you and vinnie had been dating for a couple months now, but you kept your relationship private on socials.

no one on your platforms knew you were dating vinnie. being an influencer mostly meant your whole life was online, and you wanted to keep that part of your life to yourself as much as you could.

when you met vinnie you had told him that most of your life was online and that if the two of you started anything serious, you’d like to keep it private.

he was okay with that and very understanding. there had been arguments in the past about it. him saying he just wants to show you off but he can’t because of your profession.

you felt terrible, feeling like your keeping your relationship a secret instead of just for privacy reasons.

the two of you had a long talk, discussing solutions and talking out feelings. you came to a conclusion and you both were happy with it.

today, you were filming a video for your youtube channel. you had gotten everything set up in your room, making sure nothing was out of place before you hit record on your camera.

you explained how you were going to do a q&a, answering some frequently asked questions and other things that you see often in your comment section.

you pull out your phone and start answering the questions, going into detail about them as you do.

while answering another detailed question, you don’t see the incoming text from your boyfriend that tells you he’s made it to your place.

you wrap up with that question and move onto the next, still not seeing the text. before you can get a word out, your bedroom door opens and you see your boyfriend.

you smile, not knowing how to tell him your currently filming, he obviously doesn’t see the camera being held up by the tripod.

vinnie makes his way to you and tackles you, squeezing you tightly and showering you with kisses.

you giggle at the contact of your boyfriends kisses all over your face. vinnie lifts off you and smiles, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear.

“you look so pretty today, baby.” he whispers, kissing you softly.

“i don’t look pretty everyday?” you tease, making vinnie blush.

you hit his chest lightly and laugh. “i’m just kidding, vin. thank you.”

the two of you sit up, still facing each other. you realize that vinnie still hasn’t noticed the camera, which is filming everything.

“well actually, half the time you do look — what, i look like what?” you cut him off, giving him a smile to let him know you’re not actually upset with what he’s about to say.

“like the most prettiest, beautiful, sexiest, girl in the world.” he says sweetly, adding the last compliment just to see your reaction.

he watches you blush and cover your face with your hands. smiling, he removes your hands from your face.

“there you are!” he gushes. “i’m so lucky to be yours, y’know that?” he asks, caressing your cheek softly.

that’s when you tense up and realize the camera was still rolling, and he had said it loud enough to where it definitely picked it up.

all the touches and kisses didn’t register in your head, half the time you’ve been like this, you two were facing away from the camera, only your backs being shown in the frame.

“shit,” you curse as you carefully push vinnie off you. “i totally forgot.”

vinnie furrows his eyebrows in confusion, wondering what you were talking about.

you turn around and gesture to the film equipment right next to you.

“i was filming a q and a, i totally forgot the camera was still going when you came in..” you said.

vinnie caught on, “and i just slipped, didn’t i?” he asks, rubbing his hands over his face.

the camera was off now, but that doesn’t excuse the fact it picked up everything.

“you could always edit it out. i mean, it was like twenty minutes of just us goofin’ around.” vinnie told.

that was true, but then you’d have to refilm the whole video, having answered a question right as he walked into the room.

“i could always… leave it in?” you ask, wanting to make sure vinnie was comfortable with it.

his smile is so wide across his pretty face that you can’t help but smile too. he walks to you, wrapping his arms around you with a kiss to your head.

“if that’s what you wan— no, i’m asking you, v. do you want me to keep it in?”

you were already warming up to the idea of showing vinnie off on socials, you felt the time was coming soon, and you wanted to take that next step.

you knew vinnie had become a bit hesitant, not wanting your fans to get upset or anything like that. he knew how they could get from time to time.

he smiled at your generosity, holding your hands in his and squeezing them lightly. “i’m okay with it, i think we’ve waited long enough.”

you smile and kiss him, excited for this new step. it wasn’t anything huge, but now all of your followers could finally meet the boy that has made you the happiest you’ve ever been for months now.

grabbing the camera, you head straight to your desk and tell vinnie you’re going to edit it a bit before posting it.

once it’s posted, vinnie kisses your cheek and smiles. “i’m glad the secret is out, the secret that wasn’t really one, but you know.”

you laugh and rub your thumb against his cheekbone, kissing him.

“me too, i’m glad everyone finally gets to meet you now.”

hours after the video was posted, comments on all your platforms were going crazy. most of them said how cute you and vinnie are together, but there were a few that had been a bit rude.

you learned not to let them get the best of you. you had an amazing man that treated you right and loved you unconditionally, that’s all you cared about.

i can't sleep and i want to fight youtube

#been seeing posts abt them targeting adblockers and now specifically firefox users #and i ended up thinking about and going down the mental rabbit hole of how they've obfuscated info over time #like back when they added ads to yt they used to show where they were in the video timeline w a lil yellow thing #and it was only one ad. that you could immediately skip if you wanted #over time they made it so you had to wait to skip. and then they made some ads unskippable #and then they made it two ads. i swear at one point i had seen Three but that was shortlived or i may be mistaken #but i never realized when it happenee but they did at some point remove those ad indicators. now they just #they just Happen. and a lot of the time they're placed in breaks in the video but not always #but that's not the problem. the problem is they used to give us that heads-up that ads were coming #and now they Don't. they just appear and we Have to watch them at least a little bit #its like the same shit with the dislike bar. that was incredibly relevant information that just got Axed one day #its info that they have and they had provided it for you before but now they decided hey. :> its not important #when it really fucking is actually #i got particularly incensed yesterday when trying to watch a video where theyre playing a card game #the rounds are really short and last like a minute each. and in between each round they would play ads #i only know this because my phone does not have an adblocker #i don't like it much in general but that was a truly egregious experience and i legit could not watch it. i stopped entirely #THIS is precisely why i use an adblocker and that is what youtube wants to push onto you #it makes me really mad just remembering what once was and how it's gotten so bastardized at this point #fuck google tbh the only thing i condone of theirs is gmail and drive #and its a shame that they have such a monopoly on internet video hosting that there is no alternative anyway #mrah im tired and angry

Day 1-Lesserafim’s Hong eunchae

Today lesserafim we’re performing perfect night so YN thought it was a good day to invite one of the members to have a little chit chat on her new show.

