synopsis — you have eyes. prince bang chan is a whole snack. but you also have too high of an ego and can’t seem to accept that prince chan isn’t full of himself unlike the other dozen members of any royal family you’ve met before. alternatively, this is the disney channel movie ‘princess protection program’ but make it porn only.

note — this fic with a wc of 7k+ does not include any spoilers to the movie and you don’t even have to know what the movie is about you’ll get the gist as you read. ngl half of this is from one of my drafts from like 3 years ago and i never continued it so here i am turning it into filth hahahah (and i needed a fresh idea for brat tamer chan and hence why i think the sfw part is better written than the nsfw lmao) rip also pls accept this as the follower milestone gift and 1 year anniversary special :’)

“I’m pretty sure I asked for a puppy for my birthday — which was three months ago may I add — not for a new roommate?”

You look back and forth between Youngjae and the stranger sitting on the couch who is staring back at you with a curious expression. He looks around your age and you admit, his face isn’t the kind of face that makes you thank your parents that genetics did a decent job on you. It’s quite the opposite, actually.

His face is the type of face that makes you ask your parents why genetics didn’t do a better job on yours. Okay, you haven’t reached that stage of visual inferiority yet but that’s mainly because he is dressed in clothes that were trendy in the 15th century or something. The garments clinging to his skin look like a bad fusion of a suit (which college student wears a suit in their free time?) and the ridiculous costume the marching band at your former high school had worn whenever a football game was up. And those weird golden pins clipped on the blazer makes it seem as if he used to be in the marines or comes from a royal bloodline or—

Oh.

“Don’t mind my cousin, your Highness. (y/n)’s humor has always been questionable.” Youngjae sends you a glare before he puts on his sweetest smile — you know, the act he puts on whenever he tries to negotiate a bonus with his boss or woo his date — and opts to ignore your presence. “Anyway, since we are dealing with a more serious issue at hand than originally expected, we need to give you a makeover to—“

Before he gets to finish his sentence, you violently tug him away from the prince and despite Youngjae thrashing around and complaining, you manage to send the guest a forced smile and leave his vision. The moment you let go of Youngjae in the neighboring room, he readjusts his collar. “What? Couldn’t you have waited once I was done? Also, was it necessary to crinkle my collar this much?” he hisses but you get straight to the point.

“What is he doing here?”

“Uh, sitting on the couch?”

“That’s not what I mean.” you grit your teeth and land a punch on his arm. “What is he doing here?”

Youngjae looks over your shoulder, making sure that what he’s about to say next is only heard by you. “Prince Chan is,” he hesitates, unsure how to approach his topic. You know it’s taking up his last nerves to conclude a logical explanation as the tip of his tongue pokes out of the corner of his lips; a habit he has adapted ever since he stopped chewing on his bottom lip. “The predicament he’s in is worse than we expected. Well, his dad is partially at fault because he forgot to tell us this not-so-small critical detail that—“

“Youngjae, you’re rambling.”

“The point is.” he sighs and gives you a distressed look as if he already knows you’re not going to like the information at all. “We can’t send him to the family in Goyang, the place he was originally going to stay in. He’s one of the more extreme cases and the Board agreed that he had to live with one of the active combatants to ensure his safety.”

Silence engulfs the kitchen and you know he’s waiting for you to count two and two together.

“He’s going to live here,” you deadpan eventually and Youngjae nods in confirmation.

“I know you’re not very happy—“

“Not very happy is underwhelming.” You earn a flick against your forehead and yelp in pain as you over the spot he just hit. “Ow! I was just stating the truth!”

“Will you stop interrupting me? Geez. Yes, I know that you’re not happy at all. I know that you’re not a huge fan of the majority of our family working in this business. But please do me this one favor or so help me God— try to be nice to him for the next year.”

“He’s staying for a year?” you shriek and in the blink of an eye, Youngjae clamps your mouth shut.

“Can you keep it down?!” he whisper-yells, then retreats his hand and reverts to a conversational tone with a frown. “It’s just a year, okay? Y’know, just... say hi to him whenever you see him. Act civilized.”

You grimace as he stresses his last words like you didn’t know what human decency was. The longer you keep the petrified expression on your face, the more it turns into a staring contest between the two of you. Just as if you were each other’s reflection, you mimic his actions and vice versa. When Youngjae squints, you squint. When you shoot him a glare, he returns it. It all boils down to the final blink that Youngjae feints and you’re the first to look away.

“Okay fine! I’ll try to behave,” you mumble in defeat.

A satisfied smile makes its way on Youngjae’s lips. “It’s always nice negotiating with you.”

Being born into a family where the majority works for the royalty protection program (short: RPP or as you like to stylize it: argh-pee-pee), also known as the secret service for people with crowns on their heads, comes with many perks. In your eyes, this privilege comes with many, many downsides that aren’t worth the advantages. Sure, there is the one or other occasion where you can waltz around in fancy evening attire and attend an actual ball, but overall, it’s a pain in the ass.

Even though it’s prohibited to openly declare that you work for the RPP, the news always finds its way out. Usually, it takes approximately a week for pretty much half of the neighborhood to find out. And it certainly isn’t nice hearing whispers about your dad being that guy working for the program whenever you step out of your house, which is ultimately why you moved in with your cousin Youngjae. (Housing in your small town wasn’t really affordable for a dirt poor college student after all!)

Youngjae has always been your favorite cousin out of the... whatever number of cousins you have. But here’s the thing. He also works for the RPP.

However, somehow he managed to — and up to this day it still remains a mystery to you how on earth he did that — keep his job a secret. Especially with his tendency to dish out the worst kinds of secrets when he’s slightly tipsy. Frankly, you once considered printing out the image of a trophy for that remarkable feat.

With your dad and cousin both active in that business (because organization sounds too shady), it’s not the first time you meet a prince, so you already know how the entire thing works. The concept is quite simple; they get sent to a household but before they settle in and take on a fake identity until their circumstances have improved, they undergo a makeover. Most of the time, it ends up in the glow up you secretly crave but in Prince Chan’s case, you suppose he can’t get any more attractive.

Oh boy. You’re in for a ride.

You’re busy slicing bell peppers for the meal you were cooking when both your cousin and the prince enter the kitchen and Youngjae explicitly demands you to pay them attention. You don’t react immediately, but the moment he threatens to swipe the knife away from you, you perk up and set your desire to prepare your fried rice aside.

“(y/n), uh, hi? I’m Bang Chan and I’ll be your new housemate for a year. I hope we can get along.” Chan recites his introduction without any mistakes and earns a way too brotherly pat on the back from Youngjae, considering that they just met this morning. It’s truly amazing how fast Youngjae can get people to warm up to him.

Chan is stripped out of his weird clothes and instead, looks like he threw on the next best thing lying around in his room. Nonetheless, despite the seemingly little effort that was put into the outfit, it looks oddly good. The stylists didn’t seem to do much to his hair and just parted his bangs a little, so one could catch a slight glimpse of his forehead. It’s just a small detail, but you find yourself liking his current appearance much more appealing than before, though you’re pretty sure his clothes played a major part in your previous distaste.

“Remember Jihyo?” Youngjae interrupts your train of thought. “She’s Chan’s relative. And because I’m the genuine friend who loves to help her out, I decided to agree to this after she went down on her knees and begged me to let Chan live with us for a while—“

“I’m not interested in your blown up, fictional background stories, thank you very much.” you backtrack. “Wait. Did you say Jihyo? Seriously? Jihyo is his alibi?” Of course, you remember Jihyo. It’s quite difficult to forget her when Youngjae used to swoon about her at every hour of the day, back when they were a thing. Besides, she still stops by every few months.

“C’mon, you have to admit there is a similar vibe between them!”

You furrow your brows and inspect Chan a second time. Your gaze wanders back to Youngjae and then returns to Chan anew. It’s obvious that the latter is feeling as if he were up for auction and you can’t really blame him for feeling so uncomfortable. You’ve heard from a few friends that if looks could kill, you’d have the highest killing record.

There’s no similar vibe in your view, but for the sake of entertaining Youngjae’s thoughts: “He does seem similar to Jihyo.”

“Told ya. But back to more important matters,” Youngjae coughs and wraps his arm around your shoulder to pull you closer, but it somehow seems as if he’s opting to strangle you. “My duties are calling, so I won’t be back until late. You look like you could need some help with cooking, by the way. I’m sure Chan right here is willing to help you!”

“I’m almost done though—“ you choke when he tightens his embrace. By now, his arm is no longer hugging your shoulder, but rather crushing your throat.

“You look like you could need some help,” he repeats, this time with added urgency. “It’d be a great opportunity for you to bond since you’ll also share pretty much all classes at uni. Did you know, he has the same major as you! Besides, it’d be a very useful life experience for him if he helped you with cooking.”

“Of course, how fun!” you hiss, voice going an octave higher from the lack of oxygen. “I already said that I’m painfully delighted about that, so you can let me go now, Youngjae!”

A sneer and a jab in his arm later, Youngjae finally takes his leave. That nasty liar, leaving an hour earlier than his schedule stated. You know that silently cursing at him isn’t going to make your problems dissolve because that’d be a dream come true.

“Listen, let me get things straight.” you sigh, picking up the knife to resume chopping your vegetables. Youngjae may have ordered you to act civilized, but having eye contact with Chan when you’ve been starving for the past hour isn’t your priority. Food doesn’t make itself. “I don’t have any intention of getting close to you and I expect the same from you. Don’t step a foot into my room, don’t talk to me unless absolutely necessary, and don’t think I’ll run around and do your chores or cook your meals like one of your little servants. Just because you’re a prince doesn’t mean you’ll be treated like one under this roof.”

“We live in the 21st century, not the renaissance. Your idea of royal families is very dated.” Chan chuckles dryly.

“Baron Yoon Jeonghan from the seven islands is a stuck-up prick and out of touch with the world. It took him several visits to the slums, multiple voluntary hours at the kindergarten, and stripping him off his bank card to make him see reason,” you deadpan. Fuck Baron Jeonghan. Just thinking about your first and last encounter with that entitled douchebag almost makes you slice your finger instead of the bell pepper. “Duchess Yoo Shiah threw a hissy fit when she found out her clothes weren’t dry cleaned and bought from Zara instead of fucking Dior. The one who takes the cake when it comes to privilege is Princess Kim Min—”

“Everyone knows they are problematic,” Chan interjects. True, he has a point. There’s nobody out there who doesn’t know about Baron Jeonghan or Duchess Shiah but he’s also missing the entire point.

“And guess who gets stuck under the care of the RPP?” you raise a brow at him. He blanches at the realization as if he got struck with lightning. Perhaps you should give him more credit because he seems to own more brain cells than Baron Jeonghan. “Exactly. Everyone problematic.”

Chan’s jaw is clenched as he racks his brain to come up with a smart comeback. The sight of him stumbling on his words is nothing but pitiful, so you turn back to the cutting board and grab an onion to slice in half. “I’m not interested in your sob story, your Highness. I don’t care why you’re under the protection of the RPP. The only thing I care about is that you stay out of my business.”

“Chan is fine. No need for the title,” he sighs with a strain. “Perhaps I should’ve been more considerate with my first comment. Youngjae already told me about your… negative attitude towards the entire setup. It wasn’t my intention to anger you. Sorry.”

Well, that’s new. Out of the dozens of aristocrats you’ve met (and sadly also shared a house with back when you were 16 years old and still living with your dad), he’s the first to drop his title within five minutes for the sake of the disguise and apologize.

“We live under the same roof so we should get along with each other. If there’s something you need help with, just ask me, (y/n).”

“Thanks for the offer,” you reply nonchalantly because act civilized unless you want to suffer from a late-night sneak attack from Youngjae if he finds out. “But no thanks. I don’t need your help.”

You find yourself in need of help a few weeks later, right before the dreaded exam season.

“No. Forget it, Bam. I’m not going out clubbing with you tonight. In fact, I won’t do that anytime soon.” you let out an exasperated sigh as you try to break down to your friend that you prioritize your grades over his need of getting wasted.

“C’mon!” he whines so loudly that you have to put your phone farther away from your ear. “You’re not in that much stress yet! You have to make the most out of it before you drown in your exams.”

“Things are different for engineering students like, uh, me for example!” you hiss. “I fell behind and need to catch up. Ask Yugyeom or Changbin.”

“First of all, Yugyeom is always at the bar doing his job. And Changbin never picks up his phone. There’s nobody who’d dance with me!”

“You abandoned me at the bar for some chick the last time,” you deadpan. “I’m very sure you’ll find someone.”

Bambam finally gets the gist and gives up. “Fine then. Your loss. Have fun dying in numbers and variables instead of living in the moment. You’re going to regret it—”

You end the call and set your phone on mute before throwing it on the bed. Sometimes you wonder whether you were on drugs when you decided to major in engineering. The longer you stare at the jumble of numbers and letters — some of them in Greek too — the more you think your brain cells are decaying.

