Continuation of this one but not required

Holidays don’t last forever though, and soon enough both you and Soap are called back to base. You bring your gifts with you along with a few new clothes that his mom insisted you take. They’re old and if they get torn she doesn’t care, cause at least they’ll be used.

When you land you thank the others for their gifts, and then Price walks in. You’re about to thank him when you see the look on his face. He asks to talk to you in his office. The team goes a bit quiet as you nod and put your things in your room before going to Price’s office.

Your handler is missing. They don’t know where he is, or why he did what he did, but at the moment you were in the custody of the 141 until the program decided to move you. If anything was suspicious or off you had to bring it up immediately, and there was a chance you could be taken away from the base by the program. You had known about some of this before, but Price brought it up now because there was more information to give to the whole team. Two new hybrids would be joining the team, and if things went wrong with them there was a chance you would be removed. The base considered unfit for you to stay in.

When the two new members from KorTac landed everyone was there to greet them including Hunter. You were there as well, watching as they approached. Something odd came over you though. Maybe it was nerves or something but you moved closer to Hunter as did the rest of the team. You stepped a little closer to them, so your arms brushed. The rest of the team acted on it a bit stronger, with Price wrapping his tail around Hunter’s leg again. It was out of instinct, as Hunter had become a bit like the pack parent.

One was shorter and wore a mask but had a tiger tail. Didn’t exactly smell like a tiger though. His gear was a bit slimmer, likely the rest of it being stored in his bag. You could make out some muscle underneath his clothing. The other wore a mask but it was more like a veil with eye holes. With the helmet it made you think of a creepy sheet ghost. Not to mention he was far bigger and had an odd smell you weren’t expecting. It smelled a bit like sulfur. Price introduces himself and Hunter to the other two who react with arms crossed from the tiger and the larger one looking down toward Hunter.

The urge to stay close dissipated and you step away from Hunter. You go around the larger men to get a better look at the newcomers. They both look at you, but stay somewhat expressionless, even with their faces covered.

Neither Horangi or König had really been expecting such a young recruit. Horangi is surprised to say the least, knowing there was a sort of temp on the team but not a kid. König is uneasy, not by you but your general presence. He was aware of a younger hybrid but not this young. Your staring makes him shift a little in place as he breaks eye contact. The fact you have rabbit ears and antlers throws them off a bit more. At first look you seem quite innocent, but with your camo cap, black tee and cargo pants…you’re not what they expect.

ASH ILY! What would 'for want of a neil' be about? (@stabbyfoxandrew) (you don't have to answer today i know wipw is your busy day)

OH AERIE YOU KNOW I'M WEAK AGAINST PEOPLE ASKING ME ABOUT MY DUMB THOUGHTS ILY2.

It is 90% pun at the moment but the main thought right now is an Andrew going through the events of the Trilogy kind knowing what happened the 1st time but for some reason....Neil isn't there.

He knows Neil is supposed to be there.

So it's Andrew chasing the ghost of Neil, trying to find him, did he dream him all up, was Neil Josten just a beautiful pipe dream? But he keeps finding evidence that Neil exists. It feels like Neil is smoke in his fingers, he can almost see him, catches wisps of his scent, but when he reaches out Neil isn't solid enough to grasp.

So he keeps searching and things change around him because Neil Josten isn't there. Some good and some bad but it's hard to feel good about any of it when Neil isn't there.

There's also the concerning gap in memory before he found himself looking down at some new recruit who wasn't the boy he wanted to burn the world down for.

omg reverse riko au is making me feel so ill..... please let us know if you have any more thoughts abt riko kayleigh and kevin legend.....

I DO my idea is that its around the same age kevin and riko met in canon so tetsuji kicks the bucket when riko is 7/8 and riko is (very forcibly) removed from the nest and sidelined to kayleigh as a new moriyama asset from the main branch takes over the nest. riko struggles a lot with the change because he is very young and very scared and he’s used to horrible things at tetsuji’s hand, which means that he doesn’t trust kayleigh and finds kevin entirely too weird. it’s honestly really cute because i think at this point obviously 7 year old kevin wants to befriend him but riko is such an anxious ball of anger that most of their interactions are like

baby riko: what do you WANT from me. go AWAY!!!! NOW

baby kevin: (heavy irish accent) nothing i think. do you want a bite of my sandwich?

