Do you know all of Sun Wukong's children? I understand that King Paramita is Lady Iron Fan's son with Wukong(?). and that Yuebei Xing and her brothers are maybe children of Taiyin xing (the theory). Obviously I understand that they are not like something canon, however, it is interesting to know about them.

I can’t say that I do know every iteration that Wukong has kids but I can try to make a list of what I got at least! There are the non-canon kids of Sun Wukong that I know of at least right now. I'm sure there is more but these are the ones I know from media at the moment.

SUN PARAMITA!!

I made Paramita, the first born, off Hero is Back 2015 Wukong. I thought that HiB Wukong gave off great Big Brother vibes.

Paramita is based off (fire) and (fire) when it comes to the 5 elements and the 8 trigrams. He is Red and I've made him to look nearly identical to Wukong. He has a deep Copper fur but he has a long wavy main that reaches beyond his waist. He's a BUFF dude, and is def the warrior of the family. He takes his whole as being the first prince very seriously and considers himself the most responsible of his siblings, taking on the most royal duties so that his younger sibs could enjoy themselves.

As a young kid he really looked up to his father and still does but he does come off as a ruler follower and a bit more intense than needed. He wanted to grow up to be just like Wukong even when he wasn't sure what that included. He puts his dad on a pedestal which strains their relationship as he wants to be like his dad but also resets how he is never going to be his own individual person but always "the monkey king's son." And what makes it worse he feels guilty for his resentment because he loves his dad and his dad loves him so he chooses to never talk about his feelings and just buries them until perhaps a very emotional confrontation.

He has a self-sacrificing nature that he feels he has to be perfect for the family. As the oldest (despite them all being the same age) he felt he needed to be the responsible one and therefore took on his training in combat the most seriously. He tries desperately to give all a laid-back attitude to imitate his dad but honestly, he is an anxious mess one minor inconvenience away from a breakdown.

He's a sweet boy that is too mature for his age and grew up too fast. Wukong worries about him a lot as he wants his boy to feel comfortable to be himself. Also he looks up to Shancai a lot because while his siblings see Paramita as the oldest, Paramita sees Red Boy as his own big sibling that he can rely on.

Paramita introduction AU

Part 1

context: In this AU, this is how Paramita would meet the gang. Paramita and his siblings live in lantern city with Paramita as the king of lantern city. Paramita and his siblings are all married with kids and desendants who refer to themselves as the Sun clan (based off of The sun clan from the chinese anime, Daily life of the immortal king, where one of the characters originated from the sun clan who are known as the descendants of sun wukong), The Sun clan live in an extremely isolated and large island. Only members of the sun clan or those who have married into the sun clan can enter the Island.

on to the au:

The AU starts with mk disappearing and leaving a note saying that he's going somewhere

Mei: *shouts happily* hey mk!

Mei: *looks around but doesn't see mk* umm guys, where's mk?

Pigsy *still washing the dishes*: oh, the kid left a note earlier saying that he was gonna go somewhere and that he'll be back tomorrow

Mei: well that's weird, how come I didn't hear anything about it?

Pigsy: he seemed like he was on a rush, so he asked me to tell you

Mei: but he could've just sent a text

Tang *eating noodles*: maybe he forgot

Mei: okay but it's sorta suspicious that he didn't tell us where he was going

Sandy: come on mei, mk wouldn't get himself into trouble without us knowing. besides, what if monkey knows where he is

wukong *barges in the noodles shop disguised*: does anyone know where mk is?

Mei: why?

wukong: because he told me he was going somewhere but didn't tell me exactly where, seems suspicious

Mei: if mk didn't tell you, then there really is something going on. That settles it, were gonna go and find mk. but where are we gonna look

Macaque: I can help you out *coming out the wall through the shadows*

wukong (glaring at macaque)

Mei: how?

Mac: earlier today, I heard mk going somewhere and it seemed like he was heading to Lantern city. the place where you guys participated in that talent competition.

