AFTER MUCH SUSPENSE... backstory masterpost for everyone in Next Gens backstories (I'll try to keep it brief yet thorough) also, content warnings for very dark themes especially in Barb and Tucker's backstories, I'll give the specific cw before each paragraph. I won't go into Noodles because it's Noodle u probably already know it. oh and obvious spoilers for the story I actually wanna tell later on (sorry in advance for poor writing this is kinda collaged brain vomit)
Flower Pot 🌸🔮
‼️ content warnings: brief animal death, car accident, neglect ‼️
the result of a one night stand, which came about when Murdoc flippantly said "I don't want her, you can have her" (about Flower's mom Amber) Flower Pot is the hippie daughter of 2-D. She was always kinda shut down as a kid, always upset about important issues, always shut down by her mother for harshing her mellow. she grew up suppressing her emotions and trying her best to seem calm, when on the inside she's just about the most angry off the walls bonkers person there is. Anyway she was pretty much free to do whatever as a kid otherwise, so she kinda got into studying spirituality and crystals and stuff, some of which accidentally made her a bit of a mysandrist (she works through it later dw) so she basically knows a lot about zodiacs and healing stuff and ghosts... but don't get her started on ghosts she's kinda paranoid. very paranoid about demons as well. anyway she figured out how to recessitate roadkill and was doing so in the road one day, when Noodle ended up hitting her with her car (but hey glowing radioactive zombie possum pet amirite) Flower came out of it with minimal injuries, attributing this to her crystals. now Noodle, helping her at the hospital, put the last name and the blue hair together and realized that since Flower had aged out of child support checks, she's been doing terribly, and Flower admits she is sort of jealous 2-D cared so much about her instead, so Noodle feels awful about it and offers to help her out, the two becoming acquainted and eventually finding the footing of the band later on
Y2K 💅✨️
‼️ content warnings: homophobia, transphobia, parental troubles, homelessness, child neglect and abuse ‼️
As a kid, Y2K's sister was always forced to do pageants right? and she hated them. but Y2K would've done ANYTHING to be in her high-heeled shoes, the most they were allowed to do was ballet because "boys don't do pageants". they got called some mean shit but they liked to dance! they always have and they continued to do dances on stuff like musical.ly and tiktok long after they quit ballet. well anyway one day as a teen, they just wanted to go dance at this gay club. not for kids because of alcohol, but they weren't there for that so they thought it was fine. so, they donned one of their sisters dresses, some platform heels, and a full face of makeup, and made their way to the establishment in the dead of night, terrified. but it was absolutely wonderful once they got there, everything they'd dreamed of. people just like them! queer people. well, the fun didn't last and when they came home at 4 am, full face of makeup and platform heels, they were promptly discovered by their parents and kicked out. they would continue to visit the club every night, eventually opening up to a drag queen about the situation, who promptly took them under her wing. She's been their mother since, and Y2K has pretty much been free to be whoever they wanted... with unfortunate real-life consequences but 😭 yeah, they joined Gorillaz because of their audition, where they were the only person to be able to dance and play the bass at the same time
Tucker 🕹👻
‼️ content warnings: shootings, guns, death, coma, child endangerment ‼️
Tucker is just a little fella obsessed with trucks. and I wish it ended there. Tuckers parents were avidly against iPads and stuff, they knew it rotted kids brains, so they raised Tucker on old video game consoles and love. Tucker loved these games, but he would just cry and cry and cry whenever guns were in them. (they (the Gorillaz) wouldnt come to realize the reason was because he was Del reincarnated until later) now they already had a habit of collecting old 80s-90s things so they thought hey. let's make a little arcade in our garage! and no guns in the games, just lighthearted stuff. well then the neighborhood kids would hear about it and boom! it was a successful nostalgic business before they knew it.
well.. one day word would get out to the wrong people, who wanted to steal the valuable old electronics to sell, and armed robbers flooded the scene.
(this part was copy pasted from discord several months ago)
his parents put him in the cabinet when an intruders entered the arcade, they wanted him to be safe. they didn't survive, and the pac man machine was put up for auction, the Gorillaz bought it. The spirits of Tuckers parents possessed the machine, keeping Tucker asleep and simultaneously possessing 2-D (they mentioned the machine was possessed, that's why 2-D was so addicted to it. something about it was sucking the life out of 2-D to keep Tucker alive) later on, the machine would malfunction, and when Noodle removed a panel to see what was the matter, there was a child asleep in there. the machine would not work from that day on, but the new band would have a lovely little drummer that didn't speak much at all
Barbara D'Wire 🏴‍☠️✂️
‼️ content warnings: attempted suicide, implied SA, child abandonment, drowning, sexism, ageism ‼️
Barb was found in a dumpster as a baby by a truck driver, who then took her on, raising her as he drove all over the country. he kinda got bored of the road eventually and decided to deliver stuff on boats eventually, accidentally joining a pirate crew, an environment which Barb, bored with sitting in the truck all day, absolutely ate up, and she grew up a pirate, a vicious one at that, her weapon of choice being golden scissors
(ok so I copy pasted this next part from discord from a few months ago bc I don't feel like retyping it lol sorry for any glaring mistakes)
gonna infodump about Barb a bit anyway spoilers and dark themes like sui and uhh other very bad things. just dark. you've been warned
so yeah a recap, she lost her arm to Cyborg Noodle on plastic beach as she was one of the pirates he pissed off by selling faulty weapons to. as revenge, she planned to take him out by becoming his rival in the music industry, in a barbershop quartet, since that was similar to what she had already been doing with like. sea shanties and shit. tabloids are fucking horrendous and the music industry especially in the early 2010s was atrocious toward women who Didn't Look Perfect so Barbara, after much failure and much pressure, started sleeping with executives to move up in the industry. she *hated* it, but she wanted to get Murdoc where it counted. his entire life was shaped around his band, taking that away would be worse than death. it would avenge what he took from her. anyway it got to a point where Barb started to hate herself because of the articles written about her, she started withdrawing, started avoiding cameras, and one day, she just had a moment of. what the fuck am I doing here. do I even care about revenge anymore. and she decided she hadnt, so she went outside, cut the brakes on her truck, and drove full speed off a cliff, planning to drown. she changed her mind at the last minute, tried to swerve, but it didn't do anything, and she went into the ocean
but then BOOM guess who else was at the bottom of the ocean. guess who remembered her from the beach. CYBORG NOODLE. Cyborg Noodle brought her to dry land, and Barb never knew any better and took it as a sign she wasn't meant to die
her time in the music industry was just, in general super jarring? she went from a world of "nobody gives a shit if you haven't bathed in months, we all have jaundice and like 4 combined teeth" to "if you have one singular body hair we will write a 4 page essay roasting the fuck out of you" so yeah. this is also where her avoidance of cameras started
-------
so there ya go! hope u.. uh.. liked it

not to, like, monologue, but I've been thinking about bird symbolism and how it ties in with Everyone But Her? and idk if that's something you intentionally worked in or if I'm reading into too much
people love using birds as a symbol for freedom, and birds in cages representing various kinds of isolation. but they often leave out what happens when the bird gets out, right?
Bird!Reader has, at some level, gotten out of her birdcage. she's at Nevermore, and she has an adoptive family. but she's not free from the effects Kristi and Marcus had on her- and that's where the harness comes in. she's a free bird... but she's still restricted. she covers up the parts of her that her parents hated, ties down both a part of her body and a part of her personality.
people who have escaped abusive situations often still feel pressure to take up as little space as possible, they worry about needing too much from other people/the world, because they're used to love being conditional. and Birdy takes that in a sort of literal direction, especially in the most recent chapter.
idk if I'm explaining this very well? I swear my thoughts were more organized ten minutes ago, oops. anyway, I'm just vibing with the way Birdy's wings work themselves into the narrative, the way they can showcase a type of healing that goes beyond what most people realize. again, idk if that makes sense, sorry for rambling
-signed, your friendly neighborhood crow
Tumblr media
I hope you know I'm officially in love with you now, we shall get married at dawn. I'm putting the rest of my incredibly long rant answer under the cut so I don't take up too much space (just like Birdy 👀)
No but seriously, you hit the nail right on the head, you are NOT reading too much into it. All of it is very much tied into her trauma, her healing, and the physical representation of that in her wings. I personally specialised in trauma and all kinds of domestic/household abuse (in real life and in literature) in uni, so it's something that I love to explore in literature as well. Most people see trauma/abuse in one light (most because they, thankfully, haven't experienced it), so I love to explore all the nuances and symbolism that comes with it.
Initially it didn't start that way in the story, I was aiming on making Birdy much more like... like a Fallen Angel archetype. Something innocent, holy, belongs on a pedestal, but brought down by something out of her control and no matter how hard she tries, she can never get back to where she used to be. How something so innocent could be so tainted against her desire.
