A white fox sees a shooting star streak across the night sky. Curiosity piqued by such a rare event, she gives chase, diving over rushing waters to catch this glowing treasure between her paws. It is beautiful and warm, invoking feelings of inner peace.

The Star signals an upcoming period of hope, inspiration, and tranquility, especially after experiencing hardship. For my card I chose a color-mutated fox – exemplifying their endurance for survival – to encounter a fantastic blessing from the universe. Reversed, this card represents hopelessness and despair for an opportunity missed.

I recently contributed to a tarot deck project called Loaf Tarot! It’s a full deck of all cute animal tarot cards by something like 70 different artists?? It’s super cute and the Kickstarter was successful enough that it ended up getting all the bells and whistles, like holo foil everywhere and a lovely magnetic deck box.

Anyway! This is the final art I contributed, as well as my initial concept sketches. My card is a quokka for the Page of Wands! The happy little quokka is perfect for such an optimistic card, I think. We went with the most colourful concept and man these colours really pop... Super different from my usual palette!

I’m so excited to have the deck on my table at conventions and for the KS backers who helped us make it to get their decks in the mail.

I’ve been so honored to be a part of this project - This 74 artist collab is the most fun deck I’ve ever seen and every card is unique and utterly charming. I did card #4, the Emperor!

Also when you fan all the cards out they each have a focus color so they make a rainbow and it doesn’t get any better than that. 🌈

Making my first wheat loaf and idk why I never thought to proof my dough over the oven while it's preheating. That would've been so smart and cool and sexy of me I think. My loaf is twice the size they usually get I am going to make a good grade in bread.

Bumblebees are hard workers, flying from flower to flower, and looking cute while doing it. While they might not produce honey like honeybees, they are an important part of our ecosystem.

The Ten of Wands represents hard work, achievement and responsibility. This perfectly describes bumblebees as they’re important pollinators, working really hard during the short time they’re alive. The reverse meaning of the card is carrying the burden, stress, and failure to delegate. This symbolises the strain our pollinators are under, as they’re not as numerous as they should be; the lack of pollinators is threatening our diverse flora and food production.
