ALRIGHT!I JUST WATCHED THE MIRACULOUS MOVIE AND I HAVE THOUGHTS! There will be spoilers ahead, so tread carefully

A list, in no particular order, just how they pop up in my head:

The animation was STUNNING! Just, props to the animators, I enjoyed the movie visually SO MUCH! From the use of colours and lighting, to the way they used all of that to upgrade the characters: it was absolute perfection. (though some of those close up shots of Hawkmoth were A Lot. But that was probably the point)

The absolute chaotic energy that both Tikki and Plagg (but mostly Tikki, cuz unfortunately. there wasn't a whole lot of Plagg, which I understand due to time, even if it is sad) is FANTASTIC! I adore Chaotic Tikki so much. She has my whole heart! That little scene of Tikki pushing Marinette's hand to Adrien's? Lovely. Tikki explaining absolutely nothing to Marinette when they first meet? Perfection. Just. Give me more Chaotic Tikki, please!

The soundtrack? WONDERFUL! I kinda knew it was a musical, I think, but I completely forgot, so when Marinette sang those first few notes, I had to catch up a lil, but DAMN I was excited! (sad we didn't get Ce Mur Qui Nous Separe (I don't know the english name oops), but it was still fun!)

On that note: Adrian having the most Disney Princess I Want song in the movie is just perfect. No other words needed. Best choice they could have made there.

ALSO on that note: Marinette's singing voice? BEAUTIFUL! It fits so well! I just couldn't help but enjoy her songs, if only for that.

BUT I didn't have to, because the music itself, without the lyrics was just so well done!

Slightly less good: The hawkmoth song was missing some flavor, in my opinion. It started out, and I was EXCITED cuz it started so HARD and then it didn'treally deliver, I think. It kind of kept in the same range and didn't really go up, ya know?

I really REALLY liked Marinette and Chloe's relationship. The way Marinette fired shots back at Chloe, and they actually seemed to be becoming more frennemies? Amazing. I wish we would've gotten more of that in the tv show, considering earlier seasons Chloe and her character developpement, but I really enjoyed it here, in the movie

I'm happy we got to see Gabriel and Adrian actually confronting each other. Both Adrian standing up to his dad (although the timing was a little off, more on that later), AND Gabriel finding out his son is Chat Noir and the resulting Crisis. At least there was some emotional pay off there! (looking at you, season 5 finale)

NOW on the timing thing: There just wasn't enough time. I understand that they wanted to do the superhero origin story for people who aren't familiar with the show but do go to see the movie, but I feel like they just didn't have the necessary time to create the emotional tension needed for the end scene to actually hit as hard as it could have. We got to see a hint of Adrian and Gabriel's relationship, and what was shown was great! But if we had gotten a little more of that perspective and tension, it would've felt better to watch Adrian stand up to Gabe and his parenting skills. And consequently, enjoyed more of the end scene with them figuring out each others identities. Genuinely, I was happy we got at least some pay off there, but it felt too easy. (which again, makes sense due to the limited time, but I feel like they should have made choice: either the Big End Fight with Hawkmoth, OR the Origin Story. And since they did kind of set up a possible sequel, I feel like the choice could have been made)

With the feeling of too easy: I had the same feeling of Marinette and her finding confidence in herself and Ladybug AT THE END! The sudden change during the montage, I liked and felt like it made sens, since we then, during the big battle, get Marinette's insecurities over only being confident when she's Ladybug and all that. That is wonderful and so in line with the core of who Marinette is as character, no matter what version of her we get, that I love it very much. I would have enjoyed a liiiiitle more time with the Angst, but it's allright!

MOSTLY CUZ: that scene where she's dragging Cat Noir's unconcious body onto the debris of the Eiffel Tower, and she goes 'Don't. Touch. Him.' through tears and with a broken voice? AMAZING! When I tell you I Went FERAL! My children! absolutely STUNNING

The actual fight of the end battle? Marinette surrounded by flame and a Paris that is falling apart? Ladybug in Hell, essentially? GORGEOUS! Cat Noir running up the Eiffel Tower to fight Hawkmoth? Stunning! The Eiffel Tower slowly collapsing, as Ladybug watches and cannot Do Anything to stop it? HEARTWRENCHING!

Marinette revealing herself to Adrian at the ball? AMAZING SCENE! (although i laughed and had to utter 'Real Subtle, Marinette' when I saw the ladybug wings on the back of the dress, which was, againg, stunning). The way the scene was framed like the rejection scene? WONDERFUL!

The glitter on Chat Noir's mask? I loved it! Such a fun little detail we don't get in the show!

Did not like the Plagg farting scene. Just. No thanks. It's cheap comedy and that runtime could have been spent better, with a better characterisation of PLagg and his relationship with Adrian. But whatever, it's fine.

THE LADYNOIR CONTENT AND BICKERING! JUST FANTASTIC! ladynoir stans got FED this movie, and I am HERE FOR IT!

So yeah, that was an incomplete list of my thoughts on the movie! Overall I really enjoyed it! I really liked this version of the characters and their relationships. They feel a lot more genuine and real in comparison to the tv show, in some ways. I had so much fun watching it, and will probably go a second time, to see how it'll feel like on a rewatch. And just to enjoy the vibes. I do hope we get a sequel, because I am Curious. And would love more Natalie content.

More Mood Board Madness

The three bingos I co-mod, @marvelrarepairbingo, @scottsummersbingo, and @scoganbingo, are running the Mood Board Madness game again, this time all with the lists of prompts to choose from. I still want to do more for all three, and still need to do at least one for Scogan, but here are the ones for the Scott Summers Bingo and the Marvel Rare Pair Bingo.

I got a little carried away on the concept write-up, so I had to save it as an image in order to post it to the MRP Discord, so here it is. Definitely will become a fic on this one at some point. Because I don't have enough WIPs, yanno? For the Mood Board Madness prompts: Horror Movie and Hallmark Romance. (I know what I said.)

Concept: James Barnes, drafted into the Army at 25 to fight in a war he had no desire to contribute to, found himself going from private to sergeant not long after setting foot in Viet Nam. He was set to lead a 'special battalion', given so-called special tasks in the darker, unmapped jungles. Like his men, he never understood what made them so special - nobody grunts who hadn't finished (or even gone) to college, made it through high school by the skin of their teeth, and none claiming any sweethearts back home. James only had his mom, sister Becky, and his best friend Steve, who'd wanted so badly to enlist, but due to health issues and him being a straight A student in college, he didn't have to worry about serving at all.

They'd been given all their usual inoculations and some the Army said hadn't even been introduced to the populace as they were specific to protect them from the unknown diseases lying in wait where they were being sent to. The battalion, self-named the Howling Commandos, saw some of the nastiest battles of the war, many of them coming at them in the dead of night. The men were ferocious in battle, never losing, even tearing the enemy limb from limb. They awoke amid bodies that looked as if wild animals had torn into them with their teeth. The longer they were in those jungles, the more vicious they became until one morning, James woke up with only two other survivors from his battalion, and they couldn't remember what happened. After they were sent home, only flashbacks awaited them. After a year of those flashbacks, James was left the sole survivor as Dum Dum and Jim Morita couldn't live with the memories of what they'd done. Of who they ate. James hated those memories, but he dug his heels in, learned to live with what the Army had turned him into with their "inoculations," and decided he didn't mind the taste of human flesh.

It made dating difficult, however, over the years. Not many women or men would've been too happy to learn they were falling in love with a cannibal. Even if James stuck to eating the worst of the worst of society, dining on humans didn't exactly make him boyfriend material. He was grateful when the internet was invented, especially the chat rooms - especially especially the type to draw the darker souls in, the ones he could share his deepest, darkest secret, the one he'd never even been able to stell Stevie about.

It took a year, year and a half, but he met him. The stranger who only called himself Loki, like the Norse Trickster god. He'd spoken up only after James had tossed out a question that most others had taken as a joke - "What do I do with all the blood?" To James' surprise, Loki had the perfect solution to his actual problem.