When she got there she saw that they were resting from all the performing at the show.

She was of course shy and nervous as all of them were older than her.

So when she got to the room they were resting In the first thing she did was bow saying hello in a polite way.

“Hello I’m here to pick up eunchae” YN said but didn’t notice kazuha fan girling in the background.

“Sure” Sakura said and eunchae excitedly got up to meet the younger one.

On the way outside the building YN said”I saw you enjoying some bubble tea then-“

“Ah do you want one? I can go get it for you we have more than 2” eunchae says and rushed back to go and get one bubble tea just for YN……

“Ah No nee-“ she said but it was too late as eunchae has already gone back to the room and got her one bubble tea.

“Here” eunchae said and gave YN to which she smiled and thanked her.

“Unnie! Your smile is so cute!” YN cooed at eunchae.

Eunchae couldn’t help but blush and smile wider.”yours too! We kinda have similar smiles” eunchae added and you were turning slightly red from the compliment.

“The disadvantage is you’re netizens targets” eunchae said now turning serious.

“Right! They can hate on you just for blinking!” You said.

“You could just blink and someone could say ‘OMG did you see the way she blinked she’s such a pick me!’

“Exactly they use the word pick me just for anything you do,When you aren’t purposely acting cute they say you’re doing it on purpose!” Eunchae agreed sounding frustrated from the thoughts of bad netizens.

“For real! They hates on wonyoung Unnie just for eating a strawberry with two hands! Like how does it affect them! She can literally eat the strawberry any how she likes!” You said also getting annoyed.

“But thanks to supporters I honestly fell better” eunchae said looking at the bright side.

“Yeah! If I feel down I’ll just go to the comments section on one of our Music videos and just keep on scrolling and wishing I could like some of them” you said acting it out.

“But I’ve seen videos of you replying to comments and fans videos” eunchae asked confused.

“Well that’s only on Tik tok and instagram but on YouTube my manager said to not” you explained.

i have been doing cpn posts here and there about wyb’s alleged song list and here is another one. i’m just gonna name it wyb’s playlist cpn from now on. so the explanation is, some people know wyb’s personal qq music account so if you follow him you can see what he has been listening to. i am not really familiar with the app so idk how the settings work if he can hide some. no one is saying how they found out about the account, which makes sense for privacy. in a similar way that some fans know zz/wyb’s gaming account till now. feel free to not believe it cause i understand that things like this can be sus & people on the internet tend to lie.

for me personally tho, i love this cause i think music really speaks of what someone is feeling. and you have wyb who is not exactly big on social media so we rarely know anything. aside from his now extensive movie list, his playlist is something that is interesting too. not necessarily cpn-wise all the time.

watchergate & where we go from here...

To start at the end, I purchased my annual Watcher TV subscription on April 20th because I wanted to support them when it felt like so many others were not. I'm cancelling another subscription to make this work with my budget, and I'm very happy with this!

Watcher has always made high quality, entertaining content that I love, and I'm happy to support them as they try to grow like they've always wanted to so they can bring on more creators and give us more diverse art.

So, moving forward, I'm going to be posting about Watcher TV when it comes out - spoiler parties with the sexy moots! - and I'll be blocking any and all haters I see. 💜💜💜

To walk this back and give a little history/context, *ahem* [sotto Byron voice]

April 12, 2024: Watcher announced they had a surprise coming for us in a week's time. The news came in the form of a very spirited ad-read in the Mystery Files s2 finale. And afterwards there were a few blogs posting about it, but I commented to a friend that my dash had been devoid of Watcher posts (oh, how that sweet summer child would grow to long for a day such as that).

There were some corkboard theories, and I broke down the new logo design, but nothing big happened until the following Thursday.

April 18, 2024: I saw the leak for the announcement. It was on reddit and a sock tumblr blog was made sending the link out to people. I didn't post it or share it because it wasn't my news to share. I wanted to wait to see how they were going to explain it.

Maybe I should have said at the time (but it's fine if you don't believe me now I guess) but I was hoping Watcher TV would become like their enhanced Patreon replacement, where the new shows like "Puppet History Karaoke" and "Road Files" would be exclusive, and some other perks like early access. [note: if Apollo is laughing at him right now, I'd kindly request he stuff that red ball somewhere Helios doesn't shine]

I imagined some people would be mad at the streaming news but it didn't prepare me for how bad it would get...

April 19, 2024: Most of us know what happened. The announcement was not well received. Watcher's silence right after wasn't helping, but I don't think many people were willing to give them any grace for their pre-planned trip to the UK and instead demanded answers immediately.

Do I think maybe their announcement could have been timed better? Or maybe given a different tone? Perhaps. But either way what they were trying to communicate was not what people chose to hear, and the response from many viewers was, to choose a very formal phrase here, absolute bonker banana balls insane.

The main anti-streamer "arguments" I saw basically boiled down into these categories:

"high production tv quality content is what they want to make, but we don't want that - we only want them to sit in a blank room and talk to each other with blue and yellow text like the bfu days!!"

"Steven's the one behind all this bc he's rich and greedy and only eats gold"

"they already make enough money off their patreon why are they doing this?? they should have consulted [insert other yt-er here]"

"they've become the capitalist elite that we swore to destroy! so we have to tear them down from their thrones!!"

Even now, feeling better than I have in days, I don't have the energy to say why each of those takes completely misses the point of who they are as a company, as creators, and as human beings. But there are some eloquent posts in my #watchergate tag, or my other post, if you're interested.

April 22, 2024: We got the Watcher update - giving people access to all videos after a month on the new streamer - and that seemed to placate a lot of viewers and those on the fence. But it was also the day I learned about that horrible petition against Steven, and I'd been following all this drama for several days (foregoing some self-care) and so I had a little meltdown...

