What kind of Plants vs Zombies players I think the reboot cast of Total Drama are (I’m slowly losing my mind)
Priya- definitely played and completed every single game. She still plays the first one for Endless and Last Stand and sometimes plays the second one for Penny's Pursuit. Has every single plant except the ones you have to buy for real money.
Bowie- Has played and completed the second one, has almost every $5 plant. Played the first one for a bit but then got bored. Has tried Heroes and enjoyed it (he's a Rose and Electric Boogaloo main)
Caleb- Has heard of it, but never actually played it. Priya FREAKED when she found out and is trying to get him into it.
Raj- Has played both 1 and 2, but enjoys 2 more because he loves Frostbite Caves; has a 100+ win streak in Icebound Battleground. Favorite plant is Snowpea.
Wayne- Same exact thing as Raj; they like to play side by side together on their phones. Favorite plant is Iceberg Lettuce.
Millie- Has played a little bit of 1 but stopped at the Night levels. She likes the design of it.
Julia- Only played the first one so she could use the Zen Garden and post about how "ethical" she was. Now that she revealed her true self, she doesn't do it as much but she sometimes likes to come back to check up on her plants.
MK- Uses weird mods and hacks for 1 and 2. Probably has some bullshit deck in Heroes like the Soul Patch Forcefield one or an insanely powerful Pet deck.
Ripper- Og player, has beaten 1 but not 2. He only really remembers it every few months and comes back to play some minigames. Still regularly plays GW and Heroes though. Super Brainz ahh main.
Chase- Definitely only plays the Xbox version. He makes weird challenge videos like "BEATING PVZ WITH ONLY WALNUTS AND POTATO MINES 😱💥" and does insane Heroes deck gameplay. Plays GW with Ripper sometimes.
Zee- Has only played the second game but has somehow beaten it over 60 times on multiple different accounts. Didn't know the first game existed for a long time. Somehow also remembers playing the 3rd game.
Axel- Literally only plays the first game, Endless and Last stand only and has the highest streak ever for both.
Emma- Played the first one and had beaten it, just getting into the second one. She likes watching people play it rather than playing it herself.
Nichelle- Couldn't beat Zomboss in the first game and ragequit.
Damien- Only plays PvZ Heroes. Professor Brainstorm and Green Shadow main; has almost every card in the game and has a really high rank in arena.
Scary Girl- has played EVERY game. Has a super mega high arena rank in 2, only plays minigames for the 1st one. Has also somehow played the 3rd game. Probably ships Peashooter and Sunflower. Favorite world is Modern Day.

Reconciliations (Part One) Written for the Ginnyversary Bingo with the prompt: #O69 — "With her faded dress and worn shoes, she knew she couldn't go."
This is Chapter One of a two-chapter story, I will post over the coming few days :) Read on: AO3
Ginny stepped into the headmistress’s office in Hogwarts, as McGonagall greeted her with a curt nod. She was in a great mood. The weekend at home would bring her some much-needed relaxation, even with the whole wedding commotion.
“Miss Weasley,” McGonagall exclaimed in greeting. Her blue eyes observed her with what Ginny liked to call, The classic McGonagall look.
“Professor McGonagall,” Ginny replied, smiling at the Headmistress.
“The Floo is ready for you, and like we agreed, I expect you to be back on Sunday, no later than 8 pm. Is that clear?” The teacher sternly declared as Ginny nodded in confirmation.
“Well with that out of the way-” McGonagall gave Ginny one of her rare smiles. “-I wish you a nice weekend at Mr. Percy’s wedding. Please send him and Ms. Audrey my dearest regards.”
“I will! Thank you for letting me go!” Ginny replied, grinning at the Professor, just before disappearing into the flames.
A second later she was stumbling into the burrow living room, quickly dusting herself off in the process, struggling to get the soot out of her long hair.
Preparations were already in order, even though Percy and Audrey wouldn't marry at the Burrow like Bill and Fleur did, the whole kitchen and living room were filled with precooked dishes, desserts, and cakes for tomorrow. The smell was heavenly, and Ginny could basically hear her stomach yelling for something.
But that wasn’t on Ginny’s mind right now, she was glad McGonagall had let her go early since she still needed an outfit for tomorrow. Her dress for Bill’s wedding last year, had been destroyed in the fighting, and with the rest of her faded dresses and worn shoes, she knew she couldn’t go.
And there was another thing Ginny was nervous about. Harry would be there. And while they had mostly made up after what had happened before the battle, and over the time where he was on the run with her brother and Hermione. There was still palpable tension in the air between them.
