Shipping Poll (2e)

I had to think about how to do the next poll, after the results rolled in from last week and I could see who won. Sort of. But I made a decision! Following from yesterday's Denethor/Finduilas vs Carmilla/Laura, we've got a slight change:

Korvira narrowly beat Sansa/Daenerys in its poll, but Faramir/Aragorn and Leia/Jyn/Cassian split exactly 50-50 with 120 votes. I thought about casting the deciding vote myself or asking a friend to do it, but it felt fairest to treat them both as winners and include both here. So if you really prefer one of these three, here is your chance to make it count :)

archiving this blog

so confession time: i don't like avatar anymore. it's brought me a lot of happiness and fond memories to look back on but upon rewatching i've realized that i don't really like the series as much as i did. i'm keeping this blog up as an archive but other than that this blog will most likely not be updated anymore, apart from the occasional pretty fanart reblog. i've had this blog since 2016 and it's been fun, but i feel like now is time to somewhat burn that bridge.

AVATAR VILLAINS - Blood//Water

My second edit ever, wanted to try something new, so here it is!

Some stuff to note:

I did this using the free version of CapCut

The music is by grandson, the song is 'Blood//Water'

This edit is about the villains in the avatar franchise, except for Unalaq and Vaatu, because they kind of suck.

Open to constructive criticism, but be nice as I'm only 14, new to editing, and I'm very aware that I messed up the audio as I didn't cut it very precisely as I would have liked.

What is Avatar WTF Weekend?

This event is dedicated to ultra-rare pairings from the Avatar: the Last Airbender universe. While the spirit of the event is around what's known as crack pairings, any pairing with fewer than 10 fics on AO3 is allowed.

When is it?

The third edition of the event will run the last weekend of summer from Friday, August 30th through Sunday, September 1st.

How to participate?

Making content! This can include fics, art, moodboards, playlists, gifs, or any other art medium. If you have a crack pairing you’ve always wanted to show off, now’s your chance!

When you post, be sure to tag the blog or use the hashtag #avatarwtfweekend.

You can also add your works to the AO3 collection, which we will link here.

What pairings count?

Any pairings from anywhere in the Avatar universe - including ATLA, LOK, comics, and novels - with less than 10 tagged fics on AO3 will count for the purpose of the event. But don’t let that deter you from trying to come up with something entirely new!

Are platonic relationships allowed?

For the purpose of the event, we are asking for romantic pairings only (even if the pairing isn’t explicitly dating — they should be romantically interested in each other). Platonic background relationships are allowed.

What about polyships?

Yes! Absolutely. As long as the relationship does not have an existing tag on Ao3, it counts!

Can we have crossovers?

No, submissions cannot be crossovers from other fandoms. Only Avatar universes and characters are allowed. However, you are free to do crossovers within different eras of Avatar. Throw the Krew in with the GAang and see who gets a crush! As long as the pairing meets the rest of the rules, go nuts!

Is NSFW allowed?

Yes, the event will accept M and E rated fics so long as characters are 18+ or aged up, and the works are properly tagged and rated and content shared to Tumblr is placed under a cut with proper tagging.

To share a mature work to the blog, please include the tag #spicywtfweekend.

Prompts

We will be doing prompt submissions and prompt voting! Tune in shortly for prompt submission and voting.

Other Rules

Be kind. No ship-bashing, ship wars, homophobia, transphobia, racism, or any other kind of hate will be tolerated.

NSFW. NSFW content will be allowed in the event so long as all characters are aged up/18+ and is properly tagged and rated, and placed under a cut on Tumblr. No non-con, dub-con, or CNC.

Have fun! This event is meant to be a fun, silly event for people to explore new or extremely rare pairings and maybe push themselves creatively. Enjoy yourself!
