(Gonna use Queen B MC's default name because fucking Bea is a perfect name for her)
I have so much to get off my chest about this rn -> i'm chewing through my bars
!!! So the thing about Queen B is that there's only two LIs right? But Bea gets the option to flirt with and sleep with a whole bunch of other people. And the difference between these two sets of choices are shown by the icon that appears when you have a romantic moment with them.
So for the two LIs any romantic/sexual moment is followed by a -> ❤️
And for casual flirting/hookups it's followed by a -> 👄
And in Book 1, you get multiple opportunities to romance the two LIs but only about a couple opportunities per character to flirt with the other characters
And then, in Book 2, suddenly, this changes! Suddenly, you're getting almost as many chances to flirt with/sleep with Poppy (Bea's arch fucking enemy) as you are to romance the two LIs. But still her icon firmly remains as 👄.
Because she's not a Love Interest. Bea and Poppy hate each other. They're constantly trying to ruin each other's lives in the most Evil ways possible. At most they're enemies-with-benefits having a hatefuck to work out the tension. Bea straight up just Evil Laughs while thinking about killing Poppy using her bare hands on a regular basis
But then,
But Then, it starts becoming obvious that they're having fun together. Whether they're plotting the other's ultimate downfall or just sniping at each other this is fun for them. Bea accuses Poppy of never having met anyone more interesting & fun than her, and Poppy accuses Bea of being obsessed with her. And they're both right.
And then Bea starts joking about Poppy being in love with her, which Poppy never outright denies
And then Poppy compares Bea to a dog follwing her around, and Bea cheerfully reminds Poppy that she likes dogs, and not only does Poppy not deny it, she agrees by saying she's always had a thing for strays
And then Poppy starts saying insanely romantic things while they dance together, like how Bea makes her more herself/ths best version of herself (more cunning, manipulative and straight up evil of course)
And then Bea starts calling Poppy adorably cute nicknames like "Pop" and "Poptart" (while obviously ruining her life of course)
And then at one point when Bea teases Poppy about liking her and gets a scoff in return the achievement that pops up is "De-nial isn't only a river"
But through this all, it's still 👄. Because it's not Romance. They're still gleefully trying to tear each other down to use the other as a stepping stool to their own success. There's no actual Romantic feelings here, right? They're just flirting with their enemy as one more thing they can hold over the other. They're just flying a little too close to the sun.
And then at the end of Book 2 if you choose Bea's final moments after the gala to be spent with Poppy, you skip ahead to the graduation;
Rightfully, this should be It for Poppy & Bea. The last day they see each other. They don't ever have to meet again. Not after all the horrible things they've done to each other. Nothing binds them.
There are reasons why Bea will still be involved with the two Actual LIs because Zoey is her best friend & partner in crime, and Ina/Ian has instant sexual chemisty with her and is fully in love with Bea whether or not you choose any romantic options for them. There's nothing like that binding Poppy to Bea. Because even if they do have fun together they also spend an awful lot of time wishing to never see the other again - and now there's no more excuse left for them.
There's a difference between ❤️ & 👄 characters, and it's made obvious from the beginning that there's nothing more to 👄 options, there no strings attached at all. So that's the end.
Unless, Bea spends her last moments of the gala with Poppy.
Because then, during her graduation speech she starts talking about the most important person to her in Uni, the one who made the biggest impact in her life, the one she can't let go of, and it's Poppy. And it's all said with a sincere yet mocking edge to it, because that's what they's like. And Poppy is fucking furious. And where Bea & the LIs would have exchanged "I love you"s here, Bea & Poppy exhange a "I loathe you"
And then you know what happens, you know what fucking happens!!???
A Fucking ❤️ pops up and the entire series just ends.
Do you see why I'm tearing my hair out!???? The end of the fucking Queen B series is the start of Bea x Poppy's actual romance. It's an open ending for them and the only thing you can do is imagine where they go from here and it's beautiful. They're always gonna be plotting to destroy the other and they're always gonna daydream about the other's death by their hand but now they're going to do it while falling in love.

______________________________________________________________
Over the past few weeks, her and Bea had become unlikely friends. It started with just accidentally running into each other in the campus library. They steered clear of each other for the most part at the beginning, but then late one night, one of her heels broke as she was leaving.
She tripped, dropping all her books in the process. Bea being the “good girl” that she was, came over to help her. She even offered to let Poppy wear her shoes until she made it home. Of course, Poppy refused at first, but then the thought of walking barefoot all the way back to the Zeta house made her reconsider.
So, Bea walked her all the way home. Poppy was literally walking in her shoes while Bea was in socks. Her rival tried making small talk with her, but she wouldn’t budge, staying silent the whole way.
It wasn’t until they got back to Zeta house that she spoke. “As much as it pains me to say this. Thank you for letting me borrow your shoes” she said. Bea just laughed a little “You’re welcome. And just so you know, I’m not as bad as I seem once you get to know me”
Poppy doesn’t know why, but there was something in that laugh that made her take pause. Made her think that maybe there was more to this girl than met the eye. She couldn’t let Bea know that though. Could never let anyone know that she had misjudged. So instead, her pride had her spitting out “I highly doubt that” as she started making her way inside. “This was a one-time thing farmville. It’ll never happen again”
Except it did. Bea kept walking her back home. Every time trying to get a conversation going, much to Poppy’s annoyance. However, since they usually had these walks from the library so late at night with no one to see them, she tolerated it. She tolerated it every day until she noticed that she actually looked forward to their late-night walks.
She started engaging in conversation more. They started talking about classes at first but then the subject would change to what kind of music they liked, which books they loved. And Poppy loved every second of it.
The walks became their own little secret. Something that no one else knew about. It became an unspoken rule that they would act normal around the other students at Belvoire. Keeping their rivalry for top spot alive. Occasionally, they would text each other, but that was still something new.
Which is why it isn’t unusual for Poppy to start reaching for her phone to text the girl. That is, until she suddenly hears Bea’s voice, the sound stopping her movements.
She can tell someone is with her. She can hear the giggling and the shushing coming from just a few rows down. Poppy is holding a copy of the book that her walking buddy had so enthusiastically recommended.
At first, she just thinks that Bea is with Zoey. Until she hears a different voice instead. “Come on Bea. This isn’t funny” It can’t be she thinks. Her mind races because there is no way that voice belongs to who she thinks it does.
Quietly, she makes her way over to the end of the row. Trying her best to sneak a peek from behind the bookshelves, she finds Bea on one of the couches, straddling none other than professor Kingsley. “I don’t think we need that book anymore, do you Ina?”
Ina? So, they are on a first name basis she thinks. Poppy watches as Bea and professor Kingsley play out their little punishment games. There’s an ache in her chest, one that she can’t quite place. All she knows is that she can’t stay here anymore. She needs to leave.
She starts making her way out until she realizes she’s still holding the book that Bea recommended. The cover for “Criers War” staring back at her. Poppy was a little excited when she first walked into Bindings, wanting to read the book they talked about. Looked forward to reading it and then talking about it with Bea on one of their walks but now… She wanted nothing to do with it. Leaving the book on a random shelf, she storms out and heads home.
Poppy feels like she might throw up and her heart is pounding a mile a minute. She’s never felt anything like this before. She can’t explain this feeling. It almost feels as if her heart is breaking. But it couldn’t be that. Could it?
She stops, replaying every encounter she’s had with Bea over the past couple of months. The way her insides would warm whenever Bea laughed, or the way she started to do anything just to see that smile form on her stupidly adorable face. How her guilt would dissipate after a reassuring glace from Bea’s blue eyes after she made a comment she feared went too far.
She couldn’t pinpoint the exact moment but, she had slowly fallen in love with the farmgirl. What a sick joke she thinks. The first time she ever truly falls in love and the girl is playing teacher’s pet. The image of Bea and professor Kingsley still burned fresh in her mind.
Tonight. She would give herself tonight to feel the full weight of the heartbreak. Then tomorrow, she would go right back to how things were before she fell.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Almost a month had passed since she saw Bea in the library with the professor. It was easy to fall back into the flow from before of hating Bea. Insulting her and bringing her down any chance that Poppy had.
At least, that’s what she wishes she could say. Wished it was easy to see the confusion on Bea’s face when Poppy no longer went to the library to study. Wished it was easy to see the hurt in Bea’s eyes as the insults Poppy threw at her hit closer and closer to home. Wished it was easy to see Bea and professor Kingsley interact so innocently with each other around campus, knowing that behind closed doors something else entirely was happening.
Wished that keeping her distance from Bea wasn’t one of the hardest things she’s had to do.
One night while trying to study for an upcoming exam, Poppy had to fight the urge to scream at her house mates more than once. Usually, she could handle the loud obnoxious noises that would seep into her room, able to block out whatever her sisters where doing. Tonight however, their loud chattering was getting on her last nerve.