The last time she had seen him was over a month ago when he had come to visit Hogwarts to help with some of the last bits of repair work that had to be done after the battle had destroyed large parts of the castle.
But the two of them had only exchanged some brief words, a heavy tension lying in the air throughout the whole conversation.
But right now Harry needed to wait, first Ginny needed to visit London for a dress new dress. There was no dress code for the wedding, Audrey-, to Percy’s dismay, -wanted to leave the choice up to each individual liking's, stating that it was just more fun, with which Ginny wholeheartedly agreed.
After Ginny had greeted her mother, who had been working in the garden, she quickly threw her bag onto her bed. Before taking the Floo to the leaky cauldron, where she met up with Fleur who would help her with picking out a fitting dress for the wedding.
The two women had quickly grown closer after the battle, as Fleur had been there for the family every single minute after they had lost Fred, and Ginny would be forever grateful for that.
Ginny greeted the older women with a wave, as Fleur stepped into the Leaky cauldron. Squeezing past a group of slightly tipsy goblins.
“Hello Ginny, you look great, I am happy to zee you!” She called out, quickly closing the distance before the two hugged tightly. Ginny could smell Fleur’s familiar lavender perfume, and it reminded her of the many evenings her sister-in-law had sat with her in the Burrow living room, listening to Ginny sharing all her favourite memories of Fred.
“Hi! I am so happy to see you too.” Ginny told her. “Thank you a lot for doing this, I would’ve been totally lost without you, dresses and I don’t go well together.” She chuckled, only making Fleur shake her head.
“Zis is so wrong!  On mine and Bill’s wedding, you looked more than stunning in your dress!” Fleur honestly told her. “You have become a beautiful young woman, Ginny!”
Ginny slightly blushed under the praise as they made their way outside, and Ginny almost stumbled over a dancing Goblin.
They talked about Hogwarts and how the Wizarding and Witching world was recovering from Voldemort’s tough reign. Fleur and Bill had been promoted, and now both lead new rebuilding and subsidising departments at Gringotts. Things were looking up all around.
They walked in comfortable silence for a few minutes, and Ginny used the chance to take in the muggle architecture of the big city, still not feeling comfortable while these blasted muggle machines raced past them. Brooms were so much more convenient she thought.
They stopped in front of a red light at a crosswalk and Fleur stared at her for a second, before she spoke up.
“What is with Harry? Have you spoken to him rezently?” The blond woman observed her carefully and Ginny only stared out into the distance as she spoke up.
“No… Not really.” She paused for a while.
“I guess things between us are still complicated…” She started.  “It’s just… I guess…” Ginny paused again.
“So much happened while he was gone, and we both went through so much, it takes time. We both still love each other, that I know. But we don’t want to rush things now.” She sighed, staring at the traffic light which had just turned green, as the two women crossed the road.
“See, I understand that.” Fleur began. “But there is taking things slow, and there is basically not doing anything at all.”
They had reached the other side and Fleur stopped to look at her as Ginny met her sister-in-law’s clear blue eyes. “Ginny, it has been eight months since the battle, you two can’t keep avoiding each other.” Fleur pointed out. “You two are made for each other, you love each other, you need each other! Every day you aren’t together you’re missing out on so much love and happiness.” She finished.
And Ginny knew she was right, she loved Harry, and she knew Harry loved her just as much, they had this bond, this connection neither of them could explain, they were drawn towards each other, every second of every day, every moment that passed her heart yearned for him.
But they needed to speak, and neither of them was especially great when it came to talking about their feelings. Ginny sighed, as she brushed her red hair from her eyes, the wind was blowing strongly and she was struggling to keep it under control.
She met Fleur’s gaze again before she spoke up. “You’re right…” Ginny admitted. “But how? We are just so bad when it comes to talking about what moves us and goes on in our minds.” She asked, making Fleur chuckle.
“Ginny, think back, your bond was so special, you told me that you and Harry could share anything, and there was nothing you two couldn’t talk about. You two just understood each other! Being able to talk about anything is so rare, and it just shows how much you are made for each other.” Fleur explained bluntly.
“You just both need to get over this mental blockade that things are suddenly different. Because they aren’t, you still love each other, you still get each other.”
Fleur was quiet for a second as she seemed to think before a grin crossed her features. “I think you are both just scared to discover that things between you have changed, that you have grown apart, and that you don’t love each other anymore. But all of that couldn't be further from the truth! You still are so alike, you still are so in love, and I think those months of hardship you both endured will just bring you two even closer together than you have ever been before!” She finished, looking at Ginny in understanding.