That’s how you find yourself in the kitchen, complaining at Youngjae’s expense and telling him how much you’d rather drown in bleach than subjecting yourself to Algebra II.

“You know there’s someone you can ask for help and he’s right here,” Youngjae drawls before chugging down the rest of his beer. If he’s going to be a victim to your temper tantrum about a major that you chose yourself, he might as well get a drink so he won’t go insane from your monologue about numbers and graphs and formulas he’s forgotten since he graduated from high school.

You gawk at him. “You? Are you hearing yourself? You almost failed maths. Twice!”

“Because I didn’t mean myself, dipshit,” he says blankly and his eyes flit over your shoulder, “Speaking of the devil. There comes the man of honor.”

You whip your head back to the door to see Chan enter confusedly. “Uh, did I interrupt something?”

“Yes.”

“No, we were just talking about you!”

You send Youngjae a death glare which he casually shrugs off. “(y/n) here is bitching about her Statistics I class and needs a tutor!”

“It’s actually Algebra II if you bothered to pay attention—”

“(y/n) needs a tutor!” Youngjae exclaims and nearly trips on his feet when he gets up from his chair. “Channie, I heard you’re good with numbers. Didn’t you get accepted into all Ivy Leagues in the States for all engineering programs?”

“You didn’t have to word it like that,” Chan laughs it off and nervously rubs the back of his head. He’s not denying it though.

“Obviously he would. He’s loaded and lives in a castle,” you mutter under your breath, but everyone catches it.

“Hey,” Youngjae warns. “That wasn’t necessary.”

“It’s alright,” Chan says casually. “I just wanted to get myself a snack. But if you have some questions, don’t hesitate to knock on my door. The offer still stands, y’know.” He digs through the cabinet until he finds two packs of the strawberry flavored Pocky knockoff that is 1) apparently his favorite thing to eat and 2) half the price of the Pocky version. He gives Youngjae a thumbs up before he returns to his room.

The moment Chan is out of sight, Youngjae whips his head to you, nostrils flaring. All that’s missing is steam coming out of his ears and his face running red and then he looks like the impetuous brother in every kids cartoon ever. “Really? He’s been staying with us for how long now? Four weeks? Five? Yet you’re still acting as if he murdered you in your dreams or something.”

“I don’t like him,” you state coldly. Youngjae looks like he’s about to rip his hair out.

“Look, I get that you don’t like me being active in this field of work, and I get that you have some hatred against the royal families. But you know you signed up for this when you decided to move in with me.” Youngjae pauses to get a breather and pop a new beer bottle open. “Besides, Chan isn’t like Baron Jeonghan or Duchess Shiah. I have eyes, (y/n), and I’ve seen you two avoiding each other as much as possible. And he doesn’t just laze around — he does the fucking chores and cooks dinner too! Chan is good, (y/n).”

The last words make you snap. “Good? Are you fucking serious? Because that’s why the press in his kingdom is depicting him as a tyrant who cares more about building his sick harem instead of helping the poor. And wasn’t he diagnosed for having anger management issues?!”

All the color leaves Youngjae’s face. This is obviously something you shouldn’t know. While he’s scrambling for words, you take the chance to add, “Dunno why you’re protecting him when he’s making headlines as a prince who can’t keep his dick in his pants.”

“Chan isn’t just a prince,” Youngjae says quietly. “He’s the crown prince.”

Your eyes widen at the confession. “What? Isn’t that even worse with that reputation he has?”

“It’s all propaganda,” he sighs and takes a swig, “The ministers are doing everything they can to finish him off. You see, Chan is the only child of the current king of the seven islands, and if he’s wiped out, it’ll be utter chaos. Chan’s smart and I admit, he used to have anger issues, but he’s worked on them. Though I guess he’s resorted to bottling up his feelings when push comes to pull. The point is, all the higher-ups don’t want him as their future king because they know that Chan is very much capable of pulling through with his own ideas and that doesn’t sit well with them. And a supposedly impulsive future king is the last thing anyone wants, hence why his people are eating up the news.”

“Oh.” you’d be lying if you said you didn’t feel an ounce of remorse. However, it’s not the first time you’ve heard such stories.

“Yeah. Oh,” Youngjae mocks, “If that’s the main reason why you don’t want to talk to him, now you know better. He might have power, but he’s not a monster. And for the record, he got into all Ivy Leagues and elite schools all over the world through his intelligence, not his status.”

Although you can see it in his eyes that Youngjae is done with the heated discussion, he’s still waiting for you to say something. You frown. “So… you think he’s a good tutor?”

“He’s your only shot.” Youngjae says nonchalantly, then adds with a warning tone, “But remember: Act. Civilized. Oh, and don’t tell him I told you about his circumstances. It’s supposed to be confidential information.”

You roll your eyes. How the fuck hasn’t Youngjae been busted yet?

Nonetheless, you’re trudging to Chan’s door a few minutes later, your fat binder of incomprehensible math formulas and (Greek) letter heavy in your arm. Chan opens the door with surprise etched on his face after you knocked, but it settles to warmth when you begrudgingly ask him to help you understand Algebra II.

“Sorry, it’s a little messy here,” he chuckles airily once he lets you in. It’s not messy per se, just a few clothes piled up in a corner of the room and some books and messily written notes lying on his bed. Still, it’s by far cleaner than the pig stall that is Youngjae’s room (and yours when you’re having a very bad day).

Chan clears his desk and drags his other chair to the table before plopping down on it. “So, what’s the problem?” Instead of answering, you just shove a sheet of paper up his face. “Y’know, you can talk to me. If this is about earlier, it’s really alright. I’m not mad or anything,” he says with the same friendly tone you’ve been hearing ever since he moved in, yet he still takes the sheet from you. You watch his brows scrunch together the more he reads on, and you can already see the question forming in his mind.

“(y/n), you do know this is the basis to understand—”

“I was absent when the professor covered it and everyone I asked couldn’t quite explain it to me,” you respond before he can finish speaking out his thoughts. “All my friends were like—” you gesture with your hands, “—you just do this and that and then hope your hunch is right. Before you say it, yes I know that I don’t get the material of one entire unit and the exam is two weeks away.”

“Then let’s not waste any time,” Chan says before grabbing his iPad. You stare at him blankly as he writes something on his tablet. The last thing you expected from him was to accept it and try to hammer as much of missing information as he can into your brain, but then again, you’ve never seen him backtrack whenever Youngjae asks him something. Speaking of Youngjae, perhaps he is right. Chan does seem to know what he’s talking about.

“You have to subtract X first, then replace it with Y,” he explains as he circles said letters in different colors. By now, you’ve leaned closer to him to get a better view on what he’s writing (his handwriting isn’t the worst you’ve ever had to decode; refer to Youngjae who you’ve internally awarded with the worst handwriting of the decade).

Chan is exceptionally good at explaining. You feel like you’ve figured out a secret of the world that not even Pythagoras found out as you slowly understand what on Earth you are supposed to calculate with the formula. Chan is patient, always asking if you got it or if you needed another clarification, and takes the time to draw colorful graphs to visualize the jumble of numbers. His voice is pleasing to the ear too, soft and gentle to the point where you’ve blurred everything out except Chan. Chan’s voice. Chan’s hand.

You didn’t mean to stare, but with him always adding something new every five seconds as he goes on with his monologue, you can’t help but do so. His fingers aren’t long — that’ll always be courtesy of Hyunjin from Subway and yes, his very pretty hands might be the sole reason you only insist on going to that one specific Subway at the intersection next to KFC — but just one glance at Chan’s hand and you know that he’s strong.

He’s barely applying pressure to the pen, but you can see the veins slightly protruding. Chan’s sleeves are pushed back and if you move your head a bit, you’re more than certain that veins are bulging out from his forearms too. However, you don’t muster up the courage to do that because Chan will definitely notice and the last thing you want on your platter is to tell him that you were too busy checking out his arms instead of listening to him talk about Algebra II.

Eventually, Chan sets the pen down to stretch his hand. He says something, but you don’t pick up what exactly. Not that it’d matter much anyway since you’re too busy admiring his hand—

“(y/n), you there? I called out your name several times but you didn’t react.” Chan’s breath hitches and surprise flashes in his eyes for a split second when his gaze meets yours. You don’t understand his hesitation, but then horror bubbles in you once you realize that his hand is firmly gripping your chin and keeping your head pointed at his direction. The very same hand you’ve been staring at for God knows how long.

“I’m good. Just a little tired, but I’m good,” you stutter, though it comes out very breathlessly as if you just finished a marathon.

“Tired?” Chan echoes, concern settling into his features. “You should’ve said so, then I would’ve stopped talking. You need something?”

Now that you think about it, you’ve never got a close look at Chan. Sure, he’s handsome, the countless pictures of Google prove that he’s also too photogenic for his own good (goddamnit, why didn’t your parents make you just as photogenic?) but in person, he’s something else. His lips are plush and look very inviting to kiss, and the lower your eyes wander, the more you see a toned chest hidden underneath that damn shit that hugs him in all the right places.

Fine, his hands aren’t the only attractive thing about him. Then again, he’s a prince.

“I said I’m good.” you snap out of your thoughts and finally gather enough control over your nerves to tear his hand away. “And I caught everything you said.” Of course, you know that’s a blatant lie and he knows so too from the way he’s looking at you. That is until he quirks a brow.

“Okay, then what did I say before I called you?”

Your mouth feels dry. It’s almost as if he��knew the reason for your distress. “I caught everything relevant to this,” you mutter, suddenly finding his curtains much more interesting. What an interesting design, maybe you should get yourself new curtains too—

“Then you wouldn’t mind solving these questions, right? Just so I can make sure that you got everything down.”

“Sure,” you reply because that’s the only thing you could say without hurting your ego and straining your vocal cords. Chan doesn’t comment any further and looks for some practice questions before sliding the iPad to you. Already the first question makes your head spin in disdain. Numbers? Variables? Never heard of them.

Chan is watching you like a hawk as you fiddle with the pen, unable to write down anything that makes remote sense. Feeling his eyes on you makes you feel helpless and you shift around in your seat. “What are you staring at?” you glare at him once you give up for good, and you just hope that your look is as intimidating as you pictured in your head.

“You’re definitely exhausted. You’re shaking,” Chan points out. Your eyes widen as you stare down and realize that your thighs are shaking, and it’s then and there when you realize that you’re feeling hot. Seems like Chan doesn’t realize that because the worry written on his face is genuine. “You say the exam’s in two weeks right? We can stop for today and work on this tomorrow. That is if you still want my help.”

You nod and add in a tiny voice, “Yes, please.”

You’re too busy ignoring the heat building between your thighs to notice the borderline feral sound that leaves Chan.

“And here I thought you had quality bonding time.” Youngjae gives a disappointed look. “You’re acting even colder towards him than before your exam meltdown. Your prick level can only stoop down so low.”

You ended up getting tutor lessons from Chan every day before the dreaded day of judgment: the exam in Algebra II. You spent more hours in his room than on your own if you were completely honest, and the results were fruitful. While you did manage to pass the exam with a fairly high score, the price you had to pay was hell.

It’s almost as if Chan caught up on your hand fixation. Sometimes he twirled the pen in his fingers, sometimes it was the simple bracelet dangling on his wrist. Just when you thought he had you figured out, he asks you if you’re alright, visibly oblivious to his effect on you. Such duality in a person should be illegal, you conclude. If you die from whiplash, you know who the perpetrator is.

“You were the one who pretty much pressured me into asking him for help,” you drawl.

“I had good intentions only! You can’t keep up the I-hate-royal-families-blah-blah mentality the entire time!” Youngjae wails before stuffing a handful of chips in his mouth.

“Watch me.” You internally cringe at the loud crunching sounds he’s making and add vigorously, “And stop chewing so loudly.”

“You’ll get around or so help me God—” he groans when his phone buzzes. He doesn’t spare a glance at the caller ID because there’s only one person who has set his ringtone to the baby shark song specifically for when he’s calling. “I gotta go, Jinyoung’s being a bitch again. Don’t murder somebody. Thanks.” You only watch him shuffle for his bag and grab a handful of chips before he’s out the door. Groaning, you clean up the mess he’s made on the table.

Just as you’re done wiping the crumbs off the surface, Chan pads into the room.

“Hey, can we talk?”

“I established right at the beginning that you should only talk to me when absolutely necessary.” you scowl, trying to walk past him.

“Well, this is important,” he urges and blocks the doorway, effectively stopping you from fleeing. “And I do deserve one conversation with you after I helped you out.”

“You offered on your own. That’s not the same as asking for a favor.” You successfully push your way past him, but in the next moment, he spins you around and pins you against the wall.

“We’re going to talk, whether you like it or not.” The sudden coldness of his tone has shivers running down your spine. Chan holds your wrist in an iron grip and if he clutched on any tighter, you wouldn’t put it past him to break your bones. Out of options, you comply and give him a curt nod before he lets go and takes a step back.