Chloe ended up being the straw that broke the camels back as she came barreling into Poppy’s room. “Omg, you like totally have to check out this guy!” she said, shoving her phone in Poppy’s face. With a stern glare thrown her way, Chloe stepped back. “Chloe, sweetie” the annoyance laced Poppy’s voice like venom. “I truly could not care any less about whatever buffed up frat boy you’ve decided to obsess over this week.” She stood, collecting her things knowing that if she stayed, she wouldn’t be doing any studying. “So, excuse me while I go and get some actual work done” She passed Chloe, not giving her a second glace and missing the quiet “Sorry Poppy” that came from her.
She headed straight for the library, figuring that she would be able to get at least a few hours of studying done before it closed for the night. Approaching the library, she was grateful at how empty it was. She’d be lying if she said that a certain blonde didn’t pop into her head when she had made the decision to come to the library. She knew that there would be no way she could handle seeing Bea alone. She didn’t want to.
Especially not here. The library had become a place she held close to her heart. Somewhere she sought comfort, simply because she knew Bea would be there. But now. Now it was tainted with the memory of Bea and Professor Kingsley.
Her hand reached for the door, only hesitating for a second. She didn’t want to be here, but there was nowhere else she could think of to study. Pulling open the door, she tried clearing out all thoughts of Bea so she could get to work.
Poppy took only a few steps before she felt someone lightly grab her arm, stopping her from moving. Turning, she was met with the worried look of Bea’s face. “Hey, I’ve been calling out your name. Did you not hear me?”
No, she hadn’t. She was so worried about running to her, that Poppy hadn’t even realized that Bea was calling out her name. “Poppy?” she asked. Hearing her name come from Bea brought the pain she had been feeling to the forefront of her being, and she felt her senses becoming overwhelmed.
The lights in the library were too bright, the whispers of the few patrons around them seemed too loud. The warmth coming from Bea’s hand as it still held onto her felt like fire on her skin. She pulled away, needing to break the contact. “Don’t touch me” she spat out, moving to push pass Bea and leave the library. She could study another time. Right now, she needed to leave.
“Poppy wait” Bea followed her out. “Hey, I need to talk to you, wait”. She kept moving, not wanting to hear anything that Bea had to say. She just focused on getting back to Zeta house, on getting away from Bea.
She stopped short as Bea cut in front of her. “Poppy, talk to me. What’s wrong?” the pleading in her voice almost made Poppy break right there. She wanted to let lose all the emotions she had felt since seeing Bea and Kingsley, but she couldn’t let Bea see her like that. Couldn’t let her seem weak.
“Nothing’s wrong farmville. Just get out of my way” she tried to continue to the house, but Bea stopped her again. “No, not until you tell me what’s going on”. She wasn’t letting it go. Poppy pushed again. “Get out of my way Bea” but the girl stayed rooted to her spot in the same way a strong tree stays rooted in the midst of a storm. “Poppy talk to me. You’ve been avoiding me for weeks now” Bea’s face softened. “I’ve missed you. Missed our walks”.
Missed her? Bea had missed her. Probably just as much as Poppy had missed her. A certain warmth made its way through Poppy, the thought that Bea had actually missed her made her feel wanted in a way she’d never known before. The feeling was short lived as flashes of Bea and Professor Kingsley flooded her memory. The coldness was back and Poppy couldn’t help the words that spilled from her. “Please, how could you possibly miss me? Seems you have been too busy with Ina to care”
She reveled in the cycle of emotions that crossed Bea’s face. Confusion, realization, fear, panic, hurt. Poppy drank it all in, as if Bea’s pain would be the only thing to remedy her own.
“You know?” she asked softly. Poppy scoffed “Know what? That you’ve been screwing one of the professors?” Bea flinched at the harshness of Poppy’s voice. “I’d be more careful when hooking up in the library.”
Bea finally looked away, her eyes falling to the floor. “Poppy, it’s not like that with Ina. We were just- “ Poppy cut her off. “I don’t really care what you and Ina do, just stay out of my way and we won’t have a problem” she tried leaving again, but Bea was right there to stop her. “But you do care. You wouldn’t be avoiding me if you didn’t”
You do care. The words spinning over and over in her head. You do care. You do care. She could feel the grip on her emotions slipping. She needed to leave, or get Bea to leave. “I could not care less about you” a lie of course, one that tasted bitter in her mouth.
“You don’t mean that” Bea tried her best not to look hurt, but Poppy could see it affected her. Still, Bea pushed on. “Poppy, I know you feel something between us, you can’t deny it” Her patience with Bea was running thin “Aw, did things not work out with Ina? Looking for a rebound? You won’t find it here”
That was it. That snapped Bea. “Are you kidding me Poppy!? You know you’re more than that to me!” The sudden outburst took her back and her eyes widened at Bea’s almost confession. “What I had with Ina was fun, but it wasn’t real” she grabbed Poppy’s hands in her own. “Not like this. Not like us.”
Poppy stood there frozen, unsure what to say. “Poppy the things I feel with you are so strong that sometimes it feels like I might explode. This past month that you’ve been avoiding me have been hell. I can feel your absence like a weight that’s pressing down on my chest and I, I” Bea hesitated. “Poppy” taking a deep breath her eyes met Poppy’s. “Poppy Min-Sinclair I think I might just be in love with you”
It took her a second to process just what Bea had said. Did I hear her right? Bea just admitted to loving her. Something Poppy had only dreamed about, something she hadn’t dared to even think to entertain but… but Bea is looking at her with so much love and conviction that all doubts and thoughts that what Bea just confessed might not be true faded. She could only imagine how she must look, because suddenly Bea’s face is worried. “Listen it’s ok if you don’t feel the same. We can just be friends, just please, please stop avoiding me I can’t handle it anymore” she rambles.
Poppy just stands there staring at her, still taking in everything. Bea shifts on her feet, the nerves getting the best of her. “Poppy say something please” she begs, and Poppy can think of nothing cuter. She gentle cups Bea’s face and leans in pressing their lips together.
Bea surrounds her, filling up every space and overwhelming every sense that Poppy has in the best possible way.
They finally pull away, resting their foreheads against each other, taking deep breaths. In this moment of just them, everything is peaceful. Everything feels just right in Poppy’s world. From the way their heads are pressed together, to how Bea’s hands fit in her own, to how they moved against each other during the kiss. As if they were simply made to fit together.
Bea breaks the silence first. “So, I guess this means you feel the same?” Poppy just softly laughed as she said “You’re so dumb”. Bea just shrugged, “Maybe, but at least I have you. I do have you right?” Poppy took a moment to really think about it. Feelings aside, she needed to make sure things with Ina really were over. “There may be a few things we should talk about more” she smiled. “But yes, you have me.”
Bea smiled before kissing her again, and Poppy was sure she wound never tire of the feeling. Once they parted, Bea gently squeezed her hand and said “Can I walk you home?” Poppy could think of nothing better. “I would love if you did” she said, feeling peace wash over her for the first time in a while.
The two of them walked along the same path to Zeta house, catching up on everything they had missed in the time apart. Poppy couldn’t help thinking how easy it was to fall right back into the comfortable conversations, and she couldn’t wait to see what the future held for them.

Author's Note: This story includes family drama, mysteries, slight homophobia, and GAY ROMANCE!! If you don't like it. Don't Read It. Based on my headcanon for the ending of QB Book, 2 cause PB sucks. Didn't have time to edit...too much school work...
"It's Now or Never"
After I got home. I was surprised to see my parents waiting for me outside the gate mansion, with smiles on their faces.
I haven't seen them this happy since we left Farmville.
"Bea, Anak. I'm so proud of you." My mom came rushing to me giving me a crushing hug. While my dad followed after.
"I heard from Sebastien, that you graduated as Summa Cum Laude. Congratulations! Sweetie. I'm proud of you." Am I hearing things or is this some kind of dream? My father whom I haven't spoken to in nearly two years came to congratulate me on the day of my graduation.
When my dear Aunt Bella passed away. Dad was devastated about losing his only twin sister. They were inseparable, even when he got married. Their relationship as siblings remained stronger than ever. Now that she was gone. My Dad immediately took over my aunt's company, with the help of my mom to continue her legacy.
Both of my parents graduated with a business degree in the same institution in Europe where they met and fell in love. When I was born they decided to migrate to the U.S and start a new life. Soon, my aunt followed to expand her business and help my family with the farm.
Growing up my aunt was pretty much involved with my life. She would frequently visit us whenever she wanted. She never got married nor have any kids. Instead, she spends her time showering me with lavish gifts on my birthday, telling me tales about her and dad as kids, and strangely hires a very strict private tutor to teach me about proper etiquette and manners for young ladies. I was even taught how to do martial arts, just in case, I got in a bad situation. Naturally, I passed with flying colors, even if I hated taking those lessons I did it for my aunt. After everything she's done to help me and my family, it's the least I could do.
