You’re working alone in the basement when Nick finds you. It’s gone past eight pm and you’re standing in front of the large glass workspace you sometimes use as a conference table, sorting through decades old, blurry crime scene photographs. You’re trying to match them against the half assed A1 crime scene sketch that you’ve blown up for the occasion.
The case you’re working is from 92 and requires a lot more time and attention than you originally thought because of the shoddy work undertaken by the previous agents.
You’ve stayed late tonight because it’s quieter in the evenings, less interruptions. Being the Senior Field Agent means you’re a conduit of information for the younger agents trying to make their bones down here. It can be both time consuming and frustrating.
“I thought you were out on an op tonight?” You murmur, tilting the picture in your hands 45 degrees to the right in the hope that it will make more sense.
“About to head out.” He says, his palms coming to rest upon the surface of the table as he studies your process. There’s an art to what you do, how you put the pieces of a puzzle together after so long. You have an affinity for it.
“You slept with Sawyer.” He states quietly.
It takes a second for the words to filter through to your brain, your eyebrows furrow into a frown before you set the glossy image down upon the table.
“I did.” You tell him tipping your head up to meet his gaze.
“Is that all you’re going to say?” He asks you, shrugging his shoulders.
“I’m not sure what you want me to say.” You return, your hands coming to rest upon your hips. “It was over a year ago, we bumped into each other at a bar, had a few drinks…”
You don’t need to say anything else because he knows how it goes. He’s done it before, many times. His brain just can’t comprehend the fact you did it with Sawyer, that he’s only hearing about it now.
“I’m not going to apologise for a one night stand I had, before you and I were even a thing.” You inform him, your attention straying back to your work.
“I don’t expect an apology. I just…” He says tilting his head away as he struggles to find the words. “We were close back then I don’t understand …”
“Do you remember what was going on around then?” You ask him, your knuckles rapping lightly on the glass. He takes a beat, his mind scrolling back eighteen months.
“Katy.” He says softly.
“Yea.” You murmur. “It was a couple of nights after you closed her case.”
Your sister Katy had disappeared off base when you’d recieved your first posting with NCIS. She had taken after your father, heading into the service, raising through the ranks. You’d worked that case unofficially day and night and when you came up dry just like everybody else, you’d become the girl whose sister vanished into thin air. You couldn’t take the pitying looks, the sympathetic words so you’d taken the first undercover assignment that was offered to you, and then the next one, and then the next because becoming someone else was a lot easier than dealing with your reality.
That’s how the two of you met, working UC operations together. When he’d come out of deep cover, you’d been the first one he contacted. You’d gotten out a year earlier, been assigned to Violent Crimes before you made the move to Cold Cases.
Katy’s body had been found early last year along with those of three other sailors. Nick had worked the case, along with the rest of his team. He had been the one to break the news. Until then you had held out this hope, this stupid fragile hope that she’d had enough of the navy life, that she’d spirited herself away to Nashville the way she’d talked about when she was a teenager.
“She had this amazing voice,” You had told him that night, your fingertips tracing over a polaroid you kept on the fridge. “She used to sing Alison Krauss all the time.”
The news had decimated you, it felt like someone had plunged their hands into your chest and torn your heart right out. They’d caught the guy, a serial who’d been operating in the area at the time, but your sister was gone, and you had to come to terms with that.
“I needed to blow off some steam.” You tell him honestly. “With someone who wasn’t complicated.”
“We were complicated.” He says knowingly, coming to lean on the work surface beside of you.
Eighteen months ago he’d been trying to get sober, starting therapy. Gibbs had just left for Alaska, Bishop not long before. He’d experienced too much loss in such a short space of time, it had knocked him off balance.
“We were.” You agree. “I was a mess, I couldn’t…”
You trail off before finding the words, your arm brushing against his.
“I didn’t have anything left to give,” You explain before gesturing between the two of you. “And we deserved a proper shot.”
“Wrong place, wrong time.” He says, capturing your hand, his fingers entwining with yours. “I’d like to think we’re in the right one now.”
“Yea.” You say, your cheek coming to rest on his bicep. “I think so too.”

Nick Torres: I Told You Not To
My first NCIS attempt. I just started watching season 14 and I LOVE Nick Torres. This is set before he joins the team. Let me know how I did in catching Nick’s character. I’m still learning his personality.
You didn’t know it was possible to be this on edge while simultaneously feeling so fatigued. The fatigue was soul-deep and not something that would be fixed with even the best night's sleep. You felt completely wrung out. It made the hypervigilance that you couldn’t turn off much more unsettling. You have been running for almost two months now. There was the constant fear of being found and killed, or worse. You didn’t have the skill set to be on the run. You didn’t know how to dodge and redirect the dangerous people trying to find you. You didn’t know how to shoot a gun or protect yourself. You were a humanitarian. You came to Argentina to volunteer at an orphanage that doubled as a battered women's shelter.
You were well aware that you did not have the skill set necessary to protect yourself in the situation and it had never occurred to you that you might need to. Helping people without using the correct channels had never come back to bite you in the ass this hard though. Granted it had always been in America where you had the home advantage. When the woman had come and asked you for help escaping her abusive husband with her young son in tow, how were you supposed to know that everyone else had turned her away in fear of the repercussions of a powerful man. A man who ran an underground child sex trafficking ring.
The only thing that stood between you and him was an undercover NCIS agent, Nick Torres. He had saved you after his cover had been blown and had been dragging you around since. The man was paranoid, or so you had thought in the beginning, and on constant vigilance. He was sure of a mole in NCIS and didn’t trust anyone. It left the two of you in this constant state of motion. At first, the ordeal had been frightening, a constant rush of adrenaline. It had now turned into a constant uncomfortable prickle of anxiety and suspicion of everyone and everything. It was chronic mental exhaustion. If it made you feel as bad as you did, you could only wonder how bad it was for Nick.
He was the one who could keep you both alive. You had watched his strange humor which had the desired effect of lightening the mood in difficult and often uncomfortable situations turn into a stoic silence for the last week, maybe two. You weren’t sleeping much but it was nothing compared to him.
You had scoffed when he told you “I don’t sleep” but had soon found it near close to the truth. He barely slept over the last two months, the last few weeks being the worst. When he did drift off it was light and fitful. Every noise or movement woke him, and it would only be after a complete recheck of the area that he would try to sleep again if he chose to even try. Most of the time he would shake himself more awake and persist wherever he was leading you to next.
Nick was a handsome man, but he looked rough, sitting next to you on the commercial bus. His body language read exhaustion as did the dark circles underneath his eyes. They showed prominent even over his dark skin which was starting to take a more yellow jaundice undertone. Not that you were judging. You were sure that you looked like a hot mess express. You had been living in Nick’s oversized clothes and showers weren’t a frequent thing. Your hair had been in a braid for almost a week because you couldn’t stand how greasy it had gotten. Most of it was covered by Nick’s plain black baseball hat that he had forced on your head, bill pulled down low to cover most of your face. He liked you as hidden as possible saying you looked out a ghost in the land of the living. A pale white girl who couldn’t hold a conversation in Spanish in a sea of fast-speaking Latinos. It was rude but you couldn’t disagree.
The bus had just taken off, and Nick was slumped in his seat when a chill went up your spine. You had the eerie feeling of being watched. You knew the drill, no quick movements, you had to make checking your surroundings look natural, causal.
It was easy to spot him the man. He was a few seats behind you and openly staring. It seems too blatant to be one of the men that you have been running from, but your body tenses and you feel the blood start to pump faster through your veins. “Nick,” Your voice is low and tense. It catches his attention, and you can feel him become more alert and sit up straighter next to you. “Do you see that guy a few seats behind us? He is watching us.” Nick did a much more casual job of surveying the surroundings and when he was done, he chuckled before relaxing back into his seat. You furrowed your eyebrows at him in confusion.
“He isn’t watching us,” Nick stated flatly. You give a scoff of disbelief and go to object. You may be getting paranoid, but you can still tell when someone is staring. Nick cuts you off before you can get a handful of words out. “He isn’t watching us. He is watching you.” It takes a moment for the words to process. A soft oh falls from your lips when it finally clicks.
Nick leans into your space, his hand coming up to cup the side of your neck. You exhale in surprise, but the touch is light and not unwelcome. It floods your body with a tingling warmth. “Is he still looking?” You search Nick’s face before looking back at the man. His attention had broken off you and he was now slumped against the wall staring out the window.
“No,” His fingers brushed your cheek lightly catching a strand of hair that had come loose and securing it behind your ear.
“Yeah, most people get uncomfortable with public displays of affection. Just like most men will respect another man when they realize that the girl they are trying to flirt with is taken.” He gives you a long look before glancing down at your chest and whispering, “I told you not to wear that.” He dropped back into his seat.
You made a face at him, you two had gotten into a small argument at the station where you had refused to wear one of his long-sleeved shirts. It was hot and the bus was a hotbox. You had been sweating for days and washing up in the skin hadn’t tackled the problem. You just wanted to be comfortable for your trip. You had snagged a white wife beater out of his bag to put on instead. It was tight in the chest, but it felt much lighter and cooler. Nick had wisely said nothing when you came out in it.
His comment made you look down at the shirt. I was tight and clinging to you like a second skin but the top where it was pulled tightly across your breast you saw the problem. You had been sporting a bright red bra when you left, and it was the only one you had. Because your boobs were so large there was no way of forgoing it. The flimsy white shirt that had been great for the purpose of keeping you cool did nothing to hide your bra’s florescent color nor the outline of its lace. Your cheeks flushed bright in embarrassment. You were a hot mess and gave quite the show.
The two of you rode in silence for a while. Nick's eyes were open just a sliver as he tried to keep himself awake. It was a losing battle. He would start to doze, and his head would slide to the side waking him back up. “We have three hours until the next stop, right?”
“You have to go to the bathroom already?” You glare at him. He had made a point to complain about your need to use the bathroom more frequently than him. “Yeah, about that.” He agreed. You nod in decision and turn to put your back against the corner where your seat meets the wall, your knees turned more toward the center aisle.
“You should get some sleep,” He looks ready to object, “You’ve already checked everyone out on the bus, and I’ll wake you up before we hit our next stop or if anything weird happens.” He still looks hesitant, but his brown eyes have a heavy exhaustion cut deep into their depths. You pat your lap urging him to rest his head. “You’ll sleep better if you lay down.”
“I’ll be okay,” He shimmies against his seat trying to get comfortable. The seats are hard and sleeping upright is uncomfortable in the best of circumstances. Nick is stubborn and even with everything he has done for you doesn’t want to ask for any small favors or comforts you can give him. You grab his shoulder and pull him forward to lay down, even with objections on his lips he allows you to maneuver him to lay with his shoulders and head in your lap. Nick, who had complained one too many times about you getting yourself in trouble by being too selfless chuckled lightly into your thighs as you assured him.
“Don’t worry I’m doing it for purely selfish reasons. If you are sleep-deprived and miss something or get hurt, it will be all over for me.” You tease him, even with the truth of your words ringing in your ears.
Nick is stiff laying in your lap for a few minutes, but it doesn’t take long for him to readjust and get comfortable enough to fall asleep. When he does, he is out cold. His body is a heavyweight against you, and he starts snoring. The physical contact felt nice. You were no stranger to his touch. Nick had been pulling, pushing, leading, and on occasion dragging you around. All of it had a purpose and none felt like real physical contact. The warmth of his body that lay on yours was soothing. You tried not to examine that feeling too thoroughly.
Nick being relaxed enough to sleep made your own anxiety settle slightly. You still made sure to look out the window and be aware of what was going on around you, but it wasn’t as needling. You silently wondered if you two had been feeding off each other's nervous energy for too long. That paired with a lack of sleep made for a volatile combination.
The first hour went by in a blur of Nick’s snores and passing scenery out the window. By the middle of the second hour, your ass and legs were getting numb from sitting in the same position for so long. You were trying not to fidget or shift because Nick was getting some real sleep, and you didn’t want to risk waking him. Another fifteen minutes in you couldn’t take it anymore. You set a hand on the middle of his back and started slowly shifting trying to move your leg. You had moved maybe an inch when you felt the slight jolt of movement from Nick. This body was tensed, you could feel the strong muscles in his back flex under your palm.
