Lex Luthor (Smallville)- Chapter 1
Lex had been through so many ordeals in Smallville.
At some point it had become almost routine to wake up in a hospital bed. That’s why he wasn’t surprised this time when he looked up at the familiar ceiling. The smell of sterilizers was rough. But as normal as his life could get he supposed.
“Mr. Luthor.”
A doctor walked into the room, relief written on the man’s face.
“You’re lucky to be awake. With the wounds you had, it’s a miracle you didn’t remain in a coma. I was certain after yesterday we’d lost you again.”
“Coma.”
Another common occurrence. How many times had he heard those words?
“What happened?”
The doctor suddenly looked pretty solemn.
“I see your amnesia hasn’t improved."
“I remember who I am. Where I am. This is Smallville isn’t it.”
“Correct, but what else do you remember?”
“Apparently I was in some kind of accident.”
“What about your friends, family?”
“If you’re referring to my shell of a father, I don’t think there is much I should hope for.”
The doctor took notes, but said nothing.
“Mr. Sullivan came by earlier to check on you. He seemed genuinely worried. So did Mr. Lang.”
Lex’s body froze.
“Mr. Lang…are you saying they survived the meteor shower?”
Said doctor’s eyes widened.
“Incredible, you remember the meteor shower, yet your memories of your friends are scrambled.”
This was making very little sense to him. Last time he checked Chloe’s father had moved away, and Mr. Lang had died when Lana was just a child.
“LEX!!”
The scream from around the corner caught his attention. Someone raced over, yanking the door open as they bolted in.
“Ms. Kent, you need to stay outside. Mr. Luthor hasn't fully recovered yet.”
Lex’s eyes drifted over in the direction of the person now standing before him. At this point he was convinced his mind was playing tricks on him. Because this wasn’t Clark Kent.
For one, you were female. He could have been wrong, but you looked like an exact replica of Clark, if he had breasts and slender hips.
“Who…Who are you?”
He couldn’t help but ask. Because nothing was adding up. The crestfallen look took him by surprise. He couldn’t remember the last time someone had looked so defeated of the prospect of him not recognizing him.
“Lex..it’s me..(Y/N) Kent. I’m your friend.”
It was decided.
He might have officially lost his mind.

Active between December 17 and 26, the Ursids shower will peak on December 22 and 23. The meteors are characterised by being sparse. At the peak between midnight and dawn, there will be upwards of 10 meteors an hour. This shower is associated with comet 8P/Tuttle, being from a stream of debris left by the comet. Geminid Meteor Shower
With it being clear for a couple of days here I was able to get out and try to record some meteors as part of the Geminid. While I saw one every few minutes, I was only able to capture three or four.
Orion lies between the two trees near the top of the frame; that's Sirius directly below. In between, and a bit to the left, is a meteor streaking by. We're looking pretty much due east. Gemini is the next constellation toward the left: that's the area in the sky from which the meteors appear to originate (hence the name).
Here's a couple more I saw previous to the one above:
I took these near Traverse City, Michigan; the body of water is Grand Traverse Bay East Arm. Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, near Acme, Michigan, can be seen on the horizon below the meteor.

Lex Luthor- Oneshot (Smallville)
Waking up with a pounding headache was not how you saw your Saturday evening going. Neither was being tied to a chair.
"I can't believe it. Lex Luthor. I never thought this would actually happen." The female voice is the first thing that caught your attention. It all seems to rush back to you. Lex was bound in quite the same way as you. You both were seated back to back, and you pulled at the restraint at your wrists.
"Let me go...YOU HAVE TO LET ME GO RIGHT NOW!!" " You scream. The teen frowned, walking over to you as she smacked you across the face. Your head whipped to the side and Lex began to struggle.
"Leave her alone!!"
"She ruined everything!! It was just supposed to be the two of us. "
Now it made sense.
Lauri Giger was known for being a bit obsessive. You'd heard stories around school about her past relationships. For the most part you thought it was all a rumor. You'd merely been doing a school project at the talon much like every other teenager. You'd only stepped out to take a call when you caught some suspicious activity at the side of the building. So you decided to investigate. When you rounded the corner there was one unconscious billionaire on the ground. Before you could even dial a number you'd been struck from behind.
Your head hung low.
"Whatever you want, just let her go. I'll give you what you want."
"You'll give me what I want?" Lauri sounded delusional, but Lex felt like it was the only leverage he had. He glanced to the side at you. Your head was still lowered, and he began to worry that the previous blow doubled with this past one must have caused more damage than expected. That theory disappeared when your head was raised. Lex couldn't properly view your face, but when the ropes at your wrist snapped with one willful tug, Lauri panicked.
"W-What the hell!" She stumbled back, and when Lex finally had you in his sights, he was shocked at the blank look on your face. Your wrists were bruised from the ropes, but you didn't look scared, or hurt, or even angry. Your face was completely neutral. Lauri looked anything but pleased, and when she picked up a piece of wood from the abandoned area and lifted it to strike you, Lex was shocked at the way it split in half upon collision.
Lauri tried to make a run for it, but you grabbed her by the throat and she was lifted right off the ground. Lex could barely believe what he was seeing. Just a second ago you were trapped just like him. Now you were displaying strength that was anything but human.
Lauri was gasping, and it seemed to snap Lex back into reality.
"You need to stop!"
There was no response. He was worried. As far as this went, you were defending yourself. He knew next to nothing about you, but he could tell from the earlier encounter that you weren't a killer. You were just scared.
"Please..let her go.." He pleaded.
He wasn't sure how, but that seems to get through to you. You blink, and your hand opens as you stagger backwards. Lauri's body drops to the floor. Coughing heavily. Lex can see the fear in your eyes. Topped with confusion. You seem to move in autopilot, because you run over in his direction pulling at the ropes around his wrists as you glance behind to ensure she's still down. You don't look him in the eye, not at all.
There was a lot that needed an explanation, but right now, calling the authorities was priority.