Loki was a vampire.

It wasn't long before they were speaking in private chat rooms, just the two of them. Sharing jokes, Loki trading recipes for the cannibal's kitchen in exchange for new places to hunt. Okay, so maybe at first, James thought Loki was full of shit - one of those Anne Rice wannabe vampire nutjobs who dressed in goth clothes all the time, pretending to drink blood out of wine glasses, but he never wanted to call the guy out on it in case Loki slapped back by calling him Hannibal in a less than affectionate way.

And then they met face to face. James suggested it first, and after some gentle coaxing (maybe a little begging - what? James was desperate for anyone who could understand him, and for all he adored his best friend, Steve had enough going on in his life with his art showings and taking care of his sick Ma to have to deal with his fucked up monster of a friend), Loki agreed. They met at an all-night diner tucked away in an old Brooklyn neighborhood. When James saw Loki sitting in the booth near the window, he had to smile - he definitely looked like the vampire sort - long dark hair and striking light green eyes, skin the color of the palest coffee milk, an imported Turkish cigarette dangling from his lips. Well, he either looked like a vampire or a musician, though James was pretty sure they weren't mutually exclusive. He sat down, ordered coffee and a steak - bloody rare - and took note that Loki was only drinking coffee with a glass of water next to it. They hit it off right away, and if nothing else, James thought it'd be nice to have a weird and dark-minded new friend to hang out with, though damn the guy was hot, and he'd love to fall in love. He'd love to have someone to fall in love with who'd at least understand that maybe he just had a dark sense of humor about eating people. James glanced out the window at the people walking by on the street, and noticed -

Loki didn't have a reflection.

It's 2024. James and Loki have been together all this time. After going out for two years, they finally moved in together. James went to school to become a chef, and Loki could easily bankroll a posh apartment in Manhattan, though they sprung for an old brownstone that gave them all the room they required for their dietary needs. James never had to worry about what to do with all that blood anymore, and in fact, he might've come up with one or two creative ways to feed it to his boyfriend.

Miscellaneous Tag Game (pt. ii)

A childhood memory that you remember vividly:

When I was younger, my sisters and I would put aside time every night to play blind man's bluff with my dad in my parents' room. Every night, we would choose a different person to be the blind man, and the rest of us would have either 3, 5, or 10 lives (depends on how tired my dad was that day). It didn't matter what our mood was before, after we played blind man's bluff, we were all happy and giggling. I loved those moments and I still smile at the memories.

Least favorite animal and why:

Flies and mosquitoes. THEY'RE SO ANNOYING. THE WAY THEY BUZZ BESIDE YOUR EARS AND LAND ON YOUR FOOD AND BITE YOU. Ugh I hate them so much.

Do you wear any jewelry, if so, what’s your favorite piece:

I rarely ever wear jewellery except for a necklace my mum had made when I was a baby. It's in the shape of a heart and has my name engraved on it. My mum and my sisters all have one of their own.

Besides that, I used to have two pairs of clip on earrings that I absolutely adored. My grandpa banned my sisters and I from ever having piercings, but I've always wanted earrings, so my mum got me those clip on ones. Sadly, I lost both of them a few months ago.

A movie others liked but you didn’t:

I don't know, maybe the new animated Super Mario Brothers movie? I fell asleep half way through it. Though, that could probably be because I was just too tired.

Three things you love about yourself:

- my hair. It has a few different shades of brown with some copper and gold strands mixed in. I have my mum's genetics to thank for that

- my ability to memorise things (very handy in exams)

- my eyes

A place you hope to visit in the future and why:

Italy. It's always been on my bucket list to visit Italy. It just looks like such a beautiful country

An actor that gets on your nerves and why:

There isn't any, really. I don't know much about celebrities lives because I don't actually care, and I think they should have their own privacy.

Things you’re excited for in the nearby future?

Celebrating Chinese new year with my family!

Least favorite ship in a fandom you’re in:

Thor/Loki from the Marvel fandom. Like, come on, they're siblings. Adopted siblings, but still!

What’s the most toxic fandom you’ve been in?

All the fandoms I've been in haven't been very toxic. But then again, the HBOWar fandom is the only one I've really interacted much with.

List three things you find beautiful about life:

- being able to watch the sky. The clouds, the stars, the moon. They're all so nice to look at.

- spending time with the people I love. Whether it's my family or my friends, I appreciate all the little things we do together

- playing with my pet dogs. I love seeing them so happy and excited when I play fetch with them

Any dreams for the future?

I hope to one day become a sucessful veterinarian who ensures long happy lives of pets, with enough income to support my family.

How are you really feeling today?

Honestly, not too good. I was tired the whole day and I'm down with a cold. Oh well, at least tomorrow is a holiday for me so I can rest up.

And round 2 is officially over!

It was very intense! Some of you wanted to (lovingly) hit me with something, but jokes on you because that only makes me stronger 😈

We had some real sweeps. Not whatever you call when your fav is losing, but actual bona fide sweeps. Congratulations to Howl's moving castle, A Goofy Movie, The Breadwinner and Wolf Children for obliterating their opponent. But specially to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, biggest sweep and most votes! *insert the evil has been defeated.jpeg*

We also had not one, but two ties! Kung Fu Panda vs Treasure Planet and The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie vs Turning Red! All get to advance to next round, wohooo! And we had so many almost ties! I feel specially bad for the Lego movie which was slightly ahead when I checked an hour before closing time, but the fervor of mutant turtles fans is nothing to be scoffed at. Encanto, Tangled, Birdboy, Meet the Robinsons, Isle of Dogs and ParaNorman were also so close to making it! My biggest condolences to their fans 🙏

The Captain Underpants fandom, who managed to defeat another dog movie, entertained me a lot again, so I decided to bump the movie in my watch list and put it on top, see what all that love is about.

Speaking of watch lists, last time I promised I'd watch some movies, and I did! Here's some quick impressions of each:

The Congress: It was interesting. A bit too long for my tastes, specially at the beginning. Some things were a little too vague, I think. Can't help thinking not even animators would be needed with "AI". Reminded me of a sci fi story I read many many years ago and spent an hour looking for it. It was The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect, very similar concepts, go read it.

Waltz with Bashir: Another Ari Folman. The animation felt a bit too video game-esque to me at first, but you get used to it easily. This one is a documentary about the director's experiences in the Lebanon War, trying to find out his role in the 1982 Beirut Massacre. It's an exploration of memory and guilt and trauma. It's not easy to watch and it contains real graphic footage at the end. But if you can stomach that, go watch it.

The Fabulous Baron Munchausen: Available in the Internet Archive, which is lucky because I couldn't find it anywhere else. I guess it's not bad it lost because I'm not sure I could qualify this as animated.* I couldn't really get into the story, but the way it was filmed makes it a beautiful feast for the eyes.

Finally, you guys asked for a sideways map tree, also known as bracket, so now that we're down to 64(ish) movies I'll keep my promise and make it. That said, I expect to take a couple of days to organize everything and set up the polls, so we'll have a brief intermission. In the meantime, go watch some amazing animation shorts over at @best-animated-short-tourney

*which does bring to question about what is or isn't an animated movie. We agreed Roger Rabbit could qualify, and of course CGI is a form of animation.... could it then be argued movies like Avatar (the blue ones) that rely heavily on CGI are animated? The film literally only has two shots with no CGI! Or the Disney "live action" remakes that are basically just CGI? Food for thought I guess.

2023 AO3 Wrapped!

I had a lot of fun tracking my fic reading in 2022, so... I did it again in 2023! Still fun, still both completely unsurprising and a little illuminating at the same time. I definitely read less fic this past year—only 77 across 12 fandoms, compared to last year's 110—but that's OK. Life happens, and I'm very aware that I'm never going to be a person who reads a million words per month (or 100 books a year). Stats-wise, I can't guarantee that these numbers are completely accurate, but they feel right and that's what counts.

