was a mix of Thomas Edison, JD Rockefeller, and Jeff Bezos (who the changeling party member assumed the identity of to seize all his money and assets) had leased the town a series of filters, which were mounted as torches and lamp posts all over town. The torch variant treats a 30 foot diameter circle of safety, but people don't have reason to go out in the fog because people die there more often than not.
So the party has reason to believe there is a fort out there that is the source of all of this.
After significant research and discovering that there is a coven of hags out there, the players discover that it's the work of this coven and a staff that used to belong to Animus, one of the players.
See, the players were essentially heroes of renown who died during their final confrontation with the BBEG and then were revived 150 years later through as-of-yet unknown magics by a group of desperate adventurers and rebels.
So Animus was a Necromancer. But... He's a druid now. It's a long story, but he met a sort of forest god that gave him a connection to nature and he spent a while in cosmic owlness.
So if they recover the staff, he may not be able to use it.
The party lured one of the hags into a meeting, where they poisoned her, and then fought her. She summoned demons, which confirmed to the players that the demon they had spotted on the road to town was no fluke.
They killed the demons, and cornered her. And one of the players did something wicked smart. She had been in contact with the hag via an iron coin that, when you touch it, can be used to talk to the hag. She held out the coin and begged her to stop.
Something important to know is... This hag's name? It matched the name in a series of journals the party had been finding. At first they thought maybe she'd stolen this poor woman's name..... And then Wizards of the Coast released the Gothic Lineages Unearthed Arcana.
Granny Yarida was once human, but she made a deal with a hag. She wanted to study the staff, and the hag wanted a coven. Yarida was a scholar at heart, and more than that, her exploring party had all been killed. If she refused, she too would die.
So she agreed.
And she became a Hexblood. Surely the hags won't learn how to use the staff, it should be fine.
Except... They did learn how to use it. They created the fog, and they warped Yarida's body and mind until the woman she used to be was no more, and she was one of them.
And this poor young girl of only twenty years held out this coin and called her by name...
Yarida stopped. She turned. For the first time in decades she had a moment of clarity. She understood herself, what had been done to her.
And she understood the rules of a coven of hags.
There must always be three. There must always be three. Two will fight, lose their powers. Four won't be stable. She couldn't add one more, but she could allow our heroes to remove one. She allowed one of the other party members to kill her, breaking the coven.
Three of the party, Kiki the young Sorcerer, Elanor the Paladin of little faith, and Dolos the heartbroken bard, gathered their horses along with one of the adventurers that revived them, a half-orc named Kuri. They fled into the fog, knowing it was a few day's ride.
They had constructed a map, based off Yarida's journals and old topographic maps of the region.
Meanwhile, Animus took the body to his mentor. See, before they left their home base, one of the other rebels had sent off a letter to an old acquaintance (read: ex gf) who was a druid. Animus needed guidance. Animus had met the half elf archdruid, Drusilia. She attempted to guide Animus, but he still thought like a wizard. All arcane formulae and controllex motions, and precise incantations. Drusilia simply felt. It seems she doesn't even realize quite how uncommon it is for her to be so powerful. She takes Animus to a far away place (5th level spell, Transport via Plants) where she reveals a sacred tree. Animus recognizes it, from stories throughout history. It is a guide, a giver of boons. It is aware, and alive, and Drusilia knows none of its history. She argues with it like a contrary roommate. And yet she has dedicated herself to protecting it.
Animus takes the body of Yarida to Drusilia, to the tree, and they prepare. They gather the necessary oils, and the following morning the erect two stone altars. On one, they place the body of Yarida, warped as it was by time and the malicious will of a coven of hags that she was part of in life.
And Animus casts Reincarnate.
A new body forms on the second altar, a mountain dwarf, and shoots awake. She recognizes herself on the other altar, and for a moment is terrified. But Yarida is nothing if not clever, and she puts the pieces together before Animus can even clarify.
And she gives him every piece of information on the hags and their plans she can. The one that warped her is ambitious, she seems to create a threefold coven. Nine hags working together in three cells of three. If three hags could cover many miles in a deadly fog, what could nine do?
But now there are eight. Yarida, no longer in the body so different from how it was before, was freed of the changes she'd been forced to undergo. And so she was glad to help, glad to hopefully undo some of the damage she had wrought. She also tells him that the coven had a deal with demons. Drawn to suffering as they are, the demons would provide protection in exchange for access to raw mortal suffering.
Animus travels back to Planestride and takes the shape of a great eagle. He has one torch, the 4 others have 2.
Along their way, they lose one horse to a band of ghasts, which teaches them that death in the necromantic fog may mean rising in undeath. During their first night, a Glabrezu interrupts their sleep, but they successfully polymorph it into a squirrel and force it back into the fog with Suggestion.
On the second night, they meet Animus. But it turns out this Animus is a hag under a glamour, and she steals one of their torches and sends a Hezrou to attack them.
The next day they meet with the real Animus, who shows them the map but does not tell them of Yarida's fate.
Now, they are attempting a dating heist of the staff, kept in a chamber underneath the ancient ruined fortress that the hags occupy. There are 8 hags, many demons, and other creatures the hags have acquired over time.
Can they slip in and out safely? It's yet to be seen.

Haruhara Question Corners #1-10
Haruhara took questions from 2017 - 2018 on his blog - he’s no longer accepting questions, but they’re still up for people to see for free. There’s 50 question corners in total, each about one question each.
I don’t know if someone’s translated this before, but I couldn’t find anything so I figured I might as well do it. The questions are mostly Senyuu-related, but there’s some questions about Haruhara himself, Gakumon, and Hero Hearts as well.
Without further ado - here are the translations of the first ten question corners below the cut:
Question Corner #1
Q. From À La Carte-san:
Do you have any drinks you’d recommend, or that you drink a lot? Also, what flavour of ice cream do you like best?
A.
I like carbonated drinks, so I drink those a lot. I like carbonated drinks, but I get thirsty if I drink sweet drinks, so I just drink carbonated water.
