Okay I’m going to geek out about Toshinori’s costume designs because I’m an English major and analyzing tiny details in text is what we do and also I love??? The designs! And each one tells us so much about All Might and his focus during each costume.
Costume 1 (Young Might):

So first off, despite young All Might’s longtime dream of being a hero, his suit is mostly black. A stark difference from comics books and his later self which tend to be bright primary colors. The few dashes of primary colors he has are desaturated, even in the second instance where we see this costume. This would have likely been the only costume Toshinori designed himself, as David became his designer in college.
Obviously, others have pointed out the similarities to Nana’s suit, just like how Izuku copied AM’s, so I don’t think it will be necessary for me to point that out. But this suit is also very practical. Something the flashy All Might isn’t really known for, but let me point the details out. He has boots, gauntlets, as well as what appears to be protection for his upper torso, and even for his neck. A decent balance between more protection and more weight, which would slow a hero down. Also, unlike Nana’s suit, his extends completely down the arms. The only skin surface available is that of his hands, something that stays the same through all of his costumes and as such, must be something he personally insists on. In media, gloves often represent someone with secrets, or a guarded personality. All Might not wearing gloves shows how open he is, not just with his friends but strangers too. And it’s humble, too. It’s not an unfeeling, covered hand extending to you when you’re in danger, it’s the bare-handed reach of a friend, and I fully believe that’s why Toshi goes without gloves. Also it’s possibly a sensory thing for him as well, which goes with my canon-supported theory that this man has ADHD, but that’s a nerd rant for another time.
The colors are important because while obviously they mimic Nana, you can practically see through the color choice that Toshinori is not in his right mindset here. While later the oversaturation of colors serves to show how his own heroism has made him into something Else, and outside of his own head, leaving the man inside to shrivel away, these muted colors show that Toshinori has not yet blossomed. Also in the brief scenes we see of him when he is younger, Toshinori is very solemn. The one scene we get of him smiling when he’s young is when Izuku is comparing them at the same age, and even then, it’s more of a smirk as opposed to the signature All Might grin we all know and love. Black also is just a reasonable color for something like crime-fighting. Black shows the least grime/dirt, so he could reasonably spend more hours out in this costume without having to come home and wash it/trade it out. (Which is something that I love that this series includes, by the way!)
Costume 2-ish:

Toshinori adds some shoulder pads for the fight with AFO, probably expecting to stand side-by-side with his mentor. I could give a more full-body image but this is really the only difference I could pick out.
Costume 3 (College Might):

This is the first costume of All Might’s that is designed by David Shield.
First off, props to David. He’s an awesome designer. He not only made a new design, but incorporated several choices from AM’s previous suit, and definitely conferred a lot with Toshi on how he wanted his suit to look while still ensuring its functionality.
Black is traded for a dark, unsaturated blue, giving AM a more peaceful look, as navy blue is considered to be a calming color. (Even Endeavor wears it! But maybe copying AM and not wearing it for the same purposes?) All Might’s cape is also changed from red to blue, taking away the dark look and making it the color of the sky, again adding to that Symbol of Peace idea that is Toshinori’s dream. The gauntlets and boots remain, but the chest-piece has been removed, offering up more mobility. The yellow of his belt has been brightened, and added in place of the blues on his gauntlets and boots, giving him an overall more friendly look as opposed to the more subdued one he had before with the blue accents. The red has been removed as well, and by moving it to his body, it gives the impression of veins and the blood that is pumping away through the heart of this hero, which is fantastic for someone who cares as much as Toshinori does. White was also added vertically on the sides of the suit, thinning out the very intimidating form of Toshi and making him more approachable, while adding a more pure look to his overall form. This appears to be in part, a stylistic choice on David’s end that follows through to the other suits, though it’s hard to know if it remains on the Bronze Age Suit as well.
Overall the brighter colors telegraph that Toshinori is doing much better mentally at this point. He now has A Friend, and for the time being, is safer from the troubles at home, until he has to return.
Costume 4 (Bronze Age):

We don’t even get a full look at this suit, indicating that its time in use was likely short-lived. As I’ve seen others suggest, it seems very likely that when All Might returned to Japan, he went straight down to business and began doing vigilante work as he tried to track down AFO. However, possibly due to a combination of not finding him and All Might’s rising popularity, he seems to abandon this track and move on to a different form of heroism, which his suit symbolizes. I’ll briefly point out that Toshinori returns to the primarily black suit he had as a teenager, as well as the shadows of his face that add to the idea that as soon as he got back to Japan, he reverted to the mindset he had when he left.
Costume 5 (Silver Age):

This suit indicates to me that this period was All Might’s prime, despite his later suit being considered the Golden Age of All Might. (And even though it’s my least-favorite design.) He has the typical cape of a hero, and the bright colors are now fully of typical comic book style. The circular design on his chest indicates a target, but with being cast in white and surrounded in red, gives the impression that he himself is not the target, but the villainy around him is. Or at least, that is likely the thought process for this design. Other than the dashes of white here and there, the colors are very solid, possibly indicating a more stable, but single-minded train of thought, something AM is notorious for. No offense to Dr. Shield, but I would have mixed the colors better in here, and the cape connection is too bulky for someone who’s as jacked in the shoulders as Toshinori is. Alas, I am not the designer. We shall move on.
Costume 6 (Golden Age):

I love this suit. Plenty of analysis has been done on it already, but I think it’s a fantastic representation of how Toshinori’s been crushed under the very image he had originally wanted to create. His shadows are darkest and most severe here, reminiscent of how body-builders dehydrate themselves to get the best appearance of their musculature. His posing is also more inward, as opposed to the silver age, with the angles of his elbows being less directly out and more in, and instead of appearing confident, it’s more of how a cat puffs out its hair to make itself appear larger when it’s scared. I had a long bit to go with this but it was eaten by the Tumblr gremlins. Basically I believe this suit was made post AFO-battle. All Might is declaring he’s not finished yet, all while knowing his time is running out. This suit has several callbacks to the original suit David designed for him, with the navy, though more saturated base and the red lines running throughout the form, though the gauntlets and boots from before have been integrated into the suit itself. This could reflect David’s mindset as well, as he reminisces about the days when Toshinori was healthy and happy, when now Toshinori’s health is rapidly fading.
Anyway, here’s my costume analysis! I think it adds a little more insight to Toshinori’s mental state and situations in the years outside of the show as well as in them, and I hope you enjoyed this read! I’d love to hear other ideas too, if anyone has them!

So I just realized something about the Pizzaplex location and its connection to the Pizzeria Simulator location.
Isn't it weird how there are now two large parts of the Sister Location building inside the underground area of the Pizzaplex?
Not only is the scooping room and the scooper itself down there, but we get to the claw machine we go through in PQ4, we are led by OMC to the Sister Location elevator, this time going up. So the elevator in SL is connected to the FFPS location, which we see the ruins of at the end of SB, in Ruin, and we literally play from there in HW2. You can tell by the matching show stages and the models for the chairs that it's the same as FFPS.

The scooping room seems to have been reorganized in a way, and the scooper looks like it can flip around and fold up to be stored on either side of the room if the matching walls are supposed to be the same spot. That would make the four doorways that you run through in Ruin to get to the scooping room part of Ballora Gallery if I remember correctly.