“I don’t understand you, (y/n). I genuinely thought you would put your prejudices aside but instead, all I get are mixed signals from you.”

It’s your turn to gawk. “Me? Mixed signals? What are you talking about?”

“I’m talking about how you keep looking at me as if you want me to fuck your brains out.” If the color hasn’t drained from your face yet, it has now. Chan smiles wickedly at your horrified reaction but doesn’t stop there. “I’m talking about how you talk like you don’t want anything to do with me but act as if you’re begging for my attention.” He takes a step closer to you, and you wish you could morph with the wall. “I’m talking about how you keep staring at my hands and think I don’t notice it.” You wince when he rests his hands against the wall on each side of your face, leaning closer so that you can feel his breath on your lips. “So, you have a thing for my hands?” Bullseye.

“You’re so full of yourself. No wonder your ministers want to get rid of you,” you snap because you’d rather suffer from food poisoning than admitting that you want Chan’s fingers in you.

Something shifts within Chan. He gapes at you, clearly not expecting you to even know about the ministers. His demeanor darkens in a blink of an eye, and you feel like your legs are about to give up on you when you meet his eyes, black and feral.

“You’re playing with fire. Don’t anger me,” he warns, voice low and rough.

“So it’s true that you resorted to bottling up your feelings, your Highness?” you cock your head to the side. Chan clenches his jaw at the mention of his title, struggling to keep his anger in check. You laugh through your nose, then grab one of his hands and force it away from the wall. If he already knows that you’re thirsting after him, might as well go for it. “It’s funny how your ministers aren’t able to string you around like a puppet yet here you are, unable to do anything against a commoner. You know you have nice hands and you know my weakness and yet, you’re not using them on me.” He gulps when you fumble with his fingers.

And then he understands.

“Unless I misread the situation,” he says darkly, though you distinguish the slight tremor his voice carries. “Do you really want this? I’m not going to go easy on you.” Chan is dead serious, judging by the way he’s looking at you expectantly.

“The safe word is petunia.” You don’t take your eyes off him and add in a louder tone, “Now try me, do your worst.”

“You’re going to regret wanting me at my worst,” Chan growls and before you know it, he crashes his lips against yours. The kiss is anything but sweet, more of a clash of teeth and tongues and saliva dribbling down your chins, yet it leaves you boiling hot and wobbly on your feet. He presses you up against the wall and forces his leg between yours, the sudden contact making you hunch forward. You moan against his mouth when he tugs harshly on your hair, the sting making your nerves go haywire. In the meantime, your hands roam his upper body, blunt nails digging into his shoulders as you try to buck your hips against his leg. While he doesn’t budge, you manage to elicit a groan out of him.

When you pull away, you’re both gasping for air. Chan’s hair is disheveled from the way you’ve been pulling on them, lips pink and glossy. One look in his eyes is enough to make your heart stop beating. They’re dark and animalistic and set ablaze with unfiltered lust. You’re such in a daze from a simple kiss that you nearly stumble when Chan drags you to his room.

He manhandles you on his bed with ease before his lips latch on yours once more. You nearly sob when he rids you off your pants, putting pressure in all the right places to have you losing your mind. As you’re about to gain back some dominance in the kiss, he breaks it off. His fingers that were once ghosting over your underwear are now tracing patterns all over the material, making you spasm. “You’re such a brat, all bark but no bite. All it takes is one kiss and you’ve lost all your fight. Can you get any more pathetic?” he mocks as he focuses his fingertips directly on the wet patch of your underwear. Your eyes roll back as he rubs on the same spot, the broken moans leaving you eerily similar to cries. “Don’t tell me you’re about to come like this. How sensitive are you?”

“Am n-not—” you cut yourself off with a whimper when he lets the waistband snap against your skin.

“Yeah, you sure about that?” he grins and that’s when you break, feeling your high approaching at lightning speed.

“But I thought you’re not sensitive?” the satisfied grin just widens with every syllable that leaves his lips. “If you don’t want to come like this, all over your underwear, beg.”

Chan applies even more force to your sensitive spots, and you struggle to have a clear thought. The smirk he delivers is lethal, and you couldn’t be any more convinced that he’s the devil’s incarnate.

“I’ll do anything, please. Don’t let me come like this, that’s all I’m a-aah-asking for,” you weep, your blood nearly boiling at its climax, “I’ll even take a punishment!”

“Say my name,” he orders, fingers still drawing circles.

“Your—”

“My name, not my title.”

Your breath hitches as you finally realize what he’s aiming for. He wants you to remember that it’s him who’s reducing you into this illiterate mess. Him, the one you’ve been despising since before you even met. If you still had any ounce of dignity left, you’d try to fix the power imbalance until you’re left with no choice but to obey, but now you’re so close and the last thing you want to do is come with your pants on.

“Please, Chan,” your voice breaks towards the end and in an instant, he pulls away. As you’re letting you’re basking in the break from his brutal tempo, not too affected by how your upcoming orgasm is fading away, Chan observes you.

And then out of nowhere, he flips you on your stomach and delivers a hard smack to your ass that has you screaming into the pillows.

“You said you’d take any punishment too, right?” You twitch as he rubs the small of your back. You can already imagine the handprints on your ass he continued to slap you with such force that has you moving up the bed. The pain that’s going to haunt you for days. With that, he drops himself on his chair, spreading his legs that you can see the prominent tent forming in his pants. He orders you over with a flick of his finger, and just as you get up from the bed, a new wave of horror flushes over you.

The look you send him is priceless. There’s no fucking way you can do it. It’s just a few meters, nothing you can’t handle, but he’s there sitting on his Ikea swivel chair as if it’s his throne made of gold, watching your every movement like a predator. And then there’s you, only in a shirt and underwear, being forced to go on all fours as if you were his fucking dog—

The difference in power display couldn’t get any more visible. He really is the fucking worst.

“You’d really do anything, huh…” he muses as you drop on your hands and knees and crawl to him, never looking up. It’s only when he beckons you to stand up that you look at him with nothing but rage and shame in your eyes. Chan has always been slightly terrified with your death stare but right now, he can’t take it seriously and it shows. It shows in the way he smiles lopsidedly, in the way his brows quirk in amusement. “Now hump my leg.”

Humiliation runs through your body all over. Your fists are clenched as he waits for you to act, even pats his thigh in case you didn’t get the memo. But oh you do, and his thigh does look inviting.

“Hump my leg like the brainless bitch you are. If you want my hands or my cock, you earn it first. Especially since you treated me like shit ever since I moved in.” The last sentence burns you badly because he has a point. But then there’s the prospect of his hands and dick that’s bulging out of his pants.

Pushing all thoughts away, you settle on his leg. Taking a moment to gather yourself, you tell yourself it’s all good and then you move. The first thrust knocks all air out of your lungs and you grab onto his shoulders for support. You didn’t even move that much, but Chan’s looking at you as if he’s about to fucking devour you and knowing that he is very much capable of moving you around, you’re starting to become overwhelmed.

Eventually, you lose yourself in the feeling of his rough jeans against your drenched underwear, humping on his thigh as your orgasm builds up. It’s silent, save for your pants, and the countless whimpers flying past your lips as your movements gradually become sloppier. You’re almost there and you know it. But so does Chan, and the moment he’s got it figured out, he lunges from your hips and forces you to pick up the pace.

There was a sliver of dull sunlight shining right across Nile’s forehead as she came to consciousness on the morning of her twenty-sixth birthday. Or at least it should have been her twenty-sixth birthday. She wasn’t quite sure on the details.

Did she even still count her birthday the same now? Was she twenty-six? Or perhaps only one? No- No. That sounded ridiculous. So maybe just the first anniversary of her twenty-fifth birthday?

Nile opened her eyes and stared up at the ceiling. It was a rather unremarkable ceiling, painted a faded a pale green. It was discolored brown from water damage in a few spots.

She had been to this safe house once before. Two months ago after a particularly rough mission the five of them had limped in, blood soaked and exhausted. Luckily this time they had only been exhausted.

This was the first time she had been to a safe house twice. It was strange how much it felt like home after only having been there once for a week. But after seven months of new place after new place she felt a welcome familiarity with this crumbling cottage, small though it was.

She had known what bed was to be hers. No dragging of an old mattress from another room. No reshuffling of sleeping arrangements to accommodate for her. No Andy or Booker taking a couch or armchair. No Joe and Nicky sleeping on the floor because they both couldn’t fit on the couch.

Booker made a low pained noise in his sleep. And Nile’s thoughts were brought back to the present.

Booker was in a bed perpendicular to hers, their head’s only a couple feet apart.

She glanced up at him, he appeared to still be asleep, his arm slung over his eyes.

Nile craned her neck to see Andy still asleep in the bed next to the door. Her immortality was gone but she still insisted on sleeping closest to the door. The first line of defense.

Joe and Nicky were directly across from her, huddled facing her in a bed that seemed too small for the two of them.

How old were each of them again? 953, and 950. Booker was 247...or was it 248?, And she couldn’t even guess at Andy’s age.

Would that happen to her? Her years becoming so numerous that she couldn’t remember the year she was born?

The sun had moved enough to shine irritatingly in her eyes, Nile brought her hand up to shield them. But after a minute or so, when her arm grew tired, she flipped onto her stomach. Her frustration got the better of her and she sighed loudly.

Too loudly, apparently, as Nicky started awake and sat bolt upright in the bed across from hers. Joe too started, and sleepily said something to Nicky in Italian that Nile couldn’t quite make out. Nicky glanced around the room and made eye contact with Nile.

“Sorry.” Nile whispered.

Nicky gave her a sleepy smile and turned over to face Joe, responding to him in Italian as well, but this time she heard her name and the word for sleep.

Andy and Booker hadn’t even moved. Both of their breathing was as even as Joe’s was slowly becoming once more.

Nicky was obviously awake still, propped up on his elbow facing Joe. His other hand stroked Joe’s hip soothingly.

A minute or so passed where Nile turned the problem of her birthday over in her mind, before she gave up trying to fall back asleep. She got out of bed with a frustrated sigh, and exited the bedroom.

The rest of the cottage consisted of a bathroom and a small main room full of mismatched furniture and with what one might consider a kitchenette.

Nile plugged in and turned on a hotplate and filled a kettle with water. She opened the pantry and was surprised to find a half used package of instant coffee. It took her a moment to realize that it was hers, left here from the previous stay in October.

She couldn’t help but smile to herself. Silly as it sounded, it was nice to find something she knew she had left behind for herself.

She glanced around the room, the little touches of each member of her new family were evident. Various swords hung on the wall above the small dining table. She was sure they were all sharp and battle ready. There was a single bookshelf that was full to bursting, with piles of books on the ground all around it.

Despite the cottage’s pathetic excuse for a kitchen there were nice pots and pans and a stand alone pantry pushed against the wall next to the small counter that currently held the slowly heating up hot plate. That would have been Ncky’s doing, Nile thought with a smile.

The water finally came to a boil and Nile made herself a cup of coffee. She looked out the window at the Welsh countryside and took a long slow sip of her coffee.

She started when she heard the door to the bedroom quietly click open behind her.

She wheeled around to see Nicky stepping into the main room, and closing the door behind him once more with another soft click.

“Good morning.” Nicky said quietly. He crossed the small room and took out a mug to poor himself some of the hot water.

“Sorry I woke you.” Nile said.

She opened the pantry and fished out a tin of tea. But when Nile turned to offer it to Nicky, he was already stirring in some of the instant coffee mix.

“It’s fine,” He said with a smile. And when he saw Nile’s look of surprise, “Sorry, do you mind if I have some of your coffee?”

“You never drink coffee.” Nile said, not really answering his question.

“I think you’ll find words like ‘never’ rather useless when talking to a 900 year old man.”

“I just mean- I’ve never seen you drink coffee. You have a cup of tea. Every morning. For seven months”

“We go through phases,” Nicky said, taking a small sip of his coffee, “Joe was particularly fond of coffee for most of the 1600’s.”

“An entire century is a particularly long phase.”

Nicky chuckled.

A comfortable silence fell over them for a while after that. Nicky sat at the small dining table and opened a book he had left there the night before. Nile stared out the window watching the morning fog burn off as the sun rose higher.

She thought about how much had happened in the two months since the previous time they had been to this safe house. None of them had died, thank god. But Nile had been shot twice in the leg, and Joe had taken the butt of a gun to the back of the head, knocking him out just two days ago.

Booker had had his throat cut so deep that Nile thought he was about to fade out as she held the wound together. Luckily he had pulled through, his healing repairing the damage as if nothing had happened.

Try as she might to distract herself though, her thoughts returned to her birthday. Surely it wasn’t something that should bring her this much anguish. She was not the type of person to care about getting older, let alone now when nothing would change.