And Ginny knew Fleur was right. She had been scared to find a different Harry, a Harry she couldn’t love anymore, a changed Harry. And she was scared Harry would see her differently, and maybe would lose interest, moving on to someone else. But that was all wrong, those months of darkness had infected them with doubt and insecurity. Fleur was right, they needed to talk, as soon as possible, he was the love of her life, every day they weren’t together was a day without the person she loved most on this planet.
Her face broke out into a wide grin as she spoke. “Fleur, You are so- “-Right. I know!” The blond woman cut her off, smiling, making Ginny roll her eyes as she couldn’t contain her laughter.
“Yes, yes, you are right,” Ginny admitted. “Me and Harry need to talk, as soon as possible-” She stared ahead, the early spring sun bathing the houses in a slight tinge of orange. “-because I love this man more than anything else…”

From @house-of-mirrors !🌹Orsinio is open to casual flirtation/platonic things. I have a pinned post about him. Thank you for doing this little game!
The Captain was in a delightfully tailored blue and silver suit, waiting for the Professor just outside his classroom with a single blue rose in hand; they bowed politely making direct eye contact with Orsinio and winking in a very elegant way.
"Shall we go? The Exhibition opens in a few minutes, Professor"
As he takes the blue rose from the gloved hand, it transforms into a wonderfully embrodiered silk handkerchief with Orsinio's initials on it.
The walk in the early evening is just delightful, as the Captain discusses with him about their last research journey with the Esteemed Professor of Cryptozoology.
"So the internal blood stream system was missing altogether? And how did the creature breathe and nourished itsel? CAGED? Like an armor?"
The Zee sure hide many misteries and laugh at the wild, wild theories brought to London by the Cryptozoologist was just what was needed after a long day lecturing a bunch of professors wannabe.
The Prelapsarian Museum was holding an exhibit about the recent Zee-related discoveries: taxidermed cretures, straLEt menge objects, tools and idols carved from the bones of mysterious animals.
The discussion was always on point and interesting as the Captain inquired about Orsinio's opinion of the many powers at work in the Neath.
They nodded seriously, laughed with a heartfelt apology and grinned their teeth appropriately as Orsinio spoke. It seemed that Morgan themselves were deeply distrusting the so called "gods" in the Neath. Recognize them as powerful, yes. Grant them the status of deities? No. They were raised without a precise religious way of seeing the world so they asked about the Professor's beliefes with absolute fascination and curiosity.
"It seems me and you share the 'good by all means' belief, Professor. Come, let's head to a more quiet place. Dinner is on me, tonight."
The house was not properly a house. It was a giant shell adapted as a three stories home by masterfully skilled hands.
The Captain knocked three times and the door opened seemingly without any mechanical or mystical means.
"Please, take a sit, Orsinio dear. I'll be right back" they said, casually motioning as if hanging their coat to the wall, despite not being any coat rack there, and disappeared through another door opening on its own.
Orsinio went into the living room, and felt his coat and hat being taken away from him, so gently and yet firmly followed by a soft sound of small feet tippy-tapping away.
He take seat on the sofa, that has been so used or mistreated Orsinio sinks in it rather than sitting on it. Another little clay fellow clink-clanks its way into the living room, bringing a silver plate carrying various snacks.
After a while, the Captain joins him and spent some time chatting and discussing lightly the current state of the Neath.
After a while, they stand up and extend their hand in a playful invitation.
"Time for dinner, don't you think?" says preceding the Professor into the elegant, fully equiped kitchen. Fires lit themselves up as they ready themselves to cook.
Their knifework is flawless, quick and precise, Each course prepared with care and an excellent selections of everything the Neath has to offer: there must be eight courses each small and appropriately sized to feel filled at the end and enjoy every single dish.
Fires blaze, oil sizzles and every now and then, the Captain would lean on the table and gives a bite to savour as a sample of the next dish, smiling and making Orsinio blush a little more than once.
Each dish is served with a very little of sweet and bright wine directly from the best fungi farms around the Neath.
There's laughter, there's scientific dissertion. There's small talk. There's BIG talk about Life and Everything Else.
Morgan will bring Orsinio to the... let's call it "roof", of the House and spend the last of this lovely night playing ballads on their violin and telling stories of love, of revenge and loss and newfound reasons to live for.
The next day, Orsinio will find a little clay fellows, eyes empty and dark instead of full of light from a specific colour of the Neathbow like the ones serving as house keepers at Captain's place. There's a lovely envelope tied with a blood red ribbon.