Here we can see two different perspectives of the elevator, whereas in SL we're up against the back wall looking through the doorway, and in PQ4 we're stepping in through the doors. The tubing on the wall even matches up with the original SL design, aside from the new poster decorations. Whether that was just an artistic choice or a hint that someone has been down there and felt the need to replace the decor that's somehow lore relevant, I don't know.
This means that Pizzaplex is built on top of where Henry's house would've been in the books, as Sister Location is directly connected to his house in the novels like it's theorized to be with the Afton house in the games. But below that is the Pizzeria Simulator location, which you would think would be the end of it, but no, there's a giant sinkhole in the FFPS location that you play in during HW2, and that's where the Mimic was locked away. And that's where I'm about to suggest something that might blow your mind.
What if not only was the FFPS location connected to the Pizzaplex, but below that was the Sister Location? What if I were to tell you that the Mimic had been trapped in an old area of the SL rental service and had potentially come from there to begin with, but was sealed back inside? The placement of the mascot costumes in the files of Ruin make more sense if we think about it as an older location, and specifically with SL, William had a hand in owning it, and potentially Henry as well.
People have already made the connection between Henry and Edwin Murray (who also happens to have a son that holds an animal plushie a lot of the time and who seems to be neglected by his father), so it wouldn't be impossible for Henry to have locked the Mimic down there in the games since it was basically a storage facility for bad robots that nobody wanted to think about anymore.
This changes an understanding we have of the lore in a new way. We know there was most likely a house built on top of the SL building, whether it was Henry's or William's in the games is up for debate and might never be confirmed or mentioned again, but these games are connecting the underground locations of SL and FFPS not in them being the same building, but them being connected, one on top of the other, with FFPS being above SL.
This could mean that the FFPS building was an old space that wasn't just built or some random location that was left to rot, that location could've been part of the SL storage facility, or just a specific upper floor dedicated to storing who knows what before it was turned into the trap to burn all the robots. It could even be that FFPS is where the Mimic had come from originally, and by the building being broken into with the new Pizzaplex construction, they unknowingly set the Mimic free. But now it makes sense why they couldn't escape the fire, because they were trapped underground in a building made to contain robots like them. But instead of it being Henry's more recent creation, it's either one he's had for a long time or it was made by William a long time ago, though because William was so intrigued by invitation to enter the facility, I wonder if he'd actually been involved with the place, or if Henry was actually the one who operated it and was using it to store evidence of William's twisted creations. We still don't have a definitive reason as to why William sent Michael down there instead of going himself anyway, and it would make sense if he did because the facility was underneath Henry's house, and it's heavily hinted by Candy Cadet's stories in FFPS that Henry was aware William had been the killer behind the MCI, and his awareness seems to be dating back to around the same time the murders were committed. He wouldn't want William on his property, despite his reluctance to turn him in for whatever reason.
Sorry for the long rant, I just had this realization while thinking about the ending of HW2, and all of a sudden, I had an epiphany. Anyway, I'd love to know what other people think of this and what it means for the upcoming games and lore. Safe to say I think I get why this game had an extra focus on SL, FFPS, and SB specifically, it's because all three locations are connected.

Ahsoka Rant: Colors and Fallen Jedi
It's Saturday, so I finally have time to sit down and write this analysis for Ahsoka that I've wanted to do on the importance of colors in Star Wars, and how it directly correlates to Ahsoka and explains the title for episode 4: Fallen Jedi.
Star Wars has always identified the hero and the villain of the show through colors and costuming. Anyone can walk into a Star Wars movie and without any other context identify the good and the bad guy based on the fact that the good guy wears light colors and the bad guy wears dark.

We see this light vs dark costuming choice in most Star Wars media. Our biggest exceptions are:
Anakin: After the Phantom Menace Anakin is always in dark colors. And even then his costume takes a gradual change to Darth Vaders full black.

And now Ahsoka (up til ep. 5):

What is soooo interesting about the first 4 episodes of the Ahsoka show, is that you can't identify the good and the bad guys just by looking at their costumes. Everyone in the scene above is wearing dark colors. And they are all shades of grey.
The purpose of ep. 4: Fallen Jedi is to show that every Jedi we have seen up to this point in the show is a Fallen Jedi. They all carry aspects of the Jedi, but none of them are true Jedi.
Lets start with Baylan and Shin. The first time we are introduced to them mirrors the first time we are introduced to Qui-Gon and Obi Wan.

Hoods over their heads, mysterious, walking side by side. Exactly how we know the Jedi to typically appear. Obi Wan and Anakin, even Luke, all typically enter a new area this way.
I would describe Baylan as Lawful Evil. He still believes in the practices of the Jedi, but not the Jedi code. He has Shin wear an apprentice braid

They stay together so he can teach her at all time.

And he keeps his word to Sabine.
But his morals reflect that of Vader. And his fight to rescue Morgan Elsebeth mirrors Vader fighting the Rebels at the end of Rogue One/ beginning of A New Hope.

The most interesting aspect of this duo is the Shin has the lightest costume of the two (It's also lighter than Ahsoka and Sabine's costumes). It is closer in design and color to the typical Jedi outfit, while Baylan still wears Clone Wars armor.

Baylan is the Jedi who fell during the Clone Wars. He feels he only knows how to destroy to create something better. Shin is still an apprentice, doing purely what her master tells her, and could go either way in the force. Her costuming suggests that her fate could swing and Ahsoka and Sabine could sway her away from the dark side. Either way, they have both certainly fallen from the Jedi Path.
Ahsoka is also fallen Jedi. Soon after meeting Ahsoka again we get this exchange between her and Hyuang.

Ahsoka flat out tells us that she doesn't follow Jedi protocol. Though those of us who know Ahsoka from the Clone War know that this is literally nothing new. AND THAT'S THE POINT. Ahsoka was taught a mix of the Jedi code and a Warrior code, because that's what Anakin had to teach her to keep her alive. Ahsoka has been a fallen Jedi since the accusation that caused her to leave.
Unlike Baylan, Ahsoka doesn't follow standard Jedi teaching practices. Sabine doesn't have an apprentice braid. They don't stick together

And even when they are together, Ahsoka keeps a purposeful distance, like she's afraid of the responsibility.

Baylan even directly addresses this to Ahsoka. That she only knows how to fight.

A Jedi should know other ways, other options. But all Baylan and Ahsoka know is how to fight. (Which is why Anakin's lesson to Ahsoka in ep.5 is soo important. Look forward to another rant from yours truly on it more in depth.)
Knowing that Ahsoka has been a fallen Jedi for such a long time, seeing her in her fallen Jedi state, makes her transition to Ahsoka the White in ep. 5 so much more powerful, because seeing the main character finally in light colors tells us what we knew all along. That there is sooo much good in Ahsoka, just like there was good in her master before her, and his before him, etc. And we finally get to see Ahsoka in live action not as the fallen Jedi who has been picking and choosing her responsibilities, but as the Jedi Ahsoka is. With so much love, compassion, and kindness. I'm so excited to have the Ahsoka that we all know and love back!