But she had seen the way immortality weighed heavily on Andy and Booker. She had even glimpsed it’s sting in Joe and Nicky’s eyes, though they were better at hiding it. At least from her.

“Did you dream of Quynh?” Nicky asked after nearly a half hour had passed.

“What?” Nile said, genuinely confused, “Oh- no. I had just been thinking and forgot I was in a room full of jumpy, trigger happy warriors. I sighed too loudly.”

“Was that what woke me?” Nicky smiled, “Perhaps I am a bit jumpy.”

Nicky returned his eyes to his book, but it really didn’t look like he was reading. In fact Nile was pretty sure she hadn’t heard him turn a single page in his book this whole time.

“It’s my birthday.” Nile said before she could overthink it.

“I know.” Nicky said simply, taking another sip of coffee, and lifting his eyes to meet hers.

“You-” Nile shook her head, a confused smile spreading over her face, “You know?”

“December 10th, 1994.” Nicky said as if that was an explanation.

Nile took a seat at the table with him.

“Why didn’t you say anything?” Nile asked, and then hastily added, “I mean- I just feel kind silly for trying to hide it now.”

“I wasn’t sure that you wanted to celebrate.” Nicky said.

“It does feel strange.” Nile said.

“It always does.” Nicky said, he took a deep breath before continuing, “I’m afraid that won’t change.”

“Do you celebrate?” Nile asked, “I’ve been with you all for the better part of a year and I don’t think any of you have mentioned birthdays. Do you even remember yours?”

“October 22nd,” Nicky said, “On the Gregorian calendar at least.”

“So you remember, you just don’t celebrate.”

“Sometimes we do. Big numbers, milestones.” Nicky said, “Booker’s 249th birthday was two days ago. Next year we’ll probably do something. But generally no, we don’t celebrate as a group.”

“As a group.” Nile turned the word choice over in her head, “So that’s Nicky and Joe speak for you guys celebrate each other's birthdays without Booker and Andy.” -or me.

Nicky laughed, nodded, and took another drink of coffee.

“Wait- October 22nd? The last time we were here was on your birthday.”

“That’s true. This is one of my favorite safe houses, I imagine Andy picked it for that reason.”

“I missed your birthday. And I could have done something- gotten you a present or made you a cake.”

“I don’t need anything from you Nile.” Nicky said.

“I know you don’t need anything. But if you want to celebrate with someone I could have made an effort-”

“Do you want to celebrate today Nile?” Nicky cut her off.

Nile blinked at him for a moment. Did she?

“I’m not sure. With Andy and Booker the way that they are- it feels selfish.”

“Forget about them. Do you want to celebrate?”

“I think so?” Nile took a deep breath and tried to order her thoughts, “This will be one of the last birthday’s that my age reflects how I look. One of the last times my birthday will have meaning beyond just being a piece of trivia to remind me of how long I’ve been frozen in time. So yes, I think I do.”

“Good.” Nicky said with a small smile. He got up from the table.

Nicky disappeared into the bedroom and for a moment Nile dreaded him popping back out with everyone to surprise her. But no, that wasn’t Nicky's style.

Instead, he returned a minute later carrying a small rectangular package.

“Happy birthday Nile.” Nicky said simply as he placed it in front of her, and took his seat once more.

“Nicky-” Nile started, but her words seemed to evaporate in her throat.

“Open it.” Nicky said, his smile was the biggest she’d seen it in months.

She took the lid off the box and found the unmistakable shape of a white jewelry box.

“When my sword, my first sword, the one I brought with me to the holy land from Genova, began to deteriorate beyond repair it was Joe who suggested I melt the steel down to keep. A memory from my previous life.”

Nile took it out and opened it slowly, in it was a delicate silver charm bracelet. On it was a single, rough looking charm.

“Joe wears a piece of it on a chain around his neck.” Nicky continued.

Nile knew exactly the charm he was talking about. A simple rectangle of metal that hung low from Joe’s neck.

“Booker has a vein of the steel in a ring that he hardly wears, Andy has an earring, though I haven't seen her wear it in decades,” Nicky paused, “Quynh had a piece too, on an anklet. Though I suppose it’s rusted away to nothing by now.”

Nile stared down at the bracelet, unsure what to do next. Nicky took a deep breath, She could hear the slight quiver in his breathing that he tried to suppress.

“I have more though, I’ll replace Quynh’s when we find her.” Nick said. He extended his hands out toward the box, “May I?”

Nile nodded and pushed the box toward him. He removed the bracelet and held it up for her, fastening around her wrist when she offered it.

“Don’t feel obligated to wear it every day, or even often. Joe tries not to wear his on missions if he can help it.”

Nile took a closer look at the charm, it was a square, rough and unpolished, much like Joe’s. She had never gotten a close look at Joe’s pendant so she didn’t know what if anything was etched into the metal. But as Nile turned the square of rough steel over in her hand she noticed a tiny but intricate cross indented into one of the corners.

“I don’t-” Nile started, she laughed and then a small sob escaped her throat, “Thank you.”

“You are very welcome.” Nicky said, his smile was back to the small one she was used to.

“Well now I have to get you something.” Nile laughed out another sob, followed by another, and then she was full on crying.

Nicky moved around the table to stand in front of Nile and pulled her into an awkward hug while she still sat. Her head fell into his chest and she threw her arms around his waist.

“Hey. Hey- shhhhh.” Nicky said. He placed a hand on the back of her head, the other arm wrapped around her shoulders and held her tight to him as she let the sobs rock her body for a minute.

“I’ll have other birthday’s Nile, as will you. Don’t pay it any mind. I don’t need anything. Though I imagine that’s not why you’re actually upset.”

Nile nodded against Nicky’s chest, vaguely aware that a wet spot was forming where her tears had soaked into Nicky’s shirt. He held her there for what seemed like hours, but in reality was probably less than a quarter of an hour. Until her sobs had subsided into the occasional uneven breath.

“You haven’t missed Joe’s birthday yet.” Nicky finally said.

Nile laughed, pulled back from the hug, and wiped tears away from her cheeks.

Nicky took a step back, and placed his hands on his hips. He looked very fatherly in that moment, which made Nile’s heart ache, but it also warmed it ever so slightly.

“What about Andy?”

“I don’t know hers,” Nicky said, “But I don’t think she ever knew her birthday. She’s older than the idea of a calendar, or at least in the way we experience years and months.”

Nicky stood in front of her for a minute longer before grabbing both of their mugs and taking them to the bathroom, where the only sink in the cottage was located.

Nile took another closer look at the charm. She suspected that the cross that was pressed into the metal had more significant meaning than just their shared faith in a higher power. She would have to ask him about it later when she was feeling less emotional.

Nicky returned but he didn’t hover, instead choosing to grab his book and move to an armchair by the front door.

When Joe got up at last he gave her a wink and pointed at the bracelet.

“It looks good.” he said, and then went to kiss Nicky good morning.

Andy and Booker followed shortly thereafter, and the day passed mostly like any other.

That night she lay in the same bed she had started her day in, her heart much lighter. While it hadn’t been like any other birthday she had celebrated, it had been nice.

She got the distinct feeling that they were all aware it was her birthday. Even though no one else directly acknowledged it.

Booker had gone for a run with her and sparred with her before lunch. Which wasn’t necessarily abnormal, but she did get more than one hit on him that she was pretty sure he let her land.

Andy was a tougher one to crack, but given that she had chosen this house for Nicky’s birthday and now hers, Nile felt like it wasn’t a coincidence.

Nicky, with a little help from Joe, made a surprisingly good deep dish pizza using the fireplace for dinner. Another thoughtful gesture that was not lost on her.

Nile looked up at the now familiar ceiling. And turned the charm around her wrist in her fingers.

She felt different. This wasn’t the first time she’d had to grapple with the consequence of her newly acquired immortality in the seven months she’d had it. But it was the first time she’d felt generally ok with it.

Up until now Nile had felt mostly like she had only lost things since she died for the first time. She had lost the world as she knew it, her life as she knew it. She had lost her family, and a home to call her own.

But for the first time she felt aware of how much she was gaining. The feeling of safety that only came with home. She genuinely felt excited to make her mark on countless safe houses all over the world.

Family. Each of the other members of the Guard had already felt like a new family to her, but something about the simple understanding of today had made her feel loved in a way she had never experienced before. Each of their reactions to her birthday seemed to fit them all perfectly.

Things were different now, but she liked the small place she was carving out in their family.

Twenty-six years on this earth. She looked forward to what Twenty-seven would have in store for her.

Why I chose my url: Ah, well first my apologies to any Dutch followers out there as I didn’t know Kwaad was a Dutch word. Thank you @thedinalixlegacy for pointing that out to me.

So I’m an unapologetic fan of the Yuuzhan Vong from the old Star Wars EU. Domain Kwaad was one of the Yuuzhan Vong “Houses” or “Families.” One of my favorite characters, Tahiri Veila, was captured and shaped (brainwashed) by a member of Domain Kwaad to try and turn her into a Yuuzhan Vong. Tahiri’s Yuuzhan Vong name was Riina of Domain Kwaad. I just swapped out Riina for Raven and got my blog name.

Following: 153, several haven’t posted in years though. I should clean that up.

Instruments: I used to play the piano because I was a good half Korean kid that did as their mother said. I wish I had continued to play but because I was being forced to do it and had to take technical music tests every year (those damn tests stressed me out so much I had multiple emotional break downs right in front of the test officials) I started to hate it and gave up on piano as soon as I could.

Also used to play the clarinet in school because you had to start with the clarinet before getting to the saxophone which is what I wanted to play. But I got really bored with band and so never advanced beyond the clarinet.

What am I wearing: Pajama pants and t-shirt. I need to buy bigger shirts. I’ve found that as my tits grow (thank you so very much second puberty) they start to chafe against my shirts so I need to wear a bra even when casually relaxing.

Dream job: I never had one. I probably did as a kid but figuring out I was trans and trying to get my mental health under control meant that dream jobs and stuff like that were never something I thought about.

Dream trip: I would really enjoy doing a world tour to see all the Egyptian Obelisks that have spread around the world. Egyptian history is really cool and some of my fondest memories are of listening to historical audio lectures with my dad while driving together. I also remember visiting the Vatican with a friend of mine and seeing one of the Obelisks there. I think my words were “Oh that’s so cool. Let’s go see everything else they stole.”

Favorite food: Depends on my mood. Right now? I’d say Kimchi-jjigae.

Nationality: American... yikes

Favorite song: Going to cheat a little and say the Halo 3: ODST soundtrack. It is a slow almost somber jazz with falling rain in the background that I have used for years to help myself calm down and to stabilize myself whenever I start to fall into depression.

Last book read: Oh man. I haven’t finished a book in forever. If graphic novels and comics count then it would be the Aliens / Vampirella crossover. A surprisingly fun story that I really enjoyed.

Top three fictional universes I’d like to live in:

1. Star wars. Despite the never ending conflicts, I would love to live in a galaxy where space travel is so readily available.

2. Mass Effect. Yeah Reapers suck but having the ability to explore our galaxy and find new mass relays and species would be so damn cool.

3. Star Trek. Universal health care (I know other countries have it now but not the US)? No capitalism? Space travel? Relatively stable political climate? Yes please.

ONF in Demon AU

A/N : Is clearing idea dumps from drafts, this would be the second version of modern AU

Hi, does anyone remember the idea of illegitimate child of Satan from here and a random Lucifer!Hyojin moodboard here?

ALSO YOU TOTALLY CAN IMAGINE THIS IN A REVERSE WAY, ANGEL AU (where reader is a reincarnation version fragment of Archangel but this one idea dump/establishment will be done for another day)

ALSO you can totally imagine it as deity AU, example that you are Zeus reincarnation but you awaken late and you need to stop Kronos for his rampage. Or even you are Odin and you need to stop Modern version Ragnarok this time. And ONF members could be tie with other Greek/Roman gods. This one will be fun should OH MY GIRL and B1A4 are tied in too. Its just idea I am not sure if I will expand this. But discussions are welcome

(There is no harm to think it as late Victorian or any other era you like, it is just I felt it is better to write in a familiar timeline as I dont want to do something wrong)

So below are just a few establishment for the AU, I am not gonna divide this into 2 scenarios so warning this is going to be long post.

Ok even though I did mentioned illegitimate or forgotten child. This is plausible for your family comes from bloodline that related to demonXhuman ancestors.

Also it truly depends on you. Making into a throne inheritance war or

Reader come of age and their soul are reincarnated royal demon (not neccesary Satan) so there are some demons/demoness guarding you from you are still a child (kinda like those 2 characters from Good omens or Maleficent)

for the above idea, readers magical heritage only awaken once they pass a certain birthday 16, 18 or 20 or 21, up to you. So you suddenly can see mythical creatures.

