the playgirl diary guide to smelling good all day

1. Have good hygiene and shower daily.

Of course, this first step in smelling good all day long is good hygiene! No matter how many good sprays or lotions you use, if you don’t have good hygiene you still won’t smell good. I usually like to shower 1-2 times a day depending on what I’m doing. Brushing your teeth, washing your face, wearing clean clothes, etc, all of this is the most important step.

2. Layer your scents and be cohesive.

Layering your scents is one of the most important parts of having a long lasting scent. I wear scents that compliment eachother. This depends on my mood. If you want to smell like a cupcake, use birthday cake & vanilla products. Body wash, scrub, lotion, spray, & perfume. You don’t have to use every one of these, but if you do, make them cohesive. Avoid mixing smells. Don’t use pineapple body scrub then use a musky perfume, it won’t mix right. This will make you smell incredible & also help your scent last all day.

3. Don’t forget to include your hair.

This can be from your hair products, hair perfume / body spray, or a combination of both. I like to wash my hair a couple times a week, and then I also use the layering scent with my hair. I don’t use too much spray doing this, but I like to spray my hairbrush or hair directly with something that compliments my smell for the day.

4. Carry scents with you to reapply.

This could be good smelling hand sanitizer, hand cream, rollerballs and/or mini sprays! These are great for when you’re going out & always help keep the scent all day. It’s very important to reapply.

5. That’s it, now you’re smelling sweet all day! 🎀