But then, like you mentioned, the bird aspect just popped up. It started off as a joke cause I threw in a few bird-like behaviours, but then as chapters went on and we slowly started to get into her background, it became the perfect metaphor for her trauma and healing, and it could easily be shown through her wings. She very much treats her trauma like something to push down, to ignore, but her wings give it away. They're the physical representation of everything; why her parents' love was conditional, why she's different, and eventually how she heals (as we slowly start to see in the Addams household).
And it (hopefully) shows that yes, healing isn't linear and we can see that with the harness (like you mentioned again, it's like you read my mind). She wears it outside, when she's with others, if she isn't 100% sure that she will be "allowed" to be free with new groups or in new locations. It becomes a crutch because, in her mind, "they can't hate me if they don't know I have wings."
But then we see the parts where she finally takes the harness off, on her own free will or not. When she goes on the date with Wednesday and, though terrified, let's Wednesday remove the harness. When she, increasingly often, doesn't have the harness on when hanging out in Enid and Wednesday's dorm room. When the Addams tell her - and continuously remind her - that she doesn't have to wear the harness in their house because she is free and loved.
So yes, while she's technically free of the abusive home she grew up in, it never leaves her. She always has and always will still deal with the aftermath, and though she may not discuss it it's shown very clearly through the harness and her wings. And her entire journey of healing and growth will continue to be shown through her wings.
And I can't say anymore otherwise I'll spoil the ginormous storyline that I've got planned, but long story short, you're right! It's the symbolism of the wings and it's going to remain a big part. Not a necessary part to understand, but if you need to know Birdy's mental state, just look for the wings 😌

Thoughts regarding the changes of certain elements of the OG in "Rebirth" (e.g. Cid's personality being changed or Dyne's death)?
This is such a great question!! I'll answer for both of these because I do have thoughts, and the game is so big that I'm already forgetting some things that you guys remind me about. I'll start with Cid.
I'm not entirely convinced that Cid's personality is changed, so much as the...timeframe of his life is being shifted? I'll try to explain.
In the original, you meet Cid and he's already this grizzled asshole who is doing THE MOST, and his hatred of Shinra is so acute that he eventually starts to rival Barret for who hates that company the most. I love Cid, but I guess if anyone from the playable party had the weakest motivation, it would be him. "They stole my dream" is motivation, don't get me wrong, but doesn't it sort of pale in comparison to "they murdered our parents and burned our village; they murdered me and brainwashed the love of my life; they did EXPERIMENTS ON ME." Sorry Cid, but your trauma is a bit...hmnnggh bebi by comparison...
In Rebirth, Shinra hasn't 100% fallen from his good graces yet, at least with regard to him being ambivalent about their misdeeds because he needs to turn a profit. I think the changes to when you meet Cid, how you meet Cid, and how he behaves about Shinra boil down to two things;
1.) Game functionality. It made the most sense to introduce him sooner to give access to the world in an exploratory sense, and the only way to do this in a remotely timely manner would be to introduce him sooner. But then you kinda fuck up the placement and point of Rocket Town, so he needs some other "hook."
2.) I believe they're saving his "fall" for the third part, much like Vincent's background will be saved for the third part. We still need some dramatic flair and some reminders why everyone should hate the fascist overlord, and by then we already know very well why Barret, Tifa, Cloud, Aerith, Red, Yuffie, and even Reeve harbor those feelings.
Long story short, I think he's been set up for his own character development. It was also kinda nice to have the Tiny Bronco around before Cid's wings are totally clipped, so to speak. It was interesting to see that spark of pre-FUCK THIS SHIT Cid. One thing I do find VERY intriguing is the connection to Ifalna!!!!!! I can't wait to see how that pans out...how well did he know her? Did he have FEELINGS for her?! Is he the reason she was able to escape, even though she didn't make it far? Is Aerith walking free because of Cid Highwind?! That would be kind of gaggy, to be quite honest.
So, sure, they did adjust his personality a bit. Like I doubt he's going to verbally abuse Shera and drop F-bombs, but that's fine. They changed a lot of things from the original that just would not play well to an audience nowadays, and I get it.
Dyne stuff under the cut!!!
My husband and I fully disagree on Dyne. I'm not too assed about him not leaping to his death (I mean, he already fell into a gorge which was probably kinda traumatic???? So having him NOT choose to off himself that way could make a bit of sense). What I am most intrigued about is how he goes full fucking Tetsuo from Akira half way through the fight??
In the original game, Dyne is just a man. He's strong, but he's just a broken man. He isn't experimented on by Shinra, we have no canon understanding of him being Mako poisoned or something, he should not be capable of what Rebirth Dyne was doing during that fight with Barret. My husband has chosen to write it off as the dev team just beefing up the battle to make it more modern/difficult/fun.
I don't share this thought process. Hojo is already understanding things (in my opinion) that go above and beyond the original plot. There are already mutations in Rebirth that didn't exist in the original, and I don't know if I'm reading too much into that, but it seems to me that it's kind of an emerging theme...
SOMETHING. Happened to Dyne. Whether he...fell into the gorge and then was Mako poisoned from being too close to the blown up reactor for years...or something else...I don't know for sure. But I wouldn't be surprised if Rebirth is NOT the last we hear about what happened to Dyne. They're REALLY going in on the human experimentation thing...it's going to get quite ugly with Cloud's background (and Aerith's, I'm assuming, if Cid ever spills those beans), and just Red XIII's Trial in the Temple of the Ancients ALONE was bone-chilling. I don't have precise answers or predictions or anything, but I do think it was changed with an intention deeper than "let's make this battle harder/more cinematic."

Nee
Tumblr media
CW: slavery, repeated loss of parental figures, drug abuse, assaults and murder attempts, consensual decapitation, mutilation, cannibalism.
Nee was born a pet. Although he was lucky enough to live with somewhat caring owners, he was left behind in their mansion when they moved to another house. It's unclear whether they did it on purpose but they didn't come back regardless. At the time Nee was about 13 years old.
After having waited for his owners' return for a few days, Nee was found by a group of vagabonds, one of whom decided to take him under his wing, although they didn't become very close. He taught him the language and customs of the small world, and Nee spent the rest of his childhood in the streets of Giant City. He was assaulted by giants a couple of times, which further grew his aversion to them. Eventually he decided to leave for Small City.
There he took a job as a blacksmith's assistant at Kobalt's forge. Kobalt, being a kind man, provided him with money, housing, protection and support. Although it wasn't meant to last, Nee found himself a kind of a family. During that time, he befriended Tri, Anzie's brother and enjoyed the protection both from the best blacksmith and one of the most respected people in the city.
Unfortunately, once a tekko came into the city, Kobalt got killed, which left Nee devastated. He spent a few days inside the forge but without Kobalt's protection he quickly got kicked out by those who wanted the forge more. Tri helped him by providing free lodging, at least for the time of his mourning.
Nee shared the small flat with Kosha, who at the time was succumbing to her addiction. Nee started to care for her, using it as a distraction from his reality. Eventually he convinced her to quit and helped during her recovery, while she supported him in his grief. They became friends, then lovers.
Without Kobalt's protection life became much more dangerous for Nee. He often got attacked, sometimes just for obviously being a pet. One day a gang chased him out of the city, wounding him in the process. Luckily for him, a giant happened to be nearby. Desperate, Nee called for help and was saved.
The giant brought him in his mansion and treated his wounds. Despite being grateful for the salvation, Nee had no intention of staying there and becoming a pet again. He was planning to leave once he recovered, but kept the mansion in mind as a safe place for him. He was keeping in touch with Kosha and Tri in that time with the help of mice.
During his recovery Nee met Yan, who, unbeknownst to the giant, was using his mansion as lodging while she was busy in Small City. Being somewhat biased towards pets, she mistook Nee as one and proceeded to verbally and sometimes physically mistreat him. After a short while Nee stood up to her which made her back off and gain some respect for him. They grew closer as Yan became more interested in his life, although she disclosed virtually nothing about herself. Eventually she realised she fell in love with him but did not say anything, not knowing how to deal with her feelings and being aware of his relationship with Kosha.
One night the mansion was visited by Anzie, Tri and Pol. Anzie's goal was to kill the giant so he left Pol and Tri to guard Nee while he went to look for the giant's bedroom. Neither Nee nor Tri wanted the giant dead so, stepping outside of the room so that Pol couldn't stop them, Tri came up with a horrible plan that, nonetheless, proved to be effective. Knowing that he would survive, he convinced Nee to decapitate him and force Anzie to trade his life for the giant's.
The plan worked but had consequences. Upon seeing his brother's severed head Anzie couldn't think straight, snatched it from Nee's hands and left immediately after making sure Tri was alive. There were no subsequent attempts to kill the giant but Anzie began to see Nee as a direct threat to his family despite what Tri tried to tell him. The experience affected Nee deeply, and although the plan was conceived by Tri and he did survive in the end, Nee still blamed himself for what he had done.