"Something nice to study and a trusty companion. Just fill a Mirrorcatch Box with the color of your choice and fill it with water. Dip the ClayFellow in it and let it rest an entire night. Watch out, the Peligin eyed ones are quite... Cryptic. Thank you for the company and enlightening chatting. See you at the University, Professor.
Yours Truly,
Francis Morgan Dargor."

I love the Scoundrel so much they're so fun. The Inescapable Professor would try to clobber them to death and throw them into the Zee if they ever met <3
the scoundrel is SO deeply sorry the professor happens to feel that way. perhaps a friendly spot of tea could lighten the mood. if their hands (that are looking suspiciously more and more like claws with every passing week) slip and drop poison into the cup well that's merely human error and fortunately the scoundrel is anything but human so obviously they are completely innocent and divorced from any wrongdoing because they are the most perfect being in all the neath 🥰 maybe the professor just has a skill issue ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
or so they would claim

June-July 1947. The JSA's Golden Age adventures, especially the early ones, are for the most part an acquired taste: neither as polished as the better 1940s Batman stories, as whimsical as the frequently delightful Captain Marvel, nor as wild as the sillier Timely comics of the era, with surprisingly little real character interaction. The Justice Society's best Golden Age years were 1947–1948, which still didn't have a lot of characterization, but compensated with significantly more inventive stories. My personal favorite is this one, "The Day That Dropped Out of Time!" by John Broome, in which the power-hungry Per Degaton, assistant of the JSA's friend Professor Zee, steals his boss's time machine and alters history so that modern technology begins to disappear — save for specially prepared equipment used by Degaton and his men to, you guessed it, conquer the world. Broome cheats more than a little bit (how Degaton is able to spare his own equipment from "the change" in time is never revealed, and while the JSA eventually learn what historical event Degaton altered, its significance isn't really explained), but it's an entertaining superhero adventure with a clever ending that sees Per Degaton back precisely where he started. (Roy Thomas, who returned Degaton several times in ALL-STAR SQUADRON and YOUNG ALL-STARS, presented the villain as essentially trapped in a time loop of his own making, making at least three increasingly grandiose plans to conquer the world by changing history that all end the same way.)

What I'd want in Star Wars Jedi Survivor. How about more alternative scenarios.
What if Merrin found Dagan instead of Cal, I'm just gonna lose my mind, how it would be then?
What if Cal and Merrin fought Dagan together
I'm just wonder if Merrin and Cal would try to talk to him instead but it's too late though
If players could play from the start as Cere
What if Cere found Dagan. The battle would be kick ass. She's also wise, maybe Dagan would listen to Cere though no, he wouldn't.
Alternative beginning/ending for Dagan staying at The Light Side or getting an a redemption arc in the end or somewhere when Cal about to rescue Zee. I wish Dagan to be happier. I think Dagan and Cal would be good friends/brotp since Dagan is lonely. :(
Scenario where Eno Cordova is not dies. Somehow this character reminds me one of my college professors so I love him. He's so wise and calm.
Dunno what I'm want else maybe that's enough for now.

A/N: this month’s theme for @hp-12monthsofmagic is “School’s Out For Summer”. For Zadie, school is out forever. This story sort of follows on from Acceptance, but it can be read as a stand-alone. Features Reva Amari @lifeofkaze and Robin Willows @that-scouse-wizard. Warnings: FOMO and dubious impressions of beloved characters.
Tumblr media
The end of the summer term was close, and for Zadie Taylor-Allen, that meant she was nearing the end of her Hogwarts education. She was not yet sure how she felt about it; on the one hand she was excited to start studying at the Wizarding Academy of Dramatic Arts, on the other, she was anxious about leaving the safety of the school she knew and loved. She didn’t yet feel that she was ready.
It did not help matters that she was the only one of her friends who would be leaving Hogwarts that year. She was only in her sixth year, and was leaving school a year early to take her place at W.A.D.A., while the rest of her classmates would continue studying for their N.E.W.T.s without her. It was not that she wished to take the N.E.W.T.s herself — on the contrary, she hated exams with a passion — but she already felt as if she were missing out on all the the fun parts of school that her friends would get to enjoy: Quidditch matches, parties, gossiping in the courtyard, and going for excursions in Hogsmeade Village. And that was without all the traditional end-of-school events that she simply would not be able to attend, or would now have to attend alone, such as leaving ceremony on the final morning of term.
Today, the invitations for the ceremony were ready to be collected, and Zadie’s closest friends — Victoire, Reva, and Robin — had all agreed to stay behind after Charms class and wait for her to get hers.