My favourite flavour of ice cream would be chocolate. I like chocolate. But I don’t really have ice cream that often. I like sour things more nowadays. I like persimmons, I eat them. If I ever went to Sapporo for a signing session, I’d like to buy some famous curry-flavoured snacks.
Q. From My Bank Account Has 800 Yen-san:
I’d like to know more about Alles-san’s family and also about what she was doing before becoming a maid.
A.
I think she was kinda just loitering about before becoming a maid. I explain how she became a maid in Main Quest, but if you asked me what she was doing before that, I’d have to say she was loitering. I tried thinking about it seriously since I never thought about it before, but all I can think of is that she was loitering about, so that’s what I think she was doing.
About her family - she has a little brother… if I recall correctly, I’ve thought, “This woman definitely has a little brother,” in the past, so I think she’s got one. I don’t plan to ever incorporate him in the main story though. Since their dynamic would be too similar to the siblings that appear in Gakumon! I don’t think he’ll ever appear.
What is her little brother doing? Unlike his big sister, he went to a good school, graduated, and is now loitering about.
Question Corner #2
Q. From I Like Rice-san:
Lately, I’ve been getting into sprinkling furikake or nameko mushrooms on my rice - it’s really good! Do you have anything you like putting on your rice?
A.
This one kind of food I was served a signing session was super good. I thought “Ah, it’s good! It’s so good!” all while scarfing it down. What was it called again…? I got it at a lot of signing sessions, but the only thing I remember is “It’s good!” - I can’t recall its proper name… anyways, the point is, it was delicious! Thanks to the people who gave me it!
I fried up some beef tongue and chili oil I was gifted recently and made fried rice. It was delicious!
Q. From My Bank Account Has 800 Yen-san:
What’s Roborabbit (from Gakumon)’s HF (Human Form) like?
A.
Two question corners in a row, My Bank Account Has 800 Yen-san!
Have I never drawn Roborabbit’s human form? No I haven’t, I’ve only ever thought about it. For those of you wondering what a “Human Form” is, please read Gakumon!
She’d be a black-haired girl with straight bangs and a goth lolita look.
Q. From Aoi-san:
Sion-san seems like he’d be really smart, but in reality, did he ever get the chance to go to school when he was young?
A.
He didn’t, no. In that era, I get the feeling that there weren’t many schools. It was kinda like the adults around you would teach you the essentials you needed to survive. Though I think there were schools in more prosperous cities of the era.
He learnt science by helping his father out sometimes, reading books, and studying in prosperous cities of the era. He kinda studied as he drifted from region to region.
Question Corner #3
Q. From Sakekawa-san:
Now that Alba has magic, will he live longer?
A.
He will not, he will die.
Aside from demons who have magic at birth, anyone who has magic will age just like any other human and die.
But if you use your mana well, you might be able to live in a healthy way, letting you live longer.
In that sense, his life expectancy would increase, but if he just lived normally, he’d die normally as well.
[T/N: Haruhara, how did Elf live for 2000+ years then…]
Q. From Kion-san:
There have been concepts like the Alba Manjuu in SQ being made of(?) ribs, and the number of plates of food MQ Ros ate increasing, that your assistants have secretly(?) put in. Have there been other cases where your assistants have put in concepts that made the story more interesting or added more characterization? Alternatively, please tell me about cases where the assistants were actually the ones to think of an idea and draw it.
A.
If we’re talking recently, the flea market scene in the Dododon-sama arc.
Tumblr media
When I saw this, I remembered that “Ah, Senyuu was a fantasy series!”
On a side note, my backgrounds are more like this:
Tumblr media
I’m sure there were other cases where this kind of thing happened, but I can’t recall…
On a side note, those maids in MQ are wearing heavy make-up because I asked my assistants to draw them that way, not because my assistants’ drawing styles were like that.
Question Corner #4
Q. From My Bank Account Has 800 Yen-san:
Does Shushu-chan from Gakumon wear short sleeves all year around? Doesn’t she get cold in the winter?
A.
I was planning to have her wear long sleeves in the winter, but the manga ended… before it hit wintertime… I think Juz would wear shorts even in the winter.
I even thought about making a chapter where she picked up some long sleeves.
In order to be fair, I’ve just been looking at the question contents and not the names of the senders, but My Bank Account Has 800 Yen-san, your overwhelming probability rate of being picked… Everyone! I’m looking for more than just Senyuu questions!
Q. From Nanako-san:
What are Crea’s parents like? Does he remember them?
A.
They’re delightful. Crea does not remember them. When he tries to remember them, he just feels warm inside.
Question Corner #5
Q. From Mt. Hakkaisan-san:
Do you have any animals you’d like to keep as a pet?
A.
I’d like a cat or a dog. According to my life plan, I’ll have one in around ten years. A dog that really acts like a dog or a cat that really acts like a cat would be nice!
Question Corner #6
Q. From I Stubbed My Toe Into the Drawers-san:
How many metres tall can Rchi-chan stretch her body to become?
A.
She’s capable of stretching her body a fair bit, but since she doesn’t have the muscles to support it, if she stretches too much her body can’t support the weight.
If we consider how tall she could stretch and still be useful, she can stretch to about the height of a basket used in a sports day ball-throwing competition.
[T/N: He’s talking about one of these things.]
Question Corner #7
Q. From Tatami-san:
Why is Professor Ain from Hero Hearts a “professor”? In the character summary for Hero Hearts Volume 2, it said that this would be explained “later”, but since it was never revealed, it’s been bothering me.
A.
I wonder why?!
I’ve forgotten! I’ve completely forgotten! I vaguely remember that I thought up something related to Professor Ain’s true identity - which was revealed near the end - but since Hero Hearts was cancelled, I abandoned that plot thread to wrap everything up nicely… I think…?
I think something happened that couldn’t see the light of day. This is what cancellation does.