“It’s okay, we’re still over an hour out.” You whisper to him running your hand down his spine. “I just need to sit a little different.” His half-lidded eyes meet yours as he lifts his body a few inches allowing you to pull your leg up onto the seat. You press your back more directly into the wall rotating the way you were sitting on your butt. He half moves half slides up your stomach as you slide down the wall. He ends up draped across you, his head on your stomach his torso resting in between your thighs. One of his hands smooths up your thigh and stops to rest there as he passes back out.
Your hand still rests on his back. He has a hole in his dark shirt that you fiddle with for something to do. You notice his shirt has ridden up leaving a few inches of tan olive skin showing between it and his pants. The man’s body is all firm muscle. You would have to be blind not to notice how attractive he is, only exacerbated by his cocky attitude and smartass remarks. You try your best to stamp down that thought-examining the way he makes you feel would be a disaster. The only way you want to see him is as a protector. A man who is standing between you and those who want to hurt you. That's all it can be. The rest you know to ignore. You smooth down his shirt where it has bunched around his broad shoulders. You absently continue the motion rubbing his back. His back is a mess of tight knots and muscles.
You spend the rest of the bus ride alternating between loosening the knots and resting your hand on his back and feeling it rise and fall as he breathes. You noticed the man who had been staring at you earlier kept taking quick glances at you. He quickly would avert his gaze if you happened to look his way at the same time.
You see the sign for the first stop five miles out. You rub up Nick’s back, he hasn’t moved at all since he fell back asleep. You don’t want to jerk him out of his sleep like last time, so you set your hand over his on your thigh and squeeze it a few times. You whisper his name and see the flutter of his long dark eyelashes. “We are about five minutes out.” You expect him to immediately sit up and start his causal special agent surveillance mode. What you didn’t expect was him to lay there languidly.
He rolls his neck, and shoulders, and then stretches. You heard a few loud pops, and he groaned in satisfaction. He then rolls onto his back and makes eye contact with you from where he is lying. He has his normal cocky smile back on his lips. The few hours of uninterrupted sleep had done him a lot of good. He seemed to be in much better spirits. You quirked an eyebrow at him in question. “Finalmente encontré tu fuerte (I finally found your forte). You make a fantástica pillow.”
“I’m glad you approve.” You tease sarcastically. He doesn’t move to get up, so you rest your hand on his stomach, the other on the back of the seat. When the bus stops people make their way off. The man from earlier who had been watching you stops by your seat before he exits. He says something in Spanish. You catch none of it, but Nick does and clearly didn’t like it. His body is still relaxed against yours and his tone is teasing with an undercurrent of hard warning as he answers. The only thing you catch is- Entender amigo. Understand friend. The man glares at Nick before storming off the bus. “Do I even want to know?”
“Sólo sabes cómo causar problemas (You just know how to cause trouble).” Nick watched as people started to file onto the bus. You sigh and are about to ask him to translate, silently cursing yourself for opting for ASL in school instead of Spanish. Nick’s gaze turns back to you and looks down at your chest which is now basically at eye level before redirecting up to your eyes. “I told you not to wear that shirt.” He repeats. “The next stop is ours. I squirreled away some of my own money there before I went under. Just in case. You can never be too careful, ya know? How does a hotel room sound for the night?”
You moan in delight at the thought, “Sounds like a hot shower and a real bed. Heaven.” Nick chuckled before readjusting on your lap.
“We have two more hours before our stop. You mind if I catch a little more sleep?”
“Knock yourself out. Apparently, I’m a certified pillow.” You smooth his hair out of his face. It’s supposed to be a teasing gesture, but it ends up being a lingering touch. Soft. Comforting. Affectionate in a way that wasn’t intended. If Nick closes his eyes again and leans into the touch you ignore it. Just like the butterflies that are trying to awaken in your cold traumatized stomach.
I hope you guys enjoyed it! Let me know what you think xoxo

Hiiiii my fav Alden Parker writer!!!!!!
😊🌸😊🌸😊🌸😊🌸😊
I have a request, I’d love to read one of Alden having a sweet young pregnant girlfriend but the team doesn’t know cuz it just never comes up at work till she’s a witness to a crime. He becomes very protective of her and he doesn’t want her out of his sight till the case is over & the team gets protective of her too. I feel like he would cheer her up by getting her favorite pastries & she’d love to playfully call him daddy which would get him excited 😏
this is pure fluff! <3 enjoy my love, i had much fun writing it! <3
words count: 4,1k
Baby Parker
Ever since you found out about your pregnancy, you have become a compulsive buyer of baby stuff; furniture for the nursery, toys and most importantly, baby clothes. You had a full wardrobe ready for the baby before you even knew the sex of your little one. Your partner, Alden Parker, was amazed every time he came home and saw what new things you bought. Most evenings, he sat there while you showed him everything.
It got worse when the OBGYN told you you were having a baby boy. The first thing you bought was a tiny gray suit; similar to your baby daddy’s. Your favorite of his. Alden almost cried from happiness, just like every time he noticed your baby bump growing. Or like that night when the baby kicked for the first time.
You were cuddling on the couch, watching the show you and Alden had been binging. He had an arm wrapped around your shoulders and his other hand resting on your belly when it happened.
Your body jerked lightly from the surprise and you let out a small ‘Ow!’. Alden sat straight up, pure wonder on his face. “Was it?” he asked.
“His first kick!” You laughed and cried at the same time.
“My god!” Alden had tears in his eyes too, and he put both hands on your belly, waiting for another kick. “Hey baby boy, – how does it feel?” he looked at you.
“Wonderfully weird.”
A new kick.
You and Alden looked at each other, completely amazed. It was perfect. “I can’t wait to meet him.” Your boyfriend said, a tear falling down his cheek.
The baby kicked again, like he was responding to his father’s voice. You ran your hand into his hair, “Talk again, daddy.” you invited him.
Alden settled down, his face close to your baby bump. “Baby boy, it’s daddy. Four months til we get to meet you!” Another little kick, Alden grinned at you and you returned it, still crying from happiness.
“Mama is crying from happiness and so am I,” It was exactly a kick this time, but the baby still moved. “You’re real, our tiny human.”
You spent the rest of the evening watching the man you love talking to your unborn son, and feeling him moving and kicking inside you. This was one of the happiest moments in your life and you knew there was more to come.
When you tried to sleep, your boy wasn’t calming down. “Hyperactive already?” Alden joked, “He really is half you.” he kissed you before settling between you under the sheets. His hand rested on your belly, stroking small circles with his fingers. Slowly, the baby stopped moving around, allowing you to fall asleep.
A few weeks later, you enjoyed your lunchtime to go out and shop. You went to your favorite baby store. You tried to control yourself and not buy too many clothes for your little guy - only because Alden told you the baby probably wouldn’t wear half of the things you were buying. You were proud of yourself because you only bought a couple of things. You texted your boyfriend on your way back to the office but stopped when you were two people fighting a few feet away from you.
You looked up from your phone, just in time to see one of the men pulling out a gun and shooting the other. Before you could react, the shooter was running away and got inside a car. It was probably all the stories that Alden told you that made you take a picture of the car before it was gone. It was blurry as you were shaking, but they probably would be able to get something out of it, right?
Everything happened so fast. Some people were checking on the man that had been shot, and 911 had been called. You stayed there but didn’t approach, as you felt your baby moving a lot around. You should probably sit… but you knew you had to wait for the police to get there.
You told what you saw a few times, showed them the picture you took and one of the cops had the guts to insinuate that you took the picture because you were in on it. Luckily, his partner knew it was nonsense. You were getting tired, thirsty and hungry. Your little boy kept moving and kicking, like he was reacting to the horrible thing you just witnessed. You asked a few times if you were free to go but the cops asked you to stay more.
“There are a few witnesses, bright day light murder, that was risky.” McGee said to the team.
“Have you talked to any of them yet?” Parker asked him.
“No, but I’m gonna start with the pregnant lady. She’s been here for over an hour, she must be exhausted.”
Alden followed to where McGee was looking and his jaw dropped. The pregnant lady wasn’t just any lady. It was his lady. His woman carrying his child. Concern and worry appeared on his face and he immediately started running towards you. The team watched their boss running almost like a man to one of the witnesses and then they looked at each other. “Who is that?” Jessica asked as they saw Alden hugging you.
“A witness, her name is Y/N Y/L/N.”
“Family member? A niece maybe?”
On the other side, all your discomfort disappeared when you saw the man you love running to you. You stood up from the bench you had been sitting on for over an hour, and welcomed him into your arms. Alden hugged you tight and put his hands on your belly, “Are you two okay?” He asked, clearly worried. “How are you feeling, sweetheart? How long have you been on that bench?”
“An hour, maybe more. We’re fine,” you stroked his cheek, “Your little guy keeps moving though,”
His hands didn’t leave you or your belly. “I’m sorry you witnessed that–” he kissed your forehead.
“Wrong place, wrong time,”
“Do you have some water in your bag? Something to eat? I’m gonna get you back to the headquarters so you can rest and tell me everything, okay?”
You nodded to what he said last, and followed him. He helped you walk, like you were sick or injured but you didn’t mind at all. You loved how attentive he was being, plus all you wanted at this moment was to lay down for a nap.
You and Alden approached his team who was still investigating the crime scene. “Is everything okay, Parker?” One man, who you assumed was Tim McGee, asked.
“Yes but no. I need to have a word with those assholes who can’t take care of a pregnant woman correctly!” His voice raised, surprising those who worked with him but not you. You knew how overprotective he could be, especially since you were pregnant.
“Den, it doesn’t matter.” you told him, “Let’s just go?”
“It matters to me. What kind of people let a six months pregnant woman wait on a fucking bench for an hour, without even checking on her?” He saw one of the cops who welcomed the team earlier and called him out. “Can you answer that, uh? Couldn’t you offer her some water? Food? Or offer her to wait in the car, which is more comfortable than a bench? I hope a pregnant woman would never have to count on you!”
“Alden, you’re overreacting.” you grabbed his face in your hands, forcing him to look in your eyes. “I’m fine, we are fine.” you pressed your lips against his, not caring that a few people were watching. Alden took a deep breath to regain control of himself. He pressed his hand on your baby bump, feeling his little boy kicking. “Even your son is telling you to calm down.” you smiled. “Take me to your office, daddy.” You grinned. You love calling him that since you found out about your pregnancy.
Alden told his team to finish here while he took you to his car. He grabbed a bottle of water and a protein bar in his bag and gave them to you. You gladly drank but you weren’t hungry. “Eat please,” he told you, driving towards the NCIS headquarters. “For him.” he placed his hand on your belly. How could you resist?
“The look on your team’s faces was amazing,” you giggled. “You’re gonna go through a real interrogation.”
“And I will tell them everything they want to know.”
At the crime scene, the team stared at the car going away. “Definitely not a niece,” Jimmy said.
“Did any of you know?” Jessica asked.
“That he had a pregnant girlfriend about half his age? Nope.” McGee smiled.
“She is pretty and glowing,” The female agent said.
“Pregnancy tends to do that,” Jimmy told her.
Even though you kept saying that you were fine, Alden practically carried you to his desk and settled you in his desk chair. He got you more water, and asked if you wanted something else to eat. “Alden Parker, stop it. I’m okay, and so is our boy.”
“Promise?”
“Yes!” you giggled. “Now, I need to show you something.”
You took your phone from your bag and showed him the blurry picture you took. “That’s the car the shooter left in. I know it’s blurry but–”
“I’m gonna get this to Kasie, she’ll get something out of it. It’s amazing, honey. Great thinking,”
“Luckily, I was texting you when it happened so I had my phone in my hands.”
“Do you wanna meet Kasie?”
“I’d love to!”
Alden extended his hand to you, but you stood up without taking it. He sighed and showed you the way to the elevator. Inside the little box, he grabbed your face in his hands and kissed you passionately. “I wish it was under different circumstances, but I’m glad the team finally knows.”
“Me too, baby.” you kissed him a little more until the lift was over.
Intertwining his fingers with yours, he took you to Kasie’s lab. “Already back–oh hi!”
“Hey Kas,” he greeted her, “This is Y/N, a witness who took a very useful picture, and also my girlfriend.” He put his hand on your belly once again, “and this is our baby boy.”