It could be your bloodline awakened but you are not that qualified to ascend throne or because of your human blood you cannot hide yourself from angel/demon hunter so you have your own demon guardians

Lets say you are imagining on something big world building, again derived from the establishment for familiar au, it is definitely plausible for you to have other "candidates" and they have their demonic godparents/guardians as well

Example, should you go for inheritance war type, maybe you have a distant related sibling(s). It will be fun if you, have ONF members as your guardians while your sibling(s) have other kpop groups. Presumably to name, Dreamcatcher, ONEUS, ATEEZ, PENTAGON or ASTRO... in short its totally flexible.

To add, (and this is an idea i use to draft for fake pilot episode for a homework I worked), you could tally idols and number of idols you wanna integrate into the story to "Lesser Ley of Solomon", linking your bloodline towith King Solomon (*disclaimer, loosely based mythically). 72 demons, how many demons for 1 person is totally depend on you. Whether number of demons/demoness one have on their side equals to their power/ability (or even how many support they obtain) is up to you.

(and disclaimer I am not Christian this is just an idea dump so dont start cultural bashing. again this ia just an idea dump and I am not planning to touch sensitive issues yet.)

Ok enough world building, lets move to story wise.

You could be growing in orphanage it adds more mystery of your bloodline/heritage or similar to the familiar au, living with your family but your family later died on accident. Your parents bloodline combine making you are the perfect vessel for the reincarnation or maybe its a tradition like every 100 hundred years you will reincarnate or something. Again its flexible.

The moment you realize you are seeing things was you noticed similar aura of each person appeared on similar day. You might not get to see who is watching before you actually confronted to the air that you will contact the police

You might really go file a report but after several times the police be like dear there is no a single soul stalking you tho

then out of depressed, you accidentally get yourself into accident and your demon guardian shows up.

Or, because you started to able to see mythical creatures. Mythical creatures starts to notice your existence as well. And that somewhat gives off your location to other candidates through gossiping (should this is inheritance war type of story). Then your guardian show up to protect you when you are attacked by rival sibling’s demons.

Could be you visited some witch to get your ability to see mythical creatures covered up? Recommended by a friendly non related sibling or a friend you made/could be angel?

You thought you only got one but it surprised you that you actually got 7 (later 6)

As this was different from summoning because they are guardians either assigned or volunteered. There is no need for you to provide them anything. And different from familiar au, there is no need to leave them in your home. To ensure your safety they must follow you 247

For now I would be thinking our boys actually guards you in a daily shift. Example, Hyojin on Monday, Changyoon on Tuesday, Seungjun on Wednesday, Jaeyoung on Thursday, Minkyun on Friday, Yuto on Saturday, Minseok on Sunday. (after Minseok departs, the other members rotate themselves to do the Sunday shift)

Since their shift are like that, you sometimes take chance to hangout with them. Eating out with Hyojin, Arcades with Yuto. mostly happens Sunday.

I am thinking it might be fun which your predecessors of the throne are very eager to get the throne, you are just trying to keep out of trouble. So in another way, demon ONFs get to experience the modern human world in a more chill way, it was not just guarding you, but also trying to experience human world. You could like summon them?/keep them by your side just like a normal sibling (Especially if you are the type that grow up alone without any siblings)'

Cues in ONF members actually understand your preference and remembers them very well. So you could not help relying on them as days pass by.

You are defo gonna get an ultimate rival and a friend that shares the same circumstances as you. Maybe the first rival sibling ends up being your friend after they know you are not intending to compete. But there are some rivals are more aggressive out there.

Could be you knew a few demon hunters but they know you meant no harm and then they just let you go

It will be more fun if existences of your kind triggers inner civil war between demon hunters/angels. Because there is also some distant “siblings” of yours wish to live their live quietly but some parties does not agree of letting your kind roaming free and feeling the bloodline must end.

Should you are the type to compete for your birthright (because you are too irritated of people keep coming to kill you non stop). They are happy to serve you till the end as you embracing your darker side. (Well I am not sure to give ONF members and reader loveline here so I will not talk about it for now)For this version, to explain Minseok’s departure , I would prefer that Minseok is back at hell to be your team’s spy, monitoring all political moves and changes.There are still bottom line morality, you are not really slaughtering your way through. But you do make sure the other party wont come to look for trouble anymore.They are going to train you to make sure you are ready. Fighting in physical and magic.That friendly sibling joins on training you too.

You are definitely getting strict critiques from Hyojin and Seungjun during the beginning of your training.

My preferences, you get a friendly sibling(s) where their demon guardians end up being BFF with yours. (RTK and MIXNINE side effect, sorry)

Characterization should be the same as those I have established from the familiar au. Just the world building and some settings that are slightly different.

Hyojin is to keep the trait of his preference on human food

Changyoon is to keep his nagging trait

Seungjun might help you with studies (not solidify him as a nerd but there is tendency that he will)

Jaeyoung is more to the body guard type

Minkyun defo gonna make friends with stray animals (either you house ends up becoming pet shelter, you becoming a foster mom for animals or you cannot keep any because you are allergic but mental supporting Minkyun is up to you)

Yuto definitely is the quiet but alert type same goes with Minseok

My preference stereotype for them would be the cinnamon rolls that would kill

Sometimes they might go.. “ I am a known demon back in hell but why I am doing this babysitting shit?”

But then ends up enjoying stuffs human does lol

Changyoon enjoying TikTok lol, they got famous because of their contents.

Defo gonna have movie night.

It will be funny if ONFs as demons themselves, got scared at the monsters/ghosts seen in horror movies. Bonus if you actually not scared of horror movies. And they are gonna question you out of disbelief like why the hell are you not scared? How can you not even flinch a single bit?

Reason : monsters and ghosts imagined by human beings do not look the same based on their knowledge.

They sometimes show themselves to other humans but rarely. Mostly just being the unseen follower behind you.

Cues in sometimes they forgot they are invisible, and picks up something from the mart and it gave people a fright. Example, Changyoon or Minkyun passes through a nice outfit and just took the hanged outfit out to place in front of himself, only to realise what he did after looking into a mirror nearby

Hmm my thoughts, Jaeyoung and Minseok would be the ones who would always their visiblity when you are out with them.

Hyojin and Changyoon would be the ones who prefer to keep their invisibility

Copying from familiar au, should you attend college or university, people might thought some members of demon!ONF are your boyfriend.

At first when they changed pattern starts to live close to you, they could not get the concepts of moral of human being well. You will be guiding them.

Could happen that you are so pissed off by someone at work and you could not help but ranting when you are at home.

(Of course the demon!ONF on that day saw what happened but you did insist on them to not do anything)

They might go like : “ Should I kill them for you?”

You : “What?”

Random ONF member : “I can do it to make look like an accident you know.”

You : “OMG NO”

You : “You know maybe you can try to mend things when they are trying to frame me on purpose.”

Random ONF member : “Gotcha”

For the you are not competing scenario, they would be always keeping you safe from harm until you died. Should you get married, you let them participated as relatives/friends. Cues in they even help you take care of your child later on. It could be even fun if you child does not inherit bloodline but they can see ONF members

I will stop here will write another post should i have more ideas to add.

Welp of course for a third option scenario, would be you being a supporter the friendly sibling of yours. You just wanna stay safe so you acted like an advisor role for that candidate, helping them to gain power but not participating directly. Like I said its flexible

For this one I would like to write it as you are just trying to chill with your quiet life but demon hunter, angels and aggressive candidates keeping coming at you.

Also for this one I would link to the point of unfavorable and forgotten child part.

Less favourable child gets assigned with less powerful or less aggressive demons

So for this story ONF aren't high class fighter demons at all. But they do excel in magics.

In opposite, you could the one who knows how to fight maybe because you are quite rebellious in personality.

The moment you found out there 3 parties wanna kill you and innocent less aggressive candidates, you snapped.

Maybe some candidates heard of your friendly sibling name and they rushed over to seek help. End up bump into you instead.

You : what kind of dad is *your biological demon dad name*?"

Cues in Demon ONF keep calming you down because they are afraid that rumours of you belittling your demon father might make their king angry

But you have your attitude and no shit is given. Because you understand that your life your destiny is in your own hands.

You : I wanted a peaceful life alone but now I have to deal with Angels, hunters and a bunch of siblings that I never met , never knew about each other, who all wants me dead.

You : its not fair.

To end it once and for all, you suggested to the friendly sibling to find other candidates that do not have any intentions to compete for throne. Form allies with them so that later own they could get votes for the throne and the rest of the gang could get a decorative chill title while living a peaceful life

Also suggested to the sibling of yours make use of the allies to protect less aggressive candidates

It worked politically. As most of the candidates work on slaughtering others to cut secure birthright, your ideal and policy of strengthen inner then tackle threat gain more favour. Finally your sibling gets the throne.

And you and your other members of allies might get duke duchess or something

This version of story would have and need slot of mind games. Political games as well. (Will be interesting to write but there will waaaaaay too much characters to take note.)

you reached your phone as it started ringing loud beside your pillow

your blackout curtains leaving your room so dark that you couldn't believe it was already morning

again your phone started frantically ringing

it wasn't your alarm, and you just remembered you don't set it for weekends

with your vision yet blurry you could see your phone’s screen, which displayed "HAN JISUNG"

"hey, jisung, what's up?", you said with your dry throat almost not letting out a sound

"WHAT'S UP?! where the hell are you?? don't tell me you were sleeping, y/n! IT'S 9AM!!"

oh. my. God. you totally forgot you promised to your best friend you were going to help him babysitting his little cousin

and it was already 9am, the time you planned with him

so you jumped out of bed and took a quick shower

you had no time for looking good, but you tried at least to put nice clothes on

and jisung wouldn't care for what you're wearing, but still you unconsciously picked your best t-shirt and pants

rushed to his house on a taxi and you made it almost at the hour you two planned

jisung was sitting on the driveway in front of his house

you loved that neighbourhood, and you missed living there

jisung used to play with you on a playground in front of your houses when you were kids

the playground was still there, but it got rotten, luckily you kept your friendship with him till now even moving to another neighbourhood

there was your best friend looking intimidating to you when you arrived

he was looking so cute, what you really didn't want to admit but he was and you could not lie to your mind

"y/n, you forgot this? my auntie is probably mad at me right know"

he grabbed your hand making way to his house

"sorry, jisung, I forgot to set my alarm. you know I'm never out on weekends, so I-"

both of you got inside his house, and you realized he was still holding your hand

he seemed not to care since you were like siblings and did all that pda stuff

jisung was the person you knew the most and the longest in your life besides your family

a sudden nervousness came to you, as you watched him holding your hand even when you came inside

"you had breakfast?? you know you're at home, if you feel hungry"

"oh, yeah, breakfast, I just ate a bread on my way"

"so, you want a sandwich? you really like the ones I do", you had never felt this way over jisung

he was literally offering to do something he always done, but why did it make you flutter?

maybe you never stopped to see how handsome he became

of course since he started to grow taller than you and going through all these puberty stuff he caught your attention

but as a friend, not as a guy that could make you nervous

you watched him cutely make sandwich for you, and you really liked them

jisung was usually a lazy person, he just liked to lay down on his bed and not move at all

so you loved when he started doing something for you

also jisung is so clingy to you

since he's not too much into meeting new people, he always invited you to his house

your circle of friends was the same with the same people for years

but you are the first one he's always looking for

and you loved that privilege

but it's been a while since he got you when you weren’t expecting

the sudden hugs he always gave you had a different effect on you

you always enjoyed them, but sometimes you were afraid to make it awkward

probably he didn't realize once he was always talking about girls with you

and you also move on with these feelings

years ago when you both were just teenagers he did the same to you

maybe it was even harder cuz you were filled with all the emotional teenager stuff

but with time your mind started with the "you really thought about this option? oh hell no"

so having something with him was a plan so far from you that thinking about it would make you feel nauseous

but you both grew up, and you could appreciate him even just being his best friend

still, watching him smile just making a stupid sandwich for you was a "two butterflies trying to make a wind" on your stomach

"oh God, jisung, this sandwich was amazing. you really are good on this, you could sell it and save some money"

"thanks! I never do it to anyone, even my mother, she will never have the luck to eat these. they are a special bonus for you"

"oh damn it, can you not, han jisung", you thought

he always said cheesy stuff that you actually loved and laughed at, but at least for today they could bang you down

"now my energy for today is all gone. when the baby wake up you take care of her, she's actually a little baby monster"

jisung laid his head on your shoulder for some seconds

not a necessary information, but his hair had such a good smell

he got up and messed with your hair while giving you the softest smile ever

"what was this for?", you asked trying to mess with him pushing his head

actually you just tried to avoid some awkward reaction from you

"what?! you're my best friend, you always give me the energy I need to keep going with my lazy life"

"exactly, your lazy life, cuz you just told me to take care of your baby cousin by my own"