"All your vitals seem alright. We'll need to take you in to see about those bruises, but you're fine." You nod at the paramedic.
"Thank you."
The small abandoned house had been surrounded with cops in record time after Lex made the call. He was in an ambulance next to you being surveyed. You did your best to keep your distance. When they'd taken Lauri away, she appeared terrified of you. The second she's seen you they had to restrain her just to get her into the car. It was a bit ironic, she was the one who took the both of you, yet you felt like the monster.
You glimpsed Lex heading your way from the corner of your eye and you became a bit frantic.
"C-Can we please get to the hospital!"
The paramedic was a bit confused by your sudden urgency, but didn't question it. Guiding your parents behind you. Lex watched as the doors closed in front of him. Your eyes met through the glass, and you lowered your gaze.
For the better part of that month, you gained some kind of annoying popularity. An article was posted in the paper and of course they blew it way out of proportion. There was a rumor circulating that you were secretly a gang leader. Others said that you had gone full jet li on Lauri. It was just one thing after the other. It had gotten to the point where you started wearing baseball caps whenever you were in an area populated by teens. You enjoyed hanging out in the talon, and you didn't want to have to compromise because of stupid curiosity. Hopefully something else interesting would pop up in Smallville to distract them. You leaned into your chair with a heavy sigh, sipping at your drink.
"Room for one more?"
Hurriedly putting your drink down you adjusted your cap.
"I-I was just about to leave." You began gathering your books.
"But you just got your drink Ms. (L/N)." Your eyes lift, and to your dismay, there he was. Lex Luthor. The last person you wanted to see.
"You're a hard person to track down."
You swallowed, not saying a word. Lex could see how your entire body tensed. He didn't blame you.
"I was hoping we could take a walk to discuss what happened that day."
"I don't think that's a good idea." You objected.
Lex merely smirked.
"Well, if not me, I'm sure some of your schoolmates would be thrilled to have the whole story."
You stared at him in disbelief.
"Are you trying to blackmail me!"
"Call it tactful encouragement."
Your frown deepened, and you shoved your books in your bag. It's obvious he's realized that you were hiding out at the back. When you stood, Lex took a step to the side.
"After you."
With a grumble, you made your way outside, and Lex followed with a smile. The both of you walked in step, heading in the direction of the park he noted. A smart choice. You wanted a secluded place where you could discuss without prying eyes. Your steps slowed when you got to the basketball court that looked empty. You took a seat on the benches on the side, removing your cap as you ran a hand through your hair.
"It must be exhausting being undercover all the time."
You glared.
"This must be some kind of game for you huh. Tormenting me!" You were pissed, and Lex understood at that moment that maybe teasing you about the situation wasn't the right approach.
"I'm sorry. I was being insensitive."
You still looked relatively angry.
"It must be so easy being rich. The ability to get people to forget whatever you wanted them to." There was a weight to those words.
"Like abilities people can't explain." Your fists tightened at your side.
"I'm not here to report you to anyone, or accuse you of anything. If you hadn't gone hulk we both could have died."
"But I could have killed her just the same." Lex's eyes narrowed. He'd been under that impression that you weren't conscious during the encounter.
"You remember what happened?"
"I..It's hard to explain. "
You had no idea why you were telling Lex Luthor of all people, but as it stood, he was the only one aware of this problem.
"It's a type of disassociation." You explain.
Now he's invested.
"I was out with my parents when the meteor shower hit. The first thing I heard was the screaming, then everyone was just running around. I was so young I-I couldn't move. I just froze and it crashed so close to me. I saw the fire, the rocks, the debris...the blood." Your hands are shaking.
"I woke up a week later in the hospital with some bandages on my head and a miraculous recovery. Doctors said I was fine, but I wasn't. " The tremors in your hand stopped almost abruptly.
"Whenever I panic, or I experience fear, I black out. The first time I did it, I knocked my sixth grade bully unconscious. Since that day I've done everything to keep myself calm. Yoga, pilates, meditation. I can't afford to lose my temper or blow a fuse.
Lex could fully understand your fear. Your need to get out when you were both held made a little sense now. He'd been so sure you were pleading because of the situation, but you were terrified of what you could have done.
"No one will ever hear about this, not from me." You turn to Lex, and he places a hand on your shoulder. You aren't sure why. Maybe it's because you both have been in that situation. But the gesture does offer some comfort.
"You'll need a better disguise if you want to remain incognito though."
You groan, rolling your eyes. Lex merely laughs.