“That is–a lot of information,” she laughed, “I had no idea,” she extended her hand to you, “Very nice to meet you, Y/N. And when are we going to meet this little one?”
“Three months.” you shook her hand.
Alden gave your phone to Kasie so she could transfer the picture to her computer. Before giving it back to you, she saw your lock screen; you smiling at the camera while Alden kissed your cheek. “I have to ask, why the hell did you hide this from us?” she asked your man, gently slapping his arm.
“Force of habits.” he said. “Plus I’m glad you know now.” he wrapped his arm around your shoulder, holding you close to him.
“So much love in my lab, it’s very unusual,”
“Can I leave her with you for about ten minutes?” he asked Kasie but looked at you before she could even answered, “There are armchairs in the back where you can rest,”
“Where are you going?”
“You’ll see in ten minutes.”
Alden kissed you before leaving the lab. He didn’t feel comfortable leaving you after you witnessed a murder but he wanted to do something for you; getting some pastries and your favorite tea. After this, he wouldn’t let you out of his sight. He didn’t know much about the crime yet, but you were a witness and from what you told him, it was possible that the murderer saw you. Luckily, he knew you couldn’t be more safe than at the NCIS office.
“Are you okay?” Kasie asked you as you were settled in one of the chairs.
“Yes, and I don’t need to lay down but if I don’t, Den is going to freak out.”
“‘Den’?” she smiled.
“Yeah, sorry. His little name,” you giggled.
“That’s sweet. You have a great partner,”
“Wouldn’t be having a baby with him if he wasn’t,” you smiled, rubbing your baby bump.
“Is he moving?”
“Yes. Do you wanna touch it?”
“Can I?” she sat next to you. “I never knew anyone who was pregnant, so I never–”
You took her hand in yours and put it on your belly, exactly where your boy was moving. Kasie grinned with wonder, “It’s crazy. Must feel weird, right?”
“At first, yeah. But now, it’s just amazing. I love feeling him moving,”
“The team is gonna have a little mascot,”
You laughed and felt him give a frank kick, “Baby Parker will love that apparently.”
Exactly ten minutes later, Alden came back with a white box in one hand and drinks in the other. “Are you serious, Parker?”
“Very.” he smiled. “Got you a little something too, Kas.”
“On one hand, I’m trying to be careful about what I eat and on the other, this guy keeps feeding me with pastries.”
“Well, if I ever dated a man, I’d love for him to be like you, Alden.”
“Yes, like him. Because this one is taken.” you playfully winked at her, taking a bit in your pastry.
“Thank god, by you. For a moment, we thought he was dating the weirdo from the second floor.”
Alden shot a glare at Kasie, who understood she spoke too fast. “What weirdo?” you asked, looking between both of them. “Alden Richard Parker!”
“Sorry,” Kasie took her tea and pastry and went back to her computers.
“Thanks for throwing me under the bus!” he called out and looked back at you.
“I’m waiting.”
“It’s nothing. Just this woman that keeps hitting on me, but I made sure she knew I wasn’t interested.”
“Did you now?”
He sat next to you. “Yes and I haven’t seen her in weeks. You trust me, right?”
“I trust you, but I don’t trust women who hit on my man.”
Alden chuckled and kissed your forehead, “I do love when you’re jealous.”
“Is she pretty?”
“A bomb.” You punched him and he laughed more. “Maybe I’ll get her pregnant too.”
“Give me your gun. Now.”
Still laughing, he grabbed your face in his hands and kissed you. “I love you so much.” he moved down on his knees and kissed your belly, “And I love you too.” he said to his son, and of course, the baby kicked as a reaction.
“I’ll get my revenge, Parker.”
“Don’t care, not jealous.” He played with your son through your skin.
“Says the man who almost kicked my gay cousin’s ass because he was helping me choose clothes.”
“You were in your bra in front of a man I never saw before. Saw red,”
“That, you did.” you giggled, running your hands through his hair and then his beard.
“I hope I didn’t cause any trouble.” Kasie came back, “The team is back, Den.” she grinned.
Alden grabbed his phone and opened the Bandium app, sending a group text to the team. “Update in Kasie’s lab.”
A few minutes later, Nick, Tim, and Jessica walked in. Alden kissed your forehead and joined them upfront. “Is this Missus okay?” Nick asked.
“She’s not the Missus–yet.”
“Oh, is someone preparing a proposal?” Kasie teased.
“I am indeed, but let’s not talk about it here,” he looked in the back, making sure you didn’t hear anything. “So, tell me everything.”
The team updated their supervisor on everything they collected at the crime scene, which wasn’t much. Despite a few witnesses, there was no explicit description of the shooter. “Enter the future mama.” Kasie smiled, showing the picture on her screen. She was working on clearing it, as it was really blurry.
“She was shaking when she took it.” Alden told them, “But I guess it helps to date a cop,”
“Maybe this case will be closed fast, thanks to your beautiful girlfriend you never told us about!” Jessica teased him.
“I’ll tell you everything you want to know later, but for now, I wanna make sure there will be no repercussions on her so I’m not leaving her side.”
“Overprotective, future dad Alden Parker.”
“You know what? Yes!” He admitted to his team, “I’m overprotective, jealous, probably annoying to her and very much in love. And when my son is born, I’ll bore you to death with pictures and stories about him!” he grinned, not noticing that you came out from the back of the lab. You hugged him from behind.
“Don’t worry, we had McGee that did the same with his twins.”
“Hey!”
“You’ve got a job to do, Alden. You can’t stay by my side.”
“Watch me.”
“Help, guys?”
“If she stays down here, she’s with Kasie.” Jessica offered.
“I can even lock the doors, if it makes you feel better.”
Alden sighed. His team was siding with you and he didn’t like that. You witnessed a murder, and maybe he was overreacting by thinking you may be in danger, but he was taking any risk with you and the baby. Never. He had no common sense when it came to you, he knew it from the beginning, before you even got together.
“Alden, I’ll watch over her like she’s the apple of my eye.”
He looked at your smile, knowing he couldn’t say no to you. “You rest, you eat, you stay hydrate, and if there’s anything–”
“Take him out while you can,” you pushed him towards his team and Jessica was the one to grab his arm.
“Don’t pop that kid out now.” Nick joked before closing the door behind them.
“Your baby daddy makes me think I may be mistaken about white men.” Kasie told you and you never felt more proud. And according to his kick, so was your son.
You stayed with Kasie for an hour, watching her going through the evidence while answering your boyfriend’s texts. You talked a lot, getting to know each other. She asked why you and Alden weren’t married yet, and you admitted that you wanted to marry him and he always told you he didn’t want to do it again because of his catastrophic first experience. Then she asked if you had a baby shower planned and you admitted that most of your friends and family turned their back to you because you were dating an older man.
Kasie was already planning a surprise baby shower for you.
Alden came back and acted like he hadn’t seen you in weeks. He made sure you and the baby were okay, once again. He had the baby store’s bag in his hand and gave it to you. “Wanna show me what you bought?”
Smiling, you got the clothes out of the bag. It was a baby scarf, a little flanel, some jeans and black vans sneakers. “Oh my god, these are the cutest things ever!” Kasie exclaimed despite herself. You and Alden laughed, and you handed the clothes to her. “Is he going to fit in this?”
“Crazy, right?” Alden smiled, looking at the baby shoes in his hands.
“I can’t believe that soon, the tiny human growing inside you will be in those.” Kasie was amazed and you were close to sob. You missed having a friend to share that with, a friend would be excited to meet your baby boy. Alden noticed the tears in your eyes and held you against his chest. He didn’t have to ask what was going on.
“Trust me, Kas, when it’s the woman you love carrying your baby, it’s just–indescribable.”
Kasie saw many couples in her life, but never had she witnessed two people that much in love with each other. “You’re not crying because of me, sweetie, right?”
“Hormones,” you said, which wasn’t a complete lie.
Alden kept holding you, stroking your back and hair, until you stopped crying.
Eventually, they had to talk about the case. Kasie managed to clear the picture you took, but unfortunately, the car was stolen a few days prior, so it wasn’t helping much. You felt bad for them. “You’re coming back to the bullpen with me?” he asked and you could see that he didn’t want to be away from you. You agreed, kissed Kasie’s cheek and followed the man you loved.
In the elevator, he hugged you as tight as possible. “I’m sorry,” he whispered.
“It’s not your fault. They aren’t real friends if they turn their backs so easily, right?”
“Exactly. You have real friends here. A new family even.”
“Gonna need to know more about Kasie, but I feel like she’ll be a great godmother to our boy, don’t you think?”
“The best.”
The team had to meet people for their case, get information, but Alden refused to leave the office. He sent his team who completely understood and you stayed at his desk, next to him. He was working while keeping a hand on your belly. Your son kicked every now and then, and Alden answered by softly pressing on your skin with his fingers. It was like they had their own code to communicate and you loved to witness it. “I’m not in danger, right?”
“No, sweetheart.” he kissed you. “I’m overreacting, I’m sorry.”
“Not the first time, won’t be the last,” you touched his eyebrow, looking at him lovingly. “I love how protective you are.”
“Even if it’s too much, sometimes?”
“Even that,” you kissed him but got stopped by someone clearing their throat.
“Joanna, hi.” Alden greeted the woman standing in front of his desk.
“Alden.” she said, before looking at you up and down. Her eyes stopped on your baby bump. It didn’t take you long to understand who she was.
“Joanna, this is my partner, Y/N. Honey, this is Joanna, a coworker.”
Grinning, you extended your hand to her but she didn’t take it. “Can I talk to you–privately?”
“No, what’s going on?”
“Are you sure you want your partner to hear?”
“Partner and mother of his child,” you corrected.
“Did you know that the father of your child likes to flirt with other women?”
“I never flirted with you, Joanna.”
“Sure you didn’t,”
“Love, can you take me to the bathroom? I’m not feeling great–”
Completely blocking Joanna, Alden’s face turned pale as he helped you stand up and took you to the bathroom. He kept asking you what was wrong, if he needed to call 911 or your OBGYN. It was only when you were in the bathroom that you smiled and kissed him. “I’m perfectly fine.” you told him. “But this woman wasn’t going to leave us alone.”
“Y/N, damnit! You can’t do that to me, my heart is racing as hell!” you pressed your hand against his chest and realized that he wasn’t lying.
“I’m sorry, babe. We’re fine.”
Alden pressed his forehead against yours, holding your face in his hands, “I never flirted with her.” he told you.
“I know, Den. It’s always the same problem with you; you’re too nice with everybody and women tend to take it for flirting and interest.”
“I’ll try to be an ass from now on.”
You laughed, “You couldn’t even if you tried.” He softly kissed you.
“Gonna call the team and see if it’s okay if I call it a day.”
“Alden…”
“Shh,”
For the team, it was okay. Alden could take you home for the rest of the day. They were handling it, and this case didn’t seem like a hard one.
Once at your place, you put the clothes in the wardrobe. There were too many clothes for just one baby, especially considering how fast he’s going to grow. “Don’t worry,” Alden said, hugging you and your bump from behind. “The ones he doesn’t have the opportunity to wear, our next baby boy will.”
You laughed, “Let me give birth to this one before thinking about another one.”
“And another one, and another and another,” he kissed your neck.
“Do you want me to give birth to a team, daddy?”
“Yes. The DC Parkers.”
You turned around to face him, “I love you so much.”
“I love you more.”
It was only the next morning that you learned Alden sent an email to his director to inform him he would be working from home. He asked you to do the same for your work and you stayed at home for a couple of days.
It was only when his team told him that you were in no danger that he managed to leave you out of his sight.

Gibbs x Reader One Shot
Prompt: You’re Gibbs’ wife and an NCIS agent and see your underage son at a bar while out on a sting operation.
Mentions of drinking.
You fixed your earrings in the car mirror and made sure your ear piece was secured.
“Testing audio. Y/L/N, you look absolutely ravishing in that dress. You should wear it more often,” Tony flirted.
“Jethro. Smack him for me please.”
All you heard was the familiar sound of hand meeting head and smiled.
“Alright so we need to make sure he either provides us with the name of his boss or the address where they’re hiding him. Remember, he only agreed to this meeting because he thinks you’re a double agent. Don’t leave the bar with him and if he gets spooked, we’ve got Torres inside already at the bar,” your husband lectured.