Even though the new setup is closer to what I'd hoped for like 10 days ago, I hate how we arrived at it. It's shown people that they can bully creators to get them to compromise on their company. In fact, I've seen accounts celebrating this.

Opinions like this have given me trust issues when it comes to the Watcher fandom at large now. As many of my beloved mutuals have said, I'm going to be wary of accounts that follow me and be applying that blocking feature liberally.

I can also only imagine how things like this must have broken some of the trust that the Watcher crew feels for us - fightingfuries really said it best. If they do start distancing themselves on socials and things, I wouldn't really blame them.

I don't have more to say, other than I'm going to support them as much as I can, for as long as they continue to make content. I'm going to send the team a care package. And I hope in time we'll earn back their trust.

As for the question of why we decided to launch our own platform, when we started Watcher in 2020, we wanted to create shows that we were proud of, that we had ownership over, and that would provide you the caliber of content that we felt you deserved. However, we were finding it harder and harder to stay relevant to advertisers and the constantly changing YouTube landscape. We faced some incredibly challenging decisions. We didn't want to compromise our content to ensure they met advertising requirements. And we definitely did not want to lay people off that have brought Watcher to life behind the scenes. And we didn't want to bring Watcher to a close, which would have happened if we stayed solely on YouTube. - An Update, April 22, 2024

Kookie bought a pack of 500 straws so he could exercise his vocal chords because he saw Sam Smith do it. But alas, he didn’t think it was working for him. Nevertheless! they won’t go to waste! because he can slurp down his highball much faster using a straw...

This cute goofball is the global spokesperson for Calvin Klein jeans... he mentioned that the Calvin Klein video was up and he acted bashful about it. He did say when doing these types of endorsements as a group is one thing, but doing them personally on his own, the product must be something he personally endorses. And he also said he will be embarrassed when people speak to him about his ad images. Perception vs reality. 

He tells us he’s cleaned out his closet recently and only kept all his black clothes, but now he says he will wear Calvins now. One thing to look forward to... Calvin Klein clothing silhouettes are typically cut close to the body. Meaning they are not the oversized baggy things that we normally see on JK. Just sayin’! Bring on the airport fashion! 

He asks to please show Calvin Klein a lot of support. Check! Marked off the list! I believe that company is scrambling to actually have any merchandise in stock this week, right? They weren’t prepared. Mission accomplished, JK. 

For a few moments he thought he spoiled Jimin’s episode of Suchwita because he couldn’t find it on Youtube. Sus, Youtube. 

Aside from the adorable heart eyes he had and the knowing grins and outright laughter while he watched, Jungkook nodded when Jimin said if he could go to any point in time, past or future, he would choose 2025 when they would all be together again. Kookie nodded vigorously again and let out a deep, wistful sigh while watching that brief segment. Was he getting a little lump in his throat too, just like I was?

Yoongi then says “we all have an idea of what things will be like when we come back” and Jimin agrees and when Yoongi asks Jimin what he thinks it will be like, Jimin says “we’d all be back together after we’re done.” I am assuming he means military service, and that he is curious to know how it will be and that’s why he wants to go to that point in time. 

Jimin, we all want to fast forward to that time. None of us want you all to have to take this mandatory break and we all want it to be over with as soon as possible. 

When it was over, Kookie fixed himself a fresh drink, took a potty break and then sat wordlessly on the couch for at least 15 minutes listening to music and pondering the universe (it seemed). Songs he queued up: “12:45″ by Etham; “thoughtboutu” by Karencici; “Another Day” by Gervs; “Adrenaline” by Lauv; “Where Does the Love Go” by by María Isabel and Yeek and “Honeymoon” by Johnny Stimson.

He sweetly sang along to “Honeymoon.” That song has a similar vibe to “10,000 Hours” and I wish to god Kookie would create a song with that ambience because it would become one of those all time greatest hits.

JK read a few comments (FINALLY?) he randomly says he was wanting to look up Jimin’s lyrics...? Jungkook and his never-ending fight with his Apple TV commands ensues. And he finally finds what he’s looking for... the BigHit intro.

He proceeded to fanboi during Set Me Free Pt 2 even being a tad slack-jawed and droolly when the 2nd verse started and Jimin’s cheat sheet tattoos were on full display, JUST LIKE US! 

Done satisfying his need to know the lyric was “maze” and watching the entire video anyway, he quickly found a Jimin compilation video. Are you shitting me? 

Now, we all know how insidious the Youtube algorithm is. If you watch ONE video of any genre/topic... what happens? YT serves up several more from the same creator or same topic or genre. Watch a reaction video? Then a dozen videos by various Youtube reactors will be summoned. Watch a Korean street food video? Then you will see a dozen videos about Korean street food. FACTS!

Every time you go to Youtube after that it’s like trying to get rid of cockroaches. You spend some time hitting the “not interested/don’t show me this shit ever again” option or else that will be all you ever see forever and ever amen. 

So my point is, that Jimin compilation video was not random. Youtube isn’t a random platform, it is very articulated to deliver cocaine in video form straight to your brain in order to get you addicted so you keep coming back. 

Anyway. Kookie again was like a kid watching cartoons and Army comments were totally forgotten while he watched this fan made video.

Hi, I am DrawingPad-Studios(or Rachelproductions in some places) y'all can call me B, Lime, Drawing Pad/DP, or Paint Brash/PB/Painty. Whichever you find fit, I don't care. I go by basically any pronouns, since I'm genderfluid and don't care about pronouns.

My hobbies are drawing and writing mainly. And I try to main horror and gore, but recently I've been delving into other stuff with my activity in the SPR fandom and my more recent original works. I've been meaning to go back to horror and gore, but I have been forgetting and just don't really have the motivation yet to get back into it.

And I'm open to any questions y'all have about certain things about my creations, since I love infodumping and world building.

