Day 7 🎄
"Scavenger hunt?!"
* enjoy christmas tree tsukasa on the background ╮(︶▽︶)╭
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"R-Rui?!" said male's grin wides open, his eyebrows taking in the shorter male's shocked look. "W..What are you doing, here?!"
"Yah, Tsukasa-kun." His lively tone was awfully irritating. "I'm doing what i'm doing. it looks pretty obvious as it is."
..This wasn't the plan. no, no and no. Tsukasa had imagined this scenario unfold in the back of his mind like a falling domino! it was supposed to be perfect. the lighting, the decorations, the hints, and most of all, the two of you. not, Rui. how did he even find out about this..?!
"I already told you!! didn't I? we both agreed to not get in each other's way!" Tsukasa's despairing voice ringed through the once quiet gardens, the taller male in front of him taking in his words with consideration.
"And we did." Rui places his hand under his chin, "But this necessarily has nothing to do with it, no?"
..Yes. yes! it has to do with everything!
"No!! that's, ..not! (_) was supposed to meet me here, not you!!"
It was a very complicated matter.
You see, falling for the same person was difficult enough as it is, especially since Tsukasa and Rui aren't particularly enemies. they didn't despise each other, but.. fighting for your attention was something they do when they first see you. (trying to walk beside you as much as they can, asking to carry your bag.. etc..)
After months, and months, of trying to get the courage to tell you how he felt, Tsukasa continued to bump shoulders with the smart inventer, his actions becoming more and more appealing than his. every single time, he tried, and by coincidence, those planned confessions were always interrupted by Rui.
"Not this time!" The blonde's overwhelming determenation swelled up from his chest, his shoulders growing mightier. "I'll defenitely tell (_) how I-!"
"..Hah?" your raised brow, slightly confused vocals catches their attention, "Wait, why's he here?" you point a somewhat accusing index finger towards Rui, the male chuckling at your inquiry.
"I suppose you didn't read my invitation?" You gave him another perplexed look, opening your bag to see a small little envelope, the textures shaded light purple. your expression softens, a bit embarrassed you didn't notice.
"..Right." you coughed on purpose, changing the subject. "Anyways, what's, all this?" your attentiveness moves onto the festive christmas decorations, the lights glowing bright yellow, while the other half purple. "I heard about you arranging a scavenger hunt, but.. where's all the people? ..don't tell me it's just the three of us."
"Precisely!" The male boisterously exclaims, his arms resting on his waists proudly. "Wait, three..? no!"
"He means yes, by the way." Rui adds, making the shorter male gawk at him like he kicked his sister's stomach.
"What. is. the. meaning. of. this??!" you peer at them with deadpan, as the two of them huddle up in a small corner, far enough for you not to listen in on their conversation.
"Think about this logically, Tsukasa-kun." The taller male's grip falls onto the back of Tsukasa's neck, "It's the perfect chance to confess, y'know?"
"I know! it is. but, I can't have you-"
"It's partially the same, don't you think? even if we tell them how we feel, it's pretty much up to them, who decides." the blonde's facials soften, thinking about the significance. it was true, and.. yeah, he was right. even if he and Rui try to sabotage each other, with your unbreakable; somewhat delinquent-like persona, who knows how you truly feel for them, him. maybe you just hung out with them because you were bored.. or because they kept on persuading you with force..
No. Tsukasa remarks inside his mind. you may be the that type of person.. but you're not. you don't spend time with people who don't mean anything to you. and.. after spending so much time with you from the start, it was something he noticed, he felt. and that's why..
"So, how about it?" Rui's gaze was filled with forbearance, as if he is already aware of Tsukasa's answer.
The shorter male raises his peer, nodding with agreement. "I accept, then. ..what's the plan?"
┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
you dispassionately look down at the little sticky note the two males give you, feeling like a little kid who was enforced to join something you didn't want to in the first place.
Something that shines.
Something the world needs.
Cool, Handsome, Responsible ☆
you compare the other note, seeming just as complicated.
deco plant banana tree
hates vegtables
purple
"So.. if I find.. whatever these are, I get a prize?" Rui and Tsukasa's proud smiles made you a bit hesitant. something that shines? it could be the fairy lights, or the star on top of the christmas tree.. but that'd be too obvious, right? and what the hell's a deco plant banana tree? the tall ones?
"Of course!" The yellow-orange eyed male exclaims. "Feel free to check every corner."
you gave him a hassled look. the garden was pretty wide, and there were a lot of bushes. and the decorations were kind of in the way. and knowing the pair, their way of thinking of things such as hints or clues are a bit.. untrusting.
You turn to Rui, who only smiled down at you. seems like he wasn't willing to spoil anything.
You sigh, "This better be worth my time.."
You think of the clues carefully as you try to search through the gardens, aware of the two male's eager and curious glances. thinking of Tsukasa's note, the shiny and the world 'needs' part was still conceivable.. but cool? handsome? it just breaks the whole image. if anything, maybe an animal? no, that's not it.
and Rui's.. after looking all over the place, there was clearly no tall plants around. and hates vegtables.. purple..?
"Wait a second.." you mutter, slowly turning from behind you until you were suddenly attacked from both forward and backwards. "Wha-?!"
"Merry Christmas, (_)!" Their voices ring through your ears, Tsukasa's crimson face a few meters away from yours. you felt long arms embrace you from behind, feeling something soft stroke the top of your head.
"What.. the hell..?"
"It took you quite a while.. I purposely made them very easy.." Rui murmurs, his grip getting tighter.
"Too easy. b-but.. you know what they are, right?" Tsukasa asks, averting his gaze as he holds your palms.
"You two.. are the prizes.."
They both giggle lightly, melting at your hesitant state.
"So, does this mean you.." the pair looks at each other, nodding.
"It's a love confession, basically."

x MARVEL CROSSOVER x
Marinette knew that Tom Dupain wasn't her biological father. Nonetheless, she loved him and he loved her. He married her mother when she was two and have been inseparable ever since.
On the other side, her biological father was a prick.
He first came to visit her after she developed a ... rather interesting set of abilities. She was five when that happened. Her mother had somehow contacted him and, even though he doubted it, he came.
It is safe to say that he was beyond shocked when he saw that Marinette was his spitting image, not counting the blue eyes. She had a mischievous smile and sharp eyes, carrying herself like royalty, worthy of the title of the daughter of the god of mischief.
That day, Loki found out he had a demigoddess daughter.
While he was reluctant at first, the little girl grew on him. He visited at least twice a month, mainly to help her control her powers but also to let her know that he actually cared about her, to ensure that he wasn't with her like his father was with him. No other Asgardian knew about Marinette and he would like to keep it that way. There was no need for his brother of father to swoop in and ruin everything.
As the years passed their bond became unbreakable. Marinette still thought that Loki was a prick and an idiot at times but she wouldn't have it any other way. Life was boring anyway, why not sprinkle it with a little bit of mischief?
When she became Ladybug, he knew. He called out Tikki as soon as he stepped in her room and her parents were out of hearing range.
"Tikki, you can come out. You should know better by now."
Marinette was dumbfounded when the goddess came out from behind some books, with a pout and with her arms crossed.
"I knew it. Trixx did say that you came to Midgard and Marinette looks like a miniature female version of yourself."
"I'm actually surprised the guardian gave her the Ladybug miraculous. I would've guessed she would have been a better fox."
"She is a very good match for me too. Her soul is a creative one, but yes, she would be a perfect fox."
"Um... Can I get in the loop too?"
The two gods turned to her. Marinette had her arms crossed, tapping her foot on the floor. Loki gave her a sheepish smile.
"I am a God, Marigold, I do know the other gods too."
The day passed talking with the two deities about all sorts of things, Tikki especially scolding him for the New York disaster, Marinette joining her. It happened before she was born so even if he changed it was still a horrible thing
"Look, daddy issues are a pain to deal with. I was very angry."
"Dad, it's no excuse to be an asshole."
"I know." Loki rolled his eyes then grinned. "But what's this I'm hearing about from Tikki about a boy?"