“Yes honey. I got it.”
You walked across the parking lot and into the semi crowded club, looking for your mark without seeming obvious. You spotted Nick first, pretending to nurse a drink at the bar and then saw your mark, sitting not far away at a high top table.
You walked over and took a seat across from him.
“Powell?” you asked.
“Yeah. You must be Agent Stanton,” he confirmed.
“So how do you want to do this? You gonna give me the name of your employer? Or I’ll settle for an address of where he’ll be.”
“Slow your role Agent. We’ll get there. First I wanna know a little bit about you. How is it that an NCIS agent with an outstanding background turns on her own?”
Remembering the backstory Abby created for you, you rolled your eyes and recited your lines. “It was a good run for a while. But doesn’t pay nearly as much as gun running.”
He nodded and sat back in his chair, thinking.
“Listen. If you’re not the guy to come to for stuff like this, I can find someone else. You just seemed like someone in charge.”
He scoffed, clearly offended, “Oh I am, and if anyone says anything different they find out the truth real quick.”
“Did Agent Carter find out the truth?”
He squinted his eyes at you in suspicion just as a familiar laugh broke through the silence.
Turning your head, you look over towards the VIP section of the club and can’t believe what you see. Your 17 year old son laughing and drinking with a bunch of older men and women. Had you not been on an important op, you would’ve walked over and dragged him out of there by his ear.
“Before we continue, I need a drink. Would you like one?” You ask, grabbing your purse and trying to contain your anger.
“Another Jack and Coke.”
You nodded and turned to walk toward the bar.
“What are you doing?” Tony asked through the ear piece.
“Jethro. I just spotted our son laughing and drinking with a bunch of people in the VIP section. Do something now before I march over there and blow this whole operation.”
“Torres. Get over there and bring him out here to us. Quietly,” Jethro ordered.
As you reached the bar, Torres left and you ordered 2 whiskey and cokes, genuinely now needing a drink. While walking back over to your table, you saw Torres pulling your son aside out of the corner of your eye.
“Here you go. Now. Where were we?”
————
You stomped over to the surveillance van and threw open the doors, meeting the eyes of your son who already looked like he had been thoroughly chastised.
“Tell me why on God’s green earth were you in that club with a group of people twice your age!”
Tim and Tony were both quiet as your husband stood in the back with his arms crossed. “I wasn’t even drinking mom. My friend invited me and knew the bouncer. I was just having fun.”
“Having fun? You do know that is a place where very dangerous individuals like to hang out don’t you? You could’ve “had fun” in so many different ways than what you did. You put yourself at risk for all different types of dangers, not to mention arrest, had anyone knew you were underage!”
He stayed quiet, not looking you in the eyes and took a deep breath. “Out. Now. You’re riding with me and your father.”
“But Tony said I could-
“Hey now, I didn’t exactly promise anything,” Tony defended himself with his hands up.
“Get. Out. Now.”
Both him and Jethro exited the van and you all walked over to the secondary car with Jethro driving. For about half the ride, it was completely silent until you broke it.
“You are grounded for a month. No games, no computer, and you get the emergency phone only. We expect you home every night at exactly 6pm, any later without a solid excuse and your grounding sentence gets added to. Do I make myself clear?”
“Yeah.”
“Don’t yeah your mother. Does she make herself clear?” Jethro said sternly, backing you up.
“Yes, sir.”
You closed your eyes and tried not thinking about all the ways the night could’ve gone wrong. Jethro must of sensed your anxiety because you felt his hand rest on your thigh and give it a reassuring squeeze.
“We’re not trying to be mean S/N. We just want you to really understand the dangers in what you did and that it can’t go unpunished. We love you.”
“I know. Love you guys too,” he answered, softly, making you tear up.
“Now we’re gonna go home, you’re going to give us all your electronics and then help your father down in the basement.”
There was an obvious groan from him and you both smiled. Putting your hand on top of Jethros, you lock eyes with him and he gives you his famous smirk.

Kiss Cam
Tumblr media
First can I just say ^^^ Damn 😍
Summary: When you and Parker go to the Cubs game, you end up on the Kiss Cam.
Warnings: mention of death.
Word count: 1639
Fandom: NCIS
Pairing: Alden Parker x f!reader
Kiss Cam
Once you got used to Alden being around instead of Gibbs, you began to get to know him. Soon you found out you had things in common, like, you both like the Cubs. You were born in Chicago and your dad always took you to a game when he was on leave. It was your thing. But after he died, you stopped going. It was just too painful to go without your best friend.
Parker had asked you if you wanted to go to a couple of games now but you always declined. Partly because it was your father-daughter bonding activity. But also because you now harboured a large and not very subtle crush on you new boss and being alone with him both excited you and scared the crap out of you. You knew you’d do something stupid and then you’d have to quit.
Everyone on the team knew. In fact, everyone in the building knew. All except Parker. Or at least he didn’t show any indication that he knew.
Jess was the first to notice your longing looks. Then Kasie, then McGee. Torres was the last to notice and he ended up handing Jess, 20 bucks. Over the next few months, they start to notice that the boss may feel the same way. You didn’t believe them. I mean the guy was quite possibly the sexiest guy you’ve ever seen.
Soon they get sick of the two of you just looking at each other all the time when the other isn’t watching. So, Torres and Jess buy you two some tickets to the next Cubs game and they weren’t going to let you say no. McGee told them not to push you but they didn’t listen but then again, they didn’t know the reason you said no.
McGee did. He was there. He was there with you through it all. Your dad came back from a tour and he was hit by a car which put him in a coma. McGee sat with you, in the waiting room, in your father’s room. When you found out your father was brain dead, he was right there with you. He was right there when you had to make the decision to turn off the life support. McGee used all his comp time to stay with you. For so long it was just you and your dad and when you lost him, you lost yourself.
You didn’t leave your house in months, not until McGee decided to drag you out and take you to the one person, he knew always made you smile. Ducky. The guy was like a grandfather to you. You reckon your dad would have like him too, because he was a sucker for a good story and Ducky had plenty of them.
Slowly you began to realise that you still had family and you still had people who cared about you. McGee, Ducky, Abby, Tony, Ziva and Gibbs, who became your secondary parental figure. You almost broke down again when he didn’t return, but when McGee told you about what he said, about Shannon and Kelly and how he was finally at peace, you were happy. Maybe you’d find that one day too.
When Jess and Nick presented the tickets to you both, they claimed that some friends gave them to them and since they weren’t fans, they wanted you to have them so they didn’t go to waste.
“You wanna go?” Parker asked you. You looked over to McGee, your eyes pleading for him to help you, “I take that as a no,” he sighed, moving towards Jess to take the tickets but Jess pulled them out of his reach. His eyebrow furrowed in confusion.
“You both should go. You both like the Cubs, so why not?”
“Jess, she doesn’t wan…”
“I haven’t been to a game since my dad died,” you admitted aloud, your eyes looking at your feet. You sniffled, wiping your eyes trying to compose yourself before raising your head to look at Parker, “It was never because I just didn’t wanna go with you. It was just,” you paused, shrugging as you glanced quickly at McGee then back to his gorgeous hazel eyes, “I-it was something we did together, father-daughter bonding, you know?”
Parker smiled softly, nodding his head. He was glad that you weren’t trying to actively avoid him but seeing you cry made his heart ache, it took all his power not to pull you to him and hold you until the pain numbed, “We can leave if it gets too much,”
You thought about it for a second, looking over at McGee who nodded and mouthed ‘go on’
“okay”
***
It’s the day of the game and you were nervous. Why? Because you had no idea what you were going to wear. Should you wear your jersey and cap or should you wear something to impress the man that you spend most of your time thinking about?
After much internal debate, you decided to go in your jersey. Simply because you argued with yourself so much that you didn’t leave enough time to figure something else out.
A knock sounded at the door and your inner teenager squealed as if this was your first date. Don’t be stupid. You thought to yourself. It’s not a date. No way someone as sexy, beautiful, handsome, hot, gorgeous… okay stop before you get too carried away.
You picked up your purse and headed for the door, you quickly opened it and you were greeted by Parker. In a cubs sweatshirt. Something you never thought you’d find so sexy and yet this man proves you wrong.
He looked up at you, looking at your cap, “You ready to go?”
“Yeah,” you said, grabbing your keys from the bowl you kept beside the door. Something you had to do because at least you knew where they were.
The car ride was mostly silent, until Parker noticed your leg bouncing up and down. He reminded you that you could leave at any time if it got too much. You reassured him that you were okay, just nervous.
When you got to the Ballpark, as if on autopilot, you went to get a hot dog. You apologize to Parker when you realise what you’d done. He just smiled and told you not to worry about it.
You got to your seats and the game began. At first you felt guilty for having fun but soon when you see Parker enjoying himself and being very enthusiastic, you start to relax and just enjoy the moment. You laughed when the kiss cam came up, remembering when you and your dad appeared one year, on your 12th birthday and he kissed your nose. But then something happened. You and Parker were on the screen.
You try to cover your face as everyone around you cheers. Both you and Alden shake your heads and the cheers turn to boos. The cam finally moves on to others and the game resumes. Then it happens again. Several times.
You rolled your eyes, fed up, “Oh, for fuck sake!” you yell before grabbing Alden’s face, bringing his lips to yours. What were you doing? Although, he’s not pulling away. Cheers erupted but you barely register them. All you can think about is the feeling of his silky smooth lips on yours. His moustache tickling your nose. But your about to get too carried away. You wanted nothing more than to deepen the kiss, to straddle him, to be as close to him as possible. But you were in public, so you reluctantly pull away, blushing. Quickly you turn your attention back to the field as the game resumes, to hide the heat that was coating your usual pale complexion.
“I wonder why they kept coming back to us,” Alden spoke up after about half an hour of silence. He was in shock that you made a move. That you kissed him, on tv, for the world to see. Him. An old man.
You looked at him and shrugged, “Don’t know,” before turning your gaze back to the game.
Yeah, you didn’t know, but there were two people who did.
“Thank you, my good sir,” Nick said as he slipped a hundred bucks to the camera man.
“Think it’ll work?” Jess asked as they both make their way out.
“It was my idea, of course it’s going to work,” Torres cockily replied.
Jess rolled her eyes at him, “I’m amazed you can still fit that big head in the elevator,”
After the game was over, Parker dropped you off back home. He began to apologize about the kiss cam and for being the one they made you kiss. Did he seriously think that you thought kissing him was a bad thing?
You wanted to eliminate those thoughts from his mind, so without the thousands of screaming fans, telling you to kiss. You told yourself. You brought your hand to his face, his beard slightly tickling the palm of your hand and brought his lips down to yours.
This time, it was slow, sweet and private. But now being alone, your self control was slipping away. You brought your other hand to his hair as you deepened the kiss but all too soon he pulled away.
“What are we doing?”
“Kissing,” you shrugged. “You apologized for me having to kiss you on the kiss cam. But it’s something I’ve wanted to do for months,”
“Why me?”
“Don’t you own a mirror?” you asked him, he laughed and pulled you back into a kiss, this one more needy, more desperate. Tongues colliding, teeth clashing. When you pulled away for air, you let your head fall to rest in the crook of his neck and the next words you said would change your relationship forever.
“Stay”
[A/N] hope you liked it. Sort of inspired by the movie "Set it Up" love Zoey Deutch, she's just so adorable and funny in that.

Doubts ~ Alden Parker 2/2
Summary: Alden Parker reconnects with his first love and it gets him all confused  Pairing: Alden Parker x Fem!Reader Words count: 5.5k Warnings: age gap relationship, pregnancy talk, mention of dissociation Author's note: it's been a while since I wrote for Alden and I definitely didn't expect for it to be this long, nor take this way either but here we are. I'm giving myself to opportunity to write sequel fics with that ending, cause you never know. I hope you're enjoying it <3 love!
Around lunch time, he received a text from Jeremy.
‘Wanna come over with your lady tonight?’ He didn’t answer immediately because he didn’t know.
A couple hours later, it was your turn to text him.
‘Jer is inviting us for dinner tonight. I’m down! You?’
He can leave Jeremy on read but he can’t do it to you.
