Alex Rider S03E01 Reaction

So I've already watched all of s3, but I decided for some reason to keep a liveblog & take a moment after every episode to write down my thoughts/predictions/questions at the time. Some of it is very amusingly wrong, but I'm going to share it anyway because I do always enjoy reading liveblogs/reaction posts myself so maybe other people will want to read it too.

Note that while this contains no spoilers for later eps, I have read the book and reference it, so warning for book spoilers and me being unable to stop comparing the two.

I am petty but I don’t like Alex sharing what Yassen told him with people lol. But I guess they had to make it a group project for the show and it’s not the stuff with his dad which is what Alex in the books felt was too private to share so oh well

Alex thinking Yassen wasn’t lying to him 😭 and he does seem to have kept the part about his dad a secret!

oh damn he wants to destroy Scorpia!! and Kyra also wanting him to, that could cause interesting conflict when he joins them later

Love the Alex/Kyra ship fuel with the hurt/comfort scene

ahslfhs how did they even find that villa tho? LIke I thought that was just the piece of wall Mrs Rothman was photographed in front of, surely that gives them no clues about where she’s staying?

And not to be mean but Kyra did kinda bring the stabbing on herself ashdflhs. Going off on her own because she got bored and then expecting Alex to do the fighting and treating the fight weirdly casually

It’s interesting how they seem to have changed Scorpia’s structure/origin story what with Mrs Rothman being elected and there being no client for this operation.

Them referencing Alex getting in with Tom setting fireworks in the books... i mean it's a nice reference but also actually that was more fun than Kyra just being able to hack their way in ngl ahsdlfhs. Not really the show’s fault, but modern tech & computer tricks make spy stories more boring

Also Alex just walked into the party in his suit and honestly this is one of those plots that only works because Otto is not a teenager. If he actually looked like a teen, he would have stood out waaaay too much (which was actually a concern in the book)

Alex grabbing champagne and later putting it back down again haha good way to blend in, I suppose

Getting his phone out?? In the exhibition?? So rude

Love the trend of doctors/scientists in Alex Rider wanting to be paid more for their work. Honestly they deserve it because they won’t even get to publish their extraordinary findings

Nile please how are you surprised at Alex attacking you asdfs

Shame we didn’t get Nile overpowering him like in the books, the difference in their fighting skills was so much bigger there, but I think they made Alex more of a fighter in the show. In the books he mostly needs to rely on the element of surprise and usually when he’s in a fight he’s outmatched and needs to use some form of trickery/his environment to win while show!Alex actually has pretty good fighting skills

I love Nile’s actor but I wish he could have actually taken Alex down like in the book, the way he loses Alex and doesn’t even realise it & thinks he died makes him look a lot less competent tbh

How did Alex climb up there?? And more importantly, how is he getting down haha

I get the feeling Yassen isn't gonna show up until Alex is with Mrs Rothman lol but at least we got to hear his final words ot Alex like four times

Overall

Really exciting, love seeing Malta and I’m intrigued at the differences between the book and the show and where it will lead.

Thoughts/predictions

I imagine the race Tom’s brother mentioned will play a role and I liked the little bit we got with Tom about his grades being bad and maybe wanting to drop out. I guess Tom’s parents aren’t going through their divorce in the show? Also really enjoyed Alex and Kyra being more invested in the investigation than Tom and how they are apparently planning to take down Scorpia for their families.

I liked how we got to see more from Julia Rothman and Scorpia already and I’m intrigued by what Invisible Sword will be. Love Max having his ‘I have grandkids now’ moment and trying to talk Julia Rothman down and her being like ‘no I want to kill’. Looooved Nile telling Mrs Rothman to shoot him if he ever lost the appetite for killing.

I also really liked Alex talking about his dad and how he had nothing to do with spying and how his world got turned upside down when he learned about his uncle being a spy and now it’s happening again.

What is Invisible Sword in this?

What’s the deal with Julia inheriting her place at the table? Not sure if I like the new origin story for Scorpia but I’m intrigued by the way they have a council now instead of an executive board and how it changes the vibes.

Are Alex and Tom and Kyra gonna fight?

Not in the sense of misunderstanding your intentions but just straight up not reading all of your answers to the point where it shows IN THEIR RESPONSES! Sorry not sorry, but if you cannot handle a multi-para high-lit writer, don’t try to roleplay with them! Letting them create paragraphs for you, only for you to ignore or skim it is a dick move!