Marinette flushed, glaring at the offender, now munching on a cookie, her eyes sparkling with laughter. She was shaking her head and vigorously gesturing with her hands.
"Nope. I'm not talking with you about this and, Odin forbid, if I see you around him I'll cut your macaron supply."
Loki only raised his hands in surrender, laughing heartedly. He wouldn't dare cross his daughter, so he swore, between tears of laughter, that he would keep his distance.
"But if he breaks your heart I'll throw him in Jotunheim."
                                                         ...
A few years later, when Lila came around he knew. There was no mistaking the dimming of the fire in her soul. He could see that she didn't want to talk about it by the way she was dodging the subject so he had to take the matter in his own hands.
He shapeshifted into a horsefly and flew after her when she went to school. It took a lot of his power to hide from Marinette's sight but if was worth it. Now he knew why she started closing in on herself.
Loki could admire a good lie. After all he was the god of trickery, lies and deceit. But this girl spouting off the worst lies he ever heard. Not only were they ridiculous, they were also completely devoid of any drop of truth. That was the base of any good lie, and she was lacking it entirely. What confused him more what that some of her classmates believed her. Only a handful others didn't seem to believe her, one of which was a blond boy that looked at the leech, glued to his hand, with disgust. By his aura Loki assumed he was the holder of the Black Cat.
He confronted Marinette when she came back from school. Some of the lies were concerning, they were hurting his daughter and he couldn't let it fly. He assumed the harpy was set on Marinette because she wouldn't buy her lies. That was not surprising, she could see even though his best lies.
"I know, Marigold."
Marinette knew what he meant. She inhaled deeply and looked around.
"Can we go somewhere else, outside of Paris?"
The furrowed his brows, getting more concerned by the second. He couldn't read her in that moment. He could read most people like an open book, but that was his daughter. She knew how to hide things from him.
"Yes. Tell your parents, we don't want to concern them."
After she told her parents that she would go with Loki on a short trip, he opened a portal to a high rooftop over a city. She could feel the darkness of it, potent and corrupting. She figured that was why her father would bring her there, no one would notice them. As soon as the portal closed, she broke down. She hugged him, crying into his chest.
"I'm so tired, dad. The responsibility of Ladybug, Lila and her lies, half of my class turned against me, Hawkmoth just sending out akuma after akuma, it's just so much."
He let her cry, hugging her closely and patting her head. Even after all these years he didn't know how to properly comfort his daughter but it was something he actively was working for.
"But I assume you still don't want me to help?"
"The Avengers or The Justice League would notice if you do something. I managed to keep them away, for the time being, but I doubt they would hesitate coming if they heard that you came into a highschool, knives flying after a teenage girl or if you burnt down half of Paris searching for Hawkmoth."
She sighed, sitting on the edge of roof.
"I can handle it, I think. It's hard but I can manage it. I have Chat Noir and the others, we will succeed."
"You know that I will always be by your side if you need me, right?"
"Of course, dad." She hugged him once more, not letting go for some time.
When she calmed down, she asked him to get them to Paris.
"Dad, where was that? I've never felt a more malicious feeling to a place in my entire life."
"Gotham City. That place holds a centuries long curse."
Marinette nodded then hugged her father one more time before he left. She then went on her balcony, sketchbook and laptop in her hands. The afternoon sun was providing perfect lighting for sketching. She set aside the sketchbook for the moment, opening the laptop. She heard about Gotham from Alya when she was gushing about the vigilantes. She wasn't especially interested about them so she listened politely but forgot everything the next day.
Gotham was dubbed the Crime Capital, which was not surprising. The maliciousness surrounding the city was overwhelming, even if she was there for only a few minutes short of an hour. She could only imagine what that could do to the locals. A meeting with Fu after her patrol that night was mandatory.
Apparently he knew about the situation in Gotham. An old friend kept him updated. He confessed that he wanted to talk with her about it but decided to tell her when she was prepared. Fighting that kind of corruption would be hard and it would take years. They decided to put a pin in it and deal with it after they defeated Hawkmoth. Marinette did NOT need this on her plate now.
                                                          ...
Things got a little complicated when Wonder Woman decided to drop by. It was night, just a few hours after an akuma attack. Ladybug had to patrol on her own, Chat Noir was held back in his civilian life. She caught Ladybug on the Eiffel Tower, just when she was finishing her round.
"Ladybug."
"Wonder Woman. I wasn't aware that you would be coming by."
"I apologize, but this is important. Your presence is required at a summit between The Avengers and The Justice League. Some discussions will be about the situation in Paris and as the city is in your jurisdiction, you are invited to attend."
Marinette felt like she didn't tell the whole truth but agreed, under the condition to bring Chat Noir too. They were a team.
Loki wanted to come along but Marinette shot the idea down quickly. The was a chance that Thor would notice and everything would go south very quickly. She didn't need an international incident on her hands. The others didn't trust Loki but they were civil with each other after the brothers made amends and he helped them a couple of times. Still, she didn't think they would appreciate Marinette bringing an unauthorized guest.
                                                           ...
A few weeks later they were in a secret base in the Alps. After she got the coordinates of the location she used the horse miraculous to get there. They were fairly early, only a few members of both teams being present. Batman with his team, Thor, Wonder Woman, Black Widow, Winter Soldier and Green Arrow.
Batman was the first one to greet her, soon after she closed the portal.
"Tikki, Kaalki, divide."
The horse kwami landed in her hand, where a sugar cube was waiting for her. She then nestled on top of her head. She slid the glasses there too, for easy access, just in case.
"Ladybug, glad you could come." Batman greeted her cordially. She shook his outstretched hand.
"Of course. After all, I was said this was concerning us."
Before Batman could say anything, a man dressed in black, with a blue bird symbol on his chest jumped in front of her, grinning like a child.
"I can't believe it, you are a real magical girl!"
Ladybug took a step back, blinking, a little shocked by the grown man's reaction.
"Tt. Nightwing, be professional."
"Yeah Wingman, you're going to scare the little Pixie."
"Ignore them, they are idiots." Said one of them, coming beside her. She identified him as Red Robin, one of Batman's... Associates? It felt wrong to call him a sidekick. That would be Robin.
"Red Robin. The idiots there are Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin."
"Pleasure meeting you." She smiled to them warmly. Robin narrowed his eyes, looking at her head.
"What is that?" He asked, taking a step closer to take a better look. Kaalki flew in his face, indignated.
"I'm a goddess, you oaf." Robin took a step back, hands on his katana, shocked by the little goddesses reaction. She narrowed her eyes, suddenly tamer. "Are you famous?" Robin was sputtering, clearly not prepared for the change in her demeanor.
Red Hood burst out laughing.
"Fucking hell, his face. I've never been more grateful for the camera in my helmet."
"Kwami don't show up on camera, but his face definitely will." Chat Noir pointed out. He went beside Ladybug, up until then scanning the compound. "I'm Chat Noir, the fabulous purr-tner of Ladybug, at your service." He made a mock bow, grinning like the Cheshire Cat. Ladybug, Red Robin, Red Hood and Robin groaned.
"Not ANOTHER ONE!"
"Tt. I can't handle two of them. I'll inevitably going to break the no killing rule."
"Um, what's going on?" Ladybug turned to Red Robin, who was grimacing.
"Nightwing." He said, giving her a pitying look.
"Oh, come on, it can't be that claw-ful." Retorted Nightwing. Chat Noir lit up like a Christmas tree.
"My lady, see. I was sure I was feline a fellow paw-nner nearby."
"Kill me." Ladybug and Red Robin said at the same time. They looked at each other and laughed.
As more heroes were arriving, Ladybug introduced herself to each of them. She tensed a bit when Thor came beaming at her.
"Ah! I haven't seen the miraculous for centuries! I am not really that familiar with the Chinese Miracle Box but I did encounter a wielder of Trixx."