“What actually happens at this ceremony?” asked Robin.
“Not much, it’s just boring and pointless,” Reva said, and yawned theatrically as if to prove her point. “Everyone shakes McGonagall’s hand and gets a little hat, and they give out some awards, and then do a walk down to the lake and ride in the boats.”
“What’s wrong with that? It sounds alright.”
“It is at first, but then it goes on for ages. If it wasn’t for Zadie, I’d fake a stomach ache to get out of watching it again. I don’t love my brother enough to sit through it just for him. I’ll endure it for your sake, Zee, but you should know that if I die of boredom, I will haunt you.”
“I’m sure it won’t be that bad.” Victoire looked as if she were trying not to either roll her eyes or laugh, or both. She shook her head, sending ripples through her silver-blonde hair. “I went to Teddy’s last year, and I thought it was a sweet send off, even if it did take a while. It’s a tradition, a right of passage.” Reva pulled a face, but Victoire ignored her. She turned to Zadie and smiled as she added, “You’ll really enjoy it. And it’ll make your parents so proud to watch it.”
“I hope so,” said Zadie. Her front teeth grazed her bottom lip. “I still think they’re a little disappointed that I’m not finishing school properly and doing exams and things like my sister did. Not that I’d ever do that as well as her, but still… Hopefully this will make it up to them.”
After the lesson ended and the rest of her classmates filtered out into the hallway outside, Zadie approached Professor Flitwick, her Head of House, at the front of the classroom.
“Um, Professor,” she said, and his moustache twitched as he smiled at her encouragingly. “I’m sorry to bother you, but I just wanted to come and collect my invitations.”
“Invitations?”
“Yes, for the leaving ceremony. I want to send some to my family so they can come and watch, if that’s okay.”
Professor Flitwick fidgeted slightly, and looked up at her with eyes filled with sympathy.
“Oh, dear,” he said awkwardly, and Zadie felt her stomach twist. “I’m not quite sure how to say this, but…”
“Have they run out of invitations? Am I too late?”
“No, no, if anything you’re too early.”
“What?”
“Miss Taylor-Allen, I am so sorry to have to say this,” said Professor Flitwick. He really did look very sorry. “Unfortunately, only final year students are allowed to take part in the leaving ceremony.”
Zadie’s heart sank. “You mean I can’t go?”
“I am afraid so.”
“Hang on,” Reva’s voice called out from the side of the classroom, where she was waiting with the other two. They both looked sad on Zadie’s behalf, but Reva did not. She looked angry. “That’s not fair! You can’t exclude Zadie from the ceremony. It’s a rite of passage!”
“It’s a rite of passage for final year students.”
“But it’s not called a ‘final year students’ ceremony, it’s called the ‘leaving ceremony’. Zadie is leaving, so she should be allowed to go!”
“I…” Professor Flitwick sighed heavily. “I shall talk to the headmistress on your behalf, Miss Taylor-Allen. It might be that we can come to some arrangement for you. Leave it with me, and I will see what I can do.”
Disappointed, Zadie thanked Professor Flitwick, and left the classroom with her friends, who were all far more determined than she was.
“Leave it with him? As if he and McGonagall will do anything,” Reva muttered angrily. “I say we should take matters into our own hands.”
“I agree,” nodded Robin. “We can find a way to make sure that Zadie gets to go to this ceremony, I’m sure of it. Even if we don’t play by the rules.”
“Playing by the rules is for Quidditch.”
“Ain’t that the truth.”
Zadie looked anxiously at Victoire, who smirked slightly.
“Why don’t we just wait and see what the professors say?” she suggested. Reva and Robin looked affronted, and Reva opened her mouth as if to argue, but before she could do so, Victoire continued, “If they can’t solve the problem, then it’s down to us to do it for them, isn’t it?”
The other two murmured their approval, and Reva wrapped one of her arms around Zadie’s shoulder as the four girls walked down the familiar corridor together, as they had since their earliest days at Hogwarts.
“Don’t you worry, Zadie. One way or another, we will make sure that you get the final send off you deserve.”
Unfortunately, as Reva had predicted, neither Professor Flitwick nor the headmistress were able to help her with her predicament. They had both seemed apologetic about the situation, but apparently there was nothing to be done. If even Professor McGonagall couldn’t convince the school governors to let Zadie take part in the ceremony, then no one would be able to.
At least Reva and Robin had given up on their idea of finding a way to disrupt the ceremony so that Zadie could attend. She had been worried at first about what sort of chaotic plan they might be brewing — after all, she did not want to get into trouble on her very last day at Hogwarts — but as it turned out, they had not mentioned it since the first day they considered it. They might even have forgotten about it altogether.
