En 1924, Georges Pelletier-Doisy réalise le raid Paris-Tokyo de 19.600 km en 20 étapes. Son Breguet 19 fait un atterrissage d'urgence à Shanghai le 20 mai 1924 sans la possibilité de faire un tour de reconnaissance du terrain et se disloque dans un fossé. Il finira le raid à bord d'un Breguet 14.

“R.A.F. Daylight Raid on Poissy Factory,” Sault Star. April 9, 1942. Page 1. ---- This photo was taken in the course of a low-altitude daylight raid on the Matfard factory, 10 miles northwest of Paris. The raid was carried out on March 9, 1942, by a small formation of Boston light bombers of the RAF bomber command. The Boston is an American-built aircraft and the photograph shows the accuracy of tho attack. This particular factory had been producing 20 trucks a day for the Gorman army and rows of them ready for delivery can be seen drawn up at the back of the factory at left. At least two bombs exploded on those trucks, while smoke from bombs bursting inside the factory drifted over the area.

so im reading The Sun Also Rises for english and im not very far in but i LOVE bret so much, she's exactly the flavour of girl i want to be. the way they describe her styling her hair in a masculine way, wearing the clothes of men she's been leading on and extorting, yet have a very pretty and almost royal/princess look to her actions and features that make her dance between the line of Girl and Girl? and the way she calls herself a "chap" whenever she's talking with jake plus the way she doesn't try to act courteous or proper around men and even openly hangs out with them at late hours drinking and talking about the war while also not putting other girls down and liking her femininity...

#like im a cis girl and all and it took me a few years to figure that out but im very much a GirlTM #but in a lanky skater boy type type of way where you have to glance twice to check if thats a pretty guy with long hair or a tomboy #but like very clearly femininly pretty so then on your third glance you just realise #its a skinny femgirl probably borrowing her friend's/lover's sweater and its too long to see my skirt until i put my arms up #like i wanna be a girl thats femme but not in a pearly pink way in a greys and dirt and mesyy mascara way #like 75% she/her cis girl pretty pretty and 25% 80s slicked back hair smoking a cig he/they #do i make sense fjdslkfjklas;jf #but also wear light glittery and glossy make up and small shiny silk dresses with a bomber jacket very obviously too big for me #swallowing my small frame and clearly belonging to someone else #do i make sense T-T #best way i can simplify it is klepto femme fatale?... #(but i don't want to be an asshole to some poor kids out there nd i dont value/put importantance into my relationship status for it to #be tied to my gender #just a little bit too comfortable with stealing and flirting