She smiled tightly listening to his encounter with Fylja. She knows from her father about her, a trickster just like him, who managed to seduce Thor and steal Mjolnir and hide it. Thor decided to omit that detail. He liked the young hero but something seemed oddly familiar about her.
When Aquaman came, he looked very uncomfortable with his proximity to Chat Noir. He was cordial but kept his distance after finishing introductions. Chat Noir did tell her once that Plagg said that he was the one who sank Atlantis. It was a real story, apparently.
Ladybug preferred the company of Red Robin. They had a lot of things in common, from mutual interests to similar experiences as heroes. He asked a lot of questions without being invasive or trying to find out things about her civilian life and actually seemed interested about her answers. She actually blushed when Nightwing called them cute. She could see with the corner of her eyes how Chat Noir was wiggling his eyebrows but swooped up the other boys when they started teasing them.
"Everyone is here. Only the official members of the Justice League and the Avengers are allowed, as well as Ladybug and Chat Noir. The rest will stay here." Wonder Woman announced, leaving the rest of the young heroes pouting and protesting.
Ladybug turned to Red Robin and gave him a wave.
"See you after."
"Definitely." He grinned, making her blush.
Chat Noir came beside her, smiling knowingly.
"At least you're not a stuttering mess this time."
"Shut up you alley cat, that was four years ago."
"So you do like him." He smiled even wider. Ladybug blushed furiously, punching him in the ribs. He only giggled.
"Nightwing and Red Hood owe me 50 dollars."
"You're unbelievable."
All the heroes were seated at a circular table, everyone having an assigned seat. Even Ladybug and Chat Noir, their symbols gleaming brand new on the backs of the black chairs.
"The summit begins. We are now gathered here to discuss the Paris situation." Superman began, opening a slide on the projector.
Ladybug narrowed her eyes. It became obvious that they called the summit just for this. They were trying to take control. She clenched her fists, but didn't say anything. She hoped this wasn't what it looked like. She put her hand on Chat Noir's shoulder when he looked like he wanted to say something. She squeezed twice. ' I got this.'
"Ladybug, Chat Noir, it's been four and a half years since Hawkmoth has been active and so far we haven't seen much progress. The akumas seem to become more powerful and aggressive and the damage to Paris greater each time. We think you might be over your heads."
"What we are trying to say," Batman stood up, glaring at Superman for his lack of tact, "is that the situation is becoming increasingly difficult and we feel the need to intervene. We know that you are young, let us help you."
"You are kids, we can tell. We thought that because of the nature of the miraculous you will be able to neutralize the threat in due time, seeing as it's the same type of magic." Added Captain America.
"We trusted that you could handle it, as you said, but some of us already have doubts." Iron Man said, crossing his arms.
"Your miraculous might not be enough this time. But that's ok. We want this to end as much as you do." Professor Banner added, looking at them like he was explaining to children why they couldn't cross the street when the traffic light was red.
Most of the heroes didn't notice the way the two young heroes narrowed their eyes, faces darkening, but some, mostly those who knew the power of the miraculous, did. Aquaman was uneasy, a sense of foreboding dawning over him, Wonder Woman looked like she didn't know what her peers were going to say. She stood still, but tense, like preparing for an attack. She knew they were somewhat right, but that wasn't the way to help them. Green Lantern was leaning in his seat like he wanted it to eat him. Thor looked around the table, damning every one of them present. They were going to get them killed. Black Widow was glaring at Banner, knowing what his words did to the Parisians by their increasing straining to say nothing and stay in place. Batman was following them carefully. Something about the two of them screamed danger.
Then Superman dropped the bomb.
"So, effective immediately, we take jurisdiction of the city of..."
He was cut off by a sudden boom reverberating through the room. All heroes jumped in a battle stance. When there was no threat in sight, they looked at Ladybug, who had made a dent in the table with her fist. Her eyes were entirely blue. But it was not her usual color, it was an icy blue, that could freeze the fires of hell. Thor held his breath. They looked exactly like frost giant eyes. And familiar ones.
"How. Dare. You."
She didn't yell but the heroes could feel the ice in their veins.
"For four years we've been tirelessly fighting an emotional prying bastard, while controlling our own to the point where it seems that we have none, handling our civilian lives at the same time, trying to minimize the destruction of Paris even though we new the cure with bring everything back to normal, tending to our citizens after they've been akumatized, ensuring they would get therapy and support, even stopping minor crimes around the city and you have the balls to say that we are in over our heads?! We may be but we are handling it way better than any of you do! You are not one to speak, Superman. Metropolis gets trashed every other week with you're messy fights, and there is no cure. You obviously have no regard of the destruction or the victims most of the time. The rest of you are mostly the same. But there is no one getting in your way saying that you're doing a horrible job and trying to replace you. And if there is, gods forbid, you just send them to prison or in a mental asylum. You have NO right to criticize our ways when yours are statistically worse!"
Both the Justice League and the Avengers were silent and wide eyed. Thor was the first to recover. Her eyes went back to normal after she finished but there was no mistake. The girl wasn't human.
"Who are you?" He pointed his hammer at Ladybug. She rolled her eyes.
"Put that down, you're not intimidating anyone."
"Those were frost giant eyes. Answer me or perish."
"Dad would not appreciate the perish part, you know."
The Avengers and the Leaguers were now exchanging confused looks. What were they supposed to do? What was that about? After exchanging glances, they remained silent, watching the exchange curiously.
"What are you talking about?" Thor retorted, now gripping Mjolnir tighter.
"I guess this is as a bad time as any but... Hello uncle."
It wasn't ideal but she couldn't have both the Justice League and the Avengers trying to arrest her. She took the yo-yo from her hip and slid it open. She scrolled through her contacts and tapped the one named 'The God of Bullshit'. After a few beeps, during which the heroes were recovering from their stupor, Loki's face appeared on the screen.
"Daughter dearest. What's the matter, are the others bothering you?" He said in a sarcastic sweet voice. She rolled her eyes then pointed the screen towards Thor.
"L'Oréal blond knows."
After a few seconds Loki starts laughing like a maniac.
"This is the best way they could've found out. This is PERFECT."
Thor walks in wide strides to an unimpressed Ladybug and takes the yo-yo from her hand.
"I have a niece and you didn't TELL ME!"
"Of course not. You pieces of shit are not worthy of the presence of my daughter. I don't know why she even agreed to come to the meeting. She is doing a wonderful job in Paris and does not need any interference. Beware, brother, if you upset her I'll come for your heads. I have to go now, see you soon, daughter."
Ladybug closed her yo-yo and looked around the room.
"I don't care what you decided. Paris is my city. You don't come barging just because you think you can do a better job. And yes, I'm the daughter of Loki but that doesn't mean that I have bad intentions. I'm a hero as much as you are. Now, have I made myself clear?"
"Yes, Ladybug." Wonder Woman was the first to respond. Even if she was a daughter of Loki, the young hero earned her respect. She stood her ground against them and made her point crystal clear.
The rest of the heroes agree, though some reluctantly.
"Now, I agreed to come here mainly because I wanted to say that I have a strong lead. Hawkmoth may soon fall."
After some other arguments with some of the reluctant heroes and a few protests that were quickly shot down by Ladybug and her supporters, the heroes dispersed. She and Chat Noir were between the last ones to leave, having a shushed conversation while the others left.
"We will discuss it back in Paris. But yes, it's true."
"So you're a half goddess?"
"Demigoddess, but yes."
"That is awesome."
When they entered the hall, they saw it was almost empty. She was disappointed that maybe Red Robin left until he was in front of her. He gripped her shoulders and looked in her eyes.
"I think I'm in love with you. That was the greatest hero smack down in history."
She was a blushing mess by the time the other boys and Batman came around. They were all snickering, even Batman and Robin.
"How did you..."
"Father turned his com on when he saw that you looked like you were ready to kill someone."
"B, you are not allowed to adopt her under any circumstances, do you understand me? We do not need another sister."
"Yeah Bats, don't ruin your only chance at grandkids."
Now Red Robin was blushing too.
"So... You don't care about the Loki thing?"