‘Not sure, day’s a mess.’
More like his head is a mess.
‘Is it okay if I go anyway? You can join if you leave work early enough.’
‘Of course, go! I’ll keep you posted.’
‘Works. Love you, Superman! ❤️’
‘Love you too’
“You look miserable, Parker.” Nick Torres informed him as he grabbed a pastry still sitting on Alden’s desk.
“Thanks, Torres?”
“I bet it’s past days haven't been easy for you. When are we going to meet the future Mrs Parker?”
“Don’t know. We got some stuff planned already.”
“You know she can just stop by.” Jess chimed in.
“Been there, done that. Nope.”
“Alden” it was Tim’s turn to join, “We’re not jerks from the FBI, you know?”
“I don’t worry about you guys. But—“ his hand gesture showed off the entire headquarters, meaning everyone else.
“I know what’s going on!” Jess interjected, earning puzzled looks from her coworkers. “You’re gatekeeping her.”
“Gatekeeping?”
“Kasie told me how pretty she is. And she’s younger than you.”
“We established that.”
“You are afraid someone in here, in her age rank, will try to swoop her away from you.”
Alden let out a humorless laugh. “Trust me, Jess, I’ve seen many people try and fail. Right in front of me. I’m not worried about that.”
“Or maybe she’s just good at hiding it.” Nick grinned at his team leader.
“Torres, shut up.”
“Gatekeeping.” Jess said, again. And Tim and Nick repeated it as agreements.
Alden Parker wasn’t sure what drove him to Joy’s house once again. He didn’t even know why he drove for two hours before going there, just to get her favorite pastries from when they were kids. The case is done, and he should put this behind him like it’s been all of those years. But when she opened the door and welcomed him inside, he smiled.
They settled at the table with coffee and pastries, and started to talk. It was about the case this time, it was about them. Their past, what happened, how they felt. What their lives became from there. He learned that his ex wife Vivian visited Joy after their divorce because she “wanted to see the woman she fought against through the entire marriage.”
“That’s very stupid.” He said “And I’m sorry she actually came to see you.”
“It’s okay, at least I knew about how your life turned out. But it was fifteen years ago. What happened after that?”
You. He met you several years after his divorce, but that was the only answer he wanted to give. You happened, and you made his life a thousand times better.
“I'm getting married in two months.”
“Oh! I didn’t—well, congratulations, Park. Kids? Stepkids perhaps?”
“No and no.”
“Do you regret not having kids?”
Alden rubbed his face before answering. “I’m sorry, maybe you don’t want to talk about—“
“She’s younger than me. Young enough to get pregnant, so—“
“Okay, back up. When you say younger than you—?”
“Ryan’s age.”
“You kidding me right now?”
He shook his head no.
“Park, what the hell! Are you seriously getting married to a girl who could be your daughter?”
“Please, don’t, Joy. I’ve had this conversation too many times, I’m not having it with you.”
“I’m sorry, but it’s—“
“Wrong? Bad? Sick? Perverted? Trust me, I heard it all.”
“No, I was just going to say that—it’s too bad.” He looked up to her. “I was hoping you were single.”
He felt her hand on top of his. He knew he should’ve moved his hand away. He should’ve told her to back off, tell her that he wasn’t, and he was very happy about his life and upcoming wedding. But he let her. He let her intertwine her fingers with his. He even squeezed and she softly smiled. She got closer to him, and he didn’t move away. He saw her face approaching his, and he stayed there. Her lips touched his and he didn’t pull away.
When his phone buzzed, he basically jumped from his seat, stepping away from Joy. Confused and lost, he grabbed his phone and saw that Jeremy was calling. He cleared his throat before answering.
“Hey pal.” He tried to sound casual.
“Uncle Alden! Where are you? Are you coming?” Eli.
“Buddy, hey! I’m still at work, but I’m coming soon, okay? I hope you didn’t start eating without me?”
“No but hurry, you’re gonna miss the beginning of the game!”
“I’m on my way! I’m hurrying up!”
“Okay! But auntie said "drive safe.””
“Always.”
Joy was sitting at the table again. “My godson.”
“And he’s waiting for you, from what I understood.”
“Yeah, dinner and a baseball game.”
He grabbed his coat to put it on.
“Is she his godmother?”
“No, Eli was five when I met her. But I really don’t want to talk about her with you, Joy. That kiss shouldn’t have happened.” He started to walk towards the door.
“But it did and you didn’t fight. Not even for a second.”
And he hated that. He hated himself.
He opened the door.
“Maybe that wedding shouldn’t happen.” She said.
He closed the door.
It was probably one of the worst drive of his life. How could he let this happen? How could he do this to you? He never faulted when he was married to Vivian, or any other relationships, but he did it with you. You’re the most amazing thing that ever happened to him, the most precious person he could ever meet, and he betrayed you. And the worst part of this? He wasn’t sure it wouldn’t happen again. Because catching up with Joy does something to him. It makes him feel things he thought long gone. He makes him wonder a lot of things, and pretty much puts his whole life into perspective. What if he changed earlier and her parents didn’t move away? What if she answered his letters? What if life hadn’t separated them?
What if…
What if it was their second chance?
Alden knocked at the door and let himself in as usual. Eli came running to hug his godfather. Jeremy’s wife greeted him with a hug, the men greeted each other with their handshake, and his eyes laid down on you. You stood up from the couch with a soft smile. But he knows you well. He knows there’s sadness behind this smile. You probably could feel his internal struggle and was worried about it. But you were trying to hide it. “Hey you.” You whispered.
To your surprise, Alden pulled you into a hug before kissing your forehead and then your lips. It was brief, but nice.
You all settled in the living room, as the game was about to start. Jeremy’s wife had prepared some toasts and snacks to pick, and she served a beer to Alden. Eli was sitting next to his godfather, wearing his Cubs hat and you were on Alden’s other side. The game started, the conversations went from what you were watching to catching up with one another. Your fiancé and Jeremy talked about work here and there. You and his wife talked about the wedding, and she showed you some stuff she saw online. Lots of DIY.
“Let me just say it. Sweetie, my lovely wife here is just waiting for you to ask to do all those things for the wedding.” Jeremy said.
“Jer!!” His wife interjected.
“Do you really want to do all of this for us?” You asked her.
“Kinda. I mean, I love weddings and I didn’t get to plan ours cause I was very much pregnant. But yeah, I’d love to. If it’s okay with you of course.”
“Of course! I mean I’m good with planning, but decorations, ambiance, that’s not my strong suit.”
“Don’t worry about that then. I’m handling it.”
You hugged her and looked at Alden. He was physically there, but his mind was far away. You could tell.
“Den, you good with Becky taking care of the decor?”
“Yeah, sure. Of course.” He forced a smile. “Thank you Beck’s.”
You spent the rest of the game looking at your fiancé who was clearly avoiding your eyes, or actually you altogether. He was focusing on the game with Eli, shouting at the TV here and there. Becky made small talk with you and you answered, doing your best to hide how you were really feeling. At half time, Jeremy invited Alden to the backyard. “You good, man?”
“Yes, just tired. Long week.”
“Meeting again with your first love.”
Alden didn’t take the slug he was about to. He stopped, staring at his best friend.
“She told you?”
“Of course. She’s worried, Alden.” Jeremy waited for Alden to say something but he just stared at his beer. “Is she right to be worried?”
He looked up to his best friend but this time, he had tears in his eyes. Still unable to say anything, he just shook his head. Not as “no”, but as defeat. He was lost, and lost for words. Jeremy wheeled closer. “Did something happen?” He whispered.
“We kissed.”
“Alden.”
“I know, Jer. I’m—horrible. Doing this to her? I hate myself for it, I would kick my own ass if I could.”
“Look. If it was just a kiss, I’m sure she can get past it. She’ll give you hell for it though.”
Alden stayed silent again.
“Was it more than a kiss?”
“No, no! Just that. But—“
Jeremy was starting to understand.
“Parker, don’t tell me you’re questioning everything right now?”
“I’m lost, Jer. I love Y/N so much, she’s my world. But I can’t shake the feeling that— Joy reappeared for a reason. You know?”
“And that reason was her stupid ass son.”
“He’s a good kid.”
“Don’t. I’m not going to support this bullshit, Alden.”
“What does that mean?”
“It means—if you end it with Y/N to get back to Joy, you’re making the biggest mistake of your life. You’ll regret it faster than you can imagine and believe me, I’ll be right here to say “I told you so””
“Thanks for your support, friend.”
“You’re my brother and I love you, and it’s my job to tell you when you’re being the biggest idiot.”
Alden drank the rest of his beer in one swallow. Jeremy wasn’t moving. He was waiting for his best friend to come to his senses.
“Will you take care of her?” Alden asked.
“What?”
“If I— make the biggest mistake of my life. Will you take care of her?”
Jeremy only saw Alden crying twice. After the accident, and at this very moment. He seemed heartbroken and genuinely torn apart by what he was feeling. Jer wanted to shake him off, but realized there was no point.
“Yes. We will.” He reassured him.
Inside the house, you were playing on your phone with Eli. When the commercials were over, he stood up to get his dad and goddad but came back quickly without them. “Auntie. Uncle Den is crying!”
“What? Are you sure?”
He nodded so you rushed to the backyard. Eli was right. Alden was crying. You immediately kneeled down in front of him, and grabbed his face. “Alden baby, what’s wrong? What’s happening?”
He loosely wrapped his arms around you and buried his face in your neck. “I’m sorry.” He whispered. You looked at Jeremy for some answers but he avoided your eyes.
“Sorry for that? Alden, look at me. Talk to me.”
“Please forgive me.”
“Forgive you what? What do you want me to forgive you for?”
You tried to grab his face to make him look at you but he fought off and kept his head in your neck.
“Joy.” You simply said.
Alden didn’t answer but he held you tighter. As if he knew you were about to pull away from him. Jeremy was still avoiding your eyes.
“Did you sleep with her?”
You were getting angry at his avoidance. You shouted his name, so he would stop hiding in your neck and holding you so tight you couldn’t escape. “Answer the goddamn question. And fucking let go of me.”
His hold loosened a little, and his face rose up. He looked pitiful. “Did you sleep with her?” You repeated, sharper this time.
“We kissed.” He whispered, avoiding your eyes.
You didn’t react immediately, just took some sharp deep breaths. He kissed her. He kissed someone else. It was breaking your heart, but at the same time, maybe it was better than him sleeping with her like you thought. You could get over a kiss, right? You could forgive him for being lost for a moment.
“Was that all?” You asked, afraid of the answer.
He nodded, but kept avoiding your eyes.
“Fucking look at me, Alden.”
He did. Slowly. You were mad at him, hurt and felt betrayed. But you loved him beyond words, and most importantly, you didn’t want to lose him over a kiss.
“I’m sorry.” He said. “I’m lost.”
“What do you mean, you’re lost?”
Alden was nervously rubbing his hands and he looked down at his feet again. You grabbed his chin, forcing him to look you in the eyes. “Stop stalling.” You were getting angrier and angrier.
“I just–I don’t know what to say, sweetheart. I’m sorry for the kiss, for doing this to you. I hate myself for it.” He gently grabbed your hand that was still on his face and covered it with both his hands. “But I– I don’t know what I want anymore.”
You instantly took your hand off his despite the grip he had on it and you leaned back. Away from him. The tears that had been frightening to fall were now rolling down your cheeks.
“You don’t know if– you want to be with me or with her?” You sum up.
“Baby, I–”
“You’re telling me that– you’re ready to throw everything away. The past two years we’ve had together, our upcoming wedding, projects we have– for an ex, that you hadn’t seen in forty fucking years? That’s what you’re saying, Alden? You saw her only days ago, but you’re willing to risk losing me over her?” You didn’t know how you manage to say all of this despite feeling your throat closing in. You were choking up, but you needed to understand. You needed him to speak up, no matter how bad it could hurt.
“I just need some time.”
At this moment, you stood up so fast your head spinned for a second. Or maybe it was the shock of what was happening.
“Time? You need time?” You started to move like a lion in a cage, fighting off your tears as much as you could. Alden stayed seated, looking down at his shoes again. “Look at me you fucking coward.”
You knew this word would get a reaction out of him. He stood up too, grabbed your face to make you stop moving.