I let myself go wild while remaking my Collector cosplay! Thank you so much @DanaTerrace and your team, I had so much fun over analyzing all the little details in the show to try and incorporate into this!
I’m also going go to do a breakdown the 60 hours of work over 2 weeks that went into it because I had to speed up everything! My initial design. I ended up changing the design in one side to mimic the grain pattern on the other side, but all of the little details and the color shift are high key my favorites parts

I was dead set on the fabric shifting between Navy/Plum and Silver/lilac. I’m fairly certain I willed these fabrics into existence because they were almost impossible to find. I had a back up plan of navy and silver velvet if it didn’t work out, which I will likely still make

I wanted to add texture to the costume. Little details you wouldn’t notice at a distance but up close you could see all of the tiny hidden intricate details. My initial design was a quilted pattern but it priced very hard to digitize. I wanted to maximize the space I could cover while mimimizing the time spent so I created a second design. That one was further simplified down to save time. Each pattern piece has 15 panels, 25 min each

The alternate side was originally supposed to have diamonds on it, but those proved difficult to digitize and difficult to line up, they just didn’t look as good as I had hoped. I redesigned it so that the lines imitates the grain of the dark purple/crossed the grain. Much better

I also has to trim all of the strings to clean it up and trim the backing. Next time I do something like this I will use water soluble backing. This side had 15-20 panels (I lost count) at 25 min each with 3 bridging patches to help make the pattern look natural.

The sleeves have 6 designs per sleeve and the zigzag design. I wanted the zig zags to be interlocking titan skulls, each one took 7 min (11 per sleeve). There are 3 different moons with a collector hidden in each. The suns are the sign of the huntsman. Each sun/moon took 30 min. I also added the titans from the title card boarder to my collar

The hat dot/constellations are in the opening. I had to add a couple more by hand to fill in blank spaces. The hat is lined and the lining/boarder are attached via a satin stitch. I finished most edges with a satin stitch.

RUIN Theory! - Candy and Costumes
Spoilers for the RUIN dlc up ahead! I’m gonna be honest—when I saw the RUIN dlc, this is not what I thought I would be theorizing about. This would’ve been last thing I thought of for my bingo sheet! .

When you’re going down to the deep deep basement, you run into Candy Cadet, which gives you some nice foreshadowing that I was not expecting. I’m realizing I should probably look at the previous games more, because he does appear in Pizzeria Simulator as an animatronic you can buy. Candy Cadet is in pretty good condition though, all things considered. The other animatronics we’ve seen that survived that fire look terrible in comparison (namely the Blob, Burntrap, and the animatronic from the basement, though they all are a bit dubious with their origins). Candy Cadet does look different design-wise though, which puts into question whether we can trust the designs of other animatronics (another example of a changed design is possibly the Blob, who is speculated to be created from Molten Freddy’s remains. Their head being the Funtime Freddy head makes more sense overall, so I’m considering it a retcon moment). That could be good for my previous theory about the animatronic in the basement being CB / Scrap Baby.
Beside that, as you give Candy Cadet more coins, it gives you a story. Here’s the full thing so you can make your personal theories and have more context for my own;
“Now I will tell you a story about a mother and a little boy who lived alone in a cabin in the dark woods. There was a monster in the woods, but the mother caught it and kept it locked in the basement. The monster always made scary noises at night, but the mother would tell the boy not to worry because it could never get out. Then she would sing the boy a lullaby to sleep. One day, the monster stopped growling and instead, listened and learned the lullaby. The next day when the mother went out to find food, the monster sang the lullaby from the basement. The little boy heard the lullaby and opened the door.”
Following that, a loud, warning siren-like noise blares.
Like the other stories, it seems to be a parallel for other events. Specifically, Cassie being lured down to the basement by the “monster.” The real question is who the mother is. My first thought was Mrs. Afton or the Entity trying to stop her from helping the animatronic, but I realized that probably wasn’t the case. Given that it says the monster copied a lullaby, I’d say that the mother adjacent is probably Gregory. Cassie only went down when Gregory left and the monster called her to help in his voice—the going out to get food parallel. Unfortunately, it doesn’t give us much to work on from there. The story is mostly just foreshadowing for what’s going on, warning Cassie not to go down. It does make me wonder though, how does Candy Cadet know all this stuff?
Another thing I noticed is that the animatronic in the basement wears a destroyed lion mascot costume in the “scooper” ending, which reminded me of the white tiger that the mimic uses as a symbol for itself in the books. This is yet another connection to the animatronic in the basement and the mimic, showing the parallel through two large feline characters. There aren’t any other felines that I know of in the franchise, so it isn’t just a coincidence. Lions are often used to symbolize strength, courage, and justice (also royalty, but I can’t see how that would connect to anything). I’m not sure if that has any implications for lore, but it could have something to do with how that animatronic feels or its purpose. Maybe it has some justice it needs to fulfill, for whatever side it’s on.
EDIT: if Gregory is the mother in Candy Cadet’s story, why does it say the mom caught and trapped the monster? Is it because of the supposed earthquake that trapped it? Did he find it and decide to lock in away with the security? But Gregory had said that it had been down there a long time, wouldn’t that make Henry or someone at Fazbear a more likely suspect? What about Vanessa? The nodes do look like rabbits. If so, then why? She’d have to have done it near the beginning of getting hired, but she would’ve been corrupted. I wouldn’t think Glitchtrap (or whoever/whatever it is) would want to leave it down there. If it is William or William adjacent, it would probably want to let it run free. Maybe it’s even a mix of both Gregory and Henry.
EDIT II: I noticed that Candy Cadet says “I am a Candy Cadet” instead of “the Candy Cadet,” which makes me wonder if there are multiple. It would explain the design discrepancies.
EDIT III: another candidate for the mother is Cassie’s dad. He was a technician who loved Bonnie and collected old Fazbear trinkets. He could’ve possibly locked the animatronic down there.
EDIT IV: if the mother was Mrs. Afton and the boy was Gregory, it could possibly explain why he knew about it. If he went down before and got killed/nearly got killed, then he would be all too aware of the animatronic down there.