"We noticed that he toned down a few years ago. We didn't know why. Now it makes sense."
"Yeah, trust me, you're not the only one with a villainous parent 'round here." Red Rood pointed, putting his elbow on Robin's shoulder. The latter looked like he wanted to rip it off.
"And you are clearly taking your job seriously. Even father respects your efforts."
"I didn't intend to make you feel like you are not good enough. We wanted to help you, but it got out of hand. I apologize."
"Apology accepted. I understand where you're coming from, but trust me. This is coming to an end. Soon."
When the Bats were going to the zeta tubes and Ladybug was merging the horse miraculous with her own, Red Robin stayed behind. He handed her a phone.
"It's a non traceable phone. Of you ever want to talk, my number is programmed in there. I really enjoyed our conversation"
She took the phone, smiling brightly.
"I did too. Thank you."
She pulled him into a hug. He hugged her back, kissing her on the cheek then running to the zeta tubes. Her cheeks were as red as her suit. She touched the place where he kissed her, smiling like an idiot.
"Aww, I'm going to die of fluff. I ship it."
"Shut up." She grumbled but still smiling.
                                                           ...
A few months later Hawkmoth’s reign of terror came to an end. It was messy and heartbreaking but they were finally free. Adrien was exonerated by both the Justice League and the Avengers when accusations started to appear in the media. Not wanting to live with the Graham de Vanily’s, Adrien was taken in by Selina Kyle a.k.a Catwoman. It was quite fitting.
They have revealed their identities during the battle when they had to recharge and barely found one place to detransform. When they had the Butterfly and Peacock miraculous secured and Gabriel and Nathalie in police custody, they swung to the Eiffel Tower and collapsed there on each other, crying their hearts out for the first time in five years. Loki got there at some point but he kept his distance, understanding that it was their time. That was how they were found by the Justice League and the Avengers. Huddled together on the railing, not talking, with Loki next to them, smiling serenely. Thor almost had a heart attack. When she noticed that Red Robin came too, she ran to him and kissed him like the world almost ended, which almost actually did.
Fu passed guardianship to Marinette not long after, deeming her ready.
After everything was solved in Paris and the trials of Gabriel, Nathalie and Lila, for her aiding Hawkmoth, were done, Marinette began her first mission as Guardian. Cleanse Gotham.
Soon, a new vigilante, with a black fox theme, swung through Gotham with the Bats and Tim Drake appeared in public with his new girlfriend, Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
When I first saw what the prompt for today was I had no idea what to write. I didn’t want to do the class trip to New York so I took my favorite character, Loki obviously, and brainstormed. This came out. I don’t know if this has been done before but I love biodad!Loki.
So this is approximately 4326 words (I added and edited things on here so I don't know for sure) which is a new record. I did enjoy writing this. Maybe I will do something biodad!Loki again in the future, it's fun to write.
And as a sidenote, Marinette can lift Mjolnir.

Note
since I love your headcanons/meta (if you're up to it) can I have your thoughts on the guard + fashion
andy
Andy probably has a pretty complicated relationship with fashion, like i think she does with most things in the modern world given the fact that it’s only a tiny spec of her lifetime
She’s spent her life watching thousands upon thousands of fashion trends come and go and was alive during the creation of many fabrics themselves
She’s been a warrior her entire life, we may not know the manner of her first death (or at least not from the movies) but we know she’s spent most of her life as an immortal fighting, both before and after she met quynh
Fashion for her was always at the very least comfortable and flexible, something she could travel and fight in without a moment’s notice
But to some extent how she looks, her image is a very important aspect of her, especially in the earlier part of her life
She was a famed fighter for so long, earning her name “fighter of man”, there were probably stories told of her and quynh, warrior women who no one can defeat, her clothing at that time at least semi reflected that, she wanted to be seen as “unbreakable” as she says in the movie
She had probably minimal armor, after all she doesn’t need it technically and would only prefer it to have less healing time if she took on less damage, but her clothing showed exactly who she was, every bit the warrior
As practical as she is, who she appears to be is still probably very much still tied to her identity, she may not be known anymore and doesn’t even want to be for the sake of their safety but her clothes are not just strictly practical, rather than be the warrior of myth she has now become a warrior of the modern age, a warrior of the shadows
Her clothes still reflect her younger self, the famed warrior, just scaled back and modernized. She wears calf-high boots, arm braces and fitted clothing in all black  she cuts quite and imposing figure and that’s what i think she wants. She doesn’t necessarily use it to intimidate others, as her younger self may have done, this time her clothing is now to make her still feel powerful, a reflection of who she is now: skilled and deadly, ready at a moments notice to protect those she loves
While jeans and a tank top is a perfectly normal outfit, with the boots and braces you’d do a double take, wondering who she was, but it’s meant to blend in just enough but if you look closely enough at how tight the boots are laced and her posture, tank top carefully tucked in you’d start to wonder
I think she does actually like fashion, she’s seen so much of it and she probably sees things that remind her of something she saw hundreds of years ago, like seeing trends pop up again and it fills her with nostalgia. It reminds her of when she was in love with humanity, loved seeing what people created and invented and when she truly believed in their cause
But things definitely changed after quynh was thrown in the ocean, just had a less of desire and the clothes probably reminded her of quynh, what’d she’d wear and what she’d get for andy to wear and as modern times came around she stuck to stuff that was more practical, still a little fashionable, but stuff that could be worn doing anything from sleeping to fighting
I think her clothing in the movie, mostly black, reflects who she is as this time: a powerful and strong warrior who’s also afraid, she’s afraid that she spent her life fighting for something that doesn’t matter but also (pre-nile) afraid of what she’s going to do now that she said the world could burn - what does a 6,000+ immortal warrior do then?