Besides it's not like taking those lessons were in vain. It made me learn how to adapt and be smart around my surroundings, especially when I entered Belvoire University. Dealing with snobby, mean rich kids was a total pain in the ass. I had to fight and defend myself just so I could be on top. Once I was declared the new Queen B of Belvoire (More like the new student body president). I made sure to be fair with everyone, including the nerds and social outcasts.
Yeesh! That didn't sound right. I was once like them too. Maybe hanging out with the rich kids has been rubbing me off lately.
I only had one year to change things at Belvoir, since a certain she-devil made everyone grovel at her feet like some kind of goddess and messed up their lives if they dare to oppose her. And here I thought after dethroning Poppy from her position things would get easier for me, but nope another plastic poser...I mean new enemy has popped up out of nowhere to seek revenge against Poppy and take the throne for herself.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
X/Selene Mont- something,a.k.a Persephone Dalton.
The fake-ginger butchered her face with plastic surgery and faked her whole identity to destroy Poppy and unexpectedly me for her so called-revenge. I'll admit she's good at what she does but I was better. I played her own game against her by exposing her minions, her schemes, and turning her hacker into my ally. In the end, Persy's family opted to put her in therapy after her psychotic outburst at the Oculus Ball. Since then, her therapist and psychiatrist have deemed her "unstable" for the time being.
I kind of feel sorry for her.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My celebration was held at home. Nothing too fancy, just a simple family dinner with my parents. We've talked for hours, trying to make up for lost time. I discovered that my aunt's manufacturing company was thriving throughout the agribusiness community. In turn, I told them about the majority of my time at Belvoire, excluding all of my troubles and late-night rendezvous.
"Is that all?" My father looked me straight in the eye. I gulped looking sideways.
"Yes, sir no trouble or anything." I lied. He pinches the bridge of his nose and sighed.
"Bea, I know we haven't been the best parents lately, but we've always kept tabs on you"
My jaw dropped. What? But How? He must have seen my reaction.
"I have my ways, sweetie. Don't look so shocked." I felt heavier when my mom puts her hand around my shoulder.
"Beatrice Gomez Hughes." She called my full name with her sweet Filipino accent, indicating I'd done something wrong. My heart was beating fast and my head was beading with sweat. This woman was scarier than my father.
"I've heard you slept with one of your professors, not to mention hooking up with your other schoolmates; what if you got STD? And What is the T? Some kind of internet thing you used for clouts in social media?" Okay, she wasn't wrong there, her mother's instincts are spot on.
My mother breathe deeply, she looked guilty for some reason while giving me a stern look.
She wasn't done talking yet.
"And what's with you getting into fights with other people? You almost got expelled. If I'd known earlier I would've pulled you out of that school and transferred you to another university." I stayed silent as I nodded to all my mother's nagging.
"Relax mom, I made sure to use protection. For The T thing, it's simply a blog site for students to stay updated on the latest news and drama around campus. As for the fighting, I only did it to defend myself from bullies, they got what they deserved."Talking about my sex life with my parents was weird enough. Now opening up my past in Belvoir makes me want to sit up and leave the dining table. My father saw my discomfort and tried to console my mother.
"Stella, I think she's had enough. I, myself am dissatisfied with some of her recent activities, but she did well for herself. Remember where here to celebrate our daughter's graduation. She graduated Suma Cum Laude in her batch. Isn't that something to be proud of?"
My father gently massaged my mother's shoulder to ease her up. She sighed and breathe deeply.
"That's the problem with you Beau, you're too lenient with her." I gave my father a smile thanking him for rescuing me from mom's never-ending nagging.
"Don't think you're off the hook yet young lady. As punishment, you're prohibited to use the internet for a month." My jaw dropped.
Punishment? What am I four? And no internet for a month!? Hell no! How will I contact Poppy at this point that girl must be losing her marbles right now.
"Mom! One month is too much. I need a new phone and the internet to talk to a girl. It's an emergency."
"Not my problem. What happened to your phone?"
"I dropped it along the way, that's why I need a new one. Please this is important"
"That's perfect. No phone and internet for the whole month."
"Mom, you don't get it this is important to me." She eyed me with a questioning look on her face.
"How so?"
"Look I confessed and kissed a girl in front of everyone, and when you guys called I packed my things and leave immediately without saying goodbye to her," I explained, hoping she would reconsider my punishment.
"Alright, I'll lessen your sentence for only two weeks. Take it or leave it."
"Two weeks, but Mo--------" My mother glared at me.
"Fine two weeks then" I slumped down the chair in defeat.
"Now back to our topic. I believe this is the time to tell her Beau. She's old enough to know what's going on."
The atmosphere suddenly got heavier and serious than before.
"Bea, sweetie. There's something you need to know...about our family.
Sebastien was right. This was the biggest surprise that would change my life forever.
_____________________________________________________________
2 weeks later...
"Yes, Daddy I'm all set...Yes, everything is in check...Don't worry too much I've got everything under control...I promise I won't let you down...Okay... Bye, I love you." Poppy said as she hung her phone and tossed it in her queen-size bed, ever since graduation. She decided to move out of her parent's mansion and lived in a high-end apartment near her parent's working place.
Just about months ago, her father's company was on the verge of bankruptcy, her family struggled to pay their debts and Poppy feared she would no longer live the life she was used to, what she feared most was losing her main goal and that is to prove to her family, especially her father (more like step-father) that she was worthy of living up to the Min-Sinclair name.
She did everything she could to be perfect, to be everything she was expected to be as the heiress of both her family's company.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Flashback
When she was young she heard her parents fighting in the dining room, her mother solemnly cried while her father was shouting furiously at her, showing her a piece of paper.
"She's not mine, is she?"
"Piers, I can explain please calm down. Poppy will wake up."
"I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ANNA GIVE ME ONE REASON WHY I SHOULDN'T KICK YOU OUT RIGHT NOW!!" Her "father" slammed his hand on the table, gnashing in anger. Little Poppy never heard her father scream like that before. Usually, he would smile, bring her gifts, and act as the doting father he was.
"For Pete's sake Piers you're sterile. We've been trying to get pregnant for years. The doctors told me I wasn't the one with fertility issues, it's you." Hearing this enraged Piers, he grabbed the wine glass he was drinking and smashed it against the wall.
"HOW DARE YOU? AFTER EVERYTHING I'VE DONE FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY! YOU LIED TO ME! YOU CHEATED ON ME WITH A FUCKING NOBODY!"
"DON'T YOU TALK ABOUT ART LIKE THAT! AND DON'T YOU DARE YELL AT ME LIKE YOU DID NOTHING WRONG! I SAW YOU SLEEPING WITH ANOTHER MAN PIERS, A MAN! YOU'VE BEEN GAY THIS WHOLE TIME SINCE THE START OF OUR MARRIAGE! HOW WILL YOUR FAMILY REACT WHEN THEY LEARNED THAT THE GREAT PIERS SINCLAIR IS HOMOSEXUAL?"
This made Piers shut up.
Little Poppy gasped, as she listen to her parent's dispute.
".... POPPY NEEDS HER REAL FATHER, NOT YOU!" It broke Poppy's heart to know that Piers wasn't her real dad. She closed her eyes, desperately praying that this was all a nightmare, but it wasn't. She slowly opened her eyes and saw her "father" raise his hand ready to hit her mother, and that was when Poppy had, had enough.
".....You little-" Piers was about to slap Anna when-
"DADDY STOP IT!" When Piers noticed Poppy in front of him, he stopped.
"Please, Daddy stop. I don't want to see you and Mommy fight anymore." She said as she tried to wipe her tears away. Piers look ashamed and guilty for letting his anger get the best of him, he assumed Poppy heard everything and kneeled to her level.
"I'm sorry you had to see that, honey, whatever you heard from me and your mother means nothing. You're still my daughter. You're still a Min-Sinclair." He reassured her as he hugged her tightly and gently stroked his little girl's hair.
Anna silently cried. She felt ashamed for letting her daughter see them like this. She went to her family's side and apologized.
Since that day the family of three went into counseling and therapy to fix their relationship, and it worked for the most part. Piers and Anna reconciled and act as if nothing happened, and Poppy was relieved to have her family back. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned as Poppy hoped they would.
Years later, Piers rose to become one of America's most prominent businessmen. He prioritized his work over his family. He constantly pushes Poppy to do well in school, never associate with commoners, unless necessary, always be at top of the social hierarchy, and, most importantly, never tarnish the Min-Sinclair name.
Poppy took this by heart and followed her father's orders to be the 'perfect' daughter she was. Eventually, it took a toll on her mental health. She felt drained from her father's demands and expectations. He was more concerned with his reputation and social status rather than her well-being.
She decided to find her biological father since Piers wasn't acting like the father he was years ago. All the counseling and therapies they went through were wasted. She tried to convince Piers to return to counseling but he dismissed her, thinking it was a waste of time and money.
