Do it for the (cell) culture (dish)
We're in the home stretch of the holiday season, folks. The egg nog will soon be taken from us, the wrapping paper is ready to be thrown in the back of the closet, and it is hopefully almost time for you to rest, relax and focus on yourself.
Just like those tiny organisms flourish in their nutrient-rich environment, we too bask in the joys of vegging out, allowing our stress levels to diminish and our spirits to thrive. Just as the cultures in the dish spread and develop, so do our holiday vibes, expanding with each delightful moment of indulgence, whether it's binge-watching favorite shows, savoring festive treats, or simply lounging in comfort. As the Petri dish cultures multiply and evolve, so do our holiday experiences, multiplying into delightful memories that enrich our lives like a blossoming experiment under the microscope of joyous moments.
Enough heavy-handed metaphors and similes. Let's get on with it.

I dropped one of my petri dishes with a mold culture in it and the spores flew absolutely everywhere. Everything in the lab was dusted with a coat of spores and I became mortified by how hard this would be to clean up.

🧫 Germs in a Petri Dish Shaker Charm
USD $14.00 -> International shipping available -> Calculated shipping
Acrylic petri dish shaker charm featuring 4 mini virus/bacteria pieces inside, Cholera (yellow), Staphylococcus (purple), Salmonella (orange), and Streptococcus (teal). The top layer of the charm represents the rim of the dish along with an inoculating loop while the lower layer represents agar gel.
With or without glitter! The glitter in the charm featured in the photos is the multicolor mixed glitter. If you want a mix of specific colors and/or have a preference on how much/little glitter to put inside, let me know in the personalization section. The charms CANNOT be opened back up once I assemble them.
Features a metal swivel lobster clasp and an easily removable chain. I don't recommend attaching it to things that see rough use like keys, as to avoid scratching the plastic.

Less than 2 weeks until my thesis defence and I'm a mess of anxiety so I took a self care day to do some crocheting.
Baby's first science kit for my friend's kid! Including interchangeable petri cultures and a bunsen burner!