booker
Booker is not unfashionable, and while his relatively apathetic and cynical nature might make you think fashion isn’t something he would care about, i think he does
He isn’t like joe who would go the extra step to make an outfit more aesthetically pleasing, but also he isn’t as super practical as nicky (he keeps his gun in his pants for fuck’s sake)
Booker is tired and wants to feel normal, to feel his humanity that he feels is slipping away from him even though it’s already been 200 years - he’s still adjusting and that’s because he never wanted this and still doesn’t completely accept this is his life now (hence at least a partial reason for his betrayal)
But i don’t booker is one to make too much of a fuss about what he’s wearing, he wants simple clothing that won’t make him look out of place, especially since he was the one who met with copley for that previous mission maybe he is the one who scouts missions as their seemingly resident computer person
So he goes for what a lot of people do: classic pieces of clothing in selection of relatively neutral colors that all work together. In their life it’s important to have clothes at the ready, both in their bags and at their safehouses and i’d bet at least most of his stuff would work together with no issues
Aside from the tac outfit of course, he mainly wears an assortment of jeans, boots, button downs and leather jackets in mostly blacks and grays with a couple faded blues and greens - any of these can be thrown on without an issue, it looks like a complete outfit and nothing about how he’s dressed is any way going to attrract attention
Plus this man doesn’t care enough about himself to make him look good rather than just being fine with what he has, he wants to die and doesn’t allow himself to feel the love he has from his family, dressing up to him isn’t going to add anything or make anything better
So in the sequel i’d love to see him deal with his pain and his betrayal head on and who knows maybe joe will buy him some zipper pants too and maybe booker will actually like them
nicky
Nicky is the other more practical one other than andy, but he lacks her attempt at keeping at appearances/empowerment
The majority of movies he’s wearing plain t-shirts and regular jeans with dad jackets, the only slightly impractical fashion choice being his hoodie from the tac outfit, which it does cover him up completely and allows him to cover his face more if needed but also it’s hot (i also like that post comparing the hoodie to the crusader’s chainmail helmet)
But nicky in essence is practical, he’s the protector of the group, always watching and always on the edges, he doesn’t care much i think for what he wears as long as it allows him to do his job
Yes of course he participated in fashions over the years, and will wear things joe picks out for him and occasionally what he picks out for himself, but that stuff is not for when there is a mission, not when people need help
But i think he usually gravitates towards simple like andy, something to run and fight in but he lacks andy’s past of fame, reverence, and notoriety (at least in the way she had it - he did fight in the crusades after all) so his clothing isn’t to do anything for him but to act as clothing, it holds no mental power over him, he has no image to project - he’s done so much that he wants to help people and protect his family and that’s it
I don’t think growing up in genoa before the crusades lent itself to that many fashion opportunities and while we aren’t sure of his exact status, i don’t think any of the guard were particularly wealthy (except possibly yusuf as the son of merchants) and being a priest at the time i’m sure didn’t make him wealthy in his adulthood either
And while he’s lived 900+ years, the way you grew up doesn’t just leave you, he was at least catholic, and i still think he holds his faith close, just in a different way now
Plus look at his tac outfit, the most comfortable looking (it is a hoodie after all) and he has half a dozen guns strapped to himself along with sword, he wants the ability to carry his things comfortably without impeding him in any way, he wants to be totally and completely prepared and is very much the typical dad in this sense, everything must be on hand so he can protect those he loves
Also you know this man owns cargo pants much to joe’s dismay
joe
we all know joe is the fashionable male among the guard, i mean the backwards baseball cap and the zipper pants? yeah
in his tac outfit, the hat really adds nothing to it besides aesthetic, it’s not shielding his eyes from the sun because he’s wearing sunglasses and it doesn’t aid him in any way during a fight unless he had decided to pull a booker and do “whatever works” and just like hit someone with it - it’s a purely aesthetic choice
but joe was the child of merchants and lived in an area with a rich history of colorful and beautiful fashion, the region was known for the lightweight fabrics and light silks that during the crusades, many were brought back to europe and astounded the europeans
i think that has stayed with joe, that complete appreciation and awe at the craft of making clothing and using clothing to show yourself and personality
joe is also a man of the arts, there was so much poetry and arts in the maghreb region, and while that existed in italy as well, nicky was a priest and probably wasn’t exposed to it much outside a religious context
joe is also an artist himself, he has such a grand appreciation for aesthetics and while clothing purely for aesthetics isn’t practical for the life they live unless they are on a break, he manages to infuse his clothing with his personality nonetheless
the backwards hat was fun, unnecessary but it also didn’t get in the way of his fighting. he probably just enjoyed the look (and i know we all did too) and the leather jacket with the hoodie and zippered pants at the end scene was just such an effortless cool look that was still practical but had a lot more personality and an attempted look™ than say nicky and his dad jacket
nile
most of what nile is wearing in the movie isn’t her choice of clothing, not that i don’t think she’d absolutely pick out that green bomber jacket but in the movie she wasn’t the one who picked it, it was packed for her
but the outfit she wears in the end is just like her, trendy and young and refreshing given that the rest of the guard sticks to their own styles they’ve been in the whole movie
but nile is the one who is most likely to branch out, she’s only in her late 20s and by her last scene in the movie it’s only been maybe a week or so since she became immortal, she hasn’t evolved a ‘be ready to fight’ kind of fashion and doesn’t have the hundreds of years of experience telling her to buy things that she can fight in as well as sleep in - now she was in the marines so to some extent but not with her own personal clothing choices
despite her chaotic introduction to being immortal, it won’t set in for a while that their lives are running from one danger to the next, taking breaks when they can, especially with andy’s renewed commitment to the job she and the others set out to accomplish, her clothing style will probably change as she settles into this new life
but we can see in her last scene, she is wearing comfortable clothing, a fitted shirt with a stylish yet somewhat more loose fitting jacket and looser pants (they look like joggers and i can’t completely remember if they are or not)
so while her clothes are comfortable, they are more fashionable than any of the others, and while this probably has lots to do with her age i think it’s very important to her current state of mind
she’s had the most insane weeks of her life, found out she’s not going to die for a very long time, found out there are others like her, and had to say goodbye to her family without seeing them again because she’s decided to stick with her new life
and this is a massive change for her, after being in the military for quite a few years, assuming she joined when she around 18-20 which i think she did enlist then especially given the fact that her dad passed when she was younger
life in the military is very controlled, so her having this sudden new gift but also this vast wide open future is probably terrifying to her, so much has changed so quickly, she hasn’t had the time to properly sort through how she’s feeling and truly realizing what this life means
her clothes are a reflection of one thing in her life she can currently control because she can’t control what’s going to happen in the world and where copley will find them a job or where they will be at any one time but she has control over herself so she dresses herself how she wants, how she’d dress if she was home
it’s some semblance of normality, some piece of herself that hasn’t changed and that she wants to express
quynh
while we don’t see quynh much besides in flashbacks and then in the final scene i think fashion is going to be something important to her
she spent 500 years drowning, unable to do anything, unable to save herself
nile said she was feeling insane and angry, quynh spent 500 years without an ounce of control over what was happening to her and regaining her life is something she is not going to take for granted
she’s going to live her life to the fullest, which includes wearing whatever she likes and wearing the colors she loves and the clothing that makes her feel beautiful and badass and powerful - a little like andy and a little like nile
it’s a huge part of her life she’s regained, clothing is something the whole world sees and part of how we perceive people and in a world that she doesn’t know at all she’ll want to craft herself an image because clothing is still one thing she can understand - the styles are all different but i have no doubts it’s something she took to quite quickly, having something she can control completely

The Legend of Gotham| Damirae| Batling| One shot (definitely)
A/n: got inspired by M. Night shyamalan movie call unbreakable. Totally different perspective view and drama superhero. I like it! 😆😆 anyway enjoy! Also dedicated to @dastrigon For drawing me bat damian and commander Lenore. Thank you! 😆😆
Casimir has been a while went to private pre-school, although his father, a billionaire, a philantrophist and also founder of animal shelter in Gotham, prefer him to be home school, his mother insist so that he could learn to socialize.
"Let him learn how to talk to people. " his mother gives out warm smile as she caress her son's cheek.
"Don't pampered him too much, love."
Casimir knew his father actually love him, despite with the serious and stern voice. It radiates from him. Like a wave.
It may sounds a bit crazy but he always felt different. Different from the other kids.
Everytime he sit on his table, he could feel different types of feelings that fill the room but none of them contain sadness, or sick like he always feel at night in his bedroom. Some are from the visitor who float through the walls.
He thought it was normal for a kid to experience that but then, the popular kid along with his friends gives out weird name to address him, like Carpet and the worst nickname he got is Freak kid.
He didn't talk to his parents about the mistreat, he just wants to stay away from drama. Whenever he goes, as soon as he almost meet the popular kid he just vanish and went to another place in his pre school compound, unknowingly. He just shrugged it off as soon as he walk away.
Until on that mid winter, all the kids were in the classroom stayed in the room to feel the warm heater. Casimir where resting his head on his table, felt asleep lulled by the warmth in the room, in a sudden, the front main door knock by a group of men trying to get shelter from the blizzard outside all the student aware about it. One of their home teacher, Ms. Frey went to the door and open it.
It happens so fast. Ms. Frey lying on the floor in a pool of blood. The student who witness the event, panic and quickly lock the door of their room. The men were smirked as the other two close the main door then barricade with lockers that was in the hallway.
Casimir who saw what happen through the small window nearby, shivered. As soon as the men are about to ramped their classroom door, suddenly Casimir jolted and almost thrown the table away from him.
All of his classmate have their eyes on him while he was shivered as if the cold outside hit him, he mumbled about danger is coming. What did he see back then? A dream? But he felt it so real.
He see Ms. Frey in their classroom writing on the board about the books project where they need to read. Casimir has no problem about that since Wayne manor has tons of books. He might read it fast but not as fast as Uncle Wally.
Suddenly he felt sick, like what he felt in the bedroom every night when he confront with the people who walk through the walls but this time, its much worst. Much darker and almost suffocating him.
He walk slowly towards Ms.Frey saying he feel ill. Ms.Frey, smiled give a pat on his head and lead him outside the classroom.
"Billy, you're in charge of the class. I don't want to see any trouble when I'm gone. " Ms.Frey gives out orders.