Imma be so fr, I am insanely tired of the Mimic vs. Afton debates. I'm settling this once and for all. Buckle up, as this will be a pretty beefy post.
In regards to Burntrap, it's Mimic. There's no other viable explanation anymore. At SB's launch, Burntrap was very much intended to be Afton, but that is not the case anymore. I am aware that Burntrap and Mimic have very different designs, but need I remind you this series is plagued by design inconsistentcies? Scraptrap is supposed to be the same suit as Springtrap. Scrap Baby has a completely different hair structure, despite her seemingly using a broken version of her original mask. Molten Freddy doesn't have legs despite Ennard having them. You need to realize that just because characters look different, doesn't mean they aren't the same. But most importantly when it comes to Burntrap, it no longer makes sense for it to be Afton. We know many things about Afton, but most importantly we know he's egotistical. He's grandiose. Tell me, why would Afton just disappear after accomplishing the feat of escaping hell itself? He would absolutely move on to his next big plan. He's not seen in RUIN. In fact, Mimic is right where Burntrap used to be. You're telling me Mimic just showed up exactly where Afton was and suddenly Afton is gone? Did Mimic kill him off screen or something?
Afton is not Glitchtrap, either. It's still Mimic. We know from SB and the questionably canon emails of FNAF AR that Glitchtrap took control of the whole Fazbear Network when scanned in. Why would William not be immediately exploiting this? No, Glitchtrap exploits it, but he does it more slowly. More methodically. Glitchtrap doesn't act like Afton either. It's got a the bragging Afton, but it goes a bit overboard. It dances and prances and waves. Not to mention Glitchtrap wears a more mascoty costume as opposed to a springlock suit, just like Mimic.
"Ohhh! but they scanned Scraptrap's circuit boards for Help Wanted, Yakkyr! Ohhhh!" Wrong. I recently replayed Help Wanted, and all Tape Girl says is that the boards were old. The boards are also specified to save on programming costs. You know what character is old, able to mimic performances, and happened to recently come into Fazbear Entertainment's possession? The Mimic. Not to mention, Glitchtrap specifically latches onto Tape Girl's AUDIO LOG FILES. Halfway through the tapes, Tape Girl completely flips her script and leads the player right to Glitchtrap. And I know it's mimicking her voice because if it had already possessed her, it wouldn't need Vanessa.
And finally, if it IS Afton, why is he the only one who survived the fire? The Blob/Tangle isn't Molten Freddy. It's probably made up of his remains, sure, but it's not really him. Notice how mindless and rabid Tangle is. It Acts more like a creature infected with agony. It may have Molten Freddy's Agony, but the souls within Molten Freddy have been laid to rest. Michael and Henry are dead. Charlie is at rest. (Be thankful I'm not going on a tangent about how stupid the theory of Charlie haunting the Pizzaplex is. I'm keeping this on track.) It would make no sense for Afton to be the only one alive.
And if they DID scan Afton's circuit board, all the board would have would be Agony, which means Glitchtrap wouldn't really be him. Agony can bring things to life, but it doesn't cause true possession. There is physically no way for Afton to come back whatsoever. And if they actually DID scan the circuits of old animatronics, why didn't anyone else come back? Why don't we have a Circus Baby Glitchtrap or a Puppet Glitchtrap? It makes no sense

hi! i was hoping to make a hunter cosplay of my own and ive been looking at a lot of different cosplays to see what works for people. I really like your cosplay and how you made it more real than cartoony, and I was wondering if you had any tips on creating a cosplay (and also I just wanted to say again that I LOVE YOUR HUNTER COSPLAY IT LOOKS AMAZING) 👉👈
Oh yes, I would love to offer some tips!! Let me say right out of the gate: I'm mostly going to focus on how I put my costume together, but I really don't want it to come across as intimidating/expensive/complex if you're newer to this stuff, so know that if there are ways you end up deviating or cutting corners or doing something totally different, that's just you figuring out your own path and that's something 100% encouraged! Cosplay is a cool hobby in part because there are a million ways to do it, and everyone makes mistakes along the way that help them learn. That said, here's a look into my process!
(Also my original response to this was apparently TOO LONG and tumblr wasn't going to let me post it, so watch this space for a reblog with some other tips!!)
I really like thinking about the, like, design and materiality of the costumes I make, so honestly my starting point for a cosplay like Hunter is first going "Okay, what do I think these different parts would be made of in the real world?" even before considering what I'm actually going to make them out of. For some things that's an easy question -- obviously the mask and pauldron of the Golden Guard outfit feel like they should look like metal armor -- but for others it's more complicated. Like, what types of fabrics would his clothes be made out of? Why? And for parts like Flapjack, how do you split the difference between "sometimes made of wood, sometimes a real, actual bird" in a way that feels satisfying?
For example, for Hunter, my thoughts were as follows: the Golden Guard outfit is fancier than the normal Scout ones and felt like it should look a little bit showy, but at the end of the day, it's also a military uniform that he wears out on missions, so choosing fabrics that felt both nice and durable seemed like the best way to capture the "feel" of the outfit. I wanted to make something that looked important but practical, and based a lot of my decisions off that vibe.
I also took note of some of the "impossibilities" of his costume as a result of the animated medium -- for example, his cloak shifts from being a simple over-the-shoulder cape (which is what most people seem to make when cosplaying him) to a full-on circle cloak that closes up in the front when he's standing stiff and at attention. That's possible in a cartoon, but not in real life, because those are two different types of garments that require totally different amounts of fabric! So with things like that, you sort of have to pick which vibes you want to preserve, as opposed to trying to mimic the show perfectly. For me, that meant patterning out a more complicated cloak, closer to the circle-cloak style but with seams and shaping in the shoulders that make it possible for me to pin it back and look a little like a cape, even though it isn't one. I liked the bigger, heavier garment because I feel like it really drives home his vulnerability next to Belos. But someone who prefers the cool swooshiness of his cloak when he's out in the field would have wanted to make the cape! If and when you look at patterns, definitely pay as much attention to the energy they have and what they make you feel as you do to whether or not they match Hunter's "canon" look perfectly. You're working with fabric, not animating, and embracing the medium you're actually messing around with is definitely going to help with capturing that realism you're after. Related, but just know you're going to have seams in your outfit where there aren't any in the show. It's impossible to make functional clothing without there being visible seams somewhere, even though cartoons rarely show them. Focus more on making the costume you want and learn to love the realism they add instead of stressing over "inaccuracy"
Another thing: I don't know how familiar you are with different types of fabric (being entirely honest, I am way less so than many of my cosplay friends, so don't worry if the answer is "not very") but doing a bit of reading on them might be helpful, and I really highly recommend going to a fabric store and walking around feeling the different materials, thinking about what kinds of clothes they remind you of and how they move and stuff. One of the things that adds a lot of the "realism" to my Golden Guard outfit is that I used a variety of different fabric types, all with fairly unique textures -- the undertunic is this thick, metallic linen, that looks almost like a fencing lamé, which felt perfect for evoking that "fancy, but also combat" vibe I was going for, the overtunic is a more synthetic material but with a texture to it that definitely makes it look less cartoony, the white cloak fabric is a nice, shimmer-y material that looks the most "luxury" out of all them, but I then lined it with a thick, heavy, gold cotton, which means it doesn't swish around as much but also maintains some of that practical/showy duality. Think about your everyday clothes -- I know right now, I'm wearing a light cotton t-shirt and jeans, both of which are made out of totally different fabrics. To really give Hunter a "real life" feel, I leaned into that same idea. The Golden Guard outfit especially has so many layers, so there's lots of room to play around with mixing and matching materials -- just make sure you like how they all look together, too!

I don’t remember when the idea of a sequel was first talked about but I knew if I wanted to do a sequel to I Love My Fangs, I didn’t want it to be about Dracula but one of his classmates. I had designed a whole class of monsters and thought it would be fun to explore some of their stories!

I had a few ideas for the other classmates that didn’t pan out but I did have this story about Bigfoot thinking his shiny coat of fur is so beautiful that he refuses to cut it and it becomes a nuisance in class. If you read the book, you’ll see just how much trouble he causes! 
There’s a specific spread that I pictured when I first came up with the idea for the book and throughout all the revisions, it stayed in the book! I won’t post that spread though since it will ruin the surprise. I’ll post a few of the other ones instead.

I don’t usually write with a specific message that I’m trying to push. I think a message just sort of forms the longer I work on a book. I never want to seem to preachy to kids. I also don’t want my characters to be perfect. I try to let my characters be messy and learn from their mistakes, like how they might in real life.

This book came out during the pandemic so any event that I tried to do with it had to be virtual. 
I did get a really fluffy brown hoodie to mimic Bigfoots fur that I wore during my virtual events! I tried to find a Bigfoot costume, but I’ll be honest, some of them were a bit too out there for a kids event. Fluffy brown hoodie worked out fine though!