Word Count

971,646 words! Numbers fluctuated throughout the year with one real dead zone (lol @ June - I was busy! sibling got married! played a lot of Zelda!), and I kind of petered out by the end of the year. On the plus side, my brain can handle reading actual books again, which was fun. On the minus side: less fic. Oh well. (Also: May's number isn't entirely accurate, but I had to put rubicon's final word count somewhere. No, I haven't finished reading the complete edited fic yet, but that's when the last chapter draft hit my inbox, soooo there.) Most fics were on the shorter side, unsurprisingly (average length was ~12k); I think rubicon was the only one over 100k. I did read more 50–100k fic compared to last year though, which was nice.

(Putting the rest behind a cut. Obligatory warning that this is mostly about Fire Emblem, but what else is new?)

Top Fandoms

My FE3H reading took a HUGE hit this year, falling from 87.3% to... 83.1%. Ouch, how will my faves recover. Really though, this was yet another reminder that although I certainly watched and loved a lot of new movies and tv shows, read new books, played new video games (ok, it was mostly BOTW/TOTK), all things that could conceivably lead me to check out greener pastures, I am still in an extremely monofandom phase in terms of actual fic reading/fandom participation (four years now!). And honestly, I'm fine with that! I'm having fun, blorbos are still my blorbos, there's still a ton of fic I haven't read yet (new and old), and I'm in a nice/quiet/drama-free corner of fandom. Besides, the average fandom lifespan is too short these days anyway. I'm doing my part to break the cycle. :P

I do wish I had the brain space to read a little more widely, though. I was so close to going on a zelink bender after I finished BOTW, but life got busy and it just... didn't happen. Maybe in 2024. Severance and fandom juggernaut SoftBank Next 30-Year Vision tried their best—two fics each! impressive, lol—but the heart wants what it wants, and what it wants is anime chess pieces kissing (and/or killing) each other.

Top Authors

56 individual authors, with the top spot going to...desmodus! which does not surprise me tbh; they write such good fic. Looking at these particular results was an interesting reminder that I'm really not someone who methodically/voraciously reads through an author's entire back catalogue, at least not currently. Like, besides the named authors, there were four more with two fics each and the rest had only one each. Next time, I'm almost tempted to see if I can factor in word count to get a better idea of how much time I really spent reading each author, especially since I might (hypothetically) read multiple forgettable 1–5k fics by Author A, and then a single memorable/meaty 95k fic by Author B that sticks with me for years. Is Author A really more of a "top" author? Not really. That's more work on my part though, so we'll see what happens. (All of this waffling could be solved by making an actual rec list for once, but shhhhh.)

Top Pairings

Surprising absolutely no one, I'm still in sylvix hell. Congrats to None for jumping a couple spots in the rankings, though! A solid showing. I need to get better at tracking platonic relationships, but to be fair, those tags are underutilized on AO3 to begin with (or not used consistently), and I typically—but not always—stick with the main tags chosen by the author.

Also, please note that the ship in sixth place was entirely thanks to alphabetical sorting (it was a six-way tie), but I'm keeping it as is because it makes me laugh/implies some sort of character growth on my part that may or may not exist.

Top Characters

Lol. In my defense(?), Sylvain did drop almost three whole points this year; he couldn't even hit 60%! What kind of blorbo...?! Jokes aside, it's an entirely expected list. My Blue Lions/Golden Deer bias persists, but I'm not sure what determined when I logged "Blue Lions Students" vs. their actual names—probably half laziness, half just following what the author picked. I did love seeing Ask A Manager's Allison Green chilling at the bottom of this list with Bakugo, though. I'm sure she'll be fine. (And god knows Mr. King Explosion Murder and the rest of my top 20 could stand to follow her advice.)

(Also: apologies to Lorenz Hellman Gloucester, as I see his illustrious surname was cut off accidentally. Forgive me.)

Ratings, Categories, etc.

Also pretty unsurprising! I considered cutting my NSFW tracker at the beginning of last year since it's a little redundant, but that never happened. It might come in handy one day, especially if I'm looking through my spreadsheet for individualized recs. I was surprised that the Multi category was so low, but that could be due to inconsistencies in how people tag their fic? And/or how I logged them. Sometimes it means poly, but sometimes it just means that there are multiple kinds of ships in a fic. Either way, it's something to consider for 2024's tracker. Consistency! Let's strive for it! ✨

Tags & Tropes

Also about what I expected, though I was honestly shocked to see Established Relationship ranking so high? And Friends to Lovers so low? What is going ON here. (The former is probably partially due to mikey desmodus's excellent married sylvix fics.) Sorry to Horse Feelings, though; I made a dedicated tag on my google form and everything, but there was only the one fic in the end :(

Etc: Commenting, Rereading, Reccing, and Bookmarks

Commenting: My only real fic-reading "goal" in 2023 was to get my commenting percentage up to at least 50% and...I did that! Just barely, but 51.9% is 51.9%. Obsessive media tracking works!

Rereads: As expected, and pretty in line with last year (with a tiny increase). I'm just not a big rereader in general, though I did do a fair bit of rereading WIPs to prepare for new chapters. (Not sure how I classified those, come to think of it...)

Bookmarks: Also pretty similar to last year (with a tiny decrease).

Reccing: Now this DID surprise me. That "Yes" percentage seems almost absurdly high, jumping from 46.4% to 61%, and my "No"s dropped a ton too (22.7% to 5.2%). Either I got nicer or I just read better fic. :P Leaning towards the former, but probably a bit of both tbh. My one DNF was a longfic WIP that didn't spark joy and was becoming a hateread, which is rare for me - byeeeee.

Takeaways

By now my tracking form has become part of my fic-reading routine (read - track - comment/etc), and I can't see that changing any time soon. Obviously not everyone wants to (or should!) engage with fic this way, and I can definitely see how it might suck the joy out of reading for some people, but for me, it's been a good mental exercise and a really helpful commenting aid. Also, it's just fun. I like thinking critically about media! I like having a place to record my silly little thoughts about the silly little fanfics I read! All in all, I highly recommend doing something similar if you, like me, get a rush from making lists and compiling data, and if you like complimenting people but sometimes need that extra push to actually tell them and post a comment.

Goals-wise... I don't really do those lol. Probably to continue commenting and maybe try to read more widely, but honestly I'm probably not going to change my habits intentionally. Besides, looking at what I've read so far, yes, it's already half Fire Emblem, but also half gen and half F/F with nary a Sylvain in sight*! We got History Boys, we got Haikyuu filk, we got Ingrid and a MILF! Who knows what's around the corner?

Hi, I was a bit confused ( like you want me only list bots, not humans?), especially if you want only the continuities you listed or all of them? Anyway, I'll do all bc as I was thinking about the answer I got some interesting thoughts. So prepare your tea and sit comfortably ~

Generation 1

In G1 cartoon they made it seem like Bumblebee just gets along with everyone. But I can't remember if Bee had someone among bot who we could consider his best friend. This title really went to Spike exclusively and I know you said to list bots only, bear with me here.

This fits into Bumblebee's struggles, because he's weak, but humans weak too so he feel he belong with them more than his own people. And Bumblebee still friends with Spike even after the human grows up and has a family (and the fact its the only time they show passage of time like this with a human character?)! We don't see Bee a lot on later seasons so I like to assume he just hangs out with Spike's family most of the time.

It would be so dope if they actually explored the idea of human mortality and how cybertronians would handle the invertible. But it never happens in canon even in "serious" continuities. And same even in fandom spaces. I only once stumbled upon the fic where Bee gets super anxious because Spike is getting older, really long time ago. Of course I wrote a story about this, but still, I can't be the only one thinking about this. In G1 based comics it's kinda the same thing, except IDW where Bumblebee has NO FRIENDS ( nor bot or human). Like he had some pals in the past, but he lost them all. In IDW2 there is Windblade who was established as Bumblebee's bestie but they way it was written... it was very cold friendship judging by panels I saw. Not a fan. Ah yes, I didn't watched the Netflix version, so idk, but considering how writers decided to deconstruct the character for no reason I can assume he has no friends at all.

