like yeah shauna fucked up before they left for nationals, but so did jackie. they were going to have a very ugly fight about their actions towards each other and their different needs and then they’d spend some time apart at college and come back over a holiday break and apologize and cry into each others’ arms. she was still going to live in a world with jackie and their friends all in it, where she didn’t have to eat people and kill people and birth a baby and have him die and learn how to surgically prepare a human body as meat.

she was a teenager who didn’t communicate and then lashed out, but what she went through in the wilderness made her worse. who would have thought?
