Ill talk about it more actually on stream as I feel like whenever I post something on other sites it just causes more discourse because of how the site works and I feel like this reaches a good amount of my community. Its really really hard to like call out specific behaviors online because a lot of the time it just ends up putting the idea in people's heads and ends up making some problems worse. Basically i've said this before and I know sadly im probably going to have to say it again but dont send people racist things or harass them simply because you dont agree with something they say about me? Like I really dont take any criticism of my content to heart because I understand that it isnt for everyone! And thats okay! No ones content is ever for everyone and people are allowed to have a negative opinion and I welcome people who watch me to say "hey I think you could have done this better" as it allows me to improve? If you actually cared about my content enough to do those awful things you would actually allow criticism. Like I dont know what more I can say at this point and I know me doing this isnt going to get anything to stop simply because the people doing this are idiots. Please if you dont like something someone says about me just ignore it! If you really dont like it then block them! Internet arguments are useless 90 percent of the time and only lead to the people involved just feeling worse! So maybe instead of like harassing people because of an opinion they have about me, just post something else! Dont make random arguments from tiny things! so the big one is across enemy lines by JewishDaveyJacobs - davey returning to school isnt the big focus on this one, as he is able to graduate early to go into working for pulitzer, but it does capture what i love seeing in fics like this; not only is davey out of place at school, but his return to school creates a rift that leaves him out of place with the newsies AND his family. it really captures just how far davey would go to provide for the people he loves, losing his sense of self entirely, living only to work - but it also shows how much of a flaw that is, how much daveys pride and will to provide entirely by himself leaves him isolated. its pretty heavy on the davey torment but thats what i like and i really do think this author understands how best to hurt a character: all the hatred, stress and anxiety daveys faced with every day as being a student, being a union VP and having to bear the burden of providing for his family while sacrificing his own self feels very realistic to me. its an incredible character study and i really do consider it a fandom staple. trigger warning for antisemitism as that does come up a fair bit.

then there's i'll soak 'em if you ask (that's why i don't ask) by shipNslash, another personal favourite of mine. its part 2 of their 'what a pair' series (and i do encourage you read the first part, 'and i ain't even wearing a tie', as its wholesome as hell and is what i'd consider a perfect javid dynamic) but it can be read as a standalone. its a 5+1 of times jack saw davey being harassed and wanted to help vs 1 time davey didnt need help at all, and it really does capture daveys character perfectly. davey is not helpless - he just understands how the game is played. he knows he cant stop the harassment he faces or else he'll face more consequences, but this doesnt make him weak. davey is the one saving the day in this fic. davey is the one taking care of himself - but hes also able to let his guard down and allow jack to support him without going straight to defensiveness. what i love about this author is that they capture the javid dynamic in the way i love, where they dont fit together away but graft against each other, pushing and pulling away until they understand how to provide what the other needs from them. i love that kind of dynamic - not perfect in the sense that its flawless right off the bat, but perfect in the sense that they love each other so much that they will put the work in. both of them get to check themselves and come to terms with their own issues - its refreshing to see, and it culminates in my favourite javid fic ending ever.

i have had OTHER TRANS PEOPLE tell me im probably not even trans, and if i lost weight id probably not have dysphoria anymore. how often have i heard other trans people say something about a hypothetical "fat hairy trans woman" (usually in the context of "even non-passing trans women deserve love support and validation) as if being fat automatically makes her less of a woman? and don't even get me started on the way people react to the idea of a fat trans man, as if the only way someone could be authentically trans is if they naturally have a fast metabolism and a body that doesn't store fat on the hips and chest.

I guess I can't ship my player character in mass effect with any of the alien love interests either because theyre not human then. fml

My legendary pokemon muses are to be considered people. Because that's what I write them as. That also means that some of them will engage with human characters in romantic situations. If you don't like that, you aren't required to follow, and I ask you to simply hardblock me so you save me the anxiety and hassle over trying to rid you of my dashboard.

I completely understand if someone is uncomfortable with that idea (shipping with inhuman characters in general). But you can just block me and my ship partners and move the fuck on. If youre being blocked by someone because you use guilt tripping, abusive rhethoric and block evasion or because you question someones sanity or mental state because they ship with my inhuman muses, then you're being the problem here.