Bayverse

I can's really say anything, I watched only first and second movies and again, Bee was bonded with a human. Same with Bee-movie, I know it's not technically bayverse, but sadly, Bee has the same the design and I still can't watch the movie bc of it xD

Animated

This is very clear that Bumblebee bot bestie is Bulkhead. And if both Bumblebee and Bulkhead were written better we would have a really dope character dynamic. Tho their dynamic is fun even as it is ( Bee crawling all over Bulkhead like a spider is Halloween episode cracks me up), but sadly Bee just never develops as a character.

Prime

I can't say anything about because I didn't really watched the show. I started, didn't liked it and dropped it. The entire aligned continuity isnt really for me, so I skipped Rescue Bots and RiD15. Though, I did like "War for Cybertron" game a lot, and maybe I would watch Prime if character designs were from that game. In the game Bee didn't had any besties.

Cyberverse

Here Bumblebee has bonds with few bots. First one is Windblade and I absolutely loved it. Their relationship was amazing and warm and physically tactile, and that's how I started ship them. Then we see Hot Rod and, now deceased, Blurr and later Bumblebee bonds with Cheetor.

This show had so much potential, like the buildup in S1 was nice and well established dynamic between Bumblebee and Windblade, but then it was all thrown out the window. Windblade was sidelined entirely in S2 as Bee hands out with Hot Rod and Cheetor ( as it's the typical all boys gang no girls allowed) after all this demonstration how close those two are in S1?? Meh.

And when Cheetor sacrifices himself? Bee looks sad at this moment, and then moves on like thing happened and it didn't affect him? What is this?? Ugh.

Earthspark

Right it's too early to say, but we can already see that Bee has a very sibling-like bond with Arcee. And from the trailer it looks like Bee is good friends with Breakdown which is interesting. Maybe he was the reason why Bee picked the racer car after his VW Beetle mode? We will see~

and as you can see....i like dark romance and fics and i dont have any rules or problems writing stuff that may be frowned upon, such as non-cons (most of the time it turns to dub con....) just general traditional stuff like child pornography or animal abuse i cannot do. if its like crucial to the storyline, like mentioning's of a villain that is a pedophile or caters to domestic abuse, i'll just kind of outline that without going into too much detail, just only mentioning to outline the villain and enhancing how bad they are, but as far as the main leads partaking into that, that's obviously something i wont do. but other than that, i'm generally pretty open to create bc i am one to not place restrictions in my writing for the sake of a good story. just...animal abuse i cant' do whatsoever just bc i'm an avid animal lover and cannot even bring myself to do that. so with that being said, send me whatever you have >:) obviously this is all work of fiction and for the sake of entertainment, like tv shows and movies so that's why i dont have any problems writing out the dark stuff. looking forward to see your request! <3

Hi again! 🥰 Here's the second part of the gossip 😂😅

Ok so about the first movie I mentions the The Batman Vs Dracula (2005)... honestly it's probably not a scary movie at all😂 I just have a very vivid memory or watching it as a kid and being terrified of "scary" movies very since. It was on of those straight to DVD animated movies. There was to be an animated cartoon show called "The Batman" and I use to watch it ALL the time with the animated Justice Leagues. The movie was one of those like off set ones. Like you know how there was Tom and Jerry the show and then they had all the individual movies with separate plots that kinda ignore the other stuff! It was like that and since it was like a kids show movie they actually probably didn't show any violence at all I was just not a child who liked vampires😂 The actor who actually voices Batman in the show and movie is the same guy who narrated the Curious George show so that about how kid friendly it was😂 I mean it probably wasn't a bad movie it just scared me so bad and I've hated movies like it since🤣 it took me ages to watch like Vampire Diaries or like Grimm after😂

I'm gonna be honest too😂 I also only watch The Christian Bale Batman movie after starting Peaky Blinders and hearing Cillian was in it😂 Plus my dad already had it so I don't have to pay😂 It was actually a good movie though! I still need to see the other two in the series😂And it defiantly have to look up Anthropoid too maybe if you think it's good! English is my only language but if Cillian's in it I can probably just watch for him😂😂

And ohh yes! I'd defiantly recommend some of those other movies too! Most of them are Alfred Hitchcock movies and his stuff is good (or the thrillers are)! I was even thinking a while back if trying to include in of his works in a Peaky Story I was trying to right! Did you know the first film he directed came out in 1922 (Number 13) ! It's technically on the list of lost films but be still released a good number in the 20's and 30's😂 I wanted to get something where the reader is at the movies with Finn or Isiah and when they hear who the director is they won't stop making jokes about his last name😂

I'll defiantly have to take a look at "The Medic" when I can too! I'm honestly not super use to reading the real person stories, I usually stick to the totally fictional character, but I'll definitely have to give it a try if you think it's good! I think I've read some of the other stories on the lists though and I remember liking them a lot!! So I'll have to look into it!

I think I may end up leaning towards Bonnie or Michael for the comedy blood dialogue story, but I still want to write for Ollie, even if it is Platonic I feel like he's appreciated😂 He's basically to Alfie what Lizzie is to Tommy and we know how hard Tommy made it😅 I can imagine Alfie being even harder to work for sometimes when he's pissed (Even if I do love the man!)

And yes! Omg! Michael changed so much even after the first two seasons 🥲 I can both understand why it happens but also I really liked like S2 early S3 Mike who wasn't totally power hungry and trying to be a mini Tommy! Even though we see bar again once I always wonder what happens to his Foster Family, or at least his Mother and Brother! I think if there was an episode where Mike like ran into his little foster brother who's grown up now it could have been interesting! Like it could have been cool to see how that played out if his little brother showed up one day needing help because he didn't realise mike wanted to forget them (Maybe I have a new idea now😂) The first time I saw him in the pics and trailer of season six with the mustache was kinda shocking to me. Because then I saw the mustache all I could thing about was how it remind me of Inspector Campbell's (And Hitlers). And since considering what Campbell did to the family (esp. to Polly for Mike to get out of jail that one episode in S2😭) it made me draw a parallel. It was like proof he had turned in to one of his families worst enemies and that's when I knew who was gonna die🥲 Or like it was proof he had kinda of turned into what both his mothers never wanted him to be😭 And that just struck me with how much he had changed since the start! I think Finn's character was kind of how Polly wanted Michael to turn out (At leat the part where he wasn't made for the family business) but because of all the trama he had gone though and his own inabliltiy to share his feelings or be content with what he had he kinda went down😭 He really was an interesting character though and I really did like him in the very first seasons he was in! I really do wonder how he would have turned out if he had never left his foster family after first meeting the Shelby's.

It did make me laugh the other day though. I was trying to start Animal Kingdom b/c I wanted to see more stuff Finn Cole was in, and it seemed to me like it was like a Modern Day American Peaky Blinders almost😂 And then I found two more thing he was in (I'm still looking for more😂) and I read their synopsis. And it hit my mind that based of those 4 movies Finn Cole seems to enjoy playing Characters that start of as like the "innocent Farm Boy / Nice guy" types and slowly become more corrupted or end up becoming power hungry or the "darker bad boy running from the law" type😂 Also he seems to enjoy taking roles with characters in difunctional Families, and don't get my wrong he plays those characters very very well (like the empty stare he did as Mike sometimes was creepy!) but I kinda want find something with him in it where I don't have to prepare myself for someone to die or murder someone every few episodes 😂

And that you for your kind words about your inbox being open💕💕💕 They really make me smile!🥰🥰🥰 I may have to do the thing you mentioned with a side blog or another one! One of my friends ended up finding a hurricane playlist on Spotify and I didn't realize how many songs there were referencing hurricanes😂 Once the lights went out we played Uno in the dark with only a small lamp to see our cards😂 it was actually fun and a good distraction! We also played Cards against Humanity enrich went how you may expect it to go with a bunch of college students😂

Michael was a good kid, but he got carried away and like you said he tried to become a mini-Tommy and that messed him up, who knew things would end up like they did ? Right? (Why does this sounds like a plot for a fic? 😂), ugh the mustache was horrible! 😳 hmm I see what you mean there, haven’t thought about the resemblance between Michael and Campbell until you mentioned it! It’s sad the way his character turned out, all of that frustration and anger towards his own blood? He had a good life, but well… he’s gone 😂 . She practically raised Finn! Another sad story, the poor boy doesn’t feel like he belongs there… and made mistake after mistake.