Or so Zadie thought, until the morning of the leavers’ ceremony arrived, and she was awoken by the sound of a wooden spoon banging on a metal pot, and opened her eyes to see Victoire, Reva and Robin all standing around her bed.
“How did you two get in here?” Zadie asked Reva and Robin. She tilted her head at the wooden spoon and saucepan Reva held in her hands. “Where did you get that?”
“Kitchens,” came Reva’s answer. “We also got all these.”
She nodded to Robin, who opened her school bag to reveal an assortment of pastries.
“It’s breakfast time,” she said.
“What about going to the Great Hall?”
“No time, we need to eat now and get your trunk to the carriages ready for the ceremony.”
Zadie swallowed her mouthful of croissant. “I’m not going to the ceremony.” She looked helplessly at Victoire. Surely Victoire would make them see sense. “I’m not, am I?”
“Don’t worry. We’ve got our own ceremony planned, just for you,” said Victoire. Her lips twitched. “You’ll love it. I promise.”
Victoire’s promise reassured Zadie a little, so she allowed herself to relax and enjoy her last breakfast with her friends. Once they had finished, Victoire helped her carry her trunk to the horseless carriages that were waiting ready to transport the students to Hogsmeade station, before all three girls escorted her to the courtyard outside the Great Hall, where the leavers’ ceremony was taking place.
“Take a seat, Miss Taylor-Allen,” Victoire told her, mock-seriously, and Zadie did as instructed. She sat on the wall of the cloisters, and watched as her friends raised their wands and pointed them at their clothes.
A moment later, Robin was clad in a tatty brown coat, Victoire in a smart three-piece suit, and Reva in robes of emerald green. Zadie frowned.
“What is this?”
“It’s your leavers’ ceremony,” said Reva, in a clipped Edinburgh accent that made her sound almost exactly like Professor McGonagall. She cleared her throat. “Dearly beloved students, we are gathered here today to witness the leaving of Zadie Taylor-Allen from Hogwarts School. Miss Taylor-Allen has been a credit to the school in her time here, performing unimaginable feats, the likes of which I have not seen in my time as an educator. And I’ve been an educator for, like, fifty years.” She turned to Robin. “How old is McGonagall?”
“I dunno, maybe a hundred?”
“And I’ve been an educator for seventy years, maybe even eighty. More if I’ve been using really good moisturiser, I dunno,” Reva continued, her Scottish accent having returned, a little less convincing than it had been before. “We shall now hear from the deputy headmaster and head of Ravenclaw house, Professor Flitwick.”
“I have been Zadie’s Head of House since she was a very small and cute eleven-year-old,” Victoire said in a squeaky voice that was reminiscent of Professor Flitwick’s. “Now she is less small, but still very cute, and much better at both dancing and playing Quidditch.”
“But not so good that she stopped Gryffindor from winning the Cup this year,” Robin chipped in.
Reva nodded and beat her fist to her chest twice before raising it into the air above her head.
“Go lions,” she said, and Robin repeated the gesture.
“Anyway,” Victoire shook her head, “I, and everyone else in Ravenclaw, for that matter—”
“In all of Hogwarts.”
“— are incredibly proud of her. We are sad to see her go, but we can’t wait to see what incredible things she does once she is no longer held back by her troublemaking friends or stupid school rules.”
“Like ‘only seventh years at the leavers’ ceremony’,” said Robin.
“Or ‘no Ever-Bashing Boomerangs in the Potions classroom’,” Reva added. “Or ‘Professor Trelawney’s crystal balls are not to be used as Quaffles’.”
“Yeah, or—”
“Now, because we are time-limited,” Victoire interrupted Robin with a pointed look, “we will proceed to the end of the ceremony. When I call your name, you will step here so that the headmistress can put a hat on your head.” She cleared her throat and looked at the palm of her hand before calling out, “Zadie Taylor-Allen!”
Zadie laughed and stood up to the sound of her friends’ applause. “You haven’t actually stolen one of those hats, have you?”
Reva shook her head and held up a conical silver hat with an elastic chin strap and multicoloured ribbons cascading from the point of it. Zadie laughed harder as Reva placed the hat on her head and pulled the elastic under her chin.
“Next, Professor Hagrid will escort you to the last part of our ceremony.”
“There’s more?”
“Yeh, bu’ yeh have ter follow me ter the lake first,” said Robin. She walked away, mumbling, “I should not have said that.”