Since Anzie was now after him, upon his recovery and the return to Small City Nee spent most of the time in his flat with Kosha. She and Tri were the only ones who knew he was there so he was relatively safe. He still got attacked by Pol and got almost too paranoid to leave the flat altogether. He was lucky enough to get away every time, sometimes with his friends' help, but he still got injured. Moreover, Pol's failures potentially meant that Anzie would attempt to kill him himself, despite both Tri and Yan trying to persuade him to stop.
Ironically enough, it wasn't Anzie who dealt the most damage. Nee got jumped by a gang who beat him, tried to pull out his teeth and successfully tore out most of his claws mutilating his hands after he tried to fight back. This left him traumatised in every way possible, and he was brought back to the mansion to be treated under the giant and Yan's care. At this point he wished for nothing more than just to be safe.
After his relative recovery Yan suggested to take him to Giant City, telling him it would be safer. The real reason was that she had to come back and hesitated to leave him behind "unsupervised". Nee reluctantly agreed.
Unfortunately, upon arriving Yan let her guard down, assuming that nothing could happen now that they were on her territory, and left Nee somewhat nostalgically wandering the streets to attend to her own matters. In her absence Nee got caught by people of the Organisation, knocked out and brought to Nikola.
Since Yan usually attended Nikola's dinners, she managed to stop him before he could do anything, but that gave Nee yet another deep fear, that time of a specific person. He was also left with quite a few questions about who Yan really was, why he had been captured and what exactly that organisation did.
After telling him everything, Yan suggested recruiting him into the Organisation to make up for her supposed negligence. Being its member would give Nee protection and the opportunity to finally live a quiet happy life. He agreed and moved to Giant City with Kosha.
After eventually meeting Frederick he was left with a conflicting first impression. On the one hand, he was someone who shared his experience as a pet, and Nee was worried about his relationship with Nikola. On the other hand, he saw Frederick as simultaneously a better and a worse version of himself. To his understanding, Frederick chose to leave his owner despite being taken care of, and yet never had to suffer. Of course, Nee realised he was wrong in his assumptions after getting to know him better but could not admit it.
Presently Nee continues doing paperwork for the Organisation. He's struggling with PTSD and insomnia, although he is slowly getting better. For now he's just trying to enjoy living in safety for once.

3/5/23 CW: Abuse/Trauma mention kinda? ADHD stuff, anxiety stuff, "The Bluey Post."
Last couple days have been okay. I've been learning to manage the panic attacks better. I didn't actually have one today- I kinda had a smaller episode yesterday, but I put on some Bluey and it turns out to be like, magic anti-panic attack medicine. Who knew.
Some people have heard me say (seen me type?) before that after watching Zootopia, I didn't want to FUCK Clawhauser; I just wanted to be his friend. My first real furry crush was Alex the Lion from Madagascar- just a bright, bouncy, funny, silly, charming character that loved to perform and loved people- bonus points for having huge bappy manimal paws and big chompy teeth. This is going somewhere, I promise.
I feel like there's this positivity vacuum in my life that makes me a sucker for hyper-pure characters and content, like it artificially fills some kind of void that makes me wish I were a part of it in an earnest and genuine way.
Bluey has been like... The greatest expression of that feeling. I love watching Bluey never stop being bossy because she gets away with it nine times out of ten due to her shear charisma. I love watching Bingo constantly challenged to fight for attention and respect, and ultimately succeeding. I love watching the chaos that unfolds literally any time that Muffin is on-screen. I love the way Bandit genuinely loves his daughters and does everything in his power to spend time with them and indulge them, even if it's not always on his preferred terms. I love the storyboarding, the subtle hints at deeper trauma across the cast, the relatability of the characters.
I remember before ever seeing the show, I saw a clip of Jack on Twitter. Why can't you sit still? Why can't you remember anything? Why can't you just do what you're told? He stops fidgeting for a moment and really thinks about it and says, sadly:
"... I don't know."
I cried to that clip- hard- because that moment with Jack was my entire childhood and was the most I ever related to a character. It was the most I had ever seen of myself on a TV show packed into three words uttered by a cartoon jack russell terrier that couldn't remember his god damn hat.
Every day of my life, my dad yelled and screamed at me asking why I couldn't do these simple things he asked me to do and all I could say was "I don't know." Sometimes he'd scream it back at me at the top of his lungs in that condescending slurred "pretending to be special needs" tone, mocking me.
My third grade teacher tried to tell my parents "Chris is very smart but has a difficult time staying on task and participating in class- I think that Chris may be struggling with ADHD" and my mom jumped down her throat for suggesting her son could have been anything less than perfect. She didn't attend parent teacher conferences anymore after that. Where dad was hard on me, mom coddled me and kept me "under [her] wing" as dad would say.
I grew up "smart" and "gifted" but "lazy" and "unmotivated," bullshitting and last-minute-ing my way through school, flopping upwards and somehow convincing everyone I was everything they thought I was.
I'm not medicated or diagnosed and I can't afford to be, but I KNOW I'm ADHD. Seeing the way other people struggle and relating to it all- the time blindness, the hyper-focus, the terrible working memory, the difficulty managing emotions, the executive dysfunction, the rambling- yes I know I'm doing it right now, sorry- all of it and more.
At THAT moment, seeing Jack internally question why he can't do all these simple things really endeared me to the character, and I knew I wanted to watch Bluey for more than just lusting after Bandit (god help me he's still so fucking ideal). When I actually watched the show and reached that episode, I was floored by just how beautifully and subtly the show straight up teaches kids about ADHD without ever mentioning it.
Rusty involves Jack in a game that challenges every debilitating aspect of his neurodivergency, and Jack succeeds in every event based on the three motivational pillars of ADHD: Urgency, Novelty, and Personal Interest. If you think of motivation as a bridge, those three things make up the planks you step across, and if any or all of them are missing, it's MUCH harder for someone with ADHD to stay invested in the task at hand and follow through from start to finish without struggling along the way. It's a game, so there's novelty. Jack wants to make a good impression on Rusty, so there's personal interest. In the last part of the game, they need that dust off NOW, so there's your urgency. All three allow Jack to overcome his poor working memory (difficulty remembering multiple pieces of information across short periods of time), his inability to sit still, and his executive dysfunction (inability to actively prioritize what your brain decides to focus its attention on). The episode is just extremely well researched. Fun fact, did you know there's a prominent, internationally recognized authority in the field of ADHD research named Russell Barkley? Coincidence? I think not!
Obviously I got off-track and rambled a bit and now I'm mentally spent, but all I mean to say is that Bluey is a really, overwhelmingly beautiful and cozy show and I'm extremely thankful to have it in my life. It is genuinely beautiful artistically and the animators are given a lot of opportunity to flex their creativity. There's a lot to love but that first episode with Jack was the one that really sold me on it.
It's about 1:30 AM now, I've got a pot roast I've gotta get in the slow cooker in the morning, and I think I'm more prone to panic attacks when I'm sleep-deprived, so I'm gonna try to maneuver around this cat that's leaned up against my thigh and go to sleep.
I don't know if anyone is actually reading these, but I kinda like typing them either way.
Night.

1, 3, 6, 8, 9, 12, 24 for your OCs 👀
Ooooo yessss I love it! Thanks for the ask!
1. Who are they closest to? How did they meet and what do they like to do together? (I'm gonna do people outside of their families since all of my ocs are related in one way or another)
Varian: Johnny Cage! They met during the tournament and she was the only one that actually liked him. They got close because their personalities mix so well together! Their favorite thing to do together is go club hopping every other weekend. They also love just chilling and talking to each other for hours on end
Kami: Jade. They have huge respect for the other and have many of the same interests. They met during the tournament as well, with Kami trying to convince Jade that she could be free of Shao Kahn if she joined their side. Nowadays they have tea parties together and gossip about their wives
Ryoko: Look at me talking about an oc whose outline I haven't finished yet, oh well. For her, it's her boyfriend Taro (Kuai Liang's son). These two are very lovey dovey with each other. They met when all hell broke loose and Quan Chi found out about their existence, causing them to go under SF's protection. Ryoko saved Taro's life when they were running from the undead army, making him greatful to her. These two just love to snuggle together, most often with Taro holding Ryoko while she plays her video games
Akira: Cassie. Cassie is like the fun older cousin that let's you stay up late and eat junk food all night. They met through their parents and have been an unstoppable force ever since. They love gossiping about their families while doing each other's nails and facial masks
Masaru: Jin. Believe it or not, they're constraining personalities actually make meld pretty well together. They met when Masaru was little through Lao and Varian. Masaru, even at a young age, saw how misunderstood Jin was. He wasn't bad or mean, just very sad and lonely. They like to sew new clothes together while listening to their favorite movies in the background
Terrance/Pascal: Kotal. His true father figure, the first person to show genuine care for him. They met when Shao Kahn put Pascal with the Osh Tekk to get better training. Kotal saw how hurt and abused this poor 12 year old boy was, how scared he was. Kotal decided that he would take this boy under his wing and give him the love and care he deserves. They bond via cooking and sparring, the best ways for them to show their love