Goose clapped his hand on Maverick's shoulder and said, "Mav, you're my brother and I love you. You crashed and burned with Charlie, but it's time you got back on the horse. And I'm here to help you with that." "Here?" Maverick asked. They stood just outside a brothel called The Lucky Rabbit, which had an animated neon sign of two bunnies going to town on each other. "What you need is a sure thing," Goose said, steering him inside. "Something fun and easy, with no strings attached." A lady with pink curls and a very short skirt appeared behind the counter. "May I help you, gentlemen?" "This is my best friend, Pete Mitchell," Goose said. "He has a reservation." Maverick's eyes widened. "I do?" The pink-haired girl smiled. "You sure do, sugar. Everything's paid for. If you'll follow me?" "I'll pick you up in the morning, Mav," Goose said. "Enjoy yourself!" And then he disappeared before Maverick could argue.

Maverick put his hands on Ice's shoulders. Ice laughed a little, but not meanly. "Okay, that'll work. Just keep loose, Maverick. You're doing great."

RW runaway prince AU: Ray is the only son of the king of a country I have not thought up a name for yet. He has come of age, and his father, the current king, is trying to prepare him to take the throne, but Ray does not want to get married, and he most definitely does not want to be king. So he leaves. Ray's father calls in Walter, the fifth son of the king of a neighboring kingdom and a fine hunter and tracker, and offers him a deal: Find Ray and bring him home, and Ray will marry Walter whether he likes it or not, and Walter will then be king of this unnamed country.

Walter considered. He didn't know much about Raymond. He was young, more than a decade younger than Walter. Rumors painted him as an intelligent, accomplished young man, good at his studies and at sport. Walter recalled hearing Raymond was introverted, gentle, kind … and a rare beauty. And he must be more resourceful, strong, and gutsy than rumor had it if he'd managed to live on his own undetected for four months. That's what tipped the scales. Raymond would be a challenge, not just in finding him, but in marriage. "You have a deal," Walter said, and shook the king's hand.

Ray is going to be Very Unhappy when Walter tracks him down, until he isn't.

Ray felt himself shrink back. The king looked at him, but it was a kind look, and Ray allowed himself to relax a little. The king came to him, and gestured with an open hand. Ray shook his head; he didn't understand. The king gestured again, this time showing Ray the key to the shackles with his other hand. Ray nodded, and held out his wrists. The king unlocked the shackles, taking them from Ray's wrists and throwing them aside. And then he took Ray's wrists in his hands, and he gently massaged them with his blunt fingers. Ray was surprised by the gesture, by the gentleness and care of the touch. It felt good, and that surprised him, too. The king lifted Ray's wrist to his mouth, pressed a kiss there, and then one to his palm. He spoke softly. Ray didn't need to know the language to understand what was being said. The king spoke in the same tone one would use with a spooked horse or a kicked dog. Everything's all right now. You're safe. I won't hurt you.

undercover2: I am obsessed with Ray's deep cover work, and I've written about it here or there, but this story is, "What if Ray and Walter went undercover together?" (Shit gets real.)

Roth tells him to sit. He pulls the freezer door shut, locking them in. Roth's back is to him for a moment; Crow Horse sits, watches as Roth turns around, walks slowly to the table, stands while Crow Horse sits. Roth is looking at him, his jaw set, and then his expression changes and his tongue runs over his teeth--Ray's oral tic--and Roth's eyes change--the cruelty leaves them, and Crow Horse could swear they change color. Suddenly it's Ray again, his hands grasping the back of the chair opposite Crow Horse, and there's a pause where Crow Horse can't think of what to say, and Ray’s jaw jerks and his mouth softens, and he says, “Hey.” Crow Horse exhales sharply, pushing out the tightness behind his breastbone. “Jesus, Ray,” he says, “what the hell are you doing here?” Ray's brow raises a bit, like he's surprised Crow Horse doesn't know. “I'm here to pull you out,” he says. “Things are getting too dangerous for you here.” Crow Horse is caught between anger and relief. “And it's not too dangerous for you?” Ray's fingers clench on the back of the chair. “Different animal,” he says.

Uh hey guys, sorry about the fact that I didn't make a lot of edits lately mostly because I haven't really been obsessed with anything new for a really long time. At least nothing that I could write enough as to why I love it as much as I do. Well move aside everyone because hoo boy, when I first started Mob Psycho 100 I don't really know what I was expecting but it wasn't for me to find my second favorite anime of all time I can tell you that right now. It's now become a part of my holy trinity of anime, the anime's that are absolute perfection and no I will not be taking your questions or criticisms at this time *Those anime are FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood, the newly found Mob Psycho 100, and Fruits Basket 2019*

I decided early on this year that this would be the year when I would take all of the recommendations that my friends had been giving me throughout the last year and try to watch all of them, even compiling together a list of shows that I wanted to watch per each person. One of those anime's that was on that list that I knew a decent amount about it but not too much to know everything that will happen was Mob Psycho 100. The only things that I knew going into it was that Chris Niosi was absolutely fire for Reigen and that the main character was a psychic and I had seen Niosi do one of Reigen's final big moments since he posted it on his Twitter and I shared it with my Discord server because one of my best friend's absolutely loves his performance as Reigen. But just going off of those two things alone my interest was peaked. I watched a few episodes when the first season was airing but for some reason it just failed to grab me. But this time around I was grabbed from the first few minutes of episode one.

If you don't know the basic plot of Mob Psycho 100 it's about a second year middle schooler named Shiego Kageyama or "Mob" by his friends. Mob has psychic powers but he can only use so much of his powers before he blacks out and completely forgets what happens during that time. Most of the episodes have a counter and once it reaches above 100 and into the ???? state that's his unchecked psychic powers coming out, usually in stressful situations. He works for a con artist and fake psychic but genuinely good person Reigen Arataka at Spirits And Such Consolation Office. Throughout the series Mob's confidence grows in himself and he learns that he's more capable than he truly realizes.

I've often joked with my friends that my favorite brand of media is something that can make me laugh until my sides ache and then five seconds later make me cry my eyes out only to repeat the process and bring me back to laughing until I'm crying tears of laughter this time around. It's rare that I find something that can make me do this consistently but when I find that something it only makes reminds me of just how amazing those kinds of shows and movies that can be. Everything about this show is absolutely perfect, it changed my life and remains one of the two shows that I've finished in three days other than Kamisama Kiss. I rarely ever binge watch shows because oftentimes I find myself getting a headache if I watch more than five episodes in one sitting. So it's rare that I find myself pouring through a screen headache because for me the joy of the show is more worth it than anything else.

Getting to follow Mob around through these three seasons and see his character development, watching his confidence grow, and seeing him grow to accept all the sides of himself. He's just such an amazing main character and getting to watch him grow and learn that he doesn't have to be a push over, that boundaries are good to have between people, and that he doesn't have to be so dependent on others and that he's perfectly strong all on his own. I've often claimed that Edward Elric is my favorite main character in anything and that's still true, but there's something about Mob that just kept growing on me steadily over time. He's the best main character that I've ever seen since Ed's journey with me was completed when I was fourteen. Coming from someone who's journey of self actualization where it's more of some insane rollercoaster of some days being good and other days being purely mediocre and when I need help from my support system in order to move forward. I still have days where I feel like I can't do this and the whole self love and self acceptance thing will never fully be completed. But then I look back at characters like Mob who was able to grow confident in his abilities, in his sense of self, that he was able to accept that his feelings weren't requited right at that moment, or probably ever from Tsubomi, and still be able to laugh with his friends at the end of the day and give Reigen probably the best birthday that he'd ever had because his found family was there for him.