She sneaked into her father's office to get all the information she needs, regarding her biological father, when she finally did. She planned a trip to New Jersey to meet him, it didn't take too long before her parents believed her lies. So, she set on her journey to meet Art Nakumara.
When she arrived at her location, she was filled with apprehension and dread. She would meet the man she had wanted to see for years. So, why was she hesitating? After all the work she'd been through just to get here.
Poppy breathe deeply and was determined to introduce herself, she wanted to see his reaction if she wanted her or even think about her, she needed answers.
A handsome Japanese man in his late thirties stumbled upon a young girl who claims to be his daughter. He was confused at first, but he let the girl explain by showing him pictures, and documents to prove she was his. Once he was convinced he welcomed his daughter into his life.
Poppy was happy coming to New Jersey. She had a great time spending and getting to know her real father. He was more open-minded, kinder, and gentle than Piers. The next few days came to a blur when she had to go home, but before she left Piers gave her all his contact information, just in case something happens, and a necklace to remember him by. The father-daughter had a tearful goodbye and promise to stay in touch.
Once Poppy got home, her parents were waiting for her outside their home with disappointment and anger in their eyes, especially Piers. They found out that Poppy had lied to them and went to see her biological father in New Jersey. How did they know? Before Poppy would leave home, Piers hired a secret bodyguard to look after her. And of course, the bodyguard told Piers what Poppy was up to.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The family of three had a heated argument about this, Piers scolding Poppy and threatening to disown her if she ever sees him again, and Anna stayed silent, disappointed at Poppy for not telling them.
Haven't they fixed this problem years ago? Piers thought but he was unaware of Poppy's feelings. Poppy cried and promised her parents to never do something like that again. As punishment Poppy was grounded for months and wasn't allowed to be alone, without someone supervising her.
-------------------------------
Poppy's punishment was lifted, and she was free to roam around New York. However, she was still restricted from leaving the city without her parent's consent, just to ensure she doesn't pull another stunt as she did months ago, but that didn't stop her from writing to her biological father, via email and letters. Thank God, her parents were horrible at technology.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Present
It had only been a week since Poppy started working under her parent's tutelage, her parents showed her how things were done in their company. Mostly, it was how to deal with employees, wealthy business partners, clients, and possible investors. In just days she was accustomed to working at her parent's company, she did an incredible job managing the place. However, that wasn't the biggest challenge she had to face. Piers assigned her to take the lead in presenting their company to partner with one of the best directors in Hollywood for an upcoming film.
The meeting was a big success Poppy did her presentation flawlessly and convinced the director to work with them. She felt guilty all of a sudden, Piers doesn't have a clue that Poppy is contacting her biological father.
Piers was giving her the chance to show what she was capable of, and she exceeded beyond expectations. He was finally proud of her, she waited for this moment to come, and that's all she ever wanted, but the guilt is weighing her down.
Poppy flopped down in her queen-size bed, groaning in frustration, during these times she would text a certain brunette to come over to her dorm, for some important "matters". And in no time a tall girl would climb to her back window to make her feel better.
Whenever she was around Poppy always complained about her problems, she was always there to listen and sympathize with her, after they were done talking, they would end up in bed, clothes off, touching and kissing, fighting for dominance, due to her small stature she was always the bottom of their unique relationship, and surprisingly she didn't complain.
It became a routine for them, outside campus they were at each other's throats, inside her dorm they were enemies with benefits. That's how things were between them, nothing more than a fling, but deep down Poppy knew she wanted more.
Unfortunately, she was in denial of her feelings. Besides, Farmsville has reputation for being the school's idol/player, she's loved by students and faculties alike, and to be honest, who could blame them.
She was beautiful inside and out. She's the school's savior from her reign of tyranny, and she was always there helping people without expecting anything in return. She was selfless, kind, patient, diligent, and intelligent, she was like that to most people. However, she can be two-faced, depending on the situation she's in, and she's not afraid to play dirty if it meant protecting those she cared about.
For the past two years, she made her life a living hell to the point where she stoop so low to ruin her, despite her many attempts to bring Farmsville down she would always fight back and win in the end. However, she wasn't as cruel as her, when Farmsville learned her family's dirty secret she kept her mouth shut for her sake,
When she betrayed her, and hurt her, she would get revenge sure, but she wasn't evil. She was a goody-two-shoes saint who was the hero of the underdogs, and people love her.
Truth be told, she felt bad and remorseful, they were times she wanted to apologize to the younger girl, but she was too prideful. Farmsville was too forgiving, even if she was the cruelest person in the world, she believes that all people even the bad ones have good inside of them.
Any sane person would despise her by now, but she was different and it " infuriated" her.
Out of all the people she "dated" Farmsville was the only one who can handle her, and satisfy her. For some reason, Farmsvile can read her like an open book, and it feels like she's the only person who knows her and sees her for who she is: A vulnerable, lonely girl who wants to be appreciated.
She knows she wasn't the only person she slept with: There's Zoey, Veronica, Chloe, Luis, heck even her ex- Carter, Professor Kingsley, Plastic Fake Persy, and many more. She heard rumors that she was a "Sex Goddess" in bed.
A theory proved to be true by yours truly.
She felt jealous and angry that she wasn't the only one, wait why would she feel jealous? They weren't dating in the first place, her feelings were nothing to her, she only used her as one of her amusements, she was only a toy to be played with. After she was done with her she would find someone else to be her plaything.
She tried to convince herself many time that that's how she felt about Farmsville, but she knew better, she was confused with her feelings, and she didn't know what to do; it only got worse when Farmsville confessed in their graduation ceremony that "she was the one", Poppy being Poppy, turned red and denied everything, to prove Farmsville point she went down to the podium and kissed Poppy in front of the entire campus and whispered.
"Come on Poptart, we know this is what you want." She winked and went back to the stage to finish her speech. That was the last time she ever saw her, and speak to her.
Time went like a blur. After their graduation party, she suddenly left without saying a word to her. She called and texted her many times but there was no reply.
She went to Thomas and asked where Bea was, and he told her that her parents were calling her.
She asked Veronica, Chloe, and Carter, but they didn't know the full details of her so-called "emergency".
Next, she asked Zoey, she didn't know either.
Two weeks have passed and still no sign of Bea.
Veronica, Chloe, and especially Zoey have tried contacting her through social media, and her number, even they can't reach her. It's like she disappeared.
In just a short amount of time, things were changing too fast for Poppy. After graduation, she left Belvoire to start working for her parent's company. With the help of some secret business partners, her parent's company was saved from bankruptcy. Whoever they were Poppy's family was grateful to them.
For the past two weeks, Bea never left Poppy's mind. What did she mean by what she said back in their graduation ceremony? Was it a confession? Did she mean it? Even, after all, she put her through, did Farm Girl still want to be with her? She didn't know.
Poppy scrolled her phone digging through her Bea's Snapchat, Pictagram, and Tiktok. There was something about her social media account that made her feel a lot of things:
Jealous for seeing her flirt and make out with girls and boys in random places, well she is a player, but still, people keep coming back to her for more.
Awe and Attraction for seeing her pose like a professional model in one of Octavia Olivier's fashion show, she looked naturally beautiful (and handsome when she cross-dresses as a guy). Her figure was perfect not too skinny, nor fat. She was slender yet toned, and you can see her slightly defined abs when she worked out. She was tall about 5'8ft tall or slightly taller, the way she threads her short wavy brown hair, and the way she looks at the camera with her hazel eyes. God! her eyes were too mesmerizing and hypnotic.
And Sadness, loneliness, anger, and bitterness, were piled up in a bucket of emotions.
That's all she knew about Bea, but Bea knows more about her than her own self. To Poppy, Bea was still a mystery to her. She only knew the Bea from Belvoire. What was she like before and after she came to New York? She wanted to know.
It was already evening when Poppy realized she'd been thinking about Bea again.
"Shit! It's past eight, I better get the papers done before Daddy sends me another one tomorrow." She went out of her bed to get ready for work when all of a sudden her phone rang.
"Who would call me at this hour?". She went to her bed and picked up her phone. It was a random number.
"What the-? What is this some kind of prank?" Poppy had no time for jokes. She answered her phone with an annoying voice.
"Whoever the hell you are I don't have time for any of your-" Her heart dropped when she heard that familiar voice with a slight Midwestern accent.
"Hey! Pops you need to work on your anger and here I thought I was going to give you a surprise call."
Seriously!? After contacting her for two weeks and leaving her behind, she has the nerve to suddenly call her out of blue? Didn't Farm Girl know she sobbed her eyes out every night thinking she deserted her?
Poppy inhaled and exhaled to calm herself, it was only two weeks, yet it felt like forever. It was now or ever, Farm Girl will hear a lot from and she means "a lot" so her ears would bleed.
Author's Note: Sorry it took a while, chapter 3 and 4 are on the way.

say are you gonna make ur 'Welcome to the Moving Castle' AU a real AU? It's a strange but rather interesting concept, and seeing all the other designs you have made for AUs, I can't wait to see with one.