Question Corner #8
Q. From Rorota-san:
Alba became able to use magic through the Mana Maker inserted into his body, but do Elf and Alf have magic naturally? Also, can Crea use magic since he awoke to magic when he was a child?
A.
In Elf and Alf’s world, since Great Mage Alba popularized the use of magic, they use magic like we use electronics and gas in reality. (Like how in Chapter 4 Episode 0, they have cars and gas stoves.) Just like how we can turn on a fan with the flick of a switch even though we don’t have electricity-manipulating powers, your average person who can’t use magic can similarly turn on a magic-powered fan with the flick of switch.
If you go to a specialized school and study magic, mana will build up within your body.
Tumblr media
* Just an illustration
The more knowledge you have of magic, the more mana builds up within you. After that, it’s just getting used to it.
[T/N: If that’s the case, then why can’t Ros use magic even without a Mana Maker…]
Since Crea’s body was taken as-is from after Rchimedes was using it, I think there’s some mana left behind in it. But since Crea isn’t really a subtle kind of person and he doesn’t like studying, I think he can’t use magic.
Question Corner #9
Q. From Arin-san:
Hello, please tell me Alf Parkinton’s birthday and what food he likes to eat.
A.
Tumblr media
Since I named him “Parkinton” because I wanted to give him a name that sounds like “Pumpkin”, he’s born on October 31st!
His favourite foods are Squash Cake and Mashed Sweet Potatoes with Chestnuts.
He’s the type of person to drink black tea at a coffee shop instead of coffee, while enjoying a squash cake.
[T/N: A squash cake and kuri-kinton (mashed sweet potatoes with chestnuts).]
Question Corner #10
Q. From: Totomaru.-san:
Regarding what SQ Ros-san is called - Crea-san calls Ros-san “Sii-tan”, then introduces himself to Rchi-chan as “Ros’ friend Crea”, but is Ros’ real name in that universe still Sion? Also, are there some circumstances explaining why Ros-san decided to call himself Ros there?
A.
I had Crea call him “Sii-tan” because it felt weird having him call him “Ros”.
I did try thinking back then about why Crea would call him “Sii-tan”, but I eventually decided to not worry about the little details and abandoned the idea without really thinking about it.
Some explanations could be:
1. Ros’ full name is Sion Ros or Ros Sion.
2. It’s a nickname that has nothing to do with his real name - to give an anecdote, I had a friend back in elementary school that we called “Ze”, but this was just because he liked ending his sentences with “-daze!” Originally, his nickname was “Daze”, but somewhere along the line it ended up as just “Ze”. Maybe something like that?
3. For some reason he’s taken up the false name of Ros.
It’s one of these three reasons! The truth is hidden in the darkness!
But since SQ has ended the truth will never be revealed, huh. Well then, I’ll think about it! This is my homework!

        This post is being made so I can link it to my verses page, but ofc it can be read now.  While this post here shows Yuusaku’s fully evolved team, the below list showcases his current team at the beginning of this AU ( aka Yuusaku is heading off to Kalos ).
Sableye ♂️ , aka Ai; level 39
Tumblr media
        Ai was the first Pokemon Yuusaku ever obtained, back when he was around 12-year-olds.  Despite being an Unova native, he has a lot of family in Hoenn’s Dewford Town and would visit the region often.  This is where he met this cheeky Sableye who would not leave him alone.  Yuusaku believed that once he returned home things would turn to normal; however, upon opening his suitcase to unpack, out comes the Sableye!         Unable to return the Pokemon back to his home region, Yuusaku took it upon himself to take care of him. . .even though this Sableye is a real pain in the ass!  Yet with that said, Ai is the most loyal teammate Yuusaku has, and he would never let his partner Pokemon go.
MOVESET: Shadow Claw, Payback, Confuse Ray, Torment ABILITY: Stall NATURE: Naughty HELD ITEM: Cleanse Tag ( the irony )
Umbreon ♀️ , aka Kuri; level 38
Tumblr media
        Upon turning 16, Yuusaku set out to have his Pokemon adventure.  Before leaving his hometown of Castelia City, he visited the garden areas and came across a rare Eevee.  While quite timid, the Eevee immediately found comfort in Yuusaku’s presence; while he never planned on catching her, it wasn’t until he was halfway through the whirling sandstorm of Route 4 when she came tumbling out of his bag.  Clearly he should have noticed the extra weight prior to that, but since Ai was already on his shoulder. . .oh well.         Later on down the line would Kuri evolve into an Umbreon during a nightly stroll through the woods after a battle between some grumpy Duckletts.
MOVESET: Moonlight, Screech, Feint Attack, Confuse Ray ABILITY: Synchronize NATURE: Timid HELD ITEM: Blackglasses
Honchkrow ♂️, aka Bitron; level 38
Tumblr media
        Bitron was a really random encounter, and this was when Yuusaku learned to accept that some Pokemon want to attach themselves to him like Velcro.  West of Nimbasa City and on Route 5, Yuusaku stumbled over a Murkrow with a broken wing, and he spent several weeks in the entertainment city while the Pokemon recovered.  If one was to ask him now of why he remained behind instead of leaving the bird at the Pokemon Center, Yuusaku will brush off the question, unable to admit that he was rather worried about its health.  So really, it’s no wonder as to why she joined the team.         It wasn’t long before Yuusaku realized just how much experience Bitron already had, and her rather diverse move pool confirmed that she had a previous trainer.  Yuusaku found a Dusk Stone sometime later and evolved her into a Honchkrow.
MOVESET: Night Slash, Haze, Aerial Ace, Steel Wing ABILITY: Super Luck NATURE: Lax HELD ITEM: Sharp Beak
Scragg ♂️ y, aka Wicckid; level 35
Tumblr media
        If Yuusaku hadn’t already guessed it by now, Wicckid’s addition to his party showed that he really attracted abandoned or attention-needy Pokemon.  During a trip to the isolated Anville Town, he came to discover that a small gang of Pokemon was terrorizing the citizens; one of those Pokemon was a small Scraggy.  While the mayhem only recently began, not many competent trainers visited the area--so Yuusaku was begged to help take care of the problem.          So he did. . .by defeating all of the Pokemon in a battle.  Yuuskau didn’t stick around long enough to see if his plan was actually effective, but he was already in Nimbasa City when someone politely informed him that a Scraggy was trailing behind him.  He doesn’t even question it at this point but guesses later that Wicckid was impressed by his strength and thus wanted in on the action.