Speaking of Reigen, arguably the most popular character from this show and probably my personal favorite other than Mob. Easily the character that made the entire tumblr community for understandable reason, made everyone lose their goddamn minds. I can't say that I don't understand see why, he's absolutely one of the most perfect deuteragonist that I've ever seen in anything. His character development, arc, and how he grew as a person to fully understand that Mob won't really need him forever and that he has to let his younger brother figure go off and learn things on his own. His heartfelt apology was actually one of the first things in this show that I saw when the final episode aired two months ago and I absolutely fell in love with his character in that sequence. I partly give credit of that to Chris Niosi for being absolutely the most perfect voice to character performance that I've seen in a really long time. He's so good at bringing this character to life and he's just so funny with all of his exaggerated reactions and everything else that this character needs to be. Getting to watch his relationship with Mob grow as they learn to find the good things in each other and support each other no matter what. One of my favorite moments in the entire anime was when he helped Mob train for his big marathon at school, when he ran to support Mob even on the day of the race he still did it anyways when he could have been working instead he was there for his student. I loved getting to see all of his different special moves, especially Salt Splash and Super Salt Punch those had my stomach absolutely killing me in episode one. Nothing has ever made me laugh that hard until I saw Reigen being an absolute chaotic legend always coming up with new special moves. I just loved getting to his different interactions with all of the characters from Mob, to Ritsu, to Serizawa. He's just such a genuinely good person, Mob was totally right in that second season episode, Master Reigen is a genuinely good guy.

Teru, oh god Teru, he was so entertaining. Easily my favorite side character and self proclaimed rival of Mob. He's just so much fun and I loved getting to see him every time that he came on screen. I just could watch him forever and I'm so proud of how much he's grown throughout all the three seasons.

When I first started Mob Psycho 100 I don't really know what I was expecting, but it wasn't for me to fall ass over tea kettle in love with everything that this show had to offer. It was just such an all together absolutely amazing show and I could watch it and rewatch it forever. It's just such a comfort balm to my soul. I wish that I could almost wipe my brain clean of everything and forget about it so that I could rewatch it for the first time all over again. But getting to see Mob's character development, Reigen's antics in full, and getting to support him no matter what. It's just such an important series and I think everyone needs to see it.

Lmao, most of my ideas come to me when I'm brushing my teeth (because it's literally the most tedious thing ever) or while I'm meditating.

(Okay, so. To answer your question I'll give you a brief on our education system. We start school at 7 years old on average and study for 12 years. High-school starts at year 8 and we are devided into classes of 26-30 people (I know that in the States you choose subjects and take classes with people from your whole year and sometimes the year above/below which I've always found sooo weird, even though I get the idea). When you submit documents for high school, you compete with everyone else who also wants a place and are chosen by your results from a state's exam. But you submit documents (actually a list) for high school but for classes, too. In each class you study all subjects but four of them are studied most intensly. For me those were English, German, Chemistry and Biology. Basically, it was a class for those who wanted to become doctors (which just was a no for me). Anyway, by the beginning of year 11 everyone is expected to know they want to study so we can start preparing for state exams (one in the official language of my country and one of our own choosing). But I... I kind of switched what I wanted to study more times than I could count.)

Completely desperate the summer before my final year I was looking through the websites of the unis in my country when I saw "Animation Cinema" (because we graduate with a diploma for a director of animated movies not just animators) at the list of major in the uni I study at currently. And yeah.

I actually wanted to study in France, but it was too expensive, so I decided to just do my bachelor's in my country and maybe a Master degree in another country. Plus, I'll try to do an exchange semester or year next year, so it's okay.

So yeah, when I think about it, I decided what to study only a couple of years ago.

oh, ok ok, I kinda understand that from what I heard about England, they sound similar (I think)

and I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't have, like, a dream job since they were a child lmao. I started as a psych major, only to switch before first semester started, only to switch right back 😅

and you want to study abroad that's so cool! I was thinking about maybe going to Australia for semester but that wasn't really possible in the education major, but maybe now I'll think about it more! is there a particular reason you chose France? and what field would you get your masters in?

I love how their relationship evolved, how they learned to understand each other, respect and eventually love each other. I appreciate slow-burns with tension and very dramatic scenes and I must say they nailed it haha

-> CANON : Tohru and Kyo / Arisa and Kureno (Fruits Basket)

There are a lot of romance and couples in Furuba and all of them are interesting and beautiful. Tohru and Kyo is the main ship and their story is very endearing and memorable. I also love Arisa and Kureno's. It's not the most developed love story because they fell in love at first sight and couldn't see each other much due to the head of the Soma family's restrictions, but it moved me to see how much they loved each other. Their romance is really soft and kind yet a bit sad at moments.

-> NON-CANON : Kotetsu and Barnaby, obviously X') (Tiger and Bunny)

Well, I nearly cried when I wrote non-canon because...I tried my best to view them as friends so I could understand those who don't ship them but nah, they're clearly in love, your honor. The end of S1, the dramatic break-up in the Rising and their struggle to go on a date in S2 plus Barnaby being very caring with Kotetsu's daughter...

I love silly dudes that argue like old couples but who care a lot and love each other 😌❤

Like the previous ship, all of them are bromances with the same type of dynamic. My comfort ship is Polnareff and Avdol, I guess it helped me a lot to draw them when I felt really down and I still dearly love them today.

I do love Joseph and Caesar too and how Caesar had positively impacted Joseph's attitude toward others. Wish we could have seen more of these two ;w;

Anyways, I love this ship because... it's a slow-burn with two (at first glance) mismatched characters. Here's my example of which fictional characters I'd like to have in my life in no particular order. Most of them are my personal favorites. I don't think I'll even have enough hashtags to list, but here are the characters shown in each window, and why they matter to me. Jenny and Kitty are the first two for obvious reasons.

THE OTHER 48 FAVORITE CHARACTERS I LIKE

Pinkie Pie ("My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic") = She's the reason I got into the spirit of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" in the first place. I would hug her (when she's standing on two legs), bake with her, sing with her, and maybe cuddle with her every night like a plush toy.

Fluttershy ("My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic") = She's soft inside and out, and like with Pinkie, I would hug her like I would with Pinkie Pie. She can also remove whatever bugs come into my house.

Minuette ("My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic") = She's a friendly dentist, at least, according to what I heard from the fandom. I would hug her too.

Izzy Moonbow ("My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic 2: A New Generation") = She's almost like a successor to Pinkie Pie.

Penny Ling ("Littlest Pet Shop") = Same reasons as Fluttershy, but I would also cuddle with her at night too like a little teddy bear (she is a panda bear after all).

Yoshi ("Super Mario") = For a time, I used to like playing as Mario in games like the "Mario Party" and "Mario Kart" series, but later I started to like playing as Yoshi more, even to this day.

Spyro the Dragon ("Spyro the Dragon") = I haven't played too many of his games, but I have 1 and 3 for PS1, "A Hero's Tail" for PlayStation 2 (even though I didn't complete it), and even the "Reignited Trilogy". I'm hoping and praying Spyro will get a theatrical film one day by Universal, Illumination, and DreamWorks Animation.

May ("Pokemon Advanced") = If I ever wanted to have a "Pokemon" adventure of my own, she could be my travel companion.

Lincoln Loud ("The Loud House") = I relate to Lincoln very easily, even as an adult. He's also interested in what I too would be into like movies and gaming (maybe even superhero comics). I would hug him and shake his hand if I could.

Leni Loud ("The Loud House") = She's my second favorite "Loud House" character. Out of all of Lincoln's sisters, she's the nicest one in my eyes. She may not be the smartest of the house, but she's got a lot of heart, which is important. Like Lincoln, I would shake her hand and hug her. I might even show her my drawings of her. If I'm lucky, she might take a liking to some of them and recreate those outfits I drew of her.