Tripped a little on those last two words lmaooo. But uhhh
Should I? I'm not sure if I will or not ngl lmao. Ill probably make designs because I'm cool like that lmao
I sorta did start thinking about roles so.. djdbhdbd. And yeah, ik canonily in howls moving castle Sofie and Howl end up being a thingz but in this AU there will be no canon ships, so no romance between the howl and the sophie. That's up to interpretation lmao
Anyway, On with the roles. I'm probs gonna go by the Movie rather than the book because it's just a bit easier for me story wise.Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the book, but I have such a attachment to the movie I just can't. But it's kinda gonna be a mix like- The story will be like the movie's, but who ever is Micheal is still gonna be older than he is in the movie.
Anyway roles
Wally is Howl!
Home is the Moving Castle
Eddie is Markl/Micheal
Sally is Calcifer lmao
Barnaby is Percival (the Dog man thing *shrug*)
Poppy is the scarecrow/ turnip head :D
Julie is probably Sofie
Jonesy is probably Lettie
Franny is probably Martha
Bea is probably Fanny Hatter (yes I know Bea is her sister, and Fanny is Sophie's mom stfu)
Howdy will have a filler character made by yours truly. A merchant who is never to far from the castle?
Frank, I am so sorry my fellow Frank fans, but this MFER would be the witch/wizard/ WARLOCK?? of the waste :D yes that implies they put the curse on Julie shshshshsgssh
Yeah.

The day of graduation, you and Zoey move as fast as your six-inch heels will carry you on your way to the ceremony. "Would you slow down?" you say, eyes more on your own feet than on any of the big ceremony here for her (and the rest of the student body, of course). It doesn't help that her muscles still ache from a night spent with Poppy, and then from staying up just thinking about it.
Zoey looks back at you with a wide smile, somehow not missing a single step. "I can't, Mom's got me on a tight schedule. Graduate by noon, day drink at the afterparty until dusk, and then the tour bus leaves at midnight."
"Don't tell me she's coming on the road with you."
Zoey's eyes go wide in horror. "God, no. Bunk beds and crappy dive bar food with no one to talk to but each other sounds like the set up for an episode of Snapped. But now that she's taking me seriously, she's showing me the tricks of the trade. We're meeting up in LA to prep for some label meetings." She leads the way up the stands and makes a beeline for Felicity who has, surprise, surprise, managed to secure the entire front row for herself.
"You're late," Felicity says, not looking up from her pamphlet.
"That's on me, Momma Wade," you say with a charming smile, on the off-chance she does glance over. "After everything we've been through, I'm having a little trouble saying goodbye to this place."
"You get used to it," says a familiar voice from behind you, and you turn to see Luis and Hayley climbing the bleacher steps. "Plus you get one hell of a reunion when you come back. I've only been gone a year, and my Alpha bros went nuts!"
With the same ditzy smile as her sister, Hayley adds, "OMG, I can't wait! Ohio still has no idea I'm here."
Zoey blinks rapidly a couple times, looking puzzled. "Wait...Hayley, if you graduated last year, shouldn't Ohio have graduated too?"
"People think that all the time, but I'm actually one minute older, so I get to do things one whole year before her."
That gets Felicity to look up at them at last. "Oh, honey. That is not how that works..."
"Maybe I could be of some assistance. After all, in another life, I was a professor."
"Ina!" Looking over your shoulder at the familiar voice, you see Ina following Luis and Hayley up the steps. "What're you doing here?"
Your old professor smiles, looking more relaxed than she has in months. "Celebrating the end of an era. The day that my students embark upon the world was always one of my favorites. Congratulations to you both."
"We won't be embarking on anything if they start without us. C'mon!"
Zoey hurries you down to the field, and before you split up to go to your seats, you give her a hug on the sidelines. "The next time I see you, we'll officially be one degree hotter."
"Like we need it," she says, beaming.
As you settle into your seat near the rest of the H's, Steinhelm takes the podium, looking every bit of 'let's get this over with'. With all the razzle dazzle of a kid's birthday party magician, she whips out her cue cards and starts to read verbatim. "'Graduates and honored guests, we've gathered here to celebrate the outgoing class of 2021--'"
Ford starts off the chaos, screaming, "Momma, we made it!"
All around you, the graduates start to cheer, and from the stands, you see Luis and some of the other returning Alphas raise their shirts to show 'GRADATES' spelled across their chests.
"That's not even spelled right!" Steinhelm says, mouth falling open in shock, somehow? This isn't even gonna be the worst thing to happen today, guaranteed.
Luis yells to the stage over the noise of the crowd. "Tripp's flight got cancelled. He was the 'U'."
Steinhelm's fingers blanch as they grip the sides of the podium, and you hear her heave a heavy sigh. In a quiet voice that still gets picked up by the mic, she says, "Stick to the script, Marguerite. It's almost over. Ahem. 'This year's crop of graduates are some of the brightest, most amazing trailblazers--'"
"Byew byew byew!" Carter yells, clearly having the time of his life.
You're hardly going to pass up an opportunity to let loose before college ends, so you join in with a loud whoop.
"That's it!" Steinhelm balls up her cue cards and throws them in the crowd, hitting Clint Burton in the face, full-force.
"Ow, my eye!"
"You wanna know the truth? I hated every second of this year! Namely because I was undermined at every turn! I cancelled the Person to Watch Award and shut down that awful blog...seconds later, it was back and worse than ever!"
Chloe raises her hand, as though there's the slightest chance of her being called on, and then starts talking anyway. "Okay, but, like, without The T, how else were we supposed to know who we're better than?"
Ignoring her, Steinhelm continues, "I banned parties, and the Alphas threw the biggest rager Belvoire's ever seen--"
"Oh, BTDubs, I talked to the national chapter, greased a few palms, and they told me to tell you...'suck it'," Liam says, trademark smarmy grin on his face.
The brothers whoop and cheer, and you watch as Steinhelm's existential crisis sets in. "I give up. You're all just a bunch of spoiled brats that are going to make the world a worse place...and the only saving grace is that I'll be dead long before any of you affect the world in any meaningful way. Now, in an effort to get you off of my campus as quickly as possible, allow me to introduce the student you voted as class speaker..." She rips open an envelope perched on the podium with the soulless, glazed-over gaze of a woman who got into education to make a difference. "And...of course, it's Bea Hughes."
Sweet.
The crowd erupts in cheers and applause as she sulks over to the chair waiting for her on the stage, and you make your way to the podium. "You all voted for little ol' me? Oh, you shouldn't have!"
Poppy jumps up from her seat and storms the stage, ripping the mic away from you. "We didn't. This 'vote' was faker than Ohio's bottom lip!"
"Well, I did," Carter says with a smile. "Bea killed it this year!"
Emi sits up to her full height to be seen over the rest of the crowd. "I voted for Bea too! She always knows what to say to soothe the savage beast within!"
"And who the eff are you?" Poppy hisses, nostrils flaring.
"...Emi Less? We had Stats together, and you told me to calculate the odds of you remembering my name?" She frowns. "...they weren't very high."
Erik interrupts her. "Bea! Bea! Bea!"
The chant slowly picks up speed until the entire crowd is cheering for you to take the stage. And you can't let your adoring audience down, now can you? "Sorry, Pop. The people have spoken." You grab hold of the mic and then give Poppy a shove before you can think too much about it, sending her over the stage's edge and right into Clint Burton's lap.
"Ah, my nuts!"
Jeez, overshare, much? You wait for the crowd to settle before looking out at the sea of your peers. "I've spent most of this year hunting down haters and making them own up to why they didn't like me. Most of them were full of it...but after hearing their stories, I can't think of a better way to end my time here than by telling my side of things. Without a doubt, Belvoire introduced me to some of the worst people I've ever met."
Your eyes flick to Poppy, almost involuntarily, thinking back to your first meeting. First and last memory of Belvoire, indeed.
"But it also introduced me to some of the best." You smile at Zoey, who waves a hand like you're in The Princess Diaries at the crowd who turn to stare at her and get a picture for their Picta. "My first days on campus were practically perfect. I mean...who else can say they've danced with Jaylen Riaz and watched Poppy throw a hate-fueled tantrum?"
"I forgot about that! She was all--" Liam rushes into the aisle so everyone can see before throwing on his best scrunched-up Poppy face, taking his voice up an octave, and stomping his foot. "'No. No! Everyone, shut up! This is all some sick joke!'"
Carter's laughing a little too much to make his impression of himself convincing, but it's so charming, you're sure no one cares. "Hey, 'babe'! Did you like the performance? I really worked on my dancing--"
"'How dare you help her, you stupid, ugly, pathetic idiot! We're officially over!'"
Poppy's pushed herself off of Clint by now, and her face is flushed red with rage. "One more word, and you'll sound like that permanently, Gill."