3. Are they an early bird or night owl?
Varian: Both
Kami: Early bird
Ryoko: Night owl
Akira: Both
Masaru: Early bird
Terrance/Pascal: Night owl
6. On an average day, what can they be found doing after dinner?
Varian: Training, meditating, or dancing
Kami: Reading historical fiction, making tea, or knitting
Ryoko: Sparring, Grandmaster training, or sibling time (Her and her brothers doing their hobbies together)
Akira: Sparring, his nails/makeup, or sibling time
Masaru: Meditation, caring for the Fire Gardens, or sibling time
Terrance/Pascal: Caring for his garden, training new recruits, or shopping in the local markets
8. What will always make them smile? What will always make them cry?
Varian: Smile- Her current family. Cry- Her past family
Kami: Smile- Helping those in need. Cry- Her mother's death
Ryoko: Smile- Her family getting along. Cry- Her family hurt because she wasn't fast enough
Akira: Smile- Seeing people happy because of him. Cry- His insecurities of being a failure
Masaru: Smile- Seeing people love what he sews for them. Cry- Overwhelming stress
Terrance/Pascal: Smile- Seeing the Outworld kids play and be happy, normal children. Cry- His childhood
9. What was their first kiss like?
Varian: VERY AGGRESSIVE ON HER END! She more or less tackled the Great Kung Lao (Lao's ancestor) to the ground as she did it. Still nice nonetheless
Kami: Very clumsy, she didn't really know what to do, so she accidentally knocked teeth with the other woman
Ryoko: Horrible. Just horrible. It was in a spin the bottle game and she landed on the creepiest dude at the party. He kept trying to French her and got pissed when she punched him. She tries not to think about it
Akira: Very sweet, he and Naomi (Shirai Ryu member) were both nervous, but they went for it at the same time, it was a little clumsy, but sweet nonetheless
Masaru: Bad. He went on a date with this girl and afterwards she went in to kiss him. He didn't want it, but he didn't want her to feel bad so he just let it happen. She tried to get her tounge in the back of his throat and it caused him to gag. Never spoke to her again
Terrance/Pascal: Very passionate. He dated Skarlet for awhile but he didn't want to kiss her because he was afraid of Shang Tsung killing her. She said that she didn't care, that she just wanted to be with him. This sparked a very long, passionate kiss between them
12. Are they hot-headed or even-tempered? What frustrates them the most?
Varian: Even for the most part. What frustrates her the most is people judging her based off of her blood
Kami: Even. Nothing frustrates her more than injustice in already suffering hometowns
Ryoko: Hot headed. She truly tries her best, but when someone insults ANY of the people she loves she loses it
Akira: Hot headed. He has his Father's temper, so it's a bit easy to cross him. The fastest way is to threaten his clan
Masaru: Even. Insult his dead brothers and see what happens
Terrance/Pascal: Even because he was forced to be. Calling him "Shang Tsung's son" is an invitation for a can of whoop ass
24. Where did their name come from? Does it have meaning?
All of their names came from baby name websites
Varian: Many variables, many talents
Kami: Whose desires are fulfilled
Ryoko: Good, helpful, understanding child
Akira: Bright child, clear
Masaru: Excelling commander
Terrance/Pascal: Terrance- Tender, gracious, good Pascal- Passover

The sun was shining and the birds were chirping. For April, it was surprisingly sunny and warm; there were no clouds in sight. It was perfect weather for the special event that was to take place today because in a few short hours, Maya and Carina's son would walk across the stage at his graduation ceremony. He would graduate from one part of life, and walk onward to a new adventure in life. The child they argued on conceiving for years would adjust his cap, straighten his too-big gown and put on a brave smile before stepping out for the crowd.
His three biggest supporters besides his moms, would be cheering the loudest from their designated seats in the third row, six seats in from the aisle. Non-biological cousins who were raised as his siblings because the young boy didn't have any "real" ones. He was his moms' one and only miracle. But Andy and Sullivan's kids—two girls and a boy—were all the love he needed. Emilia had done her walk years before; she was six years older than her cousin. The twins, Clara and Tanner were closer to his age, but still two years older. For their cousin’s graduation though, the trio were on their best behaviour and had put on their fanciest clothes.
Carina wiped her eyes and Maya moved a hand behind her wife's back to pat her lightly. She had tears in her own eyes yet felt the need to keep it together. Sullivan was put in charge of video-taping, as he was the least likely to get emotional and cry. Andy leaned over to Maya and whispered, "I cried when all three of their names were called."
Maya nodded. She remembered having to console her best friend about her own kids growing up before, and now it was finally Maya’s turn. She had never been prouder of her son until this moment. He had overcome so many mountains but those never stopped his short legs. He just kept climbing, more often than not with a smile on his face. Soon, people began to shush one another, as the announcer walked across the stage with a microphone in hand. The ceremony was about to begin!
“Good afternoon everyone. My name is Georgia Davis, and I am so happy you could join us today.” Pause for a polite smattering of applause. “While we know how anxious you are to watch your not-so-little ones walk across the stage, we ask for your patience as we read through their names. This is one of our largest classes yet to graduate. Let’s give our kids a huge round of applause!”
This time the clapping wasn’t forced and nearly deafened the room. After waiting for the noise to settle down, Ms. Davis began to read down her list. Maya and Carina’s son would be near the top, as his hyphenated last name gave him the alphabetical advantage. Bishop came before DeLuca in the alphabet, which was one of the reasons Maya’s last name was first on his birth certificate. For Andy and Sullivan’s kids, they had decided whose last name went first the same way; Herrera won out over Sullivan.
"Andrew Bishop-DeLuca." Maya snapped her attention back to the stage, stopping her day dream. She couldn’t believe she almost missed the moment her son walked out because she was thinking about last names of all things! The teacher smiled and began clapping. Seconds later, a young boy walked across the stage, head held proudly. He had Carina’s brown hair, blue eyes like Maya and walked just like the man he was named after. He was every bit as trouble as the late Andrew DeLuca as well, but just as kind too. Sometimes, Maya knew that it hurt Carina to watch their son embody someone Carina had grown up alongside. Though they both wouldn’t change it for the world, because their child was still unique in his own way.
"Little Andy's all grown up," the real Andy said. Maya and Carina's son had been named after Carina's deceased brother and dubbed with the nickname "Little Andy" after Maya's best friend. It fit him perfectly because some of his aunt’s fiery personality had rubbed off onto him. Whenever he sassed his moms, they blamed it on Andy.
In the middle of the stage, Andrew turned and waved at his family, ignoring the clear instructions he had been given at home to shake the teacher’s hand and not look for his moms. Everyone laughed though, and both Maya and Carina were too proud to be upset. The teacher was ready for this, and gently placed his scroll in his hands, and directed him off stage. Sullivan smiled over from his seat farther down the row; he had gotten the whole thing on video.
After Andrew’s turn, his row of supporters sat quietly and just simply watched everyone else. Georgia Davis had been right when she said this was the largest class in a while, as a total of thirty two graduates crossed the stage. When at last everyone had gone, and many parents were crying, Ms. Davis returned and thanked everyone for coming. More speeches and awards would be given out later. It was now time for refreshments and a chance to stretch after sitting for so long.
Outside, Carina was still sobbing quietly against Maya's shoulder. "We're gonna be empty nesters soon! I can't believe it,” the Italian woman said sadly.
Maya rolled her eyes. She totally supported her wife's emotions today of all days, but calling them “empty nesters” was being a little dramatic. "Babe, he's only graduating from preschool. He starts kindergarten in September, and will be with us for at least another fourteen years. We'll be okay." She had to hold in a chuckle, as she wrapped an arm around Carina.
"Only fourteen years! That'll pass in seconds! We should've had more kids!" Carina wailed, while Maya refrained from telling Carina that having Andrew almost killed her and that another child wasn't going to be possible. Like ever.
Andy sidled over and chose to make matters worse by saying, "I've only got twelve years left with the twins, in that case. And ten with Emilia." Maya's best friend looked like she was going to cry as well, and Maya couldn't handle two crying women, so she had to do something. Quickly. So she grabbed both of their hands and forced them to look at they're not-so-baby-like babies. The Fantastic Four—a cheesy nickname dubbed for all their kids—were now playing on the mini playground. Tanner, who took his role as an “older cousin” very seriously, was helping Andrew climb the jungle gym. Emilia and Clara were running around, probably scuffing up their shoes in true Herrera-Sullivan kid fashion. Sullivan was standing nearby, a grim expression on his face. He now had three headstrong women living in his house and sometimes it was almost too much to bear. But he loved them and his son more than anything else in the world.