"it would be so boring if I stayed alone here, so that's why I called you. she doesn’t really wake up, she's always sleeping. maybe she'll just be awake when my auntie come to pick her"

in fact he always called you when he was bored

you also loved to be with him, even when you were just lying on his sofa doing absolutely nothing

he stared at you while you finished your drink

that feeling rising again on you, making you avoid his gaze

"I just saw your shirt, it's so cool"

slightly choking on the juice you tried to recompose yourself

you felt so stupid to really think he would notice your damn shirt, what's wrong with you

but he did and you weren't expecting

"don't give me hope on this, I'm trying to move on", this phrase stuck on your mind

"are you ok?", he asked since you acted awkward

"I-I am, it's just funny cuz it's an old t-shirt, I just chose anything to wear today”

now there was a reason why you unconsciously chose that damn t-shirt

stupidly trying to change this situation

"you're so dumb" he laughed at you again, messing your hair up

you hated when he did that, so for a second he couldn't make you flutter or get nervous

"so what? watch a movie or just scroll down on our phones looking for a boyfriend to this beautiful lady", jisung squeezed your cheeks till it hurt, and that was another thing you hated the most when he did

but it was good

as if your life told you to open your eyes and just stuck in a friendship with him

you wouldn't be able to realize how annoying he could be to you in a relationship, but even if your feelings tricked you these days, he is your best friend and your number one supporter

so just let it be beautiful as it is as best friends

you can't even imagine how hard these days were for me since I was stuck on some awkward feeling towards you. I never even imagined thinking about it when it comes to you. you're the cutest guy I ever met and the one that makes me laugh the most. you're my best friend and the type of relationship we have is so precious for me, you have no idea. but I really got lost on my feelings, and I tried hard to hide them in front of you, but you just keep being so sweet that I got tricked by my heart, and I was really without room to get out of them for a while. but spending time with you made me think again, and even if I think you can be the most caring boyfriend in the world, I can't imagine you not being my best friend. so I decided to move on and leave these thoughts behind. I guess it kinda made me take a step ahead on my life decisions, and I'm so happy that you actually took part on this. thanks for everything, thanks for making a good memory that I can laugh about later. thank you for everything.

Aragaki, the lone wolf who sticks out like a sore thumb at nightly meetings, is from the same orphanage as Sanada. Three years ago, Aragaki was a member of the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad, where Sanada awakened the power of Persona within him. However, he wasn't able to fully control his powers. One day, a horrible accident occurred and a number of people were driven mad. Aragaki's Persona went berserk and snatched away the life of an innocent bystander. Despondent, Aragaki dropped out of school and began aimlessly roaming the streets at night. In order to restrain his Persona ability, whenever Aragaki is faced with danger, he takes a suppressant drug - although it has its side effects. Aragaki only returned to the SEES to bear his past deeds. Aragaki gave his life as a final apology to those tied to the past and unable to move forward, saying: "I'm the only one who deserves to rot in hell."

People are taking my return to the SEES really nicely... What the hell happened. Back when it was just me and Aki and Kirijo, the lounge felt way too big... But with all the new members, it's stuffed. Girls, a little kid, and even a dog... Some real variety in this lineup. Did Aki and Kirijo just get swept up in all that?

And on top of that, they're all treating me real good, even though they barely know me. The 2nd years think I bailed their asses out at the meeting place, when really I was just chasing off some pests. Either way, they're being real nice to me.

I don't bother with school or club activities or whatever, so I can focus all my energy on battle. Hit me up whenever you're heading off to Tartarus. I mean, that's why I came back here in the first place.

Under the full moon, a Shadow appeared, as promised. I hang out at Escapade plenty, but this time everyone on the floor was complaining about the power being on the fritz. I guess that was an omen or something that a Shadow was about to appear. Can't let things like that slip you by.

But man, there were some real annoying tagalongs last night. Junpei thought he was gonna party his ass off, the poor guy. That chick from Strega was totally stringing him along, but Junpei still managed to be worried about her. Maybe I'm being too harsh, but pure-hearted guys like him are the ones that fall for that kind of thing.

But still, the chick's Persona was really something... Might be worth worrying about. I think I'll pop my head into the hospital too.

1. How did it feel when your Persona awakened?

I don't remember anything from back then...

2. What did you think when you saw your Persona?

Don't really care, that's just how he looks. He's Aki's Persona's brother. I mean, me and Aki go way back. You couldn't separate us even if you tried.

3. What's your favorite attacking strategy?

I'm not a big fan of whittling enemies down bit by bit. Better to give 'em one big hit and knock 'em dead, all in one go.

4. Any Shadows you have trouble with?

I don't got any weak points. I mean, if your Persona is weak, that just means your heart is weak.

5. What do you want to do when we're done fighting?

Hell if I know. I just want to take responsibility for what I've done. I think I'm just about there. After that... Aki, it's your turn.

Come on... I am not gonna participate in your little cosplay thing. The bus stop was one thing, but this time you　want me to wear a tailcoat? What? Is that a butler costume? Like I'm gonna play some servant role.

Oh, and when we're going off to Tartarus, don't expect me to act like we're going on a picnic, or whatever. When a Shadow pops out, I want to look like a grown-up warrior. We didn't get this far by being stylish.

I mean, if you're fighting to win, then I'll quit whining. Just don't mess around too much. And don't forget that lives are on the line.

Haven't Seen a Movie In Ages

Man, I haven't been to the movies in ages. It's a lot nicer to go on your own, but... Well, if you're inviting me, you must be kind of a weirdo. I guess I don't mind coming along though, kills some time.

But like, did you pick that movie on purpose? "Woof-Meow Kingdom"... We were surrounded by family, made me weirdly sweaty. And the climactic scene where they got dragged in the river... That was... Well, whatever...

Right, I need to give Koro-chan the special dog food and assorted bones I got on the way home. The leash we use on walks is filthy, so maybe I should get a new one, too... Oh, and I'm going to give him a bath later tonight. Shoot, I forgot to get a massage brush...

Anyway, do you think Koro-chan's good at doggy paddling? Never know when something bad might happen around water...

Evening Walk

You guys keep going off about how taking a walk at night soothes the soul, and I kinda have to agree. I used to kill time at night by hanging out in back alleys or clubs, but I guess it's not so bad doing something more healthy with my evenings. And this is so weird, but taking a nice walk makes me want to make dinner for Koro-chan.

It's fall and everything's being harvested, which makes it the season for eating. You guys need to remember to eat up and stay healthy. Or else you're gonna end up bedridden, like our leader was. What would you even do if a shadow popped out then? Well, I guess everything's going good on that front, so it's fine for now. Just remember to get a nice square meal in every day.

The Trick to Cooking

Fall's the season for eating, but I don't think that fancy kitchen we have is getting any use. The fridge is full of sports drinks and milk, the cupboards are crammed with protein shakes and cup noodles and junk food... It's messed up. Do you people seriously never cook? We didn't even have a good set of utensils, so I brought some in. Yamagishi's the only one who seems excited about cooking, but she doesn't have the basics down yet. Don't get me wrong, enthusiasm's great, but...

Well, if you've heard someone say that cooking is an act of love, it probably came from someone who's mastered their basics. Doesn't matter how much love you pour into your cooking, if you mess up some fundamental part, it's not gonna taste good. A super common mistake beginners make is ignoring what the recipe says and improvising instead. Get your basics down pat, then you can switch things up. Remember, you don't gotta rush it. Doesn't matter what you're doing, taking it one step at a time is key.

So tomorrow's the long-awaited full moon, huh. And you know another huge Shadow's gonna pop out. But I never thought the full moon would fall on tomorrow's date, of all days... I can't bring myself to call it a coincidence.

It's not like I think I won't be coming back, but with what I have in the palm of my hand... Well, I can't tell if it's a coincidence or a cruel prank. And the whole time I sit here agonizing about it, the pocketwatch in my palm keeps on ticking. If I had to name the one thing I can never change, it'd be my past self. Who's bound by their past now? It's not just me... So, the only thing left for me to do is to make things right. Because no matter what I choose, I don't got much time left...

I'm not gonna write anything more here, I promise. You don't have to forgive me for my selfishness. And no matter what happens, don't you dare cry...

If You Get Into A Relationship...

Social links with Aragaki don't turn romantic until you max out your S. Link rank with him. But once you do get to max, if you call him one more time, you can have the protagonist confess to him. After a short period of heated questioning, you can enter Aragaki's room. Acting much unlike the Aragaki you've seen so far, he will embrace the protagonist and make an unexpectedly bold move. While it's quite the mushy event, if you do get in a relationship, he'll actually be quite assertive. By the way, the protagonist confesses to him in the dorm lounge. If you think about it, Yukari and Junpei and all the other members would be right next to them the whole time...

Chapter Fifty Three

We made it to the restaurant just in time. The mouthwatering smell of cheese and sausages filled the air and I was curious about the Suisse cuisine. Our table was set at one of the windows, with comfortable corner seats and Theo snuggled up to me as soon as we sat. We always felt the urge to touch or to be near each other, but it became even more intense since we were here. Now that the farewell was near, we almost clung. The dinner was wonderful, we laughed a lot and because of the fondue we ended up feeding each other again. I never did that with any other man before but somehow with Theo everything was different, our relationship moved on a different level, it felt deeper and more naturally.

On our way back to the hotel, Theo got sent the timeline for the next day and he stopped our walk cursing. The recording process was finished but now they had to prepare for the promotion period and from now on, his days were completely packed basically.

My flight was in the early afternoon and we just realised that these were our last hours before we had to say goodbye in the early morning. In our room we made tea, took a blanket and went to the balcony. Cuddling we imagined our future without the distance, the appointments and duties. It was fantastic to dream, to find out about each other’s ideas and wishes and we only stopped when we started freezing. Unfortunately we couldn’t stop time, so we were forced to get some sleep but made sure that the alarm was set early so we would have some more time together.

In the morning we ordered room service, got ready, Theo watched me packing with sad puppy eyes and it took all of my willpower to suppress the tears which were building up inside of me. Theo had to leave but I couldn’t stay here without him, so we checked out together and went to the next bus station. We were the only people, the sun was shining and no one planned to leave this beautiful spot, except me. I checked the schedule, we had a few more minutes before the bus would take me away. Theo fumbled in his coat pocket, put out an envelope and handed it to me.

‚I totally forgot to ask you for the song!! Please tell me, that there is a copy of it inside!?‘ I could punch me for my obliviousness. Theo smiled shyly.

‚Yes, it is in there and…some bonus tracks as well. You will see, please take your time with it and don't open it before you're home!!‘ He said in a serious tone and I promised it. He pulled me into a tight embrace and the first tears escaped my eyes. We stood there like a statue until the bus appeared and we had to let go.

‚We will make it, sunshine. Don’t cry, remember what we said?!‘ Theo wiped away the tears from my cheeks and fixed his eyes on mine.

‚Yes, we won’t repeat the last break but try everything to meet again as soon as possible. And we will talk to each other every day, texting alone doesn't count.‘ Theo nodded satisfied and gave me one last kiss before he helped me with the luggage. I forced myself into the bus, sat down on a seat next to the window and new tears started their way out while I watched Theo standing alone outside. The bus set off and I waved at him, he patted his chest and tried a smile. When he was out of sight I turned into a mess. The drive to the airport lasted an hour and I needed this time to come down and to focus on the essentials: Find the right gate, be on time, get through the luggage inspection, survive the flight and make sure to get home as fast as possible. The only thing that kept me going was my curiosity, I needed to know, what Theo had put in this envelope.

Four hours later the washing machine worked, I changed into comfortable clothes and even managed to prepare a frozen pizza. Chewing I typed Theo a message that I got home safe and that I would open his surprise now. I went to the living room, sat down on the couch and opened the envelope. A letter was the first thing I pulled out, not only one but round about twenty pages, handwritten. Then I took out a CD it was blank, no lettering on it. I decided to start with the letter.

Darling,

this is the most difficult letter I've ever written. You might think I'm crazy and maybe I am. Since I met you, my thoughts are running around you all the time. Hopefully I can explain my thoughts good enough for you to understand. They are strange, I am strange but I really want you to know what’s going on in my head.

On our last tour, it felt like we have been thrown into a rollercoaster. We had nothing, were living on the dole. Hurts was our last try after the failure with Daggers. It was only Adam and me. We had this song ‚Wonderful Life' and we were so proud of it and decided to put it online. Within one week the rollercoaster started its ride. The video got attention, we were invited to play in Berlin, labels and managements asked us to sign, we recorded ‚Happiness' and from that time on, touring was our life. Imagine being a complete fool and only weeks later, girls are screaming your name, singing along to songs you wrote in your bedroom. We slept in expensive hotel rooms, met famous people, played huge festivals and enjoyed every bit. I was sure that this is exactly how I wanted to live: Free, independent, traveling and adored. But when you’re on tour all the time, you miss everything that happens at home: Birthdays of family members, weddings of friends etc. Freedom was also exile in a way. Adam and I spoke a lot about it and naturally we developed the concept for our second album. We listened to heavy and dark music, Adam became addicted to layers of sounds and effects and ran around recording everything that would create a metallic sound. I thought a lot about lyrics for that topic. Remember when I told you about contrasts?! I imagined being exiled as an extreme condition. Can you live with it or will you end your life in loneliness?! When you live, do you satisfy basic needs, do you let people come close to you?! Do you try to compensate this extreme lifestyle with something else radical?! I wrote down a few plots, trying to picture the highs and lows of exile. And then I met you.