"Look, the freak is a woosie. Hahaha." Cas could hear the popular kid laughing at the back of the class.
"Come on Casimir, let us go to the nurse office. " as Ms. Frey hold his hand and leading him towards their destination.
As soon as they reaches the room, Ms. Frey put him on the patient bed, checking his body temperature, his tongue and eyes color. His body burn up a bit, so she take out a gel cooler from the drawer and put it on his forehead. "I hope this will cool you down."
Casimir noded and lie on the patient bed.
"Ms.Lucy will come in after she's having her lunch break. Get rest alright, sweetie? " Ms. Frey smiled as she tuck him in with blankets.
As she close the nurse office door, he heard the knock. The same knock he heard in that DREAM.
Cas eyes went agape and quickly to the door. Lucky the door has small window behind the blinds. He took a peek to see what's going on.
It was the same MEN. Cas almost screamed but he close his mouth. He wanted to save Ms. Frey, preventing her from opening the door but it seems things happen like in his dream or vision. She's already on the floor in a pool of blood.
The little boy cried. He then, quickly locked the door and dashed towards the nurse desk as those evil men busy themselves barricade the main door with the lockers.
He found a landline phone and quickly call his home.
"Hello?"
"M.. mommy?? "
"Casimir? What's the matter? Are you okay?
"Mommy, tell Daddy send help... Som-" the line were cut due to the snow storm getting worst.
Casimir were totally speechless. His lifeline has been cut and he could hear the evil men try to broke down the door.
Casimir then try to distract them as he unlocked the door and expose himself. Those ruthless men, turn their attention to him.
"Try to get me, you jerk! "
"Is that Wayne's kid?"
"Oi, don't let him escape! "
"Let who escape?"
A familiar voice he heard from behind.
The men at first look intimidated but then they took out their knife and hand guns.
Casimir almost caught out of breath but he felt a soft hand wrap his shoulder. When he turn looked up, it was his mother, Rachel!
"Mom, how did you-"
"Stand back, Cas. " Rachel pulled her son behind her.
"Mommy, no! They are dangerous!!" Cas screamed as he was afraid those men might hurt her like they hurt Ms.Frey.
Two guys at the back held their guns toward her.
"Noooo!!! " Cas were dreaded.
But he didnt heard the gunfire as the gun were unravel, like jigsaw puzzle on the floor.
The gunners petrified with the unexpected event. The leader seems pissed, took a step forward, assault the woman.
Rachel push his son aside as she locked the armed man by his elbow and throw him over her shoulder.
Two man come to her at once as she swipe kick to the left side and sidekick on the right side.
The down man with knife manage to grab her ankle but she slammed her elbow along with her weight on that man's face which she manage to knock him out a couple of teeth.
As the gunners pull out their tactic blades, Casimir tried to warn his mother. But it seems both of them frozed as they heard the loud thud behind them.
Never in his life, Casimir would see a dark figure stood tall behind the bad guys. With horn-like head, is that the devil? Wait, he looks familiar.
"Batman? " his mother muttered under breath as she sit up.
Batman! The legend of gotham he heard when he was a baby. He taught it was a ghost tale when his mother told him but now the legend come to save him, save them.
He felt some unusual wave from his mother, like affection some sort like the way he felt when his mother with his father. Wait, his mother love batman?! But how about his father?!
The dark knight beating the bad guys like the bat flapped their wings sending them fly away. In a blink of an eye, all the bad guys where lying and groaning in pain. Some of them unconcious.
"Woah... " Casimir were astonished with dark hero's skill.
Rachel got up and walk towards Batman.
Casimir quickly hold her hand. " Mom, no! He might be dangerous! " his eyes shows his fear. Rachel smiled then kiss his forehead and she went to the dark knight.
He felt dark wave around the dark knight almost covered the big man himself.
However, as soon as his mother came to him the dark wave begin to dissipated, the warm aura from his mother seems to connect with the Dark Knight. What is happening?
"You were reckless. " Batman muttered as he inspected Rachel's body.
"I was worried about my son." she slapped playfully on his bat logo. Then, she stole a kiss from him.
"Mommy!! "
Both Rachel and Dark Knight look at the confused boy.
"Why... How about Dad?! " Casimir was confused.
"Beloved, I think we need to explain this to Casimir. " Batman went to the little boy.
"Wait, how to you know my name? " Cas stuttered as the dark hero put a pat on his back, then Cas felt familiar with his aura.
"D-dad? "
The vigilante smiled and embrace the boy.
"But... But... " as Cas pulled himself from his father.
"But what, son? "
"But you kiss Raven! You've cheated Mom?! " as Casimir recall the legend of gotham story.
Damian almost choke up as he heard his child accusion.
Rachel chuckled as she sees her husband reaction. Damian glared at his wife for laughing at him.
"Casimir, actually I am Raven. The Queen of darkness," as she demonstrate her dark aura on her hand.
Speechless as he saw in front of his eyes, the famous vigilante are his parents.
"Beloved, I've already alarmed Commissioner Grayson about this. " Damian looked at his pop up screen from his arm.
"Is Ms.Frey okay? " Cas still concern about his teacher who has been hurt as he witness before.
"I've already check the pulse and done some laser stitching towards her wound. She should be stabilize. " Damian press a couple of button then shut the pop screen.
"And Cas? "
"Yes, dad? " as Cas calmed down from the shock news today.
"We'll explain as soon as we come home. "
Casimir can feel his calm and relief aura from his voice, probably they been keep the secret for too long.
Perhaps it is time for him and his sibling to know the origin the legend of Gotham.

Twilight Saga:
“The right thing isn't always real obvious. Sometimes the right thing for one person is the wrong thing for someone else. So...good luck figuring that out”
“And so the lion fell in love with the lamb.”
“He called you pretty...That's practically an insult, the way you look right now...You're much more than beautiful.”
“Don’t be offended, but you seem to be one of those people who just attract accidents like a magnet. So… try not to fall into the ocean or get run over or anything, all right?”
"I’m just going to do what I want now, and let the chips fall where they may."
"Sometimes I wondered if I was seeing the same things through my eyes that the rest of the world was seeing through theirs. Maybe there was a glitch in my brain."
"You're not like anyone I've ever known. You fascinate me."
"Distract me, please."
"I love you more than anything in the world combined."
"What if I'm not a superhero. What if I'm the bad guy?"
"Hasn’t anyone ever told you? Life isn’t fair."
"Even more, I had never meant to love him. One thing I truly knew - knew it in the pit of my stomach, in the center of my bones, knew it from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet, knew it deep in my empty chest - was how love gave someone the power to break you."
"When life offers you a dream so far beyond any of your expectations, it’s not reasonable to grieve when it comes to an end."
"I do a good job of blocking painful, unnecessary things from my memory."
"Yes, you are exactly my brand of heroin."
"If this is how you’re going to react, I’ll freak out more often."
Will you be?” I asked, suddenly anxious. “Will you really be here?”
“As long as you want me,” he assured me.
“I’ll always want you,” I warned him. “Forever.”
“Do I dazzle you?"
”Don’t be self-conscious,” he whispered in my ear. “If I could dream at all, it would be about you. And I’m not ashamed of it.”
“You’re intoxicated by my very presence.”
“I'll be fighting for her, too. You should know that. I'm not taking anything for granted, and I'll be fighting twice as hard as you will.”
"The outside world holds no interest for me without you."
"You are safe inside your mind. No one can reach you there."
“He's like a drug for you, Bella. I see that you can't live without him now. It's too late. ”
“I'm a pro at weird.”
“When he left, you spent all your energy holding on to him. You could be happy if you let go.”
“But it doesn't make sense for you to love me...”
“I was not allowed to think of him. That was something I tried to be very strict about. Of course I slipped; I was only human. But I was getting better, and so the pain was something I could avoid for days at a time now. The trade-off was the never-ending numbness. Between pain and nothing, I'd chosen nothing.”