"I even bonded with woman's best friend..." You open your purse, and Cutiepie pops his head out, eyes wide at the attention. He barks once, and the crowd melts.
"He's so cute!" Abigail coos, finally showing something other than love of all things gothic.
"But the longer I spent on campus, the more immersed I got in the inner workings of Belvoire. The takedowns and overzealous fans...no matter what came my way, I rose to every challenge." You pause, wondering whether you should mention the gala...but nothing that happened there was fun, not really, so you skip to the good part. "Not to mention when I kicked Poppy's ass and introduced her to the family of algae growing at the bottom of the fountain.
Trixie's mouth drops open. "Damn...I always knew Helena was a savage."
"Now that I think about it, this is the first year where there hasn't been a Person to Watch Award in the school's history..."
Steinhelm brightens at that. "That's right! Maybe I did manage to do some good this year--"
"Soooo I'll take it upon myself to crown one and continue this great tradition!"
"Never mind."
While Steinhelm silently has an aneurysm, you detach the mic from the podium and observe the crowd. Not like you need to; there's only one person here you'd even consider giving this to. "I personally award the Person to Watch Award to Zoey Wade! She's about to take the world by storm, and in ten years, you're all gonna be telling people how you went to school with the Zoey Wade!"
The crowd cheers again as Zoey beams and basks in the well-deserved attention. "Oh, stahp."
"This year has been one for the books. I ruled over you as your first new queen since the beginning of Poppy's reign...which Poppy responded to by going into literal mourning."
"I had that dress burned the second she took it off," Veronica says, mostly directed at her livestream but loud enough for everyone to hear. "You're all welcome."
"And I've done everything I could've hoped to secure my throne, including banishing a less-than-loyal subject..." Your eyes flash over to Michael's empty chair. Rest in pieces, creep. "Making famous allies and putting fake allies in their place." For just a moment, you get stuck on thinking about cherry-bloody Poppy, but you brush past it. "I got in touch with my roots, unveiled the coward cosplaying as the fox in my henhouse, and showed everyone that if you're coming for the queen, you'd better not miss."
"Bro..." Ford says, looking up at you adoringly, which is only like...60% weird. "Bea saved me from the ultimate embarrassment. For real, we all need to bow down."
"Not to mention that hog wrestling thing was kinda hot."
Uh, good to know Carter's into country girls. You'll have to introduce him to some of your cousins who aren't gay. Anyway, back to the speech; it's your moment, hello? "Every incredible moment was all thanks to the fans that believed in me, voted for me, and semi-stalked my every move. But now it's time to move on to my next epic adventure, starting with launching my own company! It's time to take the skills I've learned in managing my own image and expand on a global scale."
"Would you wrap it up, Farmsville?" Poppy says, studying her nails with a poorly-feigned nonchalance. "I'd like to graduate before the school year starts again."
You roll your eyes and head to the edge of the stage to look at your adoring public one last time. "It was a wild ride going from the rolling plains of Farmsville to here, and I'm going to miss each and every one of you--"
"Me too?" Crispin asks.
Barf. "Like I said, I'm going to miss almost each and every one of you...but the person I'm going to miss the most is Poppy Min-Sinclair." Here goes nothing. Or everything. Your heart's in your throat but you've come this far, gotta see it through. "And I know she'll miss me too."
A gasp goes up from the crowd, and as you leave the stage to make your way to where Poppy stands fuming, every eye on the field lands on you two. Her teeth clench as she growls out, "Take it back, right now, Farmsville."
Oof, that's gonna hurt when the adrenaline stops pumping long enough for you to process it. In a low voice, just for her, you say, "No." Her eyes don't suddenly soften, her scowl doesn't slip into a smile, but her expression shifts, still furious but--calculating, enough that you find the courage to continue. "After two years at each other's throats, there's just one thing I need to say, here and in front of everyone..." Deep breath. You've got this. "Poppy, it's always been you. From the moment you first insulted me on the quad, there's just been this spark between us."
"It's called loathing. If you bothered to visit a single English class this year, you'd know that."
Poppy doesn't break your gaze as she says it, though, and you're stupid enough to hope that means something.
"I loathe you too, Pop."
Before she can get another word in edgewise, you grip the back of her neck and pull her in, crushing your lips to hers and tangling your fingers in her hair with a passionate kiss. She bites your lip again, the same spot as last night. You're reluctant to pull away, but you do have to graduate, probably, so you do, hurrying back onstage before handing the mic back to Steinhelm with a smile.
"Alright, Dean Steinhelm, go ahead and take us out."
"If only..." She steps up to the podium and waves her hands over the crowd with all the energy of just a shell of a woman. "With the power vested in me by your tuition payments, I now pronounce you Belvoire's graduating class of 2021. Now get the hell off my campus before I call the cops."
Ford rips his shirt off. Chloe jumps up, locking her legs around Carter's waist, and maybe you'll have to rethink introducing him to your cousin. You bound down the stairs of the stage, leading the way to the afterparty to celebrate saying goodbye to Belvoire University one last time. That's the plan, anyway, until you feel a grip on your arm, tight enough to bruise, yanking you out of the party procession.
"Ow! Who the hell do you--"
"What the fuck was that about?"
Poppy's not madder than you've ever seen her; that still goes to confronting her about Art Nakamura in the fountain, with losing Apodeia at a not-so-close second. But she's pissed, eyes boring into you with such malice that a lesser woman would've shrunk back. You're kind of tempted yourself.
"Well? Your own self-importance got your tongue?"
"No," you snap. "Guys, go on ahead, we'll join you."
Zoey looks at you with such pity in her eyes, and you kind of want to flip her off, but you know it wouldn't be that satisfying, since she's definitely right to pity you. Also, Felicity might kill you, and you'd rather not take that chance. Carter looks like he wants to stay and see how the chaos plays out, Veronica's got her phone out and is not-so-subtly taking pictures, and even Ina's half-smiling.
But they leave eventually, leaving you and Poppy alone on the edge of the field, Steinhelm walking past you and refusing to look at either of you.
"I--"
The thing is, you have no idea what to say. That you didn't mean it? Too cowardly, not after you've gotten this far. That you said it to fuck with her? A lie, and one no one would believe. That you meant every word?
Terrifying. But you're not backing out in the final quarter, so you take a deep breath and say, "I said what I've wanted to for ages, Poppy."
Poppy hasn't let go of your arm this entire time, and a thrill runs through you when she only tightens her grip, shifting closer to you. "Why?"
"Huh? What do you mean, why?"
"Why did you want to say it?"
You roll your eyes and pull away. "Whatever. I'm not feeding your massive ego more than I already have. You have my number if you want to reach me and actually talk about us."
"There isn't an us!" Poppy calls after you, and you let it roll off your back with only a little misery.
The sound of heels on Belvoire's cobblestone pathways follows you. You refuse to look back, give her the satisfaction of knowing she gets to you (more than she already knows, anyway). She follows you all the way back to the party house, a place you're pretty sure Liam's renting as a way to apologize/grovel for forgiveness. Or bought, actually, knowing this crowd.
To his credit, the bouncer doesn't ask any questions, just steps aside and lets you both walk in. You make a beeline for the bar, feeling in your bones that you need a drink before you can even start to have this conversation. Poppy slips onto the stool next to you, staring at your face with an intensity that's unsettling, and a little exciting.
"Can I just get a beer?"
Poppy rolls her eyes. "Seriously? Has your taste not evolved at all?"
You turn to look at her fully for the first time since ignoring her. "What do you want?"
"For you to answer my question! And a pomegranate martini."
That does actually sound kind of good, but you keep your expression annoyed anyway. "Oh, goody, I guess today's my lucky day since you won't fuck off. Do you need me to pay? I know money's tight, and I'm nothing if not a good date."
"This isn't--" Poppy glowers at you, cutting herself off. "My question?" You blink at her, confused, and she makes a quiet, frustrated noise, grabs both your drinks, and drags you into another room under the eyes of literally everyone. Well, more like a closet, but it's big enough that you're not touching, though you're close enough to feel the warmth radiating off of her. "Why did you say it?"
"I already told you, Poppy," you say, opening your beer and wishing you'd ordered something stronger. "I said what I've wanted to for awhile."
"So after you already beat me, you just--what, decided to confess you have feelings for me in front of the entire school?"
"What do you care?" you hiss. "We graduated. You don't have to see any of them ever again if you don't want to, so sorry if you're embarrassed, but--"
"I'm not embarrassed," Poppy says, getting further into your space, enough that your noses brush. "I'm mad. I don't need you trying to manipulate me for--what, every last bit of clout you'll get as the benevolent former Queen? Forgiving anyone, I see that you're playing right into your brand. Well, fuck you. I'm not going to be your pet project--"
"What the fuck? No, that's not--you think I'm trying to use you for my image?"