“I love you.” he choked up. “But I need closure.”
Those words broke your heart. You knew what it meant.
You pulled your face off his grip, looked down at your engagement ring for a moment before taking it off and putting it in his palm. “Go for it.”
You walked past Jeremy, Becky and Eli - who didn’t understand what exactly was going -, grabbed your stuff and left.
~
It’s been a week.
A week since you last saw Alden, a week since he broke your heart into thousands of pieces. A week since you walked home and trashed his greenhouse, because you couldn’t control yourself nor your pain. You knew it wasn’t a way to react, that it was impulsive, but when you got home to get some stuff, you looked around in tears. You saw pictures framed of the two. You didn’t mean to throw it on the floor at first but as you held it, you got madder at his face. His smile. You couldn’t hit him, but you could destroy that picture. From this, you completely dissociated, walked into the greenhouse and broke everything. Throwing the pots on the floor, ripping his flowers, destroying his expensive telescope. In retrospect, you’re mad at yourself for doing all of this, and even considered apologizing to him via text. But you never brought yourself to do it. Not even when he texted to check up on you or tried to call.
You considered going over to Tay’s house, but decided against it and found a hotel to stay in. You didn’t want to see anyone, face anyone. You couldn’t face reality. For an entire week, you stayed in, barely ate, only texted Tay and Jeremy to let them know that you were indeed alive. But that was it.
Alden has been miserable through the entire week. Barely slept or ate, he wasn’t even bringing pastries to his team anymore. He met with Joy a couple of times but it didn’t feel right. He didn’t push her away when she kissed him, but stopped her when she wanted more. She said she understood it wasn’t easy for him, that she’d give him time to process the breakup, but the next minute, she was all over him. This wasn’t going the way he imagined. He was more lost than a week prior, because living without you felt impossible. He knew he couldn’t have it both ways, that he needed to make up his mind and stick to it. But all he’s been wanting to do was seeing you and holding you.
He remembers coming home after that night at Jeremy’s and finding the pictures framed all over the floor and the greenhouse completely trashed. He deserved it. He spent hours cleaning, saving what could be saved. He tried to repair his telescope, even asked Tim for some help but his younger coworker told him he may as well buy a new one.
The team was worried about their leader and they were thinking about interfering. They didn’t know exactly what had happened, but they were investigators so they figured out the big lines.
“No pastries today?” Nick asked Jess and Tim as he walked into the bullpen. He saw Parker’s coat on the back of his chair so he knew the senior agent was already in.
“Nope. And he’s in a mood.”
“Did you find his fiancée?” He asked Tim.
“I didn’t like doing it, but yeah, she registered in a hotel last weekend. Been there since.”
“So they are officially broken up?” Jess joined.
“Looks like it.”
“Boy, I hope he’s not seeing this Joy woman.”
Of course, this was the sentence Alden heard as he came back from accounting. “Gossiping about my love life? Seriously, don’t you have anything better to do?”
“We’re just worried about you, Parker.” Nick told him.
“I don’t need you to worry about me! I don’t need you to figure out where Y/N cause I already know! And I most definitely don’t need you to do something about it! Are we clear?”
“Yes, sir.” They all agreed.
He stayed a long time at the office after everyone was gone. He didn’t want to go home to an empty apartment. It still smelled too much like you, your presence was overwhelming as all your stuff was still there. Not that he wanted you to come get them.
It was the middle of the night when he got back to the apartment. And when he heard noises coming from the bedroom, he immediately reached for his gun and slowly walked towards the noises. “Federal Agent!” He called out. “Come out with your hands in the air!”
As he was about to reach the door, it opened to you. You were completely unbothered by his gun pointing at you, just walked past him to go to the bathroom. But you were stopped by his hand grabbing your wrist. He whispered your name, shocked to see you here. “Wh–What are you doing here? How are you?”
“I live here.” You just answered. “You want me gone? Then throw me out.” You tried to keep walking to the bathroom but Alden didn’t let go of your hand.
“No, no! I don’t want you gone! I–I’m not throwing you out. Wasn’t in the first place. I’m just–I didn’t expect to see you here. You’ve been ghosting me.”
“Oh and that surprised you?”
“I guess not, I just– I didn’t want things to happen the way it did.”
“Look Alden, I’m about to pee myself here. So let me tell you why I’m here. I’m not going to make this easy on you. You want to see her? Fine. But you’re not doing it here. You’re stuck between me and her? Too bad, I’m not leaving my spot. Also, you’re making all the calls for the wedding. You’ll call the guests, the caterer, the venue, the minister and tell them you’re canceling it. You should deal with the consequences and I’ll make sure that you do.”
You pulled your hand away and he let go. You really needed to pee. And when you got out of the bathroom, he was still there. Leaning against the wall, jacket off and gun pulled away. He looked miserable. But it was all his fault.
“I’m not seeing her.” He informed you. “I just said I needed time.”
“So what? I should’ve stayed here, and waited until you may or may break up with me? Sit here and wonder if you’re coming home late because you’re with her?”
“Isn’t that what's gonna happen now that you’re here?”
You let a humorless laugh. “You didn’t get it. I’m here because this is my home. My name is on the lease, I pay half of the rent, my whole life is in here. I’m not giving that up, whether or not we’re broken up. And if that causes you trouble, then perfect.”
“So, we’re like what? Roommates?”
“If you want to put a label on it. You ruined my heart, Alden and I’m letting you ruin my whole life.”
“I never asked you to leave, Y/N!” His voice rose up, as he was getting angry. “I never wanted you out of my life! I didn’t even want to cancel the wedding, okay? All I needed was to figure things out!”
“But it wasn’t figuring out what suit you’re going to wear! It’s figuring out if you want to be with me or with her! Do you honestly think I would marry someone if I’m wondering if he really wants me?”
“Wait–” he stayed silent for a second, taking a deep breath. “Are you saying that–if I tell you I still want to marry you in two months, you wouldn’t want to?”
“I don’t want to spend the rest of my life wondering if you’re still thinking about her.” You didn’t know why but your voice got softer at this moment.
His eyes started to watered. “I kinda feel like you’re actually breaking up with me, right now.”
You silently cried for a moment. “You broke my heart, Alden.” you whispered. “I felt betrayed and rejected, like I’ve felt my entire life until I met you.”
Alden fell down against the wall until his butt hit the floor. He was silently crying, hating myself even more. “Then–Why are you here?” He struggled to ask.
You kneeled in front of him. “Because I’m pregnant.”
Alden’s brain froze for a very long moment. Did he hear you right? or was he hallucinating? Was it a dream? Were you really pregnant? With his baby? He stared a blind spot for several minutes, but finally looked back at you. He wanted to smile. Despite the horrible circumstances, despite how you got to this point. You were pregnant. You were carrying his baby. Silently, he extended his arms, tentatively trying to touch your stomach. But you stopped him. “Don’t just yet.” It hurt you more than you could’ve imagined to say those following words, “I’m considering abortion.”
His brain froze again for a moment.
“Wait, what? No!” He got on his knees. “Princess! No. I know it’s your body, but I probably shouldn’t be doing this but please, let’s talk about this. You’re pregnant.” More tears fell down his cheeks, but it wasn’t sadness. “You’re carrying our baby.”
“Alden—“ you choked up. “Don’t make this harder than it already is, please.”
“I can’t let you have abortion without talking it through. I can’t.”
“I said I was considering it.” This time, he managed to hear his hands on your stomach and you didn’t pull away. You were ugly crying by now. “That’s not how I imagined this would go. It should’ve been the most amazing news of our lives, but now—it feels wrong.”
“Wrong? That’s the furthest thing from wrong.” He gently held your face. “It’s far from ideal, it’s—messy if you want to put it that way. But we can figure it out. We can make it work, one way or another.”
“I don’t want to do the coparenting thing, Den. I want to raise my baby with its father, my husband.”
“And I want to kiss you right now.” He whispered.
“Please don’t. Don’t choose me because I’m pregnant. I could never be happy with that.”
“I understand. Really, I get it.” Silence filled the room again, except for sniffing and deep breaths coming from both you and Alden. “How about we get up now and sleep on it? You can take the master bedroom.”
You followed his lead and stood up. “Did you really think I’d sleep in the guest room?”
He chuckled softly. “Of course not. I just need my shorts and phone charger.”
Neither of you slept.
You didn’t want to tell him about the pregnancy just yet, nor like that. You wanted to wait a little and see how things were, see if being around him could help you make a decision. But he knows now, and it may have been easier if he said he didn’t want this baby.
But Alden wanted this baby. He’s never been this close to being a dad. No woman has ever been pregnant with his baby. And the fact that it’s you—he wants to erase those past two weeks. Erase his doubts, erase his behavior, erase the hurt and pain he caused you. He never doubted his love for you, though. He knows what happened in his mind, he’s known before tonight. Maybe he should just face it and admit it to you.
You woke up in the morning to the smell of food. Your favorite breakfast food and it both made you hungry and nauseous. You rushed to the bathroom as soon as your eyes opened, and Alden immediately joined you as he saw you running. He kneeled down next to you, holding your hair as your morning sickness hit. He gently rubbed your back. Once you were done, you sat on the floor against the wall. “I’ll get you water.”
“No. Give me my toothbrush first.”
He stood up, grabbed your toothbrush that you left there (you only packed a few clothes the week prior and bought the rest), added some toothpaste on it and handed it to you. You brushed your teeth while staying on the floor.
“Do you want me to carry you to the couch?”
“I’m pregnant, Alden, not invalide.”
You walked to the kitchen with your baby daddy on your toes.
“I cooked but I don’t know if you’re gonna be able to eat. Or maybe you want something else? Any cravings?”
You sat at the kitchen island and buried your face in your hands. “Alden, stop. Don’t act like your usual loving and caring self.”
“Ooookay. What am I supposed to do then?”
“I don’t know.”
He put a big glass of water in front of you and sat on the stool next to yours. He made you spin so you were facing each other. “There’s something I need to tell you.”
You took a deep breath, “I’m listening.”
“I always knew I’d come back to you.”
“What?”
“I needed closure with Joy. Subconsciously, I was hoping you’d let me—“
“Do your thing with her and wait patiently until you come back?”
He sighed. “It’s horrible, I know. It was selfish and wrong, and just plainly— jerk behavior.”
“I’d say asshole. Dumbass. Dickhead.”
He sadly chuckled. “Whatever word you want to use, they are all valid.”
“Basically, you wanted me to give you a pass on this.”
“Something like that, yeah.”
“When did you reach that conclusion?”
“A few days ago. I ran into Max and his mom, and poor little guy was so upset at us—“
“Oh my god! His game!”
“Yeah. We missed it. And I tried to explain to him that we had some issues, and after he stopped pouting, he actually listened. I told him I’ve had a problem in the greenhouse and that I’d loved his help to get it back the way it was. And I guess from what I told him, he understood that you were temporarily away. And he told me, “We have to make the apartment spot clean for when Y/N comes back.” From there, my mind—“
Alden watched you as you stood up and went to get something from the closet. Then you walked towards the front door with a gift in your hands. “Where are you going?”
“Apologize!”
He didn’t move until you came back, which wasn’t long after and the gift was still in your hands. “They are not home, I’ll try again later.”
“He’s not mad at us, I made sure of it.”
“I know, but we promised we’d be there. And we didn’t show up, he probably felt so sad.”
Your emotions overwhelmed you and you started to cry there, sitting on the couch. Alden sat next to you, hesitating for a moment before hugging you. You didn’t push him away. “He still loves us.” He assured you.
“I still love you but it doesn’t make it okay.”
You regretted saying it as soon as it left your mouth, but Alden uncontrollably smiled. Silver lighting.
You let Alden hold you for a moment, because it felt nice on some levels. You still couldn’t believe what he put you through though. “We were doing so good.” You whispered.
“I know. I’m not even sure I understand myself.”
You stayed silent once more.
“So, you didn’t—sleep with her?”
“No.”
“Well—maybe you should.”
“Wait, what?” Alden shifted, clearly taken off guard. He gently grabbed your chin to make you face him. “Are you seriously telling me to sleep with someone else?”
“Yes.” You said with eyes full of tears. “Maybe that way you can totally put it behind you.”