MOVESET: High Jump Kick, Brick Break, Payback, Swagger ABILITY: Moxie NATURE: Adamant HELD ITEM: Black Belt
Pawniard ♂️ , aka Decode; level 37
Tumblr media
        On his way to Opelucid City, Yuusaku ended up butting heads with an arrogant trainer who had been catching and releasing Pokemon at a rapid rate if they weren’t considered “strong” right off the bat.  While he was just going to leave the other guy alone, the trainer got pissed off by Yuusaku’s aloof attitude and challenged him to a battle.  One of the recently caught Pokemon had been a Pawniard, and when he was quickly defeated, the arrogant trainer made a point to discard him after Yuusaku made quick work of his entire team.  The Pawniard was quick to attack himself to Yuusaku’s leg, and he just accepted that this was his fate.
MOVESET: Assurance, Slash, Metal Claw, Feint Attack ABILITY: Defiant NATURE: Lonely HELD ITEM: Evolite
Deino ♀️, aka Firewall; level 21
Tumblr media
        Yuusaku’s final party member and the most normal encounter for all of his Pokemon, Deino was actually obtained through an egg.  While in Opelucid City, Yuusaku came across a pair of Rangers who were looking for trainers to take in some Pokemon eggs that they had found abandoned on Route 10.  They hadn’t been sure what kind of Pokemon would hatched, but their personal survallience showed that there was no mother coming back to the eggs, pressumably because she was captured by a trainer.  Feeling a sense of empathy, Yuusaku accepts one of the eggs, and it later hatched into a Deino.
MOVESET: Roar, Dragon Breath, Headbutt, Bite ABILITY: Hustle NATURE: Impish HELD ITEM: n/a

These are mostly some personal views and experiences, you are welcome to read but don’t hold high expectations. In the last 2 years or so I didn’t watch as much anime as I used to, probably because I don’t find anime as entertaining as before. My interest in sakuga and Japanese animators was the first time I found value in animation itself, regardless of other aspects such as the story. The sheer expressive power of Ohira’s drawings, or Kanada’s unique timing, all brought me joy and still do.
Yet even this joy I find in sakuga won’t last forever, and I can say that rarely does any scene amaze me like my first contact with works from not only legendary animators such as Ohira and Kanada, but even Ebata and Tanaka. I didn’t lose my interest in commercial sakuga that’s for sure, most what I watched lately were obscure shows I wanted to see what X animator or X director did in them. It’s just that I’m looking for something new, and I knowingly didn’t experience basically anything the wide medium of animation has to offer.
I think the majority of anime fans, animation fans in general even, just watch animation because it’s “anime” or maybe “Disney”. If an anime with a somewhat good story and almost still good-drawn images was to be produced, I bet it would gain some following and popularity among non-japanese fans at least. I also bet such a thing already happened. This reminds of a funny phrase I heard from a friend: “people think that animation isn’t important in animation”.
But then, everyone is free to prefer whatever they want in my opinion. I just think that people who have this view don’t see the real merit of animation and its real beauty, to a big extent at least. Works with outstanding stories and fascinating themes such as Ghost in the Shell receive praise mostly due to that aspect only, the story and themes, with maybe mentioning “good and smooth” animation as a side point. But such works exhibit what really makes animation what it is and takes of advantage of the capabilities of this medium, just look at the Hollywood adaptation to compare(regardless of the fundamentally different execution).
Maybe the main approach of commercial animation takes most of the blame here. Ask any random person “what is special about animation?”, and probably the answer would be something along the lines of “unlimited imagination” or “fascinating imaginary worlds”, referring to Disney’s princesses or Ghibli's fantasy. Yet live-action movies are capable of creating such worlds thanks to modern and even kinda old technology(if we ignore the ongoing controversy regarding the definition of these works), while other more realistic animation works such as Satoshi Kon’s show animations’ features and perks, the features that are the reason why he famously prefered to use animation in all his movies despite being more of a live-action director in nature. What I’m trying to say is this: animation isn’t just a container with the sole purpose of conveying a story or a message, nor is the importance solely in the content conveyed, but in the way it’s conveyed. That’s why a lot of people who work in animation refuse the idea of mimicking live-action, for example.
After sakuga my interested shifted towards independent and experimental animation especially the japanese ones, like Koji Nanke and Youji Kuri. The story of independent japanese animators is a long one, better covered here. Watching their works made me realize more and more how diverse animation is, and the different exciting ways to transmit an idea through animation. You may say that everything I said till now was just cretesizing commercial animation and praising independent/experimental animation because I love them, yet I didn’t deny that Ghibli and Disney(2D) movies, which are commercial for sure, are some of the best animation works from a technical and artistic standpoint. What I’m criticizing is the narrow outlook on animation, even among the commercial works. Animation isn’t only hand-drawn or 3D, you have collage and stop-motion and puppets and others. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the former Association of Japanese Animations(AJA) president, the late Kihachiro Kawamoto, never drew anything, he was but an amazing puppet animator. Before Kawamoto was Tezuka, a person who plainly hates commercial mainstream animation and whose experimental works probably outnumber his commercial ones. Kawamoto’s successor, the current president Taku Furukawa, is a renowned independent animator and one of Youji Kuri’s students. Movies such as Isle of Dogs getting a wide positive reception makes me happy.