(if you're under 18, I recommend you read the Wattpad version since it censors what little adult activity there is)

A Sci-fi Romance Series about a human named Ceres and a Tressa-Octos named Nebula accidentally meeting and falling in love. the first volume (the only volume out so far as of the time of this post) is a slow burn where Ceres has to hide Nebula in her house from the government while he has to repair his spaceship, while also she is dealing with her ex and his side girl.

The Monster in the Cafe:

a Slice of life story about an Urban Ledgend (not based of any Irl) monster, that used to kill and eat kids, wanting to change his ways and ending up adopting an orphan anomaly that came to his cafe one rainy day.

Deep in Love:

A (most likely overdramatized) Slice of life Romance based off the two male deep-sea octopuses that scientists found engaging in homosexual activity in the past. Ollie and Octavius are dormmates in the university of Valley Deep, first meeting in their dorm room on orientation day. getting a slight rivalry when they figured out that they are in the same art minor (Ollie because of his competitive personality and Octavius because he doesn't feel like Ollie is taking art seriously). all ending up with the realization that they ended up falling for each other.

The Manic of Ivory Maden:

a Fantasy Adventure about a group of people that were affected by a mysterious force in some way or another, joining an angel knight to fight said mysterious force. Traveling across the land to find and corner "it".

Alchemy Cafe:

A fantasy adventure about a guild of wizards that open a restaurant using their magic to cook. Going on adventures to get special rare ingredients to make their recipes, while also learning off each other and taking care of their own personal problems.

Off Blood Birch(was gonna be a show, but been forgetting to make the models for it):

A slice of life story about the many lives in my object universe's 5 main realms and multiple mid-realms. The good and the bad. Using the lore for my universe in my Wattpad world building book "the Multi-realm"(as of posting this, the lore isn't completely set in stone)

Super Paper Roblox: Hundred Year Symphony(been forgetting to write this, but I'm trying to get back into it): (out)

A continuation cult au story that takes place after the events of SPR. After the plot book gets rewritten, Two Wish Titian, that Duskkar and the original main 6 guardians of Balance sealed away, gets released and now Wiscara and Scriptless along with a few others that join them, must try to reform the 6 main guardians of balance and reseal away these two Wish Titans before they take over and/or destroy the world.

The World Below(same situation as with Off the Blood Birch):

A SPR original story, taking the original characters and basically "OC-afying them"(to steal a phrase). Duskkar, Tess Aract, and Scriptliss gets kicked out of cover after a battle with Equinox and the 6 beasts of Chaos, plot book-less and Void Star-less.

*whatever I'm gonna name my Space Time Continuum au story*:

I'mma be honest, I don't have a idea for this yet, but I'll update this part whenever I have an idea for it.

All Cards Shuffled:

A Shuffle Au of The World Below. After the battle in their original universe, Scriptless and Tess Aract wakes up in a universe that's similar to theirs, but everyone is shuffled with each other. Now, they have to help the Chaos Beasts of this new universe(now called the Balance Beasts) get the balance of the world back in order and get back to cover.

Musical Dorks: (technically out, but being reworked)

(old idea) Jock x nerd au

(reworked idea) Base Cleph and Tretone end up attending the same highschool. Base Cleph being a quiet, nerdy, creative type and Tretone being the jerkish, heavy headed, loner type(basically keeping the nerd part of jock x nerd but removing the jock,[inspired by "your stupid face" or whatever that one song is called]). After being paired up for a school project, they finally got to talking. Starting to become friends because of the project, and growing more and more together through their shared love of music.

First off WOW, just wow. This chapter took me through so many feelings! The sadness and sting of rejection but also the acceptance that a lot of good things happened because of Osamu. The acceptance that a lot of things were also messed up before him and we’ve gotta address that too. It’s about him but it’s also not. The realization that we have friends! Good friends who care! And also that we can start over.

I love the slow growth. It’s realistic but also really comforting. The warmth and happiness in finding good friends but also the buzzing excitement (also anxiety) in realizing you have to find yourself too. I GASPED when the phone broke so early! But I loved that our friends (so far) just welcome us back into the fold. Like they understand what’s going on and they’re giving space and time.

And Noya! I love Noya and I wish I could be like him! Him getting the volleyball out of nowhere made me think of the official time skip art and how I started seeing ads for Mikasa volleyball travel bags eeeeverywhere lol. When he mentioned the YT channels first thought was ohhhhh Hinata is going to show the team his super cool senpai and Atsumu is gonna see us and tell everyoneeeee.

And as much as I love a really dramatic, whirlwind romance I really love the healing. It’s not just about Osamu, it’s a whole host of other things. And while you can most definitely accept love and love others through the process (as our new friends never let us forget lol) we had some work to do. Hopefully Osamu has been doing the same.

2. If you don’t want to bother with Supernatural canon at all, then you are still in for a treat. With 92,500 fics (December 12, 2020) and counting, destiel is currently the biggest ship on AO3. Destiel fics cover a lot of popular tropes and kinks but some are more popular than others among destiel fans. Angst, miscommunication, exploration of Dean’s low self esteem, Cas’s rusty people skills and general otherness are a staple of AU fics. But also exploration of one’s sexuality - internalized homophobia, coming out, bisexuality and asexuality are common themes.

My Editing Process

I've been asked to detail my editing process that I've been developing over the years. A bit of backstory overall—I've been writing fanfiction for 20 years as of this post, ever since I was 9. My first fanfics were godawful but I enjoyed how fun they were so I kept writing. I love worldbuilding and storytelling. The majority of my progress, however, has been made in the last 9 or so years.

Now as I've always said, I'm not the best writer at all nor will I ever claim to be, I've just been writing for a long time. My storytelling needs some serious work, and my lack of an attention span and ability to tell stories actually cripples me from writing longer, more fleshed out fics. Basically, I'm a short story writer. But with Apex Legends, I'm trying to inch my way into writing longer fics, and at the very least, fics with actual small plots.

