But for what it's worth, leaving all the shipping stuff aside, I do happen to believe the friendship is very real and just as deep as they portray. If anything, I think Bojan seems to be downplaying it instead of hyping it, keeping it more private instead of posturing on social media. When they talk about each other, they seem very genuine.

I could have bought the argument about exaggarating it for publicity during ESC, I mean, the contestants and especially JO were all out there making friends and creating content and buzz about it, feeding off each other's popularity. I remember thinking that myself - oh, that's cute, what a nice bromance, but I am SO over that kind of narrative, straight friends being huggy for clicks, I want the real thing, I want the happy ending, not settling or falling for anyone's media strategy any more. And it kinda worked, didn't it? 7 points from the Finnish public!

Looking back, a lot of the cute insta stories were staged and purposefully filmed so I can see what you mean. (Also looking back, there are also many moments that were NOT like that, my favourites being the dinner date and everything that happened after the final.)

But then, Tavastia 1.0 happened, and that's when it all shifted for me. You mean Bojan dropped everything and flew to Finland, just to see Jere, just to hang out without an actual agenda (yes, he dropped in on the gig but that wasn't the purpose of the visit)?? And they went to karaoke and watched Twilight and Bojan hung out with Jere's friends when he had a gig out of town?? And it was a month after they had seen each other that they decided to actually keep that promise to visit each other and not let their friendship drop and their connection fade? You mean that actually happened??

And after that we've learned that they talk to each other regularly (like, once a week?) and share values and likes and love together. Bojan has been more quiet about it, sure, but (and now we enter into speculation land) he did seem to be a bit spooked about all the attention, I mean, who wouldn't freak out a little when people start obsessing over your new friendship and following your every move and social media click and write stories about you?

And Nordic Tour was... did you see that? Everything that happened (that we saw)? If it was only for publicity (publicity for what?? At this point, why do they still need it?) it was way too much and most of it totally unnecessary. Those were two people who genuinely enjoy each other's company.

Yes, they live far apart and rarely have time to see each other, but that doesn't mean their connection isn't real and deep and important.

At twilight, a number of councillors, merchants and guards had been summoned deep beneath Kogoruhn, into one of its many halls. They were given no explanation as to why, just that it was important and vital that they came.

It was a spacious hall, lit by mage-lights which drifted idly above. They only lit the entrance of the hall, the rest of it was shrouded in darkness.

They entered the hall one by one. Some recognised each other as they came in, and a sense of dread began to hang in the air. They remained silent, not daring to talk. There were guards in and outside of the hall, watching them all closely. As more people came in, the greater that dread grew.

Once all were inside, the doors were closed and then locked by guards. They began to speak then, demanding to know why they’d been brought there. As they raised their voices and searched for answers, the guards suddenly moved. They wrestled and held them down, binding their wrists and putting magicka-restricting enchantments on them.

Once all of them were bound, the mage-lights moved, revealing the rest of the room.

Someone laid on the floor ahead, beaten bloody and unconscious. His truths had spilled like his blood, and he had purposefully been left lying there, where the others could see him. So they knew that they had been caught; that their secrets were now known.

Dagoth Voryn stood in front of them all, holding his hands behind his back to hide their trembling. He kept his face expressionless, a mask he’d learnt to wear in his adolescents. He couldn’t quite keep the fear and guilt out of his eyes, but he held his head high and tried to make himself look confident.

The guards stood behind the captives, making sure no one tried to escape. Each one had been chosen by Voryn. They were the ones he trusted the most; some he had grown up knowing, others had connections to his uncle. He had few he could trust, and he wasn’t even certain the guards he had chosen wouldn’t betray him. There was only one he trusted not to tattle, though he was not a guard, nor of House Dagoth, but a stranger from the mainland. An outsider. He stood next to Voryn, his chitin boots slick with red.

“You know why you’re here,” Voryn said, forcing himself to speak loud and clear, keeping the tremble out of his voice. He didn’t look at any of the captives before him in the eye. He knew some of them; some he’d even known since he was a child.

“You would betray the empire?!” one of them yelled, both fear and anger in her voice. Voryn dared to look at her; she was a Chimer woman, someone Voryn remembered attending numerous council meetings. He now knew her as an informant of the Nordic Empire.

“You betrayed your own people!” the mer beside Voryn growled, pointing his dagger at her.

The woman gave a look of disbelief. “What choice did I have?! We can’t win against the Nords!” She looked to Voryn pleadingly. “Don’t do this, serjo! They’ll destroy House Dagoth! Surely you realise this?!”

Voryn’s nails dug into the palms of his hands. He was well aware of what would come. He knew he wasn’t ready for war. In truth, he wanted to bury his head in the sand, as his father and brother had done before him. But House Dagoth was already starting to crumble, all of its wealth being handed over to the empire, and surrounded by enemies inland and out at sea. It was easier to hide, and pretend that everything was fine. To look away when villages were overrun by Dwemer or pirates, and as his council was slowly replaced by informants of the empire.

It was the outsider by Voryn’s side that had convinced him to look. Not only look, but do something. He had whispered promises of glory and power in his ears, his breath smelling of skooma and his hands pressed against Voryn’s chest. Somewhere in that fervour, Voryn had agreed to all this.

He shook himself out of his thoughts, and looked to the outsider, searching for approval. Their eyes met, and there was an unspoken understanding between them.