A famous use of collage was in Madoka Magica’s labyrinths, which Gekidan Inu Curry duo handled. It consists of Shirashi Ayumi(former Gainax) and Anai Yosuke(former defunct studio named Tanto). Their participation in Madoka Magica and many other Shaft shows came probably due to their relation with the director Yukihiro Miyamoto. I went a bit off track, but all this was to say that I enjoy Kihachiro Kawamoto’s collage works especially such as The Trip(1973), although he is better known for his puppet works, that are great nonetheless. This isn’t because I don’t enjoy puppetry, Jiří Trnka amazes me- for example. I bet that his magnum opus, The Hand(1965), would astonish any animation fan not only in its visuals, but in the way it handles and presents its themes as well, which led to banning this movie that obviously opposes the communist occupation of Czech.
Tumblr media
from right to lefr: Madoka Magica, The Trip, Kenju Giga.
Now that I mentioned Czech, it’s one of the richest countries when it comes to animation and animation history. Many other east-european countries as well. Trnka is enough on his own, but even with other animation arts it’s a region that has a rich and old history of experimentation and early works. Tezuka’s inspiration for his short Jumping(1984) came from none other than a hungarian short called The Fly(1980). The animator behind Jumping, Junji Kobayashi, reminds me always of a fun fact about Tezuka. Kobayashi himself has a deep passion for insects and wildlife in general. Alongside being a member of multiple insect societies and organisations, including The Japanese Association for Insects, he wrote a book on how to animate animals based on Mushi/Tezuka Pro's principles. But if there's a bigger insects nerd than him, it's Tezuka, who deliberately added the kanji for insect(虫) in his pen name(same reading to his original name). Tezuka also has some books on insects or animals, in a fictional or realistic depiction. The last book I want to mention, the most interesting probably, is Kobayashi's "Osamu Tezuka That No One Knows - The Mess of Mushi Pro", an interesting title especially when you consider that Kobayashi is one of the oldest Mushi Pro members, having spent about 23 years with Tezuka till his death. Kobayashi joining Mushi Pro in the first place may have been due to Tezuka sharing him his insects passion, as "Mushi" is the same "insect 虫" in Tezuka's pen name after all.
Anyway, what I was trying to say is this: If you are looking for something more than just "brainless fun", try watching different kinds of animation, the world of animation is vast and diverse. Some works that I like(not necessarily a good start for everyone):
Aru Machikado no Monogatari(1962, Mushi Pro)
The first project by Tezuka's Mushi Pro. He tried different styles in this movie, demonstrating his intentions from the beginning. Directed by Eiichi Yamamoto, whose start was in another experimental studio named Otogi Pro, with animators such as Gisaburo Sugii, it is one of the best works the studio produced. It contained a variety of interesting and beautiful styles, even limited animation was used although there is no economical constraint here, what makes me think that it was an experiment before going all limited with Astro Boy later. A great movie overall.
Jumping(1984, Tezuka Pro)
There is a nice interview about this short and experimental works in general with Osamu Tezuka here.
Machikado no Märchen(1984)
The Hand(1965, Jiří Trnka)
Tabi(1973, Kihachiro Kawamoto)
Kenju Giga(1970, Kihachiro Kawamoto)
The Fly(1980, Ferenc Rofusz)

And now, the region that we’ve all been waiting for.  @alphakuriboh suggested this based on anticipated differences between our rankings, and my wife, @avividtale, has Gen 8 as her favorite generation, so I am outnumbered but willing to have this fight.  Tier list here for anyone ready to back me up.
Also, a quick note: I didn’t bother with Gigantamax.  Most of them felt no different from their base forms, and I have exactly no attachment to it as a mechanic, because you never fucking see it unless you bought the DLC to give your own Pokemon that ability.  Like, name one person who has legitimately seen Gigantamax Kingler.  It’s not worth ranking something that I’ve literally never seen outside of this image.
S: Look, there are S-tiers.  I’m not that biased.  Nickit is my precious baby, I love the Hatterene line, Alcremie is adorable, and while @patchun specifically will fight me over this, I love Indeedee.  Look at it!  Little goat butler and maid!  I love them.  Also, Gossifleur is this generation’s Morelull.  It is a crime what they did to it.
A: Eternatus is an Ultra Beast, you cannot convince me otherwise.
B: Rillaboom is the highest ranked final evolution of a starter this gen, and it is not close.  In fact, it probably shouldn’t be this high, but the bar was so low with the other two that I think it just became good by contrast.  I also want to say that, while nowhere near as good as Vivillon, I do love the idea of UFO-themed Psychic/Bug Beetle.  It’s so cool.
C: Man, Rapidash is such a disappointing evolution to Ponyta.  Ponyta is adorable and precious and Rapidash just does not look as good.  Ever.  Also we gotta talk the fossils.  While I don’t love their designs because they look stupid, conceptually they’re hilarious and I kinda love them anyway.
D: The dogs look stupid!  I don’t care, they’re not good, they’re bad box legend designs!  It’s dumb!
E: All of the middle stage starters are bad.  All of them.  Look at you all.  Why are you like this?
F: Okay, this is where Kuri and I come to blows.  I cannot stand Cinderace.  It looks terrible.  It isn’t even a creature, that is a human being in a rabbit fursuit and gym shorts.  This is like the one and only time I pull the “That’s not a Pokemon” card.  And I’m hoping that rankings of the other regions, and this one being a proper bell curve, is at least proof enough it’s not just me dunking on modern designs.  Cinderace actually just looks like shit.  It’s my least favorite design in the entire series, and they absolutely massacred my baby bunny starter.  Though man, Intellion is trying its best to be worse.  That one also just feels like a guy.  A guy with freak-ass hands.  But I don’t know, it’s just incredibly offputting, and not in the cool way.  Toxel is a baby Pokemon and therefore doomed to being disliked, but more importantly why is it in a diaper?  Why did they make this sin against nature?  I hate it.  I hate these three so much.

Education Department, NSSAF reach agreement to revive high school rugby season
High school rugby players in Nova Scotia will be returning to the pitch to finish their season, although the sport's future status remains to be determined.