I can’t remember if this book was made with the yiynova or cintiq. This book was created during the time when my yiynova was starting to show signs of dying though, which is probably why I can’t completely remember.

Random Colour Symbolism in the Human AU
So, people’s hair is incredibly important for storytelling purposes. It tells a lot about the character, from their personal style to their personality. It also can be used to show change like leaving the past behind (think of all the dramatic hair cutting scenes) or becoming who the character actually is (the reveal of their hair actually being curly or dying their hair). All in all, it’s huge in character design. 
As is the way characters dress and hold themselves.You can tell a lot by how a character is dressed from their profession to their hobbies to their favourite colours. If they’re wearing an heirloom, it’s implied that family is something that’s important to them, like wearing a suit implies they are business oriented. That’s why animators and illustrators spends so much time focusing on the little details of what the characters wear.
And colour theory is also important. Colours have different meanings and associations in different cultures and areas of the world. They are commonly used to showcase traits for characters long before said traits actually appear. 
Why do I mention this? Because a while ago while I was working on character profiles for the human au, I decided to combine these for Johnny. Working in the self expression aspects as well as colour theory (and referencing silverback gorillas for an easter egg), this is what I came up with for the evolution of Johnny’s hair and style between movies. I hope you enjoy!!
***Heads Up: I do have a more severe costume change mentioned as I found his and Meena’s lackluster in the wake of all their growth.***

Johnny’s story arc primarily is one of identity and acceptance. In the first movie we see him at first as a mini version of his dad. He’s dressed in his dad’s hand-me-downs and it’s clear he’s trying to mimic the man and make him proud by focusing on their similarities.  He’s clearly trying to come across as intimidating and grown up which really doesn’t work. However, this makes him seem just small and lost and he looks like a little kid trying to play dress up.
Over the course of the movie however, we start to see slight changes in his appearance. During rehearsals and practicing, Johnny’s hair starts to look a little bit more silver (like his dad’s) but only for a few seconds. His posture also improves and he starts to come across as more self assured. He starts to actually look closer to his age. This only relapses when Johnny nearly steals the prize money, again appearing as a smaller version of his dad. When he stops however, the lighting on-screen has his hair come across as silver, when he decides to win the money properly. 
During the final performance scene, Johnny’s hair can only be read as silver because of the lighting, with the actual black color only appearing briefly. This is indicative of him becoming his own person and starting to make a path of his own, with or without his father. When we see the two reunite, Johnny’s hair looks almost as silver as his dad’s for a few seconds at the end when his dad leaves, marking him as his own person and his father’s equal not his shadow as well as this being the start of something new for both of them.
In the second movie, Johnny’s casual appearance has drastically changed from the first. His hair is longer than his dad’s and is styled in a way that is clearly his own preference as we see none of his family members with a similar one. It is also silver tipped, just like his dad’s, again marking them as equals. Johnny’s clothing also seems much more fitted and like his own, and despite wearing the same jacket as in the first movie (this time showing his connection to his family instead of mimicking), his clothing is more stylized and has more accessories. It’s clear that Johnny is no longer focusing on being a version of his father and instead on being his own person. He seems much more confident as well, using his appearance to showcase his identity. He looks older. This shows how much he’s changed since we last saw him.
 However, when he’s with Klaus, his hair appears darker and he once again is read by the audience as small. It isn’t until he gets his confidence back that his posture straightens again and his hair seems as silver as it was in the beginning. But, it does go back to essentially all black when Johnny is getting attacked during the performance, showcasing the fear and self-doubt he was feeling at the time. When Johnny starts to fight back again and gain traction in the fight, his hair starts being read as more and more silver until at the end it appears to fully be so. This would mark once again Johnny’s victory in the situation as well as him doing so as himself, not as who someone else wanted him to be, therefore bringing the identity aspect back into the picture.
In all instances when Johnny’s hair can be read as silver, I would hav it so that it does look like a trick of the light, but the symbolism remains. Silverback gorillas are the leaders of their groups. They are in charge. And while the silver colour was a nod towards that base species, it also symbolises maturity, healing, and enlightenment, all things that do appear in Johnny’s story. He matures in both movies from a scared kid to someone who is confident in himself and who he is. He heals his relationship with his father as well, and his relationship with his family is clearly important to him. As for enlightenment, I would argue that his story does touch on that in a broad sense as he is enlightened in the second movie to continue to be himself no matter how many people try to stop him.

I find it super lovely to look at other modes and mediums, such as performance, to communicate a narrative or feeling, like how Louie Zalk-Neale explores in their work. Their consideration for materiality, embodiment, gender identity, movement, and a relation to the body, are all themes that resonate with my own practice. 
I enjoy the way Louie speaks about their work, and their feelings. It is expressed so beautifully in their statements. They talk about the power of clothing and dress, which I found quite thought provoking in terms of it’s power and place within my own work. I have always considered what materials I use, and how charged they are with connotations of “femininity” is something that I have attempted to harness in my work. 
Something I haven’t considered until recently, is the performative nature or potential, for my work. I don’t think I would consider performance as an option for this semester necessarily, but I think that the connection or echo of performance, and movement, is super relevant.

so random question about the six teen edition, idk if this is the right place to ask but i’m not sure where else djsjwjwj
so the licensing thing says they can’t replicate costumes or sets, right? but in my experience with school shows, typically schools will try to… i don’t wanna use the word replicate but it’s the best word so, replicate the professional version. like, when my school did west side story, they tried to make the costumes similar to the broadway ones, same with the set. so if a school did six, would they have to design their own costumes? like, completely different from the current, very recognizable costumes? and i guess is that like a normal thing? i don’t know a ton about school musical productions in general, i guess, but i think a lot of my question is, is it fairly normal for a school production to try to mimic the professional costumes and set as much as possible with school funding? is the copyright on the six costumes and set a normal thing? i don’t know a ton about this stuff lol so maybe a dumb question but i’m just kind of confused ig
I know this seems like my standard response but its complicated. Like what I said the other day, kicensing is released to a small group before doing a widespread release to work out the details of licensing that particular show as each will be different.
I'm on mobile and can't insert the cut but I'll add it later in here.
Copying or trying to replicate profesional productions (broadway, west end or whatever the best known production is) is pretty much the norm for schools and amateur productions. They might go for an original staging with replicated designs.
The thing is if a school, or theater group has the licensing or not (not saying your school didn't). Many schools just get the script online and put on a show without legally having the right to do so which means they don't have the limitations of a licensed show.
I want to make a lot of emphasis on this: having licensing or not is up to schools not students, but as my former director said "you are teaching them how to do theater the moral side of it is important". Because licenses are not just about being able to afford putting on a show or not, it is about the creators of the show being paid for their hard work and being able to protect their creative version. An easy way to know if you have it is check in your scripts if there is a text saying something like this show is performed with the permision of [insert licensing company in here]. Or checking the licensing websites some have lists of where the show is being performed. The biggest ones are musical theater international and concord theatrical (the one that has six).
So with all that aside. Costumes, sets and every other creative element are indeed under copyright and can't be freely used, some licenses can grant permision to copy those for an extra charge. In general if you look at license pages you will find something different for each show but a very common one is the setting and a mention that it has to look appropiate for it (so no jeans in les mis) but there can be exceptions (like how some spring awakening productions do modern clothing).
You could put it in five rough categories (that aren't official I just named them right now):
Copy with permission: what many shows do, for an extra fee in the license contract you are allowed to copy production elements, which ones depend on the show. And many times for blocking or choreography it is prefered to have someone who was in a proffesional staging directing or choreographing.
It is too iconic to not allow: there are some elements that are just seen as part of the show so it is almost the norm to allow copying (original versions are allowed too. Things like chorus line choreo or some costumes or the red dress in thoroughly modern millie. I mean not even disney will tell you you can't give belle a yellow dress because they did it already.
It is literally in the script: self explanatory if the text says something the license can't just ban it. Personal story time: a few years ago I was head of wardrobe for a production of cinderella, the script says giant white gown and glass slippers, so we had a giant white gown and glass (rhinestone covered) slippers just like the broadway production. While design details can and will change some things you can't change. Some things have to be that way too for practicality reasons. Again with cinderella the peasant dress had a calf lenght skirt, an overskirt and a corset just like broadway but thats because thats one of the few ways to make a transformation dress with a giant petticoat hidden.
There is no other way around it: some stuff just can't be different enough and still follow the script. Think about newsies, there is only so much you can do with newsboys outfits, so no point on saying productions have to be different.
Copying is banned: this is where six falls. Outright banning copying or replicating production elements is not rare and can happen for multiple reasons. For six I don't think it is a stretch to think they released licensing for schools since they knew many were already taking a transcript and putting on the show, this is a way to protect themselves and the creative vision (some things like basically banning boys from playing the queens and stating that the show has to be performed on school grounds are way too specific for them to not know what is happening). Also releasing licenses this early while a show is still running and relatively new is very rare. Six has currently seven productions running with at least another one opening this year. The license is a compromise "fine we will allow it to happen but under our terms". By banning any copying they create a clear separation between the proffesional productions and schools and avoid any claim of being the original from productions they can't directly supervise. They've seen everything and know people will copy costumes sets and choreo which will probably not pass the strict standards the show has so better be safe than sorry it is still their image after all.