It's not the dumbest thing you've ever heard Poppy say, but it's coming pretty goddamn close. You're not appearing like some angelic saint here; you're being honest with a group of people in a way that makes your heart race, makes you terrified, makes you want more than anything to have done this over a quiet night in. Except you were never going to, not with her. She wouldn't have listened to you.
Except that she's listening now.
"You're...not? No, that's bullshit. I know what I am, there's no way."
"It's not bullshit. Yeah, I know you're kind of a monster, but--"
"Rich and bitchy is your type?"
"But I care about you, asshole. Maybe I shouldn't! Hell, I know I shouldn't. But I do. And I'm not taking it back."
"You don't mean that. Really?"
Poppy seems genuinely confused, and the stupid, sentimental part of your heart (which is, to be honest, most of it) breaks at it. "Poppy, I like you, okay? Nothing more than that, no plots or schemes or anything. It's not--I'm sorry I did it like that, since you clearly--hated it, and me, but I just...it was stupid. I'm getting out of--"
"You mean that." She says it like she's just realizing it herself.
You sigh. "Yeah. Of course I do."
Before you can open the door, Poppy puts her hands on yours over the handle, shocking you into stillness. "Don't--give me a second to think."
"Don't give you a second to think?"
"You know what I meant, bitch." You do, and the insult's not said with her usual venom, so you wait for her, trying not to be obvious about the way you can't look away from her face, the little furrow between her eyebrows that means she's concentrating, the way her drink has oh-so-slightly stained her bottom lip, her fingers lacing through yours. "I'm not--used to that."
"To...?"
"To--people meaning what they say," Poppy says, and then rolls her eyes at nothing, glaring at you like you've done literally anything to piss her off. "When they say things like that. I don't..." She pauses, and you let her, much as you want to interrupt her and tell her you do mean it, you do, beg her to listen to you, to see you-- "I don't know what to do with that."
"What, and you think I do?" You laugh. "Poppy, my first and only other relationship ended because she moved out of town and just didn't tell me. And I was 14, so it barely counts. This is--terrifying. Not that you're--actually, no, you are terrifying. But you're good terrifying. This is...I feel like I'm going to fuck up and ruin things. I feel like I have."
"You haven't," Poppy interrupts. "I'm not promising anything, but you haven't ruined it. Yet. I'm sure you can find a way."
"Oh, fuck you," you say, a little confused and a lot happy, and you pull her in. Poppy melts into it, softer than she has in any of your other trysts, arms winding around your neck. With her heels on to your sneakers, you're of a height to each other. It makes it easier to pull her in, hands on her hips. Poppy pulls back, though she doesn't stay gone for long, pressing quick, sweet kisses to the column of your throat, taking your breath away. "You do--ah--realize this door doesn't lock, right? Anyone could walk in?"
"Let them," Poppy says, voice low, sending a shiver up your spine. "You already told everyone something's happening. Show them how much you need me."
And she sounds, just a little, like she wants you to show her, too, so you grab her hand, press a quick kiss to her palm to watch her shiver, and bring it up your skirt. "I need you. Only you. Always been you, Poppy."
She kisses you again; you can feel her smiling into it. You can't help but smile back.

Poppy x Mc ai generated story
Poppy and MC had never gotten along. As the queen bee of Belvoire High, Poppy was used to getting her way and always being the center of attention. MC, on the other hand, was new to the school and had never been one for social hierarchies.
Despite their differences, they found themselves paired up for a class project. MC was hesitant at first, but Poppy surprised her by being more helpful than she expected. As they worked together, they began to see each other in a different light.
One day, Poppy asked MC to meet her after school. MC was nervous, wondering what Poppy could want with her. But when she arrived at the designated meeting spot, she found Poppy waiting for her with a shy smile on her face.
"I know we've had our differences," Poppy said, "but I can't stop thinking about you."
MC was taken aback. She had never thought of Poppy in that way, but as Poppy leaned in to kiss her, she realized that she felt the same way.
From that moment on, they were inseparable. They would sneak off during lunch breaks to make out in hidden corners of the school, and they would spend hours texting each other at night. They kept their relationship a secret from their classmates, but they didn't care.
As graduation approached, they knew that they would be going their separate ways. Poppy had been accepted to a prestigious university on the other side of the country, while MC was staying close to home. They didn't know what the future held, but they promised to stay in touch and make it work.
Years later, they both found themselves living in the same city. They rekindled their romance, and this time they didn't have to hide their love. They would walk hand-in-hand down the street, not caring who saw them.
Poppy and MC may have started off as enemies, but they ended up finding love in the most unexpected of places.

Nangangamba (Poppy x MC)
Chapter 4
𝙼𝚊𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚕𝚒𝚜𝚝
 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I’m so pretty
About Charlie: They are Filipino and their family moved to New York at a young age. They write songs (indie/alternative to be exact) that is how them and Zoey met. THEY ARE BADASS.
Tumblr media
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEET
I shall start now peepol
----------------------------------
She was frozen still, the air felt so cold to her touch - even with her coat, still it doesn’t add warmth. Charlie… charlie, she knows that name; very well in fact.
Flashback
Poppy ended all her classes with slumped back, earlier, she found out that her father, Art, won’t be seeing her like he promised; her dad Piers, canceled his month-long business trip to France. This cancelation made Art stay at New Jersey. This made Poppy devastated, aching for the longing of her father - who she hadn’t seen for more than she could intern.
Lamenting, she hadn’t realized that she was now standing right outside a coffee shop. It was a coffee shop everyone at Belvoire has come to know and love, it was painted beautifully; every customer is sure to be greeted by a maze of colors, each stripe reveals different tints, all being captured by the quintessential pastel theme. This made her heart flutter with joy a bit, cushioning her desolation for a minute; only for a minute, then she went on to continue her gloomy day once again. For weeks there is something she wanted to tell her father, he may have a terrible outcome to his love life, but Poppy thought, ‘that would be a better choice than questioning myself and gaining nothing’. Carter, the alpha’s… she went with almost every high ranking boys on campus - boys that will sure woo every straight girls on campu-
OH… OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-
“Straight girls…” she thought out loud, she realized that she did when a student approached her.
“That sure must not be me you’re thinking about then, bummer…” Poppy was now looking at the student like she saw a wizard coming out the wall. “Hey, what’s with the curious looks your highness?” The student joked, and after a while of silent treatment and Poppy’s continuous ignorance, they formulated an exaggerated gasp, *GASP* “am I in dire trouble to your palatial kingdom your highness?” That must’ve woken Poppy from her thoughts as she eyed the student, somehow she remembers them, so couldn’t figure out where she knew them, so she asked, “You are?” Poppy tried to inquire in a “nice” kinda way - but of course she failed to do so, and all came out was the usual sassy and bitchy tone of hers.
They don’t seem to mind her previous tone, “Bitchiness aside, what’s wrong with you? I know we’re not close, but maybe I know something that could help you, OH and I almost forgot, my name is Charlie” The room was surprisingly empty this time of the day, Poppy is sure their silent conversation could be heard loud and clear with all the empty seats bouncing each sound waves they directed, yet she had no choice, she can’t be as miserable tomorrow as she is now. “And help how exactly?” Before she could ask another question Charlie somehow was now out of her sight, following her instincts - she went outside hoping to get a glimpse where they were headed, luckless, she kept going until she did find them “Why am I even following them?” “Why am I this confused that I’ll do this to answer my question?” Deep in her gut she felt ominous. But before her worry eat her courage, there she finally caught a peep of them. They were standing over a shade, leaning over the big tree with branches she definitely wouldn’t be able to reach. To her honesty, the was candidly perplexing, it doesn’t look in any way ordinary. Poppy took a while to breathe the scenery, the flowers and the uneven grass makes the floor look so natural; even though it really is natural, but this natural felt like it came from fantasy movies. “Bea would love this” she sighed then her words hit her, “Wait no-” and there it was again, denial.
Charlie was looking at her amazed, smirk visible on one side of their cheek. “Earth to the queen?” They shouted, the noise echoed through the place; the trees being a major factor. “Oh shut it-” the famous name calling never arrived as she was about to fall face first to the ground, all she could do is close her eyes and hope it won’t wound or bruise. She swears she’d been falling for 10 minutes, ‘why hasn’t she fell yet?’ ‘did someone pushed the anti gravity button for some reason?’ But no- it was not the ground she fell of, instead it was a warm pair of hands - cupping her body perfectly to make sure they wouldn’t her even a cell of her body. For someone as tall they were gentle. Next thing she knew, they were holding a piece of her cheek, “are you good?” They asked concerned, genuinely concerned. But of course, as the queen she was, she stood immediately, as if nothing happened.