The decision to resume play following last week's abrupt cancellation of the season over safety concerns came after a meeting Tuesday between Education Department officials and the governing body for high school sports in the province.
In a joint statement, the department and the Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation said they have agreed to let Rugby Nova Scotia manage the rest of the season, including regional and provincial playoffs.
"It means rugby's back on and that our student athletes should be engaged in safe play on rugby fields across the province," Education Minister Zach Churchill, who had called for rugby to be reinstated, said in an interview.
The department said that over the summer it will work with medical experts, the federation and Rugby Nova Scotia -- the sport's governing body in the province -- to review safety concerns. In the meantime, the sport, though unsanctioned by the federation, will be approved for coverage under the province's School Insurance Program.
"I don't anticipate any sports being on the chopping block, but we do want to look at safety standards and evaluate our options on those," said Churchill, who was not at Tuesday's meeting in Truro, N.S.
A high school student whose injury in a rugby game last week was invoked to explain the season's cancellation said Tuesday that he's recovering well and is keen to return to playing.
"I feel that rugby is a good sport and what happened to me, it's an accident that could've happened to anyone, and it could happen in any sport -- every sport has their own risks," said Diego Kuri, whose injury came a day before the federation cancelled the season.
Kuri, a 16-year-old exchange student from Mexico City who attends Sydney Academy, was airlifted to a Halifax hospital last Wednesday after colliding with a player from Glace Bay High School.
"I got hit playing, it was a complete accident," Kuri said in an interview by text. "I was running and the guy hit me in the chin. I fell and hit my head on the turf, and that's when I got injured."
Kuri, who is now back in Sydney with his brother and mother, said he hopes to return to the field once he is cleared to play contact sports.
His injury was mentioned by Stephen MacNeil, chairman of the athletic federation's board of governors, when he explained to reporters on Friday why the season was being cancelled.
Although MacNeil didn't draw a direct link, he said administrators couldn't ignore the Sydney incident, along with the death last May of 18-year-old P.E.I. rugby player Brodie McCarthy, in making their decision.
When asked what should happen with the ban, Kuri gave a cautious answer. "I'm not going to intervene in that decision because it's not my place," he said, "but I feel like rugby helps you to be a better athlete and a better person."
Tuesday's meeting, attended by deputy education minister Cathy Montreuil, was called to iron out differences over rugby's status after Churchill called on administrators Friday to resume the rugby season. Churchill's directive followed a backlash from players, politicians and Rugby Canada.
MacNeil said Tuesday the federation is comfortable letting Rugby Nova Scotia take over management of the sport.
"We're thrilled that they are taking it on," he said. "They expressed a desire to get more involved. We have been working with them on certain initiatives, especially with coaches' education and other things in the past."
MacNeil said the federation is looking forward to discussing the safety of all sports with experts and the government, but he stopped short of saying rugby would be permanently reinstated.
"They can apply to become part of our program and it will all depend what comes out of the safety meetings and what things are put in place to make rugby a safer sport for high school age students," he said.
For his part, Churchill said he doesn't question the federation's intentions.
"We know that they were making a call that they believed was in the best interests of student safety, and all of us should appreciate that," he said.
High school rugby players, coaches, and supporters awaiting results of meeting today between @NSSAFsports and the Department of Education - happening right now. @CTVAtlantic

English 111 final exam
So it’s the end of semester and I had the choice of writing an optional essay, I decided (like the over achiever I am) and I picked probably the hardest topic.
3. Narrative: Describe an event in narrative style that is appropriately titled “disproportionate response”
So... here’s what I wrote (not that anyone was asking) It’s a draft so misspellings, confused narrative and being boring and long to expected:
Disproportionate Response
    The sound of grass rustling and animals conversing had provided a small void of tranquility while the chaotic mind of the female remained with her. Cassie hadn't realized the weight of going back to her parents, within the time she had been gone she had befriended the prince of her region, a grim reaper and a former creature. Her life had been normal up to this point and it wasn’t like she wanted it to change that much, but it had to, with her job as a knight it was important for her to change constantly, for better or worse. In the case it had been for better, but the manner in which it had changed wasn’t entirely her work. Cassie’s eyes remained looking out seeing the familiar field that once before she had trained in, her horse happily walked through as with each step he was now skipping at the familiar feeling on his hooves. Cassie smiled and rubbed his mane,
    “Remember this? We used to stay out here for hours.” She laughed, “We even got in trouble one time when they thought we had went missing.” Her horse made a sound of acknowledgement, then a voice came behind her.
    “I don’t mean to intrude on the memories, but how do you know your horse even knows anything beyond his haystack?” Cassie sat up and grabbed the reins as she responded.
    “Because we practically grew up together, more than I can say for the person who was reborn.” The man had moved to sit next to her.
    “That wasn’t very kind, usually you wait a little bit before you insult me.” Cassie shrugged,
    “Well perhaps if you did not insult my steed I wouldn’t have either.” He chuckled, he then went silent looking over at Cassie. She sighed,
    “If you are worried please don’t be Curil.” He looked forward once more, seeing the empty field caused him to fixate on the blue horizon meeting the larger grass hill.
    “I am more worried about your family, how will they feel after seeing you again for the first time in half your life?”
    “It has not been half my life, only about four years, and who knows? Maybe they’ll detest me and turn me away at the door.” She laughed dryly at that,
    “This is not something to joke about, Cassie, if we are to do this you need to be more aware of what could happen.”
    “I am very aware of what could happen.” Cassie snapped at him, “So I would hope you would understand that I am planning things out as best as possible.” Curil remained looking at her, “Do not bother me with your worries when I have enough on me.”
    “Is it so bad for me to be worried about my love?”
    “When you call me that it is. I do not wish to be called a “love” say my name or make a better name.” Curil smiled a bit happy that he managed to distract her for a moment.
    “Since we are also there, would it be too much for me to ask what you even did?” The third member of their group, Kyo, the crown prince sat in the carriage speaking to them.
