#im abt to start my villain arc #this is all exclusive to mcd but hear me out #dilf garroth. he looks like a bear. dad bob (but still muscular). really curly hair thats kinda damaged from how often he (was forced to) #straighten it as a child. his hair is one of those light blonds that almost look white and it's peppered with silver hairs. he either has a #stuble on his chin or its a short beard (there is no in between). he has crows feets and smile lines and eyebags (but he is an eligible #bachelor to the ladies in the town). he's like 6'5-6'7 because hes 'apart' of the divine warriors but he's like a teddy bear more than #anything. he's super hairy (esp on chest. face. and thighs) but bc of how light his hair is you can barely see it. #i could go on forever omfg #he also has elf-like ears because of the divine warriors (something exclusive to them) thing but he cut them because they made him so #recognizable. #the one unattractive thing about him is that he's british (-adjacent) but he has a nice voice so he's like #a 5.4 ig #(a 10. hes a 10. i need him.) #maj's descent

Cheat code for writing disabled characters in sci-fi/fantasy without eliminating their disability:

Don't change humanity, change what's available to humanity.

i.e.: If your magic removes/fixes a defect or your sci-fi lets you select for traits at birth, that's changing humanity. That's altering a fundamental aspect that real humans live with, and distancing your fictional version of humanity from the real deal by cutting out a portion of it that your setting deems "undesirable."

If your magic/sci-fi aids a defect (like magic netting that acts as a brace, or a wheelchair with wheels that transform to fit the environment), then you're taking humanity as we know it and saying "wouldn't it be cool if we had these tools?"

Don't change what makes us human, change what humans can create.