𝐏𝐋𝐎𝐓𝐒 𝐎𝐑 𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐒? : My most controversial take, but I almost prefer memes more than extremely long and drawn-out plots taking place over weeks, because, no matter how much I adore a dynamic, that commitment eventually does wear me out y'know??

𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐖𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄? : UHHHHH- whenever I get the time and that hyper fixation strikes! Usually early evening, though!

𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐒? : WELLL, it really depends! Am I out in the hills eating people, in a hospital healing people, defying death at every turn or ruling a hellish realm? Absolutely not! But each of the muses does contain a small piece of me beneath the surface!

It seems silly but I’ve always done this as a way to make it easier for me to relate and connect to them! It’s often microscopic, but shared traumas, fears, loves and minor personality traits (8713 is most like the mun ngl) does countless good to ensuring that not only can I keep playing them in the long term but ensuring that they are wholly mine!

To outline one of the similarities/shared threads of personality

Fíadh deals heavily with a fear of abandonment and loss of control over her body.

In her story, this is due to several factors from childhood neglect and abuse, a precarious sense of self-esteem, the curse that plagues her, her history of being moved around and used as a piece on a chess board, and the death/rejection from everyone she has held dear up to her current point (except for the Trapper/Trader and Leshy ofc) however the truth is, while narratively it does make sense, it was born from me and my experience as being neurodivergent and struggling with a sense of self and value due to the repeated rejection and experiences that came from it!

Hi :) what are your faves kdrama ?

Hi hi! :D Whenever I get ask about favorite dramas my perspective always seems to change as time goes by tbh! Here's an old ask from 2021 that included my favorite kdramas — but now I'm honestly really picky with what I call a "favorite" drama. Like yes, I still very much enjoyed past ones I called a favorite but if I had to put it in a category it'd be that I just enjoyed it a lot in the moment. If that makes any sort of sense 😭 For a drama to be a favorite I literally need to feel some sort of attachment to it. So if I would give a list of fave kdramas it would literally be like just one ngl 😅 But anyways I'll list kdramas that I enjoyed watching and would recommend giving a try! Favorite moment

It is hard to choose between ALL of his bits in Jugs and Rods or the Grog and Tary shopping adventure in Vasselheim. Critical Role has TONS of funny moments and there is stuff in every campaign that has really gotten to me--but nothing like this. My abs ached the next day, I was fully weeping real fucking tears over this. I am laughing just thinking about it as I am typing. Fucking iconic.

Idea for a story

I have never considered a story with Tary specifically, but you know I'd love a story that explored Tary getting back together with Lawrence and how that aspect of their love story played out! I feel like that could be a very fun romance piece.

Unpopular opinion

Genuinely an incredible character, not as a joke, not for the bit. I mean, Tary is hilarious, yes. But I don't think Sam gets enough credit for how GOOD Tary was beyond the bit. He's a top tier character and deserves more credit from the fandom for it.

Favorite relationship

I'll split this one with Percy and Vex. Tary ends up being such good friends with both of them and his friendship with Vex is something I find particularly endearing (another Sam + Laura dynamic coming through golden) and then you add the layer of Tary's close friendship and unrequited pining for Percy into the mix....that whole dynamic of the three of them is great.

Favorite headcanon

I should really just delete this question because I never have headcanons to add. Idk. I don't really do head canons.

Scanlan:

Thought he was kind of gross and too sexually forward, ngl

Probably my favorite of Vox Machina, not counting Tary. I don't know, he really grew on me. I think Scanlan circles around similar themes that all of Sam's PCs do, which is why I tend to gravitate toward them, you know? The eternal struggle of wanting to appear okay for your friends because you can't or won't invite the vulnerability of being honest about how you're struggling, only to hit a breaking point and lose it because no one has noticed your pain (because you have hidden it)? All the inherent complications and contradictions of that sort of thinking? Feels very realistic and relatable, for me, at least.

Favorite moment

It's so easy to choose The Bard's Lament for this. WHAT an incredible dramatic character move. Unparalleled, dramatic, complex, and it added so much to Scanlan's character and the dynamic with the group, forcing VM to sit with some things (and to get angry at him! Because he was unfair too!). I loved that shit, I ate it up.

But also, Scanlan's return to VM and trying to Modify Memory on Vex only to whiff it and her just hugging him. I fucking love that, too.

