Nintendo: go ahead and design the miner's set. The Depths are super freaky so go for those vibes.
Designers: super freaky, you say?

Ryoko Kui does the exact opposite of neglecting minor characters where in bonus stuff she'll include characters who showed up in like one chapter and died decades ago
and as a certified minor characters fan I respect her for it

Every outfit that got a vote in the poll I did a while back for That Broken Promise Hateno! This was very fun to do and helped a lot getting a grip on what I wanted his face to look like.
Character musings, and some more details about his arm loss (including a sketched prosthetic breakdown with some of his other scars) under the cut.
The black arm cover is part of what's used as the "contact" for the construct arm he uses as his main prosthetic. He actually has three total: a Sheikah arm, this one, and a faster construct arm that drains battery at a significantly higher rate but has better response time.
For the most part, Hateno uses his prosthetic about half the time. It's not a perfect replacement; he's left-hand dominant for everything now, rather than ambidextrous/mixed dominant like he was before. This is both because the prosthetic has somewhat reduced responsiveness, and for comfort because he copes with severe phantom pain which can be triggered by something jarring his remaining limb... Like by something hitting a prosthetic. He just also still struggles with feeling helpless without it.
I have part of the fic published about how I write him losing the arm Later chapters will be his process of both getting the construct arm and coping with that not being the magical solution he wants.
(I do not have any limb differences myself; this is from my research into people's lived experiences with it, and their feelings about it's depictions in media.)

Defend Victimised Miners (1985)
After the end of the 1984-5 Miners Strike, the National Coal Board systematically sacked miners known for being activists and militants of the National Union of Mineworkers. Often the justification for dismissals were arrests and accusations of violence and intimidation. After these accusations fell apart in court, the NCB still upheld the dismissals. In total, 994 miners were sacked over the course of the strike, and many more after.
This video, produced by the NUM as part of their campaign for dismissed miners, lets victimised strikers speak for themselves about how the Thatcher government systematically used the police and law courts to break the strike and the impact these actions have had on their lives. It details how false accusations against NUM activists ruined lives. It also goes into the policing operation behind the Battle of Orgreave, and includes very rare footage taken by police from behind their lines.
You still see the South Yorkshire Miners’ Victimisation Campaign featured in the films out and about on demonstrations in Sheffield, here it is outside the city hall:
You can find part two here. You can find more about the ongoing campaigns for justice for miners here and here.