They walked down the cliff path in single file, Robin loudly imitating Professor Hagrid the entire duration of the journey. When they got to the bottom of the hill, they paused on the lakeshore, where the wooden boats that they had taken to the castle from the station on their first ever night had Hogwarts were waiting for the final years on the pebbled bank.
“Pick one.”
Zadie blinked. “I’m sorry, what?”
“Pick a boat,” Reva told her.
“What for?”
“To ride back across the lake, duh!”
“I can’t do that,” Zadie shook her head. “I can’t steal a boat. Victoire, tell them!”
But Victoire was on Robin and Reva’s side.
“It’s not stealing, it’s borrowing,” she reasoned. “And you deserve to have the same boat ride as everyone else.”
“But—”
“What are they going to do, put you in detention? Expel you? You’re already leaving!”
“And you’re leaving on one of these boats. We won’t take no for an answer. So pick one.”
There was no point in arguing; Zadie had learnt the hard way that when all her friends had made a decision, there was no way that they would change their minds. So, she looked at the boats and pointed to the one nearest the boat house. The girls cheered and set to work, carrying it to the water’s edge and into the lake itself, standing shin-deep in the water and holding it still for Zadie.
“Your chariot, milady,” said Robin. Zadie giggled, and with one final, cautious look back at the castle, joined them in the water.
It was ice cold, and soaked through her trainers and socks. She shivered, and took hold of Reva’s hand to step into the boat, which bobbed and rocked under her feet. Once she had sat down, the girls gripped the sides of the boat.
“Ready?”
“No, wait,” said Zadie. She bit her lip. “I just… Thank you. For this, and for everything. You guys are the best. You’re the best friends I’ve ever had.”
“Yeah, and we’re going to be your best friends for ages yet, so don’t start getting mushy,” Reva warned. “Victoire’s eyeliner isn’t waterproof.”
“Well, I didn’t think we’d be actually getting in the lake…”
“Also, we need to go. McGonagall’s coming.”
At Robin’s words, the other three girls looked up at the lake path, where the real Professors Hagrid and McGonagall were leading the seventh years down to the lakeshore. Zadie’s friends’ hands tightened on the sides of the boat.
“On three,” Victoire said decisively. “One…”
“Two…”
“Three!”
In perfect unison, Reva, Robin and Victoire pushed hard on the little wooden boat, which began to glide away through the water, small waves rippling away from its bow as it cut through the gleaming surface. The sunshine reflected on the water and warmed Zadie’s face, and a gentle breeze stirred her hair. Behind her, her friends were clapping, hollering, and laughing, and Zadie found herself laughing too, even as the headmistress strode across the pebbled shore towards them, a stern look on her face. But she did not look nearly as disapproving as Zadie had seen her look before, and behind her Professor Flitwick was giggling and… was that a single tear of joy tumbling from the gigantic eye of Professor Hagrid?
Clearly, none of them were that angry, and even if they were, it was too late. Zadie was gone, Zadie had left, Zadie was untouchable now.
Above her, a group of long-necked white birds had taken flight, the image of them reflecting on the surface of the lake and causing a familiar melody to play in her head that she hummed to herself as she sailed away from Hogwarts, ready to take to the next stage in her life.
She was ready.

WELCOME TO MY SUPER AWESOME 100 CHARACTER BATTLE!!
this bracket has 100 of my favorite characters in it (i have plenty more i just couldn’t fit them :’))
how the format works:
- the first rounds will consist of four characters up against each other, the two that have the most votes move on to the next round
- in the second rounds, the next four will go head to head (the two that win from one team and the two that won from the other) and one character will advance
- the next round will have the next two battle (the one that won from one team and the one that won from the other team) and one will advance
- the round after that will be the same as the last one except this one will decide the winner of that division, who will win?? who knows!
each poll will last for around one week, so you have plenty of time to vote for your favorite characters!
(i think it would also be funny if i gave trophies to the character with the least amount of votes overall and the character with the most votes overall)

Hastily Scrawled Warning Note, Puzzling Map
Hastily Scrawled Warning Note - if you could go back and change one decision you made in the game, what would it be?
I probably would have gotten myself kicked out of the university. The only reason I didn't was because I couldn't read the wiki correctly at the time, and thought that if I did I'd lock myself out of being called Professor. It just didn't sit well with the rest of the character, I feel.
Puzzling Map - favorite in-game location?
I'm a big fan of Polythreme, though moreso the Promenade than the Maze-Gardens. I'm also enjoying my time in the Khanate, Irem was beautiful and fun to navigate, and Port Cecil ought to be mentioned as an honourable mention, what with the Lamp-Cats. For non-zee locations, I really like Helicon House.