In saying all that, my editing process has developed over the years as well, but the biggest overall was about a year ago when I started watching more YT videos of writer tips and content.

Kinda New Process (First major change)

My writing process for the longest time was just "read over fic, fix typos, done" which is...not very efficient lmao.

Last year during my YT video binge I learned about the different stages of editing and started incorporating that into my process. This was the first major edit I made to my process before my current iteration. I'll give a brief overview of what they these stages are, but keep in mind I'm not a professional writer:

Developmental. This is where I worry about the overall structure and plot of the fic. Does it make sense? Does it flow well? Is the pacing okay? How's the character development? These are usually the biggest changes I'll make to the fic overall and often times involve full on structural and paragraph changes.

Line Editing. What it sounds like. Editing lines line by line so the sentence sounds good and reads well. This is where I'll do the majority of the description editing and sentence restructuring. Making sure the sentence overall just isn't boring.

Typos/Grammar. What it says on the tin.

This worked pretty well for me. The first three fics I used this editing process on were the three fics I wrote for Apex Rarepair Week last year—"Rude Awakening", "Fairy Tales", and "I Got You". And honestly compared to the fics that came before these, I think they were a step up.

Current Editing Process

Sometime last year I got a copy of a Self-Editing book that broke down this process even further for...self-editing lol. There's a LOT of good info in there that I picked up and added to my process and it changed a little. This is what I currently do:

Highlighting Phase. This is where I read through the fic and highlight every line, paragraph, or section that I think needs some work. I also did this in my last process. The highlights are color-coded and correspond to each stage of editing I do. I will also add personal comments here. The comments are usually tied to a highlight and remind me of ideas I have to add, edit, or remove content. Or I just praise myself. Gotta pat yourself on the back too, ya know.

First-Pass Editing. The stages have slightly changed because of the info I got from the book. I'll repeat this stage as many times as it takes, especially if I've made seriously major structure changes (and this is partially why Mafia AU has been taking so long to finish). During this stage I will do Story-level, Scene-level, and Sentence-level editing. I'll describe those below. This is technically broken into three stages as I will only focus on Story or Scene or Sentence level only. Basically I knock out all the Story-level and associated comments first, then Scene, then Sentence.

Second-Pass Editing. This is after the first pass is complete. I will only do Sentence-level editing here. The purpose of this is to further tighten up my sentences after all the structure and story elements are set in stone.

Final Read-Through. The last time I will read the fic. I'll fix any lingering typos and oddities here.

(Optional) Beta Reading. I don't have a dedicated beta reader unfortunately, but my best friend enjoys reading my fics and she's a pretty good critic.

I also changed my editing stages a little:

Story-level. Similar to the previous Developmental stage. Worries about the overall structure of the fic, overall character development growth and change, makes sure the story overall makes sense. Again, this is where I'll make the biggest structural changes to the story.

Scene-level. This is somewhat similar to the previous step because most of my fics are one-shots. But slightly different. Here, I'll worry about scene versus summary (aka showing vs telling), description, pacing, dialogue and character action, etc.

Sentence-level. Basically line editing. I will worry about how well the sentence sounds and feels. Get rid of filtering ("he/she/they feels/sees/hears/touches/etc.) for stronger more visceral actions, fine-tune details, eliminate excessive stage direction (e.g. too much movement description, tho I'm still learning this), get rid of passive voice and ambiguity, and increasing specificity (instead of saying "she watered a plant", you can say "she watered a towering and wilting ficus.").

I can't remember what fic started the new process, but I'm pretty sure it was "Why I'm Here."

And that's about it! I am still in the process of figuring out ways to fine-tune this process and still digesting what aspects of writing I need to improve upon, but it's a process. This takes longer than editing used to, but I genuinely believe it's allowed me to output higher-quality content and stories. Read my first Voidstrike fic from last year compared to the most recent and I promise you you'll see a difference.

"Hello guys! Welcome to our...second channel, should I call it?" Tom turned to you with a chuckle. You gave him a nod and a sweet smile. "This is basically where we post the shorter and more unplanned videos," he elaborated, glancing back at the camera with a soft chuckle.

"Today we're going to be doing a quick Who Is Most Likely To," you explained. "We've got our ping-pong paddles right here with each our name on opposite sides," you added, showing the camera the paddles with Tom doing the same.

"And Harry is right behind the camera to ask the questions," Tom finished, pointing towards Harry to get this game going.

"That's such a bad first question," you scoffed with a shake of your head, lifting up the paddle with your name.

"I mean, she's dating one now," Tom laughed, doing the exact same and showed your name as he wriggled his brows at the camera.

Both of you raised the paddle with Tom's name on it, the lad beside you chuckling with a nod.

"Yeah, I don't think we need to explain this one," he said.

"He's just over dramatic with everything," you pointed out with a playful roll of your eyes.

"No, I'm not!" Tom protested with a loud gasp, the hand that held the paddle landing on his chest as he gawked at you.

"You were saying?" You raised your brow, Tom pouting in response but didn't bother to say another word. You giggled at that, leaning towards him to place a sweet kiss on his cheek that was quick to replace his pout with a bright grin.

Tom showed your name with a soft chuckle, you nodding in agreement as you lifted the paddle up with your name too.

"I'm just so clumsy," you laughed. "I'd probably slip and break my neck in the process so yeah, me."

"You see now why I'm overprotective over your clumsy but pretty ass?" Tom pointed out, narrowing his eyes at you. "I need to wrap you in those human-size bubbles to keep you from harm I swear."

"See what I mean about overdramatic?" you challenged, turning to the camera with a deadpan expression.

"It's just 'cause I love you too much, darling," he crooned, leaning closer to place a tender kiss on your temple. You leaned into his warmth with a soft hum and a love-struck smile on your lips, a sight that only made Tom's heart melt.

"Probably me," Tom chuckled, paddle up to show his name.

You did just the same. "I mean you've already admitted to wanting to rob a bank," you giggled.

