WIP Wednesday on a Thursday again because I’m like that.
(Spoilers for the end of Part 1 of the manga)
Playing around with a little fic that charts the progression of Sherliam’s relationship in NYC with a focus on hands, because I’m still not over the way William touched his wrist where Sherlock grabbed him 😭
This is a scene early on where Sherlock finds Liam staring at a piece of paper that simply looks like a mess of ink smudges, but which they both know is the remnants of Liam’s letter — kept in Sherlock’s pocket when they took their tumble into the thames, and now the words seem to be lost to the water forever.
But Liam didn’t spend all night penning words from the heart just to let them fade and be forgotten. Maybe this time, he can give Sherlock his answers face to face.
the world is full of pain and suffering. so what are your softest sam/dean headcanons?
happy wincest wednesday, lana! <3 sorry this reply is months late lol. But it is A wincest wednesday (for a few timezones west of me) so...
some of my fav soft samdean headcanons are domestic finale+ winchesters:
I love thinking about Sam having soft fucking feelings about the grey coming in at Dean's temples and in his stubble. The crinkles at his eyes. The low groans Dean makes when he gets up from a chair and the appreciative moan he makes when he settles into the impala or into bed.
I love to think about Dean's soft look when he watches Sam sleep. The way he runs his fingers through Sam's hair when he knows Sam won't catch him. He gets a weird thrill out of the soft look Sam gives him when Dean hands him his reading glasses before he asks.
The getting-older caretaking they do for each other so naturally; so fucking married.
On the slightly spicier side, my pet headcanons are full of consensual somnophilia and lazy morning sex.
thank you @nerdieforpedro, @wildemaven & @burntheedges for the tags! I was on a major angst train yesterday so stayed away from any of my writing for fear of what I'd do to my wip's 😆
But Jackson!Joel I hope is reaching the home stretch so I can prep it to post...
Leaning in, he captured your lips in a slow, tender kiss. The familiar scratch of his beard against your skin felt like home. His breath hitched as you moved your hands around his hips and up the curve of his back, your nails a light scratch against his skin. A sigh of contentment passed between you both, carried away with the steam rising around you.
Since it's past Wednesday, I'm going to leave tags open! If you want to share your wip, consider this me tagging you in! 💕
The rare WIP Wednesday: Thursday edition this week, bookwyrms and writerlings. Time is weird right now, what can I say?
Anyway, it's time to talk about the supporting characters of our stories. A good supporting character makes the world feel lived in, like there's a bunch of stuff going on and our heroes have to navigate a world full of people that got their own shit going on. A bad one makes the reader realize the author needed someone to mention that Rozenkrantz and Gildenstern are dead, or whatever, but that's not what we're focusing on today.
We're talking about the supporting characters that really work, who shows up enough and has a compelling enough presence to feel like they could be the protagonist in a different story. I want to know who your very favorite supporting character is. What makes them really stand out to you? Are they friend or foe to the protagonist, or perhaps some secret third thing? What's their stories look like, and what are they trying to achieve. Flex some extratextual information if you feel like!
So before I made the last song in Mad Rat Monday a big medley using all the songs used in the album, I had a different plan for it, whose niche of “oh haha song that uses all of Mad Rat Purgatory” being taken up by Forever July. I found a lot of the unedited sound files for the idea and figured I’d stitch together what it would’ve sounded like for y’all to hype up Eternity dropping in 11 Day