𝐙𝐈𝐀𝐍 𝐊𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐌 𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐍𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐇-𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐒𝐓 — 🇷🇦🇾🇲🇴🇳🇩 🇦🇧🇱🇦🇨🇰
THIRTY-SIX YEARS OLD; DEMI-MAN (THEY/HE); HISTORY OF MASS COMMUNICATION PROFESSOR AT UNCW; has lived in MIDTOWN since april 2022
Tumblr media
"The sky set to burst, the gold and the rust, the colour erupts, you fillin' my cup. The sun comin' up like I lived my whole life before the first light;"
name's pronounced zee-ahn; last sibling to join the Hearst empire; demi-man, will use they/them pronouns mostly, and often uses he/him around his family or while referring to his family (will not mind it if you use he/him pronouns with them, but please refrain from using gendered terms with them as they'll call you out on it). henley shirts and jeans are their usual attire alongside their camera; often has a book in their hands, too.
information —
triggers for — mentions of drugs, drug usage, misgendering
Zian was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Not only was their father rich, but their mother also came from old Connecticut money, which meant that anything the young boy wanted, they could have it. However, while the Ramnauth residence had tons of money to spare, it also lacked love and affection. Their father traveled a lot and their mother was often too enthralled in high society parties to pay attention to her own child, and so, Zian was raised by nannies, by piano tutors, violin professors and by the help around the house. As a child, he craved for the attention only parents could give, and only parents could also deny, and so, Zian would often find refuge in old sculptures in museums, in beautiful paintings and in books, often capturing the world through pictures which would allow the young Ramnauth to tell a story only they could know.
When he was fifteen, Zian’s mother divorced his father, which, did nothing much to his life as he barely saw the man to begin with. However, it apparently caused his mother Nandini to seek for the young teenager’s attention, thus making him often confuse her neediness for affection. And just like that, the woman transformed someone who had spent their first fifteen years of their life being neglected, into someone who would do anything and everything for their mother, after all, it was them against the world; or so she said.
By the time Zian had finished high school, his mother had already found a new companion to call her own, a man by the name of Oscar Hearst, one of the biggest names in the communication and the CEO of Hearst Co. A man who came with three other children and a billion dollar empire to be fought over once he bit the dust. A man, who’s empire didn’t reside in New York, but in North Carolina, where he was mostly found vacationing while anyone and everyone else tended to his business for him. To Zian, that union only meant he had to change addresses whenever he would leave Yale during summer holidays to visit his mother, as the Ivy League University had already had accepted his application for a Communications Studies major early on.
However, being entangled with a Hearst and marrying one, apparently meant so much more than a simple last name being added to his documents. It meant ferocious fights during the holidays, it meant being talked down to for not being ‘family’ enough, it meant having his love for the art and his safe haven being looked down on, it meant having his gender — or lack thereof — being disrespected by elder siblings he hadn’t even asked for. And yet, he still went on and got a B.A. in Business because his mother had asked him to. He still started working for Hearst Co. in his early years with an entry job, but God, he hated it.
He started spiralling down and developing a close relationship with illicit drugs in order to escape the hell he kept constantly being dragged to, by the people his mother had brought into his life without any sense of consideration for his boundaries. The more time he spent around his so-called family, the more miserable he felt. His spark suddenly being diminished by the companies he would keep, his brightness considered weakness. His love for photography was laughed on, his smart and diplomatic ideas were ignored. Only one person seemed to truly show affection towards Zian, and that was his now step-sister Josefin. She would come to his lectures, to his photograph exhibitions, she would actually listen whenever he opened his mouth to speak, and for the first time in his life, Zian actually felt like he had someone he could count on.
After spending some time enjoying endless nights hopping from gallery soirees, to parties, and eventually landing in strangers beds in New York City, Zian became attached to the boost of energy certain white powders would give him, despite also knowing that should anything like that reach his step-father’s ears, he would be done for. But then again, was he even considered important enough to the likes of Oscar and the rest of the Hearst that weren’t his sister?
Two years ago, Zian accepted a position at the University of North Carolina, teaching History of Mass Communication in both the History and the Communications Studies programs, which, is what actually makes him happy nowadays: the academic life. It’s not as glamorous as being in the line of succession of Hearst Co., but considering how he knows his step-siblings would rather see him dead than in charge of their father’s empire, despite him actually having a solid knowledge about how the world of new and old communications means work, Zian is more than glad to not be going toe to toe with these people.
The biggest problem is that Oscar Hearst himself, keeps dragging him to it.