“That’s—crazy. Absolutely crazy.” He moved down to his knees. “I couldn’t go that far, princess. I did see her and we—made out, if we can call it that. But it felt wrong, so wrong. I wasn’t kissing the right person. When she was touching me, I kept thinking that only you can touch me. Only you know how to touch me. My entire world felt out of place. I think the sixteen years old in me wanted it, but fuck I’m not sixteen anymore. I’m a stupid old man, who’s so in love with a woman too young for him. A woman who definitely deserves better, because she’s the most amazing person I’ve ever met and I failed her.” He held your face in his big soft hands, and pressed his forehead against yours. “I’ll spend the rest of my life making it up to you, if you let me.” He kissed your nose. “I’ll make sure our little one knows how precious their mama is and that we are the luckiest.” You were both crying. “Please.” He added.
“You know those Moroccan pastries we had in a little shop in New York?”
“Sure. Kaab al ghzal.” He said in his best accent possible.
“I’m craving them.”
He chuckled softly. “Then I guess I’m going to New York.”
“Actually, I, um—there’s this new musical on Broadway—“
“Then I guess we are going to New York.”
“Two different bedrooms, Alden. Connecting at best.”
“I can deal with that. What else?”
“Your treat.”
“Obviously. That it?”
“You leave your phone here.”
Dilemma. He wouldn’t do it in a heartbeat if it wasn’t for his work. He’s technically off for the weekend, but being a Federal Agent comes with a lot of inconvenience, and being called at any time any day is one of them. But he saw in your eyes how serious you were. It wasn’t about his work, which is something you’ve always understood and were mostly okay with. It was about him showing you he meant every word he said.
“Let me just inform the team.”

Fanfiction Masterlist
It's been a long time coming but it's high time I put all the fanfic I've written in one place. Let's see if I can remember to keep this post updated this time.
I have written for: NCIS, X-Files, Star Wars, and Harry Potter
***This list is in progress, and I am working on putting all my work on Archive of Our Own, be on the lookout for additions***
-.-.-.-.-
NCIS
...and next thing i knew [Tumblr]
(Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
Silly little ficlet inspired by Tony's beard in Past Present Future. Takes place sometime after season 17.
Back to You [AO3]
(Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
A year after leaving Ziva on the tarmac, Tony can't stand being without her anymore, so he books a flight straight to Israel to see her again. However, he has more than a few surprises waiting for him when he gets there.
Between Friends [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
Because there was a deleted kiss from season 10 that almost made it into Family First... and I wanted to know what that would have looked like (please, CBS, release the kiss!)
Code Z [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
Almost 9 months after Tony leaves Ziva in Israel, McGee and Bishop answer Tony's desk phone to a surprise caller, a very distressed and fearful Ziva. Can Tony make it in time to witness one of the most important moments in his life?
Count to a Million [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
Sniper? What sniper? Count to a million, Tony is on his way to Israel to be with Ziva. And she's looking forward to it just as much as he is.
Gotta Be Love [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
Tony and Ziva are having fun babysitting Kayla and Jared Vance, but apparently kids are more perceptive than they'd thought. Kayla sees something in Tony and Ziva that they, themselves, do not see.
How Does a Moment Last Forever [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Tony DiNozzo & Tali DiNozzo; Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
How a shared love of movies helped Tony and Tali through their grief.
I Saw My Friend [AO3 *TBA*] [Tumblr]
(General; Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
After discovering Ziva's private shed and journals, Agent Bishop ponders the impact of her predecessor and what she went through.
I Will [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David; Tony DiNozzo & Tali DiNozzo)
Post-17x11 - “Who knows how long I’ve loved you? You know I love you still. Will I wait a lonely lifetime? If you want me to, I will.” -The Beatles
Phantoms [AO3] [Tumblr]
(General)
Gibbs has always had conversations with the dead. Diane dropping by years after her death is no surprise. But a few other people make their own appearances, helping Gibbs to cope with his current situation and the uncertainty of the future.
Precious Cargo [AO3 *TBA*] [Tumblr]
(Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
On the flight back from rescuing Ziva in Somalia, Tony thinks about just how close he came to losing her.
Promise Me [AO3 *TBA*] [Tumblr]
(Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
What if a confession of feelings followed the scene in the elevator? Swan Song AU.
Puzzle Pieces [Tumblr]
(Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
Short season 13 ficlet, Tony musing on the missing other half of his heart.
Season 3 [AO3]
(Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
A Tiva fic for every episode of season 3. May include: missing scenes, internal thoughts of characters, and more!
Seen It All Before [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Ellie Bishop/Nick Torres; implied Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
Torres and Bishop are starting to remind Tim of two other agents he used to know... They're not as good at hiding it as they think they are. He's seen this all before.
Someday [AO3 *TBA*] [Tumblr]
(Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
After Tony and Ziva spend the evening babysitting Vance's kids, they have a little talk about Tony's apparent fear of children, and what they see in regards to a family in their own future.
Not Alone [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
Delving into Tony's thoughts during the scene at the end of "Shiva" in season 10.
To Those Who Wait [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
Following the events of 17x11 "In the Wind," Tony and Tali get the best kind of surprise on the streets of Paris.
The Walls That Tell Our Stories [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
What I think we all want to imagine happened after the doors closed on that elevator at the end of Ducky's farewell episode.
White Christmas [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David; Timothy McGee/Delilah Fielding; Jimmy Palmer/Jessica Knight)
For Christmas 2023, the NCIS family makes their way to Alaska to celebrate all together for the first time in years.
Worth It [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Tony DiNozzo/Ziva David)
Tag to 09x13 "A Desperate Man." Ziva tells Tony about Ray standing her up at dinner the night before, and Tony has a "what if" moment. What if Tony had been there for Ziva when Ray was not?
-.-.-.-.-
X-Files
beautiful [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Fox Mulder/Dana Scully; Fox Mulder & Maggie Scully)
Weakened by her latest round of chemotherapy, Scully doesn't feel much like herself. Mulder helps her find the strength to keep fighting.
chance encounter [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Fox Mulder/Dana Scully)
Six months after becoming fugitives from the US government, Mulder and Scully have a chance encounter with someone that is very important to them.
Field of Dreams [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Fox Mulder/Dana Scully)
Mulder's favorite movie inspires him to fill his seemingly endless free time with a special project shortly after moving into the Unremarkable House.
neither snow nor rain [AO3] [Tumblr]
rain [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Fox Mulder/Dana Scully)
It looks like a certain niche magazine is publishing again.
of our own making [AO3]
(Fox Mulder/Dana Scully)
After the events of Amor Fati, Mulder isn't quite ready to give up on a miracle. It just might take a little extra work to get there. (a.k.a. the msr adoption fic)
(Fox Mulder/Dana Scully)
Two agents, caught in the rain again. Mulder does what he's always wanted to do.
sh-boom [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Fox Mulder/Dana Scully)
In his defense, the dreams he constantly has of Scully are extremely vivid. Where does the boundary between dream and reality lie? Takes place sometime in February 1998, during Season 5.
-.-.-.-.-
Star Wars
a dozen roses [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Obi-Wan Kenobi/Satine Kryze)
Some thoughts in the last moments of Duchess Satine Kryze's reign. Told from both Obi-Wan and Satine's perspectives.
a lily etched in armor [AO3]
(Obi-Wan Kenobi/Satine Kryze; Korkie Kryze & Ahsoka Tano)
After the excitement of exposing the corruption on Mandalore, Korkie Kryze shows his new friend Ahsoka something that once belonged to his father.
concordia [AO3]
(Obi-Wan Kenobi/Satine Kryze; Qui-Gon Jinn & Obi-Wan Kenobi; Qui-Gon Jinn & Satine Kryze)
The year on the run lasts a little longer than expected, and the group of three fugitives turns into four.
Dancing in the Dark [AO3]
(Ben Solo/Rey)
Just a whole lotta touch-starved, lonely Ben Solo feeling a lot of feels when the Force decides to connect him to Rey. Completely self-indulgent angst and fluff.
hope like the sun [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Obi-Wan Kenobi/Satine Kryze; Obi-Wan Kenobi & Anakin Skywalker; Padmé Amidala/Anakin Skywalker)
Obi-Wan wakes in a world where Anakin Skywalker never became Darth Vader, where instead of everything going wrong, everything went right. Is that too much for him to ask for?
i found gravity [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Obi-Wan Kenobi/Satine Kryze; Padmé Amidala & Satine Kryze; Padmé Amidala & Obi-Wan Kenobi)
Padmé thinks she's introducing two of her good friends at a Senate gala on Coruscant. Turns out, they already seem to know each other. And they promptly forget she exists once they're in each other's orbit again.
Life Force [AO3]
(Ben Solo/Rey)
The force was not ready for the Skywalker bloodline to end. As Rey stands before the twin sunset of Tatooine, a special visitor stops by that reignites her hope for the future.
like a lily among the thorns [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Obi-Wan Kenobi/Satine Kryze)
Utterly destroyed and ravaged by war, Satine wonders if she'll ever see that glimmer of light that she always hoped to see on Mandalore.
Like Life Itself [AO3]
(Ben Solo/Rey)
Rey senses a new presence in the Force after settling on Tatooine. It's not entirely Ben, and it's not entirely her. Can Ben come back to her? After all, their bond IS a power like life itself.
Mother [AO3]
(Satine Kryze & Anakin Skywalker; Obi-Wan Kenobi & Anakin Skywalker; Obi-Wan Kenobi/Satine Kryze; Padmé Amidala/Anakin Skywalker)
Two times Anakin really needed a mother, and Duchess Satine Kryze went above and beyond to help him.
shadows [AO3]
(Obi-Wan Kenobi/Satine Kryze)
When Satine's plan to acquire proof that Deputy Minister Jerec's testimony was tampered with falls through, she must seek another way to clear her own name and reestablish faith in her Mandalorian government. She may need help from a friend.
The Sound of Mandalore [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Obi-Wan Kenobi/Satine Kryze)
Uncertain what to do with a Jedi Master who is overly attached to his former Padawan, the Jedi Council decides to send Obi-Wan Kenobi to tutor Force-sensitive Mandalorian foundlings on Mandalore in the early days of the Clone Wars. The Sound of Music except Star Wars.
this could be such a dream [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Obi-Wan Kenobi/Satine Kryze)
In the stillness of night during their year on the run, Satine and Obi-Wan dare to imagine a life without the responsibilities they've sworn themselves to.
to live is enough [AO3]
(Obi-Wan Kenobi/Satine Kryze)
When Obi-Wan Kenobi sets out to rescue someone he loves, failure isn't an option. Your typical Lawless Satine lives canon divergence, with a dash of angst.
what they grow beyond [AO3] [Tumblr]
(Obi-Wan Kenobi/Satine Kryze; Satine Kryze & Korkie Kryze)
On a rare day off, Satine reflects on her legacy.
what was once a garden [AO3]
(Obi-Wan Kenobi/Satine Kryze)
Fifteen years after losing Satine to Darth Maul, a time-worn Obi-Wan Kenobi makes a trip to Mandalore to pay his respects.
your future, my fate [AO3]
(Obi-Wan Kenobi & Qui-Gonn Jinn; Obi-Wan Kenobi/Satine Kryze)
While traveling through hyperspace on their first mission as master and apprentice, Qui-Gon Jinn sees visions of his new padawan's future.
-.-.-.-.-
Harry Potter
Family Day at Hogwarts [AO3]
(Harry Potter & Dudley Dursley)
Hogwarts is inviting families to its first ever Family Day at Hogwarts! Against Harry's wishes, the Dursley's are sent an invitation, but only one of them is actually interested in going. A "Dudley visits Hogwarts" story.
In Loving Memory [AO3]
(Harry Potter & Severus Snape)
Harry has never really liked Halloween… for obvious reasons. A certain professor isn't really a fan either. Perhaps some healing is in the cards for both of them, after a trip out to a small village in southwest England.

Characters & Fandoms I write for;
I am willing to write pairing fics of a character x reader, or general scenario fics with reader inserts.
Reader will be male with he/him pronouns as a default, so please specify if you’d like a female or gender neutral reader!
I will write LGBTQ+ and straight readers & pairings, just let me know what kind of thing you want in your request! I will not write smut.