Lisa Loud ("The Loud House") = Lisa reminds me of Dexter from "Dexter's Laboratory". I would hug her, shake her hand, and maybe suggest ideas for inventions that could help her.

Carlota Casagrande ("The Loud House"/"The Casagrandes") = Carlota is a lot like Leni, only smarter and has a broader sense of fashion. I'd hug her and shake her hand like I would with the others.

SpongeBob SquarePants ("SpongeBob SquarePants")

Timmy Turner ("The Fairly OddParents") = Same reasons as Lincoln.

Phineas Flynn-Fletcher ("Phineas and Ferb") = He and Ferb make my life a little more creative.

Lazlo ("Camp Lazlo")

Vambre Warrior ("Mighty Magiswords") = I'd like her to train me on how to use magiswords. The one's I'd like to use involve hypnotizing my enemies and allowing me to fly.

Daffy Duck ("Looney Tunes") = Daffy has always been my favorite "Looney Tunes" character, and he still is.

Kirby ("Kirby") = I liked playing as him in "Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards" and of course, the "Super Smash Bros." games.

Fairy Godmother ("Cinderella") = While I technically like the mice a lot more, I could use a bit of magic from Fairy Godmother any day. I'd also like her to make me a tuxedo that'll last until midnight, just like Cinderella's iconic dress.

Grandmother Willow ("Pocahontas")

Bugs Bunny ("Looney Tunes")

Lola Bunny ("Looney Tunes") = If she were real, she could always be my coach to help keep me in shape. I'm not a basketball player like her, but I don't have an issue with exercising.

Tikal the Echidna ("Sonic the Hedgehog") = Probably the most underrated female character in the "Sonic" series. While exclusive to the "Adventure" series, Tikal to me is the most sympathetic and nicest echidna Sonic ever met. I'd like to explore the Chao Gardens with her one day. And if I ever get thirsty, her boyfriend, Chaos could keep me parched with the water from his body.

Sonic the Hedgehog ("Sonic the Hedgehog")

Vivian ("Paper Mario and the Thousand-Year Door") = Despite being a ghost, she's friendly (almost like Casper). If I ever get cold, she can use her fire abilities to keep me warm, just so long as she doesn't burn my house down on accident.

Rainbow Dash ("My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic")

Donald Duck ("Mickey Mouse") = He's my favorite character from the "Mickey Mouse" cartoons. I relate to him easily.

Sora ("Kingdom Hearts") = I'd like to visit various Disney worlds with him, Donald, and Goofy. I'd also like to have my own keyblade for a weapon. This way I can perform fire, blizzard, and lightning attacks.

Jiminy Cricket ("Pinocchio") = I'd want him to steer me in the right direction if I ever get conflicted. I can't whistle, but I can trust Jiminy if he were my conscience.

I'm tipsy right now. Actually, I might be drunk. My small body just can not handle too much alcohol that often. So if I don't make sense, then you know why. Just to let you know ahead of time. Because I'm tipsy.

Honestly.. I'm not sure if I ever liked a character who never fought, I'm thinking every character I've enjoyed have been fighters and murders that I know of. Can't remember if there wasn't any fighters I didn't like before. At least none that I can think of? No characters that I think of.

Himbos. So I can't say that I don't enjoy the occasional idiot character from time to time. But, honestly, I prefer intelligent character though.

This is just my opinion.

Oh! When I said Tommy, I meant Thomas Shelby from Peaky Blinders in case you might not have ever watched the show. Wait.. Did you see the show? Because I don't know if you did. It's a British mafia series.

So my duality of characters might be slightly different than yours.

Actually.. I hate war movies. I never had any interest in watching a lot of war movies. But for me, I've watched a fair share of war movies just because of favorite actors. Like Cillian Murphy and Miyavi. So I will be watching Descendants Of The Sun for Joong-ki. And, sometimes, I'm one to watch scifi if the plot is interesting to me so I will watch Space Sweepers too. But some of the shows I was referring to for Joong-ki's roles, was The Innocent Man and Reborn Rich were only two shows. I might have to search the list again. So those were some of the shows and movies I wanted to see from him. Preferably roles where he is the star of the show, not a cameo scene. Because actors need more love.

And I'll have to search for any more roles of Do-hwan and Sang-yi the moment I get too. Since I actually do enjoy them as actors too. But I'd already said that before. Don't get me wrong! A lot of the actors I love are attractive, but I don't only like them only for their appearances. So I thought that I would clarify that. Too many of my actors are talented people. And they have beauty, brains and brawny. Quadruple quality.

I don't know if that would be a regional situation. So I will have to look into it. So I will look into But Once Upon A Crime, Informa, and lots of shows and movies I can find for certain celebrities to try watching.

Yes! That's another reason why I hate free app channels, there are too many commercials that come on screen at the most random times.

Whether or not Nikaido's in prison, he should always watch himself all the time. He could still get killed in prison too. If Japanese prisons are anything like American prisons, or any other prison around the world.

I hope he dies though. Because I never cared for his character either.

You just now realized that? Because I've done the same thing.. Kinda, sorta. Orange and Cobra might be in a romantic relationship at some point - still undecided, but I'm so not sure about Blue and Murayama though. I know, I know. Not every relationship has to be romantic. So I'm still thinking about those details over about the H&L relationships.

Why similar names? You don't have to say if you don't want to though.

Like.. Cobra. I know he is a pacifist who only fights when he needs to, especially to protect his family and friends. That's obvious. He is quiet whenever you see him. An introvert. Besides the men in Mugen, you'd know that Yamato and Noboru are basically his brothers. He is always interested in learning martial arts (especially wrestling), canonically is the strongest Sannoh character which is why he's the leader. And he's also one of the more intelligent Sannoh characters besides Noboru. It is obvious he was more happier before the incident that happened to Noboru and Miho, then he became more reserved than he was before which says a lot about his character. He might be an only child since I don't remembering seeing or hearing about his family that might. But I don't know. Oh! Snakes are his animal motif. Part of me even wishes that the animal for Sannoh was snakes instead of tigers, just because of Cobra's animal theme. That's all I can think about at the moment.

That picture of Ayaka looks like a photoshoot to me? I may be wrong..

Oh.. Like magenta and fuchsia? Or more like wine colors? Because I'd see that. Because reddish purples are more feminine than blue purple colors in my opinion. So I actually can imagine those colors for them.

Orange is a friendly person.. Whether or not your friends with her, she is always friendly towards just about everyone. Is the whole 'sunshine' type personality where everyone revolves around her but not in some arrogantly narcissistic way, but rather as a warmth friendly kinda way is how I envision her personality. If that makes sense. Actually! I don't know if you ever watched Hunter X Hunter? So imagine Gon Freecss. That is one of the character's personalities that seem close enough to describe her personality. She is definitely a very positive type person.

The relationship between Orange and Junko is one sided in any ways, like Orange's one sided friendly terms. Junko's one sided rivalry that a lot of people don't care about. Junko's one sided frienemy situation.

Exactly! That's how I imagine to any of Cobra's love interests because she doesn't seem to comprehend that Cobra in not attracted to her in any way at all. Because, if he was, he would've paid attention to her.

Cobra might need to hire bodyguards then.