When I spotted you in the audience, you embodied the temptation to break the exile. Just seeing you started my creativity, I had new ideas in my head and I was hoping that you would wait outside. You did and when I finally asked you for your name, I couldn’t believe my ears. Suzie. Out of every name in the world, yours is the same as the girl‘s in ‚Wonderful Life', the song that changed our lives. And there you were, standing in the cold and I knew you could change anything again. Somehow you did. I could write another hundred pages or I could come to the essential part: The CD. May I introduce to you, this is ‚Exile'. I ask you to read the description to every song first and listen to it afterwards. I also put ‚Ohne Dich' at the end of it. I am petrified for your reaction but I hope that you understand me and I pray that you like it.

I couldn’t believe that Theo let me hear the songs before they were released and even more I couldn’t get into my head that some of them might have been influenced by me. With shaky hands I put the CD in my stereo, didn’t start it but took the paper with the first song description.

1. If you had one month and all the money you needed, where would you travel?

There’s a track. In mountains somewhere in America. I don’t remember its name. But it may be the longest mountain track anywhere. Probably need two months to finish it at least. Forgot all the details. But yeah, that one. There’s something endlessly freeing about climbing hills only to get back down.

2. Would you ever consider moving to another country? Where and why?

Been there, done that. Lived in Austria for several months during my university studies and later lived in Germany for two years. Both times easily the best times of my life, challenging, exciting, hard but very, very interesting.

3. And if you did move who or what would you miss the most?

First thing that comes to mind is the Czech bread. No other country in the world - maybe except for Slovakia - knows how to bake a proper loaf. I missed it terribly in Germany. As to people, I am a terrible person who forgets family members’ birthdays and sending Christmas cards every year... I don’t really miss people? I dunno, I can always whatsupp them.

4. You invite people over for afternoon tea. What do you offer them to eat?

Homemade puff pastry, sweet bits with jam and salty bits with cheese. They take about 20 minutes to make (and about 5 minutes to vanish, that good are they).

5. What’s the meme that best represents your life right now?

Me: That ship? In MY SHIPPIYARD? Brain: It’s more likely than you think.

7. If you could adopt any animal, what would you adopt and what would you name them?

Oh, it should be probably noted that I am not the best person to have animals - both husband and me are working, both going frequently on business trips that take several days. It’s hard enough to manage this around three kids, imagine having to arrange caretaker for a dog or cat as well. Nope. I could never give them the kind of regularity they need, like walks every morning and so on. I am hopeless with everything that grows which rules out a fishtank too, I had fish but I couldn’t keep the plants alive and the fish didn’t like it. I could probably keep a snake. Feed it once in fourteen days and let it sleep. Yeah, my spirit animal.

8. What’s your favorite comfort food?

Tortilla chips and hot salsa. Not really comforting when you think of it, but apparently having my mouth on fire does calm my nerves.

9. 3 pieces of furniture in your room other than bed?

Nightstand, closet, closet valet

10. If you were to write a book or direct a movie, what genre would it be?

Book: probably SF. I mean, I’ve been there, half-way. The number of my already published SF/F stories would probably be enough for an anthology by now or something.

Movie: I am not really the directing type, I like screenwriting more. I would probably write a script to a movie and be the type of screenwriter who constantly harrasses the director about the direction he’s taking it.

11. Comic about you?

Yeah, it’ll be titled “Fake it ‘til you make it” and it would be about spending 35 years with a massive imposter syndrome.

I live in Newcastle and I am trying to get a car soon. I am not a UK resident so I have recently acquired UK full DL. Is it cheaper to insure than first-time drivers as a 17 year old? I am an experienced driver and have had California State Driver License for 5 years and now I am settled down here so I thought I might as well get a license here. I do know that overseas insurance no claim's are not really relevant around here, nor I want to bring my records down to UK and try to bargain cause I do not have great driving records to be precise. So this is my question, would a 21 year old male first-time UK licensed driver be able to get cheaper insurance than a 17 year old male at the same position? If I want to spend less than 2,000 per annum on third party only, what insurance group of cars should I look at? Long story short-I was in an accident on 6/28, that was my date of loss, submitted the claim then, my car is in the process of being repaired-and it will be ready 7/23 which is ridiculous. I have been with State Farm for 12 years and I am amazed at the service-or lack thereof-and their turn around time requirements. I was in a car accident when a girl blew a red light and smashed into my side. $10,000 in auto damages that was fixed rights away. (btw she admitted fault to police so im 0% at fault legally) I went to emergency room for precautionary reasons. That cost $1450. Then little by little the pain started to kick in. I had neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain and terrible pain in my knee. I had MRI on back, knee and neck because those were the worst. That total was about $1800. I was told by the doctor that the mri on my back said I have two herniated disks and I should do therapy. I listened to him and went four times per week for four months. The Mri on my neck came back good. But my knee showed a tear in mcl. I had surgery on that and had to see the surgeon in his office twice plus hospital bills which equals a bill of $14,500. I then needed 2 months of therapy on my knee. Also all the pain meds ive been taking through out the whole process is around $600. I had a ekg for my nerves to test if they were good and that cost $800. So after doing my research I find websites that say the settlement amount s should be all bills multiplied by 3 depending on the persons insurance carrier and coverage. Well this person has $200,000/$200,000. So far all my bills have been paid through my insurance. When I do the math for what all the bills are is comes to roughly $28350. I didn't include the four days per week for therapy and seeing the doctors. That has to be a big chunk also. My lawyer called me and said he was made an offer of $42,000. He gets a 1/3 of that. I think they low balled me soooo bad on this. If i use the X3 multiplier method then it should have been somewhere around $85,000 offer. Remember I didn't even include all the visits to the therapy. Is this a good offer or should I decline and wait for second offer? My lawyer thinks we should wait it out because he has such a big insurance policy that we can get much more especially since that was our first offer.""

Is This Right? (Retinal Detachment/Cataract/Lens/Insur... Question)?

Let me make a very long story short and get right to the questions. I have moved across the United States by myself at the age of 20 with no insurance covered by my parents, nor will they ever if they could. I had a retinal detachment in my left eye. Paid out of pocket for an eye doctor appointment, he freaked out and told me to go straight to the emergency room for emergency surgery since my entire retina was detached. After my surgery, half unconscious too, a social worker got assigned to me because I was under 21 and legally dependent on the state. So the state paid for my surgery. I had a 2nd one too because the first failed. During my 2nd surgery I had cataracts in my eye so they removed the natural lens. And they never replaced the natural lens since they feared the retina may detach again like the first time. But it stay together and I turned 21. So therefore, legally independent by the state. My check up appointment was after my birthday which the front desk of the eye section declared I must pay $80 for every check up visit, which they wanted me to come in every other week. And if I did not pay, I could not go in. Due to my 6 months of surgeries and recover time I had no money, and was not working. I live with my in-laws, and they were taking care of me, but they are certainly not going to pay my medical bills. So here I am now, age 22 and I have been working for about a year. My job does not offer health insurance until you worked for a year, and even then, there is a certain month you can sign up. I have been walking around for over a year without a natural lens, or ANY lens in my left eye. This is in no way like being blind. My doctor had told me that if I got my license and drove, if ever in an accident, I would get in serious trouble because you are not supposed to drive this way. Not that I do, I cannot see correctly so it is wicked dangerous. Having no lens in one eyes messes with your other eye. Hard to explain unless you have literally had this situation before. Sunlight glares into my bad eye, then into my good eye. Same with darkness or bright lights in general. I am actually very blind at night because of this. This is literally ruining my life. I have no money to pay for insurance, or the surgery which can be easily be 10,000 dollars. Is this legal for a county hospital to do? I have never heard of anyone in my situation. Need advice on qualifying for subsidized health insurance?

I'm an older full-time college student and my husband works full-time at Walmart. In the past three years, I've been through 4 cancer related surgeries, which were paid for by the breast/cervical cancer Medicaid program. Unfortunately, follow up care and monitoring aren't covered and I was dropped from Medicaid. I'm now on my husband's health insurance, which is basically worthless because our income is under $20,000/yr and the policy has a $4500 deductible plus 20% after. I haven't seen my oncologist for over a year because we can't afford the expensive scans, biopsies, and lab work associated with cancer follow-up with a deductible that high. I thought my situation would change in 2014 with Obamacare. I recently learned from the healthcare.gov website calculator that our income is low enough to qualify for expanded Medicaid (which our state decided not to expand), but I don't qualify for the health insurance subsidies I desperately need because the outrageous deductible health insurance from my husband's job covers spouses. How can a couple with an income so low they would qualify for expanded Medicaid be ineligible for subsidies? I am completely devastated over this and I don't know what to do. Not being able to afford cancer follow up care is putting my life in danger. Even if my husband's employer (Walmart) quit covering the spouses of full-time employees, I think that would only apply to new hires because of the grandfather clause. If getting subsidies was based on income alone the way it should be instead of access to employer provided coverage, I would qualify for a zero deductible policy and $3 co-pays with a monthly premium of around $60. I could then afford the expensive health care I need. We live in a college town so if my husband got a different job, he'd make even less than he does now and we would probably end up homeless. If my husband transfers and we move to a state that's expanding Medicaid, I'll have to quit school and get rid of my German Shepherd and Siberian Husky since it's almost impossible to find a landlord that allows them. We thought another option might be to get a divorce on paper and co-habitate until our situation changes (completing my degree and getting a good job so I can afford the deductible), then re-marry. When I asked about that, someone actually accused me of wanting to commit fraud! How can anyone think of something like fraud when a situation is endangering someone's life? I got engaged in December of 2013. It was one of those engagements where we didn’t know when we were going to get married but as long as we knew it was going to happen we didn’t mind. We had our minds set on a few dates but with Tyler in college and getting pregnant, we decided we were going to wait. I wasn’t even 21 yet and anyone who knows my family or our friends knows how silly it would be to be under the age of 21 and have a “Beattie” wedding. So we finally agreed on August 5th 2017. We struggled so much on what date to go with until one night I had a dream and Tyler had said, “let’s get married on August 5th….”. I woke up and looked at the calendar and found August 5th and looked for the year that is fell on a Saturday. Thats is how August 5th 2017 became the day we would get married.

Lets recap some of the big moments we experienced all while trying to figure out how to have our wedding before we reached that awkward five year engagement stage…

We had our daughter Ariyana on February 12th 2015 and bought our first house December of 2015. We then moved to Maryland for Tyler’s internship in May 2016, where he got a job offer to stay but we decided it wasn’t in our best interest. Tyler then graduated college with his Bachelors in December 2016 and in February 2017 we finally relocated to Chesterfield MI. So with all of this taking place I forgot that, “Oh hey…you are getting married in six months and you have nothing planned”. That four-year head start I thought I had was meaningless. Not to mention we were a good four hours away from our wedding location and every company we used. But we made our obstacles work and that is why I know, so can you.

So where does one even start when planning a wedding?

Here are some tips and ideas to help make planning your day, easier!

Guest List: Holy crap! This was the most irritating part of the whole thing. I think that I had at least three different lists going at one time because it was so hard to decide who was going to be invited to one of the biggest days of my life. You would think this would be the easiest part, just invite everyone! YEAH I WISH! It would have been awesome to invite every single person Tyler and myself have known over the course of our relationship. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the location, or funds to make that dream a reality.

Do I invite immediate family or all family? Close friends or do we invite college and high school friends also? Then don’t forget, family friends, parent’s friends? Kids? No kids? Who is that going to upset? Trust me its overwhelming to say the least.

This was the biggest obstacle I faced because I am a people pleaser and I did not want to offend anyone or have anyone think that they weren’t important enough to be invited to our wedding. But that is simply not the case.

You have to be realistic when it comes to your guest list. You have to think about who would actually come. Have you talked to this person in the last year? Would this person be someone you walked up to if you seen him or her at the store? Would they walk up to you? Has this family member talked to you in the last few years? Have they met your kids? Life is busy so its understandable that not every single person that is important to you has been able to stay in touch as much as they may have liked, but I promise you, it is not hard to see its someone’s birthday and take five minutes out of the day to say Happy Birthday. One thing that really helped me was asking myself these questions: have they came to things you have invited them to in the past? Did they have a valid excuse if not? You have to take those little things into consideration because lets face it, invitations alone cost a good amount of money.