"If I have superpowers," he countered.

"But that's still a very stupid thing to admit in public, is it not?" you giggled, Tom sighing softly as he nodded in agreement.

Both of you lifted your paddles up at the same time, your name written on each of it.

"I mean I'm a big crier too but it would take a very emotional scene. But the minute she sees someone else cry, she's gone," Tom explained, turning you with a soft chuckle.

"I don't know why but yeah, every time I see someone else cry, I start crying too," you admitted with a timid laugh.

Tom's arm fell from the couch and landed on your shoulder, giving your arm a loving squeeze as he pulled you closer to his side, keeping it touch there for the rest of the video. "It just means you've got a big heart," he gushed, flashing you one of his many charming grins. You beamed at him lovingly in response, giving him a light pat on the chest as a silent 'thank you'.

"What kind of cry?" Tom asked, turning towards his brother.

You showed Tom's name swiftly with a laugh, him doing just the same with a shaking his head in slight shame.

"It's because I'm too busy sometimes," Tom reasoned, turning to look at you with a pout, finger running up and down your arm softly.

"I don't let that happen by the way," you said as you turned to the camera. "If I need to drag him to the shower then I will."

"Among other things she does to get me in the shower," Tom muttered, mischief glimmering in his orbs as he wriggled his brows at you suggestively.

You could only roll your eyes at him.

The two of you looked at each other, paddles remaining down, smiles on your lips because you both know it was a tie.

"We're both equally romantics," Tom chuckled, giving your arm a squeeze before turning to the camera as he added, "She occasionally gives me flowers out of the blue and it honestly makes my heart soar every damn time."

You laughed with a shrug. "Yeah, because flowers don't have genders you know. A lady can get her man flowers too," you hummed, beaming widely at Tom.

"Damn right." He shot the camera firm look before turning to meet your gaze again. "I love getting flowers from you," he gushed, hand running up and down your arm fondly.

"And I love getting flowers from you too." You tilted your head at him with a bright, loving smile. "And sweets," you giggled.

Who is most likely to initiate sex?

"We both do," Tom chuckled, turning to you, his brows furrowing when you had your paddle up with his name on it.

"More Tom than me but not by much," you explained to the camera with a shrug, the lad chuckling without any protest because it was in fact, true.

Who's most likely to use the other person's toothbrush?

You quickly raised Tom's name with a shake of your head. "Mainly because I would never," you said, glancing over to your boyfriend who had his own name up. You stared at him curiously. "Wait a sec, have you?"

Tom flashed you a guilty smile. "It was an accident," he started. "I thought I grabbed my toothbrush but as soon as I placed it in my mouth I made eye-contact with my actual toothbrush and yeah."

"Tom!" you gasped, smacking his shoulder lightly.

"It's not like my tongue hasn't been in your mouth before!" he defended with a laugh.

"That's different you muppet! You're not shoving your tongue in my mouth to clean it now aren't you?"

"Shoving is a bit harsh," he muttered which only earned a glare from you. "Okay, okay! I'm sorry! But it was an accident I swear," he chuckled, wrapping both his arms around you for a quick hug, a soft kiss landing on top of your head soon after.

All you could do was sigh, Tom letting you go with a chuckle as he sat straighter. "Right, last one," he said.

Who is most likely to give a lap dance?

Tom showed your name with a smirk, glancing at your answer which only made him furrow his brows. "What'd you mean me?" Tom chuckled as he gestured towards your paddle with his name on it.

"Uh, have you seen your umbrella performance?" you said as a matter of fact, turning towards the camera with a grin.

The lad beside you groaned in dismay as he hung his head, earning a laugh from you. Lifting his head back up with a grin, he turned to you with a brow raised in challenge. "But who has actually given one?" Tom countered.

You felt your cheeks heat up at that.

"Yeah, that's right turn that paddle around," he teased, you showing your name with a sigh as you hid your face behind the paddle once again. "I'm a very very lucky guy," he hummed towards the camera, earning an eye-roll from you.

"So, that's it for today! I hope you enjoyed this short-styled video. And we'll see you again next time!"

Once he was sure that the camera was off, Tom was quick to wrap his arms around your torso, snuggling into you with a glimmer in his brown orbs.

"Babe, I don't feel like showering today," Tom whined, pout in full play as he looked at you expectantly.

"What, you want an incentive?" You raised a brow at your man, your fingers combing through his hair adoringly.

"Please?" he cooed, hiding face on the crook of your neck, a hot kiss landing on your skin soon after. "Save some water?"

You can't help but giggle at that, knowing that it wasn't a good point since you mostly spend longer in the shower when you're with him. But either way, his offer does sound very alluring.

"Fine, shower in five minutes."

Since I didn’t want to keep on adding asks and answers to the original post on fan service, seeing as that post is already so long, I thought I’d make a second post since we got two more asks. I intended for the answers to be relatively short, but well, that didn’t quite turn out that way, lol.

From anon: Since you were talking about fanservice. In performances, no doubt those were somewhat fanservice. But do you think those vmin moments we get after BTS was called on stage during award season was also fanservice. Like the moment in your header and others in MMA 2019 Or the hug and lift in MGA 2018 or in SMA 2019?

I don’t think whatever the members do after the announcement is made that they won an award is fan service. That would mean their excitement and happiness is also just a staged thing for our entertainment, which sounds and is quite dehumanizing when you think about it. I think in those moments we simply see their raw reactions and natural interactions, like the times when Tae and Jimin would hug before turning and joining the group hug before they would go on stage together to pick up whichever award they’ve just won.

Some of it is silly, like Jimin trying and failing to pick up Tae, but saying that’s fan service would imply that they decided in advance that they would do that but I doubt Tae would agree to it if he knew Jimin would drop him, lol. It’s simply a glimpse at their happiness and relief, at the members being excited together. Do they still guard their emotions and interactions to some extent? Of course since they are not only on camera but also surrounded by thousands of people in the audience watching them. But their smiles and hugs when going to pick up an award are still all real.