Sullivan noticed them watching and waved, a smile lighting up his entire face when he saw his wife. Maya still sometimes wondered how her best friend and the ex-battalion chief managed to get together despite their odds at first. One look at the chemistry between them would answer all ones' questions. They were just made for each other. Sullivan was back to being Fire Chief Sullivan, a title he most definitely hung over Andy's head. Andy had finally made Captain at Station 19 four and a half years prior. Maya stepped down completely by her own accord when Carina got pregnant; having a family meant more to her than any title, now. It was a good thing she stepped down as well, because Carina was hospitalized for nearly five months and someone had to take care of Little Andy at home that entire time.
Andy waved back at her husband, and left Maya and Carina to go stand beside him. Carina was calming down, thankfully, and stared at the big, blue sky above. She rested her head on Maya’s shoulder, even though the blonde was shorter, and sighed. Maya gently reached up to wind her fingers around Carina’s curls. Her wife had once said that was calming, so Maya did it often now. They stood together, thinking about different things probably, but under one general consensus; their son was growing up way too fast. It seemed like just yesterday they were holding him together in the Labour and Delivery wing of Grey-Sloan Memorial. That was before Carina began hemorrhaging and needed lifesaving surgery, of course. But the two moms had had two peaceful hours with their new baby. Together, as a family of three. Maya had looked at her son and thought, so this is what unconditional love is. She had sworn she would love her son for whatever he accomplished, no matter how big or small. She wouldn’t push him to the point of abuse and yell at him if he came second. She would love his other mom more than the world, and make up for all the pain her parents had put her through. Speaking of her parents, Maya’s mom asked for a picture of Andrew today, as she wasn’t exactly invited to the ceremony. Technically anyone could come, but Maya had specifically told her family that it was “parents only” and just left out the fact that Andy, Sullivan and their kids had attended for Andrew. Although Andrew didn’t even care that his grandparents weren’t present; all that mattered to him were his cousins.
“Andrew, Mommy wants to get some pictures of you. Is that okay?” Maya asked, taking Carina with her as she headed over to the jungle gym where the kids were playing. Carina pulled out her cellphone and handed it to Maya, who was ready to capture whatever smile Andrew gave them. Sometimes he was silly, especially around the twins.
Maya’s reply was a fit of giggling from the kids. She raised an eyebrow at them but apparently didn’t come across stern enough. Andy ended up clearing her throat, which caused Emilia to smarten up. She prompted her siblings to listen and Tanner nudged Andrew, who guiltily turned to his mom. He was only four, though, so it wasn’t too much of a surprise that he took longer to listen.
“Do you want us in the picture Auntie Maya?” Emilia asked, gesturing to herself and her siblings.
“Of course.” Maya let them all strike a pose in front of the playground. She clicked away and let Carina try to make them laugh behind her. Sullivan put an arm around his wife, and they just watched the four kids goof off. After the candid moments of sorts, Maya did get Andrew to pose with a proper smile on his face. The twins ambled over to their parents and though they were getting too big to be carried, Andy held Tanner on her hip while Sullivan scooped up Clara. Emilia stood in front of them and they looked ready for a picture. Maya also seemed to think so, and turned the camera on them. “Smile!”
The Herrera-Sullivan’s smiled like their lives depended on it. “Want me to take pictures of you three?” Andy offered, putting Tanner down.
Maya handed her phone over in answer. “Do you want to sit on my shoulders, Bambino?” That was another one of Andrew’s nicknames, dubbed by his Italian mother. Maya was doing her best to learn Carina’s dialect but still could barely keep a basic conversation. Ten year old Emilia was better than her Auntie Maya, and Italian was just one of the four she was learning. Besides English, all the Herrera-Sullivan kids had been taught Spanish. The twins were just starting German and Italian, while Emilia was half fluent in both. It amazed Maya how quickly kids could pick up another language. Andrew was even interested in Italian, though it was mostly because the twins were learning it. He was a bit of a copycat at four years old.
Andrew held out his arms for his mom to pick him up. Maya hoisted her son over her head and he let out a giggle. Carina smoothed down his small collared shirt and straightened his pants, before turning towards the camera. They all smiled really big as Andy snapped picture after picture. As image after image was taken, Maya couldn’t help but wonder where she would be right now if she hadn’t changed her mind about kids. It had taken quite a lot of convincing from her Italian wife—plus babysitting Emilia and the twins constantly—before Maya felt like she was ready to become a mother. Craning her neck to look at Andrew now, everything made sense. Everything had worked out and Andrew was perfect. Of course Maya was being biased because he was her son, yet she couldn’t help it! It was a parent’s right to think their child was perfect even though sometimes they did things that drove them crazy.
Andrew had a habit of copying everything someone said, for either three sentences or three hours. It was very aggravating and Maya had accidentally raised her voice at him a couple times. He also refused to pick up toys—cancelling his cousins coming over was the only thing that made him do chores at this point. But those were small things and they were part of growing up. Heck, Maya knew she did things that probably drove her wife and son crazy. Maybe by the time Andrew graduated high school, their bad habits would be gone. One could only hope.
“Should we head back to our place now?” Maya asked, pocketing the cellphone Andy returned to her. The families had planned for a sleepover with all the cousins plus ice cream and more treats at home. They only lived a ten minute drive from the preschool.
The happy screams that followed were enough. Andy, Sullivan and their kids left first, giving Maya and Carina a moment alone with just Andrew. Carina didn’t say anything, but enveloped Andrew in a hug, that he returned with a smile on his face. “I’m so proud of you, Bambino. Mamma loves you.”
“Mommy loves you too.” Maya crouched down and opened her arms for a group hug. “We are both so proud of you, Andrew. We always will be. You can always count on us to love you for whoever you become.” Together Maya and Carina would fix the mistakes their own parents made and teach their son acceptance and kindness no matter what. It was only right.
Andrew pulled away from the hug and cupped his moms faces in his hands; first Carina, then Maya. “I love you Mamma. I love you Mommy.” Pause. “Now can we go eat ice cream and play with my cousins?”
Both of his moms let out a laugh. “Yes sweet boy, we can. Today is your day! Are you excited to start Kindergarten in the fall?” Maya got Andrew all buckled up and then began the drive towards home.
“Sorta. Tanner says it’s fun. Clara doesn’t like art but I like art!” Andrew informed them. “I didn’t ask Emmy yet. It’s gooder than fifth grade I bet. Uncle Sully says he’s too old to remember Kindergarten, even though I asked him.” In the front passenger seat, Carina snickered. Sullivan hated the fact that people called him ‘Sully’, especially attached to something as endearing as ‘uncle’. Jack Gibson had taught all the firestation kids what to call everyone to get under their skin just a little. Ever since Andrew had heard his Uncle Sullivan’s nickname, ‘Sully’ was the only name he used. While Sullivan was chagrined about it, Andy loved her nephew for using it to bug her husband.
From the driver’s seat, Maya replied, “I’m sure it is buddy.” In the rear-view mirror, Maya looked at her son and smiled. He was looking more like Carina every day, just with blue eyes. Carina was biologically related to Andrew, conceived with the help of a sperm donor. But he was just as much Maya’s as he was Carina’s, and shared more personality traits with her than his ‘Mamma’. He was smart and caring and worked hard for the most part; just like Maya. He was handsome and sweet and loved life, just like Carina. Though preschool graduation was big, high school graduation was going to be bigger.
Like Andy said before, in eight years Emilia would graduate high school. In twelve years, the twins would follow suit. And Andrew would bring up the rear fourteen years from now. Each time all four adults would cry and wish their babies stayed little for just a while longer. They would marvel over what the kid was like as a baby, as a child and as a teen. Comparing who they were before, and who they had become. Maya knew she wasn’t ready to think about Andrew’s future past Kindergarten, but sometimes she wondered.
Whatever he did with his life, he would be good at it. He would do his best and smile and try to get better no matter what. That was something good Maya had passed on to him. Andrew Bishop-DeLuca was a force to be reckoned with and everything he would one day overcome, would only make him stronger. Though what would never change, would be the undying love and support of his moms. Of his cousins and aunt and uncle. Friends he would meet along the way. Maybe a partner down the road. Andrew was going to love and be loved, that was something Maya was certain about. Even if he was only four years old.
The two families would cheers later, with ice cream cake forks and a small sip of champagne for the adults. They would congratulate Andrew and give him hugs and advice for the future. His cousins would tell him all they could remember about Kindergarten, and Uncle Sully would claim he couldn't remember his days in school, then come up with some crazy tale about his life that had everyone in awe but also giggling. Andy would reminisce about her own kids’ graduations in the past and those to come in the future. Carina would cry more tears and Maya would brush them away like she always did. Life would go on, and things would be okay as long as they remembered they would always have each other.
To new beginnings and new adventures with love always guiding the way.