anyway i think riko and kayleigh do get along but he never really considers her his mother or even godmother, for a long time he thinks of her as his Benefactor until the child therapy starts hitting and she becomes Aunt Kayleigh and then after a few more years he can be loosely convinced to refer to her as auntie once or twice a year. his second son syndrome never really leaves him; in the upcoming years riko struggles with the idea that he’s anything But an add-on to the days and still overworks himself to death trying to be acknowledged by kengo, but it’s leaps better just from being outside the nest and having people to look out for him

riko and kevin have some rough patches, especially during riko’s first years with the days. because kevin is an easy target and riko is afraid of kayleigh he ends up letting a lot of that anger out on kevin, though obviously at this point they are children and riko’s anger manifests in some mild bullying and name calling. i think kevin doesn’t even understand it most of the time 😭 riko has been around grown ups his entire life so his adult level insults make no sense to kevin’s seven year old mind. nevertheless after kayleigh tells him to stop picking on kevin riko does respect it (first out of fear, then later because they actually get along) and they go on to become brothers with only a slight tendency towards antagonism. riko’s jealousy of kevin is still a big part of their relationship and i think even more so when college applications roll around, and he’s even more worried when wymack comes into the picture, but it never culminates into anything as horrible as hand breaking because riko has an actual outlet and a support system :) it’s mostly a yelling match that eventually turns to getting scolded by kayleigh for acting like barbarians

I just wonder if it would be seeing Mk in critical condition or something as simple as them having a nice moment together that triggers his "oh shit...i got attached.." realization

the problem is that unlike other swks, labyrinth swk didnt choose mk, this is just a kid who happens to have a piece of his staff, swk didnt follow him around to make sure he has a good heart, or to make sure hes capable of wielding swks power, swk literally thinks that mk is going to end up dead.

his last memories of outside his pocket dimension were when there was a huge war and hundreds of his comrades died in front of him, hes really expecting it to happen again.

he does very much get attatched to mk, but in his eyes thats almost worse

Bedtime and Breakfast

Hook shifted in his bed, he couldn't sleep as usual. His mind couldn't rest, if it wasn't flooded with plans to finally defeat Peter Pan it was flooded with regret. A knock at his door made him groan in annoyance. He opened it expecting Smee but instead, the newest recruit Ruby stood in his doorway illuminated partially by the moon.

"What do you want?" Hook asked too tired to pretend to be happy. "I don't have a place to sleep." Ruby said simply. Hook rubbed the sleep from his eyes frustrated, of course it would be inappropriate for her to share living quarters with the others. Crew member or not she was still a little girl. He looked at the star, then at the girl. "I'm sure we have a room for you somewhere...." He said stretching cracking his back back into place.

After a bit of scrounging they found an unused cabin away from the rest of the crew. "Will this work?" Hook asked groggily. "Yeah." She said pulling Hook inside with her. "What are you doing?" Hook asked too tired to really fight the situation. "You have to watch over me until I fall asleep." She stated, pulling a big cozy chair next to her new bed and pushing Hook into it.

She climbed into bed and snuggled under the covers. "Why?" Was all Hook could really bother to say in protest as he sank into the upholstery. "It's your job." She replied dismissively. Hook was too tired to really say anything in response though he disagreed. Against all the odds, Hook fell asleep soon after Ruby.

Even more impressive was how it was dreamless, but nothing surprised Hook more than when he woke up at a reasonable hour. He looked over to the empty bed next to him, apparently Ruby woke up earlier than him. He got up and stretched, what did she mean it was his job to watch over her?

He was her Captain, not her babysitter. He would've given her a stern talking to, if it wasn't for the fact he was in a good mood and he would rather not spoil it.

He went to check on Smee who would typically be making breakfast and was surprised to see Ruby and Smee chatting away. He was apparently giving her cooking lessons, Hook closed the door and went back to his office. No time to dwell on trivial things, he had work to do and plans to make. Perhaps it was time to incorporate the newest recruit into his plans.

Soon after he began working, Ruby brought him breakfast and ate her own while watching him. "What are you planning?" She asked ready to start the day's adventure. Hook took the opportunity to rant to her about his new perfect plan that couldn't possibly fail. He ignored Smees wide smile as he watched them talk.