“It was like someone had died- like I had died. Because it had been more than just losing the truest of true loves, as if that were not enough to kill anyone. It was also losing a whole future, a whole family- the whole life that I'd chosen.”
“Once you cared about a person, it was impossible to be logical about them anymore.”
“The absence of him is everywhere I look.”
“Your hold on me is permanent and unbreakable. Never doubt that”
“Love is irrational, I reminded myself. The more you loved someone, the less sense anything made.”
“Love gave someone the power to break you.
I'd been broken beyond repair.”
“You are so bizarre, even for a human.”
“honestly have no idea how to live without you.”
“The bond forged between us was not one that could be broken by absence, distance, or time. And no matter how much more special or beautiful or brilliant or perfect than me he might be, he was as irreversibly altered as I was. As I would always belong to him, so would he always be mine.”
“Time passes. Even when it seems impossible. Even when each tick of the second hand aches like the pulse of blood behind a bruise. It passes unevenly, in strange lurches and dragging lulls, but pass it does. Even for me.”
“Forbidden to remember, terrified to forget; it was a hard line to walk.”
“I was like a lost moon―my planet destroyed in some cataclysmic, disaster-movie scenario of desolation―that continued, nevertheless, to circle in a tight little orbit around the empty space left behind, ignoring the laws of gravity.”

If you're doing writing requests, could you do something in Marvel Zombies where Danny, Dani and Vlad are immune and protecting New Wakanda when the zombies return, with Danny having a massive hatred of Spidey because he ate Danny's family?
"What are we going to do?" Dani cried. Danny could only look at her, for once in his life not having the answers he needed. Because he didn't know what they were going to do.Ever since the outbreak everything has gone to shit. Nobody really knows who started it, or when, really, but it progessively got worse each week. Eventually it became an all out massacre across the planet, the only safe place being Wakanda since they were so closed off from the outside world. But everything has changed. He knew Thing had control of the subways in most of New York, and Wolverine had a nice chunk of Japan to call his own. He knew that Dani, Vlad, and himself somehow had immunity from the zombie virus, and he knew they had to protect Wakanda. They were already working on a cure as fast as they could, but with only a few samples it was hard. After all, they didn't want to cause contamination in the pristine city."Danny?" Dani asked, looking up at him. Her big green eyes were full of fear as they watched the line of zombies slowly head their way. The fog covered a good portion of them, but from the looks of it there were hundreds. And most of them he used to know. Like Captain America of to the side, Beast right behind him. Deadpool was there too, but no matter how Danny divided up his body he wouldn't stay dead. Undead. Whatever. but he had buried the pieces last time, and he couldn't help the disappointment that came with knowing that it hadn't slowed down the mercenary at all. Right beside him was Danny's old friend, Spider-Man.Danny's chest tightened as he saw the web slinger. They had quickly become friends, and had a sort of special bond, but then Spidey had been turned. They were in Amity when it happened. Danny went to go fight off a ghost and Spider-Man...Well, let's just say Danny was really disappointed when he came back after Danny blasted him full of ectoplasm. The image of his family's half eaten-bodies was forever seared into his brain, and zombie or not, he would never forgive Spider-Man for that.Danny tore his eyes away from the hoard of monsters coming for them and looked behind him, down at New Wakanda. It was the same as it had always been-high tech and peaceful. But these people were about to experience hell if the halfas failed. Vlad crossed his arms and huffed."I don't see why we have to do anything about it," he said."You're immune. You're helping," Danny told him, leaving no room for discussion. While Vlad didn't like being bossed around by a bratty teenager, he knew Danny was right. After all, his business was garbage now that everyone was zombies. If there was a chance to save it, it would be by saving these people. He huffed again."We're gonna fight," Danny finally said, looking back to his clone. "Us three are some of the most powerful being in the world-hell maybe even the universe. If anybody is gonna stop them it's us. So let's do it.""Do you have a plan?" Vlad questioned. His previous annoyance had disappeared, now left only with the desire to finish the mission, and do what Daniel had failed to do-take care of the monster that ate his beloved Maddie. Permanently."Daniel," he said in a cool voice. A testament to his controlled anger. "What affect would your ice powers have on this filth?"Danny shrugged and looked down at his hands. "I don't know. But it could be worth a shot?""At this point anything is worth a shot," Dani replied, her own hands starting to glow with her ice powers. Vlad frowned, muttering about something about getting the short end of the stick."Whatever, Fruitloop," Danny said, flying up a little higher. "We have zombies to end."With that he zoomed forward, knowing that Dani and Vlad were right behind him. The air hittig his face was comforting, covering his body like a cold blanket and offering a sense of security. Danny cherished the few moments he had with it, because in just a moment it would be gone. Possibly forever."Dani, help me create an ice wall!" he shouted. "Vlad, hold them back until we get them surrounded!"Vlad nodded as Danny and Dani dove towards the ground, building the thick ice wall up and around the mass of monsters while Vlad kept them at bay. They were immune to the virus after all, not injury itself. Thankfully with their speed they were able to form the wall in a resonable amount of time. It was large, miles all around, but it seems as though none of the zombies were able to get out, and really that was the goal. If they contained these things before they even got close to Wakanda then already they were ahead of the game. It was a nice change of pace after being behind for so long.Danny gave a happy sigh, but the moment didn't last nearly as long as he would have liked. Some of the zombies were able to fly, or crawl on any surface like a certain wall crawler Danny had a newfound hate for. It wasn't hard to spot him. Since he became a zombie he had become more of a man-spider than a spider-man. He had mutated into something else entirely, with eight large, red eyes and two extra sets of arms coming through the rags of what once was his costume. He climbed with a terrifying speed, but Danny was quicker. He blasted Parker down, trying not to get bit as he did so. He had been bit before, and it had hurt like a sonofabitch, and he would rather not repeat that. He blasted him again, this time with ice. But the monster dogded it and jumped up to swipe at Danny. He had to fly up to be out of reach. Danny growled and shot another ice blast, this time spearing what was once Spider-Man through the chest, forcing the ice to spread over the writhing figure until it was completely encased and unable to move.Ghost ice was unbreakable, so maybe it would isolate them long anough to find a cure, or for them to rip each other apart. Whichever one came first. But one thing was for certain-Spider-Man was not walking away from that one.Danny panted as he wiped the sweat from his brow as he flew higher so he could help Dani with a zombie Iron Man as Vlad blasted the zombies like fish in a barrel, trying to prevent more of them from coming out. They needed to build a ceiling and fast, or else these guys would all get loose and tear Wakanda apart.Danny growled as he made a spear of ice. It wasn`t anything fancy, really. In fact, it was more barbaric than anything, but it managed to get the job done. He was surprised Dani didn't flinch when the tip of the spear came through Tony's chest, right through the dead arc reactor burried in his chest. He pulled the spear out and let Iron Man drop like a stone, only to be eaten up by their former friends."We need to build a roof, not just a wall," Danny said. Dani nodded an got to work, making it large and stable and unbreakable. They would have to make another layer of thick ice once everyone was trapped inside."Gah!" Vlad cried out, reaching for the hands around his throat from the zombie piggy-backing him. It was the zombie of Nightcrawler, hissing and unhinging his jaw to eat Vlad up. Danny and Dani both growled as they blasted the mutant off of Vlad so he could continue to shoot them down. This was pobably the ony time Danny wished Vlad had more powers, like ice. Or fire. He's pretty sure fire would maybe work. All of the non-flyers were quickly stacking on top of each other, fighting to get to the top and over the edge. Vlad blasted them down, and Danny and Dani made the walls higher, eventually curving them. This went on long enough for the afternoon to turn into a muggy evening with a beating orange sunset and into the cool African night where they worked mostly by moonlight and ectoenergy lighting up their path, and eventually into morning again. It seemed wrong for their to be a morning this nice looking when the world has gone to shit, but it still managed to give Danny a small nugget of hope in his chest as he and Dani were finally able to close the dome. Then they silently added two more thick layers of ice, making it stronger than even Fort Smith. Those zombies were locked down and never getting out unless they were able to find some sort of cure.-—-Danny wished the Wakandans didn't cheer for them as they floated in front of the large crowd in the middle of the city. Yes, they saved the day, but only temporarily, and only for this small, insignificant part of the world. But it was a start. Slowly but surely they'd find a cure, and slowly but surely the world would be saved. Danny held onto that small nugget of hope as he looked to the rising sun.He had to do this. For his parents. For Sam and Tucker and Jazz. For all of his super friends that he's lost to this. He needed to do this. The cheeing didn't make the lead in his stomach any lighter as he and the others flew off to go offer ther services to the rest of the world. If anything the weight got heavier.—--------How dare you make me wrote Danny hating Spider-Man. How dare you make me have one half of my otp kill the other. Im mot crying its just eyeball sweat. (It was really fun to write. Also I'm sorry for the lateness, I started it and then the next day started writing a full length fic instead of finishing this so... yeah. I hope you enjoyed it though!)