Why do you think Voldemort never hooked up with another woman but Bella ? Were his choices limited to his ranks ? Were most women afraid of him ? Did he find Bella convenient since she was his DE and married? Don't men get bored with too much devotion ? She let him know how much she cared about him . Was she simply good in bed so he didn't need to look elsewhere? Was her being married another thing he found convenient? Was she convenient or special ? How was he as a 'lover' in your opinion ?
well, you provoke me and i oblige - or as i like to call it: the 100th novel-length essay on bellamort.
the reasons that in my eyes ultimately made bellatrix “the only one” for voldemort are many and various, but at the end of the day it has everything to do with who and how i think he was as a person.
as i said many times before and i feel the duty to keep specifying, over the years i started to consider these characters in a more adult and complex way, imagining them as real life persons and not fairy-tale villains and that’s where my analyses of them come from. sadly what jkr told us about their relationship is close to nothing, so all we have here is thought processes and fervent opinions about their few, filtered by harry’s eyes and painfully public interactions.
now, voldemort’s character, if looked at beyond the pure ideal of power and darkness that he so carefully built around himself, is clearly a human being as deep as the very pit of hell and full of contradictions, twistedness, beauty and voids to fill.
bear with me, because you cannot really understand what i think bellatrix was for him without explaining how i see his psychology first, which i think many many times is overly simplyfied and excused with a shrug and a “well, he’s evil”:
voldemort was born with a genius intelligence and magical talent, the most handsome looks and yet he was not only completely and utterly alone, but also a completely broken human since birth. his mother porpuselly conceived him putting his muggle father under a love potion, so he’s basically the direct offspring of the worst kind of rape: not only his mother abused his father physically, forcing him to have sex with her without his consent, but even emotionally, because she forced him to have feelings for her - as untrue as they might have been. not only that, but voldemort was clearly unloved by his parents from the very start, abandoned by them both in different ways before he was even capable to remember them. he had then been raised and abused since the most tender age in a filthy orphanage where everyone shunned and feared and made him believe he was insane, treating him god’s knows how badly, because he was able to do “things” no one else could, things that made people uncomfortable (think at how bigots can abuse children nowadays with the excuse of possession without magic or the devil even existing, i wouldn’t be surprised if tom as a child was put under monstrous rituals with the hope of exorcising him, it was after all the 30s in a really degraded and poor environment). imagine the hate, the resentment, the fear, the basic instinct to survive and only caring about himself that must have started to boil inside of him in the most dangerous of ways. he surely had the inclination to became what he ultimately became from birth, but goodness how life helped him. he learnt to defend and avenge himself from such a hostile world from the very start, it was a matter of surviving or succumbing. and then, at some point of his young age, he finally started to master and taste something that made him feel good, that made him feel right about himself, he started to enjoy the feeling of being in control of his abusers, of manipulating them, of hurting them, of taking what he wanted from them, the feeling of power - and moreover, a power that directly originated from inside himself - his power. he obviously started to consider himself his own savior, he started to intimately feel special, better than anyone, superior. at the same time he started to hate muggles, because muggles had been his first real source of utter isolation and pain (thing reinforced by the discovery, many years later, that his father, the reason he had to go through all that, was one of them). then, out of the blue, he was told that “more” he had so strong inside of himself was indeed magic. imagine the feeling of validation he must have felt about his uniqueness and superiority, imagine how powerfully his addiction to this wondrous thing he could finally name must have taken definitive root inside of him. magic became his everything, his religion, his purpose, his assurance of never having to feel weak, vulnerable or defenseless ever again. magic was the fuel that alimented everything he literally had in the world and that he ever felt comfortable to ever want (uniqueness, power, superiority, extraordinariness). human relationships were ludicrously out of the question in his eyes since he was a child. human beings were not reliable nor trustworthy. human beings were an utter disappointment, everyone was beneath him and no one really deserved his consideration anyway. magic was everything that really mattered. without magic, he was literally nothing - or at least that’s what life had convinced him of. an existence of his not desperately clutched on and inextricably intertwined with it was not something he even dared to fathom for himself. if you understand this, if you understand the perversion of his dependency towards magic, everything he ever did becomes painfully clear. magic for him was something so fundamental, so deeply mingled with his very being (and this is probably also the reason he indeed was the most powerful wizard that ever lived), that growing up he became more and more desperately obsessed about preserving and strengthening it. this is the root of his every choice, from venturing into the dark arts turning out completely disfigured but incredibly more powerful, to believing he could actually be the first immortal in history, to his entire anti-muggle politics. not only muggles were inferior and disgusting to him, but their mingling with wizards was in his eyes a dreadful threat to the very existence of magic and therefore everything special he ever had been. as a result, he ventured deeper and deeper into it, never to come back. no magic act seemed against nature to him, because he considered himself one with it. this is where his iron-rooted god complex comes from and i think it’s something a little more complicated than simple megalomania. but this is also where his problems with his own humanity (and other’s) started. at some point he really considered himself more than human, of a different species. no aspect of humanity meant anything to him, on the contrary, i think he had terrible problems with every basic human behavior, from caring, to having to eat and drink to survive, to sweating and having sexual impulses - and, of course, to the ultimate form of humanity, dying. i think he was profoundly disgusted by his and other’s physicality, to anything that could remind him of his mortality, even a breath.
and that’s why i don’t really think even as a most handsome young men he even spared girls or women a glance. i think he considered the whole thing far beneath him, as if a god was interested in exchanging fluids with worms. i also think deep down there was simultaneously an intellectual and not only a physical element in his disgust: i think he considered his good looks something pleasant to look at in a mirror (he only deserved the best, even in a face), quite useful, but in general absolutely meaningless and void. not to mention that was his muggle father’s face, the revolting beauty that doomed it as a child and that shamed him every day looking back at him in the mirror. the entire crowds of girls that without any doubt must have fawned over him at school were probably amusing to him in rare particularly good days and insufferable and despicable the rest. no one deserved to be around him, no one could understand his real greatness or void anyway, no matter how low they rightfully bowed - and they had to bow, but from a fair distance. i think the mere thought of sex was something absolutely revolting to him.
until.
now you are probably starting to understand why i needed this endless preface to answer your question.
i think bellatrix was something really unexpected for him, that came relatively late in his life while he was busy with everything else, building an empire and becoming a most powerful immortal creature, and it was extraordinary enough to enkindle something in him, in his humanity, at first even without his consent or him even noticing.
yes, you heard me right, despite all i have just written, lord voldemort was still human being and of a really damaged and flawed kind, no matter what he stubbornly wanted to believe about himself.
i think the first immediate reason that sparkled voldemort’s interest was that bellatrix somehow reminded him of himself. and we do know that he was really able to love only himself. this is the ultimate narcissistic thought process. she was everything he admired of his own qualities: beautiful, dark, incredibly intelligent and magically skilled, proud, ambitious, ruthless, power-angry. they were incredibly similar. but she was at the same time somehow more than him, she actually was what he thought he was supposed have been: the heir of one of the most noble and ancient magical families of britain, pure powerful blood in her veins. it’s obvious he took her under his wing, thinking such a talent was a most valuable addiction to his cause, especially because along all that, bellatrix was able from the start to show him a loyalty, usefulness and adoration of a different, truer kind from all the others. and i think he really valued that, i think he was completely aware she was the only person he could really trust and i think it wasn’t a secondary thing for someone who had never really trusted anyone from the day he was born - that he was aware of it or not. one thing is believing your followers are loyal to you and your cause (an example is snape), another is having the absolute certainty that someone will always be at your side, no matter how desperate the situation - and only bellatrix was ever able to provide him that. he was intelligent enough to tell the difference. i think bellatrix’s unfaltering loyalty and mind-presence at azkaban for fourteen years after his apparent demise was something that really won his respect and admiration. and no, i don’t really think voldemort was the kind of person that gets tired of too much devotion, at least not a true, sincere one, as the kind bellatrix’s provided him from day one. i actually think he was in desperate need of it, consciously or not. voldemort probably had, in my vision, a peculiar relationship with devotion and servility: he thought everyone owed him as much, but was at the same time quite annoyed by too much of it (killing people who said too much “my lords”). but not too much of bellatrix’s, and it’s probably because of the fact hers was of a deeper and more honest kind of devotion.
we don’t have to forget bellatrix was almost as egocentric, proud and vain as him, this is the woman who sits on chairs as if they were thrones. she was wizarding royalty and she sure as hell acted accordingly, she was used to have everyone bow to her (and if they didn’t, she made them). and the fact that she, this fearless tigress, only bowed to him, out of admiration and not blind fear (even if a healthy component of fear was indeed present in her as well), was certainly a reason of great pleasure and amusement to him. don’t even forget i totally believe bella amused him as hell. can you imagine anyone else rendered a blathering idiot in front of him, following him so closely, too closely, speaking without asking, etc, who would have lived to tell the tale? bella was allowed things no one else was, pet name included.