From anon: I saw the shipping war yesterday. So I would like to ask you for a post about the influence of BTS members on how they stand during the interview or who sits next to whom during the video shoot? Who decides who will be paired with whom during the photo session. That's why I ask, because I don't believe that the members choose their partners and common accessories for their clothing themselves. Thank you in advance because it's so annoying.

All that “drama” was sparked by part 2 of Lee Hyun’s YT video in which he takes on the role of being one of the BTS managers and accompanies them to the filming of the Dynamite and Butter performances for SeriusXM. There we see him check out the set, much the way any of the Bangtan managers and security would, and at one point he sits down on the sofa where we see name cards placed around marking who will sit where. Meaning that this isn’t something the members decide on the spot but is something that is decided by someone else.

Why is it like this? I’ve never worked at a set like this but I would say chances are it’s because the filming crew rehearses the performance before the members even arrive on set. I could imagine that random crew members either sit on those spots holding up the name cards, or maybe the name cards themselves are enough, while the music is playing and they plan out how each member will be filmed, what the order is in which they sing, and which members might sing together and be worth showing together. This makes the actual filming easier and quicker, especially for the members themselves. And we still saw that they filmed several takes out of which the final posted performance is edited together. 

What does this mean? Not much, really. Just that ship theories based on x and y sitting together in performances often or insecure asks about why x and y don’t sit together often are both pointless. I wouldn’t quite call this fan service, but surely there are some deciding factors that go into those choices though it means that, since the members don’t care, and they don’t decide this since it doesn’t matter, we shouldn’t really care or make a big deal out of it either. It also means that whoever does decide the seat placement knows that everyone in Bangtan has so much chemistry together that regardless of who will sit next to who, it’ll be great either way.

Besides this isn’t high school where besties want to always sit next to each other and everyone is avoiding the nerds or losers. It’s seven guys who love and respect each other equally, so really, what does it matter if Namjoon sits next to Hobi or Jimin or Yoongi? And sure, am I happy when vmin or namjin sit next to each other during a performance? Obviously. Do I see any kind of indication of the state of their bond in them not sitting together? Obviously not, and now even less.

It’s also similar in photoshoots with someone from the crew deciding who will stand where and more or less what general poses will work best for whichever atmosphere is supposed to be created. We’ve seen it with the jacket sh*oting of MOTS7 for the subunit photos where Jimin talks with JK about how they’ve been in photoshoot subunits for a while now and JK says it’d be nice to shake things up a bit, so it’s a preplanned thing they have no say in really, or in the jacket sh*oting for BTS, THE BEST where a crew member placed Tae between JK and Seokjin. After all BTS are seven members, and just like I said with performances and concerts, if all of them were to just do whatever they want, everything would take an incredibly long time and be needlessly chaotic.

As for accessories, it’s the same case, as in a team of stylists decides who will wear what for whichever performance. Like during the NTV The Music Butter performance where most of the members wore the same bracelets, rings and earrings from Cartier. 

Most likely the stylists, along with the set designers, decide on a theme for an upcoming performance and using that as guide, the stylists buy seven sets of outfits and jewelry that would fit it. Otherwise, if each members stylist would just buy whatever they feel like it, we’d end up with a mess, as in for instance Tae wearing only bright colors, Hobi looking like he’s a goth vampire, Namjoon went back to the 80s and Jimin emerged in something straight out of a dystopian movie.

Edit: As someone rightfully mentioned in the comments, I should’ve mentioned that the members surely have some freedom of input in the outfit choices and the possibility of saying no to certain things if they decidedly don’t like them. Same as with their make up where we know Jimin is very particular about how he wants his to look like. 

Are there sometimes exceptions where some members share some kind of accessories? Sure, like with vmin and the ear muffs during one of the photoshoots for Winter Package, as example. Or now in the preview for the Permission to Dance performance and Butterful Gateaway on NOW where they were those yeehaw cowboy outfits and vmin are the only ones with a single feather earring. Or in 2020 during the Grammys for their Old Town Road performance where Tae and Jimin shared brown and blue contact lenses, which I’ve never seen any of them do before.

* When you break down to why, He didn’t expect your ex to do some shit like that! BUT PLEASE Give HIM A CHANCE because you’ll be surprised!

* Tamaki isn’t the guy you think, he may be shy but with you. It’s absolutely adorable.

* He’s slightly offended you’re precautioned with him but I’m sure he’s going to prove he’s not like them.

* He wants your heart and golly does he prove that.

* Even if you don’t say yes to him, he’s treating you like a princess/prince without overstepping his boundaries.

* He’s your knight in shining amour, that sunshine that glows against your skin.

* He’s destined and determined to love you with every inch of his beating, smiling heart and to build a sense of trust with you.

* Every time you’re around him, you’ll always be smiling.

Weeping Monk x Reader : Playing With Fire      chapter 25

Story Summary:  The Huntsman, that is what they called your brother. A name he had earned by hunting down the fey for coin. Coin that is given by Father Carden for his services. You refuse to stand aside and watch how your brother hunts down those who are fey. When you start to warn the fey camps your brother wishes to attack, you find yourself behind enemy lines. But when the Weeping Monk becomes suspicious of you, you realise you are playing with fire.

Chapter Summary: Nyra guides the three of you to your new home. When she speaks to you in private she mentions something that you also worry about.

The people stared when the three of you walked into the town. The place looked like a village. It looked far better then Mirstone even. All homes were made of stone, some houses were larger then others. It was very diverse. Your eyes went wide when you walked past, what looked like, a pub.

Everyone seemed to be going around doing their normal daily business. This place was untouched by the horrors beyond the rocks. "The houses were here when we arrived. We only restored them a little." Nyra explained "Fey have been living here for centuries. The forest around this place provides us with the means to survive, we even have a river. And the rock formations go around this place, the tunnels are the only entrance.