Actually.. I felt the same way as Yui and Shizuka about men. So I can't lie about that. Like with Rocky. Besides him being this attractive man, I was conflicted about Rocky as a character because of his protective tendencies towards women and girls. Because as a woman, I thought that, "I don't need to man to take care of me!" Mentality of Yui. But, as time went on (around the time you would find out about Rocky's past by this point), I did find him being protective of men endearing to me. And romantic to protect them. So I tend to have the duality mindset.

i’ve suddenly forgotten literally every character to ever exist, so i can’t name any characters that i really like that fit into my specific types of characters.

my dad was a big fan of peaky blinders but it’s not really my kind of show so i never watched it. i’ve seen bits and pieces because it was so popular but i’ve never been interested in watching it. i say that a lot. what tf am i actually interested in agshdkdlsls???

i hate war movies! i just find them kind of boring and obviously depressing, but i was never a big fan of modern history in school either so of course i wouldn’t care about movies about wars. gimme ancient history stuff any day. any modern military stuff has me kinda meh.

sci-fi’s the same. i just kinda find it boring. i like space! but idk. sci-fi bores me. could never get into like, star wars or star trek or anything like that. i lean a bit more towards fantasy.

once upon a crime is a movie retelling of classic fairytales (cinderella, red riding hood) but with a mystery detective twist iirc. and informa is a crime drama between an ex-yazuka and a reporter. they both look like they’ll be easy watches at least, since the movie is under 2 hours, and the informa episodes are only about ~30 minutes each and there’s only 10 of them.

i’ve found that the hiTV app is very good for watching asian media. it doesn’t have a huge huge variety but there’s a lot of korean, thai, and japanese stuff on there. and the ads are like, one before each episode at most, not cutting into the middle randomly. it’s updating pretty often and has new and older stuff on it.

slightly off topic, but it’s weird, i feel like i’ve seen nikaido’s actor in something before but i haven’t watched anything else but h&l on his movie/show list? why does he look familiar???

yea, their main colour would be more like magenta-y, with some minor touches of like amethyst or lavender in accessories and such. like how oya’s main colour is dark-ish blue, but they also accent with lighter azures and denim shades. except for the worst full-timers group who didn’t stick with the blue theme ffs.

yui is. not the most friendly person off the bat. she’s a lil bit of a bitch sometimes. but it’s mostly because she’s often fighting to prove herself. people judge her a lot based on her looks (being very short, looking very cutesy, not looking ‘tough’) and they don’t take her seriously; after so long of it happening, she assumes it’s what people are thinking about her and gets kinda argumentatively defensive. she needs the murayama humbling treatment and she’s also getting it from cobra; except instead of physically fighting her, he’s helping her open up and breaking down her walls.

if orange is warm like sunshine, yui is searing like a wildfire. orange is inviting and friendly, yui is to be avoided unless she’s in a good mood. people like orange almost immediately because she’s nice and sunshiny, yui takes some getting used to because she’s a lil rude/hostile because she’s assuming the worst from people.

alternatively, i think yui would really get along with naomi because naomi wouldn’t take any of her attitude and give it right back. and yui would respect her for it and also for running itokan by herself. i could see the two of them (and probs shizuka too) drinking together. also when yui and cobra get closer, naomi would like that cobra’s cheering up and being less broody.

he doesn’t need bodyguards, he’s got noboru and yamato. both of them are (slightly) taller than murayama and way taller than yui. manhandle murayama away with an arm around the neck, just scoop yui up.

shizuka’s like ‘it’s romantic!’ and yui’s like ‘i can protect myself! girls aren’t weak!’, but yui also doesn’t want anybody to get hurt for her. she doesn’t like seeing anybody get hurt because they were defending her, guy or girl. yui’s a lil argumentative with rocky and the rascals because their whole deal leans on her personal sensitivity about people assuming she’s weak. shizuka sees it for what it is though: protecting the people you care about because you care about them, not because you think they’re weak.

round - what 3? of random ojou girls headcanons

yui:

she wears fake/clip-on earrings because girls will rip out actual earrings if they can get their hands on them. (including yui actually). the girls at ojou who do have pierced ears either take out their piercings or wear studs.

yui loves sweet things and can’t stand bitterness. she loves bubble tea and every single coffee drink she’s ever drank has been mostly milk/flavouring.

she’s a fan of cute things. collects key chains and cute stationary and lil figurines, absolutely blows all her spare change on gachapon machines.

she sucks at claw machines, which she’s so pissed about because some of the plushies are so cute but she can’t win them! (that’s a potential shortfic idea, cobra winning her claw machine prizes on a date).

her parents were pretty absent in her childhood. they were big into their jobs and left yui with her grandmother often. eventually, yui started living alone in her midteens with her parents paying for her small apartment in oya/ojou territory and sending her a monthly allowance.

shizuka:

like aforementioned in my last post, she loves romance media (movies, books, shows), but she hates horror movies about ghosts/spirits/demons/etc because she’s a believer in that stuff and doesn’t want to invite it into her life.

shizuka is the oldest of three in her household, which is probably why she attached to yui so easily since she was already a big sister figure. she was actually adopted by her aunt because her mother was young and unmarried when she got pregnant; so to hide it, shizuka was raised by her aunt. her aunt and uncle later had two sons and shizuka loves her younger cousins.

stealing it from draken and mikey, but shizuka sometimes carries yui around if she’s tired. or if yui’s getting too fired up about something stupid, shizuka will just pick her up and carry her away (happens often at claw machines because yui will kick the machine if she gets pissed off enough. and then probably cry if she gets even further passed that ‘pissed off’ point. she just wants the toy!).

WEEK 12: Submitting my Minor Project

The deadline for the Minor Project wasn't until week 13 but I managed to finish my Submission PDF early and uploaded it for grading early. As much as I would have liked to fine tune the aesthetics of the document to make it look nicer, I was under major pressure to finish my Dissertation in time for the deadline as well.

The rest of Week 12 I spent Writing the Rationale for my dissertation, planning and drawing the comic book spread that would be the "Element 2"/ the physical work to go with my written dissertation/ "Element 1" and applying for Extenuating Circumstances.

Firstly, applying for an EC basically means that you are asking the uni to consider the circumstances you were/are under in light of a project deadline. I hope that makes sense. You are not just asking for an adjusted deadline, you have to have a valid reason for your request and then they let you chose between 2 options. If I remember correctly option 1 is: You submit at the original deadline but can appeal the grade give to you by the board for that work, which means you could redo it if you are unhappy w. your grade. Option 2 is: your deadline is adjusted and you may submit your work up to a week after the original deadline. When I applied for extenuating circumstances I didn't think they's approve it because my application was only 2 weeks before the Dissertation deadline. Having talked to both my CTS tutor and Minor/Major Project tutor, both advised me continue working as if i were to submit at the original deadline until I hear back about the EC for sure. This seemed like a no-brainer to me because I half didn't expect my application to be approved anyway. However I heard back from them fairly quickly and chose option 2, which gave me a little more time to work on my dissertation overall.

Now to Element 2, which only counts as 20% of my overall CTS3 grade, meaning the written part would make of the remaining 80%. Because of how Element 2 is weight up against Element 1, we were encouraged to not spend too much time on it since the only real influence it would have on our grade would be the difference of a + or -. Luckily I have had a very clear picture of what I wanted to make for Element 2 for a while and so my research didn't take too long and I could finish it all pretty much in the same day.

The title of my Dissertation is "Walt Disney's Dark Past and Questionable Present 1940 to 2022" and it discusses how the animation studio portrayed people of colour, women and specifically women of colour in their older movies compared to how Disney portrays them now. I think this is the most simplified synopsis I can give you in one sentence. Element 2 I named "Walt Disney - Princess Needs No Frog" as a play on the movie title "Princess and the Frog". It is a comic style page spread of 7 panels reimagining the storyline of Tiana. In the movies she is depicted as a self sufficient and work motivated woman with a clear goal in mind of opening her own restaurant. She has no interest in distractions such as a relationship until a prince in frog form comes along and "opens her eyes to the meaning and necessity of love". Pretty annoying if you ask me. This is why in my comic Tiana, when presented with a prince promising to solve all he problems for her, becomes furious with the big man Walter Disney himself and breaks the 4th wall to tell him off.

I had lots of fun putting Element 2 together and positively surprised myself with the outcome. I had never done a proper comic strip before and there are definitely things to improve upon but for work done in a day, I think it's passable.

The rest of the week I spent planning chapters out with lists of talking points and finding citations to support those points.

Writing the dissertation was very dry work so there aren't any cool pictures to post with it I'm afraid but thankfully I got it done by week 15. More on that later.