she was one hell of a woman, painfully like him, that literally melted and would have died any moment for him. this started to move things inside of him that i’m sure at first he didn’t like, especially the physical impulses. i said many times i’m convinced at first he was resolute into killing her. the fact that in the end he didn’t tells the tale for me. who knows, maybe the killing in the middle turned into other primordial activities. sexually, i do think he had the need to use a fair amount of violence, not so much because he wanted to hurt her, but to deal with the mortality/humanity aversion, and i think bellatrix was the only woman who was mentally built to not only understand, but enjoy that. i think bella’s legs went week in front of his displays of power, no matter if the victim was her. i wasn’t really a matter of dominating her spirit, but totally possessing her body for him. funnily enough, i think he absolutely respected her in his own twisted way and that she totally thought the same. that respect had nothing to do with their physical and political power dynamics.
again, they were absurdly similar and well-matched. i think at some point she became invaluable to him in a similar way magic was, so much he actually risked his own life and failure to ensure she wasn’t captured again. everyone else was disposable, but not his bella. he could have punished her the rare times she let him down, but as a death eater, not as a person. i think bellatrix was the only case in which the two things in his mind were actually separate even if linked.
they fond each other in darkness and voldemort, lover of uniqueness, surely understood the extraordinary quality of such a relationship. he wanted only the best for himself, he deserved as much, and bellatrix was the actual best in his mind. she, having a similar thought, had inside of her a dramatic and overwhelming pull towards darkness, power and violence, and he embodied them all and much more in her eyes.
so, in conclusion (because i could go on for several other hours), for sure bellatrix was also, along with all the other things, convenient to him, not so much because she was married, because i think neither of them gave an effing fuck about it, but because she was perfect for him in basically every single way (best death eater, genius, skilled, pureblood, devious, not afraid of his darkness but drawn to it, loyal, submitted to him but only to him), as if he himself had carefully molded out of clay his ideal match.
as to how i think voldemort was as a lover - really, really painfully disturbing, as his whole character. i don’t think him really able to separate passion and violence, for example, and i see him really prone to dangerous mood swings, trust issues and destructive tendencies. he was also surely overly possessive of bellatrix, his bella. he was the only one entitled to treat her as he pleased, no one else, no matter if he had just crucioed the hell out of her. lay a finger on her and you are dead. also, i don’t really think he ever told her just how much she meant for him, on the contrary i think whenever he thought she was getting too close and him too attached, he would mercilessly push her away, even violently.
but at the same time i see him quite thoughtful and appreciative of everything bellatrix was, much more than any other man or husband of that society. he really thought she was the best besides himself. that he told it out loud or not, i think he was well aware of all bellatrix’s qualities, especially the ones she directed towards him, and was intimately and very deeply proud of her. i think he was really grateful for her existence and the moment she died he just knew everything was lost.

2005-
For a lot of people social media simply enhances their lives, they don't take it too personally; Jenelle Potter was not one of those people. She didn't have any sort of a life at all outside of social media, meaning Facebook was her entire world. Jenelle was a grown woman of thirty still living with her domineering parents, Barbara and Marvin "Buddy" Potter, who still treated their daughter like she was 10. That's not just a random number, 8 - 10 years of age was what Barbara and Buddy told everyone their daughter's mental capacity was. Jenelle did not drive, she didn't hold any sort of a job nor any real responsibilities; the woman was treated as a small child, complete with a set bed time and all.
When Jenelle met Tracy Greenwell, a young woman who worked at the local pharmacy which the Potters frequented to fill Jenelle's diabetes medications in 2009, Tracy took pity on the sad shut-in. In Jenelle she saw a lonely young woman and Tracy took it upon herself to include Jenelle in her own group of friends; her biggest mistake was introducing this woman to her brother, 36 year old Billy Payne. Soft hearted like his sister, Billy decided to take this girl under his wing, he even took Jenelle rock climbing and to the county fair. But you know that old saying: no good deed goes unpunished. Though the man of her dreams always kept the friendship platonic and did his best not to send out the wrong signals, Jenelle fell hopelessly in love.
When Billy first began seeing 23 year old Billie Jean Hayworth, he still did his best to include his female pal in his life; this wasn't an easy feat as Jenelle was mighty jealous. Though she had, without her parent's knowledge, been dating Billy's cousin, Jamie Curd, Jenelle was still fixated on the man who had been so kind to her. Jenelle felt that Billy was hers before Billie Jean showed up; she treated the woman she deemed to be her adversary like dirt! When Billie Jean came up pregnant, Billy did what most honorable men would do: he realized it was time to put an end to his friendship with a woman who refused to respect the mother of his unborn child.
Billy was so happy with his beautiful new life; he and Billie Jean became engaged, moved in together, and soon they were blessed with a perfect baby boy named Tyler. The young couple dreamed of a wonderful future as a family, a dream which they would never be allowed to fulfill. While the happy New family were living in bliss, Jenelle was beside herself; she was obsessing, and she was plotting.
Sometime during Billie Jean's pregnancy Jenelle began to complain that she was being cyber stalked, threatened, and harassed. At one point a stone was found in the Potters yard; on this stone were written the names Billy Payne and Billie Jean, the pair who Jenelle claimed to be behind the hate campaign against her. In turn, Jenelle's online pals began leaving threatening messages for Billy and Billie Jean. There had been so much tension between Billie Jean and Jenelle that the real life group of friends who had recently taken her under their wing completely stopped talking to her; Jenelle was alone with her parents again. Just one person remained by her side: Billy's cousin, Jamie Curd.
Throughout all of this drama, Billy and Billie Jean had kept Jenelle on their Facebook friend's list, until this point. It was finally just too much drama for the happy couple; Jenelle was now unfriended. This was absolutely catastrophic for Jenelle, and she had no intention of letting anyone move on with their lives! Sadly Billy, Billie Jean, nor their friends had any inking that they were in danger; why would they? Jenelle seemed physically harmless, at best she could inspire some hate from strangers via the interwebs. The happy couple believed they were strong enough to weather Jenelle's storm; sadly, they were dead wrong.
When Jenelle's cyber stalking began, a man who identified himself as Chris came out of the woodwork; he began writing to Jenelle's mom, Barbara, online. Chris claimed to have known Jenelle from school, and he was now a CIA agent. Though Barbara could not remember ever meeting this strange man in person, the two became fast friends; they grew so incredibly close that Barbara began to refer to Chris as her son. Chris was supposedly keeping an eye on Billie Jean and her friends, and he was growing more concerned by the day; Jenelle was in imminent danger. He stated that the happy couple had been abusing hard drugs, Billie was a known sex worker, and they planned to kidnap and rape Jenelle because she was a virgin and she was so very pretty. If all of this weren't bad enough, Chris claimed to have proof that this evil couple were planning to cut off Jenelle's beautiful head! Upon hearing this, Barbara panicked; Buddy, Jenelle's Marine corps Vietnam veteran father who had some serious health issues, was brought into the conversation.
Now, if you're a parent you can probably imagine how Barbara and Buddy felt after learning that that there was a plan to kidnap, rape, murder, and decapitate their mentally challenged daughter; it must've been sheer panic! Most of us would be livid, but as adults we would probably still run to the police right away; Buddy and Barbara didn't do that. They were told by CIA Chris that time was running out: if they wanted to save their sweet, innocent daughter's life, they had to act right away! At this point Jenelle's close friend, Jamie, was brought into the fold; the white knights who loved Jenelle quickly formulated a plan to save her.
In the early morning hours of January 31st of 2012, Buddy and Jamie entered Billie Jean and Billy's home. Billy was shot on the head and his throat was slashed as he lay in bed; Billie Jean was shot in the face while holding her infant son on the couch. Baby Tyler was not harmed, but he was left alone in the home with his murdered parents, covered in his Mama's blood. Just before fleeing, Jamie planted drug paraphernalia at the scene in hopes of throwing the investigation off. It was several hours before the corpses were discovered, and the poor baby was rescued from his dead Mama's arms.
Since everyone in town knew of the ongoing war between Billy, Billie Jean, and Jenelle, of course she was an immediate person of interest. Not that anyone believed the childlike 30 year old was capable of anything like this, but police still had to question her; maybe she knew something that could lead them to their killer. Investigators visited the Potters home for a quick interview; Jenelle and her parents claimed they knew nothing of what had happened to the murdered couple, only that they had been harassing Jenelle because they were jealous of her beauty. The family played it cool, and it's very likely they would've gotten away with it all, were it not for Jamie.