“Nerevar;” Voryn said with hesitance, and gestured to the people before him.

The outsider nodded, an eagerness in his eyes that Voryn chose to ignore. He started with the one already on the floor, flipping him over onto his back and slitting his throat with one fast motion. Then he turned, and some of the captives tried to flee. They were held in place by the guards, none succeeding in breaking free.

Voryn forced himself to watch as Nerevar stalked towards them, his glass dagger gleaming in the pale mage-light. He went to the woman who’d spoken first, standing in front of her in silence. The woman didn’t speak or move, her betrayal turned to fear. Voryn felt his tremors grow worse, and his mask was slipping. He wanted to tell Nerevar to stop, but his jaw seemed locked in place. Even his eyes refused to move, even though he wanted desperately to look away.

Nerevar lunged, plunging the dagger into the woman’s stomach and cutting upwards. There was screaming, and gagging. Nerevar stabbed his blade between her rips, and the woman shuddered and slumped, taking a few raspy breaths before she went silent.

The others died in a similar manner, and Voryn was still frozen where he was, watching each death with wide eyes. After the last one took their final breath, Voryn dismissed the guards, trying to muster his confidence again. He failed, his voice trembling as he told them to leave.

Nerevar cleaned his dagger on one of the dead’s robes, and then approached Voryn. There were specks of blood on his face.

“I hate you,” Voryn said under his breath. “I knew most of those people.” Nerevar walked right up to him, so close they could feel each other’s breath.

“I hate you,” Nerevar replied, eyes narrowed. “You’re the one who made me kill them.”

Voryn’s hands seemed to move on their own accord, cupping Nerevar’s face. He leaned forwards and gently kissed him on the forehead. “I’ll need you to kill for me again, if we are to fight this war,” he whispered. He tasted blood.

“Only if you do the same for me.”

lighting & basic photography skills ofc apply to gaming photography, so fiddle around with the weather & lighting/time with a mod like KreatE or Photo Mode. you can also use the freefly cam SKSE plugin instead of Photo Mode if you wish (you can use both at once, check the Photo mode description about the compatibility tho).

(btw if you use the freeze time for everywhere (or somethin like that) setting in KreatE, you will get an infinite loading screen if you try to travel somewhere else, so make sure you disable that before doing so!)

My bio/about page has the info you need but i'm due to make an update post anyways since im bored as shit :^D

My modwatch list has the mods i currently have in-game & i pretty much try to get it up to date. The Modlist tab on that site is meant to be read from bottom to top, idk why the site does that - probably to show what overrides what. BTW tick the Inactive Mods box under the modlist tab, then CTRL+F for "separator" & you'll find some organized stuff thru that. just be sure to read above the separator.

^ i'll probably make a google doc/spreadsheet later to make it easier to read since some of the mods are all over the place in my list cause of wanting to override certain things. plus that modwatch list is so overwhelming especially since i have like 1400+ active mods wtf 💀

Water is still Water for ENB (Shades of Skyrim option)

Mountainzzzz & rawkz:

Skyland AIO <- Enhanced Rocks and Mountains (for the fixes) <- Rapid Rocks, Skyrim 3D Rocks, slightly Better Rock Cairns you can also use Majestic Mountains if you prefer the textures but idk, i had issues so i switched to using ERM and Skyland's mountain textures

if you just want to use one singular retexture mod, Skyland AIO or Skyrim 202X are your best bets since they cover almost everything, it also depends on what style you want. yah!

Treeeeees:

Nature of the Wild Lands <- Traverse the Ulvenwald you can use one of either the two tree mods but i use both to make my computer suffer because i couldn't decide on the two. plus makes very dense forests with the additional trees the two mods adds but there will be bugs in-game such as floating trees (rarely), two trees in one spot. the latter can be fixed with bashed patches, if you're familiar with those. also using Cathedral Assets Optimizer to downscale the tree models & textures to 1k/2k can alleviate frame drops & ur computer crying (unless youre in like falkreath)if u dont want either of those, there's performance friendly trees such as fabled forests, happy little trees, aspens ablaze, or blubbo's trees etc

Grass:

QW's Grass Patch 2 + Origins of Forest - 3D Grass Reduced (loaded after the grass patch in the plugins section) <- ENB Complex Grass patches

Plants & flowers:

Plant-specific retextures e.g Mari's flora, Cathedral <- Blubbo's Shrub Replacer <- Less Ugly Tundra Grass <- TB's 3D Nettles, TB's Better Ferns (i didnt realize these models were everywhere until i used this LMAO), etc.

there are also the dumb niche things i download that override these textures like chains (or bloody rags. fucking. bloody. rags. or fuckin garlic.).

again, go thru my modwatch list if you want to snoop around. ctrl+f the term "-Misc Retextures & Replacers_separator"

The Valknut

Three triangles interlocking, seen behind the wand (picture 1), in the woman's necklace (picture 2), and the King's throne (picture 3).

Historically, the Valknut's been found on many memorial stones (hence its nickname as 'the knot of the slain warrior') and runestones. Its main symbolism is not known, but it is theorized to either be associated with Odin or with the dead.

In modern times, it is used by nonracist Heathens, but also by white supremacists, particularly those that worship Odin. Because of its common use by both parties, it's still up for debate if the author and illustrator used this as a common Nordic pagan symbol, or as a dogwhistle.