Idea for a story

You know, the thing is, this question is tickling some kind of memory of mine that I had actually planned to write something about Scanlan/Pikelan and I just cannot remember what on earth it was going to be. I can't even think of anything else, I'm just annoyed I can't remember what I was going to do, now

Unpopular opinion

I don't think Scanlan blowing up at VM and saying unfair things to them makes him a bad person or selfish or [insert whatever other thing here]. I think he was unwell, and had some valid reasons to be upset, and spoke in anger in a very human moment wherein neither party was entirely wrong or right. People apply judgement to that scene a lot, I think because it's very emotionally jarring, it's aggressive and unexpected and it prompts strong feeling because of that, but I don't think there's any judgment to be applied. VM was wrong about some things, Scanlan was wrong about some things. A big bundle of tragically human conflict, honestly, which is why it's fantastic.

Favorite relationship

Probably Grog. I love that whole corner of VM (Grog and his gnomes) and all their dynamics, but you can really feel such a camaraderie and care between these two that I love. Also Vex (that Sam + Laura dynamic always hits, I suppose)

Oh, my god, okay. Out of the top of my head, there's this one I think about every once in a while in So, what was your name again? of this person that said they were at work and went to the bathroom to read the final chapter and I guess it baffled me a little because I was already surprised that people liked that one so much, but then it was a little bit of the... a real person, who was at work, decided to not wait to read this thing I wrote and even went somewhere to have privacy to read it??? Unreal.

Tinglecannon’s comments are always such a delight to read! Those are the kind of comments that make me able to look back at what I wrote when I’m feeling embarrassed or self-conscious.

In general, I love when people start rambling in the comments, haha, like either pointing out parts they liked or theorizing when it comes to multichapters or just generally talking their heart out, I think it’s very fun! I do treasure all comments tho, I try to answer everything I get because it just makes me so happy to know someone took the time to even just type “<3″. It might take a few seconds, but those are a few seconds they actively chose to dedicate to leaving something and it’s such a nice thing.

✍️ What’s your ideal writing setup?

Ngl, I had to google this to make sure I got the meaning right.

Okay, I had typed a response but now I see it says "ideal", so that's different. I don't know, as long as somewhere is comfortable and quiet, I think I would be fine? Having a computer that doesn't freeze every once in a while would probably help too.

👓 What helps you focus when you write?

Silence! I do use music as inspiration, but not when I'm actually writing, just during brainstorming and all of that. Knowing I'm not going to get interrupted also helps, so I mostly write at night or early in the morning when everyone else is sleeping.

... If I've been stalling for too long despite having the wish to write, I usually use that one Discord bot that's like "you have 15 minutes to write and then you have to tell me your word count to know how much you wrote". It's in theory to write with other people, but it helps because I just can't disappoint this little bot that has no self awareness to be disappointed in me, can I?

🥳 Why did you start writing fanfic?

For fun! There isn't much more to it, I used to write fanfic and draw little fan comics of the Lord of the Rings for fun with my siblings when I was small. We didn't know fanworks were a thing, but even when I started finally "officially" writing fanfics, it was a lot of "hey, I just want to have some fun here".

🌻 How often do you read your own fics?

Not often at all! Once I've finished and posted something, I do tend to reread it once or twice, but outside of that, I mostly reread what I wrote if someone leaves a comment about this or that part. It's a bit like "really? was it truly good? 😊". It's the validation that breaks the embarrassment askjfhkjsdg

📗 Do you want to write something outside of fanfiction? If so, what about?

Not really. I used to when I was a kid, but honestly, I don't think I have the kind of disposition required, haha. I'm happy writing fanfics, so it's not like something I regret, I would be quite content if I only ever write fics.

I think I wrote a fairy tale once tho? As a gift for a friend, but I didn't keep any copy, so I don't even remember what it was about, it was a LONG time ago.

The boy quiets down a little and his head turns in his direction, eyes still tightly closed, but his hearing already perfectly accustomed to register sound. His ears don’t twitch like he’s observed in some witches, perhaps because they’re not at all like witches’ ears. No, his ears are round. Human.

It seems like God has finally decided to reward his efforts. Maybe he won’t have to get rid of this one, after all.

I’m dying a little bit because I like this one a lot, but I’m prioritizing other wips for a variety of reasons.

So after just listening to Sacrifice…. I have no idea. I can only think retrospectively, bc it’s been so long and maybe this wasn’t their international at the time, but Right Now I can kinda see the song hinting to V3 things? I do agree it feels like Salem talking to Oz, but the fall from grace and “did the things you thought you should, all the things they said were good” makes me think of Pyrrha accepting the Maiden transfer even though she clearly didn’t want to. She was told by the trusted adults around her that it was the best option if she had the powers bc of her skills so she agreed. “Truth will rise revealed by mirrored eyes” is Ruby at the end of V3, her powers activating turned everything white and I think burned Cinder’s Grimm arm. And then the verse directly after that is Salem to Oz again.

