Eldritch Nika!!! I’ve always been fascinated with this idea ever since reading those fics where Nika is a separate entity (that may or may not have a an agenda of his own) and slowly influences Luffy to being a facsimile of himself. The You are my Sunshine and At the Gallows… are my favorites of Luffy being… slightly off and uncanny due to Gear 5/Devil Fruit. And all those “Gear 5 at Marineford” fics where everyone is horrified at the reality bending he does (Time Moves Through You being my favorite) are fantastic and big inspiration.

ok so i established the hc that his favorite dim sum dish is phoenix claws but that he also likes steamed char siu bao (which aligns w/ his signature dish)

the first two chibi doodles and the full-body art are based off of that ^

i hc that the aunties in the market will watch his performances and offer him food from their stalls at the end as a thank you as well ^^ i imagine the aunties beckoning him over like "leng zai" or "gaming zaizai"

As for what you were saying about The nose and Mouth being on the same line: I'm imagining what you're talking about is the line starts at the tip of their nose and goes down to their chin? Kinda like some anime styles? My recommendation would be to do what I show above: Draw an egg-ish shape. And the make sure to draw the nose as a Spike/Orb/Whatever shape is your dream desire, popping out of it. Kinda think of it like a mountain in the middle of a flat Plane. Sticking out like a sore thumb. Besides that!!! References are your best friend!! Reference other artists!!! Reference IRL people!! And keep on keeping at it!! Like I said, I used to be TERRIBLE at drawing them, and here I am now :D I'm not always happy with them, and sometimes I still hate how I draw faces (working on that tho) but I'm miles better than when I was a kid. It was such a pleasure to draw my brother's name in our Secret Santa this year! I've been wanting to draw him something meaningful with Serizawa for forever, seeing as Wawa's one of his favorite characters. Watching the entirety of Mob together with our friends is something I will forever look back on fondly. Merry Christmas, @chroama-the-brute :>

Serizawa has such a touching journey as a character and I thought it would be fun to challenge myself to show that, as well as the impact the people in his life has on him, without any dialogue.

The narration for this comic is inspired by a portion of The End Poem by Julian Gough.