Both stood, immobile, neither were able to speak, move, hell even breathe. But Charlie cut the tension when they took her silence as a yes, “well then let’s go, we’re nearby, really…” They waved an apologetic smile, feeling guilty they made her go through the hassle. After a short walk; as they promised, Charlie motioned to the small gazebo laying down n the middle of the beautiful gardens. Being the queen of Belvoire has its many own perks, knowing every single angle of the campus and secret hangouts was one of it. Surprisingly, of all the many sites that had come to her vision, this sure is a new one. There she sat on a nearby seat as she entered the sheltered area. “So,” they started, though can’t follow through with another word or question. “Oh?...” Poppy repeated, prompting for them to speak. “Hit me with your quandary your highness” their tone was sarcastically stated, they followed with a curtsy. Poppy felt her eyes rolling to the back of her skull, but she started on her trouble telling tales, “I can’t tell you even if all my guts wanted to, I don’t even know what the hell it is, but…” “but?...” they questioned, “It feels weird, I never considered it before but when I did…” her voice fell soft at the end, “You feel more yourself than you ever did in your whole life? You feel the need to express and be proud that you finally found yourself, the one you thought you’ve lost?” “I, yes…” she felt weak, she felt that surrendering feeling, was she that easy to read? I carry it like it’s an end-of-the-world kind of problem, but they just figured it out just like that!
She was sure of the feeling, yet she couldn’t find herself to wrap her head around it. Only one explanation that elucidates this infatuation of hers. “Not to be bold, but I think I know what’s on your mind right now, mind me guessing?” They really intend to help then, they definitely gave her that impression - but why? “Here…” their raspy voice was now soft spoken, she now examined the object of attention; a photo, was it a photo of them? But this was definitely what Poppy first thought when she saw Charlie earlier today - long locks of dark hair, in the photo she saw a girl wearing “decent” clothes… the only reason for it being basic is for the way the student seem to look wearing it; the student look irritated and very disquiet. Then she saw the student’s eyes, that when she knew, “Charlie…” Poppy doesn’t know what to say, ‘how am I supposed to tell them that I kinda had a crush on them when she first arrived at Belvoire?’ that’s why they seemed familiar, but instead of an anxious student she was now greeted by a confident silhouette. “You shouldn’t fear to be the rest of yourself Poppy, I’d rather three people love the real me than a hundred loving the person I call myself but in reality was not” Their sound was so soothing, she felt relieved with those words, with that they hugged them, “I’m not there yet, but I will be Charlie…” “I’ll count on that” they smirked, Poppy mirrored the expression back.
"This was weird, but I got to say, I really enjoyed my time with you" she could lie to them and tell them that they bored her out of her mind, but she rarely finds company rousing. Also, the fact that she enjoyed a peaceful time speaks for itself how good a time she had; it's not everyday Poppy gets a time to relax. A hand fell flat on the blade of her shoulder, "you know, your highness I could say the same thing!" They both smiled, Poppy was more than delighted, this was a treat, compared to her daily life in burning hell. Both parted ways, but before they were too far to hear each other a voice spoked, “Same place Min Sinclair?” with that Poppy nodded and smiled before turning her back and return to her former walk home.
End of flashback
She was unfrozen, now feeling her senses came back into her, the voice she heard was familiar, so, so familiar. It’s like the scent of rain that makes you feel seven; and you still don’t feel the impact of the world crumbling from the inside. Her body was now thawed and is now able to move, yet her mind won’t function the way it’s supposed to do. ‘What was I supposed to do? Do I move or do I just go inside and be the stone cold woman I always stem to be?’ With all the thinking she must’ve lost all her consciousness - for when she felt her cheeks, a single tear was already resting and taking a dive at the floor.
“Charlie…” she breathed, was she hurt? ‘No you can’t be Poppy’ but she heard a second after smashed heart heart to piece, this room-
This is Bea’s room…
And a voice now started,
~ Nangangamba nangangamba ang 'yong puso ~
One strum of the guitar and her heart shattered,
~ Hindi ka sigurado ('di ka sigurado) ~
Her heart stopped, yet the music keep beating,
~ Nalilito nalilito ang 'yong utak ~ (Worried, your heart is worried)
“I was too late, again…”
~ Kung tunay bang pag ibig 'to (tunay bang pag ibig 'to) ~ (Mind confused if this is real love)
“Why can I just love without hurting?”
~ Ano ba ang problema mo ~ (What is your problem)
The battle with the heart was lost again,
~ Sabihin na ang totoo ~  (Tell the truth)
For once, I don’t want the truth - I don’t want to go inside…
~ Sabihin mo na nilalaman ng puso mo ~ (Tell what's in your heart)
Tell me without telling me, don’t show me
Charlie doesn’t hurt, but the silence did, Bea must’ve liked the song, she’s very attentive and quiet to things that she finds amusing or in this case a person she finds interesting. To be fair Charlie really is interesting; quirky, but interesting - maybe that’s the thing that makes them interesting, they are not the so called “I’m not like the others” trope, but they genuinely are novel.
Guess she could say that she deserves this, for the entirety of last year all she did was try to make a hell of Bea’s life - that she kinda did. So she shouldn’t even be mopping here like she even had a chance. So with a pang, she entered the room. They are all looking at her like she was a walking statue - well, it’s partly true; she was walking straight up, stiff as stone and with a face unmoving as a rock. She paced walked to the nearest room, luckily it was her room, but again this was also Bea’s room… She couldn’t care much about that, so she slammed a pillow to fer face and let all her angers out.
--------------------------------------
“Well this day was a rollercoaster” Bea whispered to herself as she walks to her room, Just before she reached the knob of her door, she suddenly felt her stomach curled - and with that she immediately went back to the kitchen to make herself something to eat. Now arriving she was greeted by the small figure of non-only than Poppy Min Sinclair, even when sleeping she looks like a goddess Bea admitted to herself; it’s not like anyone could deny that.
By the time she finished her meal that’s when it hit her again, her stomach still flutters, just like it did earlier, But why? She’d already eaten plentiful amounts of food yet- was it guilt? Guilt, guilt for what? Whilst wondering her eye landed on the sleeping princess, landed was an understatement; more like it rested there for a good three minutes, not scanning her body, not even looking, it was just right there - her eyes were in contact, but her consciousness was left out, right now, she was considered to be zoning out. Afterwards, now regaining her self mind, she now located where it was coming from, she was not breathing like she normally was neither does her heart beat in a rhythm it normally does.
The pang was somehow related to Poppy, and somewhere deep within Bea knew why, the only reason Bea even dare to overthrow the queen was for her to get the chance to get to know the real woman behind the crown; she was unsuccessful obviously, a moment came where she gave up and just accepted that Poppy Min Sinclair is just a mean bitchy spoiled little girl - but moments today proved that she was right, Poppy was hurt; never treated right never given respect and that’s all what she sought. Was it right to run away from love the moment it finally showed a change or progress?
The kiss, was she saying something?
Poppy doesn’t really trust her words to speak for her.
It usually just comes out rude and bitchy…
“I like you Poppy,”
“I hate you HUGHES”
And the rest was bed and pleasure…
You always kept me like a secret, your toy. I get tired playing too, I GET TIRED. But were you trying? Are you? Usually Poppy “people” treat the people that they like kindly, but the letters… from her mom to her father, her mother was always out, she made sure to payback from the time she’s away, but was she alright?
BUT I SWEAR I’M TIRED! Poppy… I am tired please, it hurts thinking about you. I loved you knowing I won’t have my heart intact at the end - but for a goddess I would break it a thousand times over and over again. To be a proof of that, I felt guilty knowing I said yes to them knowing I still have feelings, was it fair? Or am I just treating them the way you did; one sided.
Was it because it felt lonely being on one side of that love that you want to feel what’s on the other side? I said yes, knowing there is a huge chance I would never forget her; it also doesn’t help that she's laying right beside her, atoms further from each other, the air barricading the two apart. But only one thing is clear at the moment she has to tell Charlie; ALL OF IT, they deserve to know all of it.
The other thing that’s making her nape throb was the task X assigned that she hadn’t yet seen. She anxiously opened her feed to be met by shocked posts, and reactions to the previous asseveration of that coward bitch; on which of course is X.
‘Looks like Queen Beeatch is scared, look how she still isn’t responding’
someone anonymously posted, if one thing is clear the person whom did that was more of a coward, not showing their face while blabbering their mouth. She sighed and moved on from her haters and scrolled to the hive of the (wannabee) queen’s confrontation of challenges. A few minutes of scrolling through the page and there she found;
DOES YOUR QUEEN HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
Find out who I am.
Have 100k followers (As if your so-called fans would be willing to make that many dummy accounts <3)
Survive Belvoire with the only reason you are at the throne in the first place - Zoey Wade.
What do you mean without her? She’s going anywhere, unlike your followers my Zoey is looooooyal; I’m very sorry if you can’t relate. Mwah, you need all the love you can get - you must be starving from those :(
I clicked on the post button and there it is once again my words beat the hell out of that X, but then…
Aw… poor Bea didn’t she tell you? Her “new singing career” is more important than you now babes…
And with that entered Zoey she must’ve also seen the challenges for her face spells “We need to talk”
GUESS WHO’S BACK, BACK AGAIN