In conclusion I have no idea what it meant at the time, but now 8 volumes in I can see the song, accidentally or on purpose, foreshadowing the fallouts to come. Bc Divide, the V3 song, has similar Salem Is Speaking vibes? But that’s all I got in my very quick lyric analysis haha

Also I’ll just say I love your posts bc despite loving the music so much you talk about little details that I registered but never really too in fully? So it’s really cool getting to trace back where we came from and to wonder about those little crumbs

in general i do think most of the songs—if not all of them—can be interpreted in several ways, even if it goes against the intended meaning behind them. maybe not the entirety of a song, but bits and pieces of lyrics here and there, because let's be real: there are so many similarities / parallels / symbolism surrounding these characters that it'd be impossible to avoid that.

so like. i don't think there is a wrong way to interpret sacrifice, especially since there's no official confirmation on what or who it is about. which makes it all the more fun for us, so win-win!

divide also has that... almost lullaby-like part in it, which is a vibe sacrifice also gives me. all things must die also has it in the beginning, so there seems to be a theme building up for villainous ladies' songs, which makes me think sacrifice is from that angle, too.

ngl going back in time to early days of rwby and seeing if there's anything there that i've missed or simply forgotten about with new perspective thanks to the later volumes is my favorite past-time. like sure, analyzing all the current stuff is fun and all, but what if there's something in the early volumes that is The Missing Piece that helps with the current stuff, and making more sense of it?

so maybe sacrifice was hinting about what was to come in v3. maybe we're missing some important story piece that will become a light bulb moment, and it all makes sense now. maybe it's a little bit of both. who knows?

what i do know, though, is that sacrifice is a banger and gods did i listen to it a lot at the time of release.

55.) do you have any abandoned WIP’s? What made you abandon them?

I sat here way too long looking at my Scrivener files, wondering if I considered anything truly abandoned.

Without taking into consideration the slaughterhouse of WIPs that is my ffnet account 🤣

In ye olden days, I posted first to AFF, then to ffnet, then to various HP specific sites such as HPFandom. My very first fic was abandoned because I was 13 at the time and undiagnosed ADHD 😂 Then I moved onto my "danniperson" username and wrote two massive projects that are, yes, now abandoned. There are many projects there I started and stopped, but the biggest ones were Lost and Damned and Resistance.

I linked them even though I really don't recommend anyone read them. 😂 For one, they're both huge. 368k and 256k respectively. Secondly, they're both abandoned. So...big and abandoned, yep. Third, and most importantly, this was like a decade ago. My writing has improved tremendously since then.

I was also writing the first version of The Best Kept Secrets back then. (Original version vs rewrite/completed version.) A few issues came into play around that time that basically sent my writing drive to a screeching halt.

I was 20 in 2012. I'd just survived a friendship breakup with a longtime friend and the end of an engagement. I'd quit college after three semesters to work full time. I'd moved away from home, then suddenly back home. I didn't know what I was doing with my life. I felt like a failure. My mental health was trash. And, as ever, I was over-critical and over-achieving.

Lost and Damned Chapter 1 was posted August 20, 2011. Chapter 80 was posted March 1, 2012. 80 chapters; 368,418 words; all in 196 days.

Resistance Chapter 1 was posted November 23, 2011. Chapter 36 was posted October 17, 2012. 36 chapters; 256,318 words; all in 329 days.

Between those two projects alone: 624,736 words in 424 days. And I was trying other projects in that time period, too!

In fact, let me tally up my total word count for the years of 2011 and 2012.

Earliest start date: August 20, 2011

Latest end date: October 17, 2012

Total days: 424

Total words: 748,812

That's...a lot.

So TL;DR: I was burned out. (Also a beta reader had me feeling like garbage, but that's a whole other story.)

I was burned out, insecure, and depressed and eventually couldn't keep going on. I took a break.

Funnily enough, I came back to writing in 2015 which was...right around the time my life was getting better! I was committed to my mental health. I got a new, good job. I moved out of my dad's house and on my own. And the groove came back, baby!

But by then, too much time had passed. I was older, distanced from those works, and just plain better with writing. There is no going back, really. (Which is a shame for Lost and Damned because I was so dang close to the finish line.) (Depressingly close, ngl.)