You had wanted to forget about what you had seen in the tunnels, you still didn't truly understand what you had been through “Nyra, those tunnels, they protect the fey ?”

Nyra stopped in her tracks to look at you, she must have heared that your voice had shaken a little. A second later she looked apologetic “Our kind is safe in those tunnels, but to man-bloods...”

Lancelot and Percival were listening too, none of you had understood what had happened to you.

“What happens to those who aren't fey ?” Lancelot's eyes darted to you for a moment.

Nyra seemed reluctant to answer “The tunnels are there to protect us, but at a cost. Those who are not fey and wander into the tunnels perish if we do not find them quickly.”

Lancelot watched your expression change to a horrified one “The tunnels kill them ?”

Nyra nodded in silence “The tunnels...they sense guilt, fear, pain. They use it against man-bloods, making them go insane. Only those guided by fey are able to pass through them. We found out the hard way when we first came here, we had man-bloods with us, half of them disappeared in the tunnels. We had found five of them hallucinating, and three of them were busy clawing their own eyes out.

You gasped for air, remembering how lost you had felt, how afraid you had been. You took a couple of steps, turning away from them as you hugged your chest. The tunnels had fed on your worst nightmares and memories to drive you insane. You took a couple of deep breaths to calm youself down.

Lancelot watched as you distanced yourself from them to compose yourself. He had no idea what you had seen in those tunnels, but know he was certain that it was nothing good. Percival looked up to him and he nodded to the boy and then tilted his head in your direction.

Percival understood the silent communication and went up to you. The boy was hugging you before  you even realised he was next to you.

Nyra send a sorrowful look at Lancelot “She was affected, wasn't she ?”

He gave a nod and watched as the boy consoled you to the best of his abilities “She was hallucinating when we found her.”

“It's a miracle she isn't still hallucinating now, how did it stop ?” She asked him, knowing that he was unaware that she already knew how the hold of the tunnels can be broken.

He averted his eyes from her and watched as you and the boy approached again “I don't really know. She came to her senses not long after she took my hand.”

He left out he part where you had hugged him, had clinged onto him for dear life.

Nyra hummed and then you and the boy joined them again.

Lancelot was looking at you, knowing that you could have died in those tunnels in such a horrifying way made him feel sick.

Nyra beckoned for you to follow again and the three of you, and Goliath, continued to walk. She finally stopped near a house, it was bigger then your tiny home in Mirstone “This one's yours. It has only two bedchambers I'm afraid. But I'm sure you'll figure it out.”

Her eyes had flickered between you and Lancelot for a second and you sighed, why did everyone assume there was something going on between you and him ? This was getting ridiculous.

Lancelot's eyes snapped to the ground when he had seen Nyra look at you and him like that.

You cleared your throat, wanting to break the silence “Thank you, Nyra. This is very kind of you.”

She smiled and gave a nod “Most of us would not be alive if you hadn't helped us. It's the least we can do for you. I do have to tell you that in this village we must all participate to care for the village. I expect you to come see me everday for a chore to be done. The boy will be expected in the building with the large door over there.”

Nyra pointed to a building nearby “The children must still be taught how to read and write properly. And he'll get to be around people his age.”

You and Lancelot nodded in agreement, it were fair terms.

“Sounds good.” You were grateful that the boy would get a chance for a normal life and education.

“No, it doesn't !” Percival sounded appalled at the idea of having to learn in a room filled with other children.

Lancelot nudged the boy's shoulder, before speaking to Nyra “He'll be there. Thank you. For everything.

The boy cussed under his breath.

You took a step in the direction of the house, curious what it would look like inside when a sharp pain went through your abdomen. You had almost forgotten about the bruises and you buckled over, clutching your stomach.

Their attention shot to you right away, the boy ran up to to support you.

“You're hurt.” Nyra concluded “You should go to the infirmary, let our healer see if they can help.”

You stubbornly shook you're head “It's just bruises. He's hurt far worse then I am.”

Nyra watched as you gestured in Lancelot's direction “I fear our healer will not want to help him, y/n. But they will help you.”

Lancelot saw how you were being stubborn about this and he tried to persuade you “Go with Nyra to the infirmary, y/n. I will be alright. You've already helped me, let them help you now.”

He breathed in relief when you nodded and Nyra walked you in the direction of the infirmary.

Nyra started to speak to you when Lancelot and Percival were out of sight as you walked with her to the infirmary.

"I can't believe that you would actually defend the Weeping Monk. I thought you hated him." A look of disbelieve plastered on Nyra's face as she looked at you.

"Yeah, well. If you had told me that a while ago I wouldn't have believed it either." You snorted.

"Even though your brother was the Huntsman, the fey still accept you after everything you have done for us. But him ? I am not sure they will ever accept him." She sounded as worried as you were about it.

You knew you would have to defend him and explain why he was valuable to the fey "The fey need him. He is an incredible fighter, but he is smart as well. He knows how the paladins work and what information they have on your kind. Your enemy's bravest warrior has abandoned them to help his kind."

"What makes you so certain he will not abandon us as well ?" Nyra looked at you intensly.

It was something you had not considered yet, Lancelot could always leave if he wanted to. A pit formed in your stomach at the thought and doubt formed inside of it but you could not show that to her "He won't."

She looked at you a moment longer before she drew a deep breath "There is truth in your words. He is famous for his... skill. Do you trust him ?"

"I find myself trusting him. And I trust that he has no bad intentions towards you or your people." At least that you believed. But you were still getting to know the man who was once the Weeping Monk, you were not sure if he would not just disappear one day. That he would just leave and not come back. You knew he didn't want to harm someone, but that didn't mean that he would actually stick around. He was struggling with his fey heritage and this might just become too much for him one day.

He was raised around man-blood, not fey kind.

Nyra stopped you in front of a small house “I hope you're right. Here lives our healer.”

She gestured to the door and knocked. Soon the door was opened and you were greated by an older man with a big beard.

Nyra gave him a quick explanation before leaving you alone with the healer.