>> Apocalypse!Au Nessian. (but only if you aren't being overwhelmed with a sea of requests...You're awesome!)
I do indeed have a sea of requests but you may have any flavour of Nessian you want, Nicole, yes you may. Okay. Let me see what I can do...
Apocalypse!AU Nessian: So I’m unoriginal and fall easily into tropes so this is indeed going down the zombie path but...I’m twisting the origins a bit to make it fit canon more. (This got kind of...half headcanony/half drabbley? I would like everyone to know that I have no idea what I’m doing or wtf this is. You are so patient. )
Nesta was right.
When the walls tumbled down and the drums of war beat once more the mortal queens abandoned them. Further twisted by the Cauldron’s influence they took their ships, their wealth, their estates and abandoned their people in Prythian. They argued that it was for the greater good. Better to lose these few than all of their realms. Nesta still cursed their names and swore damnation upon them.
She and Cassian were in the mortal realm together when the world ended.
Nesta had volunteered to liaise with the human realm on behalf of the Night Court and its allies. No. Nesta had demanded to liaise with the human realm. She wouldn’t forget where she had come from, what she had once been, what she had left behind. She would remember them. And she would fight for them.
Cassian went with her. He needed something to do, something to stop him from going out of his mind at the loss of his wings and commanding an aerial force was out of the question. He laid the groundwork of their strategy, discussed tactics with Rhys, helped him appoint the best replacements then went elsewhere to make himself useful. Because he was not going to sit back and let other people fight this war while he did nothing but ‘recover’ from the amputation. He needed purpose. And he had a promise to keep.
Neither of them could know what was happening a world away. The Wall had fallen long ago when Hybern’s troops had invaded and most of Prythian was an active war-zone. Communication was different and the plan that ruined everything was hasty, barely thought out. In an act of desperation words that should have been forgotten centuries ago were whispered in the heartbeats before devastation; two halves were once again made whole; and what she had hoped would be salvation had resulted in the destruction of all things instead.
The world ended and it made the war seem trivial. Boundaries were shattered. Uniforms and standards meant nothing. Hybern, or Prythian, Night Court or Spring Court, or Winter made no difference. In the face of what Feyre Cursemaker, Herald of Death, Princess of Carrion, unleashed upon them all.
All that mattered was whether you were alive or whether you were dead.
Feyre called for help. The dead answered. The dead rose. The dead sought to bring the peace of their own oblivion to the shattered, war-torn living world. She had summoned them but she couldn’t control them, couldn’t return them and the recently lost victims of this war were dragged back to fight again in an army of their own this time.
Cassian and Nesta had gone to the human world to help, to protect, to fulfil promises they had made to themselves and each other - to protect those who could not protect themselves. When the world ended that meant everyone. They tried, tried to organise, tried to help, tried to protect, but it soon became clear that this was beyond their ability to change - not even with Cassian’s burning gold heart or Nesta’s fiery steel will. All they could do was survive.
They began the long fight to return home. To find their families, their homes, their places in this broken world and see what remained of them. They’re stranded, isolated, alone, in a confused part of the world whose people never asked for any of this but are dying in droves for it with no way of contacting those they love and nothing to help them survive what should have been a simple, two day trip which has turned into a nightmare.
All they have is each other. That’s enough.
Humans, Cassian learns as he experiences this among them, are good at surviving. Surviving against all odds. Surviving in the face of things he would expect to destroy them, frail and mortal as they are. Surviving at any cost. He had thought the High Fae brutal and cut-throat. He had thought that, in all his years, in Illyrian war camps, on battlefields where thousands were slaughtered with a whisper of thought and a flicker of magic, through the bloody, tangled years of politics - assassinations, alliances and betrayals that he understood the will to survive, to thrive, to conquer. When the world ends in the mortal realms Cassian realises he knew nothing of it at all and that he and Nesta may well be in the most dangerous place in all of Prythian.
Trust becomes a far rarer and more valuable commodity than gold or jewels ever were and it’s in short supply in this raw, broken new world of theirs. Cassian and Nesta both soon realise that the only people they truly trust are each other, no-one else. Especially themselves.
Cassian teaches Nesta how to survive the way he learned how. (though he does admit she was doing a very good job herself) But wit and cunning and logic only get them so far now - they both sleep a lot better knowing she can correctly hold a knife and duck a punch. He shows her the things that were a mystery to her in the cabin - things that Feyre seemed to find so easy. He shows her how to start fire, how to track game- and other, more sinister things- how to hunt, how to fight, how to kill. The lessons that kept him alive all those years ago in those camps where they abandoned him - a bastard child without a home or a name or a family who gave a damn if he lived or died. he teaches her how to accept the parts of herself that seem so monstrous - because he was told he was filled with killing power but learned how to shape it into shields. She can too.
Nesta teaches Cassian how to survive the way she learned how. She teaches him how to live with himself when he feels like he’s failed everyone he loved - that he’s only destined to do nothing but fail them - as she felt. She teaches him how to survive when everything he had, everything he was, everything that felt real and right and made him him is taken from him - as it was taken from her. She teaches him that there is more to life than a pair of wings - the expectations others place upon you because of what you are. She was only a child when she lost everything, her mother, her life, her future, even herself, but she clawed her way out of that pit and found her purpose, found herself. He can too.
They drag each other kicking and screaming and stumbling through this mess because I am not losing you now, not after everything, don’t you dare die on me. Along the way they teach each other to live again as well - something they’d stopped doing that day in Hybern when he lost his wings and she lost her humanity and they both lost themselves. Ironic, they consider later, that neither of them were reborn until the world ended - that they too were dead and climbed out of their graves along with the others.
They learn how to laugh again, how to find meaning in the small moments, how to cherish the memories that are glazed with the sheen of tears of hysteria that line Nesta eyes, echoing with the boom of Cassian’s laughter. They learn how to feel again, how to open themselves up and hand another their broken hearts. They learn that when despair closes in the kiss of a lover can banish it. They learn that when death threatens the sound of their name upon another’s lips is sometimes all that’s needed to save lives and heal scars.
They learn the other’s taste and feel and scent and what it’s truly like to be joined as one a night when rain batters against the cave they’ve settled in on the border between courts and can no longer resist the song that hums in their blood and whispers mates to their hearts. They had been afraid, so afraid, of what it might be like to forge such an unbreakable bond only to feel it shatter in this fragile, perilous world that they’re slowly starting to call theirs. They learn that night that some things are worth the risk.
They already knew that some things were worth dying for - to protect, to save, to preserve. They learn that some things are worth living for too. That this is worth living for. That they would rather have one moment of this even if it’s snuffed out like a candle before a hurricane the next day than to never know what it is to be mated, to be joined, to belong. That the moment of life they snatch in one another’s arms is worth it all. If death thinks to take them now they’re joined it would be wiser to run.
As mates, as one, they learn how to hope, how to love, how to dream again. They live through death.
In the aftermath, when they look at one another, both knows that if they had been alone they would not have survived. If they had been with any other they would not have survived. But together....Together they made it. Together they survived. Together they lived.