And of the two, I've had thoughts of maybe rewriting/continuing Resistance, though it would be in a very different form. The Snarry plotline might be close-ish to the original, but it would undergo a full makeover. Only the original concept would more or less be untouched. Even then, who knows if it will happen; I'd like to! I felt like I had a solid grasp on soulmates and the Soul Bond in that one that I think I could explore better nowadays, as well as expanding on the magical theory in other areas as well.

Anyway that's enough babbling about that question, NEXT.

Chill out. Seriously, chill out. Those expectations about writing you have? Toss 'em out the door. There are no rules. You are the goddess, you make the dang rules. Have fun!

Also: don't let other people's opinions get to you. Other people's opinions are trash anyhow. I mean, idk, what's a politer way of saying that? Basically: everyone has preferences and that's fine, but no one is the master or the rulemaker. There are people out there who do like what you do because they have excellent taste. Your writing is going to impact someone besides just you. And if honoring yourself, honoring your creativity and your whims and your passions is going to reach someone, anyone, that's worth more than bowing beneath other people's expectations and preferences anyway. Can't please everyone, so you might as well please yourself! And your like two fans who also have very specific niche preferences. 😂

hi, i just read all of ur posts tagged as misqnon's one piece liveblogging and it was so much fun T-T. im here to rant about one piece and im sorry.

i really love seeing people react to content i am caught up with and hold close to my heart.

i got into the 800s in the anime and stopped watching, took a break and then read the manga up to around 1060. but last month i decided to read the whole thing from the beginning and it is genuinely SO WORTH IT.

after u have caught up completely its super rewarding to go back and look at previous chapters bc its constant "oh my god look what was foreshadowed here??" and "now i understand the context behind this!!!" and "this interaction is so much more meaningful now that i know their relationship!!". yes it did take me a whole month of nearly nonstop reading to catch back up but i have 0 regrets.

wano and the arc after it are both super fun and interesting and i think ur gonna love it. the lore is crazy. i hope u dont see any spoilers bc going into it completely blind will probably be way more exciting, especially with the most recent arc since its kinda suspenseful and mysterious,,.

Well I'm still friends with them (shoutout to sam and seb) and they convinced me to watch one piece film red with them in like July or August of last year bc they were showing me the songs and I, ado fan bc I'm a retired weaboo and a vocaloid Stan, was like "haha that sounds like ado" and they went "IT IS!!!!??" so I had to watch it for her.

again, I was like oh this is fun I like this :^) but no IMMEDIATE interest, more of a passive thing... until the live action came out a month or so later and I watched it just because and DAMN I FELL IN LOVE FAST

So he sleeps on the couch a lot

I’m so so SO glad you’re liking it!!!!!! It can get kinda heavy but it’s such a great story.... honestly I’d been wanting to start it since I saw the first pv for the anime all the way back last year but I was like, you know it’s a mappa anime! so I wanted to watch the anime as a new thing, cause I love mappa, but three episodes in I couldn’t hold back and just binged it. It’s kind of story that just makes you wanna drink it all in one go, isn’t it? so good so good

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm can’t say I see either of them much into fashion tbh, but if I had to pick probably model Kiri and artist Baku? That’s been my headcanon for a while now, actually!! I think for me it came from two characters in a manga I like that are a lot like a dog and a cat but have inverted fav animals and when I read about that I was like “oh, right, makes sense since they like each other” and then my brain turned it krbk because when does it not lmao

Ah man, I’m sorry but I’m not the best person to ask this to! I started this sideblog cause I had too many followers on my main and I didn’t want my stuff to be seen by that many people at first, so whatever I did probably isn’t what you’re looking for :( but really there isn’t much to it, just post whatever you like to draw, tag it as best as you can (but remember that only the first five tags appear in the search page) and be patient, since whatever you do at first you won’t get much attention anyway - the only real advice I can give is to draw something that makes you happy and that you’d draw anyway even if no one were to see it, it’ll make keep posting despite a possible lack of activity a lot easier!

