In another, better world Cassian would be reading all the romances Nesta reads and taking notes just as she does with his war texts, and he would start analyzing the way he communicates because he wants to be like one of these men in these books written by women. So, Cassian starts doing things like he’d expect one of these characters to do and suddenly... Nesta feels a little bit hot every time Cassian’s near. She gets blushy even. Flustered. Nesta & Cassian Domestic Life Headcanons

Nesta had to put a ban on Cassian touching her books after he put them back on the shelf upside down and out of order. He also dog eared pages of books she had loaned him and one book in particular had crinkled pages almost like someone brought it into the bath with him.

Cassian can't understand the idea of a throw pillow and thinks that all pillows should and can be used to sleep with. Nesta has tried over and over again to explain to him the idea of decorative pillows but it goes nowhere.

Cassian learned how to cook Nesta's favorite childhood food by having Elain teach him. During an evening when Nesta had a particularly rough day, Cassian whipped out his cooking skills and made her an Acheron family meal.

Nesta always hangs Cassian's weapons up for him because he seems to be incapable of putting them away when he gets back and insists on just dropping them in the doorway.

Cassian loses things constantly, from weapons to mail to his own shoes and it drives Nesta insane. Oftentimes, Cassian will be looking for something and ask Nesta if she has seen it. When he can hear her walking down the hall to come find it for him he starts panicking and searching frantically, knowing she will find it immediately and give him "the look".

Nesta braids Cassian's hair before he goes to training and insists he make an actual hair care routine. He doesn't fully understand why conditioner is important but he knows it makes Nesta's hair smell like flowers so he isn't too bothered.

Whenever Cassian goes somewhere for a few days he leaves notes around the House of Wind for Nesta to find. They say cute little things like "Thinking about you", "Love you lots", "I bet your butt looks great". She keeps them in a box on her bookshelf and reads them when she needs a pick me up.

Cassian and Nesta still practice and train together, but they take Sunday morning off to go have breakfast in Velaris, just the two of them. Cassian orders the biggest breakfast with the most amount of protein he can get and Nesta settles for something lighter but always wants strawberry crepes for dessert.

Cassian sleeps hot while Nesta sleeps cold. The House of Wind helps chill and heat the bed right down the middle so both of them sleep well.

Nesta started a formal book club with Gwyn, Emerie & The House and Cassian has to leave and go "find something else to do" so he doesn't keep coming into the room to distract them.

Cassian buys Nesta a new weapon for every holiday and occasion and calls it a "we" gift.

You had been friends with Nesta for a while before she introduced you to Cassian

She was very protective of you bc you didn’t know the IC and you were one of her only friends outside of that social bubble

But you and Cassian instantly got along which made her so happy

After a few months they both had convinced you to come train with the Valkyries

“Come y/n! You said you dreamed about swinging a sword and having muscles. Come train pretty please?” And how could you say no to Nesta

You agreed and Cassian flew you up the the House

Nesta was speechless when she saw you in the fighting leathers she gifted you

They hugged your body just right and your ass didn’t look bad either

Nesta started you off easy with some light arm work outs to build your strength

“Ok, now we’re going to…” Nesta trails off as you put the weights back

You give her a confused look as to why she’s looking at you like you’re a complete stranger

“Nesta? What’s wrong?” “Nothing. Uumm…You’ll have to finish with Cass. Feyre needs me, I’m sorry I’ll see you later.”

You finish training with Cassian and he flies you home

On the way to your house you ask him about Nesta’s weird behavior, “I feel like I did something wrong. Will you ask her for me, please Cass?” “Of course. I. Sure it’s nothing.”

As you say goodbye to Cassian and walk up your front steps he feels it. The bond branching out to you along with the thread to Nesta

He was so shocked he spaced out flying back to the house

He and Nesta kept their space until dinner time

They ate in silence both not wanting to bring up that they felt another person bonded to them

Cassian decided he hated the silence enough to say something, “y/n asked me if she did something to make you upset during training.”

“No. She didn’t it was just…I felt something weird and needed to lay down.” “I felt something weird too Nes.” Their unsure gazes meet and tears fall from Nesta’s eyes

“I like her too Cass. And…” “I felt the bond. To both of you.” “I did too!”

They spent the rest of the night talking about their feelings for you

You invited them over for lunch the next day and that’s when you all talked about the bond

“If you guys don’t want this I completely understand. You two have a good thing going, it’s been you two for so long I don’t want to ruin anything.”

Nesta spoke up first after looking to Cassian for guidance, “we do want you, y/n. We have feelings for you and want to be with you.”

They stay with you that night and you just hold each other

A Concept-

Azriel has his book pov and walks into the living room and pauses to see Nesta and Cassian on the couch…

Nesta sitting up, legs up on the coffee table. Cassian laying on the couch, head in Nesta’s lap. Nesta has an opened book in one hand , the other hand- softly running her hand through her mate’s hair. The glow of the dying fire fills the room in shadows and orange hues.

Azriel sees Cassian’s eyes closed in contentment. Cassian murmurs something softly, Nesta pauses in her book to gaze down to respond. Azriel notes how peaceful Nesta’s face is. Very rarely now does Azriel see her tense, guarded face, that she constantly wore as armor. Not here in the House. Her home.

Azriel pauses to take in his two friends, whose path was difficult to find each other. To see each other. To love one another.

So many moments like this living room scene- now a constant in their lives. A small smile graces Az’s face before continuing to his room.

Nessian as parents

Cassian teaching his small daughter to fight and he elaborately collapses to the floor in mock pain when she tries to push him. Nesta watching from the sidelines and calling out tips “aim for shins” or “that rib right there!! Stomp on it!” to her enthusiastic daughter.

Cassian teaching her self defence from a young age, falling over and fake dying every now and then. His daughter bragging “one day soon I’ll be as good as you dad.” Cassian is quiet and serious for once “ if you aren’t better than me one day, I’ll have failed you.”

Nesta quietly reading when alone with her, especially when Cassian’s away. They pass hours in silence. Sometimes Nesta peers over the top of her book just to glance at her daughter buried in her own book.

She’s the perfect mix of her father’s humour and loyalty yet her mother’s wit and defensive nature.

Cassian has Nesta’s picture in his wallet and you cannot tell me otherwise. In a modern au he has a picture. In something canon compliant, he has a tiny painting of her face that Feyre paints him or he gets from the HoW don’t care which, that he always has in his pocket because if he is going to die on any battlefield, her face is going to be the last thing he sees. It’s proof that he is loved and has loved beyond measure. Cassian considers it his lucky charm and he kisses it when Nesta’s not there, especially when he’s had a hard day and he can’t get to her quick enough. Also he’s always pulling it out and being like this is my mate ❤️