fashion is strange
The suit Cheyenne wears as a Nightwing was made as more of a runway thing initially (she's a fashion designer- thts part of the story, she made like a whole line of Nightwing-inspired stuff) so practicality wasn't the main thought in mind, it was just supposed to be something sexy inspired by Nightwing
Structurally you can see it's that there's a main bodysuit piece with a top that's designed seemingly based on this kind of shirt (a type of bardot) but obviously exaggerated/altered to mimic the Nightwing suit and also show off her cleavage. Then the 'sleeves' are more like gloves (like, evening gloves that would go up that far), the only reason they're actually connected to the body piece (which gives us the armpit cutout look) is so that this suit can have the blue parts of the costume completely match up with Dick's

But her cowl is attached to a little zip-up cropped shrug that goes over it which creates the illusion of 'one suit with awkward armpit cutouts'. It's just the way two pieces of clothing interact that creates that look here. I will say not every artist is consistent with making it look this way, so sometimes it appears more like just weird cutouts in one suit, but the artist for these examples (Joëlle Jones) is the one who designed the suit so I take the way she draws it as the way it's supposed to be.

frankly i think having armpit cutouts would make something a bit more breathable and while it looks a lil silly imo i think would help with keeping cool because if you're in a heavy suit like this and actively moving and jumping and fighting you could overheat easily