Venue: This was one thing that I did research on for what felt like forever! The biggest thing you need to know when deciding where you want your venue is your budget. The next thing you need to decide is whether or not you want to have someone cater your food and provide your alcohol or if you want to do so yourself. Either option is a good option. Doing it yourself can save you money but it also requires more work. I went the do it yourself route in order to save money, so I needed to find a venue that was going to let me do my own food and alcohol. After long hours on the Internet and asking around, I found the Loading Dock in Shelby Michigan. It is a two-story building that is beautiful and you are able to provide everything yourself. I decided I wanted to have my wedding and reception at the same location just because it was a little further away from where most of us lived. However, I had a large amount of guests attending, and limited space for both ceremony and reception set up, so about a month before, I rented out the pavilion that was right next to it. It honestly couldn’t have worked out more perfect!

You will also need to figure out if the venue provides things such as tables and chairs. This is something that can add up as well. I ended up renting tables from Oceana builders in shelby MI ( http://oceanabuilders.com). I went with round tables because I liked the way it looked. However, if you need to fit more people in a space, I recommend getting long tables.

Save the dates: Lets just start by saying this is something that can be done differently based on budget and still have the same outcome. Its just going to depend on what methods you want to take. We had my cousin take the pictures for our save the dates. We got lucky because we had someone to do that. Otherwise honestly there are a bunch of cute save the date cards and invitations out there these days that look just as good without a picture. I spent a while looking for deals on the Internet for both save the dates and invitations. I recommend looking and waiting for certain deals because you really can save a ton of money this way. My best friend literally just got all her save the dates for free from Wal-Mart because she found a deal where you could print an unlimited number of 4×6 pictures. So can you guess who just made her save the dates in form of a picture and saved so much money? And to top it off, they looked just as good as mine did.

You could honestly even buy heavy-duty paper and make cutes ones using Microsoft programs. This was one idea I had but for me it just wasn’t as convenient because ink and a printer, paper and envelopes added up to just as much as going through a company. But some people can make it work!

One thing to remember though, is that if you are not planning to travel city to city to hand deliver each of these yourself, you are going to have to purchase stamps. This was not something that even crossed my mind because who would think that stamps would be a big-ticket item when it comes to money. But with my 200 save the dates, 200 invitations, 200 RSVP cards, bridal shower invites, at .49 a stamp… it adds up and it adds up quickly. So saving money by finding good deals is really important, especially if you are not trying to take out a separate loan just to tie the knot.

Wedding Dress: We all I am sure have seen the TV show Say Yes to the Dress. It would be awesome to say I just spent $10,000 on so and so original…or not! But seriously, I know of people who have spent $60 on their wedding dress and I know others who have spent $5,000+.

I personally had a budget of less than $1,500 and for me I had a wonderful mother who had me covered. I got my wedding dress first thing, so about a year early. I don’t regret that one bit. I got my dress at David’s Bridal in Grand Rapids. They had a ton of different options that suited me well. I went dress shopping with my best friend who was also getting married so we went with our moms, her dad, my grandma and my cousin who happens to be best friends with us both. I got a lady that was super nice and all about making sure I was happy. She got a lady that was less concerned in making it a great experience for her, which was super annoying but happens. I went in not knowing what type of dress I wanted and knowing nothing about designers. I had always thought I wanted a princess style dress with a ton of bling so, I tried on four dresses, no princess style, all bling, and I fell in love with the fourth. I said yes to the dress, got to ring the bell and then checked out. A few weeks later my mother and I made a trip down to Grand Rapids to pick up my dress. The lady working comes out saying “oh I Love this dress it is so pretty”. I looked at the dress and it was the ugliest thing I have ever seen. I just remember saying, “okay that is nice but this is NOT my dress”. I looked over at my moms face praying she wasn’t about to have a freak out Mother of the Bride moment…but she calmly got out her phone and showed the lady what the dress was suppose to be. Turns out the store marked two dresses with the same identification number and it just so happened to be not the one I wanted. However, it actually worked in my benefit because the dress I picked out was a few hundred dollars more and because of their mess up, we got it at the same price as the other dress. This was proof that good things can come out of bad situations.

So if you are not planning to drop 50 pounds before your big day, I recommend getting this done and out of the way as soon as possible. Your dress and your bridesmaid dresses!

Bridesmaid Dresses: Getting all my girls together at the same time wasn’t as hard as I imagined it would be. I had six of the very best bridesmaids. We picked a date and time and all met at David’s Bridal in Grand Rapids. The best part about getting the dresses there was that if there wasn’t a sale going on they were guaranteed $20 off because of the fact that I got my dress there as well.

I was not a picky bride and I surely didn’t want them to spend $150+ on a dress that was ugly. So the only thing that I asked was that it was a long dress. Other than that I really didn’t even care if it was the same dress, as long as the colors matched. So we found the dress we all liked and the lady there said it would take about four weeks to come in.

So with the normal “I need to slim down” goals that every girl has before walking down the aisle in a wedding, the girls waited a few more months before putting their order in. When the time came to order the girls called and the lady said, “we can’t do that color in the time frame because it is a popular choice this time of year”… Nightmare!

I started looking at other stores, but all were either way more expensive then I wanted them to spend or not in the right color. This left me the option to change the color. It all worked out in the end because the gold metallic we went with was super pretty and just happened to go with the rest of my decorations. But can you imagine the panic if it didn’t work out or I would have had a bridezilla moment?

Anyways, some of the girls went and got measured and some just ordered online. The dresses all came in within a few weeks of them ordering, which was awesome. The only thing I stress is making sure they all try on the dresses right away so that any alterations that need to be made can be done in time! That way you have zero dress dilemmas day of! We lived and learned on that one! Just remember that no matter how picky you are and what expectations you have, be thankful for the bridesmaids. It is not the cheapest role to take on and it definitely can be one of the more stressful.

Groomsmen Attire: The best part of figuring out what the guys are going to wear is that it can literally be anything. If you want casual it can be casual. If you want full suit, that would look great also. We shot for somewhere in between. My guys had black pants, a white shirt, suspenders, bow tie, and a jacket (which they ended up ditching right after pictures). I loved this look! But I have also seen jeans and a vest look good too, so it really is all up to what you are picturing.

We went to Men’s Warehouse because it was the most convenient for us. All the guys were spread out across Michigan, so the fact that there were stores also spread out across Michigan really helped. I was able to design the look online and create an account. The guys were able to go in and reference the number and order their suits that way. My favorite part was that they have online chat so if you needed to change anything about the look, you were able to without having to make an extra trip into the store.

Also if you had a certain number of tux rentals, the groom gets his free! And we all know by this time, anything helps! $$

Decorations: We made all of our decorations ourselves. I waited for Hobby Lobby and Michaels to have there 50% off sales for the items I needed: glassware, candles, picture frames, fake flowers, etc.

I got my tablecloths from the website Linen Tablecloth: www.linentablecloth.com. This was the cheapest website I found tablecloths from and trust me I looked everywhere. I wanted the cloths to go all the way to the floor because to me that just really brought the appearance to another level.

I bought plastic plates from the company www.boxed.com. I was able to get over 400 plates for $200, which was awesome! You could also go with paper plates, especially if you are doing buffet set style food. I however had the plates set up at the tables before hand to tie together the simple decorations that I used.

The last thing we did was hung lights everywhere! We are so thankful for my father and mother in-law for taking the time to do that! It made the world of a difference. For lights you can get them basically anywhere. We used the stands of Christmas lights that our family had and then my mother bought the bigger style ones from TJMaxx!

Overall my decorations, plates and tablecloths all cost under $500 and I couldn’t have asked for it to look better!

Flowers: I went super simple with flowers. I did baby’s-breath for my bridesmaids, groomsmen’s, my father, ushers and officiant. My flowers were simple as well, but turned out beautiful. You can also do flowers for the mothers and grandparents. It all just really depends on how traditional you want to go. For me, I have so many grandparents and to get them flowers would have cost me close to $100 with just them. So it made the most sense for me and my budget to just get the people flowers who were in the ceremony.

I went through Jenifer Vincent who is located in Fremont Michigan. Her business is called Linden Floral, LLC. (http://www.lindenfloralllc.com) She recently moved her store to Hidden Treasures right down town Fremont. She was amazing to work with and her pricing was great! Especially because I changed my mind a few different times because of budgeting concerns and she was so helpful and patient with me.

The great thing about flowers is that you can go big or small and they will look fantastic. I just recommend getting someone to do it; it is one less thing you have to worry about getting done!

Photography: When it comes to wedding photography there are a few different options. You can spend 1000+ on a photographer or you can take the cheaper route and have someone you know take them.

For me, the pictures were not the most important part. I knew that no matter what, I was going to be able to get a few good photos that I could post online and get blown up for my house décor. Other than that I knew they were just going to sit on the computer or in a photo album.But I am not going to lie getting a professional to do your pictures would be less stressful. I got lucky because my cousin was just beginning her photography career, so I hired her and she did great. I got a ton of photos that were wall worthy, plus she was able to capture great moments all throughout my reception.

There were a few mishaps that we had to deal with though so my biggest advice is to make sure whoever is taking the pictures has enough memory cards to last the entire wedding. You can’t even imagine how fast those things fill up! It is better to be extra prepared than anything! So when hiring a professional photographer, you would not have to worry about the little hiccups like that, but it will cost you a pretty penny.

Another thing is giving yourselves time to take the pictures. I literally had like 45 minutes to load up my bridal party, get pictures with all my family and go and get pictures done. It did not leave us much time. Although we got good pictures with the group, we were majorly lacking on pictures of just the two of us, which is a total bummer. We will probably just end up doing that new anniversary photo-shoot where you dress up in your wedding attire and take photos. I am just glad someone did that first so now I have that option.

Entertainment: We went with a DJ. Anyone who knows me knows that music was one of the most important things to me. Getting married to the love of my life was one thing, but getting to dance the night away with all the people that make my life complete was another.

We went with the company Sounds R Us because it just so happens to be Tyler’s brother. But other than that we heard great things about the company and their abilities. I had seen him perform at two other weddings prior to my wedding as well, so that made the decision very easy for me! He already has booked a few of my friends since then, so go look him up on Facebook! Or shoot me a comment and I can get you his number!!

He even did as much as save my wedding ceremony because my brother had dropped my speaker and broke it the night before, so you can say I was extra thankful when he said he could do it without a problem!

Honestly, the night turned out great. We had great music all night and we were able to request what we wanted when we wanted.

Transportation: Don’t wait! Seriously. If you plan to have a limo/ party bus get this rented and done right away. We didn’t.

We originally went through the online company www.price4limos.com. This company finds you the best priced company for your event and area. We were able to find a limo company through them and give them details on when and where. We got as far as paying the deposit and confirming everything. The next day we were informed that they didn’t pay attention to the zip code and they thought it was a different location. At this point, I was devastated and in tears. I just had to remember that this was not the point of getting married and it had to be happening for a reason. Luckily, with the help of my awesome husband, we ended up finding a company that had a karaoke van that they let us rent out. It all ended up working out just fine but this is why I recommend getting this out of the way first.

Party favors: This was one thing I didn’t put much thought into. When I go to weddings the last thing I care about is what I get to bring home. So while I was planning, I initially didn’t even think I was going to end up having anything. But at last minute the website totally promotional (https://www.totallypromotional.com) was having a great deal that I could not pass up. The company took about a month to complete the order but it was great.

I ended up getting stadium type cups that had a cute little saying on it along with our initials and the date.

Here are some other ideas for wedding favors: mason jars, chap stick, koozies, cups, pens, candies, etc.

*One of my wedding favorites so far was at my uncles wedding; he had someone make the alcoholic beverage “apple pie”. They put it in cute little mason jars and it was a huge hit!

You can’t really go wrong with wedding favors, but just make sure you have enough for everyone!

Salon apportionments: This is one thing you are going to want to plan and schedule right away. Especially if the salon you use is always busy.

I went to Snipperz Salon In Fremont Michigan and they are the only people I would recommend. The staff is beyond amazing and you will 100% leave happy. Just make sure you make your appointments right away. I made mine well in advance and still had another wedding the same day as mine! So don’t ever think you have time! Get those appointments made and make sure you give yourself enough time to get everything else done.

As for nails, it is usually easy enough to get in the week of your wedding, so you don’t have to worry about that. Just make sure you don’t get them done too early because you don’t want to risk them getting broke or scuffed.

So with all that being said

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day. It was beautiful weather, everything went according to plan, and I got to marry my best friend.

Overall my advice is to make the day about you. Don’t forget that. I had someone tell me once that my wedding day was for my guests. I just don’t agree with that statement. The wedding is for you. You are the one who put forth the effort to make it to this moment. You are the one who has dealt with the good, the bad, and the ugly. So just have fun, don’t stress too much and go marry the one you love.

Have you said I DO? I got engaged in December of 2013. It was one of those engagements where we didn’t know when we were going to get married but as long as we knew it was going to happen we didn’t mind.