I am Autistic and have ADHD, I will happily write either of these into fics.
I will write mental health issues, I personally suffer from OCD, CPTSD, Depression, and have previously dealt with ED tendencies, so I can write those with relative ease, request other mental health stuff and I’ll give it a go if I can or let you know if I don’t feel able to write it.
Characters not on my list are probably either not there because I don’t feel I know the character well enough to write them or am not comfortable writing them as pairings, but it’s always worth checking just in case I forgot to add someone!

I don't understand how many times I have to tell you I love you, or how many languages I must say it in! ❤️
Nick has told you he loves you, however it’s always in the heat of the moment muttered against your skin, and always in Spanish. He’s an expressive lover, always passionate, dedicated to your pleasure. For him it’s about making you feel good, making sure you know how he feels.
Except you don’t because you’re terrible when it comes to languages, despite how hard you try, it’s information that you just can’t retain. Nick has attempted to teach you often but the only word you can remember is Abuela, he thinks that’s purely contextual because he talks about his own so much.
Maybe it’s a way of protecting himself, he thinks, that he doesn’t say it in English. He lays tangled up with you in bed, your face buried in the crook of his neck, your fingertips toying with the gold necklace that hangs around his throat. He has loved you for the longest time, since the two of you were undercover operatives doing dead drops on the corner of Flatbush, it shouldn’t be this hard to say it.
However, for Nick it is, because eventually the people in his life leave and Nick ends up alone, with an agony in his chest that feels so acute it kills him. It’s the reason he doesn’t do vulnerability, not even with the woman he’s been in love with for over a decade.
He’s distracted by your lips ghosting up the curve of his throat, the heat of your body against his as your hands start to wander. Already he’s stirring again underneath the sheets, he’s only just had you, but he wants you again, he wants you ruined underneath him, the sweet sound of your cries in his ear as you come for him.
He may not be able to tell you how he feels, but he’s damn well going to show you.

Could you do number 55 'would you just shut up and kiss me'? For torres 🥰🥰
Tumblr media
Nick Torres: Shut Up & Kiss Me Prompt NSFW
I have a problem with short stories. I can’t seem to just do a blurb. I want to much plot and backstory. I hope you enjoy anyways! <3
It had been a close call. Too close. You had seen the damage to his bulletproof vest. Then to his ribs. You had frantically come into the hospital when Gibb's had called and told you that your boyfriend was getting checked out after a shootout.
He had been sitting on the bed in just his jeans. From the back, he looked as invincible as always. Strong taut muscles cover by olive skin. It was only when he had turned and you saw the ugly bruising. Dark shades of purple, blue, and black. You eyed the bruise
He looked up at you all bravo, "It's nothing." You looked at him incredulously.
"You were shot!" Your voice's pitch goes higher than you intend.
"In my bulletproof vest. It doesn't even hurt." Your eyes narrow at him. You absolutely hated it when he minimized situations. You don't know what you were thinking when you reach out to press firmly on his fresh bruise. Nick yelps and jerks back. It brings a sense of satisfaction along with an immediate pang of regret.
The two of you had discussed the dangers of his job before. More than once. Some had been more heated than others. You have seen the evidence of how dangerous his job was. Cuts and scraps on his face. Bruises to different parts of his body. Skinned knuckles and black eyes. But in the year that you had been together, he had never been shot. Logically you knew that he had been in firefights before. More than he had told you. More than he could probably keep track of.
"Don't blow smoke up my ass Nicholas Miguel Torres. You could have died." His dark eyes turn innocent as he reaches out to you.
"Cariño, no te enfades. No te voy a dejar mi niña hermosa. Lo siento mi amor perdóname (Sweetheart, don't get upset. I'm not going to leave you, my beautiful girl. I'm sorry my love forgive me)"
You roll your eyes at his sweet words while he starts rubbing at your shoulders and back. He knew that his Spanish sweet talk was your weakness. It wasn't just your weakness though, nobody could resist Nick Torres's charm. Much to your dismay when it was to beautiful women.
He continues as his hands wander down your back and waist to the back of your thighs. "Simplemente no quería que te preocuparas. Prometo tener más cuidado. Cruza mi corazón. (I just didn't want you to worry. I promise to be more careful. Cross my heart.)
"Nick, would you just shut up and kiss me."
His lips find yours. They are warm, full, and demanding. You can feel the life and energy pulsing through him. He nibbles your bottom lip and your hands start tracing down his chest. Your hands accidentally find his bruise again. "Aiy!"
"Sorry, sorry baby." You mumble against his lips as you break kisses between words. He waves off your concern again. He grabs around your thighs and picks you up, wrapping your legs around his waist. He turns setting you on the hospital bed.
"Let me make it up to you." He drops down to his knees in front of you. "siéntate quieto para mí. (sit still for me)" He slides his hands up your sundress wrapping his fingers around your hips. He yanks you forward so your lace-covered pussy presses tightly against his face. His mouth open and hot on your cunt. You gasp as your hand shoots to the back of his head, gripping his short hair.
His fingers delve under your panties and pull them to the side. He licks your cunt making your leg jerk. You move your legs further over his shoulders, urging him on.
He pushes you to climax quickly and purposefully. His fingers join his mouth in pursuit of your pleasure. Your thighs tighten around his face. After the white-hot pleasure passes you look down to make eye contact with your boyfriend. He has a mischievous smile on his face along with your juices. "Am I forgiven?"

That Peach Dress
Tumblr media
alden parker x reader
Finally, girls night. (Y/N) had been looking forward to girls night with Jessica and Kasie for the last week. She even went shopping for a new dress, just for the occasion. She tried 3 different stores before she found the dress she wanted. When she first saw it in the display window, she made a beeline for the rack where the dresses were, and found the last one in her size. She immediately tried it on, and felt like a supermodel. The dress was much shorter than she was used to wearing, but she knew she looked hot. She cringed a little when she looked at the price tag, but she did just get paid extra for overtime and hazard pay. So if this is how she wants to spend her money, then on an expensive dress it shall be.
Last weekend they were supposed to go out, but Kasie canceled last minute, and halfway through, Jessica got food poisoning. (Y/N) stayed with Jessica to make sure she was okay, and Jessica felt so bad for ruining the night. (Y/N) was a smidge disappointed in the direction the night went, but (Y/N) ultimately wanted to make sure her friend was okay. So this girls night, everyone was ready and excited. (Y/N) had styled her hair into a high ponytail and curled the bottom section of her hair. She kept her makeup relatively simple, with a winged liner, some bronzer, and a nude lip. The finishing touches to her look was a diamond choker Kasie had given her as a gift, and silver heels.
Jessica had texted her saying her and Kasie were on their way. She couldn’t wait for the night to begin. But unfortunately, crime never stops, not even on a girls night. ‘Ding dong!’ (Y/N)’s doorbell sounded off, and thinking it was the girls, she said, “Damn bitch, you got here fast!” But when she opened the door, it was not the girls, it was Alden Parker. Her boss, and the man she had been in love with since he took over from Gibbs as team lead. (Y/N) instantly froze, and so did Parker. Never in a million years did he think he would see her dressed in something so provocative, yet there she was standing at her door, with eyes as wide as can be. “What’s up?” (Y/N) barely managed to squeak out. “We got a case. I thought I’d save some time and pick you up on the way there.” Parker replied, trying not to make it obvious that he really liked the outfit she was wearing.
“Sounds good, um, let me just change and I’ll be back in a minute.” (Y/N) said, swiftly making her way back to her bedroom to change, and trying to avoid eye contact with Parker. While she changed clothes into something a little more work-appropriate, she also texted Kasie and Jessica to let them know girls night was canceled. When she emerged from her bedroom, she could barely make eye contact with Parker. Needless to say, the drive to the crime scene was quiet, as well as the banter between the two, which was not the norm. The first thing that Torres said when he saw (Y/N) was, “Damn, (Y/N), you look hot!” “Thanks, Nick.” (Y/N) replied, trying to pretend like the last 35 minutes didn’t happen. What (Y/N) failed to notice when she was walking to ask Jimmy what he had found, was the jealous look in Parker’s eyes when Torres had commented on (Y/N)’s outfit.
The outfit (Y/N) had changed into was a pair of black jeans, black boots, and a black denim jacket. She made the dress into a shirt by tucking the extremely short hem into her jeans. Kasie and Jessica had said something along the lines of, “Damn, look at you, (Y/N)! You look hot!” mirroring what Torres had said earlier that night. Parker couldn’t stop staring at (Y/N), no matter how hard he tried. He kept thinking about the way she looked in that peach dress. How tight and figure-hugging it was. How the cowl neck made her cleavage look even more inviting than normal. How the hem of the dress made her legs look a mile long. God, he couldn’t stop thinking about her legs. How smooth and silky they looked.
He was able to keep it together for the rest of the night (somehow), and by morning, (Y/N) was able to make eye contact with him again. (Y/N) decided at one point to go up to him and explain why she was dressed like that. “Sorry you had to see me like that, Parker. It was supposed to be girls night, but then you came to the door, and everything happened.” “No! Um, it’s okay. I gathered that’s why you had on that dress, and you don’t have to explain anything to me.” Parker replied, still blushing at the thought of how damn fine she looked in the dress. “Thanks Parker, I appreciate it.” (Y/N) said. “Alden, call me Alden.”

NICK GOODE (1994) X FEM! READER
MASTERLIST : HERE
AUTH NOTE: aahhhdgfgy first fic!! based on the song goosebumps by Travis Scott 😍😍😍😍 (update, it’s been like 5 months since i started writing this.. i’m so sorry 😭😭🫶🫶)
"hello?" you ask, twirling the landline phone cord between your index and middle finger. "shit, sorry hun.." you notice the voice instantly, its your husband Nick. "sorry forr..?" you trail off, now curious. "um.. ill be home late again." his voice is low and laced with slight malice. "oh." is all you manage to say. you turn to look back in the dining room. your children are sitting happily at the table, eating spaghetti bowls.
"are you upset?" he questions, slightly nervous. "no! its fine.. ill put your food in the fridge then.." you mumble into the speaker. he sighs before speaking again. "listen, i gotta go but ill be back when you wake up. promise." he tries to sound as cheery as possible, but you can see right through the act. "okay, bye! i love you." you murmur with a small smile as the line clicks.
something is up, you can tell. you set the phone down before heading into the dining room and picking up your husbands plate. your daughter looks up at you, her curly pigtails bouncing as she swings her legs off the chair. “mommy… where’s daddy..?” she asks, her voice laced with worry. “baby, he’s fine.. he’s just caught up with work again.” you manage a smile. she nods before going back to eating.
about 4 hours later, you hear the door open and the familiar leather shoe footsteps. your husband in all his glory walks into the living room. “well hi there..” Nick says with a small grin. he walks over to you, sitting beside you on the sofa. “how was work..?” you ask, resting your head on his shoulder. he shrugs, “boring, as per usual.” the way he says it makes you giggle. “you’re sweaty, my love.” you kiss his cheek, making him smile again.
“ouch.” he jokes, standing up again. “i’ll go have a shower then.” you nod and watch as he turns around. “and by the way, could you find me that book.. um.. the one about criminology!” he recalls, to which you respond with a small “yup!” before you too, stand up.
you hear him walk up the stairs as you reach the bookshelf. as you look around, you spot a small knob out of the corner of your eye. you try to ignore it, thinking your vision is just playing tricks on you again. that is, until a passing train nearby causes the knob to rattle. you quirk your eyebrow, setting the newly found book down on the coffee table before inspecting the round knob closer.
as you get a better look, you realise that it belongs to a trapdoor that you happen to have never noticed. ‘strange..’ you think to yourself before turning it slowly. you’d think it’d be locked, considering you’ve never noticed it in your 8 years of living in your house. but it isn’t. the door slowly creaks open and the light from inside the living room shines into the small space.
upon further inspection, you spot a few candles, all of which definitely had been lit within the last few hours considering the faint smell of candle smoke. but also another thing worth noting, the two large stones with writing etched into them. one’s been fully covered, the second having almost just been started. you can only read the last 3 lines of the second stone.
RUBY LANE
THOMAS SLATER
RYAN TORRES
you make a face, weird that the last three shady side killer names are etched into.. wait.
what..?