    “Well it would be good for you all to know what I did… please do not let you form your opinion of me.” She took a small pause, “I stole my father when I was sixteen.” Another pause, “He’s a collector and has a room in the back of our house that had all the priceless things he had collected over the years, one of which was a sword.”
    “That one you have?” Cassie nods.
    “Stealing from your own family is no sin, if anything they should be happy you have something to protect yourself with.”
    “Well I have no clue how they even felt because when I stole it I had left for training and never even got to see what they thought of me.” Everyone went quiet.
    “So you never knew how they even felt after four years?” Cassie nodded.
    “Well, there is no punishment for stealing a weapon, perhaps your family would just be happy to see you again.”
    “That is if they care.”
    “They will.” Curil stated quickly. “If they do not than your stealing is nothing in God’s eyes.” Cassie looked over to him, seeing that he wasn’t joking made her a bit happy.
    “Still, it will only have been a short time since I’ve been back so we should keep things low to the ground.”
    “I was expecting you to say something like that, don’t worry, my parents never cared for the royal family outside of our finances, we also live near the outskirts so there’s no worry of you being seen.” Kyo made a sound before moving to sit back in the carriage. Curil kicked his feet up and rested back.
    “Be sure to wake me if you get tired.” Cassie nodded and went back to looking out and thinking about what was to come.
                                                          ~~~
    They had arrived to Cassie’s house later that night, still early enough for them to be up, likely they were eating dinner at this point. Though everything was the same as she remembered: the broken gate in the front of their yard and even the flowers Cassie had planted with her mother were perfectly growing in the moonlight. Cassie wasted no time in her memories and knocked on the door with Curil and Kyo behind her, there was no noise and after two minutes she tried again. This time the door opened and Cassie’s eyes met with the eyes of her mother. Cassie spoke first.
    “... Hello, mommy I-I hope we’re not bothering dinner.” Her mother seemed unable to form words as her mouth didn’t move, her hands came up together while her eyes seemed as though she had seen a life sized jewel. Just then her brother came from behind him and upon seeing her he yelled out before grabbing his sister in a large hug.
    “Cassie! You came back… I thought you’d never come back!” Cassie got her breath back before rubbing her brother's back and smiling.
    “Well it’s not like I had much choice Ren.” He pulled back and looked at her.
    “I can’t believe that nothing’s changed… well besides that frown. Are you unhappy to see us?” She shook her head.
    “No, it’s not that, I just… don’t have many words but I have many stories.” He just stared at her before hugging her once more.
    “C-cassie.” She finally heard her mother’s voice. Ren let her speak to her. “Are you really back?” Cassie smiled before walking up and hugging her mother.
    “Yes I am… I’m sorry for leaving without telling any of you. I know you were probably more worried than anyone.” Cassie felt her mother’s hand on her head.
    “You still don’t take care of your hair properly.” Cassie pulled back laughing, her mother’s face now had tear streaks.
    “So you are back.” Cassie’s heart stopped hearing that voice, it was the voice of her father. Looking behind her mother she saw him joining them.
    “I am, father.” She spoke stiffly, her mother turned to him.
    “We’ll let her stay the night honey… and we’ll welcome her guetes as well!” He seemed not to hear his wife before he walked up to Cassie. Cassie looked up with large eyes fearing any words he had for her. As she waited for him to speak suddenly it didn’t matter. She felt an impact of knuckles at her face, the feeling of hitting the ground hard hit her next the a noise of everyone around her as her father stood still in his position.
    “What are you doing harming my daughter!” Her mother yelled.
    “I know you’re angry but she’s my sister! I’m not afraid to do the same!” Ren yelled.
    “Are you alright?” Cassie felt Curil’s hand at her back.
    “Yes I am.”
    “Your father may have already sealed his fate.”
    “It is fine, please don’t do anything.”
    “I didn’t think we reigned over people who harm their youth.” Cassie was going to say something but then her father spoke up.
    “You left, and for four years, had us thinking that you had gone and died. With nothing for us to reason with how do you think we felt?” Her mother answered.
    “Not bad enough to harm her! If she were dead something like this wouldn’t even be possible.” Still he said nothing to his wife and kept looking at Cassie. She got up and stood up to his height.
    “I didn’t expect to come back and be punched, but I guess that’s better than any lecture you could give me.” She paused, “Though are you unaware of your missing sword?” His eyes narrowed.
    “Sword?” Then he looked down seeing the blade at her hip. “You took it?” Cassie was beyond a doubt of why her father hadn't noticed his sword missing with how much care he took into his artifacts.
    “You’re still worried about that?” She looked to Ren, “I knew you took it but I thought they knew they too.” Cassie looked to her brother.
    “Well, that aside, we didn’t care about  anything else you could have done, we just wanted you to come back.” Her mother said sweetly Cassie stared at them all. “We really just worried about you getting hurt.” Cassie didn’t know what to say as she felt horrible and relieved all at the same time. She dropped her head and for the first time she had been able to finally laugh with real heart. Curil waited behind her with Kyo while her family smiled at her laughing. Her father eased her to stand up once more.
    “Just don’t worry us like that again… I’m sorry for hitting you.” Cassie looked at her father and gave him a bright smile.
    “It’s okay, I’m just happy to see that you all still care about me.” Her mother then came up hitting her husband.
    “I can’t believe you did that Kuris! Cassie go inside and put something on your face before that leaves a nasty bruise.”
    “Come on, we have a lot to talk about, and you can introduce us to the prince!”
    “No need to call me that.” Kyo walked in behind them.
    “Hopefully we’ll all be able to get along.” Curil said eyeing her father.