Upon hearing through the grapevine that Jamie had been dating Jenelle, the man was brought in for questioning by police. Now Jamie was not an accomplished liar; he failed a polygraph test, and soon confessed. He admitted to entering the victim's home with Buddy Potter; Buddy had been the one who slashed Billy's throat then shot both the man and woman in the face. According to Jamie, he was merely guilty of planted drugs at the scene to throw the investigation off. Once Billy and Billie Jean were good and dead, the two men left their victim's baby alone with his murdered parents. Buddy, who police had originally believed to be physically incapable of committing the crime due to a myriad of health issues, was brought in for questioning. A few hours later he placed a phone call to his wife in which he admitted, "I did it". Even now still had no clue exactly what they were dealing with, or how strange this case would become; not until Jamie asked if the CIA was there to talk with him yet. Police were taken aback; why in the world would the CIA be involved in a small town murder case like this? Then Jamie dropped a bombshell: the double murder had been completely planned out by a CIA agent named Chris.
Upon a search of the Potter home police seized many items, including the family computer and Buddy's truck. In the bed of said truck were hundreds of papers which had been shredded up and thrown in a trash bag; these papers contained printed conversations between the Potters and CIA Chris. But who exactly was this Chris guy? Investigators tracked down a man named Chris Tjaden who had gone to school with Jenelle; this Chris was not a government agent, but a police officer. Though the mysterious CIA Chris had used all of Chris Tjaden's photos as his own, the officer was completely unaware of the situation; matter of fact, he barely even remembered a Jenelle from high school! It was obvious that someone had been impersonating this officer online. When investigators began looking at the Potter family's computers, lo and behold, they discovered CIA Chris's messages had been sent from Jenelle's IP address, and she'd contacted this man by writing to her very own email address! But that's not all they found: remember all of that harassment which Jenelle had suffered through, all of those threatening messages sent by Billie Jean and her friends? Every bit of it had been sent by Jenelle to make her look like a victim! And all those messages which Billie Jean had been receiving from Jenelle's online friends? Every single one of them had been sent from Jenelle's computer as well. Jenelle had created dozens upon dozens of false profiles; she spent a good deal of her life pretending to be fake people, and creating a feud in which no one besides herself truly partook in. Upon feeling slighted by Billy, Jenelle had come up with a plan to get even; this plan included catfishing her very own mother! She invented lies about her targets, and began harassing herself to make it look like she was being victimized. In one online message Jenelle, using a different name, wrote, “F*ck you and Bill and your f*cking so-called little baby. F*ck them. I hope they die, die, die, and that baby”. Jenelle mentioned baby Taylor's death quite often, she wanted this innocent baby dead. Jenelle was really nothing but a master manipulator.
Upon her arrest, Jenelle just couldn't comprehend why she was in trouble. She didn't personally kill anyone, how could she possibly be held criminally responsible? Jenelle had truly believed that she could trick everyone who loved her into committing cold blooded murder, they'd pay the price, and she would walk away scott free! Thankfully the law saw things differently.
Jamie took a plea deal: in exchange for his testimony against Buddy, he received 25 years; Buddy was given two life sentences. Jenelle and her mother Barbara both loudly proclaimed their innocence; they seemed to believe they could manipulate their way out of their legal trouble. Barbara swore that she would not lie for anyone's sake, not even her daughter's! Jenelle's defense was that it would've been impossible for her to mastermind this sort of a crime with her 4th grader mentality; she continued to claim that she'd truly suffered bullying by scores of people online, and that CIA Chris was really real! When it was mentioned that she'd been not only receiving messages from but also contacting CIA Chris by sending messages too very own email address, Jenelle retorted that this was possible because CIA Chris had continuously hacked her account no matter how many times she changed the password. When it was proven that the real Chris was not involved in the scenario at all, Jenelle said she wasn't sure of CIA Chris's true identity, but that she had a good feeling it was someone she'd attended school with him. It was all so far fetched, and the jury saw right through it. Jenelle and her mother are both serving 2 concurrent life sentences for 1st degree murder and conspiracy to commit 1st degree murder. Jenelle will be 80 years of age when she is finally up for parole.
*About the drugs which Jamie planted at the scene, I read that in a book years ago. I wanna say that it was a crack pipe left on the porch. Though I definitely remember reading about it, I can not find a citation to back this up; please take that fact with a grain of salt.
There is another player in this scenario, though very distant she may hold some insight: Jenelle's estranged sister, Christie Groover. Christie says that her sister was always socially awkward. Their parents forced her to make friends, but they were forever going on about how "different" Jenelle had been. Christie got the hell out of Dodge more than a decade before the murders, and she completely cut her family off. After losing all control of Christie, mother likely began to focus all of her attention on the other daughter. To say that Barbara was over protective would be an understatement; by treating Jenelle like a 10 year old forever, she would always have control. The spoiled Jenelle was never going to abandon her parents. When someone threatened to take away the only child they had left, Barbara and Buddy flipped; Buddy did the unthinkable. That's my take on it anyhow.

Oh. And baby Taylor is being raised by his parent's family, he's reportedly doing very well.

You see.. As a child of my parents. And my siblings... We have same common. Didn't feel anything towards our parents jobs and their successfulness of studies and their salary amounts. Every of our school friends or the old one are envy of us. The common things we shared was, "Wow. Your parents and your house and etc. You basically are the high status type of person and you must be very proud of your life and you guys are rich!! I mean... Your dad and your mom... I want too.." BITCH. I DIDN'T FEEL ANYTHING TOWARDS IT. Move out from our sight please if you keeps on saying anything like that. I lives in hard way and suffered. You think my father wants to give his loads of money or cash to me? No! Not even once. You see.... I am in suffering. That is why I said my life is a tragic. Have powerful parents but treated lowly. Badly. I till had to walked from my house and go by bus or cab just to find jobs. I am independant and I am all alone. No matter how powerful my parents and my life style seems to you all irl here I HATE IT. I feel caged 24/7. I have mental illness and bad father. Although he is an architect and made lots of MONEY IRL HE IS STILL AN ABUSER AND ABOVE VIOLENCE. I lives with a genius psychopath that made lots of money through his career and because of super high IQ. He doesn't have EQ. EMPATHY. HE HAS IQ BUT NO BRAIN IN KINDNESS AND EMPATHY. HE HAVE LOW KINDNESS. Me? I have both but I am more towards EQ. BUT A Cold Empathy. I am quiet cold but I have empathy. I have high. My father has low. I wasn't that successful although my parents is. They both are. Our house is big. But our happiness is so low and small. Did YOU SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE? FUCK THESE PEOPLE. WE AREN'T HAPPY. Cussed and abusiveness is a well known to our family. My father is studied architect, good at Science and Math also English. My mother is good at Economics and History also Art. She is a highschool teacher and taught Arts and History also some religious etc and used to teach the our main language to her fellow old students back in 1998 to 2000. And then she started on teaching at Highschool where full of BOYS. BOYS ONLY HIGHSCHOOL. I called it pain in the ass systems of all boys. Because I used to sit in her classroom and YOU KNOW BOYS. THEY CAN BE ASSHOLE AND RUDE ALSO NO MANNER ALSO PLAYFUL AND HEARTACHE. MOST OF THEM ARE. ME? THE FIRST CHILD, BORN WITH NATURAL TALENTS OF PSYCHOLOGY AND EMPATHY ALSO I STUDIED CODING AND WEBSITES ALSO TOOK SIDE COURSE OF PSYCHOLOGY AND COUNSELING AND ANYTHING RELATED TO IT AND BAM I GO DOWN LIKE ICARUS OR FALLEN ANGEL WITH DARK WINGS BURNED INTO GROUND AND AS IF I AM ANGEL TURNED INTO FALLEN ANGEL AND THEN LIVES AND TREATED LIKE FREAKING DEMONS. TRAGIC. MY FATHER TOOK OUT ME FROM TAKING FURTHER STUDIES AND PERMANENTLY BANNED ME FROM COLLEGE AND POLYTECHNIC ALSO UNIVERSITY. FOREVER. MY NAME WAS ON THE LIST OF STUDENTS THAT SHOULD ENTER THE PROGRAMS AND GO FOR FURTHER STUDY. But?? I can't because my father is an asshole who took me out from it. He took my future away. My ambition was to be a psychologist, lecturer that taught psychology and counseling also analyzing humans imperfections and any of anything that related to humans mentality and their behaviorness. I love it. That's the only thing I am very good at. After weapons and darkness. I felt like a freaking Kaneki. He is too can't go for further studies. After he went missing during college times and before he can go make his success life. Why? BECAUSE YAMORI (ABUSER AND GOURMET EATER, TORTURER) TOOK HIM AND ABUSED HIM FOR MORE THAN 5 TO 8 DAYS STRAIGHT. LIKE ME. BUT I GOT IT MORE THAN HIM. SINCE I WAS IN EARLY AGE. I WAS ABUSED AND TORTURED. BY MY OWN FATHER TILL I GOT MENTAL ILLNESS AND MENTAL DISORDER. So.... No. >8'U 💢💢 *hisses and locks door instantly* *hides under blanket* *never wants to go out*