Valentine’s Day

Valentine's weekend came quickly for them all. The boys had given her strict instructions that they were making plans for it and they would get everything for the day. If she wanted, she could get them little gifts, but the day was theirs. During the week leading up, Mingi and Yunho went on a special shopping trip together to a sex shop. Both boys were nervous and didn’t entirely know what to expect when they went in. They wanted to get something special for the day, for their girl and, especially with the short time frame they were working with, this was their best option.
A quick internet search had provided them with a few options. They settled on one that seemed to have the biggest selection, heading there one day after classes. Contrary to their fears, they found the store to be big, bright and open, looking much more like your average big box store than they would have guessed. They kept the safer things like lingerie closer to the front and in the large windows to the front of the store and slowly added things that were more obviously adult the further they went to the back of the store. Honestly it might have been easier if the store had been smaller. Fewer things to choose from means fewer choices that had to be made. But here they were. 
“What do you want to look for first,” Yunho asked Mingi as they stood together somewhere near the middle of the store.
“Maybe we can start with something to wear,” Mingi suggested, seeing a section of costumes and some racks of things for men not far away. Yunho nodded, agreeing that it was a place to start at least. They wandered around a little, flipping through the things on the shelf as they passed.
“What about this?” Mingi pulled a small thong off rack and held it up. Yunho couldn’t help but smile at what he had picked out. It was adorable and perfect for the occasion. The front was designed to mimic a black tie suit, topped with a small black silk bow tie and had a small row of tiny black buttons going down the front underneath it.
“I love it, it's perfect for you,” Yunho agreed, tucking it in their little handheld basket. They walked down another aisle before something caught his eye. Up on a little mannequin he spotted something he could only describe as a leather harness. It looped around the waist and had a couple of straps that went around the thighs, all connected with a series of straps, buckles, and rings.
“What about that?” Yunho pointed at it to bring Mingi’s attention to it.
“Ooooo,” Mingi breathed, nodding enthusiastically. “That would be good on you. Do… do you think they have any that would look good on our girl?”
“Let’s see if we can find that one in a size I can wear first,” Yunho chuckled. They did, it was thankfully adjustable and came in a number of sizes. They tucked the one they thought seemed like the best guess in size before combing through that section a little more for their girl. Before long they found a harness they liked for her. It was a little simpler, but lighter and feminine almost. It had only two straps around the thighs and four thinner ones that connected the waist to the thighs. It looked like a leather garter belt with little bows on the vertical straps which hooked to the loops in the thigh straps with little lobster clips. They also located a matching harness for her chest with a couple of medium straps that went around her ribs then a mess of thinner ones that went up to a choker like one, curving around the outside of her breasts and up between them. They had had to improvise slightly in size, not having checked her clothing size before they left, but they did manage to get help from a store assistant who let them test their hands on a couple of mannequins, roughly sussing out her size from memory. That little experience left the female shop assistant in giggles and Yunho blushing bright red.
Having helped them with that, and having shown them to the dressing room to try things on, she went back to her job, still smiling and snickering as she did. Yunho’s face felt like it was on fire as he stepped into his dressing room to try on the harness. It will all be worth it, he told himself. Besides, she definitely found the fact I was embarrassed much funnier than anything else. He took a deep breath and started fiddling with straps to make sure the harness would fit. When it was all attached over his boxers, Yunho poked his head out and whispered Mingi’s name to get him to take a peek and see what he thought. Mingi poked his head out, then waddled quickly into the stall where Yunho had changed.
“It looks good,” Mingi said, not able to keep himself from staring at Yunho’s thighs.
“Did… did you try yours on too?” Yunho asked, noting that Mingi currently didn’t have his pants on.
“Oh yeah, what do you think?” As he asked, Mingi lifted up his long baggy shirt to show the formal thong he had put on over his boxer briefs. Yunho watched as he turned in a little circle for him.
“I think I can’t wait to see you wear that without the extra layer,” Yunho joked, giving Mingi’s bum a little squeeze.
“I like it, too,” Mingi grinned widely and gave a laugh.
“One person to a room,” a familiar voice said from the hallway, humor still dancing in her tone.
“Sorry,” the boys apologized in sync and Mingi slipped back to his dressing room to change back into his pants. With everything tried on, they had a few more things they wanted to get for the big weekend. Since his dignity was already in tatters with her, Yunho decided that the sales assistant who had assisted them before was probably the best choice to help. Color still high on his cheeks, Yunho found her righting a display not far away and tapped on her shoulder.
“Oh hey, did you need help with something else?” She said when she looked up to see him. 
“Would you be okay helping us with some… toys,” he ended with a whisper, not wanting someone else to overhear, feeling shy enough already.
“I suppose it may depend on what help you want,” she laughed, setting down the last thing she had in her hand. “But I can probably help you out.”
“Thank you,” Yunho said, gripping the basket tighter in his hands.
“Come this way,” she told them, heading over towards a section of the store off to the opposite side which had shelves of boxes and a couple display cases. “Okay, what were you looking for.”
“Umm, a vibrator, I think,” Yunho cleared his throat, looking around at all the stuff around them, feeling a little lost in the selection.
“Great, is that for you or Miss Mannequin?” As she asked, the corner of her lip twitched.
“Is there a difference?” Yunho asked.
“Well there can be,” she began carefully. “Let’s start with how you want to use it.”
“Okay,” Yunho nodded, feeling Mingi draw up by his side.
“Were you wanting something for your girlfriend as well?” She directed the question to Mingi who only nodded in response. “Okay well, let’s start with looking at the sort of options you have.” Taking a moment, she pulled a couple of things out of the case in front of her as well as a couple of boxes off a nearby shelf. “So, you have basically ones that go in her, ones you use on her, or ones that sort of attach to you to help you please her. For example, wand and bullet vibes are pretty popular, you use them on the outside and she could use the bullet one on you as well.” She pushed forward something very large that looked like a small bat as well as something tiny that looked like a rounded chapstick tube but in silver. “If you want something that would go in her, or you too,” she added as an afterthought. “You might consider a rabbit vibe, or another sort of vibrating dildo, or a vibrating plug like this.” She pointed to a couple of big boxes and then a silicone something that looked like it belonged in the neck of a wine bottle, like a cork with a pull attached. “And there are also these that go on your fingers, or you, or your tongue, for just that little bit of extra oomph.”
“That’s… a lot of stuff,” Mingi commented, looking at everything she had laid out.
“I think… not something that goes inside,” Yunho decided, scooting those off to the side. “And maybe not something that I put on,” he added. “Which one do most people think feel the best?”
“Well if you are going to use it while you are with her,” she said meaningfully while trying to be tactful. “Something that specifically stimulates her clitoris might be what you are looking for.” She turned around and pulled a couple of things out of displays that had been behind her. “These are really popular and kind of feel like when you go down on her. Mingi and Yunho looked at each other with raised eyebrows.
“Did you want to see what it feels like?” She offered. Both boys nodded, each taking one and turning it over in their hands to find the switch and test it out. “This one,” Yunho said and Mingi nodded. “I like this one, I think.”
“Great,” she nodded and started clearing off the top of the display case since they had made their choice. Yunho waited, looking at what was inside while he waited. The case was mostly filled with smaller things that were unboxed, things that would be easy to pocket without paying for. There were stainless steel piercings, little silver balls, and large assorted rings made from various materials.
“Did you want to look at the cock rings, too?” She asked, noting the direction of his attention.
“Maybe,” Yunho let out a nervous chuckle. “What do they do? How do they work?”
“Well they help you get harder, maybe a little bigger, and can make it feel better,” She explained, pulling out a couple of different kinds. “Not everyone likes them and they won’t make drastic changes for you, but it might be something fun to try, if you want to. “I have an idea,” she held up her finger and walked a couple of display cases away and pulled out a selection of a few reasonably sized dildos. “Which one is closest to you when you’re hard?” Yunho pointed at the largest one on the table and looked to Mingi, who nodded in agreement. “Okay, just pointing out, it won’t work as well if you aren’t honest, so no judgement.” Both of the boys pointed at the largest and it was her turn to blush slightly and blink. She paused and her eyes flicked down to the fly of his jeans for a split second. “Large. Got it. What about you?” She asked, trying to gather herself and look at Mingi. He pointed at one size down and she blinked a couple of times. “Also a large, okay.” She reached into the case and pulled out some black silicon rings. “I recommend these to start with. They are more forgiving and easier to get on than some others. Here is a little pamphlet to go with them, as well.” She put them and the pamphlet into a small ziplock.
“Thanks,” Yunho nodded, taking the bag and putting it in their basket.
“And here are the vibrators,” she said as she placed two boxes on the counter in front of them.
“Oh we just need the one,” Yunho said, picking up a box and putting it in the basket.
“I thought you both wanted to have one to use,” she gave a self effacing laugh.
“Yeah,” Mingi agreed. “That’s right.”
“Well, umm, you should probably get your own,” she said, pushing the other box to him gently. “It really isn’t the best idea to share toys between different partners.”
“Oh, we won’t,” Mingi said understandingly. “We share a girlfriend.” With that reply they gave her another thanks, leaving her there blinking quickly as her mind tried to process that rather unexpected remark.  They ended up going slightly overboard with the fun stuff, figuring anything they didn’t use now, they would eventually. They bought massage oils, a kit called Let’s Play Together that included things meant for sensation play (they agreed they could figure all that out later), and some flavored oils and dust that seemed interesting. Finally satisfied, they headed to the register and paid for their haul.
Unfortunately, the shopping bag they brought home was not terribly discrete, bearing the logo and name of the store on it, which meant it was very apparent where they had been shopping when they arrived home to find their girl in the living room with Hong Joong and Seonghwa. They were catching up, after having worked on a bit of homework together. Her eyes landed on the bag and she let out a loud cackle.
“I am so getting laid this weekend,” she hooted. Hong Joong doubled over with laughter and Seonghwa grimaced slightly as he snickered into his hand.
“Like you weren’t totally going to this weekend anyway,” Seonghwa rolled his eyes and started to pack up the last of his things.
“Yeah, but now I know I’m getting really good laid,” she pointed out with a grin.
“Something I didn’t need to know,” Hong Joong noted. “But I am happy for you.”
“Ugh, I need to get a gift for Sangie,” Seonghwa sighed.
“I thought you already got him something,” Hong Joong blinked at his roommate.
“I got him some chocolates on actual Valentine’s Day,” Seonghwa allowed. “But we have a date on Saturday. I need to give him something then.”
“Sure, right,” Hong Joong nodded. “Thank you for reminding me why I am not that upset to be single.”
After a little small talk, Hong Joong and Seonghwa headed back to their dorm, leaving the trio alone at home. She gave each of the boys a slightly belated proper welcome home before Yunho took the bag back to his room for later.
“No peeking,” Mingi told her as he pulled her into his lap for a moment of cuddles. “Promise you won’t ruin the surprise.”
“I promise,” she agreed, giving him a sweet sustained kiss. “I want the surprise too.”
“You’re going to love it,” Mingi grinned at her, holding her close to him.
“Babe, I would love it even if we all just sat in the same room and read,” she assured him. “And I know that you two have something better than that planned for us.”