    While Cassie hadn't been to keen on coming home, she hadn't expected to greeted in the way she was. She was happy nonetheless to finally be home.
sweet day paca, regional paca, kuri kuri paca, fresh soda paca ^ w ^
Do you mean sweet kinds paca?💕sweet kids paca: what is your favorite dessert?🍰 I actually answered before… But now I will go more in depth about my favourite cake! My favourite cake is he one I came up with for my last birthday. I came up with the recipe and my papa made it for me! The dough was crispy like cookies and it was filled with nougat buttercream. On top there was marzipan. It tasted like heaven ♥
💕regional japan paca: would you rather live in the city or the country? 🍰 I’d like to live in the suburbs of a big city. It wouldn’t be as busy as in the city itself, but I’d still have access to everything I need in the city itself!
💕kuri kuri paca: describe your hairstyle!🍰 Long (to my waist I think?) brown and fried lol. Most of the time I don’t do anything special, sometimes I braid my bangs or do twintails or a side ponytail… I’d love to dye my hair blue or pastel pink, but it’s already fried and I absolutely don’t want to cut it off!
💕fresh soda paca: do you like eat at restaurants?🍰 Actually yes ^_^! It’s always nice to enjoy food with friends and/or family. Also restaurants provide great oppertunities to try new foods from all over he world~ If only it wasn’t so expensive…
Thanks for asking! Have a nice day ♥~
9 of World’s Most Isolated Places to Holiday Peacefully
Which are the less crowded and most isolated places in the world where one can spend a very quiet a holiday?
Why should people choose to travel to a remote and thinly populated place to spend their vacation? What kind of people would prefer to stay in rarely visited places?
I am a solo traveler and I like to escape to a place where I won’t be able to see a motor car, no loudspeakers, and no plastic wrappers to pack food.
Are you with me?
If so, come on, I will show you several such isolated holiday destinations in the world where you can be yourself and never feel the need to impress anyone.
World’s Most Isolated Places: Hallstatt, Austria
Never heard of Hallstatt before? Well, that’s the exact criteria for an most isolated places and less-crowded place in the world. Hallstatt is a village situated on Lake Hallstatt. The lake itself is located high up in the Salzkammergut mountains. This small and remote Austrian town is occupied by not more than thousand people.
The nearest big city is Salzburg. From there, you need to go to Bad Ischl, a small town. You can take a train to Hallstatt from Bad Ischl. Once you get down, hop on a ferry to reach the Hallstatt village.
  World’s Most Isolated Places: Supai, Arizona
I guess only about 300 people are living in this Grand Canyon town. There are no roads and hence no transportation. Then, how do you go to Supai? Maybe in a mule, I think as I read that the postman rides a mule to deliver the snail mail to this most isolated places.
However, I wonder where a tourist can stay in Supai and what arrangements for food can be made. I would still go to Supai just to suppress my curiosity which is how the 300 odd people spend their time in such a remote place!
World’s Most Isolated Places: Pitcairn Island
I will tell you where the Pitcairn islands is located in a moment. How about this exciting fact? You can only reach this volcanic island by ship and that too, the vessel goes there once in a few months only! So, even if you want to return abruptly, you may have to radio “Mayday Mayday” or stand on a cliff and catch the attention of passing by ships by waving with a white cloth. You may have to travel several weeks in the ship either from French Polynesia or from New Zealand to this one of the world’s most isolated places.
Pitcairn is actually a group of four islands namely:
Pitcairn
Henderson
Ducie
Oeno Islands
All of them are volcanic islands and are located in the South Pacific Ocean and fall under the British Overseas Territory. As of now, less than 100 people are living in most isolated places Pitcairn Islands.
World’s Most Isolated Places: Cape York Peninsula, Australia
That’s the map of Australia and the red colored area denotes our remote holiday destination-Cape York Peninsula. The whole area of wilderness may not attract all kinds of travelers but it does beckon the impulsive nomads.
The remotely located Cape York Peninsula is part of the Far North Queensland, Australia.
Oh, it’s a rugged terrain alright and it seems there are no paved roads but only frequently trodden trails that both the cars and the snakes use.
World’s Most Isolated Places: Koryak Okrug, Siberia
The red colored area in the Russian map points to the Koryak Okrug, located the in the dreaded Siberian region. The whole area is extremely cold, that is home to reindeers and bears. Of course, as many as 35,000 people give company to the animals. Its remoteness fascinates many travelers who simply cannot resist touring remote and most isolated places for a holiday.
World’s Most Isolated Places: Chang Tang, Tibet
The image spells all you want to know about how remote is Chang Tang that is located on the highest part of Tibet and bordering the Ladakh region of India.
The adventure-filled tourists of India brave the harsh weather to travel to Chang Tang, one the most isolated places in the world that are liked travelers who love to stay in a camp pitched on the vast and imposing wilderness.
  Do you realize how big this remote place is? It comprises an area of 334,000 sq.km!  Wow!. Wikipedia says that is bigger than 183 countries! You cannot stay in this wilderness but just you can cross over from India to Tibet through this scary territory.
World’s Most Isolated Places: Mount Roraima, Venezuela
Pakaraima chain of mountains is part of Ayan mountains in the counties of Venezuela, Brazil, and Guyana. Mount Roraima is located in this mountain range. It is visited by travelers who are looking to visit all the remote but beautiful most isolated places on the earth. Mount Roraima has some of the endemic flora in the world.
  World’s Most Isolated Places: Socotra Island, Yemen
Oh, what a beautiful place to get away! The island is home to rare species of plant that are also endemic to Socotra Island, one of the most isolated places in the world.  There are three more islands that are part of Socotra archipelago:
Abd al Kuri
World’s Most Isolated Places: Kerguelen Islands, South Indian Ocean
How do you respond to this name, “Desolation Island”? The Kerguelen Islands get this name because of its remoteness. A whole Kerguelen Plateau is almost submerged here.
Let us see how difficult it is to go this remote and most isolated places. From the well-known vacation place Réunion Island, it about 28 days to reach covering 9000 plus km. On the way, the ship docks at Crozet, Kerguelen, and Amsterdam islands. I think traveling to such a desolate place all alone is not advisable. However, a group of 10 or more like-minded travelers would certainly enjoy a short stay in this remote and most isolated places.