THANK YOU FOR LIKING HIM HE’S CALLED DAVIDE Dav for short, he’s a cat of a man and a music instrument enthusiast (mostly string ones, but he’s very good with the piano as well) - he works in a music instruments store, and he’s a uni student majoring in philosphy! He doesn’t like bothersome things, he isn’t very good at taking anything seriously or putting effort in stuff, but he’s very chill to spend time with and generally a nice chat both if you want mindless thoughts or deep conversations (he’s a philosophy major after all). He can’t sing for shit, he’s got two cats (tago and schelly!), and he just wants a quiet life to laze around but all his friends are hurricanes in human bodies, but then again, he picked them himself so he can’t complain. What’s a story I’d love to see you write? I don’t want to say this… because it hurts me… but I just KNOW you’d write brilliant angst. Some of my fav pieces of yours are pained beginnings with happy endings. That fight with Tsukki after a bad day at work. The pieces I mentioned above (nightmare pieces and fighting pieces and angsty home life ha.. ha.ha.ha.). That Oikawa one where the reader wakes up in bed without him and thinks he left. You write these gorgeous atmospheres and descriptive, visceral feelings, and if you chose to use it for evil…. You could get evil shit done. You’re SO powerful. So I want to read it… but also…. I don’t. I’d love to see you write ABO like you mentioned a while back or just see you explore a cutesy soulmate AU or something. I think you’d be really good at writing an AU where you hear what the other person’s listening too. I feel like you’d be so good at making me feel something for someone who was in another city. (think this would be cute with Tsukki cos he’s headphones boy, OR terushima because I like the dynamic of someone flirty, who clearly cares about looks, falling for someone he can’t see) ANYWAY….

Favorite pairing you write for?/fav reader insert? Tsukishima x reader. It’s my fav self-ship. (but also Mattsun, Bokuto, Oikawa, Tanaka, and Akaashi because you write them SO WELL!!!!)

Have any of your stories helped me through a hard time? Of course. Your self-harm piece came at a time I needed it. Iwaizumi’s in particular saved my life. But also your Tendou dealing with S/O parents who fight… came right when I needed it. Also starting college… was hard.. And reading and rereading your fluff really pulled me through it.

Have any of your stories hit closer to home? YES (see above).

Do I genuinely like your blog, it’s aesthetic or posts? It’s overall feel? It’s content? Yes. The aesthetic is, ngl, a wee bit basic. But I kinda love that. And the feel? It feels like home. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Your blog is my safe space. So, yes, I love. It’s content? YES. OF COURSE. Your personality probably could have kept me here even if your content was kinda shit, but I follow you RELIGIOUSLY because of your content. So yes. I adore.

Is English my first language? Kinda??? I grew up in a trilingual household so I kinda learned three languages at the same time while growing up. But no, I don’t need to translate it in my head. Because English was one of the three.

Anything I want to share? Yes. Please keep being kind to yourself, caring for your mental health, enforcing your boundaries, loving Akaashi, and just generally being you. You’re so lovely as you are, and I hope you continue grow, but never change. Also I’m sorry about all your work stuff…. It literally makes me feel sick. 5 - favorite little detail in a drawing you did

this one !! i literally just. cant decide because i tend to put a lot of like. small and usually not that easy to notice details in my art pieces or even sketches lol but i think that. my most favorite detail to add are facial markings like the three streaks across one cheek or the other, three dots under the eyes, following a decreasing pattern and a sort of string/line that follows across the cheek bone area !

6 - longest a drawing has taken to finish

hhhghgh so yeah, this is tricky because i would definitely say like. two to three weeks- but we both know that half of this time is just procrastination lmao so to be honest, the longer i take to finish something in one sitting is probably like. five to eight hours maybe ?? im really not sure though lol sorry :")

10 - favorite art medium

had to search about this real quick ngl sjnxsjhxs

but i think that, as i dont really use much of traditional tools to draw, what i usually stick to when i do draw traditionally is my graffiti pencils and watercolor pencils ! im not that into any other tools like markers or actual watercolors, so i just stick to the basics haha

24- what do you like most about your art style

i think the detailing i put into my lineart and expressiveness regarding body and general anatomical depictions is very nice ngl :-) like. im pretty terrible at coloring and shading so i can at least rely on my knowledge over how to make some actually good lines snxjshxs

25 - best advice youve received this year or something new you learned about art

im. not really sure about either of these, as my memory is literally the worst when trying to record things such as this, but something i recently developed and therefore learned about this year was definitely some cool methods regarding on how to draw bodies !!

usually, when drawing the torso we tend to fall flat on the triangle aspect, but adding a bunch of additional layers to the process of detailing each individual parts of it (not considering them to be one thing alone) and paying more attention to how they fit in with the body's bone structure has really helped me figure out my way through drawing accurate body types ! (and thats also why i always recommend for ppl to pratice on drawing parts of a body's bones to understand better its anatomy haha)