On Saturday morning the boys woke up early, well at least earlier than normal, to start Valentine’s Day for their girl. They had the whole day planned, and it started with breakfast. Mingi had set an alarm for them, putting his phone under his pillow, in the hopes that they could get up without bothering her. Unfortunately, she was by far the lightest sleeper of all of them. It was in fact her that heard the muffled alarm, fishing Mingi’s phone out from under his pillow and turning off the alarm. She turned on her side to face him, touched and moved by the effort at least. She roused him with gentle kisses on his forehead and over his nose and cheeks. Half awake, Mingi pulled her up against him, snuggling his face into the warm mounds of her breasts.
“Mingi, baby, your alarm went off,” she told him gently as she stroked the side of his face.
“Alarm?” He said groggily. “What alarm?”
“The one you set, honey,” she chuckled, letting her head fall back into the pillows. “Don’t ask me what it’s for, you didn’t even tell me you were setting it.”
“Valentine’s Day,” Mingi suddenly realized, pulling himself up and out of her arms. “Awwww, you were supposed to sleep in while we got breakfast ready.”
“It’s okay,” she reassured him, putting a hand on his bare arm. “You can still do whatever you had planned.” 
She shifted, starting to pull herself out of the covers when Mingi stopped her. “No no, you stay in bed this morning.”
“Can I go pee if I promise to come back and lounge back in bed like a princess?” She asked patiently, hands clasped in her lap.
“Yes,” Mingi agreed, slightly chagrined. She got out of the bed, giving Mingi a quick kiss on the lips as she passed, heading to the bathroom to pee and wash her face as she did every morning. While she was busy in the bathroom, Mingi got Yunho up as well and they headed eagerly into the kitchen to make breakfast. They were going to make her favorite, french toast with fresh strawberries and real maple syrup. Mingi made her favorite tea, brewing it in their teapot, and got out three matching mugs for them. Both of them worked on preparing a special tray for her, putting her food, an empty mug, her silverware in a nicely folded napkin, and a little vase with a peach rosebud on it.
Mingi carefully carried her tray down the hall with Yunho behind him managing their plates, two mugs, and the teapot very well thanks to his large hands. They found her lounging in the middle of the bed, hair twisted up in a bun with her silver comb, watching something on YouTube as she waited patiently for them, dressed only in one of Mingi’s old t-shirts.
“Happy Valentine’s Day,” Mingi declared, putting the tray on her lap. Yunho came around the other side, putting their own plates on the bed before filling her mug with hot tea now that there wasn’t a risk of it splashing out. 
“Oh… wow…” she breathed looking at the breakfast. “You guys are such sweethearts. This looks so good. I just love it.”
“This is just the start of the day,” Yunho promised with a grin.
“I can’t wait,” she leaned forward to give each of them a kiss before happily digging into the food they had so lovingly made for her. Happily nomming on every bite, she made sure to let them see how pleased she was by everything they were doing for her. They often did little things for her, happily taking care of things around the house, running errands, and of course, reaching anything too high for her. But this was different. It was the first time they had really planned a big thing, a grand gesture for her, and she loved it.
Breakfast done, the boys cleared up the bed and cleaned up the dishes in the kitchen before rejoining her in the bed for a romantic movie. While they watched, Yunho redid her hair, braiding it before twisting it up with the comb, making it more secure for what they had in store next.
When the movie was done, Yunho snuck into the bathroom while Mingi distracted her in the living room for a few minutes. When he had everything ready, he poked his head back out and gave Mingi the go-ahead to get her ready and bring her in. Mingi stripped his old shirt off her before guiding her into the bathroom with her eyes covered. Even before he let her see anything, the smell of the bath tickled and tempted her nose, tantalizing her. Rose, jasmine, and magnolia mingled in the steam warmed air of the bathroom. The air was still, only the drip of the tub faucet and the sound of someone that must have been Yunho shifting slightly as he stood on the bath mat.
Mingi let his hand drop, allowing her to open her eyes. She was immediately struck dumb by the sight of what they had transformed the bathroom into. It was usually a really lovely space, mostly glistening white tiles and gold colored taps and towel racks. A perfect balance of classic and modern. Serviceable, comfortable, cozy. 
But now, the room before her was a cave of romantic comfort. They had blocked out the light from the window with a towel, instead lighting the room with a dozen candles. A few were small tea lights, mostly placed where something bigger wouldn’t have fit, but most were pink and white pillar candles put in clear glass cylinders to protect them from drafts and to protect the things around them from their flickering flames. Around the edge of the tub and even on the side of the counter closest to it, flowers were strewn over every surface. Little bouquets were gathered in a few vases scattered among the loose flowers. The tub was filled with milky looking water, scented like a fragrant garden, with buds and petals floating on the surface.
“Oh boys, this must have been so much work.” Just looking at it was choking her up slightly. “Thank you.”
“Come get in, princess,” Yunho crooked his finger at her and helped her step into the warm water. The water was the perfect temperature, surrounding her with warmth and the rising scented steam made it feel like she was enveloped in a whole different world inside that tub. Yunho cupped the water up over her shoulders and neck, making sure the soothing water covered her from the neck down.
While Yunho continued to dribble the water on her, Mingi came to sit beside him, taking her hand out of the water and starting to gently massage the muscles and tendons in her hands. Honestly, it had never occurred to her that it would feel quite so nice to have that done. She sat in the flickering orange light of the candles, letting the boys dote on her, but it felt a little strange to be the only one getting attention.
“Would you mind getting in with me?” She asked, turning to face them. 
“But we’re pampering you today,” Yunho replied, kissing her nose.
“You can still pamper me from inside the tub,” she smiled at them running her hands up their arms.
“If that’s what you want,” Yunho agreed. Both boys stripped off the last of what they had been wearing and slipped into the water after carefully lowering its level first to keep it from overflowing.
“Come sit in my lap, I’ll rub your shoulders,” Mingi said, reaching for her. She nodded, scooting over so she was sitting on his crossed legs facing Yunho opposite him. Mingi’s hands went to her shoulders gently rubbing at the muscles in her neck. Yunho’s hands reached for her feet under the water, gently massaging them in the milky depths. She let out a satisfied moan and let her hands stroke the muscular flesh of Mingi’s thighs.

“Mmm, nah,” she wrinkled her nose at the idea.
“What about just loyal servants?” Yunho tested.
“Still no,” she stuck her tongue out at him.
“Knights at your service?” Mingi tried after another moment’s thought.
“Oooo, yes, I like that,” she gave a low chuckle and ran her toes over Yunho’s lower stomach as she did.
“Oh, do you?” Yunho teased. “I am at my lady’s service, always.” He sat up and leaned forward in the water, scooting until he loomed over her. Dipping his head down, he kissed the side of her jaw as one hand went to her breast under the water. “I commit my life to her pleasure.” Lifting her breast above the waterline, he sucked the nipple into his mouth, swirling his tongue around the tip like it was the tastiest candy. Yunho leaned back and extended his legs so that she and Mingi could straddle them under the water, the easiest position that allowed her access to him, and put his hands on the curve of the edge of the porcelain tub on either side. He cast her a challenging look and gave a nod to Mingi who then slid his hands over her hips as he pressed against her from behind. She smiled and teasingly wiggled her butt against the boy behind her.
Under the water, her hands wandered down over the planes of his muscular stomach, enjoying the soft skin that stretched over his lean muscles.