Sandy: oh yeah. And I really liked our performance

Tang: mhm *nodding in agreement*

Mei: then were going back to Lantern city

This blog summarizes all the activities of the CUNY - India Climate Collaborative US State Department/US Consulate Hyderabad, India funded public diplomacy grant award to Principal Investigators (PIs) Prof. Neal Phillip and Paramita Sen of Bronx Community College (BCC) of the City University of New York (CUNY). The PIs installed 6 weather stations in Orissa (Sri Sri University & XIM University), Andhra Pradesh (Vignan IIT), and Telangana (Anurag University, JNT University, Meridian Schools), to conduct climate change literacy workshops for over 5,000 participants using Collective Social Learning/Thematic Communication techniques. The project dates in India were September 15 - September 30, 2022. A team comprising of PIs Phillip and Sen, BCC President Thomas Isekenegbe, CUNY CREST Institute Executive Director, Dr Reza Khanbilvardi, CUNY CREST Institute Deputy Director, Dr Shakila Merchant, and CUNY CREST Institute Senior Scientist Dr Tarendra Lakhankar accompanied PIs Phillip traveled to India September 15 - 30, 2022 to execute the program. In the three months prior to the travel to India, PIs Phillip and Sen logged over 100 hrs of Zoom meetings, phone calls and Whatsapp messages with the US Consulate Hyderabad POC, Mr Salil Kader, with Mr Prakash Rao (Telangana Prakash), Chair of the Telangana State Water Resources Development Corporation, with Dr Snehal Donde (chair of SKECT Women Water Warriors), with Dean Satpathy of Sri Sri University, with Prof. Sabina Mary Peters of XIM University, with Dr. V. Madhusudhan Rao (Rector of Vignan IIT), with Dr Usha Reddy of Meridian Schools, with Prof. S. Ramachandram (Vice-Chancellor Anurag University), with Prof. Katta Narasimha Reddy (VC - JNT University). Though the grant was for just one year, the US Consulate - Hyderabad was impressed with the outcomes and have doubled the funding for a Phase II of the project in 2023.

how in the dream novel does wk have 5 sons with pif but the first son never met him?

Considering that it is a dream it doesn't make much sense, perhaps there could be an argument that Wukong just met with Princess Iron Fan after each child was born and didn't intact with them personally. Which would be quite strange but this is supposed to be the "bad timeline" kind of universe so perhaps it was to kinda follow that?

Personally, I have a headcanon that is far less likely but one I enjoy far more.

That being they were quintuplets.

Like Wukong just knocked her up once in her tummy and that was it, he would like child support from afar but like never really really wanted kids. That to me is 1. Funnier to think he only jumped in her belly once and has like 5 kids now and 2. goes with the wackiness of the dream-like realm. There is a very low chance that anyone would think to have five kids at once even in fiction but to me, Wukong having quintuplets off the bat in a bad dream is peak comedy.

Sorry just realized something funny about the Shadowpeach pregnancies.

First it was one (MK), then two (Eclipse Twins) and now three (Lunar Node Triplets). Maybe it is a good thing they are not interested in having any more magical pregnancies, if this keeps up they will be having quadruplets or quintuplets.

Haha! It was more a happy accident on my part XD

But yeah, Shadowpeach best be careful making more kids in the future. The "Buy 1, get 2 Free" situation with the Lunar Node Triplets have probably made them more wary when planning for future infants.

I wanted Macaque's little toyline shadow clones/Eclipse Twins (LMK) to be their kids, then I wanted the non-canon Yuebei Xing and ofc I had to include her brothers Jidu and Luohou (all three from "Journey to the South") cus they're so cool.

There are other "unofficial" kids of Sun Wukong in extended Journey to the West-inspired media that I wouldn't really count tho.

King Pāramitā (+4 unseen brothers) from "A Supplement to the Journey to the West" - set between an alternate timeline of Chapters 61 and 62 where Tripitaka gets kidnapped by a time traveller (even in 1640 people were pulling that trope) that somehow convinced him to give up the pilgrimage. King Pāramitā and his four brothers were apparently concieved when SWK accidentally got PIF knocked up when he transformed himself into a stomach bug/parasite in order to extort the Fan from her (Chapter 59 of JttW). I find that situation a bit too uncomfy/medically inaccurate so no. If anything I'd give Ironbull the bonus five kids, and that Pāramitā was the result of SWK accidentally lifting a curse from the couple - like when parents joke that their kid's "true parent" was a bottle of alcohol.

And since LMK's MK himself is likely a whole reference to Sun Luzhen from "Later Journey to the West" (17th century), it would be a little redundant to make a Sun Luzhen kid. Does give my Wukongverse idea of each of the SWKs having an "MK" weight tho.

In hindsight; between my au Shadowpeach's bio and adopted kids, I accidentally gave SWK the "five sons" (MK, Rumble, Jidu & Luohou, + the adopted Chenxiang) he's said to have had in A Supplement. XD
